    Truly a magical wedding

    Great food, venue, service, everything. My wedding was so perfect and well orchestrated thanks to the mayfair house. I am so thankful i had such a beautiful venue and such a wonderful team.

    Breathtaking venue!!

    The Mayfair was an amazing choice for our wedding reception! The food was exquisite, everyone loved the Filet Mignon and the Salmon that was served, and of course all my guests were huge fans of the open bar. I must say that Matilde Campo, our wedding coordinator provided by the hotel, did such a magnificent job; she’s probably the most caring and helpful person that I met through this wedding journey. Having Matilde on my wedding day took such a huge weight off my shoulders, I was able to relax during my special day thanks to her!

    AMAZING! You HAVE to check this place out!

    I had my wedding on 2/26/2021 and wow wow wow. I cannot say enough great things about this venue space. First of all, the pricing here is amazingggg cheapest I was able to find for a venue space without sacrificing quality. I stayed UNDER my budget! Matilde was also super accommodating and worked with us a lot. I held both my ceremony and reception there and it was just such a beautiful wedding. The ceremony was held in the palm terrace and it had an outdoor feel, but it was covered. This helped my guests feel safe with the COVID concerns and didn't pose a threat with Miami's unstable weather. Our cocktail hour was on the roof which provided added comfort for our guests and a breathtaking view! We had our reception in the Havana Room which was awesome for the intimate and romantic feel we were looking for (we had 50 or less guests at our wedding). The food was delicioussss and everyone had a great time. I am so grateful I found this place I can't stress it enough. This is such a great option if you're looking for something beautiful yet budget friendly.

    Excellent Food, Ambiance and Staff

    The food, the staff and the ambiance were perfect. Highly recommend this venue for a wedding. Especially given the numerous outdoor options while COVID is still a concern. Originally, our wedding was booked on a cruise but we had to reschedule and could not be happier with the result.

    Matilde Campo and Kristina will help you put the wedding of your dreams. My wife and I would call Matilde at all hours of the day and she quickly responded with a genuine smile on her face. We never felt like we were imposing despite the fact that we were.

    This beautiful hotel has a stunning atrium which was perfect for our rehearsal dinner and first look. Our reception was on the gorgeous rooftop, with a picturesque view of Biscayne Bay, that made our guests very comfortable. The hotel has a ton of character and is maintained well. Greg and Robert, at the front desk, were very accommodating, assisted with all of our needs and went above and beyond.

    The Mayfair is a dream! Wonderful venue!

    There's not enough good things I could possibly say about the Mayfair. What a beautiful venue, what exemplary customer service, and what a way to turn the wedding of my dreams into a reality. I was affected by the pandemic so I had to postpone my wedding. My previous venue could not accommodate the new day I wanted so Matilde reached out to me after I reached out to multiple venues and told me they would be able to accommodate my date for November 7. My special day turned out so much better than I originally planned. The appetizers and food was phenomenal, the cocktail hour and reception was an absolute success. Matilde will go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure your day is memorable. She even looked out for weather reports and made adjustments to make sure we stayed dry. They do so much to make sure you're happy. I recommend them without hesitation. The wedding weekend was one I will never forget. If you're hesitant, don't overthink it and just book them. You won't regret it. I love this venue so much and Matilde will take care of you!

    Very nice experience

    Matilde is sweet and very professional. She is dedicated to her work and the other people that work in the hotel really made us feel welcome.

    Our wedding like many others did not go without some things going wrong. Yet, Matilde did everything in her power to make things easy and better.

    The personnel, from the valet parking to the front desk and room service are very professional and helpful.

    We are glad we choose this venue to celebrate our wedding.

    The Mayfair will forever be our spot!

    A huge thank you to Matilde and her venue team at The Mayfair Hotel at Coconut Grove. We hosted our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at The Mayfair and had the absolute best experience. From wedding planning the months before, our wedding tasting, the service at our reception, the food, the venue set up, EVERYTHING was a dream come true for us and was flawless. We truly loved our experience at The Mayfair and we cannot thank Matilde and the team at The Mayfair enough. We 10 out of 10 recommend this venue!

    Finally able to enjoy

    Matilde Campo in the catering department was absolutely amazing. She helped us to plan our day after brunch for our wedding.

    I got married in December and it was a whirlwind of experiences which were not all great. Many who we had dealt with in regards to our wedding had been absolutely horrible! Our (offsite) venue staff was a nightmare. Making a stressful time more stressful. It just seemed like no one wanted to provide that "magical experience".

    However Matilde was one of the exceptions, making the entire process super easy, even when I couldn't confirm right away on dates or numbers. She was helpful in relaying information and never pushy or annoyed. Interactions with other vendors sometimes left me in tears, and I was never excited to work on the details of planning. Matilde was the one vendor I looked forward to interacting with and afterwards even felt calm and excited! The exact way a bride is meant to feel.

    Beautiful Location - Lovely Staff

    Kristina at the Mayfair was truly wonderful to work with. She was knowledgable and responsive. The package there makes wedding planning very easy - and I should know, I planned the wedding in a very short time period. Their trusted vendors were professional and everything came together perfectly. I'm so glad I chose to get married in this beautiful setting.

    Beautiful Hotel and Amazing Service

    I decided to have my wedding at The Mayfair not only because of its great location but also because of how unique it is. I am from out of town and had an amazing experience with Matilde and the rest of the hotel staff. Matilde did an AMAZING job taking care of all of our questions and needs. I was extremely pleased on the day of the wedding with how she took care of every single detail. She is extremely organized and a very pleasant person to deal with. Not only was the service my guest and I received amazing but the food was delicious. Most of our guests flew from out of town and everyone had an amazing time and loved the location of the hotel because there is so much to do in Coconut Grove. I would definitely recommend the hotel and Matilde. She is awesome.

    The best day ever!

    I cannot say enough as to how amazing it was having my wedding at the Mayfair! The hotel is amazing on its own, but everyone who works there just made it such a wonderful experience for us! Matilde and her team were exceptional and helped us every step of the way.
    I highly recommend The Mayfair Hotel and Spa for any event, but especially a wedding.

    Best decision ever!

    We highly recommend having your wedding at the Mayfair. It could not have been more perfect. The space was gorgeous, the food was delicious, the hotel was so comfortable for our out of town guests (and local family that just wanted a staycation) and Matilde was the best day-of coordinator any bride and groom could ask for. I cannot thank her enough for making our day run smoothly. We are so happy we went with the Mayfair. Best decision ever!

    Amazing Gem

    We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Mayfair Hotel. The venue's beauty complimented the simple yet elegant theme we desired for our wedding. More importantly, the staff and coordinator, Kristina Yepes, did an amazing job accommodating us and meeting every need/want requested. We are beyond thankful to have selected the Mayfair for such a special occassion in our lifetime.

    A Fantastic Experience from Start to Finish

    My daughter's wedding at the Mayfair was amazing! The Atrium was a beautiful setting for the ceremony, and the Sunday brunch that followed was delicious and abundant, with something for everyone. The package included linens, chairs, and the wedding cake, which made the planning easier. And Catering Sales Manager Kristina Yepes was extremely helpful and very accommodating throughout the entire process, going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Out of town guests stayed at the hotel (with a special rate) which made things very convenient for them.

    Matilde is truly World-Class!

    We booked a group of about 140 from all over the world, particularly Nigeria. We were confident that this was the right location for guests to enjoy an upscale, historic South Florida Hotel. The result was absolute magic! The hotel is centrally located in Coconut Grove, a bayside community south of Miami, so there is a lot for guests from out of town to enjoy.

    What particularly stood out was the heightened level of service offered by the staff at the hotel, all led by the fabulous Matilde Campo. We can't thank her enough for her attention to detail, and leading her group of professionals to offer seamless, professional service from start to finish. The guests arrived from the ceremony, and were guided upstairs to an interior space. This wouldn't have happened without Matilde's guidance. I say this because the couple originally wanted the cocktail hour in the atrium area. Matilde advised that the temperature would be a little warmer than average, as Florida can deliver some hot weather. We all truly appreciate her attention to the guests' comfort throughout their stay, and during the actual event itself.

    Now, down to the food and beverage. EVERY DISH WAS SPOT ON DELICIOUS!!! Their mediterranean salad has to be the best salad I've ever had. The guests are still commenting on how wonderful the food was, and I have to agree, we chose the best!

    Matilde even ensured the welcome bags (which weren't retrieved by the guests upon arrival) were moved to be retrieved upon guest departure. The couple worked very hard on these, and we all truly appreciate the efforts made by Matilde and staff to make this happen!

    Thank you Matilde for all of your hard work, we truly appreciate you, and everyone at Mayfair for making this a huge success!

    Magical wedding

    We went to visit different venues but since we got there and met with Matilde Campos ( Event coordinator) it was a total YES ! She was absolutely amazing , understood us and even give us advise ....the hotel is gorgeous from the ceremony , cocktail and reception ....food was delicious , service was great.... they did everything to not inly make us feel special but also to share the same feeling toward our guest....it was a magical weekend ....it was a love affair weekend ....Matilde was not only our hotel and event coordinator she was there with us all the way ....to the point that she is now part of our family ....she was essential in the magic and success of our special day ! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

    Amazing Wedding Experience

    We had our wedding in January 2019 and cannot recommend this venue enough! We had the ceremony, cocktails, and reception all there (in three different spaces) and each one was wonderful. We also got ready there and stayed 3 nights. I don't have a single complaint. Matilde was great to work with all year leading up to the wedding, but really wowed us on the day of the wedding - she took care of every detail and allowed us to just enjoy our day. The food was amazing, the service was excellent. Highly recommend the Mayfair for any event and recommend working with Matilde - she's awesome.

    Great location for a special event (specifically a wedding)

    My review is kind of long but to sum it up I give this place two thumbs up and an A plus. Having our wedding at the Mayfair Hotel and Spa was the first decision we made about our special day (before picking a date, color scheme, my dress or anything else). I have to say it was among the best decisions and definitely got us started on a great note. Below are just a few highlights and points I want to make: I believe there is more than one sales manager assigned to a given event but we were fortunate to have Matilde. She was pleasant and professional the ENTIRE time, from the moment we went for a tour to the day of the wedding. When we went for a tour she provided all sorts of information but was not pushy at all (which I appreciated). She maintained good communication throughout the process, also she was kind enough to make a small accommodation for my mom (mother of the bride) which I know helped make the night even better for my mom. The day of the wedding Matilde was in touch from the morning and as soon as she arrived to the hotel went by to check on me and my team, from there she was very present and beyond helpful!! The location is just lovely. We didn’t have our ceremony at the hotel because we wanted to have it at a church but if that were not the case we would have been happy to have it at the Mayfair. The hotel has an overall classy and distinct style and feel to it. The color scheme is warm and we love it. All over the hotel has very small and charming details. We used the palm terrace for the cocktail hour and the havana room for the reception. The havana room is dark lit, with dark wood, it was great for our small group of 44 but seems like it could easily fit more. We saw the ballroom and it was very nice too, it was just too big of a space for our small group. The waitstaff and bartender were fabulous. A couple of the guests commented on how helpful they were, much appreciated. The food was delicious! A concern when planning my wedding was the food, with this hotel however it was not an issue. Prior to the wedding, during the food tasting, I felt pleased with the food options offered. Although everyone has a different preference regarding food (a small concern I had regarding my guests enjoying the food) it was a success! I had several guests mention how much they truly liked the food (one person even ate her salad and her guests’ salad even though she usually doesn’t eat salad; even the salad they offered was unique and tasty!!) After considering several different types of venues this is the one that we felt was right, thankfully everything worked out from there!

    Beautiful Wedding Venue

    We had our wedding at the Mayfair a few months ago, and it was nothing short of perfection. As a no-fuss bride, I wanted the process to be simple but the outcome elegant/tasteful, and our coordinator Matilde Campo made that happen. We met a few times to talk through big-picture plans, as well as sent a few emails back and forth to go through the details, and things couldn’t have gone better on the night of. If I had to pick one word to describe the outcome, it would have to be magical.

    Loved every minute!

    LOVED EVERY MINUTE! We had our dream wedding at the Mayfair. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the planning process with the hotel is so easy and worry-free. We had our cocktail hour on the rooftop and the reception in the crystal ballroom. Our wedding coordinator was Matilda who kept everything amazingly fine and everything came out so beautiful. When we arrived at the hotel everything was PERFECT! Thank you so much to Matilda and the Mayfair for the most amazing and beautiful memories I could have ever hoped for!

    The Mayfair Hotel and spa was great! Kristina made our wedding go so smooth, she was on top of everything and was very responsive. Took care of everything and made me the happiest bride! She even replied to all my guests when they had questions and the stay at the hotel was also amazing!

    My husband and I had our wedding at the Mayfair last month, and now that the craziness of the wedding planning as come to an end, I decided to sit down and tell the world what an amazing experience we had with the Mayfair.
    When I was "venue shopping," I encountered so many issues just because I simply couldn't find a venue that had everything we wanted. I seriously felt so defeated because we visited so many different venues in Miami trying to find the one we truly wanted.
    The moment I stepped into the Mayfair I was blown away. I remember thinking that I couldn't believe it had taken me so long to find this place. The venue itself is gorgeous, it offers completely separate rooms for ceremony, cocktail and reception. Let me start off by saying that from the moment that I contacted The Mayfair, Kristina Yepes, which was my contact, was soon helpful and responsive. She was truly a blessing because everyone knows that planning a wedding isn't easy, but when you have someone like Kristina who truly answers all questions and is so helping and responsive ALL THE TIIME, it truly makes your experience that much better. I can say that she truly made my wedding preparation effortless with all of her help and assistant, and for that I am truly grateful.
    The day of the wedding was completely AMAZING! I can't say it enough; everything was just perfect. The execution of everything was beyond amazing and perfection. The area where out ceremony took place was beyond beautiful, and after it was decorated with all of our florals, it was even more than I expected. The Mayfair was extremely accommodating in allowing us to take pictures at the rooftop, which happens to be where we took my personal favorite photo of the night.Kristina and the Mayfair are definitely beyond amazing and will make certain that your day is everything you want it to be if it is in their hands to do so. Oh, and the tasting is the best; food was phenomenal! I truly recommend the Mayfair! Great experience!

    We had such a beautiful wedding at the Mayfair. We would highly recommend this venue and its staff! Our theme was Vintage Havana and the lush indoor/outdoor worked perfectly with our theme. We had most of our guest list travel from out of state and could be accommodated in the hotel. We loved working with Kristina- she was responsive, professional and was there every step of the way (we couldn't have done it without her). Aside from the incredible staff we had numerous compliments about the food, it was delicious. We were so happy on our special day and you will too!

    The Mayfair Hotel is beautiful place to host your wedding!
    My Husband and I are so happy we made the choice of choosing the Mayfair as our venue! From the first time we walked in we were grated warmly by Matilda and everyone else in the hotel. Matilda was one of the reasons our wedding was so successful and she was there every step of the way making sure everything went smoothly and she made every step seem easy. The wedding package also came with a lot of perks and things I didn’t have to look for elsewhere. Everyone was super accommodating and you could tell she has so much experience when it comes to weddings and event. The food was delicious, and the drinks were well made. Everyone went above and beyond t o make sure our special day go perfect, including Hugo, another event manager who was there during the wedding checking in on us. We even chose to have our rehearsal dinner in the rooftop pool area with a beautiful Miami sunset behind us, and great food. If I had to do the wedding again I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you to the Mayfair and their amazing staff for an unforgettable wedding.

    Kristina our wedding coordinator was superb. Very helpful and worked with us on every detail. The only sad part was we had to cancel our original wedding date and reduce our head count so we lost the our free 1 night stay. But that wasn't their fault. The only part that was a little less than accommodating was the room they put us in had a bad mold smell. I recommend no matter what the party size, they reserve certain rooms for grooms and brides & always have those blocked in advance. Everyone loved the steak! I don't eat beef but my asparagus were perfectly prepared.

    The Mayfair is such a beautiful and unique venue. After walking through the hotel, I immediately knew it was the right place for my wedding. I wanted a venue that I did not need to add a lot - being that I booked it with just two months till the wedding. One of the great perks of the wedding package here is it comes with a day of coordinator. Kristina was amazing. She always promptly responded to my questions/emails and made sure everything was ready for the big day. The day of my wedding could not of ran smoother. It is not a high traffic hotel which is nice for privacy throughout the wedding. The food is great! The venue comes with almost everything you need on your wedding day. I only had to book a DJ, Photographer, make up/hair and Florist outside of the wedding package. I used the hotels recommended vendors which were great! My other favorite thing about the venue was the honeymoon suite we stayed at the night of our wedding. It was very convenient to just leave the party and go up to our suite. I can easily say my wedding day was perfect. I would highly recommend this gorgeous hotel to anyone looking for a venue in this area.

    My husband and I got married at the Mayfair February 2018. I would recommend this venue to everyone! After months of research, we found the Mayfair and fell in love with the beauty of the hotel. Not only is the hotel wonderful, but the staff is INCREDIBLE! Matilde Campo was our coordinator and I cannot say enough how grateful I am to her for making our wedding so special. Matilde answered my many phone calls and emails and always put me at peace. The day of the wedding, she did not miss a single detail! She is so professional, patient and understanding. Everything was so beautiful and organized. I never imagined how beautiful everything was going to turn out. The food was also incredible! So many of our guest complimented us on the food, staff, and elegance of the place. If I had to choose again, I would definitely choose them all over. Thank you Matilde and the wonderful staff at the Mayfair for an unforgettable night!

    Kristina the Catering Manager was outstanding! She helped with every detail and kept us calm the day of the event knowing she had it all under control. My daughter had the wedding of her dreams! Since she was a teenager she said the day she got married she wanted her wedding to be at the Mayfair...it met all her expectations and her dream wedding became a reality.

    Held my wedding reception at the Mayfair on January 27th. The service was top notch and the food was out of this world delicious. The best part of my experience was Matilde Campo's professionalism and detail to my needs. Will definitely be coming back!

    My daughter got married on 2/3/18 and had her reception at the Mayfair, The hotel was beautiful the people were amazing,especially my weeding coordinator Matilda Campo.
    Me and family members and my friends that were invited to my daughters wedding praised how beautiful the ballroom was and how fantastic the food was. The staff was always attentive to my needs and my guest. Everything was perfect. If I had to do it all again I would choose the Mayfair.

    My fiancé and I were undecided where to get married, until we met Kristina Yepes, Wedding Coordinator, Mayfair Hotel and Spa, Coconut Grove, Florida. From the beginning she made us feel very comfortable and really put us at ease. To be honest once she began discussing what we would get for the investment we were shocked. The Mayfair in and of itself is a beautiful hotel and a Miami landmark. We couldn't believe the choice of venues inside the hotel itself. Let me explain, we had a room for the welcome cocktail, a beautiful location for the ceremony, the cocktail hour on the rooftop, next to the pool over looking the bay, and finally the reception in their gorgeous ballroom. Yes, that is four different locations. I know when it comes to weddings, it all comes down to bang for your buck, and hands down this is it. First of all, I looked at every venue in Miami that a non-millionaire could afford, and second you will not find a more spectacular venue in a prestigious location.

    Throughout the entire process Kristina was very, very responsive. No matter how many or how ridiculous our questions were she answered them with a caring smile. She was very engaged, organized, and detailed oriented. If were overlooked a detailed, she would cover it. A true professional.

    So here comes the big day, Kristina and her team went above and beyond for us, no request was denied and she really made it all work. So if it seems like it all went well, it didn't, it went amazing, and even though it seems like I've said a lot, I haven't even gotten started about how great it was to get married there. On behalf of me and my wife we want to thank Kristina and her team for making our special day wonderful and truly an experience we will fondly remember for a lifetime.

    My experience with having my wedding at the Mayfair Hotel and Spa surpassed every expectation I had! From the very first day, Kristina went above and beyond to ensure that all my questions were answered and that we went over all the details of my wedding. We worked very well together, we discussed my vision, she was able to customize food station menu that reflected our favorite foods. Aside from exceptional customer service, I absolutely fell in love with the venue the second I did the first walk-through. The venue has a lovely oriental vibe that incorporates a lush outside/inside terrace that is the perfect combination for a wedding. The venue included a gorgeous ceremony space with high ceilings, a cocktail hour space and beautiful reception space that highlights a classy chandelier that just added such a nice elegant touch. The day of my wedding, everyone was so helpful and I honestly didn't have to worry about anything - everything went according to plan! I was really amazed how smoothly the whole process was and I have to say I couldn't be more happy with how everything turned out and I highly recommend the Mayfair and Kristina!

    I had my DREAM wedding at the Mayfair this past weekend and can not say enough wonderful things about the entire experience! The entire planning process was seamless. We had both the ceremony and reception at the Mayfair. Kristina and her team were so accessible and attentive to my husband and I's requests and treated our guests superbly. I have not stopped receiving compliments on the food and the overall atmosphere of the event. In addition, we had a large group of relatives and friends staying in the hotel, who were given an excellent rate. I could go on and on. I am so thankful and would recommend this venue wholeheartedly for your special event.

    I started to plan my wedding about two years prior to the big day and the wedding was supposed to take place at jungle island but due to hurricane Irma, the venue had cancelled about two weeks before the big day. I was devastated and it was very stressful. That same day I started to look around online and found the mayfair and called and immediately Kristina let me come in to see the venue and I loved it. I was put at ease with Kristina working with me on such short notice. We got more bang for our buck going with the mayfair because we had an upgraded linen package and the open bar had better quality liquor. Fast forward to our day, the Mayfair had given us a room and my bridesmaids and myself got ready there. The guests that arrived early had an area that they were able to wait comfortably. The ceremony was held in the courtyard and the set up was beautiful. The cocktail hour was great from what I was being told from our guest and the horderves were delicious. The wedding came out beautiful, better than I had expected. Our guest and bridal party were complimenting the venue and food and still are over one week later. We had the lemon chicken, which was very moist and tasty and the mahi mahi, which was delicious with a BLT salad. They also accommodated our vegan and our gluten free guests. I would definitely recommend this place. I am so grateful that we were accommodated so last second and how beautiful it had all came out. Thank you Kristina and other staff at the Mayfair hotel.

    Wonderful Venue and Amazing food.
    I highly recommend The Mayfair Hotel and Spa for any event, but especially a wedding. We got married in October 2017 and I still can’t get over what a perfect day it was. We did the ceremony (in the palm terrace) and the reception at the hotel, and couldn’t have been happier with the venue. Kristina really went above and beyond with our expectations. Every vision we had she made come to life. The venue is gorgeous and is a beautiful backdrop for every picture. The food was absolutely delicious and my guests are still raving about it. It was the best night of our life thanks to everyone at the Mayfair. Thank you to the staff and especially Kristina.

    The Mayfair was the absolute perfect venue for Taylor and I! I chose the venue because of the location, the feel (tropical and lush) and because they simply had the BEST wedding package! We paid per person and it included linens, the cake, champagne toast, open bar for 4 hours, chairs and ceremony fee. We had the absolute best time! Kristina Yepes the Catering Manager was so wonderful to work with; she made everything a breeze and was really accomodating. The FOOD! The food was incredible - my guests raved about their meals which was made me so happy. We also scheduled a brunch for the morning after our wedding and the set up was lovely and the food was delicious. I can't say enough wonderful things about this location! I highly recommend it!

    My wedding was on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Mayfair. The location is beautiful and the ballroom is gorgeous. My guest kept talking about how beautiful and elegant my wedding was. Matilde Campo was my Catering Manager for the Mayfair and she was amazing!!! She is super sweet and everything was as beautiful as I imagined it thanks to her. The guest also loved the Lemon Pepper Chicken, Hanger Steak and the Salad. They raved about the food and venue. Thank you Matilde for all your hard work!!!

    We selected the Mayfair due to it's old Miami charm. We had both our ceremony and reception here. Jason, the catering director is delightful to work with. He and his team, Matilda and Jose, are a joy !. They are efficient and they make sure to cover every detail with you. Our guests had so many great things to say about the food and service. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, nice, and accommodating to our every need. It was a perfect day. I would highly recommend working with Jason and his team at the Mayfair

    ...The only thing I did have a problem with was the group reservation prices that I was offered by the group reservations department. I was told that in order to get a good price on the rooms for myself and my guests that I would have to guarantee 10 rooms a night for 2 consecutive days. I ended up just going through Groupon for myself, my husband, and my parents rooms. Most of my guests ended up staying at neighboring hotels that were offering better deals. I didn't feel that the hotel did it's best to accommodate a client that was already bringing in a good amount of revenue ...sometimes you have to budge a bit to keep customers happy.

    Got ready at the mayfair with my wedding party! I stayed at the parlor suite and it was the best decision ever. The room was very large, I had about 7-8 people in the room and we were more than comfortable. The amenities are great. The room was spotless. Just perfection and a great value if you get the advance booking package. I highly highly recommend this hotel to any bride.

    I would ABSOLUTELY recommend having your wedding at the Mayfair Hotel and Spa. We got married on May 25th, 2014, and we had the ceremony and the reception at the hotel.
    The night was perfect! ALL of our guests kept telling us how beautiful the venue was and what a wonderful ceremony we had.

    Jason (event manager) was simply amazing. He was very patient with us through out the planning. I was completely at ease knowing he was handling every detail.

    The evening was flawless and all I needed to do was walk down the aisle. Our wedding was exactly as we imagined and more!!!!

    I fell in love with the Mayfair on day one. This place has elegance and a very unique atmosphere in comparison to other venues. The venue gave me a sense of tranquility and "zen" feel. We loved the fact that they only host one wedding a day. Steven Bumpus was.. geez.. AHh-mazing to work with! He was always available, very professional, resourceful and made me feel at ease with any of my concerns. Hes been in this field for a while and truly knows the wedding business. He also acted as our "day of coordinator" and it was perfect. Besides the fact that my officiant was a few minutes late (and no, i was not waiting in the aisle) everything ran very smooth. The Food was great! I had a great time and so did my guest. If i had to do it all over again, i wouldn't change a thing and wouldn't hesitate to book here. this place is a must check.

    I had my cocktail hour on the rooftop by the pool and it was beautiful. My reception was in their crystal ballroom and it matched my theme perfectly. The space is beautiful and the staff is great to work with. Their events coordinator, Isabel, is a delight to work with. I would recommend this venue to every bride.

    I cannot express how amazing the Mayfair was for our wedding. The staff was incredible, the food was spectacular (no rubber chicken here!) and the location is the only place in miami to go to if you want a different type of wedding, rather then one that is given from those other cookie cutter hotels that are everywhere in Miami. The architecture is really amazing from the inlays in the wall, to the artdeco Sculptures and fixtures and art nouveau handles. With the recent additions they have also added a modern zen feel only to the lobby which in conjunction to the original architecture can offer you the broadest arrangement of pictures you can ever hope to imagine. Even though the staff had quite a few changes during the year of my engagement it was so worth it to have Isabel at the end. She is the one and only person i would ever recommend to help you with your wedding. A Phenomenal organizer and listener, she really listened to all of our ideas and issues and did her best to make it work for us. Kelly was also fabulous and she really took the extra time to answer any and all of my questions I had. She started in the last month of planning but she is a great asset to what is already an amazing team. But i have to say for the day of you truly are in the best of hands with Jose. He was on the ball the whole time! He really is amazing and I am so glad he was working that day. All and all I had an amazing wedding at the Mayfair and I would highly suggest it to anyone else to go there. My best piece of advice though is go and see it in person the pictures really don’t do it justice :)

    All our out of town guest stayed at the Mayfair Hotel. They hotel was wonderful . They even kept the roof top bar open late for our after party.

    The Mayfair was the perfect venue for our dream wedding! We wanted to have an outdoor wedding, but being in South Florida rain is always a risk. The Mayfair was the perfect combination with it's open air courtyard and glass ceiling atrium. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location to get married. All of our guests loved it. Also, Kristina, our wedding planner was the best! She made sure all our requests were fulfilled and that the day ran smoothly. Our package included the food, cake, linens and ceremony. It was a great value and great quality! We could not have been happier. Thank you to everyone at the Mayfair for making our day so special.

    Our one constructive comment is that the housekeeping was lacking. The bridal suite could have been serviced more thoroughly. Other than that we and all our guests had an amazing weekend!

    Such a great experience overall!

    We had our wedding at the Mayfair in March 2018 and I am so happy with how everything turned out. The venue is beautiful, the food was exceptional, and the staff was responsive and professional. The coordinator for the venue, Matilde Campo, was the most patient, flexible, and amazing coordinator i've ever worked with. I did not have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator, and Matilde put my worries at ease because she took care of any and all details that needed to be done at the venue. She was very open to working with vendors and made an extra effort to ensure everything went perfect.

    The food at the venue was delicious. We had the steak option and a few vegetarian plates for a couple guests. Every single person I spoke with said it was the best they've ever had at a wedding. The plates were also very generous portions, so everyone was happy!

    The hotel was accommodating with any requests I made, and calls to the front desk for last minute things that we of course forgot.

    In addition to the wedding reception, we had our rehearsal dinner at the rooftop bar the Thursday night before. Again, the staff was on top of it and super accommodating to our needs. The food was delicious and the overall vibe was exactly what we wanted. They roped off an exclusive area by the fire place, set up high-top tables, and had staff around to make sure no one crashed our party.. :)

    Overall great experience and would definitely book future events with this venue.

    Our wedding was nothing short of amazing. We got married January 2018 and every detail was perfect. We initially looked at various venues across Miami but after meeting with Matilde and reviewing their packages we knew the Mayfair was the right choice. The ballroom, the service, and their price was everything we could ever ask for and more. Matilde was with us every step of the way and truly outdid herself with the day of coordination. It was a pleasure working with her and we cannot stress enough how wonderful our experience was. We highly recommend the Mayfair hotel and working with Matilde.

    Wow! It's been a little of one year since our wedding 7/23/16 and I still her complements about the food and the venue. Matilde was amazing .. she made my day all the more enjoyable even adding some thing just to spice up the day. I wish I could get married all over again but we only make one vow to God. But our 5 year anniversary we will be right back there same menu and everything

    Matilde was so great. She made my wedding phenomenal every step of the way. We had a last minute timing issue but she made sure to fix it and made it truly the wedding of my dreams. The food was PHENOMENAL! My guests loved it, I am still hearing compliments about my wedding. It is truly the perfect location.

    Amazing! The reason I picked this hotel in the first place was its ambiance, it’s intimate, and just plain out beautiful. I initially worked with Ulla who then went on maternity, and then worked with Michelle Edwards. They were both incredible, I felt really comfortable with both of them and they were really, and I mean REALLY accommodating to my family’s every whim. I also booked them in the beginning of the recession so I was able to get a great deal!

    A great venue in the heart of Miami's Coconut Grove. We looked at venues in S Beach, Downtown and Coral Gables and this had the best ambiance of all of them. Their packages are fairly priced compared to their competitors and the service is excellent. We got numerous complements from all of our guests about the venue, food, service, etc. Ulla (director of catering) is a true professional and very accommodating! She takes a lot of the stress out of the day and makes you feel comfortable with your decisions.

    I highly recommend the Mayfair Hotel as a place for your wedding. From day 1 that we first went to see the place their staff was super friendly, always available and they helped with so much more than just the reception. The place is sooo beautiful!!
    Eevryone in my bridal party loved how they made us feel at home there and every little thing was taken care of so we were sooo relaxed and happy on the wedding day. You pay a little more, but it is worth every penny! Especially for your wedding day - a once in a lifetime event.

    Everything from the first encounter at the Mayfair until our Wedding went perfectly with the assistance of Our wonderful Sr. Catering Manager, Matilde. After traveling to Miami several times to look at numerous venues, the Mayfair made an impact since the first encounter. One day after viewing at least 8 venues we stopped by the Mayfair at an unscheduled time (as I had to cancel my original appt due to a death in the family), from the first moment we approached the front desk and asked to see the venue and explained the situation, the front desk offered my Wedding planner and I a glass of Champagne and offered us a seat while we wait to be assisted. No other venue had even offered us water.. True Hospitality! From that moment, it left such an impression on me, especially after seeing the beautiful space, the original charming details the property has and the Tropical Elegant feel of the facilities, I knew it was our Wedding Venue. Every interaction was a pleasant one. The Tasting went fantastic and the Chef was great!

    The Wedding - Matilde worked with us with every step of the way. She is patient, kind and supportive. a true professional! Everyone LOVED the hotel, the Ceremony area and the FOOD! most weddings people expect the food to not be the best, but I had guests sharing with me the next day how good it was. I was so happy with how everything turned out and they truly helped turn my Vintage Glam Wedding dreams come true!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

    I am so happy I picked the Mayfair as my ceremony and reception venue! The minute I walked inside, I was blown away and HAD to get married there. If you have not been inside, you must check it out! The hotel has so much character and the staff was great! My guests made several comments to me that they enjoyed their stay there. The ladies I worked with there for my wedding were very helpful, kind and easy to work with. The food was delicious! My guests commented on how much they enjoyed their meal. We got a package deal, so there were only a couple of cake places on the list to choose from. That would be my only complaint about the package deals. Other than that, it was easy to coordinate with vendors. If you are looking for an intimate or smaller wedding (around 100 guests), I would highly recommend the Mayfair Hotel!

    I was very pleased with my wedding at the Mayfair. It's a beautiful, unique location and Ulla is a fantastic person to work with. Our photos turned out very dark in the reception room (daytime event) so I would just be sure to ask your photographer to check out the lighting in advance to make sure they get it right.

    The coordinator was amazing. I could not have asked for anyone better or more helpful. She made sure my day went perfectly. The owner of the venue is the one ruining this place for weddings, and making it harder on the staff to provide the perfect wedding environment.

    I really enjoyed my experience working with Kristina Yepes. Kristina was very patient and was available when needed throughout the entire planning year. Kristina was also very responsive. The Mayfair Hotel & Spa is a beautiful hotel and it definitely does not have a typical hotel scene. If you are looking to have a different look and to completely wow guests, I would suggest this hotel. The staff were very accommodating not only to myself but with my guests. I would only suggest that Mayfair hires additional staff to take on the weekends when their hotel may be booked to capacity. The food was amazing and literally everyone raved about the food and stated that they have never actually had amazing wedding food. (Side Note: I did have a brunch wedding). The staff ensured that I had everything that I needed on the day of the wedding and I think that is very important to ensure that you are hydrated throughout the day. I do not have any complaints when it comes to selecting this venue as I couldn't have asked for more from them. The only suggestion that I have for future brides is to ask your day of Coordinator to have you look over the placement of everything prior to the beginning of the ceremony but after setup is complete. Mayfair literally schedules wedding after wedding and you want to ensure that things are setup perfect for your day. If this is something that may be a problem for you than this may not be the venue for you. I hope this helped.

    I went with the Mayfair because it was the only place that my husband liked. The Hotel is so lovely you really don't need to add alot of deceorations. The rooms are of course lovely, and the crystal ballroom helps make you feel like a princess. Overall if you want an indoor but slightly outdoor ceremony this is the place to go with.

    2 things: make sure that you let them know not to begin taking apart the ceremony area until after the cocktail hour and that whoever they have a contract with for the cake brings a box.

    This location is absolutely gorgeous for a wedding. It accommodated my 120 guests perfectly. I had the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception there. I love the fact that this is a boutique hotel and did not look like the usual hotels where weddings are held. Matilde Campo was a great coordinator and the food was excellent.

    We would recommend having your wedding at the Mayfair Hotel and Spa. The hotel is beautiful and unique. You really can not go wrong with this venue.

    We got married on November 8, 2014, and we had the ceremony and the reception at the hotel. The night was amazing and everything was exactly how we envisioned it and more.

    The staff members are prompt and professional. Everything was flawless and we got to enjoy our wedding without having to stress about anything.

    Megan was great at handling every detail and dealing with all the bridal craziness that comes in the last couple weeks prior to the wedding.

    My daughter was married in July, 2011 at the Mayfair Hotel. We had a wonderful time. Everything was beautiful from beginning to end. Isabelle the catering director was fabulous. She was very helpful and made our dream wedding come true. July was a little warm for the outside ceremony we chose, but the Mayfair was very helpful in cooling the area. We would definitely do it again at the Mayfair Hotel.

    Very affordable venue for our wedding. The venue is beautiful and I would recommend to anyone with a lower budget. They really try to help you in that sense. Matilde in Sales/Catering was really sweet and was amazing. She recommended the best vendors for our event. The only thing I would say is to book the wedding night in another hotel. I got ready in the same room they gave me for the wedding night and they did not clean the room which was pretty upsetting. Other than that fact, this is a nice place for a wedding.

    In my opinion the Mayfair is the most interesting and beautiful venue in the Grove area for a wedding. The responsiveness of the staff is uneven. We had several staff changes and I had to call the hotel manager. He is superb. If you have a bump, call Mr. Siegel. He truly understands what customer service is about. Isabel Fernandez is also excellent. The chef is outstanding. Where else can you get PERFECT filet mignon for over 100 people? All in all we had a very satisfactory experience.

    My first Sales Coordinator was extremely unprofessional and booked the wrong date. Also the following coordinator didn't even book the honeymoon suite for me and my husband had to argue with them on the night of our wedding - even though we spent over $25K ... Beautiful hotel but too many issues.

    My husband and I chose this venue because we fell in love with the columns and how light it was. The only thing I can say is THANK GOD for my wedding planner because unbeknownst to me, the catering manager Steven Bumpus either quit or was fired the day BEFORE my wedding. I did not find out about this until Sunday morning. Very unprofessional. Be weary of this venue. It may be beautiful but it lacks serious professionalism. Unimpressed.

    I would not recommend the Mayfair Hotel for a wedding. Planning my wedding with this hotel was nothing but stress. They changed the coordinator 3 times in one year! Everytime I had to hunt the new person down to go over all the details again and again. Everytime the new person was missing information or forms for my wedding. Since I had to remember everything everytime I met the new person, some details got left out the day of. Thank God for my best friend being my wedding planner. She had to e-mail them over and over to make sure they had all the correct information and what a mess when it came time to make my final payments. They kept adding everything wrong. I don't know if it was done on purpose because conveniently it was overcharging not undercharging! The day of my wedding instead of enjoying my day getting dressed with my bridesmaid, I had to be running around making sure all my guests had their rooms. They were giving people king beds when they were families of 4 or more and had reserved double beds. Then they wanted to charge an additional fee for getting them the double beds that day. It was insane! The staff was very immature and not professional with my guests. My wedding ceremony and reception came out beautiful because of my planner. The nightmare did not end after the wedding. Two days later I recieve a notification from my bank that the Mayfair hotel charged my credit card almost $6,000...they were supposed to only charge me $59.64 for an extra vendor meal. When I tried to contact someone about this, they were trying to make me believe it was a hold they put on your credit card for incidentals....No one ever apologized for their error or stress that they caused me. I never recieved a phone call for anyone explaining what really happened. Just a warning to anyone having their wedding there...if you pay with a cashiers check before your wedding (which they require) there is no holding time that does not exist and they should only hold a certain amount on your credit card for incidentals (which we signed off for 2 days before the wedding in the amount of 260.00 not 6,000!) It doesn't even make sense that a hold would be made after the event already occurred. I found it insulting that they lied to me. It saddens me that I have such a bad feeling about the place where I got married...I would hate for that to happen to another bride and groom.

    Brides beware! My husband and I booked our wedding a year in advance and had 3 catering directors because everyone kept quitting! We had to explain our wedding vision and catering needs each time we had a new catering manager. The worst part was that things that the first and second guy said was okay to do (like have live music at our cocktail hour) the last manager we had 1 month before the wedding (Matilde) and the general manager of the hotel said was not okay even though everything was already paid in full and verbally agreed upon by the previous people. They also tried to tell us 2 weeks before the wedding that the price per guest was going to be an additional $25..which was nearly $3000! They ended up changing our cocktail hour time and modified the food to "accommodate" us. The day of the wedding they called my fiancé in his hotel room to tell him he was late checking out and charged him a late fee even though he explained the groomsmen were waiting on the limo to arrive! Very unprofessional staff. Horrible customer service! Beautiful hotel and wedding day but not worth the stress! We loved all our wedding vendors except the management at the Mayfair hotel.

    Very displeased with this hotel. We had our room block at the Mutiny, but since that hotel did not allow pets, we had to stay at the Mayfair. The day of my wedding, I went down to the front desk to request that housekeeping come in to make the bed, bring fresh towels, etc. Two hours later, three phone calls, and another visit to the front desk, an attendant finally came. By this time, my bridesmaids were arriving and I was awaiting the hair and makeup team. The attendant was slow and kept stopping to talk about her dogs, pet our dogs, or just kind of look around - completely ignorant to the fact that there were people piling in and something was going on. I didn't watch what she was doing, and she never actually did anything BUT make the bed and bring towels. When we returned to the hotel after our wedding, nobody had been back so there was still coffee in the coffeepot, an unclean bathroom, etc. The manager was somewhat responsive and knocked a few charges off the account, but to be honest, the stay was NOT worth the price.

    For brides who plan on getting ready at this location - the lighting was poor for pictures.
    When we moved outdoors to take pictures, because there were so many weddings going on in that location we were constantly having to move to avoid congestion.

    THINK TWICE ABOUT THE MAYFAIR HOTEL AND SPA IN COCONUT GROVE
    My daughter's wedding was held at the Mayfair Hotel and Spa in July 2013. Unfortunately, the Mayfair did not deliver the "excellent customer service" expected for this “beautiful dream” special life time occasion.
    I was most disappointed when they did not serve the table wine, coffee and tea as allowed for in our contract. Servers refused to serve guests because they did not have a place card in front of them and refused to give other guests their correct meal selection. I was also very disappointed and frustrated when we were instructed to stop playing the music and the lights were abruptly turned on and servers began clearing the tables by 9:50 p.m. [approximately 10 mins before the end of the negotiated contracted time.]
    Without providing a final bill, the hotel attempted to put through three charges the day after the event even though they were aware that I did not receive the table wine, coffee and tea as provided for in my contract with the Mayfair.
    I was completely disappointed with the level of service received from the staff at the Mayfair hotel. I found Jose Rico-Arango’s, Front Desk Manager, rude and condescending. I am of the impression that the Mayfair places very little value on customer satisfaction.
    In my attempt to resolve the issues and concerns, I have reached out to the General Manager, Axel Gasser, who has yet to return my phone calls. I have also written a detailed letter to the hotel outlining the issues referenced above and to date, I have had no apologies from the management of the Mayfair establishment.
    The whole Mayfair process went from beautiful dream to a bit of a nightmare in customer responsiveness. Beware, think twice about the Mayfair. We certainly wished we had!

    If anyone is planning to have a wedding here .... DON'T DO IT! If you DO book this hotel... Please hire someone to track "Lost and Found items" because once you lose it, I promise it will never be found. I do have to give Jose in Catering a thank you for going above and beyond in helping me recover the remainder of our party favor shot glasses, our photo frames, candles and guest book items.

    Staff was unfriendly, unprofessional, and unwilling to help. Reservation numbers were "lost" we were double charges for mini bar items, and things left behind in the rooms and wedding event were never recovered ... And no one wanted to help.
    I was unable to book a block of rooms due to disorganization and miscommunication.... They don't supply promo code ... So booked through expedia. My room was moved due to construction outside that woke me up at 7:45 am.... I could go on forever: just trust me and save yourself the aggravation ... Pick another venue.

    Most horrifying experience

    Whatever you do, stay away from the Mayfair! They cancelled my wedding literally 47 days before my wedding day due to “construction.” The general manager literally said “we thought we would be operational during the construction however turns it out we will have to close the hotel beginning August 1st.” Mind you there was never any mention of construction to the hotel prior to his call, and I was completely blindsided. So what, I would have just gotten the delightful surprise of getting married amidst all of the construction if it would have been operational?! Now I am weeks away from what should have been the happiest day of my life, now scrambling to find another venue! Do yourself a favor, save yourself the heartache and look elsewhere.

    The experience I had with this venue was appalling. On the actual weekend of my wedding, they would not accommodate an early check in, even though I had the bridal suite which means my room was completely different from all others and could have been cleaned first. On top of that, the day of my wedding the Mayfair placed the wrong chargers out after I had purposefully gone to select them 7 months in advance and event sent pictures to them on the table scape I would like the week of the wedding to ensure no mistakes were made. Needless to say, the tables were wrong throughout the reception. Furthermore, there was man inside of the women's restroom that was right next to my reception which completely made every female guest at my wedding very uncomfortable.
    As if all of that is bad enough, I was robbed from a hotel employee in my room and at my reception. My wedding photographer and day of coordinator found a hotel employee in my room right before my wedding ceremony after we gave specific instructions that no one from the hotel staff was to go into the room because I had my dog in there. We later realized my mother's purse thrown to the side and all of her cash missing from it. On top of that, another room I booked for my grandmother was robbed as well. All cash gone from the wallet. At my wedding reception, I had about 3 envelopes of gifts given to me which I had my day of coordinator place in a box with the rest of my wedding décor. At the end of the night, everything was there except the envelopes. My husband and I did meet with the manager on duty and he was helpful in the fact that he refunded us some money based on the situation we had over the wedding weekend but at the end of the day, I have such disgust for the way I was treated throughout the whole process that I wish this upon no one. I would rather have paid double what I paid for my wedding at the Mayfair to have it somewhere else without any stress or theft.

    I wouldn't recommend this venue to somebody I hated. For the money we spent (upwards of $20,000 on the venue and food alone), we could have had a much better experience elsewhere. Working with them for a year up to our wedding was a nightmare through and through. They switched our wedding planner three times and the one we ended up with (the week before our event) was unprofessional and rude. After having a meal tasting and getting menus made for our wedding guests, they served the completely wrong dish at our event. Also, they're so money-hungry (probably since they've had bankruptcy issues in the past) that they scheduled a huge event in the same venue that ended only two hours before ours. How my outside vendors managed to prep a 160 person wedding in two hours was a miracle. A week before the wedding, the cake vendor included in THEIR package called me to inform me that the Mayfair had been delinquent on payments in the past and they had not received payment for the cake I had ordered. Gotta love the bride having to call the hotel to tell them to do their job for fear of not having a wedding cake a week before the event. The hotel itself lost two of our groomsmen's tuxedos the following day and bed bugs were found in the linens of some of our guests' rooms. I have several other minor complaints, but mainly, it's just sad that my wedding experience was so stressful because of this hotel. Overall, I recommend you spare yourself the headache and find another venue.
