We had a wonderful experience working with Matt for our civil ceremony. From our first call, he was highly approachable and easy to talk to, which made the planning process much more comfortable.
He was professional throughout. He took the time to listen to our preferences and delivered a personalized script that fitted us perfectly. On the day of the event, he offered us much needed flexibility and kept everyone engaged with his delivery. Highly recommend his services to any couple looking for an attentive officiant.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Matt Sims on wedding ceremonies, and he is truly one of the best officiants I’ve ever collaborated with. He brings such a calm, warm presence to the wedding day, and you can immediately tell how comfortable he makes the couple and the guests feel.
From a videographer’s perspective, Matt is a dream to work with. He communicates clearly, coordinates effortlessly, and understands the flow of a ceremony in a way that makes everything smoother for all vendors involved. Working with Matt was amazing. Matt has a great, fun-loving personality which is what we were looking for our wedding. My Mother-in-law also invited him to our rehearsal Luncheon that he joined us for and blessed our meals, even though his schedule was PACKED that day. We had the best experience with Matt officiating our wedding. He was responsive, extremely helpful and made our whole ceremony run so smoothly. We received many compliments from friends and family about how personal and special our ceremony was.
After the day the courthouse lost some of our paperwork, and Matt drove all the way out to us to replace it and got it sorted out quickly! Could not recommend him more and the British accent is definitely a plus! -

Matt was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the entire wedding ceremony process. He guided us expertly, responding promptly to all our inquiries and providing script templates that significantly shaped the ceremony from start to finish. His flexibility regarding the inclusion of religious prayers was greatly appreciated, allowing us to choose as much or as little as we desired. Matt was the perfect wedding officiant! In preparing for the wedding, he sent us all the resources to help plan the flow and content of our ceremony. Matt was always quick to respond and answered all of our questions. He was up for all of our ideas and when the day came, he executed the script we requested in the absolute best possible way. Matt really set the tone for our wedding, and it was even better than we had anticipated. To top it off, he even mailed in our marriage license for us! I contacted Matt about doing our ceremony, which as a second wedding, we organized in about 4 months time. Matt was willing to help make our wedding happen agreeing to work with us if we could push the time around to let him drive get to Alexandria from a second wedding. Matt was responsive at every step in the process and worked with us to get a meaningful but short ceremony that was perfect for us. It provided meaning while at the same time wasn’t unbearably long for our guests. Highly recommend him! -

We got married 6/29/24 at Blue Mountain Lodge and Matt officiated our wedding and did our rehearsal! He was easy to talk to, comfortable to be around, thorough, well spoken, and professional! Matt was such an amazing officiant for our wedding on 10/7/23. When we first messaged Matt, he responded the same day and we set up a call to discuss details. He is very organized and prepared. He provided us with different ceremony options to choose from so we could really make it our own. His pricing is also very reasonable and he is willing to do a rehearsal if that is something you want. On the day of the ceremony, everything went amazing. All our guests complimented how great Matt was and how nice the ceremony was. I would recommend Matt to any couple who is getting married. He will make your wedding ceremony truly special!!! -

Wonderful officiant!
Pastor Matt was very responsive and flexible in preparing for our ceremony even when we were stretched very thin with a lot to do!
He had great customizable ceremony options, checked in with us prior to the wedding, asked the important logistical questions that we hadn’t thought of, and was also able to think on his feet and help us out when we had some technical trouble in the ceremony and we needed to make some quick adaptations on the spot. Thank you for all of your help! Everyone said that it was such a meaningful event! -
