Beautiful photos!

Michael is amazing! He was our first vendor hire and he delivered at every step of the way; Michael had shot three family weddings, so we were familiar with his work and everyone had sung his praises. However, I was completely blown away by the incredibly high quality of his work and his professionalism when I had the opportunity to work with him directly. His demeanor is calm and composed even when there is chaos surrounding him. His energy helped to make the frantic hours leading up to our wedding calm and enjoyable. Michael managed to get incredibly beautiful and personal shots without getting in the way or drawing attention to himself. Most importantly, he was incredibly receptive to our personal styles, taking care to get photos of some of the less traditional moments throughout the day (spontaneous arm wrestling at the reception, photos with a giant inflatable unicorn at sunset). He captures the important moments beautifully and is delightful to work with. You will not regret hiring him!

My husband and I loved working with Michael for our July wedding, for many reasons. Leading up to the wedding Michael is a great communicator - quick to respond to emails, happy to meet in person to go over any and all questions/concerns, and he asks the right questions ahead of time so that the big day runs as smooth as possible. His demeanor is calm and positive - who wouldn't want to be surrounded by that on their wedding day?! I think he is genuinely excited for every wedding he photographs, and this shows in the quality of the images. We received our photos only 2 weeks after the wedding (this being in the height of wedding season too!) and not only are there so many images, but so many stunning images! Michael has a great artistic eye, great attention to detail and honestly is so easy-going and nice that we just loved working with him. Also of note is that he is one of those invisible photographers - you get all the great shots of your big day without someone being pushy or in your face. Highly recommend!

Choosing a wedding photographer can be stressful because this is the person charged with capturing one of your most important life moments. Working with Michael Brook was a breeze! From the moment we sat down and talked to him, we immediately felt like old friends. He can make anyone feel comfortable in front of a camera and he has a knack for capturing the sweetest, candid moments. Michael also made sure to learn who the most important people in our wedding were so that he could get as many pictures of them as possible. On the day of the wedding, he was punctual, energetic, and professional. He brought an assistant that was just as wonderful and together they captured beautiful photographs that we will forever cherish.

I would recommend Michael to anyone looking for a stress-free wedding with gorgeous photographs!

Michael is an absolutely amazing photographer and an incredibly kind person. My husband and I loved working with Michael! Michael was prompt with responses right from the beginning and so easy to work with. The day of, Michael did a fantastic job capturing both candid and posed photos that still make me smile whenever I look at them. I could not recommend Michael as a wedding photographer enough!!

Michael Brook was wonderful. A great person to start, he was incredibly receptive to all of our ideas. We had a more casual timed event and Michael and his second photographer really captured that vibe. Some of his still shots still have our family talking and his timeliness, professionalism, and artistry really shined on our wedding day. Totally recommended for a wedding, for family events and more. We are considering him and recommending him for some of our family events upcoming.

Michael was a true professional, from the first visit to the big day. He and his assistant made us feel important, and made sure to capture all the important shots as they happened. When we were able to look back over the gallery just a few days after the wedding, we were truly amazed at the amount of beautiful shots that he was able to capture without feeling like he was even there. He was very accommodating to not only us, but our guests wishes as well. I would definitely suggest Michael for any of your photography needs

Michael was a dream to work with! He was professional at all times and very flexible with a hectic wedding day. He collaborated seamlessly with a quirky videographer we also hired. He was on time and got beautiful shots. His second photographer did a great job as well and as a team photographed the ceremony from different angles. We had the pictures in week!

Before working with Michael, I found myself somewhat skeptical of his 85+ perfect reviews. Could that be real?!? Now that he's shot my wedding, there is no doubt that he deserves that perfect rating and more. Michael was incredible to work with from day 1. He communicated promptly and easily and asked all the right questions about our vision for the day. He expressed genuine excitement and had immediate ideas about how he could fit in and enhance the experience. Leading up to the wedding, I never once felt like I had to worry about whether I was a priority to him and whether he would come through (and that most definitely is NOT a given. I should mention that he made me feel this taken care of even though I did NOT book him for an entire day and had a smaller wedding that only required a few hours.)

The day of, he was so easy-going and professional. He somehow made everyone feel at ease, remembering family members' names and juggling all personalities and quirks. I felt incredibly hectic and stressed the entire day and somehow Michael made that melt away as soon as he showed up. He was prompt, organized, thoughtful, quick on his feet, and also kind and funny to be around. If that all wasn't enough, he also captured gorgeous photographs (way cooler than I could have imagined, honestly) and had them back to me quickly. I really can't say enough about this experience. He blew us away. He was the shining light of my wedding and by far the best "vendor" decision I made that day.

I just had my wedding in Boston a couple of weeks ago and Michael was our photographer. I don't have enough good things to say about him! Michael is very professional and makes you feel so relaxed and clam around him - which is huge considering the stress surrounding a wedding and the variety of personalities a family can have. He was very flexible and accommodating in what photos we did and didn't want to do and our timings. He's not pushy like some photographers can be and to be honest I didn't even know he was there for the entire ceremony or reception - so he wasn't shoving the camera in your face and he was respecting peoples’ space.

Michael took some fantastic photos that were so natural (vs. staged) and are photos that really capture the day and how much fun and love was in the room. I personally don't like photos that are forced and he didn't do that at all. The pictures are of great quality and he took a lot, both in black and white and in color. The pricing was extremely reasonable compared to the other quotes I received and quite frankly his work is much better! If you need a photographer - definitely give him a call! I would use Michael again in a heartbeat!

Michael was so great and we could not be happier with our choice of photographer! I met with him a year in advance and he was always available and responsive to answer all of my million questions. He initially stood out because of his excellent candid photos, they are amazing and he did not disappoint! His portraits are also outstanding and he gave valuable instructions in an encouraging way for the intimate photos and large group shots. Always attentive to our needs and wishes for the day, he talked with me on the phone about 6 months before the event to get a better idea of what was important to capture on the day. A month before, he sent me a file to fill out of who was important to know (he memorized all the names of people in the wedding party) and what photos were essential to get. All day he was behind the scenes taking pictures and we were thrilled with the final collection of photos. He dresses to fit into your setting, my wedding was formal and he wore a nice black suit. He was very enthusiastic about the pictures, gave great instruction for the portraits when needed, and added a positive presence to the day that was appreciated by everyone. Of all the vendors involved in the wedding, Michael stood out as the highlight
and I’m so glad he was part of the day. The pictures and memories he captured were priceless and I would highly recommend Michael for any event!

We had the most fantastic experience with Michael. His professionalism and attention to detail are much to be praised. He left such a great impression on our guests. They absolutely loved him! He was patient and understanding during the most stressful moments, and he was so great at making sure everyone was positioned just right for each photograph. We really liked working with Michael! He is a soft spoken man who has a keen artistic eye. Initially, we chose him because his photos looked natural and vibrant, but after meeting in person we really liked his calm demeanor. With the amount of stress that can be experienced in wedding planning, he was like a breath of fresh air. We were not used to being in front of the camera to that extent, but he always made us feel relaxed. We found it particularly helpful when he guided us along with the wedding party to be positioned in the best light and flattering angles. He also gave a very quick turn-around with our wedding photos. If you haven't been a part of a professional shoot before, Michael is a wonderful choice.

Michael Brook is an excellent photographer and an excellent communicator. The latter quality was very important to me and my husband because we were planning the wedding remotely and wanted to minimize the stress. Michael was very responsive via email and also provided the photos about 12 days after the wedding (while we were still on our honeymoon even). On the day of, we found him to be very friendly and easy to work with. The photos themselves are beautiful and fun, and we're sill enjoying looking at them weeks later (and hopefully for years to come!). My husband and I both happily recommend him to anyone getting married in the area.

We are so glad that we chose Michael to capture our wedding day. He made the shortlist based on the numerous awards and glowing reviews he has earned, and his photojournalistic style appealed to us because we aren't into cheesy poses. When we actually met him for the first time, I was instantly at ease with his warm personality, gentle humor, and obvious wealth of experience. He never pressured us to spend more than we were comfortable doing. We did an engagement shoot which was actually a lot of fun and was good practice for being ourselves in front of a camera. On the big day he bravely came to the hotel at 4:30AM (we had constraints on the timing of our ceremony for religious reasons) and even offered to bring coffee for us! Throughout the day he remained discreet, and I often forgot I was being photographed which was a good thing. He had the online images ready within a couple of days and was very responsive about retouching images and was flexible about the album design. I highly recommend him - my sister is getting married next year and I've already told her she shouldn't bother interviewing any other photographers!

Michael really captured our wedding perfectly! He was very professional, flexible, and listened to our wants and needs. We expressed a desire to capture candid moments just as much as having the traditional, more formal photos, and he captured the perfect mix of both! Michael helped us both feel comfortable in front of the camera and was never "in the way," he was able to take so many photos without our bridal party and guests even noticing. Our album came out absolutely stunning to the point that our family and friends have told us our wedding photos are some of the best they'd ever seen! We couldn't recommend Michael more!!

Michael is an extremely talented photographer with the most calm, relaxed, and professional demeanor. He photographed my friend's wedding (in which I was a bridesmaid), and I knew that I would hire him for my own wedding because he did such a fantastic job. He was the very first vendor I booked for my wedding, and I could not wait to book him!

He takes beautiful, creative photos and seems to be everywhere, capturing all of the important and fantastically candid moments. He is also incredibly discreet - at my friend's wedding and at my own, his shooting was so unobtrusive and yet he managed to capture everything!

Michael is just a complete joy to work with, from start to finish. He is professional, extremely responsive, and seems to really enjoy his work. I cannot say enough about his wonderful demeanor - he puts people completely at ease! - and he really captures the details of the event, including the venue decor and flowers. Michael was great to work with! He has a very calming presence so it was great working with him, especially on our wedding day. We have gotten so many comments on the quality of our photos as well as Michael's professionalism. At the last minute, we asked him to stay an extra hour and he was very accommodating. We recently got our album, as well as two replicas for our parents and the layouts were beautiful. I called the photography studio at the last minute to schedule an intimate private wedding due to family health issues. Michael was very attentive and prompt. He delivered all that he promised and more. I was so excited that I ended up with 200+ photos!!! When I saw them back I was surprised at how much he was able to capture. When planning our wedding, photography was one of the most important pieces to the puzzle. I was lucky enough to witness first hand Michael's amazing photography skills at my sister's wedding. It was the easiest and best decision we made choosing Michael to capture our wedding. He is professional, flexible, and a true artist. One of my favorite pictures is of my grandmother and I. He was able to capture a moment at the reception when we were talking but we did not know he was taking a picture. It came out beautiful. She hated her picture being taken, but once she saw this one, she showed everyone that was willing to look.
Most importantly, it was a pleasure to work with Michael. He is talented, pleasant, helpful, and extremely attentive to detail throughout the entire process of planning and it continues past the wedding. Our album is beautiful and I cannot wait to have him photograph another event for my family!

Everybody who start planning for a wedding knows all the stress that comes along with the preparation.

Having contractors like Michael really made a difference as every body felt at ease with him, lowering the level of stress !

Very reliable, Michael is fun to work with and build very quickly a relation of trust (we organized our party mostly remotely).

Michael is a spectacular photographer who managed to capture the spirit of our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception dinner. Seemingly without effort Michael was able to capture every grouping that we wanted without being at all obtrusive. The smiles and energy of ourselves and our guests beam from every shot. We had a heck of a hard time narrowing down the selections for our album and instead chose to add pages because we want to be able to grab our album and recapture the joy of that day in each splendid image.
As importantly Michael was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with.

He was great with timely contact and amazing to deal with in person. Great pictures, great attitude, great service. He managed to remember everyone's name in the bridal party as well as the parents. We received our pictures within a week of returning from the wedding. Would definitely recommend!

Michael did an absolutely fantastic job at our wedding. He was professional from the very first time that we spoke with him. He first took engagement pictures for us which turned out beautifully. At the wedding, he was prompt, professional and incredibly easy to work with and did such an amazing job of capturing the day. Would definitely recommend him to anyone!

Michael's photos were exceptional; he captured everything we had asked for plus much more. He did an excellent job of corralling rogue family members for the portrait shots before the wedding. He is also immensely patient and easy-going--a pleasure to work with. Michael was not at all obtrusive during the ceremony, which we greatly appreciated.

We love Michael. He had great communication throughout the entire wedding process and fulfilled all of our requests. On the day of the wedding, he showed up on time and was everywhere he needed to be. His presence kept us calm throughout the day and he somehow managed to capture every important moment. He also got us our wedding photos very quickly – and we were thrilled with each and every one. Our parents, bridal party and guests are still talking about how wonderful he was and how much they liked him! My husband Stephen and I got married 2 weeks ago. We feel SO pleased we chose Michael and are SO satisfied with his work.

I contacted Michael after seeing he had been named "Best of Weddings" on the Knot for 5 years in a row, reading many positive reviews, and seeing his portfolio online.

Meeting Michael in person was really a joy for us. Michael exudes kindness! We had many questions for him and he gave us respectful and informative answers. In our subsequent correspondence, Michael continued to impress us b/c he was accessible, receptive to our requests, and organized.

On the wedding day, I felt comfortable the moment Michael arrived and trusted him to do a good job. Throughout the day, he gave helpful instructions for various shots and worked efficiently. At one point, Stephen and I asked Michael to photograph our personalized menu, only to learn he had already captured that detail and more. At the end of the day, we asked Michael to stay another hour, which he graciously accepted.

Family members commented, "Michael's very good. You didn't really notice him until he wanted to make himself noticed." Michael handled well group shots of different sides of our family (dozens of people from each side, let me tell you), everyone looking everywhere, young children, and other iPhone-equipped family competing with Michael for shots.

On our honeymoon, Stephen and I with pleasant surprise received a link to the viewing gallery of our photos. Soon thereafter, Michael linked us the final gallery. When asked for CD's of the photos, the very next day Michael met with Stephen to give them. We were so pleased with his promptness. We LOVE our wedding photos. I can hardly believe they're pictures of us! Bright, well-framed, beautiful, and opportune captures. We highly recommend Michael!

Michael Brook was SPECTACULAR to work with for our wedding, I cannot recommend him highly enough!

I contacted him on pretty short notice for a wedding (5 months out) with a smaller than usual, somewhat out-of-the-box backyard event, and he was totally flexible in providing what we needed. He checked in regularly with me during the planning process, and he was always upbeat and excited about the big day, which made me more excited! As the day approached, Michael set up a call to get a feel for the specific shots we wanted to capture as well as the feeling that we wanted from our photos.

He NAILED it - as I look at these pictures, I am transported back to the day and everything wonderful I felt then. We shot in a bunch of different locations with different lighting and other logistical challenges, and Michael handled them all like a pro, while helping us feel relaxed. The images are simply. gorgeous.

On the day, Michael was punctual and got to work with minimal direction, a testament to his experience and the preparation he had done ahead of time. As a business owner, Michael was very straightforward - we knew exactly what to expect ahead of time. He was extremely accommodating in giving us control over our images. He was absolutely professional throughout our experience, and made things easier for us at every turn.

As I looked around during our toasts toward the end of the evening and saw Michael - shooting while mixing with our friends and family and having a great time himself - I knew we had worked with the perfect photographer.

I had a wedding of about 175 people and Michael captured every moment and every detail with well over 2,000 pictures. My wedding day was the best day of my life, but it also flew by. The pictures I have now will last forever. He took great shots of me, my wedding party, family, friends, and great shots of couples. He also got a lot of the details that I missed being the bride such as cocktail hour and the beautiful harpist playing. I would highly recommend Michael for any wedding small or large.

We didn’t want our wedding and reception to be about taking pictures—we'd rather miss Aunt Sally in a group photo than completely miss our cocktail hour—but rather we were relying on Michael to document the event as we participated fully and enjoyed our special day.

Michael understood completely: He identified opportunities for great shots along the way, and for group shots, worked quickly and efficiently to get what we wanted without taking more pictures than necessary, so things kept moving.

Michael captured all the critical moments before, during and after the ceremony and at the reception, as well as dozens of portrait-quality images of guests—both candids and quick poses—and details from throughout the afternoon and evening.

Perhaps my favorites were from the dancing, where Michael's documentary-style action shots captured the exuberance and joy of the guests as they careened around the floor, or, in quieter moments, danced cheek-to-cheek under the shifting colored lights.

Michael was put on the spot when, unexpectedly, a fireworks show erupted over the harbor in the middle of our reception, and we now have a series of incredible, amazing, picture-perfect fairy-tale-wedding images of us smiling, kissing, twirling, and being in love while fireworks explode above our heads.

Afterwards, Michael gave us access to an on-line gallery viewable in one mega slide show, or within more manageable categories ("Pre-Ceremony"; "Ceremony": "Details"; etc.), and provided all the original files--- gigabytes worth---for downloading via DropBox.

I could not have been happier with our choice for our special day, and I could not have been more impressed with the job Michael did. We felt as if we were in the hands of a real pro the entire time.

I couldn't be any happier with the wedding photography experience I received working with Michael Brook! Michael took the time to meet with my husband and I more than once to plan out the day's events so that our day ran smoothly and without any interruptions. He had already memorized everyone's name in the wedding party before arriving to work with us. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Michael as our photographer.

Not only is he a VERY talented photographer who took 100's of beautiful portraits and candid photos throughout our wedding day, but he is an absolute pleasure to work with! Michael always responded in real-time to my emails and gave detailed answers to my question prior to the wedding. We also chose to do an engagement shoot with him and had an absolute blast doing so!

He arrived early the day of the wedding (which makes every bride relaxed), and during our photo sessions he always remained calm, focused, and organized. He brought the list of pictures I had previously told him I would like to take and was flexible enough to take spontaneous photos as I came up with them throughout the day.

While on our honeymoon I got an email from him saying my gallery was ready for viewing online and I had digital copies of all our pictures within a month after our wedding.

I 100% recommend Michael to all brides and would definitely use him again for other milestones in mine and my husbands lives.

Michael did a wonderful job. Prior to the weddding he was organized and reposonsive to all of my emails and phone calls. He adjusted well to last minute requests that I had. I had so much trust in Michael going into the wedding that I was able to remain stress-free all day long. He kept us on schedule throughout the day so that I did not have to worry to look at the clock. The pictures turned out wonderfully. He captured all of the shots I was hoping to have of the wedding, plus many more that have turned out to be my favorites. And he was very promt in editing the photos and uploading them to the website. Highly recommended!

Michael Brook was a fabulous photographer at our wedding in Somerville, MA in May 2012. We chose him because we loved his candids and he did not disappoint. He also did a great job with the portraits. He was with us for 6 hours and he was nothing but professional the whole time and always had a smile on his face. He had great ideas that made for great portraits and he was extremely flexible. He even gave some of the parents a ride to the reception. Everyone has commented that our pictures are fabulous and for the cost, we think we got a great value. He was easy to work with and plan for the event as well. He seemed to disappear in to the background and still got amazing pictures. We asked him to edit a few pictures where a strap from my dress was showing that should not have been and he made the edit quickly and very well. We can't say enough good things about Michael. He had our pictures to us very quickly (I can't remember, but I think it was between 1 and 2 weeks) and he even hand delivered the DVD of full resolution pics to us. We highly recommend Michael Brook as a photographer for your event!

Michael was such a pleasure to work with. From our first meeting, I immediately felt comfortable with his calm professionalism - we really appreciated that he was able to offer very helpful guidance without being at all pushy. He really listened to our needs and our desires for the day.

And the photos were beautiful! My husband hates having his photo taken and generally appears stilted in photos, but Michael managed to capture many lovely moments for us. We also appreciated Michael's willingness to go with the flow, changing schedules for before the ceremony photos at a moment's notice.

Michael Brook photographed our wedding and we, in addition to our families, were more than pleased with his work. Michael was kind, courteous and responsive. At the wedding, his presence was so understated (you would not have even known that there was a photographer there) but he was able to capture beautiful and intimate pictures with a unique and magical perspective. I loved Michael Brook. We chose him because he was actually there when my husband proposed -- just a coincidence. He was photographing another couple in the Public Garden, saw my husband drop to his knee, and rushed over to take a few pictures. We then exchanged email addresses and he sent them to us. He was so excited for us and kind (and professional), so we decided it was fate and used him for the wedding.

I like him because he is laid-back and really sweet. The weather on our wedding day was so bad and all of our plans to take pictures outside around the beach were pretty much ruined. But, he was so relaxed and had a plan B and really put us at ease. He could have panicked, but he was completely calm. And, of course, the photos are wonderful and full of personality, which was exactly what we wanted.

I can't say enough about Michael!!! First and foremost, he was professional and available- not only BEFORE the wedding with our thousands of questions, but after as well. That's super important. He didn't push anything on us as far as buying prints from him, and has been so helpful about any questions we have had, even though our wedding is long over with! His communication is TOP NOTCH!
Now, onto the photos. The pictures themselves are breathtaking. Just look at his website. He captures moments, not just images. Things that would have otherwise been missed. You can see emotionality in just about everything he does. They are artistic, creative and charged. His turn around time was RIDICULOUS- we actually got access to our photos on our honeymoon. Please- just before you book someone, look at his site- give him a call- you won't want to go anywhere else!!!

I HIGHLY recommend Michael - I felt very lucky to have discovered him during my on-line research while wedding planning last year. He is worthy of five stars all around -- personality (incredibly kind and easy-going, with great sense of humor), skills/talent and creativity (we just love our engagement and wedding photos -- taken at Arnold Arboretum, St. Ignatius of Loyola, and Veronique), and communication/reliability (*always* prompt with email responses and timely for meetings/events). Everyone in my family fell in love with him when they met him. He is so warm and excited to do what he does. I wanted genuine pictures (not overly edited) that caught the emotion of the day and Michael did that beautifully. He captures all the little moments that make your day so special. Sometimes men do not like having their pictures taken, or being told how to pose, but Michael was great at making them all feel comfortable, and getting them to pose without making them think they were being ordered. Everyone felt so comfortable working with him. He is very open to suggestions, and truly wants to make the client happy and fulfill their requests/suggestions. He is so great to work with, and we plan on working with him again for future events.

We recently got married and had him do the photography for our wedding. We could not be happier! Though Michael might say otherwise, we wanted someone to come and take great snaps, but really be in the background and not to attempt to stage too much in terms of photos. We wanted to have him capture moments as they happened during the day, with the exception of some set photos after our church ceremony. He is very easy to work with, as we barely knew he was at the wedding. Pictures and the album came out great, I had lots of comments from the bridesmaid how easy and non-intrusive he was. Most defintely recommend Michael.

My wife and I hired Michael for our wedding on 5/29/11 in Haverhill, MA with the reception at the Granite Rose in Hampstead, NH. We were totally pleased with all Michael offered. We met with him at first to go over album samples and he provided previous works that were all amazing. Michael was all about making the wedding day our day, we had a list of specific shots we wanted, he was able to capture all of those and then some. He took pictures that we had not thought of, like the limo, food and outside the church. His positive attitude through out the day was amazing, as everyone knows wedding days can be really stressful, but Michael was 100% positive. Throughout the whole ceremony and reception it was like he was not there, which is the best. He got all the wonderful shots but was not in the way at all. Some previous weddings we went to you had to look around the photographer to look at the couple at the alter, not with Michael. If he thought of a good suggestion he was very polite about bringing it up. All of his suggestions worked really well too. We looked at the online album after we got home from our honeymoon and were blown away. All the photos were amazing and crystal clear. His website is very user-friendly. The only problem we have is narrowing down the many great photos to fit in the album. We look forward to finalizing our album with Michael, and he has not at all been pushy in this process, he is letting us go at our own pace which is very appreciated. I would highly recommend Michael Brook for any wedding or event.

I don't think my husband and I could have chosen a better wedding photographer. Michael is special because as many weddings as he must do, he treated us ours with untoppable kindness
and professionalism before during and after the wedding, spending as much time as needed in person and over the phone, to address our needs. During the wedding, the only thing you noticed about him was his positive energy! We are so grateful for our spectacular wedding photos, any couple that chooses him is in really good hands.

My husband and I are so thrilled with Michael! Not only is he a fabulous photographer, but he truly a wonderful person. He shot both our engagement session and our wedding. His talent is clear when you look at his portfolio. He has a photojournalistic style with an artistic flair. He carefully edits all of the shots and adds amazing retouches (color correcting, fishbowl-style effects, etc.). What we really liked best about Michael was his ability to capture the moment without being intrusive. I barely noticed him at the wedding!

He always responded quickly to my emails and calls. He also asked lots of questions about what was important to us, what shots we wanted, and customized a package for us. We did not choose one with an album, but we may end up going back to him to do one after all! I found his price range to be very reasonable compared to others at his level of talent. I would highly recommend Michael!

Best decision we made!!
After leaving the meeting with Michael we almost turned around to try to catch him and write him a check. We were hooked! He was so easy to talk to and took such interest in the plans and our families and even what we liked to do for fun. After seeing the photos we realized he used that information to know exactly what we would want to see. He is amazingly talented and artistic and we could not be happier with the photos! The day of the wedding could not have been better. We had so much fun with Michael. He was so enthusiastic and made everything so easy. If we were going to do it all over again we would absolutely call Michael.

We are frequently told that our wedding pictures look like something out of Conde Nast! Michael captured the setting, mood, and personality of our wedding, our guests, and us in such a warm, intimate way. I got married later in life to the man of my dreams, so the day for us was about love, luck, and having fun. It's hard to explain - his style is modern and journalistic, so he captures the best moments as they happen with an incredible eye for detail. I think someone else mentioned that he captures the little things so well, and it's true - like my ring bearers waiting thoughtfully to be announced; my husband's face as I walked down the aisle; the sheer jubilation on both of our faces as we danced and partied with all of our favorite people...when I look at my wedding album I am amazed at how he was able to be at the right place at the right time to get some of the shots he did. We LOVED working with Michael - he's accommodating, inventive, unintrusive, warm, and most of all, his finished product speaks for itself. If you want wedding pictures that immediately transport you back to your special day, and you want pictures that are fresh as well as lovely, choose Michael!

Michael Brooks is a great wedding photographer! He asked a lot of questions upfront to get a feel for our wedding style and personalities. He used this information to create a beautifully artistic photography package that catered to our tastes. He is easygoing, friendly, sensitive, and professional and a joy to work with, as well as a fantastic wedding guest.

We found Michael Brook Photography while searching online and decided to contact him based on his amazing portfolio... It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process. From our initial meeting up until the day he delivered our album, Michael was an absolute pleasure to work with!

Before the big day he made a true effort to get to know us and our families and understand what we envisioned for our photography. He was even kind enough to meet with my father, a photographer himself, to ease any questions or concerns that he had! Michael listened intently and took notes during each meeting, which made a huge difference in the service he was able to deliver on our wedding day.

For a "Type-A" bride such as myself, I loved that Michael was so detailed, organized and highly responsive. Not once did I ever have to worry about him returning a call or email to answer my questions. Michael was more than willing to customize his packages to best suit our liking and budget. He stayed open to our ideas while maintaining his own creativity. We received countless compliments from our guests on how well Michael interacted with everyone. Looking back on all of our pictures, Michael was able to capture so many moments throughout the day without being invasive.

Michael met every deadline agreed to either on time or ahead of schedule. We were extremely pleased to peek at our email during the honeymoon to find highlight photos from the wedding within days!

Michael Brook did such a wonderful job on our wedding day and we loved having him with us! It was so important to us that we feel comfortable with the person we were going to have sharing our most important day, and we did a lot of research and carefully interviewed. Michael's easy, open attitude and the way he listened to us put him ahead of the rest from the start. His professionalism is flawless. He was the only vendor I never had to worry about even once, always quick to respond to us. Michael even took time to learn our families' stories, and I felt like it really made a difference in the way that he chose some of his shots, which were so perfect that only someone who knew exactly what it would mean to us could have done it. When we did our bridal party shoot, he was spontaneous, fun, and we really enjoyed having him with us. During the ceremony and reception, he somehow disappeared from our sight but got amazing photos, even close-ups. Our guests raved about his photos, and we're forever grateful for his artistic talent and warmth that he brought to our special day. We love his work so much that we plan to ask him to photograph our baby when she arrives!

Michael photographed my wedding in May 2009. He was great to work with. I was wary about feeling like the paparazzi was in my face (and actually didn't originally want to hire a photographer at all) but I barely even noticed Michael was there but looking at the pictures afterward, he captured everything! The pictures were amazing, a great mix of creativity and capturing important moments. He even got great pictures of our very young niece and nephew (who are usually very challenging to photograph). On top of that, I thought his prices were very reasonable. I definitely recommend Michael!

I was completely satisfied and impressed with Michael's work from the beginning! His sense of sincerity and willingness to be accommodating was apparent at our first interview. His images impressed me with the candid,storytelling approach. He was so comforting as we approached the final preparations and on the day of our wedding, he made the pictures so relaxed. Not once during my wedding did I feel inconvenienced by taking pictures or uncomfortable! He helped make my wedding day exactly what I wanted it to be. When I saw the images, I was so excited and his work captured all parts of the day, the parts I wanted to remember, and the parts that I never saw! Michael is an amazing person to work with and it shows from the moment he meets you to the day you get the email with "your photos are available!" Michael has a way of finding all of the most heartfelt, genuine moments of a day and capturing them absolutely beautifully. Let's face it--every wedding photographer can line up a wedding party and take relatively beautiful pictures of everyone dressed in their best and grinning ear to ear. Michael is no exception; these all looked great. But the difference comes in the little things we noticed in the photos of moments that we had completely missed at the wedding--my mom wiping a tear from her eye, a groomsman tying his shoe before his march up the aisle, the look of sheer joy when we took that first bite of cake from each other's hands, the little girl twirling to her heart's content on the dance floor. These photos are the ones we love and the ones that will most help us really remember what our day was like.

My husband and I were not looking for the gooey, cheesy, overly romanticized shots that some weddings have, because we are not gooey, cheesy, overly romantic people. We are laid back, fun-loving, mostly sarcastic and always laughing people and worried that a "wedding photographer" would turn us into a Modern Bride cover. Not the case--Michael took the time to get to know us, and our pictures looked exactly like us and our style. (Funny faces and all.)

Some major pros: low light or alternative wedding locations (ours was in a hotel with no windows in the middle of February) are not a problem, the pictures turned out beautifully. Michael took the time to really get to know us before the wedding--by listening to us, not just talking to us--so that by the time wedding day rolled around, he knew exactly the type of wedding we had planned and exactly what we were looking for in our photos. He never tried to make us look like something we weren't or create artificial "moments", but just focused on capturing the beauty (and craziness, and excitement, and everything else) of the day that was already there. The results were perfect.

We had a great time getting to know him throughout the wedding planning process, and we were kind of wishing he would stay for the end of the reception after the photos were over, just to hang out! Five stars from us, no question.

For me and my Fiance (now husband) Choosing our wedding photographer was one of our most important decisions. With so many photographers to choose from it quickly became overwhelming..We orginally booked with another company, somehow they double booked, and so they outsourced us to Michael, we had not previsously seen any websites from him, and were a bit nervous. Michael called us on the phone weeks before the wedding and made a point to learn about us, and our family that would attend the wedding, immediatly he formed a very professional relationship with us and gained our trust. The Big day came and Michael, DID NOT miss a single shot!!! I was one of those brides that had to have a sunset photo, and the sun was radiply setting as the limo's were racing for the seaside cliffs in Cohasset, MA. The entire wedding party plus Michael were running and climbing trying to catch my "dream shot" Well of course we captured the images, and to this day my friends still give me a hard time about climbing a cliff in heels! hahaha, It was wonderful to have a photographer that was also willing to literaly put his neck out their for us! So many of our photos are beyond words!!!! And they are still all over our house! 3 years later! Trust me you will not regret hiring Michael as your photographer, it was a blessing that fate brought him to us :)

Amazing experience! Michael is the best and easiest photographer I've ever worked with - the bride was overcome by joy when she received the photo link 48 hours after our event. He took the responsibility of photographing the wedding very seriously and made sure the event was captured completely and wonderfully. Do not hesitate to choose Michael! I am so, so happy we used him. We had a simple luncheon wedding for 35 and a tight budget, so we hired Michael on an hourly basis. He was willing to work with us when others didn't even respond or said 'absolutely no, sorry' to our budget request.

My wife and I were very impressed with Michael Brook from the first day we called him. He was upfront with his pricing and services provided. We wanted to meet him prior to signing a contract and Michael thought that was a great idea. He even suggested a location that was convenient for us. The first time we met Michael was a met and greet and we went over his portfolio and asked him questions regarding his style of photography. Michael was able to get a sense of what we wanted and our style and we fell in love with this personality, we signed a contact that day. Michael also met us again at our wedding venue in Boston a couple of weeks prior to the wedding. We walked through our wedding day events at the hotel and discussed the "must have" photos we wanted. He suggested some ideas taking into account the wedding would be outside (on a roof deck) and what type of lighting there would be at that time of day. Then we walked over to Boston Commons to scout out some post wedding picture scenes in the park. Throughout our entire experience, Michael was very responsive when we called or emailed him with updates regarding our event. On the big day, Michael was on time (in fact a bit early) and our entire wedding party commented on how much they loved our photographer. He interacted very well with our guests and was very flexible when we asked him to stay longer to take more photos. We received our wedding photos exactly when he said they would be available and we're very impressed with the quality of the photos and the moments he captured.

Overall, Michael Brook was a pleasure to work with and we would definitely recommend him.

I would highly recommend Michael. My wife and I had him as the photographer in our wedding this August. He is flawless as far as photographers go. If you can afford it, and want a quality photographer, I would recommend him in a heartbeat. In addition to quality, he's also kind, responsive, flexible, and you won't even know he's at your event until you need him.

Michael was the best! He spent time really getting to know us and our personalities, and what we wanted to see in our wedding photos. He took extra care to learn about our families in order to make sure that everyone was represented. Our wedding was small and intimate and his photos really captured the spirit of the occasion.

Michael Brook did a fantastic job with the photography at my wedding. We were looking for a reasonably priced photographer where we could own the digital rights, and had almost no sense of what "style" of photography we were looking for. From our very first meeting, Michael was very easy to work with and made the whole process as relaxing as possible for us. During the wedding, Michael blended into the background during the ceremony and reception and provided calm reassurance in gathering the family for portraits. We ended up with hundreds of great shots, and all for a price more reasonable than any other photographer we considered.

Michael was really wonderful to work with! So positive and it is very clearly that he really enjoys what he does and has a great time while working. My only constructive criticism is that I wish he gave a little more direction to people in regards to positioning for group pictures (some of them came out a little lop sided). It rained our entire wedding day and he still managed to work within the space he was given to open doors and windows to bring color into the pictures from the garden!

Michael met with us before our wedding to discuss our preferences and to get a sense of what we were looking for. David was our photographer. David called us to talk about the specifics and talked us through the details. He was great and fun to work with. The photographs came out great. Michael processed the photographs and shared them with us within a week of our wedding. Both Michael and David were a pleasure to work with.
