Chef Lisa was an absolute blessing for us during our wedding. From the initial call to discuss what we wanted, she helped guide and shape our ideas into a plan that we were excited about. Then came the tasting! She came to our house and served us a sampling of what we could expect at our wedding and the food was amazing! She made the process simple for us. This was one thing, that once we booked her, we didn't have to worry about it anymore. The day of the wedding turned out great! Our guest made many comments about how great the food was! From our very first tasting, we were impressed by their professionalism, attention to detail, and the delicious variety of dishes they offered. They walked us through the menu planning process with patience, making sure every guest — and vendor — was covered. In the week leading up to the wedding, they double-checked all final counts, ensuring nothing was overlooked. On the day of, they arrived on time, executed dinner service seamlessly, and treated everyone with kindness. Working with Lisa was amazing! My husband & I were throwing a party to celebrate the adoption of our daughter and she worked hand in hand with us to tailor our menu to accommodate both children and adults. Additionally, we had a hurricane come through our area that left her and her team without power and downed trees. Despite this, she and her team delivered exceptional food and on time! She was so great to work with and I am looking for anyway to use her services again. The food was amazing and our guests loved it!

Chef Lisa was incredible to work with. She got the details right and nailed it! The meal was delicious and the set up was efficient. She was professional and easy to work with. She was kind, honest and shared her expertise to help us plan the menu. She went above and beyond for our event—even handled a few things I didn’t think about ahead of time. To top it off, her deserts (strawberry pound cake especially) were amazing. We will definitely seek to hire her for any other events we host in the Charlotte area.

We hired Maxwell Catering for our wedding July 2022. Out of the few caterers we contacted from the preferred cater list of the venue, I’m so glad we choose Maxwell Catering. Mrs. Lisa was so prompt in responding to my initial inquiry, she made me feel that our business was wanted. We were sold after our tasting! She worked with my husband and I throughout the entire process and provided excellent feedback to help us select our menu. She even catered to my dietary restrictions. The food was amazing to say the least!! Our guests raved about it for days. She also made our cake. I’ve seen beautiful wedding cakes that tasted horrible, however we didn’t have that issue. We got married on NYE and had Lisa do our catering. For the rehearsal dinner we chose chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and banana pudding. For our wedding day we had a brunch menu with shrimp and grits, hash browns, bacon, sausage, and fresh fruit. She also provided our wedding cake.
Not only was the food delicious, we had people take stuff home because it was so good, but Lisa was awesome to work with.
She worked with us to pick our our menu, the design of our wedding cake and even remembered that I don't like strawberries and made sure to have a fresh fruit bowl that didn't have strawberries for me.
I highly recommend Maxwell catering!

Service was great food was amazing,we had baked chicken and stuffed fish with white wine sauce.. they were both great. A Dream Come True
My son needed me to help plan his wedding. He wanted an intimate wedding with a soul food menu. I did my research and contacted Maxwell Catering. As soon as I spoke to Chef Lisa, I knew she was the perfect choice. It’s a family business. She is professional experienced, creative, warm and caring. Because all their wishes were carried out, the bride and Groom were impressed and pleased. Working with Chef Lisa was such a pleasant experience. She and her family are amazing. They are all professional and warm. Great food, cake, dessert, decorations, creative cake design, and service were provided. I sure wish we could have a “do over”, cause it was one of the best days of their lives and mine. We didn’t want it to end. Don’t hesitate to choose them. You won’t be disappointed.

Not only did Lisa provide an amazing dinner service, but she also made us one of the most beautiful wedding cakes I have ever seen!!!!!! So glad we made the decision to go with Maxwell Catering for our wedding. Lisa and her staff went above and beyond to take care of every one of my wedding guests during cocktail and reception. She also did our wedding cake. I got so many compliments on EVERYTHING! I would definitely recommend them! You won’t be disappointed!

Maxwell Catering was absolutely wonderful! The personal attention to us and what we wanted was amazing. They were willing to work with us on every request me made. The cake was spectacular (we still have guests telling us how awesome the cake was)! The presentation was perfect as well, they matched the theme of the wedding perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for more, next time we need something catered we will be calling them!!!!

I had the privilege of Maxwell Catering doing me and my wife’s wedding on 9/29/18 and it was amazing! My wife still talks about that amazing wedding cake and I can’t blame her I wish we still had some more they made me and my wife feel wonderful and we would definitely recommend them.

We just used Maxwell Catering for our private, intimate wedding a couple months ago. They were on a short list of recommended caterers yet we were beyond satisfied with their service and food! Throughout the process their communication was thorough and timely. We were initially drawn to their sample vegetarian menu, but knew we would want to add a meat option; which was no problem with Maxwell Catering. The staff was so great during the wedding, they remained professional at all times and provided very good service to myself, my husband, and our guests. The bar looked amazing, the buffet dinner went off with out a hitch, and we are getting so many comments about the food. The team was easy to work with and we loved being able to bring in our own custom deserts to match our personality (custom cake for my husband, traditional wedding cake, as well as other little sweets and treats. I would definitely recommend this caterer to anyone who is looking for amazing food, and professional service.

If you are looking for a catering that is cost effective, professional , flexible and has great food then look no further. Rev. Lisa Willis Maxwell is an awesome cook. Her food is always beautifully displayed and the taste is impeccable. This was my first large wedding that I planned and she accommodated the myself along with the bride and groom. She was very flexible with her time and made sure that on the wedding day that she had everything in place and there was no need to worry. She made sure that there was more than enough food for the guest and never ran out of anything. Since this wedding, I have used her for other personal birthday party events. Thanks again Rev. Maxwell for your hard work and dedication.
