Great communicator and organized

Michelle did an amazing job as our photographer! She was great at communicating before the wedding. She was there early, made sure we were on schedule, and of course took amazing photos! She also helped us navigate well through a rainy day and making contingency plans. She also got us the photos within 2 weeks of the wedding! Highly recommend! Including a few of me for example.

Very Professional

I booked Michelle's services for an engagement shoot to get to know her and her style and ultimately booked her services for my wedding as well.
Michelle is very communicative and gave feedback on some of my ideas when appropriate. She has a lot of experience that she was able to use and help my husband and I know what to expect and flexible enough to work with changes we wanted to make.
Michelle is very thorough in explaining expectations and anything that would benefit us as the couple. She is very clear on her timeline of when you can expect your pictures back.

Michelle is incredible at what she does. She was on time and very organized. Her ideas were wonderful and she was excellent working with our large families at our wedding. Amazing experience!!

Having a wedding in 2020 has been an experience. I’m sure a lot of couples have gone through some obstacles while trying to celebrate their union in the middle of this pandemic. But hiring the right people can make a difference. Hiring Michelle as our photographer was one of the best decisions we could have ever made. After having to postponed the wedding once and ending up having it at the house, Michelle not only went through the whole process with us, but she was patient, flexible, and responsive. She provided suggestions, and was very organized with a timeline of all events throughout the day. She kept us on track and did an amazing job with the pictures and album. She also took our engagement pictures and they turned out great. She loved our dog and treated him like her own. She made us feel very comfortable and we really had a great time. Please keep her in mind when hiring your photographer. You want someone who is professional and can trust during the process.

Hands down! Best photographer ever!

I wish there were 100 stars or more to rate Michelle, although that still would not be enough. My husband and I thought Michelle was awesome before we even met her at the wedding, but when we met her all the things we thought about her were much greater than what we could have ever imagined. If you are looking for wedding photos with a little twist, Michelle is your photographer. She is so fun and very candid about what will work and what won't. She will put you FIRST, every single time. She wants to capture the true essence of who you and your husband are...we loved that! When we got our photos, we were floored. We could not believe that what she took is what we actually received. I could go on and on and on, there are not enough words. Michelle is awesome! We wish that we could do it all over again and have her take our pictures just to see what other brilliant ideas she would come up with. If you are looking for a photographer, hire her TODAY! Phenomenal Service

I'll start by saying that Michelle Gunton is by far one of the best in the business and that is no exaggeration. Not only does her work speak for her talents but she is all about business and she knows what she's doing. When my wife and I booked her to do our wedding we had no doubts that we were making the right choice after our first call with her. Through the entire process of planning she made sure that we were all on the same page and walked through everything that we needed to know in-order to be sure that were getting exactly what were paying for. Despite Michelle being a seasoned vet in the photography world with many accolades that showcase her talents she is also very flexible and willing to work with you on the vision you have for your event needs. My wife and I have just recently received the photos from our wedding just recently and to say they are are phenomenal would be an understatement. Truly the product of her work is utterly-incomprehensible and we could not have picked a better photographer all around. Having someone who not only knows their craft but also provides a high level of customer service, courteous and personable through it all, offers more than reasonable prices based on her level of service and goes above and beyond to ensure satisfaction is everything you could ask for in a business. Very Flexible

Where do I begin? We are so thankful we had Michelle as our photographer because our day was chaotic but Michelle has such a calming personality and was able to make suggestions and was willing to be flexible with our ever changing schedule because people were always running late. If it wasnt for her my wife may have gone bridezilla on people, lol. We got our photos back 3 weeks after the wedding and man we are in love with them. She really captured all the moments. We were on a tight budget so we went with her suggestion of going with 1 photographer and she was right she is so good at capturing moments and telling the whole story. We will definitely use her in the future. Hire her you wont be sorry!!

Great Experience

Michelle was probably the best thing I could have picked for my wedding. My wedding timeline was a little complicated and we needed a photographer for at least 10 hours (we had a very large wedding party and need to travel to multiple locations). She was able to work with us on that! I still can't believe she was willing to put in over 10 hours of work for our wedding! Michelle was able to get inventive and creative photos while still capturing traditional poses for our mothers/grandparents. We were a bit nervous because my husband and I lived in MI (our wedding was in NC) and we were not able to meet her to do engagement photos. However, Michelle called us multiple times and made sure she captured the styles we wanted for our wedding. My husband and I wanted candid shots and my mother wanted formal family shots. She was able to combine what everyone wanted! When I received the photos (which only took like 1 week!!!)....my husband and I were BLOWN AWAY at the quality and variety of the photos. Michelle's associate (I apologize of not being able to remember her name) was also very talented and got great photos of my husband and groomsmen! Michelle also gave us great DJ and hair/makeup artist references. We ended up hiring both of the people she recommended and they were amazing!! (FYI- Lenny Fritts was our DJ and Ginger Mullins was our hair/make up artist).

Bottom line: If you need a flexible, reliable, TALENTED and hard-working photographer for your wedding...Michelle is it!

We used Michelle for engagement pictures, bridal portraits and our wedding. She was amazing. In addition to the great pictures Michelle took, she was above and beyond the day of the wedding. She was able to coordinate people for family pictures, give my husband and I a break when we needed one and was very professional. I had multiple guests telling me how she was busy taking pictures the whole night. She also spent time setting up the light for a night shot in front of the house before asking my husband and I to join her. By the time we came out front, she was ready to go and we were not away from our guests for long. I recommend Michelle to anyone and appreciate and effort she put into our wedding

Michelle was amazing! She traveled to the Outer Banks to photograph my wedding. She kept talking about telling my story through photos and I was sightly confused, until I saw my photos. They were amazing! And I was so pleased with them! After getting them and looking at them over and over I completely understood what she meant about telling my story! I can go look through my pictures at any time and it is like looking at a video of the whole day! She would also let me know where she was going to be and what she needed us to do before taking the pictures, which was very helpful! She also asked me about my vision and the things I wanted. The one thing I would not compromise on was the photographer for our wedding. The day goes by so fast and pictures are all we have left! I wanted to make sure I found someone who was going to take the type of pictures that I could look at forever. As soon as I saw Michelle's work, I knew she was really good. She didn't have all the pose-y stiff pictures that everyone stands in a line and says cheese. Michelle had the action shots, getting everything in the moment and really capturing the emotion and feeling in that one picture.
I am absolutely IN LOVE with our wedding pictures! And we've had so many compliments, especially with the creative church picture she rocked. My husband and I cried and literally laughed out loud looking at our pictures. I can't wait to have a big canvas printed off!

While Michelle Gunton is not the cheapest photographer out there she is certainly one of the best and worth every penny. She managed to capture every moment of my daughter's wedding. I remember my husband saw one of Michelle's beautiful portrait pictures online and showed it to me and we just felt in love with her style of photography, then we called her right away the same day, and we had to look no further… We just clicked with her personality!
Michelle was absolutely awesome on the wedding day, and was a champ taking on the hot summer weather for our outdoor photos after the ceremony! We really loved working with Michelle, once we got all the pictures, (1400)!!!! Wow! We were amazed by her beautiful work, and how she capture every moment perfectly with her Journalism style of photography. She not only did portrait pictures of us, but the pictures she took of our guest, capture the moment, the smile, the dance, as if you can see it live! And some of them looked so beautiful like a portrait picture, that we had to print it and send some to our guest and family!
Lastly, I will say if you are looking for something more than just a "style type photos" for your wedding day, if what you are looking for is artistic photos, that can reflect the most important moments of your special day, as it happens, rather than pose pictures, look no further and hire Michelle!
Michelle is not only great at what she does, but she will make you feel so comfortable while doing it. We didn't felt we had to keep "posing" for pictures trough the night, we truly enjoy our wedding and felt like a guest at our own wedding, and part of reason is because Michelle and her team, had an easy attitude and did not ask us to pose, but rather capture the night as it went!
All the comments from family and friends have been "Your pictures look like taken out of a magazine" Wow! "She capture that moment" Wow "She made light when it was already dark outside" and I could keep going on and on...

We don't have enough good things to say about Michelle! Before I even start describing her photos, let me first say that she's incredibly easy to be around (which, if you didn't already know, is a REALLY important quality in your wedding photographer). My bridesmaids just loved her.

It almost goes without saying that her photos are simply beautiful. We're a little quirky and non-traditional, so it was very important to us to find a photographer who really cared about aesthetics, yet could still produce some traditional photos for the moms. Michelle accomplished this perfectly. (One of her photos of us even ended up on huffpost.com!).

Planning a wedding? Do yourself two favors: 1) Take a deep breath, and 2) Look into snagging Michelle before someone else does.

Michelle is an absolutely amazing photographer! I couldn't even think of hiring another photographer for my wedding after seeing her beautiful portfolio. Her pictures never look stiff, even the posed formal photos look more natural than any other photographer I looked at. Michelle did my bridal portraits and our wedding, and every single picture she sent us is great. I had the hardest time choosing what bridal portrait to print for our dining room, and just as hard a time trying to pick out what photos from the wedding to put in our album. Her pictures are definitely artistic, so if that's the kind of thing you're looking for (rather than the standard photography) then you couldn't find a better photographer! Michelle is really friendly, professional, and flexible! Her pictures are amazing, and her camera is great, even when you zoom in on the photos they still remain crystal clear which makes them great for printing on a large canvas if you like. We hired Michelle for 8 hours of coverage on our wedding day and we got 900 photos, her price might seem kind of expensive when you first look at it, but considering the quality of the pictures and how many we got she is worth every penny! Seriously hire her for your wedding day you won't regret it!

Our photography was important to me - so much so that I looked at hundreds of photographers before falling in love with Michelle. I wanted pictures that were classic but had an artistic, old world feel to compliment my wedding. Michelle completely understood what I was looking for and gave me a great balance of "grandmother approved" traditional pictures and then really special, interesting art-pieces to hang on my wall. Michelle gives great direction and is such a warm, engaging personality that she will make all of your guests comfortable. She will get all the shots you want without distracting from the wedding day action. And at the end of the night, you'll give her a big hug as if she was one of your bridesmaids! Where do I even begin? If you are looking for an incredibly talented and down-to-earth photographer for your wedding day, you HAVE to go with Michelle Gunton! I honestly cannot rave about her enough. Her work is absolutely brilliant and she has an effortless ability to adapt to your style and your vision, whether it be artsy, classic, elegant, etc. Michelle was such an easy person to work with from the start. We let her know our budget and, unlike most photographers we had previously encountered, she offered us an amazing custom package that was ACTUALLY within our budget (no hidden costs or surprises after we signed the contract). Part of the contract included an engagement photo session, which was very fun! My husband and I had never had professional photos taken, so we were a bit hesitant going into the shoot, but Michelle immediately put us (and our super hyper dog) at ease and took some of the most beautiful photos, including our save-the-date shot!

The photos Michelle took for our wedding were STUNNING! I'm not sure how she does it, but she alone managed to capture every single special moment of the night between not only my husband and me, but also among our family and friends. Her shots are so diverse, ranging in lighting and angle, and we are obsessed with every one of them! Every time we posed for pictures taken by family or friends, she was right behind them getting the shot too. Michelle did a wonderful job of photographing my daughters first look, wedding and reception. She captured the wedding in great detail. She was able to capture the wedding emotion. Stunning photographs!! We wanted pictures that we would be proud of for a lifetime and that's what we got! Michelle was very easy to work with and even customized a package for us. We didn't want an engagement or bridal session, but did want coverage for the full day so she hooked that right up. It poured on our wedding day!!

We did a first look and family photos before the ceremony at the Marriott City Center. There were three other wedding parties, and since it was raining it was pretty crowded in the lobby. Out of all the wedding parties, Michelle was the only photographer that found a way to take pictures outside under an overhang so we stayed dry!

The photographs were gorgeous and had a very glamorous feel to them. Michelle was very quick and professional, but most importantly she was able to capture the magic of our day. She also takes maternity and newborn photos and she would absolutely be my first choice to photograph those moments as well.

Michelle is absolutely amazing! We did a lot of research on photographers, met with many and ended up selecting Michelle and knew immediately we made the right decision. Her work really speaks for itself, she captures ALL the amazing emotions and moments, so you can relive all the wonderful memories. We were particularly impressed after looking through all the ceremony photos and were amazed at all the different vantage points she was able to get by herself. She was constantly on the move, but blending in very well, we didn't even notice her, snapping away to capture all the beautiful moments. She is very artistic and incorporates black and white which we absolutely loved. We can't say enough wonderful things about Michelle and her work and we highly recommend her to all brides! She is super sweet, friendly and has a way about her that makes everyone feel very relaxed and at ease which really shows in the photos! Michelle turned around the photos very quickly which was great since we couldn't wait to see them. Michelle's photographs told the story of my daughter's wedding. They weren't just pictures, and that was so important to us. She and Les did a great job of capturing the wedding and reception. Michelle also created beautiful bridal portraits of my daughter! I would recommend her to anyone!

I don't think that we could have found a better photographer anywhere. We met Michelle at a vendor show and knew she was "the one [photographer]" before we had even decided a venue. We did an engagement session in October before the ceremony in July, so we already a good rapport, but she's so easy to get along with, we'd have been fine no matter what.

Michelle is one of the most artistic and expressive photographers we came across and she was so easy to work with. We love the resulting pictures and, frankly, enjoyed having her around on the day of! Her work speaks for itself. Also, she was affordable and definitely worth it.

I hope we'll be able to work with her for future family shoots, too!

Michelle Gunton photographed our engagement in Nov 2011, and I knew even before seeing the pictures from that session that I wanted her to photograph our wedding as well. She truly wants you to look your best, and her work speaks for itself. Amazing, stunning, beautiful, breath taking, are all words that my friends and family said when they saw my engagement and wedding photos.

On the day of our destination wedding in Jamaica my mom and maid of honor were helping me into my dress, but the hook wouldn't latch. They were pulling and tugging to no success, but Michelle was able to fix it! Yes the photographer fixed the issue with my dress, and this is only one of the examples where she goes above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect! Michelle Gunton's photography can be summarized in one word: AMAZING! A couple years ago, she photographed one of my friend's weddings, and her work was beautiful and creative. Though I wasn't engaged at the time, I knew immediately that I would hire her one day for my wedding. After I got engaged, Michelle was one of the first people I called. (She knew of my engagement before some family and friends because my husband and I were so eager to hire her!) Luckily, we secured her a year-and-a-half in advance. Michelle did an amazing job capturing all the beautiful moments of our wedding day in Wilmington, NC. Though she had never been to the venue before, she quickly adapted and took hundreds of beautiful images throughout the location, capturing all of our special moments. Michelle Gunton is AWESOME! She photographed our engagement session last fall, my bridal session this spring and our wedding on June 30, 2012. Michelle takes hundreds of pictures and her photgraphic talent makes it almost impossible to pick only a few favorites. Michelle is eager to please and impressed me with her professionalism while making the engagement and bridal sessions super fun. We were married outside in 105 degree heat and Michelle STILL captured all of the little moments and ensured that the sweat and shine didn't ruin our pictures! Our huge (and wild) wedding party wasn't not easy to handle, but she was able to capture some really amazing shots without getting stressed! The heat was intense, but Michelle never complained and was able to quickly rearrange plans for pictures in order to keep everyone happy and (mostly) dry! Michelle's forte is capturing those special moments - the ones that you may not remember or even see as your wedding day flies by - and you will not be disappointed if you choose her as your photographer!!

From the moment my (now) husband and I walked through Michelle's studio door we knew she was the photographer for us. She's very down to earth and absolutely loves what she does and this oozes from every photo. I chose Michelle bc her creativity and photographic eye is unmatched and she definitely did not disappoint with our photos. We had such a great time shooting with her, and I am most appreciative for her guidance throughout the evening. Her comforting and calming nature combined with her professional tips really helped ease my nerves and I think contributed to some very special images. In fact, she was practically the only vendor I didn't have to worry about delivering what she promised nor did I have to tell her every single little thing I wanted. She took the reins and let me fill in any gaps. I say this bc even though I'm a very particular person and want things done my way, at the end of a long, stressful planning process the last thing you want to do is list out shots to your photographer or worry they're not going to get everything bc really? What are you paying them for if you have to tell them everything to do? But I never had to. She did a wonderful job capturing every moment--even ones I didn't know about! I know we're going to cherish our photos for the rest of our lives and I love that they're on a digital file so we can do whatever we want with them. As a non-photographic person, I actually want to show them off! I will definitely choose Michelle again for my next event and I am already recommending her to family and friends.

Ladies, if you have the opportunity to book Michelle for your wedding, DO IT NOW! To me, and probably to most of you, the pictures are one of the most important parts of your wedding. After the event flies by, they are all you have to remember one of the best days of your life. My wedding was in Miami and I was extremely nervous about trusting the photography of my day to just anyone. Michelle was recommended to me by a friend who used her services for a family portrait session, so I contacted Michelle and asked if she could travel to Miami for my wedding. (I hadn't read any of the reviews on this site; I just saw the amazing pictures she had done for my friend.) From the first conversation with Michelle, I felt completely confident that I had chosen the right photographer. I was a very apprehensive bride, so that's saying a lot! She knows exactly what she is doing with photographing weddings, responded quickly to my emails, listened to every detail about my wishes, was extremely professional, very reasonably priced, fun, light-hearted, and efficient, and on the evening of my wedding she helped with some behind-the-scenes coordination which took a lot of stress off of me since our reception was running way behind schedule. When I returned from our honeymoon, I was able to see all of the pictures from the wedding. There are no words to describe how beautiful everything turned out. She captured important moments and expressions that I can't even remember happening (which is why I knew the photography would be so critical). Every detail of our ceremony and reception was documented. The creativity, elegance, and beauty of the images themselves is breathtaking. Michelle was and is a fantastic choice in wedding photographers! I have no doubt that I got the photographer with the most talent, the most professionalism and the most versatility in the area. Michelle took our engagement photos, my bridal portraits and photographed our rehearsal dinner and wedding day. The photos turned out phenomenal. There honestly aren't enough words to describe how great and amazingly talented Michelle is. My husband and I live in NJ and wanted to have our wedding at Duke University Chapel in Durham. We researched a bunch of NC-native photographers online, but when we saw Michelle's work on her website, we knew she was right for us! She had previously done a period piece photoshoot for the 1920s era. The shots were incredible! The theme for our wedding was 'Old Hollywood' and '1940s glamour', so we weren't just looking for any photographer. We needed someone who could capture the 'feel' we were trying to achieve and 'got' our film noir concept... AND someone who was organized enough that she could conduct business with us predominantly over the phone and e-mail due to geographical distance.

We went down to NC in May for our engagement shoot, and Michelle knocked our socks off. Ginger Mullins, a colleague of Michelle's, did my hair and make-up and it was just perfect to go along with our theme. (She's also an amazingly talented professional.) We flew in from NJ earlier that day and had tons of vendors to meet with, so by the time it came for us to do the shoot, we were about 2 hours behind. Michelle was more than accomodating and even flagged our car down on the dark road using her cell phone as a light when it was too dark for us to find the venue for our shoot. She booked us the venue for the shoot (which was perfect!!), and even got us extended time there so we could really get the shots we desired.

That's the type of photographer Michelle is. She'll bend over backwards to give you exactly what your looking for. She's got an artistic eye and flare all her own, but the ability to really listen, understand and conceptualize what her clients want, and on top of that, deliver way beyond expectations.

When it came to the wedding day, Michelle was moving non-stop! She was all over getting the shots we wanted, and even when it came to less than pleasant relatives, she followed through with our photography wishes and handled herself with grace. She followed us from the Chapel, to the Gardens, to campus (and even risked getting her car towed to get us a shot in front of K-ville - obligatory for any Duke graduate), and then back to our reception hall. She's got unceasing energy, and she's FUN to boot!

She made us comfortable, laughed with us, and always kept the mood light. On top of everything, her pricing is beyond fair and worth every penny.

I'd strongly recommend her to anyone looking to capture their special day with a unique vision that sets it apart from the 'typical' wedding.

It was so nice working with Michelle on our wedding day, and for my bridal portraits. My biggest concern in choosing a photographer was that I wouldn't mesh well with one and you would be able to see it in my face. I didn't have to worry about that as Michelle is so easy to get along with and made me feel like I'd known her for years. We love our photographs, and so does everyone else! Both my husband and I were immediately drawn to Michelle's photos and warm personality. Picking her as our wedding day photographer was one of the best decisions we made for that day. Well I can't wait to book Michelle for maternity/newborn photos when that day happens, I was thrilled with my engagement, brial, wedding and trash the dress photos!!!! I booked Michelle without even meeting her, just over email. My parents happened to have her brochure from a bridal show, and I typed in her website and noticed she shot a high school friends wedding and Lindsay and Mike Morse's wedding, who I also booked. Michelle is simply wonderful. Before even contacting her, I felt as if I could understand what type of person she was through her photography samples online. Once we spoke, she was professional enough to ask me what type of photos I wanted taken for my wedding because her style may not match what I desired, she was willing to make sure I got the type of photos I wanted even if it meant she wasn't taking them. Luckily, she is exactly the type of artistic and creative person that I wanted for my photographer.
Michelle was fantastic before, during and after the wedding event! She is so friendly and willing to be patient (even with a somewhat stubborn flower girl). She is wonderful at working behind the scenes and you don't even know she is there...in fact I just got my photos back barely 6 days after the wedding, and I realized she took tons of pictures when we were not even aware of her being there!
Michelle is willing to do anything to help your wedding run smoothly. She is just that type of person to jump in and help do whatever to make the day beautiful. I am so glad that Michelle had the opening to do my wedding, and I will always continue to give rave reviews about her as a person and a photographer...she was just simply wonderful!

We had such a great experience with Michelle! I cannot speak highly enough of her work. We also received our wedding photos online within about 2 weeks of our wedding date - exceptional service.
When I had spoken to Michelle regarding what I wanted for my wedding day photos, I simply told her that I was a big fan of her work and I wanted her to "do her thing!" And the results are amazing. She captured the emotion of my day perfectly. A lot of the shots I do not even remember her being around for - which is a testament to how good she is at her job!
She is willing to do whatever she needs to in order to get that perfect shot. At our ceremony location, she was setting us up for some portrait photos on a park bench. Upon realizing that it was dirty, she proceeded to scoot around on the bench herself in order to get some of the pollen up! Like I said, she isn't afraid to put herself out there or get her hands dirty for a gorgeous photo.
Michelle was also very flexible with us. We are from out of town, and did not want a package that included a bridal portrait session or engagement session. No problem! Michelle customized a package for us that fit our needs perfectly. She was very easy to work with, and her talent speaks for itself.
We are very satisfied customers after using Michelle for our wedding day photography. HIGHLY Recommend. If you decided to use her as your wedding day photograher, you will not regret it!

Michelle was a wonderful photographer to work with. Her ability to capture all the major and minor details of our wedding was amazing. Michelle arrived at our venue at 3pm and worked nonstop until 10pm. She stood on chairs, kneeled on the ground, and did whatever else was required to get that "perfect shot." Michelle was able to combine an artsy style with traditional pictures as well and was able to comply to whatever requests we had for what type of pictures we wanted. The photo book that we received after the wedding was phenomenal and we have received raving reviews of how well done it was and the quality of the photos that were taken at the wedding. Michelle is a great photographer. I picked her because her work at the bridal show stood out to me. She is very easy to talk to and she understands what a bide wants. She is somewhat pricey but it is welll worth the cost. I have so many wonderful memories that I can cherish through my photos!

We were absolutely thrilled with the quality of work provided by Michelle Gunton for my daughter's wedding. We considered ourselves so lucky to "'stumble" across her at a wedding show after the original photographer that was hired had to cancel. Her creativity is exceptional and is so well demonstrated in her work. She was very flexible with our requests, very responsive to our questions, and since my daughter's wedding was her first to photograph at Duke Chapel, she attended the rehearsal to assess the location for proper lighting, etc. to plan for the wedding photos. She provided great quality at a reasonable price and I always felt completely comfortable to discuss any concerns. We actually feel like she is now a friend!!

I found Michelle about a year and some months before my wedding and fell in love with her work! She is so creative and her work is amazing...much different than the traditional wedding photographers. I actually moved my wedding date so I could book her and she was well worth it! Michelle captured every single moment of our wedding day and so much more, without even giving her a list to go by. She arrived to the site of the wedding ceremony and reception early just to check things out and make a few great suggestions, which we took! One thing that I loved about Michelle was that she was so much fun, but also very professional. You can definitely tell that photographer is her passion and that she loves every single second of it! Also, Michelle made us feel so comfortable and just as important as all of her clients! I will definitely be keeping her in mind when all of the other special occasion's come up in our lives!!!

Michelle Gunton is an outstanding photographer that creates professional photos while making the engagement year a complete joy for the bride and groom. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Michelle. She made sure to get all of the shots I wanted on our wedding day as well as many more that she knew I would love. We had a very large wedding with approximately 400 in attendance and Michelle and her assistant captured all of our precious moments. It's so important to have a photographer that will listen to you and actually carry out your wishes on your wedding day when you have so many other things to worry about. She did a fantastic job on our engagement session as well as with my bridal portraits. The wedding photos and album are outstanding and I could not have asked for anything more. Artistic,fun,laid back. Michelle is this and more. She went to the church early to take pictures and I found out later that she saw the runner for the isle was not put down so she did it herself. I just want to let some of the brides know that Michelle is the most brilliant photographer ever. I was married in March in Negril Jamaica, and to say the least I was not happy with my original Photographer the photos were bland and boring. I thought I was stuck with bad wedding photos until I met Michelle. Knowing what I know now I would have taken her to Jamaica with us!!!!! Michelle came from Raliegh NC to Myrtle Beach SC to take my photos. It was more like a day on the beach rather than a trash the dress session. Michelle included my step-daughter (which meant the world to my husband and I ) and we had a blast. All of us (including my friend who came along) had the time of our lives working with Michelle, she was super fun and very professional. Michelle did a variety shots both in and out of the water, she made sure to ask me if there was any shots I wanted ( seeing how I got a bad deal the first time). My pictures are AMAZING, BREATHTAKING, STUNNING I could go on and on. Michelle truly is worth her weight in gold. Again if I had it to do all over again I would have taken Michelle with us to Jamaica but getting her in MB was just as good. My family and I will be using her for all of our photos from now on.

Michelle was, and is, one of the most incredible professionals I've ever worked with. Her unique style and vision made our bridal and wedding photos exceptional. Every aspect along the way with Michelle, was perfect. She is professional and provides the best customer service. She's prompt and it's obvious in her work, that she truly cares about her clients and does her absolute best to make sure every detail comes out perfectly. My bridal portraits were beautiful - I trusted her to direct me through everything and told her to do whatever she needed to in order to get "the shots". I told her that I didn't want the "same old" wedding pictures that you see with every other photographer but that I also needed a few traditional ones for my parents and family. We got everything we wanted - and more! Michelle took the time to get to know me and my future husband to insure that our personalities showed through all on the pictures. We had so many wonderful shots that it was difficult to pick the ones for our wedding album. The moments that she captured were breathtaking! And then, the finished wedding album was stunning! We had people literally in tears looking through our album - we have never seen an album that was so creative and artistically laid out. Working with Michelle was a great experience. From the beginning, she took the time to really listen and understand what kind of pictures we were looking for, and what our families would want to see. We were wanting a mix of the artsy, creative pictures I liked and the traditional ones the parents would want as keepsakes. I could tell as we looked through the albums that she really remembered each couple, and how much effort would go into making the pictures look just right.

As the wedding approached, she was always available to answer questions or concerns. She is up-front and honest about what will and won't work, and doesn't just tell you what you want to hear. When a small problem with the chapel came up, she stayed positive, and was clear that we'd find a way to work around it.

Michelle keeps an eye out for what would make a unique shot. I got a preview of this during the bridal portrait session, trying different backdrops and poses. It held true for the wedding and reception as well. Some of our favorite shots were the result of her saying "Hey, let's try this..." or "I saw [X], and think we should take some pictures there." Our reception hall was decorated with a lot of mirrors, and Michelle took full advantage of this; we have so many pictures that captured just the right moment from multiple angles. Those are the ones that have had the most compliments from people who've seen the album.

The whole bridal party enjoyed working with her. The groomsmen especially enjoyed being able to cut up and have fun, and not having to be stiff and serious for every picture. I came back from the honeymoon to find my bridesmaids all wanting to know how this shot or that shot turned out, and eager to see the album. The pictures showed this; she did a great job of catching everyone's natural smiles and they look happy and relaxed. I was also thrilled to find pictures of all the little details I wouldn't have thought of; everything from the decorations to the buffet to the guestbook was captured.

Not only would I recommend Michelle to others, but I've actually had people ask me about her after working with her or seeing the album. That really says more than I can say in a review.

I got married in January 2009 and Michelle photograhed our engagement portrait session as well as our actual wedding. We scheduled the engagement session in the park, so most of the pictures were very natural and with colorful landscapes. Michelle's captured some AMAZING moments in that park, and the pictures were UNBELIEVABLE!! She really had an eye as to what shots would work, and how the landscapes would best compliment what she was trying to do.
Our wedding was a similar situation. Most of our pictures were EXTREMELY artistic, capturing the moments vs. capturing various poses. She used a mix of black and whites and color prints, which made our album look AMAZING! Michelle spent a total of about 9 hours at our wedding and she took over 1,100 picutres!!!!! Michelle truly has an eye for great photography and we were THRILLED with her work. I highy recommend Michelle for any of your photography needs.

Michelle was absolutely a dream come true. She and I hit it off immediately, I feel I found a friend and not just a photographer. She listened to all of my ideas and expectations and made suggestions according to my likes. I prefer the more artistic style of photography and not the "everyone stand in a line" kind of pictures. She was perfect at catching every shot, and half the time I didn't even know she was there. After our wedding, Michelle and I decided to do the "trash the Dress" session. It was a blast!!! Climbing trees and wading into the Neuse river in my wedding dress was so much fun. These pictures ranged from beautiful to silly to very sexy. And beleive it or not, I left the wet dress in my laundry room for a week before I finally took it to the cleaners and when it came back it looked brand new. A wedding is a memory that will last forever in your mind, a photographer like Michelle brings these memories out through pictures that you can share with friends and family forever. Michelle was amazing to work with. We booked our wedding with her at our first meeting. She was extremely cooperative and flexible with our vision for our wedding, but also gave us suggestions and advice that made our engagement, family and wedding photographs not only unique but a true reflection of our personalities.

Always responsive to any questions we may have had, Michelle was always on time, prepared, professional and met every deadline she promised. We spoke with several wedding photographers prior to meeting with Michelle and were simply blown away with the quality for the value of the package (and additional session) that we booked. We have already recommended her twice since our wedding 8 weeks ago.

Michelle was a joy to work with, she was fun, respectful with the family photographs and captured some incredible candid photographs that are very special to the family. During the wedding, you really never knew that she was around, but in looking at the proofs, she was everywhere !

If you especially enjoy black and white, or creative perspectives---Michelle is a must see before you sign a photograher. The traditional stuff is there, but her gentle sense of style definitely adds to the uniqueness of our photographs.

Michelle is extremely tech - savvy as well as innovative. She was responsive to communications, brought unique ideas to our studio session, and spent additional time visiting the wedding and reception venues in advance to take light settings and review the list of desired photographs since we had some tricky family dynamics. She and the assistant who worked with her were flexible and worked with fluidity so that their presence did not detract from the occasion. I would definitely recommend her!

Michelle has a great eye for photography, which is what caught our eye in the first place. She is professional, approchable, and is great at capturing both posed and natural photos. We did an engagement shoot months before the wedding and it was great to work with her and know what to expect for the wedding day. She provided a great timeline to make sure she captured everything on the wedding day. She kept us relaxed and laughing. Using her photojournalist approach, she was able to capture so many great photos and I wasn't even aware of her being there most of the time. Wonderful Photos

Michelle took the most wonderful pictures! She got our pictures back quickly after our wedding and the quality of her photos are amazing. She truly captures the moments and will do just about anything to get the shot. The only reason I am giving 4 out 5 stars is because our wedding day was a little hectic and it kept changing from the original timeline. During the sudden changes, she was not entirely flexible. Which is not a bad thing, she kept us on track as much as possible even with all the last minute changes, but she was tense. She also made a video of our wedding and it was awesome! The music and editing of the video was smooth and beautiful. I highly recommend Michelle, just make sure your wedding day timeline is set in stone and does not change. Make sure all parties during the wedding day understands the timeline. That way she can do her awesome job.
