I didn't realize the importance of a wedding DJ until I saw how much DJ Dan made the night

I'd never been to a wedding where I'd even given much thought to the DJ. But every guest I spoke with made a point to talk about how great DJ Dan was, and I agree. He was an absolute standout - he kept the dancefloor lively all night, he was a standout emcee, and he was a delight to work with. Dan is clearly a pro and from our first conversation I knew our wedding was in good hands with him. He took our wedding to the next level and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who asks me for wedding advice.

Dan Was in Fact The Man

Picking the right DJ was extremely important for us. Our friends love to dance so we really wanted to make sure we found the right person. We talked to a few different people and Dan felt miles apart from every other DJ we spoke with. From the gun I could tell he was not only great at what he does, but also a great person. Through the coordination process he was extremely good at guiding us through and giving his expert opinion on how to optimize the event. Dan also made the reception a blast. The dance floor was full nearly the entire time and we got tons of compliments on how great he was. We will 100% be recommending Dan to any of our friends getting married!

Best. DJ. Ever.

DJ Dan was nothing short of incredible. He was responsive, positive, kind, and above all he kept the dance floor full ALL night!! He was constantly making eye contact with my husband and I to make sure we were having a good time and approved of what he was playing. Music is extremely important to us and he accommodated our wide taste of different genres. He was amazing and we never had a single worry about music. He helped take so much stress off of the process and we are forever grateful for him!!

Great DJ to work with!

DJ Dan was absolutely wonderful to work with! He was very cordial and professional, more than easy to get a hold of, and worked really hard to make sure our reception was everything we could ever ask for. He made sure to get the wedding party's names correct (definitely a plus and a tiny detail that really goes a long way), played great songs and really got the dance floor going. My family isn't what you would call "dance happy" and they were out there grooving! Not cheesy or uncomfortable, Dan truly was kind and a joy to work with. My fiance and I had a surprise choreographed first dance, and Dan kept an eye out for us while we quickly rehearsed in the back beforehand. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great DJ!

Very happy!

We were so pleased to have Dan as our DJ! He was an excellent communicator, listener, and DJ. We were a little nervous about hiring someone for this role on the biggest day of our lives, but Dan was more than willing to meet with us in the month before our wedding to go over every detail of the reception with us. He was very thorough and listened to everyone of our questions and concerns. He was willing to tailor his services to our vision, and we couldn't have been happier. He had never been to our venue before, but he reassured us he would be there early to set up and get familiar with the venue. Not only was he amazing, but his rates were the best out there! Great music, packed dance floor

We used DJ Dan for our wedding in September and he was absolutely amazing. He took the time the week of our wedding to make sure he knew our timeline, our likes/dislikes and how to pronounce our wedding party’s names. Everything went smoothly through the whole night and he kept our schedule on track. Our dance floor was packed the entire night with all ages- from our young ring bearer/flower girl to cousins to aunts and uncles. We received compliments all night about how good the music was and we’re still hearing from people about how fun the dancing was. We would recommend him to anyone!

Having Dan as our DJ was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. We had a daytime wedding and I was a little concerned that people wouldn't have as much fun or be dancing, and honestly you have nothing to worry about with Dan. He really knows how to give the crowd the songs they respond best to. We had a crowd that would dance and sing to the most random songs (random country songs, polka, etc) and Dan was excellent at responding to the crowd. Dancing was a hit!! I was so surprised because I did not think we had a dancing crowd. It was so much fun and I would recommend Dan to EVERYONE. Any type of wedding you have, he will adapt to fit the vibe of the day. He is so professional, quick to respond, and it's very easy to trust his opinion with all his experience in the industry. He is so good at getting people on the dance floor without being annoying or obnoxious as I've seen DJs in my school dance days. We can't thank him enough for making our day so special - you will be so happy you chose Dan for your event - HE IS THE BEST!!!!!!

Dan is great! He communicates well throughout the process, is very open to suggestions while not afraid to give his own, and is a fantastic DJ! We can't say enough about Dan and his talent. We hired Dan a year our from our wedding from a friends recommendation and we are so thankful that we did. I'm the type of bride that knows what she wants and Dan was there to make sure I got it! We got married in an unconventional venue and needed him to run the show and he did just that! From start to finish we were so thankful and grateful for him!

DJ Dan is amazing. He did this great move where he invited everyone on the dance floor for the first slow song right after the first dances. I felt like after that moment, there were always people dancing - great way to start the evening. I gave him a must-play list with a few of our favorite songs but left the rest up to his knowledge and expertise and it sure worked! Everyone complimented me on such a fun evening and we couldn't be happier. Would highly recommend DJ Dan over and over again!

Our experience with Dan was nothing short of spectacular. From our 1st conversation with him, we really felt like we were in good hands. He was very responsive to our questions and continually reassured us through his communication that we had made the right decision.

Music was very important to us as being at some weddings with subpar music really killed the mood. Dan's music was like a magnet to the dance floor. Being born in the eighties, our musical taste is quite wide and Dan managed to capture all the styles of a playlist we might as well have created. Current hits, 90s hits, and oldies were sprinkled in seamlessly to create an experience we will never forget.

The checklist we went through with him was executed to a T (better than we ever thought possible!!) He even took a slower song we didn't think would be a great dance hit so we requested for cocktail hour and turned it into a perfect full wedding guest dance, something we never even thought of!! It was truly a magical moment. We both talked about it immediately when reminiscing about our special day.

Dan was also phenomenal as an emcee. Having a wedding party with some challenging names, we were a bit worried about butchering pronunciation but Dan nailed every one as if he had known the people for years. His commentary during the reception was few and far between but always seemed to happen at just the right moment, when needed.

Dan also provided music for our ceremony and cocktail hour that could not have gone better. We literally had zero issues and Dan was an integral part of our perfect day. We could not recommend Dan any more and strongly encourage considering him for your wedding or event. You will NOT be disappointed. Dan, thank you!! We are so happy we chose you as our Michigan Wedding DJ!!

From start to finish I could not think of a better experience. Before the wedding Dan took the time to talk with me, my wife, my mother-in-law to get a sense of not just the music we wanted, but how we hoped the night would go. He listened to us and gave his informed and professional opinion when we asked for it. He took the time to learn the correct pronunciations for each of our groomsmen and bridesmaids. He made sure to understand the timing of important events during the night like the cake cutting, the speeches, and the dances. His organizational understanding immediately made me feel like we were working with someone who genuinely cares about how our wedding was going to go.

The night of the wedding was where Dan really shined. His cocktail hour and dinner music was the perfect compliment to conversations and festive atmosphere. His dance playlist had something for everyone. I personally couldn't believe how much people wanted to dance. Our group could have easily danced for another hour because the music was so good and everyone was having such a great time.

After the wedding, he wrote my wife and I a very nice thank you letter. Dan was a true gentleman and professional. I could not recommend working with him enough.

Is there a button I can click for 10 stars? Our Wedding took place on May 27th 2017 at the Dearborn Inn. With it being a holiday weekend, my husband and I knew we had to book vendors earlier than our original time-frame to get the best. DJ Dan Nichols was just that, he was the best.
From our first phone conversation to our last, we were in awe of Dan’s professionalism, organization skills, honesty, and overall, Dan is just an amazing person. Dan understands the structure and importance of time-management which is something I truly respect. He has an eye for detail and wanted our Wedding to exceed our expectations. He asked questions regarding proper pronunciation and I asked questions about our first “choreographed” dance. That right there is what every Bride wants! Being able to trust your vendors, allowing you to be yourself and soak up this once in a lifetime chapter.
Having my roots established in the city where our Wedding was taking place, we were planning for a celebration… a 350 guest celebration. When we shared our numbers with Dan, automatically you could sense his excitement. He wasn’t nervous or took a step back when processing our numbers, but he was up for the challenge and wanted to bring entertainment that our guests would remember. With a happy heart I can boost that our dance floor was never empty and at the end of the night our guests were chanting “DJ Dan! One more song!” Almost three weeks after our perfect day, I am still hearing compliments from how FUN that weekend was.
After the Wedding, Dan wrote me the sweetest email thanking my family and me for such a wonderful evening. Dan is selfless and had genuine words to share; God has a way of putting people in your life for the better. Dan, from the bottom of my heart thank you for everything. You allowed me to be the best version of myself, kept things organized and brought happiness to all. You will always have a special place in the Stoming/Thomas family :)

Dan was recommended to us by another DJ who was booked and said she'd stake her reputation on him. She was not wrong! He kept the tunes coming, everyone was dancing (even my 96 year old great aunt) and everything was exactly as I hoped. I would definitely recommend Dan if you are looking for the DJ for the most important party you will throw.

Dan was the DJ at our wedding last weekend and I am so happy we found him and booked him! He is very professional and organized. He listened to our requests and offered suggestions for things we were undecided about. All our guests have been raving about how good our DJ was and how fun our wedding was. DJ Dan Nichols (we call him DJ Dan for short) was extremely helpful, organized, personable, professional, and awesome. There is not a single negative thing my wife or I could say about Dan or his services. He was readily available from the first phone call 10 months out all the way up to the final dance. When I first arrived at the hall, Dan's setup was professionally organized and he immediately came up to me and formally introduced himself. He also wanted to make sure we didn't make any last minute changes on our wedding prep sheet (which itself was super helpful).

We had zero worries going with Dan as our DJ and we were right not to worry. The flow of the evening was perfect. He nailed the grand entrance of the bridal party (Dan showed lots of enthusiasm, and pronounced every name correctly), played a nice mix of music during dinner, but most importantly, he kept our guests engaged and out on the dance floor throughout the reception.

I got to speak with Dan a few times throughout the night and it's obvious that he loves his work and takes pride in it. Our guests loved Dan and so did we. All of us would highly recommend him.

You know you have a great DJ when the crowd is chanting "One More Song" after the lights come on at the end of the night. Dan was awesome--we spoke the week of the wedding and outlined the entire wedding and reception. He as very details-oriented, which I appreciated. He kept the flow of the wedding going and kept things organized so that we didn't have to worry about it. I honestly don't remember much about the music choices because I was so in the zone, but the dance floor was packed and everyone has been raving about how fun the wedding was. Great DJ, highly recommend.

Dan DJed our wedding at the University of Michigan Museum of Art. He was a pleasure to work with, very friendly and professional. He worked with us personally to help nail down our musical taste, even when we couldn't quite describe it ourselves, and was very accommodating of our requests. One of my favorite things about Dan is his honesty; he's not afraid to let you know if he doesn't think a song or artist will work given your setting and group, which I really appreciated. After all, he's the DJ, not me; I hired him because he has the experience to know that kind of stuff!

He was an excellent MC, doing a great job directing our introductions and toasts. Our wedding was pretty small (<100 people), which can be tough for a DJ to get a lot of people dancing (and keep them dancing). Dan did a great job of managing the energy and using a variety of music to keep people dancing all night. He was very open to requests and was able to work in all of our must-plays seamlessly.

I would book Dan again in a heart beat. Dan came highly recommended. I was extremely happy with all my vendors, but Dan was such a comfort to me throughout the months leading up to the wedding and during the wedding itself. His professionalism and demeanor from the beginning instilled a confidence that to me was priceless, and after I booked him I did not worry about it another minute but for the few things we had to figure out after our Monday(before the wedding) conversation. If you are a detail-oriented person and planning a wedding, whew, what a relief to have someone like Dan that you can rely on! The groom is very particular when it comes to music, and we have differing tastes, but Dan did a great job pleasing us both and getting our varied age groups on the dance floor. We used Dan for the ceremony music and sound as well, it was nice to have one less thing to worry about. He was at the venue and all set up before I even arrived. He kept the evening running smoothly, we were very pleased!

We had our wedding back in May, and Dan did a great job keeping in contact with us. He was always on top of things and definitely someone I would recommend. Simply put, this is his job and he does his job very well. The music selection was perfect and he chose the right songs for the right mood. Dan was so easy to work with! He was accommodating and took everything we had to say into account. He honored our "must play" and "do not play list" and was nothing but professional. He was extremely dependable, pronounced everyones names correctly (and there were some tough ones-believe me!), and kept the party going! Dan is simply the best. He was so friendly, so professional, and so easy to work with. My husband and I are Egyptian, and we knew we wanted to balance classic oldies tunes with some good belly dancing music. Dan helped us accomplish this perfectly! He gave us excellent guidance about what we could do to help him execute this and was very prompt in responding to any questions we had the week of the wedding. Dan was definitely one of the biggest factors in how fun our night was -our dance floor was packed the entire night. Dan was great! He really took into account our style and what we wanted for the evening (types of artists, songs, ect.) but he also read the crowd very well. It was such a hot day (and we were in a barn with no AC) and he somehow managed to lure everyone inside the barn to dance. We had the best time. He also did great with keeping our night on track with announcements- very professional, and very helpful. Thanks Dan!

Dan did a great job at my daughter's wedding. He kept people dancing from beginning to end. The music wasn't too loud and after reviewing my list of songs we chose to hear, he quickly learned what music preferences we had and continued the theme throughout the evening. He made musical adjustments to accommodate all ages at the reception. We had all generations dancing to the variety of music. He emceed at the right times, made any necessary adjustments and took care of requests throughout the evening. He did his job eloquently and with ease and blended into the dancing crowd. Several guests commented to us that he was a really good DJ. He was pleasant and friendly and many said he was just a good guy. He was good to work with, understood what we wanted and made it a wedding to remember!!

Dan provided his DJ services for both our wedding ceremony and reception. I found Dan to be extremely professional. He arrived at the venue early to set-up his equipment, he was dressed appropriately, and he made sure the entire wedding flowed seamlessly. Dan was also very helpful throughout the planning process. I was struggling with finding the perfect ceremony music, and he did an excellent job of guiding me in the right direction. He also learned about our musical tastes before the wedding and infused some of our very favorite music into the reception. His musical choices throughout the reception were on point and he kept the dance floor full the entire night! The music is such a key component of your wedding, and I feel very lucky that Dan was our DJ because he made sure our wedding fun for us and all of our guests! Dan was amazing - he DJ'ed and also MC'ed the whole night, and was super knowledgable and helpful in the planning process. He was very detail-oriented, and gave tips and shared his experience with me, but also made me feel 100% comfortable to make my own decisions as well. He helped make the improvised timeline a smooth one, since the bridal party was running late coming to the reception from pictures. The dance floor was jam-packed all night, and everyone went on about how much fun they had, and I know Dan was a big part of that success! Would 100% recommend him to anyone.

Dan is awesome! He responded quickly to all my emails and answered all my questions. He was very helpful in helping me pick the music for my wedding. He made sure everyone was dancing and he kept the dance floor full until the very end! I've had numerous people tell me they have never danced as much as the did at our wedding. Dan Nichols did an awesome job with my wedding. He played all of the songs that I wanted and the other ones kept everyone on the dance floor! He did a fabulous job getting everyone on the dance floor as soon as dinner was over. It was exactly what I wanted! I loved every second of my wedding. The music and DJ can make or break a wedding, and Dan made my wedding day awesome!

My husband and I chose this DJ after he did such a wonderful job at our friends' wedding. Their wedding was 150 people; ours was 20. Dan said he'd never done so small a group before, but he totally read the crowd and played dinner music when people wanted to talk and interspersed great dance tunes that got even my stodgy parents onto the dance floor. He was very conscientious, making sure he wasn't going to play anything we didn't like and setting up well in advance. He provided the music for the ceremony as well as the reception and really steered the evening in a positive direction. He is worth every penny we paid and more.

As the father of the bride and a music lover choosing the right guy for the job was critical. My daughter and her now husband are also pretty young and had a large percentage of their friends at the event. So, finding the right dj that could handle the job was important to us. After all as Dan said, "a good dj plays the right mix and a great dj mixes the events of the evening, the timing, rhythm and flow as well as the right music". Without a doubt the Dearborn Inn gave us the right referral for the job in DJ Dan Nichols. He had a talent for keeping the party going all night. He played only a handful of slow songs choosing instead to keep us all moving to music from several genres. It never felt lopsided he seemed to seamlessly mix from one era to the next. He also handled the emcee duties effortlessly and was a minimalist on the mic. Lastly -- it's true... he was several hundred dollars more than some other options but worth every single penny. I'll refer him over and over !

Dan DJ'd for our daughter's wedding and his thoroughness, flexibility, efficiency and friendly demeanor made it a fantastic evening enjoyed by all. He got our multi-generational party started AND kept it going--we had to kick people out after midnight as no one wanted to leave! He took care of all the various components of the program so that we didn't have to worry about a thing and could just enjoy our daughter's wedding. Many of our friends also remarked: "What a great DJ!"

Thank you so much for everything that you did for us! We had such an amazing time and the night was seamless and perfect thanks to you!! You kept me informed all night and kept the party going which was amazing!! From start to finish your communication, professionalism, and kindness made me feel so comfortable and at ease! The wedding party was so impressed with you, and appreciated you giving them warnings before their speeches and dances. You were so happy and joyful to be around, and even remembered names of multiple important people to us so you could joke around with them on the dance floor (which was a hit!). Being from out of state we were limited to DJ suggestions from the reception hall and what we could find from websites and online reviews. Thankfully we listened to the testimonials and booked Dan for our wedding. While he was a little bit more than the competition the service more than made up for it. Dan was far more than a DJ playing music. He kept the reception moving with never a slow moment. His suggestions and experience helped us plan the event and what to expect. In the end we could not have been happier with the results. We have gotten non-stop compliments on how fun our reception was and much of that thanks goes to Dan. If ever in Michigan for another wedding we hope he's the DJ!

Dan Nichols was excellent. I found him easy to work with, meticulous, and professional at all times. I truly appreciated his knowledge of how to keep the party flowing and his seamless integration of our atypical music choices with more mainstream music that our guests would know. We were married at a location with 2 weddings occurring at the same time; the banquets director told my mom that he found himself observing our wedding more because it was more fun and better music. We had numerous comments from family and friends, about what a great party it was. I think a large part of that is because of Dan. Thank you Dan!

Dan was absolutely AMAZING!!! He kept the evening running smoothly and made it look effortless, which was quite the feat with a bridal party of over 20 people! My husband and I had a mix of ages amongst our guests ranging mainly from 20-65! Regardless of this, Dan zoned in on what everyone liked and the dance floor was packed until 1am! We could not have been more pleased with DJ Dan!

A few days before the wedding he called to run through all of the information he needed to know, and was able to supply us with extra equipment that we needed for the ceremony. He played music for the ceremony and reception and did an excellent job. Absolutely nothing went wrong the entire evening! Actually, because of DJ Dan things ran more smoothly. He would let me know when I should get going with the next thing - such as cutting the cake, bouquet toss, first dances, etc. He was great at following the schedule that we gave him - which helped us out a lot!

When it was time to dance, the dance floor was completely packed for the rest of the night! My parents were afraid of hiring a DJ who would let the dance floor die by playing the wrong music, but DJ Dan played the perfect music to keep people dancing all night long.

I highly recommend that you choose DJ Dan for your wedding. I have no complaints but many great things to say about the service he provided us with!

Dan was an absolutely fantastic DJ. Planning a wedding can be so stressful, so when the planning's over it's great to have a worry-free evening of partying. This is what Dan can deliver!

My wife and I had a pretty standard mix of guests for a couple in their mid twenties: Our older relatives, our friends and relatives in our age group, and dozens of our young cousins and siblings. Dan pleased everyone of these demographics!

About a week before our wedding, we had a phone call with Dan to plan out the music for the big day. We had some songs picked out- walk down the aisle, mother/groom, father/bride, bride/groom, etc.- and Dan was able to find everything we requested, and make some suggestions where we were undecided. Not only that, on the Big Day he had a great sense for starting songs and fading them out at the right moments. This was great, since we had grand visions of choreographing the ceremony to some specific moments in our favorite songs, and it all went off without a hitch.

But when it came to the playlist for the reception, we let Dan take the reigns, and that was a great decision. We gave him a very short list of "must play" songs, and otherwise told him that nothing was off limits so long as people were having a good time, and he delivered! It was a great mix of top 40, group/line dance songs, classic oldies, and some of the great "modern classics" from the 90s and 2000s that we remember fondly from middle school through college. Without any instruction from us, Dan knew his audience and played a fantastic mix.

He also was sure to check with us whenever an "iffy" song request came up. Since we had plenty of young children, he checked with me before playing Shaggy's "It Wasn't Me," and he made sure my wife was ok with the song "Bad Romance" at the start of what we hope will be a very good one :)

In short, I can't recommend Dan enough! It might be the best decision you ever make, besides saying "I do"!

Dan is the man! He is the best! Stop wasting your time looking for a DJ. I am a mother of the bride and it was exhausting looking for one. I just happened to see his You Tube videos on line. He was reviewing different wedding venues in Michigan. I liked what he had to say. I went to his web site and he clearly stated what he will and will not do. He keeps his promises! Everyone was impressed! My daughter and her new husband were on the dance floor most of the time(and they don't dance much!). He got everyone enjoying the music and happy to be at the reception. He made a point of talking to my husband and myself at various times during the event and he impressed the wedding coordinators as welll. He is now at the top of their approved vendor list! Do yourself a favor and hire the best---Dan Nichols!

Dan was awesome. We highly recommend him for a wedding. Like he mentions, he is a little bit more than other DJs, but you get what you pay for. He assisted in a lot of the things you wouldn't think is needed until the big day and helped alleviate a lot of the stress that went on. Cool guy and fun to work with. Dan Nichols did a fantastic job at our wedding reception. He was very easy to work with throughout the entire process -- from our initial introduction via email, to when we spoke on the phone the week prior to discuss the flow of the evening, and then when we met in person at the actual event. Initially I was weary of not meeting face to face well in advance to discuss everything, but Dan assured me that it was best for both of us to not meet too far in advance as he likes to be able to be completely focused and not have to think about the other weddings that may be happening every weekend for months prior to my wedding day. I respected his creative mindset and was glad to have his uninterrupted attention days prior and on my wedding day. Dan was very professional in his discussion with my husband and I about introductions and very serious about announcing names correctly (which I appreciated because of foreign family names!). We provided Dan with a play list and he pretty much stuck to it, but -- as he appropriately forewarned us -- he likes to embrace the vibe of the dance floor and go with what's best in the moment. He executed this wonderfully, and our dance floor was packed the entire night! Dan fulfilled my expectations as a NON-cheesy wedding DJ. I thank him for that!!

Ryan and I first met Dan at a friend's wedding three years ago. It was a great party, and we loved the music. Imagine our surprise when last summer, we ran into him again at another friend's wedding! Once again . . . awesome music selections, packed dance floor, tons of fun.

So, when we started planning our own wedding, we knew that we HAD to get Dan signed up to be a part of our big day! It was one of the best decisions we made. From my first phone call with Dan, I knew that he understood our vision for the reception, and that he had the experience, personality, class, and skills to make it happen.

Dan was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. He spent over an hour on the phone with us the week before the ceremony, going over the exact details of our wedding party names and pronunciations, our entrance songs, a list of songs we wanted to hear and songs we didn't, and a detailed timeline to bring it all together. Dan understood our desire to get through dinner, speeches, trad. dances, etc. as quickly as possible so that we could get everyone on the dance floor and really let the party begin. He made this happen masterfully. Dan has a keen sense of timing, and knew exactly when to speed up or slow down our planned timeline to successfully direct the momentum of the party. From the first time he invited everyone up to join us (and, they actually all came!), we had a packed dance floor. And, it lasted the entire night! Guest after guest told us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to, and everyone had a blast.

I cannot recommend Dan Nichols highly enough. He was a huge part of the success of our wedding, our friend's weddings, and hopefully more weddings that I attend in the future! Hire Dan . . . it will be one of your best decisions!

We hired Dan after receiving a professional recommendation from another wedding DJ, and I am extremely glad we listened. Dan ended up being much more than a DJ. It would be more accurate to describe what he did as a reception coordinator. Besides keeping the music going all night, Dan communicated with us, the photographers and videographers to make sure nothing was missed during the reception.

He gave his honest opinion about things from the very start and helped keep us on course. When it looked like the path our reception entrance was going to take would be a little awkward, he spoke with all the other vendors and we came up with a new plan that made for better video and pictures right on the spot. Everything went off without a hitch.

Musically he was very flexible and adept at sensing the vibe of the room. We had a huge age range but there was something for everyone played during the night. He respected our guests requests without venturing into our "Do Not Play" list or disrupting the flow of the night. We had a view songs I had custom remixed for our first dances and he worked with us so everything was exactly what we wanted.

I can't recommend Dan highly enough. He's a consummate professional from start to finish.

From start to finish there were always people on the dance floor. At one point during the night Dan started to play a song that caused almost everyone to walk off the dance floor. Within seconds, and before they could all make it off the floor, he changed songs and brought out more people than were out dancing prior to this. I felt that was impressive! If we had the chance to redo the night, we wouldn't hesitate to have Dan there! He is great!

I have been to several weddings where Dan was the DJ so there was no doubt that we wanted him for our wedding. Dan is professional and very helpful in keeping the reception flowing. He talked to us about what we were looking for and provided top-notch service. He plays a great variety of music and keeps the party going! I had previously seen Dan DJ at a fraternity brother's wedding. I was very confident he'd do a great job on my wedding day. He was a little more expensive than others out there, but I was willing to take the risk having seen what he could do. He did not let us down. His professionalism and attention to detail was right on during the events at the beginning of the evening. He worked well with our other vendors and took a ton of stress out of the equation as he directed the activities. Once the dancing commenced, we were a little worried that we'd have to spend a little more time out on the dance floor than anticipated considering our crowd didn't seem totally like the "dancing bunch." However, as the evening continued, the dance floor got steadily more and more full and we were very pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend Dan if you want a solid DJ with years of experience.

In addition to what was expected, he somehow motivated the junior bridesmaid to walk into the reception during the introduction song, even though she was on the verge of having an anxiety attack. Everything went well. He also made a star out of the junior groomsman on the dance floor. These are the intangibles that are worth paying for. Thanks Dan!

DJ Dan was amazing, and worth every penny we paid. He helped me (the bride) stay cool during the reception because he had everything under control. He knew the names of all of the bridal party and parents, and kept things running smoothly. Most importantly to me, we had a very specific music list for the ceremony. He was very good at fading in/out songs so it didn't seem jumpy, and had perfect timing for the bride entrance song and the exit music. He was also very personable with guests, had a great sense of humor, and honored many of the guests requests for certain songs. We had a tough crowd at our wedding (not really into dancing) and he got a majority of them up there moving! He was also punctual-came a couple hours early to get set up and organize. We had a horrible rainy day for our wedding, and he was very flexible with moving his equipment in and outside (since we kept changing our mind about having the ceremony indoors/outdoors). I would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ-it's one less thing you (as a bride) would have to worry about. If I ever have another event that requires a DJ, I will be calling him!

Katie and I wanted to make sure we told you how grateful we
are for the fine job you did. Your musical choices were
excellent--from the fill-music during our somewhat unusual ceremony,
all the way through to the end of the night. We couldn't believe how
crowded the dance floor was all night, and that is entirely a credit
to you. You more than made good on your 12 point pledge, and did a
fantastic job keeping the night moving.

You are a true class act, and will receive our enthusiastic
endorsement whenever we're asked for dj recommendations. And we will
always hope to run into you at the weddings of friends and family, as
it's sure to be a great night.

Dan is awesome!! I found him through a friend whose wedding he DJ'd. After looking at his website and having a brief conversation with him, I immediately felt comfortable and did not feel the need to look any further. Dan was open, honest, and direct from the very beginning which I really appreciated. He DJ'd both our ceremony and reception. After only a couple of conversations he knew and felt confident in the type of music we wanted to hear at our wedding. Music is a VERY integral part of both my husband (who is a musician) and my life so finding the right DJ was a priority for us. Our guests were on the dance floor the entire night and had nothing but positive feedback. Dan was exactly what we were looking for!!

Dan was the MC at our wedding (a family member was the DJ) and he did a FANTASTIC job. He is extremely personable and we really appreciated his attention to detail. We are extremely hard to impress but Dan went above our expectations. We feel very lucky to have found him and would highly recommend him to anyone planning a wedding.

DJ Dan was a fantastic part of our vendor list - he was a vital part of our wedding day with not only providing DJ services, but also officiating our wedding ceremony. He kept the dance floor full the entire night - and still managed to play every song on my "please play" list! He is an amazing person to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in hiring only "the best"!!

Dan was awesome! Everything came together with ease. Dan was a complete professional. He even did some extra digging around for us when we had forgotten to get some music and audio setup for our ceremony! Which was very kind. He kept our evening moving along smoothly, honored requests that we and our guests had and he was there until the very end! Thank you!

Dan was great - kept the party going without being obnoxious. He was very detail-oriented, as far as keeping names, relationships, songs, etc. straight. He also has great advice regarding the timing of events - even though he doesn't need to talk to you until the week before the wedding, don't hesitate to call him several months before to get his thoughts on the timing. He had some great advice, and is always more than happy to answer questions, even several months/weeks out.

Dan was great! He was enthusiastic, friendly, outgoing...everything you could want in a wedding DJ. He even greeted us outside and explained how he was going to introduce everyone. He was incredibly helpful and played all the music we made special requests for. He used his experience in judging crowds and made adjustments after asking us. I would recommend him to any bride in the area!

Dan did a great job getting everyone dancing. He helped us with entrance song choices and made our anniversary dance extra special by having guests form a circle around the dance floor after the stepped off. It was amazing and one of my favorite parts of the entire night. Further, the music was never too loud.

Dan was very responsive and knowledgeable and worked around my schedule to coordinate the event. The wedding itself was a great time, everyone packed the dance floor and Dan ensured our guests were enjoying themselves.

Dan made our wedding. Our dance floor was full ALL night long, right up until they turned the lights on. Our expectations were exceeded at every point through out the night, and a large part of it was because of this service. Things moved very smoothly from speeches to bouquet/garter dance to dancing. I would not hesitate for one second to recommend Dan to anyone who is looking for a DJ, and would definitely try to acquire his services for any future events I may have. Thank you Dan!

Dan did an excellent job at DJing our wedding. He was very professional and easy to work with. He set the expectation early on that he would not "cheese" up the reception like some DJs, and definitely lived up to it. Highly recommended.

Had the bride, groom, and guests interests first. Was very respectful, and easy to talk to. Music was at a perfect volume for dancing and carrying on conversations.
