Can’t wait to wear my dress!

If you live in central Illinois, I highly recommend shopping for your wedding dress at Michelle’s Bridal! Candice was amazing to work with; she listened to me, understood my vision, and was able to change directions midway through the appointment. I look at pictures of my dress almost daily - that’s how excited I am to wear my dress!!

Kayla made my wedding dress shopping experience wonderful. She made sure everyone was taken care of and had the perfect dresses picked out for me. She even had example bridesmaid dresses set out so I could see how my colors would look with my dress. She went the extra mile to check out my social media and see what kind of style I was looking for, I had a hard time picking one dress, I wanted them all. I can’t wait for my dress to arrive

I love this place!

I would recommend this place for any of your wedding attire. I got a one-of-a-kind dress and beautiful bridesmaid dresses from this place. I love it and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a beautiful dress. It was exactly what I wanted and what I envisioned, and it made my day the most wonderful day because I felt so beautiful

Great Experience!

They personalized my experience with hand picked dresses and a package of goodies. My family and I had a very memorable experience and we found my dress! The staff were very friendly and professional. This was the first and only place we went to for dress shopping. The dresses are a little pricey but the dress I loved was on the clearance rack and in my budget.

Michelle's is such a great place for dresses! I didn't have an appointment and they were able to squeeze me in! We found THE dress quickly and in my size!! They even let us come in the next day again for me to try it on once more for my family. I picked out the bridesmaid dresses online and they were able to get the same style in for when I had the bridesmaids try it on to make sure they loved it. Almost every time I came in they let me try on my dress again! They always let me know when the sales were happening and when the bridesmaid dresses came in. They held my dress for me until the week of since I live in Arizona and couldn't get it any sooner, plus I had to make sure it still fit post baby! All the staff members are very friendly and very helpful! I continuously recommend Michelle's to everyone I know in Illinois!

The staff at Michelle's is phenomenal. Alex was the best consultant I could have asked for. My first dress session (at a different salon) was a complete disaster. Alex took the time to listen and get to know me in order to make it the best appointment possible. I found my dress that day and am so grateful for her.

Working with Michelle's was a dream come true from the very first appointment. Alex was perfect. She really grasped what style I was going for and helped me find the perfect wedding gown. I was so happy with my experience with my gown that I also purchased my bridesmaid dresses, ties, flower girl dress, mother of the bride and grandmother of the brides dresses through Michelle's. The entire staff made the experience special and stress free.

I have been to quite a few shops to look for my dress and no one compares to Michelle's I am so extremely impressed not only with their dress selection, but they are so professional and they stay with you the entire visit to help you with whatever you need. I recommend this company to anyone you will not be disappointed EVER!

By far the best bridal experience in Urbana-Champaign - the atmosphere is fantastic, the consultants are wonderful, and the selection is impressive! If you're looking for a wedding dress in the area, I would highly recommending checking out Michelle's!

Kiersten was great when choosing and ordering our tuxedos! She was helpful when we were deciding what to order, replied to all of my questions immediately, and she and Matt were very friendly! We were very pleased on our wedding day!

Cassidy helped me find my dream gown for our September wedding! I made my first appointment on a whim and with a very broad idea of what I wanted in a wedding dress. She was extremely patient and provided excellent input for finding the perfect dress and accessories! I LOVED my Maggie gown and MEG accessories! They were very classic and simple which was exactly what I'd envisioned!
The ladies at Michelle's provided great customer service every time I came to the shop for an appointment! Kiersten made choosing our tuxes a super easy experience and kept me in the loop with updates on all of the groomsmen. We had just two issues with tux sizes and those were resolved perfectly the day prior to the wedding.
I couldn't have asked for more in a bridal and tuxedo shop. If you're in the market for a wedding gown or tuxes, this should be your first stop!

Michelle's is amazing!! I filled out a style profile beforehand, and when I got there they had a dressing room that had a sign that said "Hannah's Closet" with a bunch of amazing dresses already pulled. Their selection was beautiful and had options at many price points. Michelle's is the best!

Cassidy worked with me in 2014 for my 2015 wedding. She was fantastic, helping me pick dresses until we narrowed down to the one! They let my girlfriends and I bring in champagne to celebrate the dress and made it very fun. The dress was made so quickly and allowed plenty of time for alterations. I never thought I'd have so many compliments on a dress, but it really stole the show!

I had my heart set on a classic style lace trumpet gown. I researched online for pictures in price ranges I could afford. Allure dresses kept catching my eye, and Michelle's Bridal happened to carry Allure dresses. Once I went in for my appointment with Lauren and explained what I was looking for. As I was picking through the Allure dresses she suggested that I go outside the box and picked a couple from other designers that met my requests. Turns out she knew what I was looking for better than I did! I ended up leaving with a breath taking Maggie Sottero gown that fit the exact classy romantic feel I was wanting. And she was sure to keep it well in my price range. I made the order right away since it takes about 6 months for an order to come in. They kept great contact with me afterwards whenever I had any questions about my order or payments. After I had gotten my dress I had walked through a few other wedding shops that had dress sections included. It reassured me that I made the best choice of where to get my dress. Michelle's does not over charge for dresses like I had seen in other shops.

Hannah was the bomb!! She was very helpful, knowledgable, but not overbearing! She gave me time to look through all of the dresses and let me try on all that I picked out! I never felt rushed or pressured! Out of the 5 places we tried on dresses this place was definitely my favorite!! Very clean, friendly, and professional! I knew I found my dress the second I put it on! And Hannah knew it too, and gave me time alone to fully make my decision! Highly recommend Michelle's!

I ended up purchasing my wedding gown, bridesmaid dresses, and tuxes from Michelle's. I absolutely loved how easy they made it to get all of that taken care of at the same time! It wasn't my intention going in to find my dress as well as one for my bridesmaids but I'm so glad I did! Whenever I have a new question and call them they always answer it right away! They also will hold dresses for no extra charge if you can't get it right away which a lot of bridal shops will not do. Every consultant there is genuine and so helpful. My consultant gave me so many different ideas for what I can do with my dress and veil that I will definitely make sure to do. They pay attention to every detail! I tell people all the time that I went to Michelle's and they should too!

I had such a fun time trying on wedding dresses and ultimately purchasing a gown at Michelle's. There were a number of beautiful gowns to choose from and Tonya helped me find the perfect one. She listened to what I was looking for and what I didn't want and then chose gowns for me that fit those needs. I tried on about 7 different gowns and finally found the perfect one! My dress was ordered and arrived in about 5 months. I live out of state, so they kept it there for me for a while. I had my alterations done there as well and my dress fit perfectly after one try! I also got a beautiful sparkling headband there that completed my outfit! Overall, Michelle's was a huge success!

I bought my wedding dress here. The saleswomen are not pushy, but helpful. I highly recommend them. I gave my budget, and they worked with it. Just a piece of advice, include the veil and other accessories within your budget. That was something I did not think about at first.

Michelles has been great to work with! We got our bridesmaids dress and tux from them. I have not seen the tux yet as our wedding is not till December but Kiersten is great and so sweet!! Our bridesmaids dress are gorgeous!!! The prettiest bridesmaids dress I have ever seen.. They are always very friendly there and would recommend them to anyone!

Michelle's happened to have the dress I fell in love with on Pinterest and as soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one. Lauren Allen was especially helpful and super sweet. The whole process from trying on to buying was so easy. Michelle's was a great environment. Everyone working was just as excited as I was that I found my dress. Highly recommended!

After using Michelle's Bridal for both of my daughters' weddings, I can say that for both experiences we were treated as if our needs were their top priorities. Their service was always helpful, professional, and they were very well organized. From the wedding dress, to the bridesmaids and mother of the bride dress, to the tuxes, we were very pleased with both the service and the quality. I would certainly recommend Michelle's!

Michelle's Bridal was fantastic to work with. They helped me put together the perfect wedding looks for the entire wedding party. Everyone looked absolutely perfect in their dresses and tuxes. I was nervous about finding the perfect dress, and somehow with Cassidy's help I managed to find it with only trying on 5 dresses. She was able to read my style and found something that made me look amazing a beautiful. I truly felt gorgeous on my wedding day. I would definitely recommend Michelle's to anyone getting married. The experience there far exceeded my expectations and any other bridal store I had previously visited.

I went to Michelle's first and found a dress that I loved. I have a really hard time making decisions, so I went to some other shops in the area. The experiences I had at those places were no match to the service I had at Michelle's. My consultant Morgan listened to everything I had to say and found my perfect dress!

I am so in love with my dress that I bought from Michelle's. The staff is all so well trained and the products they carry are the best. You need to look your best on your wedding day and they ladies at Michelle's will make for sure that you do.

I had been to several states, trying on tons of dresses, looking for that perfect, unique one. When I tried on one at Michelles and mentioned that I just wanted something covered in polka dots---they went into another room, and came back with a white dress covered in polka dots! It fit almost perfectly and I bought it off the rack. Their seamstress, Jeanie, did my alterations, and I was good to go. Overall, a great experience!! Thanks girls!!

The staff at Michelle Bridal, especially Cassidy, did a great job helping me select my gowns and my accessories. With no pressure to buy anything I was treated like royalty all the time. I went to other bridal shops in the area and their service and experience are the best.

Loved, loved, loved my experience at Michelle's. Thanks to them, I have my dream dress!

I live in LA but was in Urbana for Thanksgiving with my family. I had an appointment for the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend but found out my mother unexpectedly got Friday off work as well. I called the morning of Black Friday to see if Michelle's could fit me in that day, and Judy got me an appointment that afternoon, no problem! And it only got better from there.

Cassidy was a fantastic consultant. She listened attentively when I described what I was looking for, and although the shop was set up a little differently than normal due to the Black Friday sale, she got my mother and me oriented and let us pull our own dresses to try on. Michelle's selection is great and I quickly had to stop myself from pulling dress after dress after dress. Once in the dressing room, Cassidy was enormously helpful and listened to my feedback with each dress, helping me to narrow down my focus. She also was great with suggesting accessories, bringing me different belts and sashes to try on, as well as veils, necklaces, etc. -- all helping to complete "the look" and give me a better idea of what the dress would look like on the big day. I was interested in trying on a birdcage veil and Cassidy quickly brought another consultant over to help with that, as well. Unlike at some other salons, I never felt rushed or pressured for a single moment! Thanks to Cassidy and the team at Michelle's, I found the PERFECT dress for me and couldn't be happier! Thank you, Michelle's!

Monica, Jen, & all the girls there were wonderful & patient! We purchased/rented a total of 26 garments & had not one problem & if there was I am oblivious to it because was taken care of ASAP! I purchased my Maggie Sottero Jenna from Michelle's in December 2010. My consultant, Jenna, was phenomenal (she's no longer there as she moved to Denver). She helped my aunt and I pick out several different silhouettes and styles. The first dress I tried on was the Jenna, which ended up being the one, but also had me try on the rest to make sure. Once we decided on the Jenna, something was still missing. I really loved the enzoani Diana sash, but it didn't flatter the dress. She brought out an essence of Australia sash, but it wasn't quite right either. Together we figured out that the essence sash on a black belt was perfect. She finished off the look with a gorgeous cathedral length raw edge veil, and made me feel like a beautiful bride for the first time. Jenna made a bittersweet moment (both of my parents passed away) turn into a spectacular moment, and one of my favorites in all of my planning.

Jen at Michelle's Bridal is the best!! Book your appointment with her! She doesn't rush you and truely is there to help you find "the one." Michelle's has a large selection, great staff, big changing rooms, and a nice area to show family your dress selections.

I got my dress, veil, jewelry, tuxedos, bridesmaids dresses, flower-girl dresses, and Mother of the Bride dress here. They were wonderful. I worked most with Keely. She was infinitely patient as my mother and I tried on dress after dress. Everything came in with plenty of time to spare. I decided last-minute to order a bracelet, and Michelle's put in the order and had it to me a week before my wedding. Our tux jackets came in too small, but Michelles had new jackets the next morning for pickup. Both my mother and I got our dresses altered at Michelles. We were very particular and had many fittings, but were thrilled with how they turned out! They kept me informed as to payments and order statuses, so that I didn't lose track of anything.
I highly recommend Michelle's for any bridal attire!

Jen at Michelle's is the best! She was so helpful and a lot of fun to work with. She really knew the right questions to ask to get me into my perfect dress! She was also very helpful with bridesmaid dresses and the mother of the bride dress! I have been back to Michelle's several times with friends and relatives that are also getting married and have always had a very positive experience. I cannot say enough about the staff of Michelle's Bridal. The store and it's employees are amazing. Melissa was my consultant and she was a godsend. My maid of honor was pregnant at my wedding and Melissa made sure that the dress still fit up to the day of the wedding. My dress was extremely hard to get on, and Michelle's actually let me keep my dress there until the wedding day, and then Melissa helped me get in on before the wedding! If you are a bride to be, you have to go check this place out!

Everyone at Michelle's was extremely helpful. My bridal gown and all three bridesmaids dresses were ordered through them. I had an opportunity to work with both seamstresses, and would recommend them both. They were very pleasant and knew what they were doing. We ended up paying more than we would have if we would have used David's Bridal, but the quality of product and service were worth it.

I was extremely satisfied with the quality of service I received from Michelle's Bridal. I was treated like a princess the second I walked through the door. The dress I ended up purchasing was the third one I tried on; the consultant listened to me and was able to give me exactly what I wanted. My dress was perfect and it was a great value. The alterations were great also. The tux department was also wonderful. They presented all of the options to me and my groom and we selected what we wanted. There was a slight snafu that worried me - two days before our wedding, my groom brought home his tux and I noticed that there was a long tie instead of a bow tie in the garment bag. I was frantic. I called Michelle's and told them the problem and they noted that it was a fabric choice mistake (the fabric I preferred only came in a long style, but my alternate fabric came in a bow tie). I told them that the style was more important to me than the fabric. Michelle's was able to get the correct bow ties the next morning. All was then perfect. I would highly recommend Michelle's Bridal to any bride.

I purchased 5 bridesmaid dresses and the mother-of-the-bride dress from Michelle's. The staff members were very accommodating, and a pleasure to work with. My dresses came in several weeks before they were scheduled to come in, and I was notified immediately. I was very pleased with the dresses and am happy that I found Michelle's. The ladies we worked with at Michelle's were nothing but professional and very easy to work with. The staff at Michelle's made my gown shopping experience both fun and easy! Everyone I worked with was extremely nice, courteous, and helpful. The dresses are high quality, yet not that expensive, They have a good selection and will let you try on as many as you like (other bridal salons were getting antsy when I wanted to try on more than 3, such as David's Bridal or Ducky's). They were extremely helpful with the bridesmaids' dresses and the tuxes for the groomsmen as well. They also have great shoes (Grace) and other accessories.

I would definitely recommend them to any future brides I know (and I already have :)).

Michelles Bridal Shop is one of the best full service bridal stores around. We purchased our flower girl, bridesmaids, groomsman, and of course the bride and grooms outfits here. They only do alterations though for the bride, if you have bridesmaid gowns they must get them altered another place which was the only downfall to the whole experience. OUr service there was spectacular and we loved the quality of dresses there.

Bought my dress at an Alfred Angelo trunk sale. Found a dress that I couldn't have bought otherwise which was perfect for my destination wedding. They answered every silly question I had honestly and quickly. Even when I called to ask where the place that the hook above my zipper was located at a week before my wedding. (It's a lace dress and a challenge to find the thread.) I also have purchased a bridesmaid dress there and was very happy with the quickness that the order was processed on their end. Loved that the store was almost a one stop shopping experience as a bride even though I only bought my dress there. Great staff!

My experience at Michelle's was wonderful! I walked in with my mom without planning on buying or even trying on. I was assisted by Alex, who listened to my wants and took my mother's opinions into account as well. She helped us find the perfect dress and was a pleasure to work with. She followed up by writing me a thank-you note, calling me to come in for a fitting when the dress arrived, helping me pick out jewelry, and finally by emailing before the wedding to wish me luck. I felt really special and important and believed that Alex was as in love with the dress as I was. I would definitely recommend Michelle's and Alex in particular!

We got my wedding gown, a mother of the bride, mother of the groom and 6 bridesmaid dresses. We had a great experience at every appointment! The dresses we got were all beautiful and came in a timely fashion as the girls said they would. My only complaint is that every single dress we received was too big. My mother in law's dress was so big a fantastic seamstress was unable to alter it to fit so she had to buy another dress. Every bridesmaid dress was too big and had to be altered to fit appropriately. My dress was also too big -and I did not go on any diet plan to "squeeze" into my dress. Unfortunately most of us questioned the size suggested by the associates at Michelle's but they assured us that dress sizes were different than normal clothing sizes. My suggestion is to have yourself measured by a seamstress and compared those measurements to the dress sizes before you order your dress.

Amazing Experience!

I was extremely nervous going into my first wedding dress shopping experience since I’m a plus size bride on a limited budget. I let them know that ahead of time, and when I arrived they had pulled several dresses under my budget for me. Dress #3 was THE DRESS, but I kept trying on dresses because I wanted to be sure. My consultant never made me feel uncomfortable or pressured me into buying a dress. I would recommend this place to any bride!

The ladies at Michelle's were amazing to work with! I went in looking for a certain style of dress and found something that was NOT what I expected to wear! I absolutely loved my dress, though I ended up totally blowing past my budget. The women were not at all high-pressure, and even though I found my dress in November, I didn't order it until January because I was losing weight. It took about 8 weeks for the dress to come in, but the ladies told me when I needed to order by to guarantee that it would arrive in time for alterations. I did choose to have a friend of the family do my alterations, but there was the option to have it completed in house. Definitely worth the drive from Bloomington!

We were very pleased by our choice to use Michelle's for all of our wedding attire including tuxedos, mother of the bride, bridesmaids, wedding gown, accessories and jewelry. Haley was a diamond bride and the staff at Michelle's made sure her every need was taken care of. Alterations were taken care of quickly and they were able to fit us in at several different times when we had people from out of town come for fittings. The gown is one of the most important parts of the day in making the bride feel special and beautiful. After going to a mega-bridal store and having to put the dresses on myself, Michelle's was such a nice change of pace! My personal bridal consultant helped me every step of the way - from the dress to the shoes. She even picked out my dress, before I even liked it!

I decided to check out Michelle's Bridal and Tuxedo after having bad experiences at other stores. I made an appointment and during the appointment I was able to go around and browse their selection of dresses. My consultant was extremely nice and helpful! I told her the type of dress I was looking for and she was able to pick out many that I was interested in trying on. I tried on a few in my price range, and then she bought a dress to me that I didn't realize how much it was out of my price range until I tried it on and fell in love. I really did not want to break my price range though. So I decided to come back in a week and try one more dresses. During my second visit, I tried on one of the dresses from the first visit and FELL IN LOVE! I was so happy that I decided to go home and think about the dresses before making a quick decision. Each time I went dress shopping by myself and was SO happy that I did. My consultant was very good at helping me pick out a dress and giving me honest opinions. Although I haven't had alterations done yet. I would recommend Michelle's to all central Illinois brides!

My experience with Michelle's Bridal was great from start to finish. My stylist was very attentive while searching for my dress and helped me to choose the perfect style. Once it arrived in the store, they contacted me right away and immediately set up an appointment for me to try it on. After 2 appointments with their in-house seamstress, Blanca, my dress fit perfectly. They even called the week of the wedding to wish me a happy wedding week.

I have mixed feelings about this vendor. They ordered a size for me based on my measurements. When the dress came in, my measurements were the same, but there was a 3 inch gap between the zipper. VERY STRESSFUL. They did work with me to solve the problem, but I still had to pay a lot of money for alterations, and I was stressed about the situation so much that my excitement for the wedding was diminished.

i loved my dress from Michelle's and very much liked the woman who helped me pick it out and try it on. They are a very busy store so you don't always get undivided attention but I didn't feel neglected.

The initial wedding dress appointment was great! I had a really responsive consultant, picked out the dress and even got a belt to go along with it. I made another appointment to look at bridesmaids dresses and not only were they running behind, no one really helped! I did find a dress that I liked however the service was so terrible that we went to the other bridal store (Elite Bridal) across town instead. I got my dress altered through one of Michelle's In-house seamstress and she had even forgot the appointment! Overall, I was happy with my dress and how everything turned out, it's just a shame to feel excluded after the initial wedding dress purchase has been made.

Hi, I had a horrible experience with this vendor. Initially they were very helpful until I went to pick up and pay for my dress. At this time, they told me they would not alter my dress (one week before my wedding when it arrived) because they did not have staff in house available to do it. This after I reserved their services over a year before my wedding! When I questioned the store about this lack of customer service, I received a rude response. The dresses are more expensive than other stores. Although, I must admit the dress I purchased from them (my wedding & bridesmaid dresses) were very nice. The service and professionalism before I paid the bill was incredible. They bent over backwards to get the right color fabric and accessories for the wedding. Most once of the bill was paid however, I was treated like a begger rather than a customer. We ended up not renting our tuxes at the location due to their poor treatment of this. Not only were they unable to alter my dress in store, they would not guarantee the alterations if the seamstress I brought it to messed it up ($700 dress) and I could not wear it like it was as I am very short! Beware of this vendor, you will receive terrific service up until right before the wedding when they have most of your money. Then you are pretty much ignored as they salivate over new customers coming in the door. Problem for them is this...I tell people about the poor customer service I received right before my wedding and I have chased more than one bride from EVER ENTERING their door. Perhaps they should think twice before their staff treats customers with such lack of respect.
