Beautiful!

Lauren and her team did amazing work for my March 2025 wedding. Lauren was responsive, friendly, and professional through the entire process. She and Callie held a trial with me a few weeks before my wedding to go over hair and makeup options. On the big day, they showed up early. They were so nice and fun. My bridesmaids loved their hair and makeup. When Lauren spun me around for the big reveal, I was blown away. It was exactly how I imaged I would look on my wedding day. I highly recommend to anyone looking!

The Hair & Makeup Team for the Natural Look!

As someone who does not wear makeup, and who wanted to look natural on my wedding day, I was very stressed about what to do for my hair and makeup. I am so glad I found Metro Elegance. Lauren and Whitney are both professionals who really listen to what you want, and are also just fun to hang out with on your big day - which is important given how long hair and makeup can take! When my April 2020 wedding got postponed they were very flexible with my rescheduling (including allowing me to scale back on the number of services when some of my bridesmaids couldn't come get ready in person), and I appreciated their cautiousness about COVID that August when doing the makeup. Everyone complimented my look. I ended up booking them again for my 2022 ceremony, I was so satisfied! And they were a blast to work with them as well. My bridesmaids liked them too.

Thank goodness for Metro Elegance!!!

Lauren, Callie, and the team at Metro Elegance are fantastic! My original hair and makeup artist suddenly went bankrupt without telling me and I quickly had to find someone to do my bridesmaids (6), me, and 3 others without breaking the bank! Lauren was so sweet and helpful, and was able to ease my nerves so quickly! The trial was so lovely and really solidified that I had made the right decision. The wedding day itself went great, and they did a fantastic job. I cried like a baby, and you wouldn't have been able to tell at all!

Thanks again Metro Elegance! What at first was going to be a major roadblock, ended up even better than what I could have imagined! :)

Beautiful Hair & Makeup Services

Metro Elegance did a fantastic job with hair and makeup services for myself and my wedding party 11/13/21. My team was Lauren and Callie, and they were both so talented, efficient, and flexible. Booking and coordinating with Lauren was an easy process, and her contract terms and payment schedule were both very reasonable. I did the trial for my bridal hair and makeup (included in the price), and my mom wanted to tag along for a trial as well (not customarily included, but my mom paid a small fee so she could get a feel for her look on my wedding day too). Lauren has a beautiful studio in her home and it was great that she and Callie were both there that day, as they were the team that would be working with us on my wedding day too. We brought different photos for inspiration and both Lauren and Callie made recommendations based on what would work best for us given our features. What I really appreciated is that they were both flexible and willing to make changes to make sure we were completely satisfied. On wedding day itself, they traveled to my hotel suite and took care of everything in the room which was so convenient. Everyone looked beautiful and everyone was so grateful to feel that they could actually request what they wanted and have those requests come to life. From a COVID sense, everyone felt very safe, as Lauren and Callie were masked while working on everyone, frequently washed and sanitized their hands, and had used different brushes/ applicators and it was clear that they were clean. I would not hesitate to recommend Metro Elegance and would gladly rebook their services in the future.

Professional, fun, beautiful!

I had a wonderful experience with Metro Elegance, my stylist Whitney, and founder Lauren. I did a lot of browsing when looking for hair and makeup artists for my wedding and Metro Elegance was by far the best deal and quality! A good friend of mine also had a great experience and great review of them, which definitely helped to seal the deal for me. From my very first email, Lauren was so helpful and friendly. As a Covid bride, I delayed making many big decisions, but Lauren reassured me and was always prompt in answering any of my questions. After having a just so-so experience using a different company, she and my stylist Whitney helped to reassure me that I would feel and look beautiful on my wedding day. And I did! Whitney was so professional the morning of my wedding and helped my mom, mother in law, and sister in law, and I all feel beautiful! She chatted with all of us and helped put me at ease as I became increasingly more anxious as we got closer to the time we needed to leave for the church. I probably should have scheduled for all of us to be done earlier than I did, but Whitney just rolled with it and made sure we were done with plenty of time. And she even helped my mom with getting my zipper up! I had so many nice comments about my hair and makeup throughout the whole day and after when pictures were shared. The Metro Elegance team is beyond wonderful and I will definitely be using them again for my covid wedding part 2!

So responsive and flexible!

Lauren was amazing! She did my makeup, as well as makeup for some of my bridesmaids and my mother in law. Initially I knew Lauren would be a good choice because she has competitive prices and she was super responsive, which is absolutely necessary when you are trying to plan your wedding. She was flexible when I was late for my trial run due to traffic, and was only concerned with making sure I got there safely. On the day of, she was on time, organized, and kept things moving so that we finished getting ready early! She listens to what you want and is happy to make any changes. I highly recommend!

Amazing Experience from Start to Finish

Lauren and her team were amazing from start to finish. Lauren was like a supportive girlfriend from day one. Callie did an excellent job on my trial and was receptive to feedback when I decided to change my look from "natural" to "glam." My wedding hair and makeup was absolutely perfect! My bridesmaids and I loved Lauren!

I hired Metro Elegance for hair and makeup for me and my 2 bridesmaids. We were all very happy with both her work and her personality. She made it very clear that we should tell her anything we didn't like. One of my bridesmaids had her hair done by a "mean girl" at the last wedding she was in and was so impressed with how easy going Lauren and Ashley were! I've had other hair stylists complain that my very straight, thick hair is hard to work with, but I never heard anything like that from Ashley. I like a natural makeup look and loved my look. Makeup and hair stayed well through the night, even through a few humid hours outside for pictures and ceremony. Highly recommended!

Great Experience

Whitney and Lauren did a fantastic job on the hair and make up for myself and all my bridesmaids. Lauren was very quick to respond to any and all questions leading up to the wedding day. During my trial, Whitney was really helpful and willing to try any and all styles I wanted since I wasn't sure what would look best. They both arrived on time on the wedding day and made sure everyone was ready on schedule with time to spare. They are both very sweet and pleasant to work with. They also made sure to do any touch ups needed at the end and make any adjustments needed so that everyone was comfortable and felt their best. I was thrilled with the way it turned out and my hair and make up lasted the whole night, as did all of my bridesmaids. Rates are also very affordable.

Wonderful makeup artist at an affordable rate

Callie was awesome to work with - easygoing and listened well to my ideas while also providing helpful feedback. She did my hair + makeup, my sister's makeup, my best friend's makeup, and my niece's hair. Everyone got the "natural look", and although I was against airbrushing, Callie showed me that my makeup could still look natural - and actually, even better - if you apply it. She was right! It didn't look caked on or fake - just perfect! Lauren was also very responsive on email and organized. I appreciate that, especially when it got hectic with the planning. Highly recommend using them!

So Happy with Metro!

I used Metro Elegance for my bridal hair and makeup, and had 6 of my bridal party also use them. Lauren and Callie arrived on time and were able to get us all done on time. Overall, we were all so happy with the hair and makeup and definitely recommend them. They were so sweet and funny and made sure we were all staying stress free the whole time. The only concern we had was the eye liner used. A few of us noticed black dots and lines under our eyes and on our cheeks before the wedding began and had to touch it up quickly. Regardless, we were very happy with how we looked.

Whitney was great, there were 6 of us and she was able to get everyone ready ahead of schedule. My makeup and hair stayed all night, even through the after party. I felt beautiful and loved my makeup and hair.

I had an amazing experience with Lauren and Whitney from Metro Elegance for my August, 2018 wedding. They were a pleasure to work with and it was clear that they take great pride in their work as they attended to every possible detail! Everything was organized and went according to plan from the hair/make-up trial to the actual wedding day. My bridal party was in love with their hair (done by Whitney) and make up (done by Lauren) and also told me how much they enjoyed talking with the team. As the bride, I received endless compliments on my hair and make-up, which was done by Whitney. I was particularly impressed with how long my hair and make-up stayed as it looked fresh and in tact all night long! Also, Lauren stayed for a bit after all of the hair and make-up was completed during our pre-ceremony photos to be on hand in case any hair and/or make-up touch-ups were needed. This was a huge comfort to me and I can't say enough how appreciative I am of Lauren and Whitney, overall! I highly recommend their services!

I couldn't be happier to have found Whitney and Lauren as my hair and makeup professionals for my April 14th wedding. They were absolute pros, and they made my girls and I look even better than I expected.

During my trial with Whitney, she really took the time to look at pictures I brought, and helped me pick the right look for me. For example, I was considering having my long hair pushed to the side, but she noted that the embellishments on my dress would catch to my hair and pull out the curls. I never even considered that!

Including me, they worked on 10 girls, both hair and makeup. The wedding was at 6, so they were working on us from 9 to 4. They worked straight through and never complained once. All of my girls have different hair and complexion, but that wasn't an issue for them at all. Everyone of them looked absolutely gorgeous.

Not only was their work amazing (seriously, hair and makeup held up all night and we closed the bar) but they were really fun. I was a neurotic bride at times and they really chilled me out too. They were all around really fun ladies to hang out with (and that's important on a stressful day). They were reasonably priced and I would recommend them hands down over every friends wedding I've gotten my hair and makeup done for.

We had Whitney and Alexis do our hair and makeup and they make a fantastic team! There were ten of us in total, but Whitney and Alexis were amazing and super efficient. With so many of us, I was amazed that they were able to keep us on schedule, especially since I have really thick hair and I knew it would take slightly longer for my hair to be put up. But Whitney wasn't fazed at all. Not only did she do a great job with everyone's hair and makeup, but she made sure everyone was happy with their hair and makeup before she and Alexis left. I would highly recommend Metro Elegance, because they did a great job and have really reasonable rates.

Lauren + Brianna were wonderful, I couldn't have asked for a better team! Leading up to the big day Lauren was prompt in responding to emails, helpful in answering questions and made scheduling a breeze. On the big day they showed up early, very prepared and were a joy to have there. Making conversations, laughing and making the morning fun for all! Lauren was so helpful in guiding me the not-really-makeup-wearing person to the best look, and not overdone. Brianna was able to get my hair to curl, a feat within itself, and my hair was more than I could have dreamed of! Even after I forgot my hairpiece for the trial, she easily worked it in the day of with ease. Lauren did my make up for a big event my company was throwing at a hotel in downtown DC. I went to the studio she has in her home (which was super convenient) a few hours before the event and she worked quickly and diligently to get me looking party ready in no time. She is an expert with the air brush technique and my skin looked radiant and flawless. My make up looked fresh and not overly done up. Metro Elegance and Whitney were great to work with! Very responsive to email. I waited until pretty close to my wedding date to figure out hair and makeup, and they were able to set up a trial, and provide makeup and hair for a less than three people for a Sunday wedding.

I loved how my hair and makeup turned out. At the trial, I thought I wanted an updo to have my hair out of my face, but realized I was more comfortable with a half updo. Whitney helped me try different versions, lip colors and eye makeup to figure out what I was comfortable with. As someone who normally is pretty low key with makeup and hair styling, but wanted to look beautiful and put together (but still feel like themselves) on their wedding day, I would highly recommend Metro Elegance!

I loved my hair and make-up for my wedding day! Callie did an amazing job at the trial and even better on my big day. It was just what I asked for. My girls all looked great, too, and were so happy with their finished products. Whitney did make up and Callie did hair! Whitney and Callie were a pleasure to work with and were very personable and accommodating. Lauren, the owner, was very responsive via email and flexible with getting things arranged for me. The only thing I was disappointed with was that I was told to finish 8 girls (hair and make-up) we would have to start at 6:30am, but Callie and Whitney were done by 11am. I had arranged for my photographer and videographer to come at 12noon to capture some of us getting ready but we were already finished by the time they arrived so I didn't get any pictures of the glam process. I guess it is better to be early than late!! I would recommend Callie and Whitney to any bridal party looking for flawless hair and airbrushed makeup!

Lauren and Ashley are a top notch team! They are extremely talented at what they do! We started hair and makeup at 4am and they were prompt and ready to work! It was so great that they came to our house to get ready- it made the wedding day less stressful because of that! They are super friendly, knowledgeable, and just so fun to work with! And one of my bridesmaids ended up hiring them for her wedding a few months after mine, and the experience was just as amazing the second time! The ladies at Metro Elegance are fantastic! I am so happy that I decided to hire them for my wedding day hair and makeup. Lauren and Whitney helped to make the planning process really easy at my pre wedding day trial. They were also super flexible when a few of my bridesmaids decided to add hair/makeup services so close to my wedding day. Whitney traveled over the Bay Bridge and came right to my hotel room where we were getting ready the morning of the wedding. She had everyone’s services done with time to spare and she even insisted on quickly running to the store for me to get a last minute item!! The price was very reasonable, the ladies are very professional and super fun, and Whitney made all of us look fabulous! I highly recommend Metro Elegance for wedding day hair and makeup. I booked hair and makeup for mothers/sisters/grandmother of the grooms for my brother and his now husband's wedding. I reached out to several vendors and couldn't be more thrilled with my choice to go with Lauren and Metro Elegance. From the first email, Lauren made me feel at ease and promptly answered my million questions, no matter how small.
The day of the wedding, we had Lauren and Whitney with us at the venue. They were both in constant contact with me via text, giving me updates on traffic and parking. They both worked seamlessly with our group, listening to everyone's thoughts on looks for the day and giving their expert opinions! Lauren and Whitney both worked together so efficiently and adapted to any schedule switch ups, as our group was constantly in and out of the hair and makeup room. Everyone was absolutely thrilled with their final hair and makeup looks for the day!

These ladies are amazing! When I was a bridesmaid in a wedding last spring everyone looked so great that I asked them right then to do the hair and make-up for my wedding. They came to me for my trial when I was unable to make it to their offices and they came to my wedding party the day of. They really listen to what you are looking to have done and try to recreate the example images that you show them and adjust to your preference. If you aren't happy with the way something looks they will fix and they did touch ups closer to the ceremony to make sure we all still looked perfect after a long day of getting ready. They are fun, nice and easy to talk to- they fit right in with your group of women! I would highly recommend this company.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Metro Elegance for my wedding hair and makeup. I had a very small wedding party - I just had one bridesmaid. Even with such a small group to work on, Metro Elegance provided me with an amazing stylist at a great price.

More than anything, I was looking for a vendor that would was known for providing very natural hair and makeup services to brides. I very rarely wear makeup, even to work, so I needed an extremely natural look for the wedding day. Metro Elegance delivered. I looked like a slightly better version of myself on the day of my wedding and I was thrilled with the results.

Metro Elegance did a fabulous job on my hair and makeup for my wedding! I was very nervous since I never like how my hair or make up turns out whenever I get it done and after my trial I knew it would be great. My hair and make up looked flawless for the entire day, not needing touched up once! Lauren was so pleasant to work with and I had a blast with her on the morning of! Lauren was great to work with leading up to my wedding- she was quick to respond to my emails and offer suggestions on how to make things run smoothly for the day of.
On the morning of the wedding Lauren and her team arrived promptly at out hotel room and got to work immediately. Whitney did hair and make up services of a number of my bridesmaids and Brianna did hair and Lauren did make up. All 3 girls were very professional and very talented. They kept the atmosphere fun and upbeat and it felt like they were part of the wedding party. Me and my bridesmaids looked great! My skin has never looked so flawless and all the girls looked very natural and like themselves. No one looked overly made up or fake, just gorgeous and natural. Lauren, Brianna and Whitney brought out the best in all of us- thank you Metro Elegance!

I am very delayed in writing this review, but the gals at Metro Elegance were top notch for my June 13th wedding. I was very late in looking for hair and makeup artists to come to me for my wedding in St. Michaels, and luckily they happen to have a cancellation. I felt very lucky to have the team of girls that I did (Whitney, Emily, and Becca). Having 9 bridesmaids plus myself, they had a lot of work ahead of them on wedding day, but they showed up on time, ready to get going. In fact, we were even ahead of schedule so there was no day of stress. Everyone loved their wedding day look and they really listened to what my girls wanted for their look as well.

If you get the chance to work with Whitney, she truly is the best. My trial was just over a week before the wedding, and I realized then that my hair was nowhere near the length that I wanted it to be for the big day. Not only did Whitney rush order extensions, she went over 30 miles out of her way to meet me to match my color to make sure they arrived in time. Not only that, she went above and beyond to accommodate me into her busy schedule to put them in. It also might even seem trivial, but she gave me a salon quality brush to make sure they were perfect for the big day. And they were! Also, despite the June weather being super hot, my makeup stayed put and did not sweat off. I really felt like a gorgeous bride!

I would recommend these girls to any bride in the area, but book early because I happen to get very lucky!

Lauren and her team at Metro Elegance are beyond fantastic. I first encountered Metro Elegance at my best friend's wedding and when I saw how beautiful the bride turned out and how great my hair and make-up looked, I knew I HAD to have them for my wedding! Not to mention, we had a blast the whole time while we got our hair and make-up done! They had so much patience dealing with my picky style and having to re-do some of the bridesmaids hair. They are amazing and gave me everything I wanted. My hair and make-up looked way better than I could have ever expected! One of my bridesmaids is actually using them for her wedding in September!!

Callie O'Hara did my hair on my wedding day and was ABSOLUTELY amazing!! She did such a great job with my hair on the trial- it was exactly what I wanted...and she did it again on my wedding day!! I could not have asked for anyone better to do my hair and all the bridesmaids!
Taylor Wiles did my makeup and was also wonderful!! She was so flexible, sociable and easy to work with. She absolutely did everything I asked as well as the bridesmaids. I really enjoyed working with Metro Elegance. They always responded to my emails quickly, and my trial was at my home, which is, well , super convenient. They arrived promptly ( both for the trial and the wedding itself), were super fun to chat with, and all 9 of us ( myself, my mom, our celebrant, and 6 bridesmaids) were transformed into extremely lovely versions of ourselves quickly and efficiently. My hair and makeup remained intact until I had to forcibly remove it! Which is exactly what you want when you happen to be getting married on the 4th of July! All of us looked like super great versions of ourselves - worth every penny :)

The ladies at Metro Elegance are absolutely wonderful. I have had the pleasure of being their client 3 times! Twice as a bridesmaid and once as a bride!! Each time they have done gorgeous work. Not only is the hair and makeup top notch but they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and beautiful. An example of how amazing they are was during my hair and makeup trial. I had a vision of what I wanted to look like on my big day. I didn't quite like the initial hair style. I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings and when I told them I started to cry (I was feeling extra emotional and overwhelmed with everything going on lol). The girls took the hairstyle out and started again. They worked with me through the entire process and got it perfect the second time. They made me feel so at ease and assured me that it was my day and that my happiness was their utmost concern. On the day of the wedding, I can't begin to describe how beautiful I felt. My makeup was absolutely flawless and my hair was just as I pictured. My pictures came out gorgeous. These ladies are always fun, upbeat, and willing to do whatever it takes to make everyone in the wedding party feel fabulous. They took extra time to make my mother feel comfortable and look beautiful. She never treats herself and she was beaming after she was finished. I can't express my gratitude to them enough and this definitely won't be the last time we work together. I recommend Metro Elegance to all future brides. They are worth every penny!

Huge preface: I do not wear make up or "do" my hair basically ever. I was looking for a hair & make up option for our wedding that would 1) come to my house 2) answer my e-mails and 3) make me look like me, just... nicer. Metro Elegance exceeded all expectations and was the best value of all estimates I collected! I was so pleased with my correspondence with Lauren in planning a trial that would work with the timing of a visit from my mother. Then Whitney, who actually did both my hair and make-up (along with that of my mom & maid of honor), was an absolute joy to work with. I worked with Metro Elegance for onsite hair styling for myself and my bridal party. The owner Lauren is incredibly professional, responsive and helpful. I appreciated her answering all of my questions in a timely and detailed manner. Her pricing structure was also very simple which I appreciated after getting several complicated quotes from other vendors. Whitney was our stylist and she did a beautiful job with everyone's hair. She was arrived promptly for my trail and on the wedding day itself . She recreated the look I had in mind exactly and was a lot of fun to have during the getting ready process. We did the styling early in the day since we did photos before the ceremony. Everyone's hair style stayed in and looked beautiful throughout the ceremony and reception. I would definitely recommend Metro Elegance to anyone getting married in the DC area.

I used Metro Elegance for my wedding in May 2014 and they were such a welcome bright spot in what was a pretty stressful wedding planning experience. Lauren was so upbeat and quick to respond to all of my (frequent, detailed, and slightly neurotic) emails. They were super patient with me at my trial and Ashley let me experiment with a couple different hair looks. I'm REALLY picky about my make-up and Lauren did exactly what I wanted. I'm not the subtle type and I wanted some drama for my wedding day, which she definitely accomplished! The day of the wedding we had a pretty early start time, but they were all smiles which helped ease the pain of the early wake-up for my bridal party. Everyone looked fantastic and loved their hair and make-up. I've already recommended Metro Elegance to a few of my friends getting married soon and will continue to do so!

Our wedding was a Caribbean destination and I used Metro Elegance for my Baltimore wedding reception. The venue wedding planner recommended Lauren's team and I am happy she did! Lauren was professional and quick to respond to my Mom who was the point of contact for the reception. Whitney came to my home for trial hair and make-up. This was a bonus because not all companies off the trial and it’s so important to see yourself before the day you become the bride. Whitney, was on time and came prepared to meet my reception day timeline (so many times brides are behind and have guest waiting due to hair & make up which I hate). I showed her pictures as a guide for my hair, plus she was able to add her own recommendations making me @ ease. I am not usually a lipstick kind of girl so she walked me through how to pick the right color and lip liner- I wear this color almost daily now! This was my first time having air brush make up and it made my skin look flawless to go along with the smoky eye she mastered. Whitney, made sure to secure my hair to stand the Baltimore wind blowing during pictures, bridal dancing and I was even able to sleep on the up-do and look fresh for post wedding breakfast. Oh and I cannot forget how fantastic she made my mom look. Guests were complimenting us all night! As tense as your wedding day can be, Whitney’s outgoing personality helped make me feel relaxed just like she was a part of our family. She had to battle my family members in and out of the hotel room, me trying to eat lunch while getting primped and shoeing off my teenage son and husband but she didn’t get a bit frazzled. I loved my experience and every bride deserves to feel as special as I did!

I shopped around looking at ratings and cost for hair and makeup for myself and my 8 bridesmaids. Lauren, the owner, was very accommodating and answered all of my questions and provided a discount for my junior girls. I did a trial run with Whitney who is a rock star. She came to my house and we went through multiple hair styles and makeup runs. We texted often before the wedding about the schedule since I had so many girls and she was frank and firm telling me we needed to start earlier than I had expected. The day of she arrived early and brought a great assistant and they got to work on my girls. She dealt with the hustle and bustle like a pro. My mom didn't like her eye makeup and Whitney was able to mute it a bit so that my mom was happy. I also had a bit of a bridezilla moment when I wanted my hair a little flatter and Whitney addressed the situation and fixed it immediately. I'm sure it was just me being crazy! I would highly recommend them!

Callie from Metro Elegance did mine, bridal party, and mother in law's hair and everyone was happy with their looks. I had to plan my wedding from afar so I had my hair trial almost four months in advance. However, on the day of the wedding, it seemed like the trial occurred the day before because Callie remembered all the details we had previously discussed. Also my bridal party considered Callie an honorary bridesmaids because she fit right in and was part of our lively conversation for most of the day. Overall, Callie was great and I cannot recommend her enough.

I had seen Laurens work previously through a family wedding and knew that I wanted her to do my makeup when I got married. It was so natural and soft as opposed to other artists who put the makeup on and it looks thick and unnatural. Lauren was generous enough to fly to my wedding location and do the make up for myself and my bridal party! The makeup was soft and natural. I did not even feel like it was on when she had finished and received so many compliments. She chose colors that made my eyes pop and skin look so soft. She was very professional and talked me through the whole process. I was so relaxed and considering I had never had my makeup done before, I was at ease and could not have been happier.

Lauren and Callie were great! They were very organized and extremely accommodating throughout the process. I loved how the trail was included in the total cost for my hair and makeup when every other vendor charges an additional fee for the trail.

I'm still in awe of the incredible work that Lauren (who owns the company) did on makeup and Kelly did on hair for me, 2 bridesmaids and my now mother-in-law. A number of people at my wedding came up to tell me how much they loved my hair and makeup, and how natural the makeup looked--that I looked like me with an added glow. Through rain, tears, and sweat the makeup stayed on and still looked great throughout the evening.

Through it all, these ladies were fun and flexible and just all-around fabulous to work with. They really made me shine on my wedding day!

Where do I even begin!!! I had my hair and makeup done for my wedding with them. I had six bridesmaids, two mothers, a grandmother, and a junior bridesmaid who all had there makeup and hair done that day. Not one of my girls in wedding had anything bad to say. Even my grandmother who is 91 and was hard to deal with, they handled her with the most professionalism I have ever seen. If you are a bride and are getting married, I would definitely recommended this company, at first I was alittle hestiate because it was alittle expensive, but to not have any of my girls complain they all loved there hair and makeup and best of all our hair never fell, and out makeup never ran. If you see the date I got married, you might think back it realize it was the hottest day of the summer in 2013. When I say nothing ran, I mean it. I was for sure that my makeup would run or my hair would fall, and NOTHING moved.
Now one of my bridesmaids are getting married, and is using this same company because of there quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, and flexibility!
I promise you will not be disappointed.

Metro Elegance was professional, easy-going, flexible, and fun from the start. Responses to emails and inquiries were quick and easy. Makeup trial was effortless. Even when Lauren got a curveball thrown at her 2 days before my wedding due to a medical emergency requiring a last minute staffing change, she was calm, cool, and collected. Lauren was amazing! She was always so sweet, professional and accommodating. She came to my house for a trial run about a month prior to the wedding. She knows what looks good on every skin tone and what will look great in pictures. She has lots of make-up and even has her own lighting. My husband told me that he loved my make-up! I would definitely recommend Metro Elegance to anyone!

Lauren and Brianna were amazing!! They did hair and make up for myself and all 6 my bridesmaids! They kept everything on schedule and helped keep my head on straight! They even helped me stay calm all morning regardless of any little hiccups! I definitely recommend their services for your wedding!

Metro Elegance is wonderful! I couldn't recommend them more highly. They made my bridal party and I look so beautiful and all of our hair and makeup still looked perfect at 2:00 am after the wedding. Not only did Lauren and Brianna make me and my girls look amazing they were so fun to hang out and chat with while we were getting ready. Love, love, love Metro Elegance!

Lauren and Brianna are both wonderful! They are warm, friendly, and professional. During my hair and makeup trial they listened carefully, made adjustments as needed based on what I wanted, and took notes and photos of their work. They did a great job with the hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids! I would definitely recommend them for your wedding or special event!

Emily and Brianna did an amazing job!! My hair and makeup were perfect on my wedding day. They were both very friendly and made me feel comfortable. Lauren was also very helpful when it came to any questions I had or changes I needed to make. I would definitely recommend that you book them for your wedding or any other special events, you won’t be disappointed!

When I first started planning for my wedding I was debating between Metro Elegance and another company that was referred by the venue. There was never a doubt in my mind that I chose wrong. They are very flexible from the beginning to the trials up until the wedding day. They come to your house or hotel for the trials as well as for your wedding so you don't have to stress or worry about anything. Last minute a few of the people I was going to have hair and make up done for cancelled last minute. Even though I had already signed a contract they were very flexible and I was able to not have any added stress. They did an outstanding job on the trials but an even better job on the wedding. All my girls and moms loved having this done. It was one less stress to have to worry about. I got so many compliments from the guests and everyone else on what a great job they did. I was told many times that I looked like I belong in a bridal magazine. Do yourself a favor and pamper yourself on your wedding day... you wont regret it. My groom took one look at me and almost burst into tears on how beautiful I looked because of Metro Elegance.

Metro Elegance was fantastic!! I highly recommend using them for your wedding day makeup. Metro Elegance was recommended to me by a friend, and they exceeded my high expectations. Lauren was always quick to respond to my emails, made everything easy and convenient, and did an amazing job on my (and my mom's and mother-in-law's) makeup. She made the whole experience so fun and even helped ease my nerves the day of. I thought my makeup looked awesome the day of my trial, but I was blown away with how wonderful it looked the day of. Not to mention the fact that it lasted all day, even throughout a night of major dancing! I also love how the airbrush foundation looked so natural and felt so light, so you feel like yourself and not like you have makeup caked on. She really is very talented and her bubbly personality added to the fun while we were all getting ready. As a bride who had some bad vendors, I also think it's important to add that Lauren is someone you can count on to be reliable and on time (one less worry for you on a day that can be a little stressful).

Lauren and Brianna were absolutely fabulous. They listened to how I wanted to look on my wedding day and made some expert suggestions. They were very responsive to my numerous emails. The trial was great! They came to my apartment and swiftly got to work. It gave me a clear picture of what I would look like on my special day. They also took pictures- which I thought was great. On the wedding day, they showed up right on time. They did the hair and make up for my bridesmaids and my mom. They were even able to squeeze in my cousin and do her hair- which was so wonderful of them! All the girls loved Lauren and Brianna. And I loved how the bridesmaids looked after Lauren and Brianna were done- absolutely gorgeous! They looked flawless, yet natural. Their hair was beautiful as well- and it held against the strong winds we encountered while getting pictures done at the Jefferson Memorial. When it comes to my hair and make up- I was extremely happy. I received so many compliments on how beautiful I looked. I keep looking at my wedding pictures and can't believe that I looked so beautiful. So THANK YOU! Lauren and Brianna! You really made my wedding experience truly wonderful!

Lauren and Brianna were absolutely amazing every single step of the way. They were so flexible with my busy schedule and fitting me in for a trial. I could not have imagined two better people to have there at the hotel making me beautiful on my wedding day. Their fun personalities made the day so much more enjoyable. They made me feel absolutely beautiful - people were telling me I looked like a greek goddess all night, and I have Lauren and Brianna to thank for that!!! They listened to what each one of my bridesmaids and the moms wanted, and everyone could not have been happier with the outcome! These ladies are absolutely genuine and amazing to have had on such a special day. They were prompt in answering all my questions, were flexible with my schedule, great to talk to and work with, and a joy to have done my consultation, and day-off makeup and hair. Lauren- Thank you so much for providing make up services for my wedding! Everyone looked amazing and I cannot believe you were able to satisfy all the different expectations for my family and friends. Half my bridal party doesn't wear make up and the other half love make up and can be extremely picky. You amazed my whole group! Those that don't wear make up were saying how natural and beautiful they looked. The other half were raving about how detailed your work is and how they looked the absolute best. I have seen a few pictures and I look amazing. My make up was flawless and it felt like I didn't have make up on. You made me feel at ease throughout the day and I am so happy you agreed to be apart of the most wonderful day!

Lauren and Brianna were so oustanding and I could not recommend them more strongly! They were both professional but also warm and enjoyable to have with me on my wedding day. They made me and my wedding party look and feel so beautiful -- even my VERY picky mom really did love her hair and makeup! They listened to what we all wanted and also steered us in the right direction, which was so helpful. Not only were they wonderful to work with, but their rates are extremely competitive if you compare them to other vendors -- particularly for airbrush makeup, wow!! They are truly customer service-oriented and I just can't say enough about how happy I am to have found them. I highly recommend Metro Elegance to all future brides!

Let me start by saying, I could not have been happier with how I, my Mom, and bridesmaids all looked on my wedding day. Lauren is an absolute professional with airbrushing and overall makeup. Briana is an expert with styling hair and listening, and I have crazy thick curly hair! The two of them did a GREAT job throughout the whole process. I was not happy with how my first trial went, but they drove out to my place a second time (in traffic and it probably took them 3 hours) to do a second trail for me. Second trail went smooth and come my wedding day I felt amazing, because of my makeup and hair. Every girl knows that if you don't like how you look, you probably will not feel good either. I could not have felt better, they did an absolutely amazing job.

In a word...AMAZING!! These two are simply awesome!! So professional, fun, responsive, and have a passion for what they do! All of my girls and my mother LOVED their hair and makeup! My makeup and hair was amazing all night long!! I even woke up without a hair out of place...makeup was intact as well!! ;) I wish I could have Brianna and Lauren come to my house everyday!! Lauren and Brianna were fabulous. I had Lauren do my make up as well as 6 of my bridesmaids make up and Brianna did my hair as well as 6 of my bridesmaids hair. The hair and makeup turned out better than I could have imagined. We were all a little nervous that the makeup and hairstyle would not last all day/night because we had to start so early but we were pleasantly surprised when we left the wedding for the night how well our hair and makeup still looked.

Another fantastic thing about Metro Elegance is Lauren and Brianna really get to know you and what you want before starting work. They really listened to what I asked for and did exactly that. Not only do they both do great work together, they are a lot of fun to have around the day of the wedding. They are both outgoing and perky people so it took some of the nervousness out of the day.

I absolutely loved working with Metro Elegance. Every single person in my wedding party adored their makeup. It was not over done, like some places tend to make it. We were our best version of ourselves. Our hair came out perfect and lasted the whole night. Initially some of the girls were reluctant to have their hair or makeup done, but when they saw how good everyone else looked, they went for it! We finished hair and makeup with time to spare and our wedding photos looked fabulous. I would highly recommend them!

I am SO lucky to have been able to work with Lauren and Brianna for my wedding day - they both seriously made me look *so* phenomenal! I loved that they were able to come out to my house for the hair and make up trial, and it wasn't an issue when I decided that I wanted to change my desired look at some point between the trial and the day of the wedding. Lauren is a star with make up - she was able to do a spot on, done up version of my everyday make up (per my request) that really accented my features. Every time I look at our family/bridal party formals, I honestly think to myself, "damn my make up looks GOOD". It's a nice thing to think!! As for Brianna, she did my hair as well as most of the ladies in my bridal party, my mom, and my stepsister. Everyone looked beyond amazing, and it all stayed up and beautiful all day - even through some crazy dance moves at the reception! Everyone commented on how sweet, friendly, and professional both Lauren and Brianna were - I think you'd be hard-pressed to find two better artists than these ladies!

I absolutely loved working with Brianna and Lauren! Brianna and Lauren are creative, fun and patient during the whole wedding day! Brianna took my ideas and created a wonderful hair style that I loved. Not to mention she created wonderful hair styles for 2 of my flower girls, my mother and my future sister in law. Everyone loved being pampered! :) Lauren did a wonderful job with my make up! I changed my make up style after our trial and the day of the wedding, Lauren understood exactly what I was looking for and she made me look flawless. I have very oily skin and was concerned that the airbrush make up would not stay put, but it was perfect until the very the end of the night! :) Lauren also made my future sister in law look gorgeous (she had a great canvas!) and my future step daughter (aka flower girl) look stunning. Metro Elegance did my make-up for my engagement party & I absolutely loved it!! For those that know me, I do not wear a lot of make-up on a day-to-day basis - my daily routine takes less than 5 minutes. Laurens airbrush application was flawless & it really enhanced the natural features of my face! I was expecting to feel the weight of the airbrushed make-up & honestly, it didn't even feel like I had anything on my face :) I was really surprised & couldn't have been happier with how it turned out! This is not something I could have done on my own & I'm so glad I had a professional to help!

I received so many compliments on my make-up at our party & the look on my fiancée’s face when he saw me was priceless! He was absolutely wowed! Thanks to Lauren, I felt like the most gorgeous woman in the room at my engagement party & I've already booked Metro Elegance for make-up at my destination wedding next year! Thank you Lauren!!

Lauren did an absolutely wonderful job with the make-up for my girls and me! I couldn't have been more pleased! She took her time with our trial run, and she made absolutely sure that I was happy with it. On the day of the wedding I had changed my mind about the darkness of my eyes, and Lauren had no problem with that. She lightened the make-up to a more natural look, and it looked amazing. Having had the airbrushing done, our make-up stayed ALL DAY long! It was incredibly hot the day of the wedding and regular make-up would have melted away. Not a problem, even with my mom who has oily skin. I can't say enough good things about Lauren's service! Thank you so very much Lauren, and warm wishes to you on your wedding day!

Lauren and her team did an amazing job for my special day. She was so incredibly patient with me as I was very stressed. Lauren took the time to get to know me and my tastes which resulted in the perfect look for the big day. I received a ton of complements on how beautiful I looked (makeup wise). My makeup lasted all day long without any problems. I was able to tear it up on the dance floor with my hubbie and not worry about looking like a clown. I am not one to wear makeup often, but I would definitely choose Lauren for any special event again.

Lauren and her team made a Huge impact on my wedding day- it the best possible way. We had a small wedding with no planner and having them to create my perfect hair and makeup gave the day the professional and special touch I needed to feel like a true bride! They did the hair and make up of the mothers and sisters in our families which was a lot of fun for everyone. Lauren and Brianna did an amazing job with hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids, and the moms. My maid of honor was really skeptical, having had a bad experience at another wedding, but she was completely sold after seeing pictures from my trial. On wedding day, they worked efficiently to stay on schedule, and everyone was happy with their hair and makeup. The airbrushing is absolutely amazing! I have never felt as beautiful, and I can't stop looking at how great we all look in the photos. On top of everything, Lauren and Brianna are fun to be around - they talked with me the whole time and I felt comfortable spending the morning of my wedding with them. I highly recommend them to other DC brides!

I don't wear make-up and or put any effort into dealing with my hair on a daily basis, so I'm pretty clueless about dealing with both, but Whitney had so much patience with me. I never felt uncomfortable or rushed, despite my lack of preparation for my hair/make-up trial. She also did work on my mom and sister for the wedding.

From my mom: "She was very amenable to suggestions, seemed to listen and understand what look you wanted. Didn't seem to get annoyed when you requested she redo something."

From my sister: "I liked her and the results. She came totally prepared. Definitely appreciated her relaxed, in-control attitude which is so important when surrounded by stress."

My only gripe: The owner, Lauren, coordinated everything and asked me to be at the venue at noon. However, when Whitney did my trial, she said we could start an hour later and still be ahead of schedule. She also said she'd text the night before to find out where to meet me at the venue. She didn't text the night before, but instead at 12:10pm on the day of, asking where to meet. It was stress I didn't need that day. She did, however, keep it to herself if she was annoyed about waiting around for nearly an hour before I arrived, which I appreciated.

I had the privilege of working with both Lauren & Cali for my wedding day on June 1st, 2014. Lauren did my makeup; and Cali did my hair. I was in contact with Lauren for the majority of the process and her responsiveness and professionalism was great. She contacted me about a month and a half prior to my wedding date to make the appointment for them to come to my house for my trial. I loved that about them- they came to ME!

The trial went well; Cali was patient with me when I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do with my hair & Lauren nailed my makeup. I looked in my bathroom mirror and was so happy with how it all came out-- It made me that much more excited for my wedding day. Both ladies took pictures of their work so they could go back and make sure they knew what they needed to do on my wedding day.

Lauren and Cali arrived super early to my hotel room to start on my girls so we had plenty of time to get through everyone. Lauren started on makeup on one of my bridesmaids and Cali on my sister in law. My sister-in-law told Cali that she just wanted it up and out of her face. Before I knew it, my sister-in-law had the exact hairstyle I was supposed to get. I was a tad shocked that Cali did that-- I didn't understand why she would have pictures of me from my trial and not look at them before starting the morning's up-do's to ensure that didn't happen. I showed Cali a picture of my trial & compared hairstyles to what she just did on my sister; and she was incredibly apologetic. My sister came back about an hour later & Cali changed her hairstyle just by switching some bobby pins around and changing her hair to the side. I was not happy at first, but to keep it in perspective, she did 9 ladies and everyone was very happy with their hair... including me!

Lauren did amazing on the makeup-- I got so many compliments; as did my bridesmaids & mom's... the makeup she did looked so natural but had the bridal effect that every bride wants.
