Beautiful venue
Merlot on the Water is a beautiful venue with an even more beautiful property. We had only 75 guests, which limited our options for a Saturday night reception. Merlot doesn't ask for a specific guest count, just a $$ minimum.
Food is great, Victoria is very helpful and responds in a timely manner. Venue has a bridal suite and a separate room for groomsman to get ready.

Merlot on the water was the absolute best decision that we made when planning our wedding. We knew we wanted a bit of a smaller wedding (netted out at 74) and other venues we looked at barely wanted to give us the time with our size, were fairly rude or had crazy expensive minimums. I happened to find Merlot on the Water online, so we went to take a look. Right away we knew this was the place for us. It is truly a hidden gem - we amazingly beautiful grounds, lots of character and Victoria is a selling feature in itself. We ended up deciding on the venue the day we looked. Victoria was wonderful throughout the process - she clearly knows what she is doing, runs a tight ship and is cool calm and collected at all times.
The day of our wedding, everything went absolutely perfect. From the weather, the way the staff set up our decor, the appetizers, food to even the take down - couldn't have been any smoother. Our guests raved the entire night about the food and we are still getting lots of feedback on how wonderful the venue and staff were. I also feel that MOTW was a great value for the price. Everything was truly wonderful.

We checked out dozens of venues before we stumbled across Merlot. What sold us on Merlot were the following:
-Only hosts one event a day so there’s nobody get else getting married across the hall.
-The gorgeous scenery, as well as beautiful interior.
-The easy to understand, and absolutely fair contract
-Victoria, the owner who is incredibly attentive and kind. We liked her right away when we met her.
-No hidden fee’s!! Everything is included in the price per person, except tax
Our wedding day was a 10/10. So many people asked us how we found Merlot, and two guests said they were going to inquire about possibly setting up their own weddings with Merlot. Everyone raved about the appetizers and food. The chef even came out and asked everyone how they enjoyed it. Like clockwork all of the staff would come around and ask my husband or I if we needed something. Wonderful experience! -

Merlot on the water was such an amazing venue to get married at ! Victoria helped us each step of the way , and my wedding an absolute success. Our wedding was during this pandemic & our venue made sure all precautions were taken. The food is amazing , the atmosphere is quaint , and the views are breathtaking! I met with Victoria not long after I got engaged. I already review all the venue had to offer and went in to take a tour and it was beautiful and just what we were looking for. Our wedding isn't until October 2002, but if you have the chance to tour this facility, please do. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. -

Hidden Gem- Merlot On the Water
Merlot On the Water is a definite Hidden Gem! A Truly breath taking venue. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and full of color. A Definite Must see! I absolutely love Working with the owner Victoria. Very helpful and comfortable to work with, I liked her instantly. Our Experience was absolutely wonderful with a value that is comparable to other vendors only getting so much more at Merlot on the Water. -

Very professional and easy to work with!
We had our wedding here! The venue was awesome! Victoria and her staff went above and beyond for ourselves and our guests! The food was to die for! Our guests couldn't stop talking about. The outside of merlot on the water was pictured perfect! With stunning views we had a hard time picking our favorite picture! Merlot on the water very highly recommended! -

We got rejected by a bunch of venues because our wedding was “too small” (60 guests) but Merlot was not only the perfect size but local and affordable too! Beautiful historic building, lush gardens, and wonderful food! Victoria is great to work with and goes out of her way to help in any way she can! Truly loved this place and I’m so grateful we were able to get married here! -

Concetta Sent on 06/10/2018It is the perfect venue! We were able to be there the whole day, so we didn't have to travel from getting ready to the ceremony. Even though it rained, there was a beautiful spot inside where we could still hold the ceremony. The tables were set up nicely to have enough room for people to eat, and a big dance floor. Vicki was amazing through the entire planning, helping us with suggestions of vendors and a good list of what needed to be done. Also, the food is phenomenal, from the cocktail hour through the delicious entrees. Absolutely would recommend having an event at Merlot on the Water. -

The food was absolutely delicious! Chef Carl is the best! Thanks for making my sisters bridal shower unforgettable!! Many guests left there inquiring about Merlot on the water for future holiday parties, weddings, and showers. Fantastic venue! Can’t wait to visit again!! Thanks Vic and Staff for being so attentive, flexible and accomodating. -

Our wedding was perfect in everything planned, the weather and venue were gorgeous. The food prepared was delicious and many of our guests are still saying it was the best wedding they have attended. Everything was truly perfect down to every detail and everyone was very professional, courteous and considerate of every guest attending. I would highly recommend them and their facility was just what we wanted as we held the entire ceremony thre on the grounds. The outside was perfect as well as the interior and banquet room, we couldn't have asked for anything more.
We are still awaiting photo's from the photographer hower we received a couple from friends. -

We made the perfect choice with this venue.
Merlot on the Water was the perfect venue for our wedding. The grounds are beautifully kept and the view of the pond during our ceremony was amazing. The inside of the venue is very inviting and the perfect place to have a reception. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the positive experience. The chef is also very nice and was available for any questions. Victoria was a great resource to have and I was glad she was there. She made sure that my husband and I were able to get a few moments together and also that we actually ate! I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a beautiful wedding at an affordable price. -

We had the best day of our lives at Merlot on the Water. We had never heard about it before, but when we found ourselves scrambling in March when our original reception venue closed down (4 months before the wedding!!), Merlot on the Water had our date open and quickly accommodated us and our needs. My husband and I did not have to worry about a single thing the whole reception with Victoria running the show and making sure everything went smoothly. We were impressed by her down-to-earth personality, her creativity and flexibility, and her natural professionalism. And it felt like we had a friend running our wedding for us; we trusted her so much. From beginning to end, no matter what kind of questions (even the weird ones!), Victoria was available to answer and assist in planning the day even up to the morning of. She checked in with us a couple times during the reception and was easy to find when we needed her--but she didn't hover! The food was delicious(the chef even came out to say hello and check in the guests!), the staff friendly and helpful, and the grounds beautiful to spend the evening beside. We are still getting compliments over a month later on how beautiful and easy going our wedding was. Merlot on the Water fit exactly the type of reception we wanted to have. Highly recommend to those looking to have a fun and elegant wedding! -

Emma Sent on 01/19/2017We've been married for about five months now and Victoria was our best vendor! We were so, so happy with everything she did to make our day happen! We had problems with another vendor and Victoria went out of her way to help us. A million stars!
Victoria has been amazing. She is so flexible and accommodating. Whatever we want, she's been able to make happen. We've been able to pick certain alcohol we want, at no extra cost. She has a groom's room AND a bridal suite AND a bridesmaids' area. The menu is incredible. She has made us feel so relaxed every step of the way. Our wedding isn't until May, but we booked with her almost two years ago, and if the preparation is any indication of how the wedding will go, it'll be phenomenal. Definitely recommend! -
