Wedding Reception

Mangia catering provided scrumptious food and excellent service. The staff was friendly and attentive to the needs of our guests. Should another occasion arise, I would not hesitate to hire Mangia again!

Amazing Food and service!

Professional, easy to work with, and very knowledgeable

We used Mangia Catering for the rehearsal dinner and Sunday brunch. Everything was absolutely delicious, on time, etc..... I had cancelled a tent a week before and there ended up being a shower the Sunday morning of the brunch, Tim was able to find me a tent when no other rental company had one. I highly recommend Mangia Catering for any event!!

Exceptional!

Mangia catering was a pleasure to work with. It was incredible to have food made fresh on site for our guests. We added the smores bar and everyone loved it. They were professional, friendly and executed everything as promised. All my guests commented on the food. I highly recommend!

Amazing Staff

Once the Mangia team arrived my fiancé and I were able to relax and enjoy our incredibly beautiful wedding! The dinner was exceptional and the staff were professional, friendly and attentive. We would highly recommend Mangia!

Wood fired pizza!

To start off, the Mangia staff are great! I had lots of questions and concerns and they handled them all really well. We had wood fired pizza, bread, salad, passed/plated appetizers and Non-alcoholic beverages served. The food quality and taste was great. The passed apps were really good. The only thing that we would say is that it took way longer than we expected to make all the pizza (not sure what we expected/maybe this is normal). It seemed like there was always a long line to get pizza but it was definitely tasty. All of our guests were pleased. We were happy to have Mangia as apart of our wedding team.

Delicious, easy to contact, timely

The food was so good! We chose the Italian feast and it was perfect! I stole my husbands roll because they were so tasty. During the planning they were very helpful with how often and quickly they responded and made sure everything was how I wanted it and they have different decorations and set ups for different styled weddings which I thought was cool. They also offer an open bar which we used and made it super easy to serve alcohol and there’s an option to get dessert through them as well which makes everything really simple. They were on time and all the staff was really nice.

Amazing Caterers!

We worked with Tim at Mangia for our client's rehearsal dinner and couldn't have been happier! The food was delicious and the service was so friendly. Cannot recommend them enough! :)

Destination wedding catering, 4 events in 2 days!

Mangia made our event absolutely memorable with their catering services! Everyone was talking about how delicious the food was and being a destination wedding we really wanted our guests to feel it was worth the travel for food & drinks alone! Their attention to detail was next level and everything was always organized ahead of time, ON TIME, and with impeccable service! If we ever plan an event in the area again we'll for sure use Mangia again!

We were extremely happy with Tim and his crew! People are still talking about the potato bar! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for high quality service, stellar and delicious food, and someone who will nail the small details. Exceeded Expectations

We hired Tim and the team at Mangia to cater two nights, back to back for our wedding celebration. We also used them to handle our rental of tables and chairs etc. Our location was remote and we asked for two completely different meals and atmospheres for each night - they did not disappoint. Friday night was exactly what we had hoped for with a delicious Mexican themed meal and Saturday exceeded all of our expectations - a fantastic meal for 120 people - they didn't miss a thing. They also handled the rentals in a professional and timely manner. Thank you Tim for a great effort and helping us create a wonderful weekend for our guests!

Washington Trust Bank Customer Appreciation Day

They were very professional to work with and also very flexible. I had to change the location of the event and they changed to the new location with no problems. The food was delicious and prepared on time. The service was great. I would definitely use them again!

Wonderful Experience with Mangia Catering

After my first caterer unexpectedly backed out, I found Mangia Catering through their excellent reviews and was relieved to find that they were still available for my wedding day. Tim was extremely easy to work with and very accommodating to my unique wish for a Mexican/Asian fusion menu. He was very open to trying recipes that he had never heard of before and pulled off an incredible food experience that my guests still talk about to this day. The food aspect of my wedding was very important to me and my husband because we're huge foodies and Mangia Catering definitely delivered.

Mangia Catering has performed the catering for my company holiday party the past 3 year for a site of 600 people. They are amazing to work with as not only do they take care of our meal needs, but have helped in securing tables, chairs, linens, and make our party days go very smoothly. The value cannot be beat. I sourced over 15 companies this year and still no one can beat Mangia when it comes to quality, quantity, and ease of use. Mangia catered out rehersal dinner and wedding reception. We went with the wood fired pizza from their pizza oven and hampton salad station. The food was amazing and they were very professional. The staff was very friendly and I would highly recommend them for any wedding or event!

Outstanding organization and owner

Mangia was not only a stand up operation catering for 160+ people the owner/manager Tim did such a fantastic job he actually even helped up find our event center. We never felt overwhelmed or we were behind because of Tim's great ability to communicate as well insure us that everything on his end will be handled. Mangia will be used by us for future events as well. I'd recommend him for another Wedding or even any sort of large event. MANGIA CATERING is a professional 5☆ business!

Tim & his team were amazing!

We needed to feed 600+ people breakfast and Mangia Catering delivered! So many compliments on the food and I didn't have to worry about a thing, I was able to focus on the other parts of the event that I was responsible for. Tim and his team handled feeding everyone his delicious waffles w/ toppings & bacon. Tim was easy to get a hold of, very responsive and showed up on time for an early set-up. I couldn't have done it without them!

Amazing experience and attention to detail.

Tim was amazing. Hosting a corporate event in Idaho while living in Missouri made me a little nervous. Tim eased that for me right away going above and beyond to ensure I knew the event would be amazing. He even made a trip to the venue for me to see it in person to ensure we had all we needed. He arranged all the seating, linens, rental items and of course provided a five star meal and had the most lovely and welcoming staff assisting him. We are looking forward to hosting another event with Tim in 2019. I highly recommend him!

VIP Events

Cabela's has used Mangia for many years for our VIP events. Year after year they have proven to be top notch! Everything from elk sliders to wood fired pizza, (to name a few) did NOT disappoint! Staff is polite, professional and amazing. Always a pleasure to work with Mangia! I would highly recommend them for your catering needs.

When we made our list of most important things for our wedding; food was in the top 3. It was destination for us and when people travel they want good food. I solely relied on photos and reviews when I selected Mangia catering. No taste testing. Luckily there were a lot of reviews stating how amazing the food is.

Mangia took care of our rehearsal dinner and our wedding day food. We didn’t have a cake so we had them do our dessert as well. Tim was extremely accommodating for us. There were many challenges (narrow driveway, limited space for set-up, etc) but he just rolled with it. You really need a vendor like this on your wedding day. The last thing you want to worry about is making more decisions and giving direction. Thank you, Tim and Mangia Team for making it all happen!! The food was extremely good. There were debates going on which pizza was the best at rehearsal.. I think the Idaho won but the Thai chicken was a close second.

Tim and staff went above and beyond to make my daughter's wedding such a special day. Bride and groom are both WSU grads and the Cougar Gold Mac & Cheese bar was a HUGE hit, as were the Huckleberry BBQ chicken breasts, and pulled pork. Our guests said it was the BEST wedding food they have ever had! Thank you Mangia Catering!!!

They were absolutely incredible. The number of my guests changed from 150 to 250 and they helped me with no problem! I didn't taste the food and was nervous but it was outstanding (some of the best tacos ever!). We had 6 staff members and each were so amazing. They cooked all the meat on location and it was delicious. They are hard workers who made my wedding even more incredible. I cannot express how amazing this company is. I would recommend them to anyone. Absolutely incredible!!!

We use Mangia for our corporate lunches about once a month (service for 55 people, so not a small group) and they always provide amazing service and quality. Our staff loves everything they provide and always request more. They accommodate all of our special requests and unlike other vendors actually mark the trays that are gluten free and vegetarian making selection easy for attendees. Their Huckleberry BBQ Chicken and Red Potato Salad is a must have!! We look forward to their visits and would use them every day if our budget allowed. Dean and Tim make sure all of our needs are met with a smile.

Save the headache of "thinking" about booking - just book! They were amazing! They worked with my theme and made it even better by incorporating suggestions that my guests loved. They were extremely responsive and all the "little" touches and extras like decorating their table and menu placards were fantastic.

Mangia did a superb job catering our daughter's September wedding. Owner Tim Mitchell did a great job of helping us develop a delightful menu of appetizers, entrees, and sides from an extensive selection of dishes, and we heard nothing but wonderful comments about the quality of the food and its presentation from the wedding guests and the owners of the venue. Entrees and other hot dishes were prepared on site, and it was obvious Tim and his staff cared about making our event a success. Tim made things very easy for us by handling the delivery of the cake and all other rental items, and his servers kept everything looking great and running smoothly. Cost was very competitive with other vendors, and we think we got the premier caterer in the area! We would highly recommend Mangia. Thanks again, Tim!

Oh my goodness the food was scrumptious and the hors d'oeuvres were such a hit! They arrived early to set up and the food was so fresh and deliciously cooked. The summer BBQ buffet was just what we hoped for in our barn wedding. Thank you for also working with us on our rehearsal dinner. The Italian feast was the perfect combo of light yet satisfying, and that chicken was so moist! We did not taste test beforehand and only went off their remarkable reviews, and we're so glad we did. We understand why everyone rants and raves about your food, we do too now!

Professional and personable. I like that Tim was calm and collected while cooking, never rushed or frazzled. Mangia Catering is great to work with and very accommodating. Great food and great presentation!

We chose Magia Catering because they are a member of the Post Falls Chamber. Tim was incredibly helpful as we batted several ideas back and forth, and finally came up with a plan that worked for all. We appreciate the extra savings he created for us. The service before and at the event was beyond amazing. There were three (!) people serving at our event, all lovely and friendly, which delighted our guests. They even cleared tables! We appreciate that the left over food was bagged up (we forgot to bring bags - but Mangia covered that) and given to us. The food was fantastic!!! We will definitely be using Mangia Catering in the future.

Ken and his staff was amazing! We were coordinating from out of the area for a wedding reception. Ken helped us set up everything from a specialized food menu for our "ranch theme" to directing us to a bakery for customized flavored wedding cake. Ken previewed location, set up was flawless, a bartender for wine and beer, and the food was delicious. Perfection! On time, great food, and service!

We picked Mangia Catering for a small wedding reception in our backyard. They were professional and accommodating to our needs. The brick oven pizza was a great choice and the guests loved it. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic wedding catering.

Tim and the team at Mangia Catering are absolutely fantastic and so easy to work with. They are professional, timely, and worked hard to make sure everything was just right. We utilized their rental services for table linens, place settings, and chairs. Everything arrived the day before leaving us plenty of time to set up. They accompanied my husband’s and my love for cheesecake in the desserts and blew everyone away with the “mini cheesecake bites.” Our Larger cheesecake was beautiful and delicious as well! To top it all off, the food was SO delicious, beyond our expectations. Because they cook it on site, everything was fresh and hot. I received multiple comments after the wedding from guests saying that was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. We had 275 attendees and that’s no small feat to make that many servings taste so delicious but they did it! I would highly recommend Mangia to anyone looking for a caterer or more of an all service package like we had.

Delicious!

We had such an amazing experience with Mangia. We planned a destination wedding and didn’t get the opportunity to try the food until the night of the event. Everything went smoothly, Tim was so helpful, and the rest of the staff were professional! The food was incredible and EVERY guest at our wedding has commented (multiple times) on how delicious the food was!

Tim was amazing from start to finish. He made a completely custom menu with us, worked within our budget, and then came to our wedding and not only insured everything was perfect but also worked the event! I would highly recommend Mangia catering. We were told at least 10 times by our guests that Mangia served the best wedding food they had ever had.

Tim and Mangia were very helpful and flexible with the many many changes that had to happen to our wedding because of the COVID pandemic.

They helped tremendously with finding a quality venue, and giving us options that fit our budget.

The food was top notch. Mangia made our wedding delicious, and special. We highly recommend them.

They were great to work with. They created a meal in our budget, were very professional and the food was excellent! A storm came up pretty fast and blew the tent away and they had to move under a car port. They were calm, stayed professional and didn't miss a beat. Everyone loved the food and having a pizza oven on site was a huge hit.

We hired Mangia for a small appetizer-only cocktail event. Despite booking them only a few weeks ahead of time they were very professional and helpful throughout our communication. The food was delicious and the service was quick and professional!

We found Mangia by the peach cobbler on their menu. Neither of us are into cake, but love cobbler, so that was our main focus in finding a caterer. Turned out their main dishes are just as delicious! We had marsala chicken, with green beans and potatoes. All our guests loved the food. There was enough food for 20 extra serving, but we ended the night with no leftovers.

For our wedding we had the brick oven pizza. We loved the food and people even said it was the best pizza they had ever had!! We would definitely recommend Mangia Catering!!

Mangia worked so well with us, even on a limited budget. We ordered off of their more "economical" menu, and the food was still really high quality and delicious. Tim was incredible responsive through email, and was flexible as our meal times and guest numbers changed. At the wedding, the Mangia team managed to have food ready almost 30 minutes before we had planned (!) and really impressed our guests with their service. What little leftovers we had were packaged by Mangia, saving my "clean up crew" (aka helpful family members) so much time after my husband and I left. Overall, I am incredible satisfied with Mangia and would recommend them to anyone within range-- we had our wedding about 1.5-2 hours away from Coeur D'Alene!

They did a great job with set up and the brick fire pizza service was a huge hit! I was worried about not having enough foo but they did a great job and there was pizza left over for people to take home with them. Would use them again, no hesitation.

Great food, very well put together. We requested special Wagu Beef and Tim was happy to accommodate! I would HIGHLY recommend the late night pizza station. The pizza was fantastic and a huge hit at the wedding, also nice for a remote wedding since there is no where someone can go for a late night snack. All the food that was catered was spot on and delicious!
Only negative was delayed response. We were trying to plan ahead so we wouldn't have a chaotic month before the wedding. Mangia seemed to want to wait until 30 days out to do a lot besides menu and ordering reception ware. maybe we were high maintenance but that is also what we paid for. Also, tried to get a site visit done and Tim asked us the day before the wedding if he could come by and see the venue (private residence). Not only had we been trying to get a site visit for over a month, but we were busy with family, friends, rehearsal.... Seemed like an inappropriate time for a site visit.
Overall, def a 4.5/5 and would highly recommend.

Make sure you as questions before the wedding season starts because after June they are not as good about getting back to you.

A few miscommunications, but okay overall

We had pizza at our wedding, which was great. There was ONE thing that I would pass along to anyone considering them. Verify that they will work with food allergies. When we set up everything, we did it with the owner himself. We told him about one person who needed a dairy free pizza, and another that needed gluten free. When the company came to the venue, it was employees, not the owner who we discussed everything with. Neither the dairy free nor the gluten free pizzas were made, forcing those guests to eat leftover lunchmeat and salad that we rounded up. There was some kind of miscommunication behind the scenes to the employees that brought the food. This was disappointing. Other than that, the pizza was wonderful, everyone was very nice, and we had a good experience. Just verify with the caterer day of if you have guest allergies, otherwise, they are great!

Alright Until the End

Mangia catering was great until the end. The caterer just started packing all the food away and left without speaking to anyone. One of our guest saw them pack the leftover food and started eating it them selves. I sent an email 3 days after our wedding day and it took 2 weeks for me to get a response saying there were only a few pieces of pizza left... uhh then why didn't they just leave it if that is all that was left?
