I cannot say enough good things about Melissa. She was an absolute dream to work with in every way possible –friendly, responsive, creative, and highly talented.
Every bit of awkwardness we initially felt in taking engagement photos immediately vanished the minute we first met Melissa. Her bubbly demeanor and positive attitude were truly so comforting, it instantly felt like we were interacting with a lifelong friend.
Prior to our wedding day, Melissa sent a clear and comprehensive questionnaire ensuring all important details and people were accounted for. This allowed for a stress-free, smooth, and punctual bridal party and family photo session. The entire wedding day was truly so perfect. Melissa brought such kind, fun, and positive energy that it was honestly impossible to feel anything but pure happiness.
AND THE PHOTOS!! Absolute perfection. Our Sneak Peak photos were available in days, and the full album in about 4 weeks – an incredible turnaround for just how beautiful the album turned out. Melissa is a true artist that has completely mastered her craft. The photos speak for themselves. My family and I were in tears of joy looking through the beautiful snapshot of memories Melissa created for us.
We truly could not have asked for a more perfect photographer to share our most momentous day with. -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Melissa. From our first phone call, she felt like a friend. Throughout our year-plus engagement, we had a new cheerleader making that whole season of life even sweeter.
During our engagement session it was so clear we made the right choice. We were uncharacteristically comfortable in front of her camera, and that was completely reflected in the pictures. She was up for any suggestion we had, including chest bumping in football jerseys, and the pictures just felt so much like us while being stunningly gorgeous.
Leading up to the wedding, she sent a comprehensive questionnaire so she could make sure all our important details and people were noted and captured and she more than delivered in that area.
Then our day was here!! From the moment she walked in she was a ball of happy energy and that energy never wavers. She helped keep the day running smoothly, even with a large wedding party and multiple large families to wrangle.
I am trying to not make this a novel so people will actually read it all, but I could actually write a novel. I adored the photos we received, and the turnaround time exceeded all expectations. So much work went into planning our wedding, we really wanted the day to feel genuine and unique. In my opinion, all the work and care that went into our wedding absolutely came through in our photos and that's what made them incredibly special. Plus they are beautiful. Everyone looks so happy and so natural.
Thank you Melissa for making the best day of our lives even better. We will be looking through our pictures on repeat until further notice. -

Melissa was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond for us. I probably looked at 15 artists’ wedding portfolios and spoke with about 4 photographers and was immediately obsessed with Melissa’s work and her as a person when we met her. It felt like a no-brainer when we finally met her. She has this natural ability to put you at ease and relate to both you and your partner. My fiancé is notoriously known for disliking taking photos and Melissa put us both completely at ease throughout the entire process (trust me, NOT an easy feat). She went above and beyond and took us to such a cool spot in Point Lobos to do our engagement photos and scoped out the best spots for us to go to. She has you do specific poses but then is super flexible if you want to do anything different. She’s also an amazing advisor and let me send her five million outfits before our shoot and is so honest, yet kind with her recommendations. She has an amazing eye and is always willing to share her knowledge with you.
As for the wedding, she was amazing! She was her typical fun and engaging self and we felt like we knew her really well by the time the wedding came around. She knows the most elegant and complimentary poses and edits photos in such a flattering way. She legitimately made my husband and I look about 20x cooler than we actually are. She’s insanely talented and will go above and beyond for you on your big day with her supportiveness, ability to answer any questions you might have, awesome personality and insane talent with photography (and film apparently?!). I highly recommend working with Melissa if you can get in with her schedule! -

I did a lot of research before choosing to go with Melissa. I loved her style and Melissa just has a great personality. She's funny, flexible and dependable and made my husband and I feel comfortable behind the camera. During the wedding, Melissa and 2nd photographer were very professional and sneaky - to be honest, I don't really remember them being around during the ceremony but they got some great shots. Heather Sent on 05/04/2018Melissa was an obvious choice for us when looking for a wedding photographer. We had seen her photos already, and knew we wanted her before we were even engaged. We live in Phoenix and she was so happy to go with us to Sedona to shoot our engagement session, and killed it!! She is so much fun, so talented, and reasonably priced for the wedding industry. You won’t find anyone better than Melissa Ivy!

Naida Sent on 11/14/2017I can't speak highly enough of Melissa. From the first time we met her at Starbucks to our wedding date, she was exceptional with her communication, professionalism and not to mention her quality of work.
We met Melissa at the bridal show, which frankly I barely remember because it was very overwhelming. I thought I wasted my time visiting and got a headache as a bonus. Roughly a few weeks after the show, we got an email from Melissa, we were a bit skeptical, but thought, a meeting would not hurt anything, so we met at a Starbucks downtown. We came prepared with a bunch of questions for her and she was able to answer all of them. At this point we liked what we saw and set up an engagement photo shoot.
Fast forward to the engagement photo shoot, we met at the Boyce Thompson arboretum and had a blast taking photos. When the pictures were done, both I and my now husband were blown away! We both hated having photos taken of us simply because we feel we don't come across great in photos. Melissa was able to capture our love, beauty and happiness in every shot. Everyone that saw our pictures, was in awe of how great the photos were. At this point we knew we had to have her shoot our wedding!
For the wedding, my husband and I had the bright idea to climb some rocks and take our photos at the mogollon rim overlooking Sedona following our wedding. Melissa was not only ok with it, she loved the idea! I was afraid she would think we were crazy. The wedding photos from our ceremony, reception and our little outing came out amazing!! We love every single photo! We trusted she was going to do amazing work, but she managed to blow our socks off!! I feel like she went above and beyond what we hoped for and we are extremely grateful for that. -
