Chris was our DJ and I personally reached out to ask if I could write a review for him because from the beginning we were super impressed with his easy going personality and commitment to making this fully customized to our requests but was also very knowledgeable and brought up necessary details that we never thought of which made our day even smoother.
We had a mix of culture at our wedding and he listened to the music beforehand and really got an understanding of what we were looking for. The dance floor was busy all night long and that was such a key point for our big day and I wouldn’t want to work with anyone else. The value, the quality, the attention to detail and the customer service was seriously a 10/10.

Chris with Maximum Groove Sounds (Wedding DJ) was our vendor for our wedding and reception. We met with him prior to the event via FaceTime to go over details and he was receptive and responsive to each & all of our requests. He even was able to provide music that is not readily available (namely, Whiskey Myers music). I could not recommend Chris more highly. He was professional, responsive, and a delight to work with. He made our wedding an unforgettable event. Music contributes to the enjoyment of so many life events and Chris is an exceptional facilitator of that!

Chris did an awesome job all around at our wedding. Several of our guests complimented him and said he was the best DJ/played the best music out of any wedding they had been to! He really understood our preferences while also pleasing the crowd. He coordinated well with us and our wedding planner and everything went perfectly!
There are many decisions to make while planning a wedding, but booking Chris as your DJ is an easy one! Cannot recommend him highly enough.

We found out about Chris through a recommended vendor list from our venue. Normally I would avoid things like that, but we decided to give him a call and feel things out. First off, very professional and personable. He gave us an extremely competitive quote and showed pictures and videos of what to expect. We were amazed with his set up, lights, and everything offered at his price point. We shopped around just to be safe but nothing really came close. He made our wedding amazing with all his prep work, intercom systems for the ceremony, and amazing recommendations of music for our wedding. We could not be happier.

Incredible job and incredible DJ
Chris was amazing! He was extremely professional and went above and beyond. I still have family/ friends telling me they loved the music. Everyone danced all night, which is exactly what I wanted. His communication was excellent before, during, and after the wedding day. He also is very tech savvy and brings out all the bells and whistles for you. He brought up lights that he placed all around the ballroom and really made the ambiance what I was going for throughout each part of the night; Classy and romantic during dinner, and a party during dancing! He can do it all. I had such a great experience and I cannot recommend him enough. Please do yourself a favor and book him!

It was an amazing night!
Finding a wedding DJ that doesn't sound like a typical wedding DJ is a tricky thing. But we found it in Chris and Maximum Groove Sounds. Don't misunderstand me by thinking you wouldn't be able to have a regular wedding experience with them. You absolutely would and he would rock it! But if you're looking for something outside the box, Chris is your man. We threw the most eclectic selection of music at him (from Beyonce and Prince to The Decemberists and New Model Army with some soca, swing and Canadian folk-rock tossed in), and he played it all and kept the dance floor poppin' all night! Every phone call we had with him leading up to the wedding made us feel better and better about our choice and we were confident that he knew what we wanted for our party and that he would deliver, and he did! 10/10 would recommend Maximum Groove for your event!

Luke was very nice and responsive. The wedding went very smoothly. He did the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He set up speakers at the ceremony, and then moved it to the reception area. He announced the wedding party entrance and the different events happening throughout the night. He even sent us some pictures he took of us at the end of the night during our last dance before the sparkler exit. Thank you for making our wedding day so special.

Ice and Snow couldn’t stop the music
Chris of Maximum Groove Sounds traveled from San Antonio, TX to San Marcos, TX during Storm Uri to make sure we had a DJ at our wedding. Sadly we even had to change venues last minute and Chris was very flexible. Chris went above and beyond to follow through with his commitment - by cautiously driving with ice on the roads to the venue and driving through snow on the way home.
If Chris hadn’t been able to make it we really wouldn’t would have been able to pull off our wedding. We’re forever grateful, thanks Chris!

Groom. I danced all night at age 52. The DJ was magnificent the music was outstanding and I just can't say enough about the service.
Our initial wedding was cancelled due to a snowstorm DJ Luke accommodated us the following week without any extra charges or fees he was excellent! So wan the music they had every genre even my James Brown. These guys are awesome!!!

Chris was excellent to work with, he communicated as of as needed, was available for planning, and was on time at the event. The online playlist creation he uses makes it a breeze to pick a set that matched our style. The day of the wedding went off with out a hitch, the jams played all night, the MCing was helpful and not intrusive to the events, and the sound and lighting rig was awesome. I really could not have asked for a better DJ and sound experience. He was perfect at all stages and aspects!

Chris was always very attentive to everything we asked. The client portal is the best method to choose all the songs you want played. He made the wedding flow so well and I’m so happy everything went smoothly! If you need him for any DJ services, he is definitely your guy!!

Maximum Groove Sounds did a wonderful job as the DJ and Emcee for our wedding ceremony and reception. Keep your guests moving!
Chris from Maximum Groove Sounds was amazing! He was extremely responsive, had great prices, and kept guests on the dance floor all night!
I reached out to Chris for my original inquiry and he responded within the hour with the package which he thought would work best for us! He also included information for his lighting services which were a great deal and had our guests raving! His client portal was extremely easy to use to submit payments and manage our day-of playlist, and guests were stoked to be able to submit their song requests! Chris sent us a couple of documents to complete for the ceremony and reception music plans and was well-prepared on the wedding day. He kept in constant communication with myself and my wedding coordinator and was a HUGE help with keeping us on schedule with our timeline. We had a few niche requests for the mother-son dance and our first dance songs, and he was able to mash them up perfectly. My fiance and I were a bit worried about our guests staying on the dance floor, as our wedding consisted of guests ranging from 1-100 years old, but Chris kept everyone moving!
We would definitely recommend him to anyone who is in the market for DJ or lighting services!

After filling out a brief questionnaire about what we would like to have played at our wedding, Chris got right to work! The questionnaire also asks if you have any special requests or mixes that he can prepare ahead of time and I was happy to receive mine in advance to review for the big day. He also set us up for his light package which was well worth the cost and added an ambiance to the dance floor we would not have otherwise achieved. He was very responsive via email and I would definitely use his services again when I have the occasion.
My only regret is that I was having so much fun at our wedding that I did not even get the chance to thank him properly in person! Great service and well-worth the price!

Amazing dj!
Chris Saucedo was our DJ and he did an amazing job. He was open to all my requests, then the day of got a bit chaotic and he handled all our on the spot changes like the pro that he is. We enjoyed having him as our DJ and our guest did too. So much so that after his scheduled hours everyone pitched in to keep him there longer, he did an amazing job. I'm definitely referring him to everyone I know and looking foward to having him for future events.

Chris was very responsive when I had any questions and he answered all my questions. A few days before the big day he called us to make sure we were to go through our timeline and not forget anything. On the day of we were running a bit late at starting and he remained calm and flexible. He kept the party going all night and played all our suggestions and variety of music! All our guests had a blast and 10/10 I would recommend DJ Chris for any event. You get so much for a verb reasonable price, I am 100% satisfied!

Chris was amazing! To be honest I don’t really remember the ceremony part all too well because the nerves! Reception was great he is so friendly and flexible with request and time of events. We got behind on our schedule but he always made sure to double check what we were ready for before announcing. The Correct DJ Choice. Fun, Professional and Affordable
Lots of DJ's out there and it can be hard to know what to be looking for. What you should be looking for is Chris. His equipment is great, he had good fun control of the room and no unwanted suprises. He was dressed professionally in a suit and came prepared. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Chris! He was very thorough and cared a lot about what we wanted. He was so much fun at the wedding reception and kept the night going. Even though I already had a band for my wedding, I also hired Chris from Maximum Groove Sounds. I am so glad I did!. He provided DJ services seamlessly around the band, and plenty of dancing for the end of the night (and all the songs I wanted!). Luke did an amazing job DJing our wedding reception and helpped get people into the kareok.
He also helped us out with our ceremony music when our plans got disrupted. I had an mp3 player for our ceremony and the person that was going to switch from seating music to the precession song was unable to help, but Luke gladly helped us out and operated the mp3 player to change the song for us.
We will definitely recommend Maximum Groove Sounds to our friends

I was very impressed with Maximum Groove Sounds from the start. I contacted him and the very same day he called back and sent a contract. Throughout the whole process I felt very comfortable, never confused on how anything worked. I was able to make my own playlist which was super important to me. A song came on that I might have asked for months prior, but when the event came up, I didn’t want it played and he changed it immediately with no hesitation. I would recommend them.

Chris was absolutely amazing! He worked very diligently with us to find the music that we wanted for our ceremony and reception, even though some of it was out of the ordinary. He had people dancing on the dance floor from the minute open dance floor started, until the very last song. The music he played was so much fun and my husband and I could not have asked for anything more. Our wedding was over 2 months ago, and we still hae people commenting on how awesome the DJ was. Chris was also wonderful about all of our announcements that we needed to make throughout the night and helped make our special night run ery smoothly.

We gave him a few songs for the reception and he created a wonderful playlist that had people coming up to us saying they loved our music. During the dance party at the reception he was able to read the crowd very well and played songs that had almost everyone up on the dance floor having a blast! Chris was incredibly easy to work with and we would recommend him in a heartbeat to any of our friends or family in need of a DJ in the future. Thank you for making our wedding a night to remember!

Chris did a great job at the wedding. He was able to help me edit a song and it sounded great! But, responding to my e-mail was slow at times. He will also be helping out at my step-daughters wedding.

Fantastic Service
In hiring Maximum Groove Sounds, I had the opportunity to work with both Chris and Luke. Chris helped me throughout the hiring process, sorting out what we overall wanted for our wedding, and the website for taking payments and listing requested songs was super easy to use. Chris is so nice and provided perfect service at a great rate. I would recommend him to anyone!
Luke provided DJ services seamlessly and was very flexible and provided us with a great experience. He made sure that both us and our guests had a good time. And he played everything that we asked for. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ.
