I wanted a mix of both flowers and plants throughout our designs, and they delivered this vision beautifully, creating arrangements that felt lush, organic, and thoughtfully curated. I also requested a last-minute color palette change, and they executed it flawlessly. Everything felt cohesive, elevated, and even better than I imagined. The florals were breathtaking: airy, seasonal, and garden-inspired with a natural elegance. Knowing their commitment to responsible, local sourcing made it even more meaningful. Absolutely beautiful florals and amazing to work with!
Our experience working with Kate and Maple & Mum for our 10/12/24 wedding at the Wadsworth Mansion was nothing short of amazing. The florals were even better than we could have imagined, and Kate completely nailed our vision. Our ceremony flowers, and especially our flower arch, were so spectacular and looked amazing against the backdrop of the great lawn. Our bouquets were stunning and our bridesmaids all raved about them. Thank YOU Kate for all your incredible work, we loved the floral arrangements on our wedding day. We were bummed when 70 degree sunny weather all week turned into a crazy thunderstorm all day on our wedding day, and we were forced to move the ceremony and all photos indoors. But thanks to Kate's incredible arrangements we could bring nature inside, and it was magical! I cannot believe how she was able to understand a vision I had but couldn't put into words, and she made it even more beautiful than I could have imagined. For a while I was leaning towards doing my own flowers and then my coordinator suggested I look into Maple & Mum and I'm so glad I did. I got married at The Owenego in Branford and there is a gorgeous, natural landscaping that I really wanted to compliment with our wedding flowers and Kate did an amazing job doing just that. My bridal bouquet was the perfect, simple yet whimsical arrangement. And my bridesmaids bouquets mismatched perfectly. Kate was so professional and friendly as well. We were lucky enough to have Kate and Maple+Mum create our floral design for our special day and everything was absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking. Kate from Maple and Mum was such a pleasure to work with! Kate was able to understand exactly what we were looking for and create the most beautiful flower arrangements for us. I had quite a few guests call to ask about her for their future use.
Kates flexibility was appreciated when we made last minute changes and additions and she was perfectly accommodating. Her prices were reasonable and the quality of her flowers were excellent. I would use Kate and her crew again without question. Thank you Kate! -

Kate and her team brought my wedding vision to reality.
While in the initial stages of wedding planning, I knew that having real flowers was a priority for me. For our Indian/American fusion wedding, our vision for florals included a mandap (Indian arch) densely covered in colorful pink ombré flowers/greens, which was the focal point that we set the rest of our decor around. Kate provided excellent communication via email and phone calls throughout the planning process and was very receptive to feedback and ideas. She sat down with me and really got to understand what I was envisioning for our wedding day. Kate was able to put together a vision board that met my expectations. I was able to bounce ideas off of her and had so much fun getting creative with centerpieces and other decor. The bridesmaids bouquets were more beautiful than I could have imagined. I told Kate I wanted bouquets that matched the ceremony florals and give off summer garden vibes, but that I wasn’t picky about types of flowers used. The lush bouquets she put together were a perfect fit for an elegant summer wedding. When I walked into the ceremony space, I was truly in awe of the beautiful mandap that Kate and her team had created. We got married in a gorgeous outdoor space with a stunning view, but all eyes immediately fell on the mandap. I received so many compliments from guests on how stunning the ceremony set up was. I 100% recommend Maple and Mum for their professionalism and creativity. -

We got married this past weekend and I could not wait any longer to share our amazing experience with Kate at Maple and Mum.
Ever since day 1, Kate has been the most attentive, patient, and kind person to work with. Florals were the last vendor I booked because I had no idea what our vision was and it was a super daunting task for me! Kate was there to help me understand everything, go through all my changes (sorry there were so many hehe), and literally made my dream come true.
We walked in the reception area and the whole bridal party audibly gasped. Every. Single. Floral arrangement was BREATHTAKING. The attention to detail and Kate’s beautiful design is so glaring. My now husband and I were just fawning over everything the entire night. I was staring at my bouquet the whole day! (Like how you stare at your engagement ring when you first get engaged- yeah that was me and my bouquet)
Kate- thank you for reading my mind and transforming the ballroom into an image I made up in my mind. It was perfection and we could not imagine our day without you.

Maple & Mum was amazing to work with-- I worked with Kate, and she was so professional, so graceful and so calm. I contacted her with pretty short notice, I think it was within a month of our proposed date for our small, home, wedding. The flowers were beautiful. I felt confident in my decision to work with Kate, and she, and the flowers she curated and arranged, still surpassed my expectations. They were fresh and arranged expertly, and dropped off and fixed up without fuss. Our big arrangement really anchored our space in the living room where the ceremony was. We used my bouquet as the balancing arrangement after I walk in from the hall (my only mess-up--on my part-- was: I put the bouquet in water before the ceremony, as I needed to put a cloth napkin around the stems to prevent getting water on my gown! Rookie mistake!). We also had a few old (family heirloom) bud vases that Kate arranged that morning, with some lovely stems, and a hair comb made up with some (fresh!) coordinating flowers as well, that held up beautifully and made me feel elegant! All in all I would highly recommend Maple & Mum. I found their work professional, (and truly beautiful) and I really appreciated Kate's kind and thoughtful attitude. -

Hire them! You will not be sorry. Maple & Mum were recommended to us by our wedding planner, and as soon as my mother and I looked at their website, we knew it was the perfect fit. The arrangements are unique and stunning. We worked together on a vision board, and they were so receptive to all of our comments, but I don't think I could have ever prepared myself for how STUNNING the arrangements came out -- they were out of my head and into my wedding! Between the bouquets, the flower crowns, the planters, the table arrangements, and the show-stopping arbor, I was in heaven. I honestly would not have changed a thing. And I never wanted them to go away! Kate is truly an artist, and I just cannot recommend them enough. The photos attached hopefully do them justice, but you are in such good hands with the team at Maple & Mum, and we cannot thank them enough for making our wedding day so stunning. Thank you! -

We went with Kate after she was recommended by our vendor's preferred florist (who was already booked) and we are so happy we did! Kate was very easy to work with and was very up front about pricing, which I greatly appreciated after meeting with another florist who tried pulling one over on us. She worked within our budget and was very patient with my mother who came into planning VERY late and had tons of questions during our final meeting.
The day of, the florals were GORGEOUS. I cannot tell you how much I loved my bouquet. I didn't really have any vision in mind for the florals and let Kate take the lead and wow she hit the mark. She also did an amazing job with the greenery pieces for the fireplaces at our venue.
Kate and her work was absolutely amazing and I would recommend her to anyone! -

10/10 RECOMMEND WORKING WITH MAPLE AND MUM! They did a phenomenal job. On top of sitting through multiple calls to understand our vision, Kate was also so considerate of our budget and was transparent about what was possible or not, or simply that she would make sure that it was going to be beautiful no matter what. That said, we put our full trust in Kate’s judgment and let her take the reins because although we had an idea of what we wanted, I know nothing about the specific types of flowers! Needless to say, everything was beyond our expectations and absolutely stunning. Kate is so kind, flexible, and easy to work with. I was so grateful to have worked with Maple & Mum. -

Don’t walk, run as fast as you can to hire Kate from Maple and Mum to be your florist. From day one, Kate was so communicative and clear. I waffled quite a bit with what a wanted, and I never felt like I was annoying or bothering Kate. She answered my questions, shared her ideas, and made adjustments accordingly. One of my absolute favorite things that Kate did was actually come to my parent’s home (where my wedding was held) to do a walk through of the property and sit down with us and really flesh things out. I felt so confident in Kate’s ability to deliver everything I had envisioned. She did more than that. The centerpieces bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages were so stunning that we gasped audibly. When my fiancé and I walked into our tent, I started crying. It was as if I had walked into a magical garden. Every detail clearly matters to Kate. She is an artist and it was not lost on us and our guests. Each person I spoke with gushed about the flowers and her design. When I worked with Kate, I felt that she truly cared about our wedding, not simply this being a job. I could go on forever about how amazing Kate is, but the bottom line is that I am forever grateful to her for making our day truly come alive -

When we thought about our dream wedding, we always imagined an abundance of flowers and greens. We wanted to feel like nature surrounded us. Kate translated all of our notes into a beautiful inspiration board. She understood how our day focused on family and proposed including a collection of heirloom milk glass into our floral story! Kate and Nancy worked so well with our wedding planner, shout out to Diana at Jubilee Events for helping us select Maple + Mum! We love that Kate sources most of her flowers and greens from Connecticut and New England. They helped transform our venue – the Gallaher Estate in Cranbury Park, Norwalk, CT – into an earthy, whimsical paradise. Kate and Nancy excel at all aspects of their business, from answering emails and staying on budget to pinning on flowers and assembling arches. They executed their work way beyond expectations with astounding creativity. They dedicated their weekend to us and we will forever feel grateful to them! Thank you so much! (And don’t miss their flower truck for major holidays! Flowers were not at the top of our wedding expenses list, but I am so glad we chose to work with Maple & Mum because their phenomenal work was worth every single penny. Kate and Nancy created the most gorgeous, unique, and tailored-to-us florals we could have asked for. After talking with them about what we imagined, they sent us back a vision board which was fantastic to start with- but they took our feedback and completely knocked it out of the park. When they showed up on our wedding day with the final pieces, we were completely blown away. We even went back outside in the rain the next day to take one last photo under the incredible ceremony arch they designed. We can't recommend them highly enough! -

Exceptional service and beautiful work!
Working with Kate was an excellent experience from start to finish. My husband and I were planning our wedding from across the country in less than 8 months so we did not have the luxury of meeting all of our vendors face to face.
When I first spoke to Kate on the phone, I just knew right away that I liked her and wanted to work with her. She was so sweet and super enthusiastic about my vision (which changed a few times during the planning process)! Not only was Kate flexible, accommodating and timely in responding to my emails, but she is truly passionate about her work and it showed all the way through.
Kate was also able to provide all the 'extra' stuff. I thought I was going to have to purchase candles, wooden crates, etc. to execute my vision but Kate was able to provide all of it!
On the day of our wedding, Kate and her team truly did amazing job with everything. There was no detail overlooked. The flowers were fresh and beautiful, the bouquets were arranged so thoughtfully and the garland table runners were stunning (I still can't get over them)! We couldn't have been more pleased with how everything turned out. Oh and Kate was just as sweet and wonderful in person :)

I love the fact that she took some time to get to know my husband and me as a couple, rather than just running through my Pinterest and diving straight into the various floral arrangements we might want. She showed genuine interest in our story and was really thoughtful in laying out a plan to incorporate various floral and leafy elements to reflect that story in the arrangements she created. My husband and I are both detail-oriented and while planning our wedding we put a lot of thought into what we were doing and WHY – I loved that Kate brought a similar approach to her work and I think it really showed in her gorgeous creations.
Working with Kate was a total pleasure, from our initial conversation to her super organized and transparent proposal (it made a HUGE difference having a clear understanding of what the big ticket items were, where adjustments were possible and how they would affect overall price, etc.) to all of our back-and-forth. I felt completely comfortable leaving all the flower choices and designs in Kate’s hands (in spite of my control-freak tendencies) and loved knowing that she would be working with local growers to source local flowers. She was also really flexible (and super helpful) in working out and constructing our somewhat unconventional table centerpieces.
And ohhh my goodness, Kate’s work is AMAZING!! Everyone raved about the flowers, from the MOB/MOG cuff corsages to the riotously beautiful bridal bouquet, which was bursting with color and had the wild, natural feel that I had wanted. Kate is really ingenious in harmonizing the range of textures and shapes and colors that she does in her arrangements.
Thank you so much for making our wedding beautiful, Kate! I can’t recommend Maple and Mum highly enough!!

Briana Sent on 07/03/2018Maple and Mum is the absolute best! Not only is Kate supper talented in what she does but she is so sweet and was such a pleasure to work with! Our flowers were everything I could have imagined and then some! She even made our dog the cutest flower collar I have ever seen, it put the ones I found on Pinterest to shame ;). Kate really personalized everything she did for us and took time to get to know us as a couple and what we liked! An awesome experience and highly recommend!

I was planning my wedding from across the country, and Kate & Nancy made the whole process so easy. I gave them a few photos of inspiration, but I was blown away by the end result! The flowers were breathtaking and unique, and I received so many compliments. They provided bouquets, a birch arch and flowers, corsages, boutonnieres, centerpiece decor and cake flowers. I could not have imagined more perfect flowers, or a more easygoing duo! I also love that they use all local, seasonal flowers. I 100% recommend Maple and Mum!

Kate and Nancy were a joy to work with, extremely professional, and quickly respond to every need! They were able to make my vision come to life even better than I could have imagined. Highly recommend to all future brides! Oh and forgot to mention the birch arbor, my favorite detail!!

Both women are very professional, creative and accommodating, which made the entire process easy, fun and completely enjoyable. They work with locally sourced flowers, and work very hard to make your vision come to fruition! They did my flower crown for my shower, my hair piece for the wedding, our boutonnieres, our bouquets and the reception flowers. All were absolutely incredible and so perfectly done, and very reasonably priced. I know this sounds too good to be true, but they really are gems! I highly recommend Kate and Nancy, and cant wait to work with them in the future! I actually just bought one of their Autumn Wreaths as well! -

From my first phone call with the owner Kate, I knew I was in good hands. Kate was professional, knowledgeable, and down to earth; I felt like I was talking to an old friend right from the start. I knew very little when it came to floral design and Kate helped me navigate the process easily.Through a few phone consultations and vision boards, Kate helped me bring my vision to life. Maple and Mum worked with by budget and even offered cost-saving suggestions to help maximize the florals for my wedding day. I loved how flexible and easy going Kate was. I called her the day before my wedding because I ended up needing 40 gold small votive for tables last minute and she came the rescue! THANK YOU Kate Brunson for making floral design the easiest piece of the wedding planning process!!
