Delicious experience

Maucieri's catered our wedding Sept 28th and it was absolutely delicious. We had the maple leaf chicken or bbq beef brisket with garlic mashed potatoes and stir fry vegetables. We had so many compliments on the food served and the staff was so on top of everything. Great experience.

Maucieri’s catered our May, 2018 wedding at Pine Peaks Event Center and everything from our first lunch after our first tour in 2016, to our tasting, to our wedding dinner was delicious! We started out working with Kate as the catering manager and then Tassy took over, both were great to work with! The only note is to triple check what you planned before putting in the final order because some things we talked about at the tasting didn’t get on the final bill. It got worked out the night before the wedding but we cut it close! The food is so rich that we went through all our pre-paid wine before dinner ended but they had plenty of backup so we could keep our guests happy. With their pasta dinner plan for more wine than beer! All of the staff members were great but most importantly, the bartenders, Sonny and Katie, were the best! We still have friends talk about how cool and friendly they were! They felt like part of the party!

They catered for our November wedding and we could of not been more happy with how everything turned out! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was amazing!! They checked in throughout the night and helped to guide us on the best timing for things and how much we will need for our amount of guest when it came to the alcohol we wanted to provide. We were very happy with how everything turned out!

We used Maucieri's catering for a wedding at pine peaks event center, and they are second to none. The staff was wonderful, easy to work with, and very efficient! The food is out of this world! You will never be disappointed in Maucieri's food! We had the chicken Parmesan and stuffed shells with Italian gravy! Everything was cooked to perfection, was delicious, and everybody raved about the food! At the end of the night they made complementary wood fire pizza as for our guests too! They even helped serve our dessert (we brought our own)!

The tasting was great! They had a lot of different options to try. The pesto mashed potatoes were our favorite! It was easy to work with the staff and planning even though they had a change of staff in the middle of our planning. They worked and were flexible with us, answered questions quickly, and were all around great to work with!

We also ate at the restaurant while we were staying in Crosslake and love the atmosphere, friendly staff, but most importantly the magnificent food! You will not be disappointed!

We had our wedding at Pine Peaks Retreat and Event Center on 12/31/16. Maucieri's was great to work with. Kate was so accommodating. I had a dream a family style meal and they don't usually do that but she made it happen and it was awesome! The food was so good and we got a lot of compliments from our guests! Maucieri’s Catering was so much more than a catering company for our wedding. I feel like their motto should be “we can make that happen.” Anything that we asked of Kate and Corey was addressed and taken care of expertly. And I haven’t even mentioned the food! Kate and her team were wonderful to work with leading up to & the day of our wedding, which was held at Pine Peaks Retreat Center on 8/20/2016. We had BBQ ribs & wild rice stuffed walleye, along with blue cheese scalloped potatoes & garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious. Maucieri's also catered our Groom's Dinner the night prior, with a pasta bar. All of our guests still talk about how fantastic the food was!

Maucieri's catered our wedding at Pine Peaks, and did an excellent job! Kate the catering coordinator is awesome to work with - very organized and easy to communicate with. I was really impressed with the staff during the reception as well. They made the buffet style meal go super smoothly for our 225 guests. They were very efficient at the bar as well. They even helped with cupcake distribution. We had the slow roasted beef and maple leaf stuffed chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and green bean almondine. All were absolutely delicious. We got lots of compliments on how good the food was from guests. I have eaten the pasta at the restaurant as well, and I swear EVERYTHING on the menu is delicious! I would highly recommend them for dinner and catering!

From the day we were sent home with armfuls of leftovers from our (delicious!) tasting through our wedding weekend, Maucieri's was wonderful to work with. Kate was super-communicative, friendly and helpful, even making sure we had Smirnoff Ice to dole out after we were Iced at our own head table! She handled our game-day change of our drink ticket rule in stride, and never once added any stress to our wedding. The bartenders and waitstaff did a great job keeping everyone happy, and our guests LOVED the food! I would definitely recommend Maucieri's to any couple!

Maucieri's Catering provided an amazing meal for our Wedding. Kate was very accommodating to our guests needs and worked with us to provide the options we desired for our meal. Our experience with Maucieri's catering was amazing. They were nothing but helpful and answered any questions or concerns promptly and professionally throughout the planning process. We had the maple leaf chicken, slow roasted beef with brandy peppercorn sauce, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Our guests raved about how delicious the food was and stated it was the best wedding food they have had. Kate was incredibly helpful throughout our wedding day and made sure everything ran smoothly! We would definitely recommend Maucieri's to anyone looking for a caterer for their wedding!

I had my wedding at the Pine Peaks Event Center on September 19th, 2015. Maucieri's did the catering for our wedding, and I have to say the food was absolutely phenomenal! Many of my guests commented on how it was the best wedding food they have ever had! And we did the buffet, so the portions were large too! The staff is amazing and really helps you pick a meal that is exactly what you want, even if you have to do a few tastings to find that perfect meal. I could not be happier with the quality of service and food that Maucieri's provided!

Maucieri's catered our wedding at the Pine Peaks Event Center on July 18th, 2015. Our reception menu was delicious! We got many raving reviews of our food. We went with the buffet option where we got to pick 2 meats, 1 starch, 1 vegetable, salad, and fresh bread. We chose slow roasted beef with mushroom demi glase and bone in breaded chicken. The beef was set up on a carving station where the head chef served our guests. Even with the chicken being in a warmer, the breading on the chicken stayed crispy. We also chose the al gratin potatoes, green bean almondine, and ceasar salad which were all delicious. Our family and friends loved the food! Kate, their catering coordinator was so helpful when setting up our day. She answered all of my questions very promptly, had helpful ideas, and was there making sure everything ran smoothly all night. Kate even helped with our cake smash at our reception. Instead of the traditional dollar dance we collected money to see who got the most and they got our cake smashed in their face. Of course my groom was the lucky winner! :) Kate decided that our ice cream cake might hurt, so she gave up a huge plate of whipped cream. She egged me on as I smashed the plate in my grooms face, making a mess on the ground in the process. She laughed and cleaned it up no problem at all. Not every caterer would let you make a mess like that for a few laughs. We had a great night with delicious food and fun!

Finding the right caterer for your wedding can be a daunting task. There are so many different options out there and you want to make sure you have delicious food that everyone is going to love, especially since the food is one of the main things your guests are looking forward to (and that you are paying for!). When we found out that our venue, Pine Peaks Event Center, had Maucieri's as a preferred caterer, we were both excited and skeptical - while we wouldn't have to go through the process of finding our own caterer...what if we didn't like their food? However, once we went there for lunch, we knew we had nothing to worry about - THEIR FOOD WAS AMAZING!! When we returned for our actual taste testing, it was us and another couple. This way, we not only got to try the options that we had chosen, but also everything that they had wanted to sample, including things that we hadn't even thought about. And it all was WONDERFUL! While everything had been great the two times we had eaten in the restaurant, you also worry how it is going to turn out when it is made in mass quantities for 200 some people. But needless to say, when it came to our wedding day, the food was just as INCREDIBLE as it had been every other time. We had guests telling us all night long how DELICIOUS the food was and people are still bringing it up a month later! Another great thing about Maucieri's is that they also provided the bar service for our wedding, which was an added benefit since not all caterers do that.

We are VERY HAPPY that we had Maucieri's cater our wedding - their food was FANTASTIC and our only regret is that we didn't have any extra to bring home with us!!

Kate has bent over backwards for us! The food is one of the most important parts of our wedding and our standards are VERY high. The filet is one of the best I've ever had! The prices are fantastic for the fabulous quality of food! I would have expected to pay much more for what we are getting! Kate walked us through everything... again... and again... and again... She is fantastic at her job and makes the experience exciting with endless possibilities! Talk about customer service!!! 5 stars!!!

We attended a wedding at Pine Peaks Event Center close to Crosslake, MN. The facility was beautiful and Dave and Julie the owners were amazing. The caterer was Maucieri’s catering out of Maucieri’s Restaurant near downtown Crosslake. We visit the Restaurant quite often in the summer months and the Pasta Bar on Friday nights is to die for. All of their food is the best in Crosslake.

I have not witnessed what happened at this wedding ever before as it was an amazing process. What the owners did left the guests feeling wonderful and the Bride and Groom happy about their decision to book Pine Peaks Event Center for their wedding venue and Maucieri’s for their caterer. After the Grand March (and that was amazing) Dave and Julie took the microphone and introduced themselves and thanked the Bride and Groom for choosing Pine Peaks. Dave then introduced the Catering manager Kate and the wonderful wait staff. Dave went on to introduce Chef Brian and talk about his extensive cooking experience. Dave then introduced the menu of a plated strawberry spinach salad, an array of fresh breads, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans almandine, maple leaf chicken, and Filet Mignon. We have never seen this done before and a great way to make this wedding special. This was the classiest wedding we have ever attended with by far the best food served.

Last but not least Dave announced the late night snack would be provided by Maucieri’s and that was Maucieri’s pizzas cooked in Pine Peaks Wood Burning Pizza Oven. What a wedding and what a wedding reception dinner as Maucieri’s catering is fantastic. We got to see Tony Maucieri Sr. working at the Pine Peaks bar and that was a pleasant surprise as Tony is legend in the Crosslake area. Great Job Maucieri’s"

I have been heading up to the Crosslake area since I was a child. There is definitely a plethora of locations to eat, but if you’re getting sick of the mediocrity of pizza and burgers, Maucieri’s is the place for you. They not only offer some of the best food in the area, but they can cater for your wedding or event as well.

Italian cuisine was an amazing surprise for our wedding. Not only was the food fantastic, but the entire process of choosing meals was an equally wonderful experience. Maucieri’s was extremely cordial through and through. The food tasting was especially lovely; they made us a multitude and variety of dishes, helped us pick and choose what we wanted and gave great insight and knowledge as to what foods complimented one another.

Maucieri’s professionalism during our wedding didn’t go unnoticed. The presentation of the food was spot on, the attitude of the staff was pure class, and they were there to support us with whatever we needed.

My husband and I were the winners of the Pine Peaks Wedding Giveaway which included catering. We are so thankful Maucieri’s donated their services to this wedding giveaway. We couldn't have asked for better service and better food. They were willing to accommodate us with everything we wanted. We wanted plated food, they made it happen. We wanted butler passed hors d’ouerves, they made it happen. We wanted our cake cut, they made it happen. We wanted grilled food for our grooms dinner, they made it happen. They even made breakfast food for a Sunday brunch. They not only accomplished everything we wanted, the food was amazing. I believe they even lit all of our candles while the ceremony was going on. Maucieri’s went above and beyond for us and we couldn't be more grateful

Thank you very much! Everything was perfect! Maucieri’s provided a great meal that our guests are still talking about. From the early planning stages to serving the meal, Kate was so knowledgeable and helpful. She had every detail thought out and her team was so efficient. We wanted something different, but familiar, a dish that we have served our guests many times and one of our favorites, paella. Chef Brian created a fantastic meal and one of the best that I have ever had at an event this size. Kate along with her staff handled everything so personally and professionally, which really helped make our night special. We highly recommend Maucieri’s catering and restaurant the service and food are excellent!

I cannot say enough good things about Maucieri’s Catering! They went above and beyond to create exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. My husband and I choose not to have a traditional sit down dinner but instead create a party like atmosphere with food stations set up around the room. Maucieri’s had never done this for a wedding before but they pulled it off flawlessly. I had so many guests tell me it was the most food they ever had a wedding and the best! They worked with me and my husband through all the details and made us feel very comfortable even though this was new to them as well! They 100% did everything they could to make our day special!

Mauceris catering is amazing! We could not have found a better company to cater our wedding! Not only was the food spectacular (our guests are still raving about the au gratins!) but the staff was great! We were able to customize our menu and bar without any hassle! The catering coordinator, Kate, made planning a breeze! She was very easy to get a hold of and quick to respond. She had everything set up like 5 days before our actual wedding! We were very pleased with the work that Maucieri's did for us. Kate, the catering coordinator was great to work with. She was very timely in getting back to us with any questions we had and she anticipated our needs at each step along the way. We asked Maucieri's to prepare a meal they had never done before and Chef Brian knocked it out of the park! One of our favorite meals Spanish Paella. Everyone was raving about the wonderful aroma well before we ate. The meal was a hit and one of the best we'd ever had a wedding. The entire staff was attentive and friendly which really helped make our wedding so enjoyable!.

What an awesome job Maucieri's Catering does! We had many, many compliments on everything from the rehearsal meal to the wedding meal then the breakfast the morning after. Katelyn does as good of job making sure everything goes as planned, from making sure the table settings are perfect to getting people to bringing the meal out to guests right on time. There was not once that we had to worry about her and her staff. From all the chefs to the servers to anybody that was there, Excellent! As far as the meal, couldn't have had a better menu. We got with them and got to try samples months before the menu to make sure what we got what we wanted. Again they just stepped up and make everything taste awesome. There chefs are so very good at what they do. We had steaks for rehearsal supper, no kidding, the best we have ever eaten. Hats off to Maucieir's! Thanks Kate!

Maucieri's Catering was absolutely wonderful. I had the pleasure of working with their Manager, Jodi, throughout the months prior to our wedding, and also on our special day. My husband and I actually never had any of Maucieri's food prior to the wedding weekend. We solely booked with them because they had an amazing reputation. We are 100% satisfied with their service and food. Jodi and the servers assisted with dismissing tables, clearing the dance floor, cutting cake for 200 people, serving drinks and more. Each of the employees of Maucieri's was so much fun to be around. They were upbeat and happy, and it made my day when one of them told me I was beautiful. Moving tables, clearing dirty dishes off of tables, carrying around trays, and stressing about getting food served in a timely fashion can be a tough job. All of the tasks were handled so flawlessly, and with such a professional attitude. I would recommend Maucieri's for any event!

Maucieri's (food and service) was my favorite part of our wedding! I was concerned about having the same caterer/restaurant for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, but there was no reason to be worried. I would encourage anyone to utilize Maucieri's for BOTH of those events -- the menu is varied and has plenty of choices! It was very nice to be able to work with one person for both. Jodi Aydt was wonderful and helped us immensely. We chose the Italian Buffet for our wedding dinner, and selected the chicken fettuccine and the Rosé pastas. Both were incredible and we received lots of compliments from our wedding guests. Arguably even better, however, were the entrees served at our Rehearsal Dinner. We had the Chicken stuffed with prosciutto & 3 cheeses, as well as the Slow Roasted Beef with mushroom sauce. The sides were asparagus with hollandaise and roasted garlic baby red potatoes, both of which were also outstanding. And delicious cannolis for dessert! Our wedding party and family members raved about the food and our parents were very pleased with the service. Thank you Maucieri's for making our wedding meals special, memorable and delicious!

My experience with Pine Peaks Event Center couldn’t have been more beautiful. From the beginning, they were gracious and hospitable hosts for our wedding weekend. I will never forget the kindness shown by Dave and Julie Peterson, their newlywed assistants Mike and Cassie, and Maucieri’s caterers, Jodi and Dewey. They all worked together flawlessly to make sure this day went seamless. I know people do things for the bride so she doesn’t have to think on that day, but I never expected every tiny detail I had forgotten to be attended to with such delicate care. I think they even put in an order to mother nature the day of the ceremony because our special day was surrounded by days of rain, fog, snow, and wind. But on our wedding day, the sun came out, the wind stopped, and it was just warm enough to hold the ceremony outdoors… in November… Up North… We are very grateful and feel blessed to have had our celebration at Pine Peaks Event Center with Maucieri’s. Ooooooh, the food. All my guests raved at how amazing the food was. It’s been two weeks, and we still get compliments about the food. If you want good food at your wedding, don’t even think about asking them to host another caterer. Pine Peaks with Maucieri’s work. I don’t see how another caterer could top the service we got. I’m not sure how much more I can boast about these wonderful people without sounding like a bag of hot air. All I know is the happiest day of my life so far was spent at Pine Peaks Retreat and Event Center, and nothing made me any less than that.

Absolutley the best wedding food I have ever had!!!!!!!! Really!! the food was outstanding, the service was fabulous! I'm so happy that they catered my daughters wedding! Jodi was very accessible, accommodating, and professional in responding to our questions, wishes and dietary needs. The food was wonderful: a cousin enthusiastically commented "I've been to a lot of weddings and this is the best food I've ever had!" The groom's father stated that guests told him the best part was having Chef Dewey come out to explain in detail what was being served; "We've never seen that happen before." We found that the food in quantity (186 guests) was as great as the thoroughly enjoyable Tasting Dinner we were treated to. Chef Dewey was available to us that day also.

Everyone raved about how amazing the food was!!! I was very particular when it came to choosing our caterer. I always hear from other weddings how the food wasn't that great, or the guests were still hungry so I chose Maucieris because the food was exceptional and my guests would love it. We chose a buffet style and had seafood tortellini and slow roasted beef. I'm still craving some!! It was the best food I have ever had!! Highly recommend!

Maucieri's has been a past favorite so I was excited to hear that they would be catering our wedding through Pine Peaks. We chose chicken Alfredo and stuffed shells along with the Caesar salad and antipasto plate. The Alfredo sauce here is the best I've tasted. Guests were raving about the food!
We also chose Maucieri's for our rehearsal dinner. Excellent taste and an easy clean up.

The food was amazing! I can't say enough how wonderful it was. For weeks after, everyone talked about how good the food was and how it was better than any food they had ever had at a wedding. Tony was great to work with and was flexible enough to help us get the wedding we wanted for a reasonable price. I loved that I didn't have to worry about anything through the night, if there were a problem or we weren't following our timeline, Maucieri's let me know about it and asked how we should handle it. I never felt stressed or pressured at all with regards to the service. Everything went smoothy and you barely even noticed them working in the background. I can't say enough about how well they handled the wedding and would strongly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding! It was all around a wonderful experience!

Maucieri's food was fantastic !!! We had so many compliments on the dinner. We had the Chicken Fettuccine and the Chicken Parmesan along with their house salad, antipasto and fresh bread....let me tell you the bread display alone brought "oohs and ahhs"....it was just beautiful !! We also ordered their veggie tray, meat and cheese tray, and fresh fruit tray for during "happy hour" and I have to say again, the presentation was incredible !! Everything was so fresh and delicious and the serving staff was very friendly and professional. Maucieri's did a wonderful job on their catering, we would highly recommend them.

Tony and his staff were amazing. They even had the committee for a taste testing to see what we wanted on our menu. The food was delicious, on time, and wonderfully prepared. It was so nice to see our kids enjoy a 4 course meal of fine dining, which many do not have an opportunity to enjoy. The whole experience was problem free and so much fun. The staff was helpful, friendly, and hard working. It was such a pleasure that we have already booked our prom there for next year!

We had Maucieri's for our wedding and we loved it! We got to go to the restaurant in Crosslake and have a fabulous tasting with so many options, and Chef Dewey was very helpful with answering any questions we had about the food. The service at our reception was top notch and all the employees were happy to be there and do anything for us. During dinner, Tony came over to my husband and I and asked if everything was good and if there was anything else they could do for us. They always made sure we were taken care of at the head table and that all the guests had water. The food was phenomenol!! We never had their food before planning our wedding, and we are so happy we had them do our wedding. Every guest I talked to after dinner said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. I would highly recommend Maucieri's for everyone having a wedding or any event where catering is needed. The service and food were exceptional!

Maucieri's was amazing. The food was delicious, and Kate worked well with me, as I was planning from afar. She even let my Mother and Brother do my food taste testing in our place. She helped them pick (they took some notes and pics) and then she still sent us a bunch of info through email so we had as much information as possible.
Kate showed up the day before to set some things up and check on everything. She was wonderful and very organized. The day of everything came off without a hitch, and the food was beautiful and tasty.

Maucieri's was able to accommodate our special request of adding mac n cheese to the buffet however their mac n cheese isn't just any mac n cheese it is homemade mac n cheese that everyone is still raving about. The beef was a little tough compared to tasting when it was super tender but inviting us up to tasted was a huge benefit because we totally changed our minds once we tasted the food. The rose pasta was also amazing. They offered to serve our ice cream cake that we had brought in so that it wouldn't melt which added value but the drinks were a little high. Overall very helpful and the pizzas at the end of the night are always a hit so make sure you have enough.

I had the pleasure of using Maucieri's Catering for the Groom's Dinner for my son's wedding. I chose Maucieri's catering after visiting their restaurant. The bride had already chosen Maucier's as her caterer and I went with her to taste test. We met Jodi and the head chef and they proceeded to bring out samples of many of the menu items. After the bride, Jackie, made her choices, I made mine. I did not want anything similar to the wedding menu, and Jodi was very helpful in recommending a menu. I chose the carved turkey and carved beef as the main entrees. I have attended well over a hundred wedding functions (I have a large family and circle of friends!!!) and I can honestly say, the food was the best I have ever had on a buffet line. But, Maucieri's is much more than delicious food. The service, presentation, and overall comfort level given by Maucieri's is superior. In addition to the above, Jodi was so helpful. Every question was answered in a timely manner and advice was given when asked and needed. I am from South FL, so I did not have the opportunity to meet with them more than once. However, on the day of the event, I had no worries as every detail had been covered. Still, Jodi came out to visit in the morning of just to make sure I had no questions or last minute changes. And last, but not least, our bartender was fabulous. All the guests enjoyed his personality and his bartending expertise!

Kate, Brian and team went way beyond to provide a great experience for our guests! And our guests loved the meal and presentation! The salad was spinach salad beautiful with a roll beside it served with the bacon vinaigrette dressing and strawberries, walnuts and brie! The filet mignon was perfectly done, looked fantastic and our guest loved them! The chicken breast with white wine mushroom sauce was absolutely delicious! Kate and Brian met every expectation and believe me we had many! Our daughter, the bride, has been in the food service industry and is a food snob. They made her happy. Kate and team surprised us by adding a fresh edible orchid to every plate! Insane! They also served iced butter balls at the table which helped to keep each of our tables looking elegant. They truly knocked themselves out for us and we are so so so very grateful! Kate's customer service was off the charts and we truly feel like we have made a new friend!

My husband & I were marred Feb. 2015 & used Maucieri's as our caterer. After initial contact, we were able to set up a day to take a few family members to Maucieri's Italian Bistro to taste test food for our wedding a few months prior to the "big day". During the tasting the catering manager Kate walked us through each step of the wedding evening including meal & beverage options for adults & kids alike, as well as linen & table setting choices. All of the food was tasty, but we decided go with their house salad which included several dressing options & bread. For the main course we choose a buffet style dinner offering the option of chicken florentine & pork prime rib (which was carved at the end of the buffet table by Chef Brian!) followed by asparagus and the most delicious garlic mashed potatoes!
They were even willing to accommodate specific requests such as serving the head table plated meals and cutting/plating the dessert we personally brought in at no extra charge.
We had many guests comment on the high-quality of the food and they could't stop raving about those potatoes!! Later in the evening we choose to have pizza that was cooked in the Pine Peaks Wood Burning Oven for guests to enjoy. The fire cooked pizza was a perfect snack to keep our guests going long into the night!
We also had an excellent experience with the bar service--Wes & Tony did a superb job as our bartenders!

Initially we had a few issues trying to communicate with the catering manager, but the service & attention to detail the day of the wedding was beyond wonderful!! We felt the food was a bit pricey, but certainly worth every penny in the end! I definitely recommend Maucieri's as a caterer for any event!

We had Maucieri's cater our Rehearsal and Reception Dinner. We did pasta for the Rehearsal Dinner which was very good! For the Wedding Reception Dinner, we had the Maple Leaf Chicken and Slow Roasted Beef with Green Bean Almandine and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Everything was phenomenal! The wedding guests were all raving about how it was the best wedding food that they have every had! Kate the wedding coordinator was very easy to work with in the planning. The only slight negative was that we felt like the service was slightly slow to clear the salad plates before dinner and after dinner to get the champagne out to the tables. Overall, I would highly recommend Maucieri's!!

When selecting Pine Peaks Event Center as your venue you are only given Maucieri's as a catering option which is a bit worrysome because you want to make sure you are picking the best of the best for your wedding day! The day we visited Pine Peaks we also had lunch at Maucieri's and it was hands down the best Italian meal! My father-in-law is still raving about that lunch. Turns out a few months later WCCO thought the same thing and voted them best Italian in MN! Between the most beautiful venue we had seen and delicious lunch we had just consumed we were sold!

Our tasting was well executed and we had SO many options to choose from! We had so many favorites and ended up having 3 dinner options for our guests. Kate was quick to accommodate any food sensitivities and allergies (our food sensitive guest was a 13 year old so Kate made up a more kid appropriate item for her that night!!). We had Maucieri's cater our rehearsal dinner as well but I wanted to keep it casual and asked if they would just grill out for us. I was expecting a bit more plain based on the request I had put in but they had the best chicken (everyone commented on how moist and flavorful it was), perfectly seasoned roast potatoes - both cooked on the grill in front of us and veggies and bread to top it off! Everyone was really impressed and went back for seconds. The reception was no different - great portion sizes and the food was served hot!

We will definitely go back to visit the restaurant when in town again!

Maucieri's Catering staff was wonderful to work with! Kate, the event's catering manager, graciously worked with our schedules and means of communication when it was most efficient for us.

She gave great recommendations when it came to food pairings, buffet versus plated options and which beverages to supply for our guests. She took the guesswork out of our hands so we were able to focus on other details.

We served our guests Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan with an assortment of meats and cheese. We even had a variety of options when it came to our guests with vegetarian or gluten-free dietary needs.

Our guests absolutely loved everything that was served; some even mentioned it was the best wedding meal they've ever had. We would certainly recommend Maucieri's Catering to any bride and groom in need of delicious wedding food.

We initially had some communication complications, but in the end all came together better than I had expected. The food was immaculate! Service was prompt! Presentation was astounding! We even dined in at the restaurant later the following week as we enjoyed it so much and received the same wonderful experience!! Jodi and Maucieri's Catering are amazing! They were so flexible in helping plan the catering portion of our wedding and helped make it everything we could have dreamed of and more. Everything from the food tasting - which was overly filling and delicious, to the day of the event was perfect. I've heard stories of working with other caterers and the issues that other brides have had and I didn't experience any of that in working with Jodi and Maucieri's. They allowed us to do some things on our own and yet provided the most excellent food we could have asked for all at decent prices. I didn't have to worry about the food, catering, and set up. I knew I was in good hands and was taken care of the entire time of our event. I would recommend and choose Maucieri's any time. They were hands down - the best!

The food is absolutely amazing. We got SO many compliments from our guests. Not your typical wedding food. I would absolutely recommend them!

Maucieri’s recently catered our event and I've been told by MULTIPLE guests at our wedding that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. We chose to do a buffet style service. Our sides were the garlic mashed potatoes and green beans with maple leave chicken and fillet mignon as our main dishes. They have an extensive menu for you to choose from and made everything super easy on the big day!

Everyone at Maucieri's was pleasant and helpful. The food was excellent. We received many compliments on the Pine Peaks Event Center and Maucieri's food. Having Chef Dewey outline the meal was really well received, our guests thought that was very classy. The late night pizzas were a hit too.

I was very happy with the catering from Maucieri's. They were very easy to work with and very helpful. It was wonderful that they took care of everything including set-up, clean-up, delivery and take down, tables, linens, place settings, glassware. I didn't have to worry about anything! The attention from the staff was just right. The food was very good and my parents were impressed. Thanks so much!

Kate was really flexible and punctual. She helped arrange our dinner menu during the tasting and was there for the wedding to make sure everything went smoothly. Maucieri's allows you to bring in your own dessert. My mother-in-law made dessert shooters and we also bought cupcakes. We suggestreminding the catering staff to leave out silverware. Nothing was left out so our guests didn't have anything to eat with after their dinner plates were taken away. Minor downfall but as far as the wedding food, Maucieri's catering definitely set the expectation for delicious wedding food! If you choose to get married at Pine Peaks Event Center on a Saturday, Maucieri's has to cater in both the food and the alcohol. Kate helped us decide how much alcohol we would need for the wedding dependent on guests as we didn't have an idea. The only downfall was during the food tasting we had discussed using the corking fee and bringing in our own wine instead of using their wine. We had asked if it made a difference if we brought in 750ml or 1.5L of wine and Kate had said it didn't. Therefore, we purchased 1.5L for the wedding with the confirmation that there would be one corking fee per wine bottle. However, when my husband's parents received the bill Maucieri's had charged two corking fees for a 1.5L. It's a little frustrating because we'd previously asked about this and were told that there would only be one corking fee. Regardless, they just paid the bill. I would suggest making sure everything is documented so there are any surprises. All in all I don't think I have ever left a wedding thinking how amazing the food was, nor can I think back to what I had for dinner at past weddings I've attended. However, Maucieri's catering had all of our guests just blown away, especially with the buffet. Both families took part in the tasting and found it really hard to make a decision. Our guests at the wedding are still raving about how delicious the food was.

The service for trying out what we wanted for our wedding was great. We were definitely full afterwards lol. Our choices of food for our guests were great. We received a lot of compliments that the food was amazing. Don't think there was any left over food. I know there wasn't for our cake. The only thing that had my husband and my head scratching was that they cut into our top piece that we were going to save for our first anniversary. They apologized immediately and said they had never done that before. Thankfully they did saved the remaining few peices for us before it was all gone.

The caterer contacted us to set up a taste test. We were given several options for when to meet. We were able to sit in with other couples for the taste test, so we were able to try a variety of foods.

We had special requests for our main course and had difficulties coming to an agreement on pricing. It all worked out in the end though.

All of our guests were very impressed with the food and said it was "the best wedding food they had ever had!"

Kate was really great to work with! She helped to make our day stress free. She was very personable and worked with us to make sure everything flowed well.

Food is great - Bartender is bad

We went through Mauceri's because Pine Peaks Event center has an exclusive contract with them. Their prices were decent compared to caterers around Minneapolis. They offered a food tasting which we participated in. We were able to choose two entrees and a couple sides. We enjoyed one entree (the salmon) and were not impressed with the other dishes. We wanted two entrees, so we just went with another entree that was recommended, without trying it. Ultimately, our wedding food was AMAZING! Everyone I talked to afterward absolutely loved the food (salmon and slow roasted beef). I’m only giving three stars because I was severely disappointed with the bar staff. I’m not sure if they knew what they were doing… 1) We had bought our own wine and had lots of boxes that were all clearly labeled. My mother found out late during the reception that they were not serving any of the white wine. Many of my guests were disappointed. 2) The final bill that I was given from the bartender was on a scratch pad with check marks all over it and a large sum circled at the bottom. It made no sense. I originally pre-paid for 24 wine corking fees and somehow realized after analyzing the scratch pad for hours that they showed I had only paid for 12. I had to get ahold of Jean and talk with her about it… she then enlightened me that the bartender had not added tax to the bill, so the final bill was actually more than what was listed (what a mess!). Jean said we could just call it even. Lastly, 3) I heard from multiple guests that the bar staff attempted to overcharge them. All guests ended up confronting bar staff about their bill and having to get a new, adjusted one that was accurate. Long story short, the food ended up being GREAT, Jean was GREAT to work worth, the bar staff was BAD.

Maucieri's has THE BEST italian food around. We had an italian pasta bar for our reception, and we received SO MANY compliments about the food!

Overall I have a good experience, especially after Jody took over. Prior to that I was not receiving any return calls. Everything went well and tasted great. We did have to call the following morning to see if somone was coming to pick up the dishes etc.
