Working with Meagan Hilss Events was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding! We hired her for partial planning, and our only regret is not hiring her sooner for the full wedding planning package!
Meagan’s attention to detail, creative vision, and calm demeanor turned what could have been a stressful planning process into an absolute joy.
From the very first phone consultation, I knew I wanted to hire her. Meagan took the time to truly understand our vision and brought it to life in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, from the table arrangements to the seamless timeline. She worked tirelessly behind the scenes, ensuring everything ran smoothly so we could focus on enjoying our day.
Meagan’s network of vendors is unmatched, and her recommendations were spot-on. She has an incredible eye for design and a knack for making even the smallest moments feel magical.
What really sets Meagan apart is her personal touch and dedication to her clients. She went above and beyond to make sure our day was exactly as we dreamed—and more. When I ran into a few hiccups with printing our table numbers, Meagan came to the rescue on the day of. She not only printed and cut them for us but also added extra decor items and candles to bring our vision to life, all without charging us extra for renting her supplies. We truly felt like she cared about us and our budget!
We couldn’t be happier, and we owe it all to Meagan and her husband, Mike! Thank you for giving us a day we will cherish forever!

Meagan is the BEST. We could not have asked for a better wedding planner! From the moment we started with her she was incredibly involved, organized, and knowledgeable, making the entire planning process feel so smooth. Meagan has great taste and an eye for design, she helped me bring my Pinterest vision to life in an even better way than I could have ever imagined!
We felt guided every step of the way, always taking the time to explain options and help us make the best decisions for our vision. What really stood out was her positive attitude throughout the entire process and she was always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy with our choices.

We couldn’t have asked for a better planner for our intimate civil ceremony celebration. Meagan made the entire process seamless and stress-free from start to finish.
She coordinated everything, from the courthouse schedule to an intimate dinner and styled shoot afterwards. All of the details were *chef’s kiss* and made a special day even more memorable.
We highly recommend her for all celebrations, whether small or large! We are extremely grateful to have had Meagan bring this day to life.

Megan is the absolute best wedding planner!!
Megan was the absolute best! She was on top of everything and was so wonderful to work with. Professional, kind and helpful! She helped keep us on budget and kept us up to date on any changes. She made the wedding day absolutely perfect! My son and his wife didn’t have to worry about a thing! I will hopefully get to work with her again when my other kids get married. The BEST decision I ever made
I cannot say enough amazing things about Meagan! She was a complete dream to work with. From start to finish, she was the most thorough, detailed, and incredible wedding planner I could have ever asked for. She completely put my mind at ease throughout the entire process, always staying one step ahead with multiple solutions to any little hiccup that came up. Her positive outlook and resourcefulness made me feel confident that everything was in the best hands… and it truly was.
Our rehearsal ran so smoothly under her direction… it felt effortless because she had every detail accounted for. On the wedding day, everything went flawlessly. If there were any issues, I’ll never know, because Meagan took care of absolutely everything behind the scenes. All I had to do was enjoy the best day of my life.
My venue was at La Jolla Cove Rooftop, which is a “Wedgewood Weddings” venue. Had I relied only on Wedgewood, I would have been completely lost. If I didn’t have Meagan, my wedding would not have been as beautiful and smooth as it was. Meagan made my wedding dreams come true, and I cannot imagine the day without her. She is truly the most knowledgeable, resourceful, and professional planner I’ve ever encountered.

We don't have adequate words to express our gratitude for Meagan’s impact and leadership planning our wedding, but reflecting back on the thousands of messages and calls we exchanged over nearly 18 months of planning work, we absolutely could not have pulled off our vision without her. Meagan is indispensable! We are so lucky to have found her serendipitously through friends shortly after our engagement. From our first consultation, we knew she could do anything she put her mind to - and our journey was not an easy one! In the midst of several curve balls, Meagan kept us on track, organized, sane, and reassured every step of the way. The thoughtful touches she added, always being several steps ahead, made our experience even more successful and special (delivering home-made biscuits and a bottle of bubbly on our wedding day!). In addition to our wedding, it was genuinely such a pleasure to get to know Meagan and her amazing team. We can’t recommend working with her enough, and know she will continue to make big things happen! Thank you endlessly, Meagan! It was the best weekend of our lives.

We hired Meagan as a partial planner for our July 2025 wedding in Carlsbad, CA, and it was truly one of the best decisions we made. Being from Northern California, planning from afar posed some challenges, but Meagan made the entire process feel manageable. She is incredibly attentive and thorough—carefully reviewing contracts, working within budget, and going above and beyond to bring your vision to life. Her communication skills, professionalism, organization, and unmatched attention to detail gave us confidence every step of the way. We were both a bit naive going into wedding planning (for example, we booked our venue before ever seeing it / hiring Meagan). However, every time we felt overwhelmed, we'd tell each other, "Meagan's got us." And she did! With a sizable guest count of about 170, we expected some logistical challenges, but our rehearsal and wedding day ran seamlessly thanks to her well-crafted schedule. She ensured we had time to enjoy cocktail hour, eat our meals, and dance the night away—things we had worried might be lost in the busyness of the day. Wedding planning can be daunting and time-consuming, but Meagan’s expertise turned it into an enjoyable experience. We would recommend her in a heartbeat to any couple looking for a dedicated and passionate planner. You will have zero regrets hiring Meagan Hilss Events for your wedding or event. Meagan is a literal angel on earth!
We hired Meagan as our Day of Coordinator (6 weeks prior to our wedding date) for our NYE wedding and she killed it! I find myself to be extremely detail oriented and type A so naturally I was nervous finding someone that I felt shared my attention to detail and also nervous handing over my carefully curated wedding plans to someone else. From the first phone call through the various meetings Meagan put my mind at ease. She knows every question to ask to help nail your timeline down to the minute. She came up with a ton of creative and fun ideas to make our day even more unique and special. She was assertive enough to manage our bridal party of 20+, but still so kind to everyone the entire time. She came prepared with backup decor, and anything we would have needed.
I was able to fully relax through our rehearsal and wedding knowing Meagan would handle it and she did.

Meagan was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she was a lifesaver—making the entire wedding planning process smooth and stress-free. We had a very specific vision for our venue, caterer, and florist, and she truly went above and beyond by researching and finding vendor options that perfectly matched our unique style.
We didn’t know much about weddings, but Meagan guided us every step of the way and kept us on track with all our deadlines. She was always available for a call, super organized, and so sweet—like having a friend who’s also a wedding expert. She saved us so much time and money, and we honestly couldn’t have done it without her.

Meagan went above and beyond to make our day as seamless as possible. She is superwoman! So prepared, professional, and committed to her job. Meagan is a straightforward communicator and helps dreams become a reality. She level sets on expectations and helped me understand all that goes into wedding planning (a lot!) Words will never be able to express our gratitude for Meagan in our wedding planning journey. From our first phone call, we knew she would be a perfect fit for us and match my own type-A energy. She went above and beyond to make sure that our vision truly came to life, including my excessive amount of personalized items and DIYs. There are several specific challenges to having your venue be a family members property, but Meagan bypassed all of them and fulfilled our needs with ease. She even helped manage the situation when our dog stole a block of cheese from the appetizer table! She is not only is a great person and a phenomenal wedding planner, but she also managed to capture my most favorite content from our day, our dog being the ring bearer! Best thing you can do for your wedding/event!
Hiring Meagan Hilss for my wedding coordinator was the best decision we ever made. When I say Meagan goes above and BEYOND- I MEAN IT! This girl does it ALL, she does not skip a beat. Detail oriented doesn’t even begin to describe Meagan. She truly dives into the smallest, intricate details that you would never even think of as a bride. She was excellent at communicating and had a running timeline that we would tweak together as the days got closer to the wedding. This gave me such piece of mind. I felt like every single thing I ever relayed to her was never, ever forgotten or brushed under the rug. In fact, it was probably written down in alphabetical order and color coded!!! I’m not kidding you when I say Meagan was the reason my wedding turned out so perfect. She absolutely crushes being a coordinator. I had the incredible privilege of working with Meagan for my recent wedding, and I can confidently say that she is on her way to becoming one of the most phenomenal wedding planners in the industry. Though relatively new to the business, her talent and dedication are beyond impressive.
From the very first meeting Meagan displayed a level of professionalism and enthusiasm that immediately put my husband and I at ease. She listened attentively to our ideas and preferences and helped make our dream a reality.
One of the most remarkable aspects of working with Meagan was her impeccable attention to detail. She left no stone unturned when it came to planning and executing our wedding day.
