On Point! Melisa arrives with Professionalism, Beauty, Style, Craft, and genuine love. You tell her the look you’re going for and then she works her magic. The outcome is always incredible. She is just as detailed with the bridal party as she is with the bride. Every face she does hits an all new high. Her work speaks for itself. I felt beautiful the minute I opened my eyes as she held the mirror in front of me. Melisa was amazing. I am not typically a makeup girl but for my wedding I wanted a flawless natural looking makeup look. I searched high and low and even received a few recommendations for other MUA from friends. When I found Melisa here on wedding wire I was intrigued as I loved the flawless and elegant looks that she created. When I reached out her promptness and professionalism sealed the deal. I booked a trial run for my bridal shower and moved forward with finalizing my wedding day look as well as booking her for the mother of the bride and my four bridesmaids. I will never book another MUA as she was absolutely amazing in every way. Her assistant was great too. Book her! You will not regret this choice. -

Best Makeup Artist Ever!
Melisa is a GEM 🥰 a Godsent! She made my wedding day so perfect, from her attentiveness, her kindness and her spirit. She made me feel like the most beautiful bride ever 🥰 Melisa was very welcoming, down to earth and very sweet. Melisa and her amazing assistant Samantha made sure that my bridal party, including my mom were taken care, their needs were met and also paid attention to their makeup preferences. Melisa’s spirit is like no other. She is so funny and has such a great personality. To this day, my bridal party is still on awe of how beautiful they looked and felt. I booked Melisa for the entire day and it was best decision I ever made, as I had a Nigerian and American ceremony all in one day. Make sure you book with Melisa. Melisa has to be hands-down the greatest makeup artist I have ever worked with!! She is so talented and I could not get over how insanely beautiful I looked for my big day. I was super self-conscious of my skin and if I was going to sweat off my make up during the wedding, make up stayed flawlessly intact throughout the entire night. Our guests were saying I looked like I had a filter on my face!! She worked really well with the inspiration pictures, I gave her and made it look so natural with my skin. I genuinely felt like a queen on my big day, which is exactly what I wanted! She is so incredibly talented. You will not regret hiring her for your big day!!

The best makeup artist I could've ever asked for
There's so many great things I can say about MeMa, but I'll sum it up with one word: Stellar. She did my makeup for my wedding and it was far beyond my expectations. She not only super professional, she's so sweet, funny and caring. But the way she and her assistant Sam had me and my bridesmaids looking like goddesses! Nothing can compare to that. Not just that, me and my girls were dancing, crying and sweating and our makeup did not budge. We were glowing all night. No smudge, no cracking makeup, nothing. Our makeup stayed flawless.
MeMa's talent is beyond words can compare. Every face she touches turns to gold. She's the only makeup artist I want to touch my face for the rest of my life. If I can't get a MeMa beat, I don't want it. But seriously, MeMa went beyond my expectations for my wedding makeup and I'm beyond thankful for her talents. Not only did she help with my makeup, but she was helpful with small issues that arose before my ceremony. MeMa's nothing short of incredible and wonderful. We were lucky enough to have Melisa as our incredible makeup artist for our wedding and welcome party, and we can't stop raving about her talent! From the trial to the big day, Melisa worked her magic, leaving us feeling like absolute royalty.
What sets Melisa apart is not just her amazing skills but also the genuine passion she brings to her work. Our bridal party looked stunning, and the makeup held up perfectly throughout the day and night. n(and it was over 12 hours long!!)

Truly don't have enough words to thank Melisa and her assistant Sam for flawlessly executing my bridal party's makeup. The girls looked flawless and I felt like a queen. They move quickly but you don't feel rushed. They chat enough to keep nerves calm and honestly just nail the glam. Two of my bridesmaids commented that this is the best pro they've ever had! I would wholeheartedly hire them again in a second. And yes, it lasts all night and didn't crease!

The Best Choice for your Special Day
Hiring Melisa as the makeup artist for my wedding was literally THE BEST decision I could have made for my wedding day. From our first encounter via email to scheduling my consultation to filtering through different bridal looks to the actual wedding day she was professional, transparent,supportive and a team player! I am not someone who wears a lot of make up on the regular and she truly guided me through the process of choosing the right look for my wedding day.
On the actually day she was timely and prompt making sure me and all my girls were finished with our looks on time (we were 7 in total-yess shes a BEAST) and she made sure everyone was comfortable with their looks and felt their best. She literally was able to flawless transition and provide stunning make up for people of different races, skin types and face shapes like it was NOTHING.
Of course wedding days are hectic but she remained as cool as a cucumber even when some of my family members werent. I was so nervous and she was literally by my side until my first dance retouching me and educating me on how to touch up my look when she left.
As a black woman- it was so meaningful to have another black woman watching over, supporting and championing me on a day that so many of us dream of for most of our lives and want to be perfect.
If i can give any Bridal advice it would be to hire Melisa because she will help make you look your best and add to the magic of your special day.
Also hire her for the additional time! I added it in a couple days before and it would be my number one advice for Brides. Her make up doesnt budge but after the ceremony and all the pictures it was amazing having her there to
retouch me!

Bride experience
I hired this beautiful young lady and her team to do me and my bridesmaids makeup and when I say they exceeded all of our expectations and more 10 out of 10 hands down the best to ever do it 🙌🏽🙌🏽… this was one of the best decisions I’ve made .. I first met Melisa in 2015 when she did the makeup for a wedding I was a bridesmaid in. She was just starting out that at time, and her makeup skills have only gotten better and better since then. I've been following her on Instagram for all these years and promised myself that I would book her if I ever got married. Fast forward a few years and as soon as I got engaged and set my wedding date I reached out because I wanted to make sure I had her booked for my special day. Melisa did an AMAZING job and made me look FLAWLESS! I have never felt so beautiful. I received so many compliments on my makeup and it lasted the entire day and night with no need for touchups! My wedding was planned in less than 2 months and the wedding date according to Melisa's Schedule. Funny enough the wedding date Melisa was available for my 5-year anniversary of my book release date in May 6, 2017, of course Melisa was my MUA that day too. I knew years ago that she would do my wedding and every time I saw her post a beautiful client whether bride, bridesmaids I said to myself she will do my makeup. Melisa (MEMA) has always been professional, kept up with the trends, on time and very personable. She can change your whole mood to Feeling Yourself as soon as she is around. Not only was she my makeup artist but she was my bridesmaid. Her and I have been close friends ever since we met through a mutual acquaintance. She had us all ready and set for pictures with our photographer in time for our robe pictures and to get ready. It was a rainy cold day ALL Day but that makeup did NOT MOVE. The only time she had to retouch it was for my dress change into my traditional Nigerian Attire. I will not lie I kept my makeup on for Days and I am not ashamed HA. Her hands are anointed, she is gifted, talented and a visionary. We did not have a makeup trial because we know she would delivery and I was obsessed with my face it was more than I can imagine for my wedding day. Wonderful Wedding Make-up
Mema is such a talented and amazing make-up artist. I am so grateful to have found her. She initially did the make up for my engagement session and I loved it so much that I booked her for my wedding. She and an assistant did the make-up for myself, 3 bridesmaids, my mother and mother in law. Everyone's make up looked amazing and lasted all day. I had an outdoor ceremony and first look on 5/12 and the weather was unseasonably warm. High of 80. My make-up looked pristine the whole day. Mema was so kind and caring the whole morning. When I found myself stressed about one thing or another, she held space for me and was such a calming presence on the morning of. I am so grateful to her for that. I wanted a look that had a little whimsy but still allowed me to shine through and she nailed it! She also pampered me with a mask and a personalized touch up kit just in case. I used Melissa for my wedding to do my makeup, my wife's and my friends for my big day and she was exceptional to say the least. Dealt with some of the changes we had, was fine with the very early morning start (6am) and slayed everyone's face and kept to the the timeline we had today. I would say book her asap!! -

So, a week before my wedding, with no makeup artist booked, I reached out via email. It was late in the evening, so I didn't expect a response. To my surprise and joy, she responded right away. Turns out my homegirl has the slot I needed to get my face beat on time. She spoke with my friend who agreed to give me her slot, and I was set! Told me pricing, which matched what was on the site, made it easy to put a deposit down, and shared the address of her clean and pretty studio. I felt safe, seen and understood. M did my makeup and my maid of honor's makeup.
She even convinced us to wear lashes. I was skeptical at first, but M was right - the pictures... *chefs kiss*
I received so many compliments about my natural yet glammed makeup that looked so nice with my dress. I felt beautiful and like myself. That was important to me.

My sister recently got married and I was the maid of honor in her wedding. This was possibly the BEST makeup experience we could've received on her big day. First let me point out that the call time was for 5:30am. Melisa and her assistant, Jessica, arrived on time and in a great mood despite how early it was. They made conversations with every member of the bridal party while they did our makeup, and treated us like a priority. You can tell that they genuinely love this work, which is evidenced by the precision and detail they put into it. They spoke with every girl before doing their makeup, inquiring about their skin type and other important details for a flawless finish. More than 15 hours later, and all of the bridal parties' makeup still looked fresh. Working with Melisa is the whole experience. She's not just someone who does amazing makeup, but she ensures that the vibes are good and the energy is lit, even at 5:30am. If you're looking for a MUA, book her now! 💕 -

Perfection
I was a bridesmaid in my brothers wedding. This was my first interactions with Jessica but she was amazing! She knew the color scheme of the wedding but asked if I wanted a WOW GLAM or more of a natural look, which is what I prefer. And boy did she deliver! I felt stunning! Melissa!!! What can I say… she was everything! From her courteous ways, that helped disarm my mother (who is not a fan of putting on makeup) to her flexibility with my timeline — she was my wedding day secret weapon. My face went no where! From the trial, she completely understood that I had no idea what I wanted expect a red lip.
On my wedding day, my groom and I had a first reveal where I cried and even though she was there for touch ups, it was unnecessary. My face was intact— lashes and all.

What’s another Word for Amazing? MemaCreations
I can’t say enough about Melisa but I’ll try to sum it up. She’s an amazing MUA, everyone that seen my wedding couldn’t stop talking about how great I looked. I was floored when she revealed my makeup to me. Not only was my makeup on point, my wedding parties makeup looked just as good. She’s punctual and quick(I couldn’t believe how fast she is) it definitely didn’t take away from the look because her skills are too notch. I already hired her next year for my Vow Renewal. She’s my Go To MUA from now on..
The make up last allllll day and that’s a great thing because I’ve had other makeup that didn’t quite look the same after a couple of hours and she provided me with a lip kit to keep my look even more fresh after I smooched on my Husband.
Lastly, I would like to point out that she’s very patient and I needed that especially since I had to change my event time and location around due to covid. She was very understanding and worked with me. Very Professional! -

Beyond amazing!
I Booked MeMa Creations for my wedding back in August 2020, and I was beyond happy with the outcome of my make-up and my bridesmaids. Because of the pandemic I didn't have time, nor was it possible to do a bunch of trials with different artists. So I had to pray!🙏Pray! whoever i picked would do a great job.. after one trial with her i was convinced and booked. She slayed!! Everyone complemented my makeup on my big day...the make-up stayed flawless through the night..and my girls make up where all amazing! Everyones makeup was perfectly matched to their skin tone. Amazing MUA
I've had my makeup done by MeMaCreations several times most recently for a wedding where I was a bridesmaid. The bridesmaids had full reign to choose whatever makeup look they wanted. Melisa executed a look that matched my bridesmaids out/shoes perfectly. It was bold and sassy. From some one that hardly wears makeup, Melissa made this experience comfortable and fun, and moreover, I didn’t feel like a stranger when I looked in the mirror, just a more glamorous version of me. With the schedule of the day, my makeup was done very early and Melissa had to travel to a couple different locations for our party, but when she came back she made last minute touches and fixes with ease.
I received compliments through out the night and felt beautiful. My makeup stayed perfectly in tact long after my bridesmaid duties were wrapped. Even after the farewell of the brides, my lips were still a perfect hue, without reapplication! I would recommend MeMa Creations with confidence. -

The first few times I saw Melisa post pics of her own makeup I knew I had to have her as my wedding mua! I love vibrant colors and bold looks and if you do too she’s your girl! Melisa was on time for a super early start (6am!) as I had 5 bridesmaids getting makeup and there were two brides! She was very flexible with moving to a second location to do my wife’s makeup as we were getting ready at separate places. She was quick and efficient, but made every woman feel pampered and important. All my bridesmaids loved their looks and the beat was flawless! Where do I begin!!
Melisa was amazing! One thing that I loved about Melisa was her responsiveness. With wedding vendors sometimes people would take forever before you ever heard from anyone. Never the case with Melisa, she was always super prompt and super professional and it always made me feel super comfortable.
During the trial there were several things that I wanted changed. The trial was in February, my wedding in September and she remembered everything I wanted changed on the day of, I didn't even need to mention it. I loved my makeup and I loved that she listened to me. I would definitely without a doubt recommend her. She made me feel at ease and made me feel super beautiful on my wedding day.
Also, I am a crier. I cried as soon as I got to the wedding, through the ceremony, one of the groomsmen gave me a handkerchief. I wiped my eyes with it and my make up was still flawless. Crazy. She also did the makeup of some of our wedding party and they were very pleased. So happy!

After Melissa did my makeup back in 2017, I never let anyone touched my face if it’s not her. Of course for my wedding day, I contacted her 6 months in advance to do my makeup and my bridal party. She was very responsive. My wedding was at 11am and she had to glam 8 people. Melissa started makeup at 3am, time that we agreed on. She was not late, she was professional. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day that I cannot explain the feeling. I heard many stories in the past about brides not liking their makeup, nope that was not for me. Hands down the BEST investment for my entire wedding!
I definitely should've written this review sooner but time got away from me. Melissa is absolutely amazing! I can't stress it enough. She's so welcoming, sweet, kind, and such a great listener and artist.
I am a woman that does NOT wear makeup often. If I do, I prefer for it to natural and "barely there". When I contacted Melissa for a trial, I provided her with reference photos from Pinterest to give her an idea of what I was looking for. She met me at my home and did my make-up trial. She was so amazing. She talked to me about her wedding and asked me about mine. She listened to my concerns and was more than happy to do the makeup look TWICE just to make sure it was a perfect fit for me -- and it was!!!
As for the wedding....the makeup looked even BETTER!! Melissa was so kind to meet me at my hotel super early in the morning to start makeup for me and my bridesmaids. She didn't even do a trial on them. I just told her to keep it simple like me and they all loved their makeup! We got such amazing compliments and our makeup stayed in place the ENTIRE DAY!!!! No touch ups needed for any of us (except lips of course lol) If any of them had any requests for changes, she was more than happy to listen and accommodate them. And if in the wee hours of the morning, she showed up prepared, professional, and ready to make us all look beautiful. We got to know her so well and learned so much about her and her makeup business.

The day of the wedding, she was on time and in a great mood. She had music and great conversation. She did the make up for myself, 2 moms, and 5 bridesmaids. She asked to see my gown and the bridesmaid dresses to help create our look. Everyone loved their face and couldn't stop smiling in the mirror. I was a bridesmaid for my best friend's wedding. Originally we had picked another MUA but unfortunately things were not going well at all, and we decided to cut ties and move forward. I had put the bride through several trials with new MUAs, and found out that Melisa is LEGIT: passionate about her craft, endearing to others, detail oriented, a great listener, and a warm embrace amongst the stress & chaos.
From booking the trial all the way to the day of, melisa was on it. She explained everything thoroughly with me over the phone, through email, and was even responsive to text messages. Her contract is to the point & very thorough. She made sure her clients knew that she was the real deal & was gonna make sure all goes well.
Before the wedding, she asked plenty questions and requested pics of the individuals who needed makeup so she can automatically have an idea or shade matches, so time wouldn't be wasted day of. 🙏 She even encourages those who have their own makeup at home that they like and enjoy to bring it in & she will use it on you. This is GREAT for those with sensitive skin (I brought my own foundation & concealer).
What I appreciated the most was that we had to add people to the list of those who needed makeup done, and even had to change hotel venues at the last minute, and Melisa was so accomodating.
We had about 10 or so people who needed makeup done & completed by around 1pm, so we began at 5am. Melisa was already in the hotel lobby ready to work by 450am. She worked alone too without assistance!! She works quietly and efficiently with all her professional supplies by her side. She even played a little music to help ease our stress. :) she completed each face flawlessly and in a timely manner, with the bride going last of course.
THE MAKEUP (except the lippie) LASTED ALL NIGHT. I have had my makeup done by several MUA, & melisa was the only one who had my look stay on all day & night. It was amazing.

When I think of Melisa, the first word that comes to mind is gifted. I was already blown away during my bridal makeup trial, but she truly knocked it out of the park with my wedding makeup. She did a fantastic job with my bridesmaids, who LOVED their makeup! Everyone kept talking about how beautiful they looked and how the makeup complemented their dresses. I always knew she was talented but when she single handedly saved my aunt’s wedding day, I realized she’s so much more than a talented makeup artist. The morning of my aunts wedding her original makeup artist was A Wall! We probably called and texted her about 100 times with no response. About an hour later i started to panic. Melisa was originally booked to do 4 guests faces in Brooklyn. By the time I called her she was already outside my mother’s home (20 mins early). I explained the situation to her and after hearing that the bride and bridal party had no makeup her only response was “send me the address and make sure it’s okay with the original ladies I was booked to service”. Understanding of the situation, they all packed up and drove out to Long Island at 6 am! Melisa arrived, set up, and went to work!! She completed NINE FACES (bridesmaids, bride, and the original ladies she was booked for) in THREE AND A HALF HOURS! No bridal trial, no previous meeting or prep and she had no idea what my aunt looked like! My aunt went from being devastated at the thought that she would possibly be walking down the aisle without makeup or whatever look I could come up with lol to literally beaming from ear to ear! When she first saw herself all she could say was “wow”. It was everything she wanted. Clean, natural, and flawless. It goes without saying that Melisa is now the family makeup artist and I have her on retainer for my big day lol. We’re STILL thanking her to this day! She wasn’t obligated to drive 50 mins to Long Island not to mention that morning was extremely foggy, but she did and without hesitation. There’s talented makeup artists everywhere but if you value timeliness, professionalsim, understanding, and an overall light spirited individual...Melisa is your girl!
