Best Wedding DJ Ever!

Mary Ann was an absolute HOOT to work with! From our first meeting with her, we knew she was the perfect fit for us! She completely understood the vibes and vision we had for our wedding, from the ceremony music to the last song of the night. She has the best personality and is so enjoyable to work with! She respected our suggestions, but also used her insanely talented creativity to make the night even more fun than we could have imagined!

For the next several days after the wedding, everyone was raving about our DJ! They were saying that she curated a perfect atmosphere, was an excellent MC, and several even asked if we had a playlist from her!

She knew how to get the room going when needed, knew how to be professional and navigate first dances/cake cutting/etc... seamlessly, and seemingly had eyes and ears everywhere! A DJ can truly make or break a wedding experience, and if you want a safe bet, MA is 100% the way to go! We would absolutely hire her again in the future or recommend her to friends for their wedding needs!

absolutely LOVE her

MA is the BEST!!!! We hired her for our wedding and it was the best decision we made. Both us and our guests absolutely love her. My favorite things: 1) She knew how to keep a crowd moving 2) She only MC'd when she needed, she never spoke too much, but she was always there and attentive to the people's needs, even when unspoken 3) so professional and so good at communicating 4) her personality!! Absolutely loved working with her and would hire her for any of my events. Highly recommend!!

Don’t hesitate, hire her!!

From our very first meeting to the day of our wedding we knew that we were in great hands with Mary Ann. She does a wonderful job of getting to know you as a couple and the stories behind your favorite songs to better understand the atmosphere you are hoping to create on your wedding day. Mary Ann also worked hard to keep our dance floor packed and to keep us on schedule for the night. Our reception flowed flawlessly thanks to Mary Ann’s transitions and attention to detail. She also did a fantastic job of playing a variety of music to keep everyone engaged and out on the dance floor. She was able to seamlessly transition between each genre and all of our must play songs. We honestly could not recommend Mary Ann more!

Mary Ann is amazing!!

We could not recommend Mary Ann enough. She DJ’d our wedding at Planterra on January 6, 2024 and our guests have been raving about her music ever since. Seriously!!

During the planning process, Mary Ann was extremely attentive to what we wanted. During subsequent meetings, she always remembered our requests and had meticulous notes even a year later!

She asked us what was most important about our wedding and we told her the timeline—we really wanted things to flow smoothly! She helped us create a master sequence of events that we ultimately went with, and our wedding flowed beautifully. We had so many compliments on our wedding and timeline that Mary Ann helped create. She is so much more than just a DJ! She felt like a true friend who had your back by the end of the evening.

During the wedding, so many guests complimented our music. She nailed the song selection and read the room like a champ. She had the dance floor going the entire night and thoughtfully placed the songs I told her were most important to us. Ugh- she just nailed everything and was so adored my us, our family, and guests. We love Mary Ann

Mary Ann came very highly recommended to us by two of our friends who employed her services for their weddings. We had a very short engagement and were thrilled that we were able to book her given the brief three months that we gave her to set up for our big day.

She was such a pleasure to work with and we are so grateful for the advice she shared with us as well as the patience she had for us in our indecisiveness and seeming inability to meet deadlines. She was always happy to give feedback on and accommodate my goofier song ideas where I was able to fit them in.

She is a true professional and we were really at ease knowing that she had everything handled alongside our day-of coordinator with regard to keeping the event on schedule, announcing us at the right time, corralling guests and pulling them aside when they needed to be gathered for photos, etc. The evening went without any issues whatsoever - even with a rain shower that almost threw our schedule off - and all the minute-by-minute items on our day-of schedule were nailed to a tee. She had a huge hand in the fact that we were able to actually be present and enjoy our own wedding day as opposed to running around like maniacs checking things off of a to-do list or wondering where we were supposed to be at any given time.

She does a really great job with song selection too and played all the music I gave her as well as some of her own picks which was really helpful in the situations that I struggled to come up with ideas of my own. She is very thorough (but not tediously so) in the way she tries to get to know your music tastes and we never for a minute worried about what song was going to be playing next. She has a great talent for reading the room and playing the right tracks at the right time.

As I told her after our wedding was wrapped up, if I had to go back and plan everything over again I would have picked her again ten times out of ten. Do yourself a favor and book her if she is available for your event!

Wonderful!

Mary Ann is more than a wedding DJ - she truly felt like a friend and she set the tone for our entire wedding day! She has incredible attention to detail and made sure our music selection was exactly what we wanted and would keep our guests on the dance floor. She made so many helpful suggestions from the timing of the first dances, to the bouquet toss, to the length of our ceremony music. She even took the time to download instrumental versions of specific songs for my dad and I to sing during the reception. Amazing Wedding DJ!

My husband and I were pretty laid back about wedding planning, EXCEPT when it came to the music. Our personal preferences are not exactly in line with a “typical” wedding reception playlist, but I still wanted our guests to have a great time on the dance floor. It turned out we had nothing to worry about, thanks to MA. I knew from our phone call prior to the wedding day that we would be in good hands, and she exceeded our expectations.

Our dance floor was packed all night, and many of our guests commented on our fun and unique music selection. We told MA prior to the wedding which songs were most important to us, and she made sure to play them only when my husband and I were available to dance. She was happy to play some “unusual” requests, but only after checking with my husband and me to make sure we approved. Thank you MA for making our wedding night truly unforgettable.

The best!!

We started working with Mary Ann back in 2019, when we were planning for April 2020. We postponed our wedding three times, and Mary Ann was incredibly gracious and flexible throughout the process, making the difficult decision to change our date incredibly easy to implement. For three years, every time we told another vendor that Mary Ann was our DJ, we heard nothing but the highest of praise. "You're in great hands!", "Oh she's the best!" Mary Ann absolutely lived up to the hype. She took time before the wedding to talk with us about what we imagined for our music to ensure the night would be exactly what we expected. She encouraged us to think hard about things we'd never considered -- like dinner and cocktail hour music (we ended up incorporating a playlist we used at our downsized COVID event into that time) and which version of Hava Nagila we wanted for the Hora. Since my husband's family is Puerto Rican, we provided a Spotify playlist of Merengue and Salsa music, which she expertly interwove with Motown and pop to keep both sides of the party on the dance floor all night. And when our cousins who requested the Wobble turned out to be the only people at the party who knew the dance, she stepped out of the booth and became a dance instructor. You will not find a better DJ -- I could not recommend Mary Ann highly enough!

The coolest DJ around!

Mary Ann is the best in the business! I could tell from our first conversation that she would be so much fun to work together, and she was! I so appreciated her flexibility and patience as we navigated postponing our wedding and swapping venues during COVID. Exceeded Expectations

I was so concerned when it came to DJ's because I've seen/heard horror stories. Mary Ann came recommended from our venue and after the first phone call is was clear why.

She asked a ton of questions to understand us as a couple and our style. She asked what we didn't like from other DJ's and what we were looking for to make sure she was the right fit for us. It was clear that our happiness was her number one priority!

Mary Ann is so sweet and easy to work work. She's communicative, organized and made us feel so confident with our decision during the entire planning process. Our guests were on the dance floor all night thanks to her spins!

a must have for your wedding

Mary Ann was incredible. This wasn't the first time my family has used her and it surely won't be the last. Mary Ann knows how to read the crowd and keep people on the dance floor and is SO much fun to be with. You can tell by the way she interacts with the crowd that she truly enjoys and takes pride in her work. We had a slight hiccup at our wedding with the weather where we almost had to evacuate the tent and move inside and Mary Ann was ready at the drop of a hat to grab a speaker and her laptop and bring the party inside. Luckily we didn't have to, but her adaptability was reassuring to us. I can't recommend Mary Ann enough for any event that you have.

A joy to work with

Mary Ann is an amazing music ninja. On our wedding day, she slipped so sneakily into the background that at times we forgot she was there! But her presence was so essential and such a beautiful part of the day. We loved chatting with her in the lead-up to the events, and she was such a reassuring force the day of — keeping everything running smoothly and setting just the right tone for every moment. I love maryann

I normally don't leave reviews unless i had a terrible experience. But Mary Ann has exceeded my expectations and I have to make that known. I knew I made the right choice by hiring Mary Ann after my initial phone meeting with her. The first thing she asked me was "What were the reasons why you didn't hire the DJs you've seen at other weddings?" And I told her because of the type of music played didn't appeal to the crowd, the transitions between songs were terrible, and the sound quality. Mary Ann knows how to read the crowd. My dance floor was never empty. I wish I had a part two for my wedding so I can hire her again!. Thanks Mary Ann!

Mary Ann was absolutely incredible! We have already recommended her to two other couples getting married next year. She is extremely vital to our day. From the meeting before the wedding to the last song she played of the night, it was an absolute joy to work with her. MA is honestly the best. She is way more than a DJ – She is a true entertainer. The DJ was one of the most important items on our list. Mary Ann did not disappoint!! She understands every aspect of a wedding and is so willing to make it work for you. One of my favorite things is that she made a special musical theatre playlist for our dinner hour (I’m a drama teacher). It was so personal and my friends and family loved hearing Hamilton while eating bbq. She has DJ’ed both my brothers and my wedding-each time everyone commented on how incredible our DJs were. None of them realized it was Mary Ann both times. We call her the official DJ for our family.

Mary Ann was a vital creative and, truth be told: spiritual force within our amazing wedding at Planterra Conservatory in June 2018. We were thrilled to meet her early on, as we had been focused (once we knew we would not be using a live band) on finding the coolest, best DJ in the Detroit region. And that we did. She's of the region, and her style, taste and mode of working reflect this. It's an honor to have her in our world.

From day one, it was a perfect fit and wonderful experience: relationship, knowledge, service, execution. MA takes great care to establish the relationship immediately through thoughtful conversation, planning, and just the right level of collaboration. Then, she brings her authentic and DEEP musical knowledge and repertoire to bear. She plans meticulously, dials into your taste, is infinitely able to build based on your vision -- and ultimately, masterfully, creates the night of your dreams.

Of the many other plusses, too many to mention here really, she knew our venue inside and out and had solid working relationships with our team already and most all of the other partners we chose as part of what truly became a dream team. She was in many ways, the glue. And, she was certainly, my rock. Did a number of subtle cool things for me day-of for which I am grateful and which make me smile when I think back. She totally gets it.

We loved working with her, miss her already and cannot rave vehemently enough.

Mary Ann was amazing from start to finish. She met with us before the wedding to go over the agenda and get the proper pronunciations of everyone in the wedding party. At the wedding she was organized and did an amazing job announcing all of the toasts, cake cutting, and first dance. After dinner she got people out on the dance floor immediately. Throughout the entire night, the dance floor was packed and people were having an amazing time! Everyone from grandparents to young cousins were out dancing and laughing. Mary Ann helped make our big day so much fun for everyone!

Firstly, Mary Ann Productions was recommended by our amazing wedding photographer, and I think it speaks volumes for someone to recommend another vendor for the same event they're booked to work. To me, that requires a lot of trust that they will help an event go smoothly and won't hinder your reputation or interaction with the hosts.
Secondly, Mary Ann was very supportive, responsive, and enthusiastic about all of the little details and music elements we wanted to include. She also gave a lot of constructive insight based on her past experiences.
Most importantly, she made sure to touch base with us throughout the night to ensure we were there for the special moments we requested and she was very flexible. We gave her a lot of creative control (because we trusted her, but also did not have the energy to micromanage), and she did not disappoint! So many guests told us how great the music was, and the dance floor was full all night. Also: her setup is very minimal (not flashy and overbearing like some DJs), so it didn't interfere with our aesthetic. She just provided a fantastic time and made our night the most perfect it could be!

Mary Ann is the best in the business for a reason. She reached out to us before our wedding to get an idea of our vision for music and dancing, and made professional recommendations for us as well. Throughout the reception, she continuously checked in with us, as well as our parents, to ask about requests and how we were feeling. She did all of this while keeping the dance floor packed all night long! We still have people messaging us weeks after our wedding to tell us they haven't seen their significant other dance like they did at our wedding in years!

I don't know where to begin with how fantastic Mary Ann is. Please excuse the lengthy review but I think it will help future brides.

We had our reception at The Gem Theatre in Detroit and the sound and music done by Mary Ann was incredible. We were referred to Mary Ann through our photographer and were won over right away during our phone consult. Mary Ann is incredibly professional yet tons of fun! She met with us at a restaurant in Royal Oak, treated us to dinner, and went over our entire vision and plan for the reception. She was on top of her game music wise, she listened to what we liked and didn't like, she made sure that she had everything down for our reception before we finished our meeting even if it took several hours.

At the reception, Mary Ann got our 16 person bridal party in order and did a fantastic job with introductions. She moved things along with the speeches, and played fantastic music during dinner. When an incident concerning attire occurred, she made sure to smooth things over and move things along without anyone else noticing. Following our first dance, I can honestly say the dance floor never cleared out. The manager at The Gem told my mom that she couldn't remember the last time the dance floor was always packed and it was an actual party. That was all thanks to Mary Ann. She listened to what we wanted to hear and be played, she made sure nothing we didn't like got played, even if it was requested. Mary Ann was unbelievably professional; the music she choose for us was exactly what we had envisioned without me having to make sure and talk to her constantly that what I wanted to be played was played; and Mary Ann was dressed professionally and looked fantastic as well!

From start to finish Mary Ann's service was impeccable. She responded to emails and texts rapidly and her demeanor and professionalism put myself and my now husband at ease. I can't recommend her enough!!

I highly recommend Mary Ann, she is an awesome DJ! She really loves her job and it makes working with her a pleasure. She is very easy to work with and listens to whats important for your wedding day. Mary Ann did an excellent job rehearing the order of events and everyone’s name- and between our two very ethnic last names, she executed the pronounciation perfectly all night. She was checking in with me throughout the night if the flow of events was good and she was coordinating with the other vendors. Throughout the entire night, we received compliments from our guests about how awesome our DJ was and what a great job she was doing sensing the crowd and playing some great music! You will not regret working with Mary Ann!

If you are thinking of hiring Mary Ann, do it! She is so amazing to work with throughout the whole planning process and on the day of the wedding. There were people on our dance floor all night and her selection of music was great for all of our guests, young and old! Mary Ann is incredible. We had rain before the ceremony, and she knew the exact amount of time she would need to set up outside after it stopped. She kept the dance floor full. She brought us our first drinks of the night. She kept everything moving along and checked with us when she was unsure of a song request. She even got the shuttle driver to wait a few extra minutes so that the guests could enjoy the final song of the night. I wish that I had more events that require a DJ in my future just so that I could see her again!

Mary Ann was one of the highlights of our special night!

MaryAnn was by far the absolute best! She was super fun, professional, and really tailored the music to what you want and what's current and fill in with similar selections. She did not make the reception about her, as some DJs do, like talk way too much, etc. I got SO MANY compliments from my guests on how great she was and I have to say, not to brag, but the dance floor was packed the whole time. A good DJ helps make that happen no matter how cool your guests are. 5/5 stars, 100% satisfied and will of course highly recommend to anyone who wants a fun party with an awesome, professional, kick-ass woman.

Mary Ann was very personable and easy to work with. We were making wedding music plans during a very busy season and even with time zone differences MA made time to talk over the phone to discuss details. We definitely recommend!

We loved Mary Ann! We are very picky music lovers and she did such an awesome job with our wide range of taste. She was professional and did a great job directing us because we had no idea what to do. I'd totally pick Mary Ann again as my dj, if I get re-married. ??

Mary Ann was the absolute best! Everyone was raving about the amazing wedding coordinator that helped them out and kept the music going and helped them when we were late. She was helpful in preventing my friend from playing Rock Lobster at the wedding and could figure out what song my dad wanted to play purely through the beat he sang.

She greeted us as soon as Steve and I arrived at the venue, she greeted us and got us drinks and prepared us for the entrance to the ballroom. She went over the names to make sure that she pronounced them correctly.

I would highly recommend Mary Ann for your wedding!

Mary Ann was wonderful! She was very easy going and accommodating. We got married in Detroit at the DIA, and we wanted mostly Motown played at the reception. She did awesome. Everyone including the wait staff and the bartender were dancing. We still get so many comments from guests about how it was the best music at a wedding they've ever been to. She was just the kind of DJ we were hoping for, fun and engaging with the guests (but not at all corny like some DJ's can be.)

Also, our other vendors enjoyed working with her as well. Everyone only had great things to say about her.

I'm sure Mary Ann would be equally great with any genre of music, but if you want Motown (which I recommend - it's a crowd pleaser) she will bring down the house for sure. I highly recommend Mary Ann Productions!

To be honest, picking a DJ was a bit stressful. There is a lot of trust you put in a DJ - they are The Party! With Mary it was stress free from the beginning. She was very responsive, seasoned and an awesome partner to work with. She was referred by a friend and I can now see why. We got married 3 months ago and we are still receiving compliments on "The Party". The dance floor was always packed. My dad who NEVER dance was jamming on an air guitar and at one point all my guys friend were hitting the high notes to a Whitney Houston song. She made out night perfect!

Mary Ann is truly the BEST in the business! All I wanted for my wedding was to have a packed dance floor and everyone dancing the night away. Mary Ann 100% made my dream come true, we had our venue until 1am and we danced until the lights came on!

Her music selection was KICK ASS for both cocktail hour and reception. I keep getting comments from our guests that "I have never danced so much at a wedding", "this was the BEST wedding, I have ever been too!", "I have been to a lot of weddings, and your DJ is truly the best"

Not only does Mary Ann have a priceless collection of songs, knows how to read a room, she was great to work with. Her professionalism and over 25 years of experience made me so confident in "handing over the keys to the car" to her.

Mary Ann exceeded both our (Husband and myself) expectations and brought the party to a whole new level. Love her so much!

Choosing MA as our dj was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We had some unique requests and she totally embraced it and came up with some AMAZING set lists! She is very hands-on in making sure things run smoothly too - while our speeches were going on, there was a lot of noise coming from the kitchen, and I saw her (not the venue staff) step over and close the door to avoid any distractions from the speeches. Just little things like that show how professional she is and how good at her job she is. MA isn't like some cheesey dj's who just want to hear themselves talk all night, and that was important to us. She knows how to read the crowd and play music that will keep the dance floor packed! Our guests had a blast dancing to her music all night! =) THANK YOU Mary Ann!

Mary Ann went above and beyond to help make our day perfect. From our first contact over email, I knew that she was going to be amazing. Mary Ann is professional, outgoing, a great communicator, and helpful. She was receptive to our playlist and encouraged our family and friends to make requests. From our very first conversation with Mary Ann we knew she was the perfect choice for our wedding DJ. She took the time to work with us and really get the details of what we were looking for. There is no one better than Mary Ann for your DJ! She is so much more than a DJ. She helped us connect with our other vendors (photo and video); she only recommends the best. Mary Ann gets the dance floor moving and played exactly what we requested. She also read our crowd and played what she knew would keep all generations entertained. She keeps the pace of the evening flowing beautifully and even made sure I had a drink in my hand for the toasts. Most importantly, Mary Ann keeps her eye on the bride and groom. Mary Ann was amazing! I couldn't have asked for a more elegant, fun, inclusive, tailor-made ceremony and reception! It was perfect! Mary Ann makes sure everything runs smoothly without harsh interruptions, or awkward quiet moments. she took requests, had an enormous variety of music, and was so accommodating since I was planning from out of town. Mary Ann did an amazing job at our wedding! We had so many guests tell us how awesome she was. She made sure she catered to all our guests as well as keeping up with our song list. Mary Ann Productions is absolutely the only DJ you should book for your wedding or any other event, for that matter. Our wedding planner recommended her, but we knew from our first phone conversation that she was perfect for us. My wife and I have very different tastes in music, and MA made sure that we both got to hear our favorites. People are still telling us how great the music at our wedding was two months later.

She'll play the music you want to hear. She isn't the type of DJ to get on the mic and try and run the party. She creates the perfect party vibe that reflects you and your friends and family. She checks in to make sure you're having fun. She reads the crowd well and keeps the party going. I have zero negative things to say about her. Not one. I give her 6 stars all day! Mary Ann Productions. Do it.

Mary Ann is just the coolest lady in town. No, she really is.. trust me. From my very first conversation with her, it was love. I was very honest about my reservations with a DJ... no disco lights, please. She laughed and said that I sounded like "one of her girls." I immediately knew it was the perfect fit. We gabbed about our love for music and what I liked/didn't like. I also loved how I didn't have to dig and pry to find out how much my music was going to cost me- she lays it out on her website clear as ay, and I LOVE that. I trusted Mary Ann from the start... Her website is VERY professional and impressive. Her form to be completed before the wedding helped me to organize my thoughts and she called me to follow up a few days prior to the wedding - to make sure she had everyone's names correct. She was just incredible on our wedding day as well. She sat to watch our ceremony, which just blows me away. HOW THOUGHTFUL! She even came over to make sure we had everything we needed prior to introducing us. She was flexible and creative. Our music was outstanding and she helped us transition through the night seamlessly. She played a great collection of tunes and made sure to play the ones we requested.. and even ignored the guest requests that she knew I would disprove of. :) I JUST LOVE HER! and I know you will too!

Mary Ann was a pleasure to work with from start to finish! We knew we were in good hands from our first in-person meeting -- she was warm, friendly, and totally professional. (And she makes a mean cup of coffee.) The week before the wedding we spoke on the phone to go over the music, and she made some helpful suggestions about our processional. At the wedding, she made sure everything stayed on track during the speeches, cake cutting, etc. and she made excellent music choices throughout the night. Everyone was dancing, and our pictures prove it! My parents, who are tough to please, were also super impressed with Mary Ann and had nothing but great things to say. Mary Ann made the partay!

Mary Ann is AMAZING. From the first conversation we had, I was sold, and didn't even want to talk to another DJ. She completely understood our vision from the beginning and her experience shows. I can't say enough good things about Mary Ann. She was recommended to us by our photographers (West Park Photography) as we did not have any personal references on DJs. They had worked with her in the past for multiple occasions and stressed that she was the best.

When we on the phone, the first questions she asked me was, "How many of your friends/family members' weddings have you been to and why aren't you looking into the DJs that they used?" It really struck a cord with me because there are a lot of DJs in this business that add in the "cheese" factor and we REALLY wanted just an awesome party with awesome music.

Not only is she a fantastic DJ, but she knows this business. She was a big help in coordinating the ceremony/reception with our coordinator/photographers/venue and constantly was checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed before the ceremony started. Plus she was terrific thru the whole planning process, meeting with us over drinks at her home and making us feel completely comfortable.

During the night she kept the dance floor PACKED and made sure to play all our personal requests. On the flip side, if you give her a "do not play list" she honors it, no matter how much your weird uncle might want to hear his favorite song. :) She also will make sure to check in with you if she has a concern or question and is totally professional when it comes to keeping the party going. You won't hear any of the "cheesy" quips or see any of the corny strobe lights coming from her rig - she let's the music work the crowd.

I would HIGHLY recommend Mary Ann Productions for any event as she really exceeded all our expectations. We LOVED having her DJ our wedding and wish we could relive all the dancing over again!

Mary Ann was absolutely incredible! We feel so lucky, and so blessed, to have had her DJ our big day. We planned our wedding from North Carolina, and she was incredibly accommodating; we spoke via phone and skype about all of the details. We had a plethora of song requests, ranging from indie, to pop, to country, and she worked all of them into the night flawlessly. In addition, she kept my husband and I on schedule all night long- reminding us to do certain things, even reminding us to use the bathroom before we cut the cake and our first dance! We would have been absolutely lost without her. Having Mary Ann DJ was absolutely one of the greatest decisions we made for our wedding. It's been a month, and we are still hearing from our guests how much they loved her. If you are looking for a professional, fun, and caring individual, who really knows how to keep your guests on the dance floor, then look no further- Mary Ann is it!!

Mary Ann... I don't even know where to start. I had seen her work when I was an intern at Meadow Brook Hall and I knew then that when I got married, we had to have her at our wedding.

BEST DECISION EVER!

The entire night everyone was on the dance floor and I have never seen my father-in-law sweat so much dancing before (literally through his suit!). She took on my crazy family and our odd love of the Chicken Dance like a pro and read the crowd (and our tired feet) so well. The best thing I can ever tell another couple is to pick the songs that are important to you and let her do the rest... you won't be sorry!!!!

Despite all of this, my favorite thing about Mary Ann is how much she cares about each of her couples. I never felt like I was working with a business partner, I always felt like I was working with a good friend who genuinely cared about making our wedding the best night of our lives. Because I work in the wedding industry, it was a personal goal of mine to make sure I didn't use songs that I had heard 20 times that year. She took on that goal and worked with me to see it through. I couldn't be happier with how the evening turned out and that I gained a friend through it.

As a bride, a wedding planner and a lover of weddings... having Mary Ann at your wedding will be the best decision you will make during all of your planning.

Mary Ann was fantastic! She took the time to figure out what our musical tastes are (even with our ridiculously long list of song requests). She was very organized and helped us figure out details the ceremony/reception I hadn't even thought about yet. We had so much fun with Mary Ann from the time we set foot into the hall for the ceremony right, through the cocktail hour and dinner, right up through the last song of the reception. She even worked as a bouncer for a bit to help keep me and the bridesmaids concealed in the women's bathroom until the ceremony began. Mary Ann knows when her MC skills are needed to make announcements and keep the night moving as scheduled, but also knows how just keep the music going to keep people on the dance floor. She even taught the guests a dance! We have heard so many compliments about our DJ and we couldn't have been happier about the night! Hire Mary Ann and you won't be disappointed!

Mary Ann was BY FAR the MVP of our wedding. She is great at her job and brings amazing energy. She spent time getting to know us before the event to get a sense for our style and made sure to make all of our guests feel welcome and included. Mary Ann also went above and beyond to ensure we didn't miss anything exciting going on on the dance floor and made sure we had everything we needed. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Mary Ann. We recommend her to anyone over any live band or any other DJ. Choosing MA as our DJ was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process! From day one, she was helpful, energetic, and just "got" us as a couple. She understood exactly what type of music we liked and helped us to create a great lineup of songs. During the planning, she really helped to guide us through the planning process, figuring out details I would have never even thought of. The night of our wedding, She was spot on with all introductions of the wedding party and parents. She was processional and on schedule the whole night. We actually had her do the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. There was not a single moment all night that I was displeased with the music. The ceremony was beautiful. Cocktail hour and dinner included all of our favorite indie songs. And the reception was the most fun I have ever had. The dance floor was never empty. She is not a cliche DJ. She is such a caring, professional woman who really does have a gift & passion for music. She is much more than a DJ. We got so many compliments on the music that night that I lost track. Mary Ann is great! She had DJed a couple of other friends weddings and did such a classy job that I knew I needed to book her. She's so easy to work with and pays attention to details. She helped make the reception flow smoothly. Highly recommend her!

Hire Mary Ann right now, she is amazing! All I can say are great things about Mary Ann and my experience with her, I really like this lady! The reason I had hired Mary Ann was because I wanted something different than you run of mill DJ and she certainly surpassed all my expectations. Mary Ann is kind and listens but also knows her stuff and is super experienced. All the email and phone correspondence was prompt and professional and I really appreciated that Mary Ann was straightforward and to the point in all the communication leading up to the event.

The night of the event was phenomenal. I couldn't stop hugging Mary Ann and telling her how awesome she was and though it might have been the drinks talking it was still the honest truth. She knew what to play and when to play it, she knew what was going to work and what wasn't at what times. She kept our dance floor full all night and kept people entertained with out being overbearing or douchy like other male DJ's I have seen.

She even took care of me and my husband, she got us drinks during cocktail hour, was always checking in and asking us what we needed and made sure the timing on everything worked. What I also liked is that I didn't have to worry about things, I could just defer to MA and her expert opinion and things happened. We didn't have a huge play list or do not play list so the rest was up to her and she played all the right things just by us giving her a few small ideas of what we liked.

For us MA was a splurge but so well, well, worth it, I don't care how much she costs, everyone talked about what an awesome DJ we had and having her there made our evening perfect and just what we wanted it to be. Everyone danced and had a good time and that was all because of Mary Ann.

Forgive my frankness, but there's little more to say than MA is a rockstar! A year later and folks are still commenting on how fabulous the evening was. It can be somewhat daunting locating vendors that are 100% onboard when it comes to same-sex unions, but MA didn't bat an eyelash. She embraced our celebration as well as the love we shared. We can't thank you enough for being no other than yourself.

Mary Ann is awesome! We really wanted a DJ who was professional and fun, without the cheesiness that you find with a lot of DJs. She sat down with us and took the time to find out what type of songs we wanted for our wedding and most importantly, what songs we absolutely did not want played. The day of our wedding she was excellent at coordinating our night (she basically did coordinate our night since our venue's coordinator was awful). She was extremely professional- pronounced all of our wedding party's names correctly, made announcements as we requested, kept the flow of the night going, and most of all, she was FUN! We loved Mary Ann and highly recommend her!

MaryAnn was recommended to us by our photographer who said everyone she's ever referred her to has always come back to rave about what a fantastic job she did. I can attest that this was the exact case with us. Not only is she one of the nicest people I've ever met, she totally got us. Her taste in music and feel for what a deejay is supposed to provide an event is top notch. She says on her website that her experience in the service industry has made her better as her job simply because she knows what goes into planning an event. She means it. A few times during our wedding when a small detail was out of place (one of which was that my husband and I didn't have a drink with dinner, another that our pastor had requested for a song to be played in its entirety while we stood up at the altar after lighting our unity candle). She immediately took charge and ensured that these small details were fixed. Point being, she doesn't just pay attention to her job as a deejay, but tries to be the eyes and ears for any other vendor. We just love her and can't wait for friends of ours to get engaged so we can personally refer her to them.

Mary Ann is the greatest wedding DJ I've ever experienced. From the first meeting she was very professional, and ensures that you get the musical vibe you want. Since my husband is Mexican we wanted to make sure to incorporate Spanish music into the event. We went with Spanish guitar music for cocktail hour and a mix of Latino and American songs for later in the night. Mary Ann went our of her way to make sure she had a great selection to play. She sent links to different albums so we could exactly the type of music we wanted. During the wedding, he dance floor was packed all night long with both young and older guests. I've never been to a wedding where so many guests were dancing. The day after the wedding we were discussing which were our best (and worst) wedding investments; we agreed that hiring Mary Ann was definitely one our best investments. She helped to make our multicultural fiesta so special for everyone involved. If you want to throw a good party, I high recommend Mary Ann Productions!

Mary Ann was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Our conversations prior to my wedding went smoothly and Mary Ann answered all my questions quickly and with a great sense of humor. I did not have a worry in the world on my wedding day. Mary Ann was professional and fun. She understood the "vibe" I had planned so hard to create at my wedding and went with it. Mary Ann was an amazing DJ! She let us be very involved in the cocktail hour/dinner music and played our must-haves for the reception. She played all of our friends requests and helped keep guests of all ages on the dance floor all night long. She was worth every penny - and incredibly well priced compared to other large companies in the area that probably would not have given us the personal service that she did.

Mary Ann is an angel. When you call; you speak to Mary Ann. When you email; you get Mary Ann. I loved the idea of having interaction throughout my planning process with the actual person providing the service for my wedding. I appreciate how flexible she was with us too in the changes we needed to make with our wedding as well. As for a Dj, I mean what else can I say other than Mary Ann is a bad a$$! She rocked it out for us and I literally spent my night on the dance floor with my friends and family - it was awesome! In no way, shape or form will Mary Ann give you any kind of cheesy DJ talk which was my big pet peeve with other companies. I knew from day one I wanted Mary Ann and Im so so so happy looking back at the time we all had knowing she was able to give us exactly the atmosphere we wanted that night. She really listened to what we had asked for and did everything to cater to our wishes and showed our guests a night out that many have said "was the best wedding they've ever attended." Book her - you will love her!

If you are looking for an amazing DJ look no more. Mary Ann was incredible. She was always available to answer any questions or concerns I had. I knew from the first time I spoke with her that she was going to create the perfect entertainment for my wedding. Mary Ann did a phenomenal job and the music was perfect. I had many compliments about her after the wedding. I would recommend her over and over to any of my friends and if I ever need a DJ again I wouldn't think of anyone else.

There is no one better that Mary Ann. She is so amazing! She could not have made our big day any better. If she has availability on your wedding date you are crazy not to book her. If I had to I would literally change my wedding date just to book her, she is that AMAZING! The dance floor was packed the whole night and my guests can't stop raving about how awesome the DJ was and how much fun they had. I seriously can not recommend anyone more!!!!

I can't say enough about Mary Ann. From the moment we met her, my fiance and I knew that she was everything we were looking for! She is amazing and not your ordinary wedding DJ. The music was phenomenal and everything that we hoped for!! People were dancing all night. We are the type of couple that does not like cliche wedding music...there was certainly none of that! If we could give Mary Ann 10 stars, we would in a heartbeat. Please, please do yourself a favor and book her right now. Our guests were raving about the music before the dance floor even opened up. And, once that happened, my brother--who has been to numerous weddings--said that he's never witnessed that much dancing. My mom literally kicked her heels off at one point so she could join in the fun! Beyond being a wickedly skilled DJ, MA made us feel like chums from our very first interaction. She's professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure our music was perfectly tailored to our personalities as a couple while simultaneously making sure our guests were enjoying themselves, too. That's no easy feat, and she achieved it with elegance, grace, and poise. In short, she totally rocked it.

Mary Ann is the BEST. I was in two weddings before my own where she was the DJ, so when I was planning my own wedding, she was an obvious choice. Not only does she read the crowd perfectly and keep everyone moving all night long, but she's quick to jump in and help bustle a dress, find the ring bearer, keep the caterers moving and even get the bride a glass on wine.

I cannot say enough positive things about her... she will make your special day stress free and a complete blast!

If you haven't booked a wedding DJ yet, Mary Ann Ross should be your first choice. Mary Ann provided her outstanding DJ services for our 11/06/10 wedding. She helped us make our reception classy, fun, and memorable. She worked closely with our day-of coordinator and photographer to make the entire event run smoothly. She played everything we wanted to hear and took tons of requests. Our guests PACKED the dance floor all night long and raved about how much fun they had at our reception! She even found our special version of our first dance song - dancing for the first time with my new husband is one of my favorite memories of the day. What can I say about my experience with Mary Ann Ross....well, she is...AMAZING...WONDERFUL...PHENOMENAL...THE BEST!!! Mary Ann is by far the BEST DJ you could ask for on such an important day (or any day for that matter). Our reception hall offered us a couple different dates and the date we went with was dependent on what date Mary Ann was available, period. A DJ is such a critical part of a successful evening, and a poor or 'all about me' DJ can ruin it. MA is easy going, helpful, professional, classy and above all always making sure you and your guests are having the best time possible. She is concerned with what YOU want. Of course we gave her a list of 'wants' however she filled in the blanks PERFECTLY! I actually had a guest email me after and ask for the play list from the wedding so they could use it for their birthday party! We received SO MANY compliments on what a wonderful DJ she is and people are still asking where we found her!

From the very first phone call she treated us likes friends and not clients. She offered advice, pointed us in the direction of other fabulous vendors and made the reception one we will never forget. Even when the lights went out, she started problem solving and kept the party going. I would entrust any event to her and know with confidence she would ROCK IT! I can't wait to have another reason to hire her or recommend her to a friend!!

I could go on and on with elated excitement about MA but just hire her for yourself and you can share in the excitement!!

MaryAnn was the perfect combination of classy and fun! She was extremely flexible in accomodating all of our venue requests and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day of. We were so confident in her skills that upon meeting MA, we decided to give her full control of the music. She provided great recommendations and kept our dance floor packed all night. Booking Mary Ann to DJ our wedding was the best decision we did to make our wedding fun and classy!

Mary Ann was extremely easy to work with, appropriately priced, hilarious, and extremely professional. The environment she created for our wedding set the tone for everyone to dance all night. She knew that we wanted to keep it classy but still get our groove on, and listened to every request that we had. I recommend letting her take requests and do her thing instead of giving her a list of songs.. I could have never made a playlist that compared to the music she chose. She was amazing!

Mary Ann gave us the classy and fun-filled evening that we were hoping for! Everyone we talked to during the reception and into the weeks following raved about her amazing music selection. All ages and generations were out dancing on the dance floor all night. In addition, her organization skills are top notch. As soon as we walked in the reception hall she was guiding us to the bride’s room and bringing us (the bride and groom) drinks. She always came to talk to us first before moving onto the next event to make sure we were ready (i.e. toasts, cake cutting, etc). The most praise we heard after the wedding is that the music and dancing were amazing and the wedding went off without a hitch. We couldn’t have done it without her!

Dear Brides & Grooms

Congratulations of clicking on Mary Ann's Information. She was hands down the best decision we made in regards to wedding planning.

She not only was flexible, professional, not cheesy, and offered superior service but you truly felt as though she became your friend in the process.

When she saw us walk into the hall (to see it before the guests arrived) she was grinning ear to ear and so excited for us and for our big night!

She was hired as our dj but truly coodinated and set the tone for the entire evening.

For starters...she was able to find someone at the hall to fix my hair before the grand entrance (my hair dresser got sick), arrange my cousin putting on our college mascot outfit, keeping my mother on the dance floor and drink glasses off the dance floor, arranging the entrance of the bridal party where the men all showed off their socks and kept it fun, light and classy. We had a range of 20 somethings through 60 something year olds and everyone said it was the best wedding they had been to in years...

Following the wedding family/friends called my dad and father-in-law (they were the planners) and asked about our DJ-they cannot wait to use her so call her quick!

When the wedding was over people would not leave, they just sat at the tables and were chatting (keep in mind the bar had been closed for an hour!)

I wish MA much continued success and highly urge you to consider her for your wedding reception or any function that you want a strongly professional and genuine dj at.

What Mary Ann brings to a celebration goes far beyond just playing some tunes. She brings class and elegance with her dignified yet fun style. She brings experience and expertise in sensing and influencing the mood of the guests with her music selections. She brings organization and structure to help events of the evening unfold. She brings persistence with a light touch in managing people to do what they should be doing when they should be doing it. She does all of this in a gracious manner without stealing the limelight from the bride and groom. She knows that the evening is all about the wedding couple and the guests having a wonderful time.

I had only one problem with her. The music and bar was supposed to stop at 11:00 p.m. But Mary Ann did such a fantastic job that the dance floor was still packed with guests rocking away. My daughter, the bride, asked me if we could keep it going until midnight. Of course, I could not say no. So the way I see it, Mary Ann cost me some additional money for drinks. But it was well worth it. The dance floor was still full at midnight. We had the time of our life!

I was referred to Mary Ann by Nicole Lakatos at The Colony Club. I was excited at the prospect of having a female DJ & MC. My first meeting with Mary Ann proved promising as I learned that she was highly experienced and had a great approach to her job (namely to keep my guests on the dance floor the entire evening). Furthermore, she was open to my suggestions but also didn't hold back in offering her opinions about what songs to play, etc. I valued her opinions as she knows what people want to hear and what they don't. And she didn't disappoint. She was highly professional throughout the reception and engaged my guests without overpowering the festivities. Mary Ann was professional, prompt and friendly. I couldn't have hoped for a better DJ!

Mary Ann was my ideal DJ. I found her based on a recommendation from my photographer, who assured me that her style was classy and elegant. Our multicultural wedding had us a little concerned that the usual club music could offend a large portion of our guests, but Mary Ann navigated our requests easily and professionally. She kept us on task and on time during the night, kept my friends dancing, and played the music at a volume that did not disturb my parents. Her announcements fit in with the rest of the night, and didn't remind me of the usual pushy DJ trying to get people on the dance floor. Can't say enough about her. Book her immediately!

When I started to look for the music for my wedding, I knew that I wanted a DJ. However, I did not want the typical loud, obnoxious, dragging-people-onto-the-dance-floor DJ. I wanted someone who was elegant and sophisticated, yet super fun with an energy that wasn't over the top. I found that person in Mary Ann. She brought such a cool vibe to my wedding. She was amazing – incredibly smooth and professional. The music entertainment/dancing portion of my wedding went completely perfect. She played all the songs on my "must have" list, and knew enough of what kind of music I would approve and disapprove of, that when my guests made requests, I didn't have to worry about hearing something that I didn't want being played. She just instinctively knew my tastes based on the type of music I'd requested :).

I had so many people compliment me on Mary Ann, just how absolutely delightful she was. Mary Ann also bought new music that we had requested especially for our last dance, and it was definitely a beautiful way to end our evening. I will never forget it.

I honestly could not recommend her more highly. If you are looking for a complete professional, that can keep a crowd entertained without the cheese factor, Mary Ann is definitely the right choice. I could not have been happier.

Mary Ann was fabulous to work with. Not only did she do a great job at keeping the guests on the dance floor but she really helped keep the day moving. While I was waiting in the Peppino Room to walk down the aisle Mary Ann came up to check on me while I waited and asked if I needed anything. She is now offering day of coordination services and even though I didn’t officially use her for that I would highly recommend her for that service. Like I said before she really kept things moving for the day and kept everyone on time. If I had to do it all over again I would have used her for that service as well. I can’t say enough great things about her!

On a side note if you are a Pine Knob bride I highly recommend using Mary Ann because she knows that place inside and out which is really important for that venue.

Mary Ann is awesome. It is a breath of fresh air to have a women as a DJ. She really takes the time to get to know you and she understands the stress a bride is under on her wedding day. She saw that I was getting tired and ended our reception a little early so that I could get some rest. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

She was perfect. Everyone will LOVE her and have a blast!!! Her selections are all very timely - not only does she know what to play when but she has a HUGE variety of songs - not just your typical wedding music or outdated greatest hits. We were very impressed and so were many of our guests that complimented us on our DJ. She adds such a good vibe to the big event and is very genuine with her interest in you and your big day. Nothing cheesy or overbearing about her - yet she controls the party and runs the show beautifully! A+++++

We LOVE Mary Ann!!! We were the 9th wedding in our family to use Mary Ann, that's how much we adore her. She plays great music and is willing to do whatever we needed. She took care of all our special requests and helped to make our reception one of the best ever!
