Working with Mena Garcia Beauty was such a pleasure from start to finish. Her team responded to every question quickly and made it easy to talk through exactly what I wanted for my hair and makeup. Mena and her tream kept things on time and never made me feel rushed during the getting ready process, even with a bridal party of 6 and two moms to glam up. Her makeup work was flawless and natural-looking, yet glam, and she nailed my hair extensions so they matched perfectly. She let me try a couple different hairstyles to make sure we got it just right. What really set Mena apart was how she made me feel like I was getting ready with an old friend rather than just a vendor—she was my personal hype girl all morning and made my bridesmaids feel beautiful too. I can't recommend her enough for any bride looking for a talented and genuine beauty professional. -

Her work is absolutely stunning. She created the perfect look for the bride: glamorous yet completely natural, enhancing her features without ever making her look overdone. She looked gorgeous—but most importantly, she still looked like herself.
Kelsie, her assistant, was equally amazing and made the mother of the bride feel so special and beautiful. Their calm, warm presence added to the joy of the day.

We had a wonderful experience with Mena and her team. I was blown away with my hair and makeup, and my bridal party felt the same way! Her team worked efficiently and stayed ahead of schedule, and we really enjoyed their positive energy throughout the day! I even had a small makeup emergency a few hours after her team left — she was very responsive and accommodating and was able to send over the supplies necessary to fix the problem! I would highly recommend Mena and her team. -

Mena is the best!!
If you want to look so good you don’t recognize yourself in the mirror… book this team!!! Mena did my makeup for engagement photos, boudoir shoot, and of course my wedding. I have never felt more confident and beautiful. If you are searching for an artist, I promise you have found her. Not only does Mena make you feel your absolute best, her team the day of gets straight to work and will make all your bridesmaids and family feel the same! I have been in multiple weddings where the beauty team is unorganized, rushed, or makes you want to wash your hair and face and do it yourself. Her team had a set pre made schedule for each of my girls, listened to their beauty visions, extremely friendly, and even my pickiest bridesmaids were blown away and obsessed with how they looked! Also, due to my venues schedule, we had to get ready at my house and her team brought their own table/chairs and left my house cleaner than it was before they arrived. I can not compliment Mena and her team enough! -

Mena went above and beyond to help me after mildly traumatizing and extremely disappointing trial experience with a competitor. With a drive to make things perfect for you, she spent time consulting with me prior to a trial, color matched me for clip-in hair extensions, which she was very honest about the need for to achieve the look o desired, and overall put me at ease for one of the most important physical aspects of my big day. She did a beautiful trial, and incredible work the day off for me as the bride! Her team did a great job on my bridal party as well. My little niece was elated to have glitter added to her flower girl bun, and the team was so kind and patient with everyone. If you are a picky bride, Mena is the woman to work with! She truly takes pride in her craft, and I am very grateful she was available to help prepare me for one of the most important (and highly photographed!) days of my life! Thank you, Mena! -

BOOK MENA & HER TEAM ASAP! I got married in Wilmington, NC in August 2022, but was living in California at the time while planning the wedding. My venue had sent a list of trusted makeup & hair vendors in the Wilmington area, but I just wasn’t crazy about any of their previous looks they had done and needed someone better. Also, since I was living out of state, I needed flexibility in booking a trial as it would be based on when I visit NC so it was easiest to choose a team that does both hair & makeup. First off, I was extremely impressed with Mena’s professionalism and the whole look of her investment guide pdf. Other artists in Wilmington were just sending me Word docs with prices and outdated stuff and it just wasn’t enticing but WOW I really appreciated Mena’s organization and responsiveness. She was also very accommodating to allow me to reserve two trial dates in case 1 didn’t work out. She gave me peace of mind through the whole process. And then trial & wedding day SHE KILLED IT! I do a decent job at my own hair & makeup so I really wanted a natural glam for my wedding day that would make me still look like me but the best version and that is absolutely what Mena delivered. We also did glam waves that held ALL day & night through rain and humidity - people still ask me to this day how my hair still looked so good at the end of the night. Her team was early in setting up and ready to go, stuck to the timeline really well, and all the other artists did amazing jobs on my bridesmaids and the mothers as well. Mena is also so sweet and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect (even helped use a Tide to-go on a small stain that was on my robe lol) and helped calm me down when I was stressed about possible rain on our day. 10/10 recommend trusting Mena and her team for your special occasion!!! -

Picking Mena and her team for hair/makeup on my wedding day was the best decision! Mena is the sweetest person, and she made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She is patient and ensures you love the final look during your trials before the big day. She is very detail oriented, knowledgeable, trustworthy and will stick to the timeline. Mena was absolutely amazing! She is so kind and bubbly- bringing an absolute wonderful attitude to the day. Her work is outstanding. I am SO happy the way my hair and my bridesmaids hair turned out.
Mena was able to accommodate our date that was quickly approaching! She made me feel so comfortable and made sure my hair was exactly how I wanted it. Such a wonderful experience with Mena!
I had my hair & makeup done, as well as trials for my wedding. The first time I met her, there was coffee and Taylor Swift music playing! I felt like we were already friends! She is so sweet and attentive. She worked with me until we found the look I was envisioning, and was so accommodating through all the changes.
Not only is she fun to hang out with, she is so skilled!
I was so pleased, and felt the most beautiful on my wedding day. Allll the stars given. Highly recommend. -

Beautiful Work!
Mena was an absolute pleasure to work with. Going into the Bride Trial, I was very worried: I have very thin hair that barely holds a curl--no worries though! Mena was able to style my hair in my dream style. and it held throughout the entire wedding day. My makeup was also beautiful and, similarly, stayed fresh throughout the evening. The same goes for my bridesmaids' hair and makeup. We all received so many compliments, both on how well they did and also on how long our hair and makeup lasted. I cannot recommend Mena and her lovely, artistic, friendly team enough. They were all truly wonderful and made my wedding morning both fun and easy. -

Mena and her team were absolutely AMAZING. From the moment I contacted her she was responsive with pricing, figuring out scheduling, doing a trial run of hair and makeup for me, and putting me at ease about getting everything done on time! I had a total of 15 services combined between hair and makeup, and Mena was even able to work AHEAD of schedule to get everyone done before photos began! Her team was super cheery, hilarious, and put all of us at ease despite it being an early start of a stressful day. She uses high quality products that stayed on ALL day despite sweating, dancing, hugging, eating, and drinking, and she was able to recreate exactly what I wanted. My hair and makeup made me feel like an actual bride rather than just a tired stressed out girl! -

Mena and her team were absolutely phenomenal! I had the pleasure of working with Mena two times (COVID Bride here!) I am so thankful she was available both times!! She made me feel so beautiful that I cried. I couldn't believe how she made me feel so gorgeous and natural on my wedding day(s)! Her Mom and team were so sweet. Mena and her team are AMAZING. I cannot say enough good things about them. First of all, she is the sweetest person ever, so laid back and easy to talk to. She is super responsive, caring, and professional. We had a very last minute SNAFU the week leading up to our wedding and she was so understanding and patient with us as we worked through it. She and Ariel made me and my bridal party and family look and feel so beautiful. I did a hair and makeup trial the same day I did bridal portraits, and she checked in with me afterwards to make sure my hair stayed in place and my makeup still looked great. She truly cares about her clients and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Even my mom who does not normally wear makeup loved the experience and the look they created for her. Mena and her team are literally the hair and makeup DREAM TEAM--they are truly the best. Mena did my hair and makeup on my wedding day and I’ve never felt more beautiful. Not only are she and her team incredibly talented, but they’re also so kind and fun.
They brought the best vibes the morning of the wedding and they were right on schedule—at no point did we feel rushed or stressed. Mena is so professional. She created a timeline for the eight ladies that were getting their hair and makeup done and she was super responsive leading up to the wedding day.
My Mom and Grandma were somewhat nervous about getting their make-up professionally done as they still wanted to “look themselves,” and they NAILED IT. Everyone was so happy and felt so beautiful. If you want a hair/makeup recommendation, they’ll suggest something beautiful, and if you show them a picture, they’ll ace it. I will forever recommend Mena and her team! -

We hired Mena and her team to do makeup, but they went above and beyond our expectations. As expected, every makeup artist was professional and talented. But they were also attentive, kind, and engaging - the kind of people you’d want to hang out with even though you’ve only just met them. Our wedding had 2 ceremonies - traditional Laotian and American. The Laotian one is high bun with ornaments. I wanted to be able to let my hair down for the American rather than wear the bun for the entire day. Mena truly delivered. Not only was she able to curl my hair and have that set in the bun, she worked quickly and efficiently during my 30 minute transition to American ceremony to let my hair down and style it. I also received numerous compliments on my make up. I put all my trust in her and did not do a trial with my make up. I could not have asked for a better MUA. My lipstick was on until the wee hours of the next morning with just one reapplication at my transition. You won't regret book with Mena! Thank you for making our day so memorable! -

Where do I even start?! Mena is the most warm, genuine, and friendly person. Her makeup and hair skills are just an added bonus! The first time I met her was to have my hair and makeup done for my engagement photos. I knew right away I wanted her to do my hair and makeup for my bridal shower and wedding. She is super flexible and will work with your schedule. On my wedding day she drove to my venue to do my hair and makeup as well as my mom and sister. I could not stop staring at myself in the mirror! I changed the look I wanted sort of last minute and it was everything I envisioned and then some! To this day my mom and sister can’t even stop talking about how beautiful Mena made them feel. They were super professional and did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, MOB and myself with time to spare! Everyone loved their look too and the compliments kept coming! Where do I start? I came across Mena’s portfolio a few months after I got engaged and instantly knew there wasn’t another makeup artist in the area that could create the look I wanted on my wedding day the way she could — and that’s exactly what she did! Mena is professional, down to earth, thoughtful and extremely passionate about the beauty industry and making her clients feel their best. From the moment I met her, I knew she would create my dream “look” but I had no clue she’d also make me feel so comfortable in my own skin. Highly recommend - Mena is an artist!
I am SO HAPPY Mena did my wedding hair and makeup! From our first conversation to the trial to wedding day, Mena was so easy to work with! I loved being able to text Mena inspiration photos for myself and my bridesmaids. Mena was so flexible with the trial location and even wedding day. Her team came to the hotel where we were getting ready and then to the venue, too! On wedding day, I told Mena I’d changed my mind and wanted to do something different for my hair then what we did at the trial. I looked at her and said, “I want it up with a braid, let’s wing it” and she was up for the challenge!!! My hair was beautiful and exactly what I’d envisioned. My makeup was natural glam and so pretty! I don’t wear makeup often and Mena was able to make me feel natural, while ensuring my makeup would look great in photos! My mom’s hair and makeup was stunning and my mother-in-law teared up because she felt so beautiful! When my maid of honor didn’t love her hair, Mena stayed past her time to redo it and ensure she was happy. The end result was flawless - I cannot recommend Mena enough!!!!! -

Mena is great!!!!
I would 1000% recommend Mena and her team to anyone! She's simply the best! Mena did my H&MU Bridal Trial on the day of my Bridal portraits and I've never felt more beautiful. She's so flexible and willing to come to you which is really helpful and appreciated. She really takes her time and prides herself in you feeling your absolute best.
On the day of the wedding, Mena and her team came to where my BM and I were getting ready which was so nice! She developed a timeline ahead of the day of and provided it to me to give to the BM. (for the type A in me, I LOVED this) She's so organized and stays on schedule. She finished everyone on time and was not rushed. Mena and her team (she brought 2 others with he) did my hair and makeup, all six of my bridesmaids hair and makeup and the MOG hair. She started at 9:30 and finished up around 1:30 (I think?) I appreciated the touch ups at the end as well! The hair and makeup was absolutely wonderful! I showed Mena 4-5 pictures for inspiration and her team really took it and ran with it. Many people at the wedding commented on how beautiful everyone looked. I couldn't recommend her more - I truly felt the most beautiful ever on my wedding day.
To top it all off, Mena is genuinely the most kind person ever. I loved chatting with her while I was getting my H&MU done. She makes you feel so comfortable! In fact, I trusted her so much that the day of my wedding, after she was done, I didn't even rush to the mirror - I completely forgot! I knew Mena had done a great job!

Mena was the perfect choice for my wedding day. I decided last minute to hire someone to do hair and makeup for myself and some of my bridesmaids and family members. I didn't think I would find someone available with very little time left until the wedding. Mena was super responsive and got my trial scheduled last minute, around my tight work schedule. She was super welcoming from the start, she listened to my vision for my hair and makeup, and the result was better than I could have imagined. She and her assistant made everyone feel so comfortable on the wedding day, and were super flexible with my group of bridemaids and their varying needs. I truly can't recommend Mena enough! Mena was my makeup artist for our 2016 May wedding. Her work was absolutely flawless. All my bridesmaids looked amazing and I was so happy with how my makeup turned out! I would 100% tell any bride to hire Mena! She did a fantastic job on my makeup for my wedding day! We had a trial before and she was super helpful in making the little changes that I wanted for me to feel myself at my wedding. She also did some of my bridesmaids and they looked so awesome! She can do any makeup look you desire - natural, glam, smoky eye! Mena is such a calming presence and such a joy to be around. She was always on time and very flexible with scheduling! Mena and her team were fabulous to work with! Mena is super responsive via email and kindly accommodated my request for bridesmaids and MOB makeup ONLY (I, the bride, had a personal MUA lined up)—she was the only company willing to help us out with that. Her girls did stunning work! The bridesmaids looked gorgeous. They also brought really good energy to our getting ready time. One slight downside: they added lash services for everyone on the day, which I had previously said I didn’t want, and did not double check this with me first. Resulted in having to pay extra afterwards. It was worth it, but I would’ve preferred it be checked with the bill payer first. We also did run a little bit late but that’s to be expected for makeup/hair—make sure you allow lots of buffer time! Very pleased overall and would recommend!
