From the very beginning, working with Jeni and Chef Matt was great. We wanted to do a more unusual menu and Chef Matt created a meal to exceed our expectations (a combination of greek salad, mediterranean rice, grilled veggies, pita and hummus, and his own take on shawarma chicken). Our guests couldn't stop talking about it! I mean, to get compliments that it was the best wedding food and just food in general that they ever had was outstanding and made us feel like we were able to really treat our guests!
Working with Jeni was so refreshing! She is professional and caring, and brought up so many details that I hadn't even thought of that elevated the service we received. She even cut our cake for the guests!
We also had our rehearsal dinner catered by Matthew's Catering and were so impressed with his KC BBQ. The brisket was melt in your mouth tender and the sides were delicious.
The price is very reasonable and the quality and value can't be beat.
This team is truly an asset to an event they serve. Just wonderful. We were so incredibly lucky to find them.
I will be recommending them for any and all occasions. They are THAT good. Give them a call or email them, they will exceed your expectations! -

We hired Matthew’s Catering for our Feed Lee’s Summit Gala because we trust them to deliver. We received so many compliments from our guests and friends. When you’re hosting a large gala (360), everything has to be perfect to reach your financial goals and that’s why we chose Matthew’s. A ticket to our gala was $150 and people expect to be fed well and Matthew’s checked that box with glowing reviews. We also had to keep our costs down to maximize our proceeds and Matthew’s worked with us to achieve our goals. -

We used Matthew’s Catering for daughter’s wedding. We chose the taco bar and it did not disappoint. Had a few guests mention how good it was. All the planning and details were very straight forward, we knew exactly what we were getting. By using them it was one less thing we had to worry about because we knew they had it covered. Gretchen in the office was very thorough and responsive as we changed menu selections a few times before we settled on the taco bar. Marcia our head server at the venue was extremely easy to communicate with. Would not hesitate to use their services again, highly recommend them. -

Highly recommend using Matthew's Catering for your wedding reception! Their event coordinator, Gretchen, is very responsive and makes sure to over-communicate all of the details. We did the taco/nacho bar and got many compliments from our guests! The food was delicious! -

Matthews catering was great to work with for our October 2024 wedding. They helped us create the menu we wanted with the budget we had set aside. They were very responsive and helpful! Our guests complimented the food and we enjoyed it as well. The staff working was friendly and professional! Would recommend as a local KC wedding caterer to others. -

Matthew's was great to work with and did a great job for our wedding! Guests LOVED the food:
- many described it as the best wedding food they’d had
- many went back for seconds
- We (bride & groom) both thought food was delicious
- they were really easy to work with including accommodating a late change in menu for us
- Matthew & Jeni were great to meet and really nice with tasting / planning / payments
- good gluten free options for some with allergies
- attendee in a wheelchair was extremely impressed when Matthew's staff proactively carried her plate to her seat after she had selected food at the buffet -

Matthew’s Catering was absolutely delicious! We chose them to cater our wedding and it was top tier wedding food. I personally have never experienced great food at a wedding, but I was blown away at how great Matthew’s Catering was. I continue to receive positive feedback regarding the food, even weeks after the wedding, that it was the best wedding food anyone has ever had. We did the taco bar with some appetizers, and it was amazing. They even stuck around to cut our cake, which was a huge help. Easy communication, great prices, and excellent food. 10/10 would recommend! -

This is the caterer you NEED to cater your wedding in my opinion! They are always there to help with your catering needs and the foos was such a big hit at our wedding!
