Gorgeous Wedding Hair Updo!

Love love love my wedding hair updo by Gina with Makiaj beauty! I got so many compliments on my hair throughout the day and it stayed in place all night. I showed her a photo and she made it look even better than the photo! Gina was very sweet and easy to work with. She came early and was professional! Super happy I chose Makiaj for my hair!

Diana and the rest of the team were absolutely incredible! Their talent was unmatched, and they made me feel so confident and beautiful on my wedding day. Not only did they bring my vision to life, but they also kept everything perfectly on schedule—if not even a bit ahead. They listened closely to exactly what I wanted and delivered flawlessly. When one of my bridesmaids needed a touch-up or wanted to tweak something, they were more than willing to accommodate. The whole experience was seamless, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to help me feel my best on such an important day!

I cannot say enough good things about Makiaj Beauty!! I am so happy I chose them for my hair & makeup for my wedding! Diana did such an amazing job and is literally the sweetest! Monika is an absolute treasure! We all adored her. She was fun, upbeat, happy, helpful, accommodating. It honestly felt like we were getting our makeup done with a friend. Perfect Bridal Hair & Makeup

I booked Makiaj Beauty for my wedding and it was the best decision I could have made. Isa was my master artist and not only is she extremely talented, she is also very sweet and was a great hype girl for my wedding day! Her second, Monica, was also fabulous and they made an incredible team. All of my bridesmaids and my mom loved their hair and makeup, and they looked stunning. Best beauty salon

I’ve been seeing Danielle for quite some time; I can’t say enough to describe how truly amazing she is! She is one of a kind artist! I love her energy and her beautiful spirit, always! She is so talented at what she does…always patient with me, listening to me and executing the best looks for me! There is not one time Danielle has done my makeup where I did not get MANY compliments- she works magic!

For my brother’s wedding last week, she teamed up with Michaela, who did my hair- they are the DREAM TEAM! Michaela is also an artist who I adore and is super talented! That night they executed the Hollywood look on me and what can I tell you- I truly felt so glamorous and got complements all night. They are true artists and 1000% recommend them!

Gorgeous wedding hair and makeup

I used Makiaj Beauty for my wedding hair and makeup and had an amazing experience. Vanessa and Lena were extremely helpful when I was booking our services. We used Michaela for our hair and makeup and I would give her 6 stars if I could. Michaela was so kind, professional, knowledgeable and I could tell she is passionate and loves what she does. My bridal hair and makeup was exactly what I wanted - classic, glow-y, glamorous, clean, natural - just perfect. We had Michaela for my bridal hair and makeup and 4 bridesmaids hair and makeup and my mother-in-laws hair and makeup. Everyone loved their wedding looks! I did book Makiaj about 3 months prior to my wedding and I am lucky they were available. They are the BEST in Arizona so I would recommend booking them as far as you can to ensure they are available!

The best hair and makeup of my life!

I am blown away by the artists at Makiaj. The “Maki Fam” IS a true FAM. A very cute tagline-and it’s genuine.

TLDR:

The deets:
Having a wedding across the country meant I did my makeup and hair trial the week of the wedding. I missed my flight (first time ever and seemed fitting it’d happen for my wedding week.) So we rebooked and that meant I was going to run a little late for my trial. I emailed and texted the Makiaj team giving them a heads up. My travel day ended up getting worse with rental car delays and an airport evacuation? I ended up being an HOUR LATE to my appointment. Coming from the NYC area I know even 15 minutes late can get you booted, and regardless of where you’re located, being this late is just not acceptable. I was so embarrassed and felt HORRIBLE. I was fully prepared for the artists to say “hey sorry we can’t take you anymore” OR if they could only do HALF of the work, I was mentally prepared to be happy with just my makeup trial and skipping the hair.

I walked in, profusely apologizing to Danielle and Diana because I was so late. They were SO inviting and nice and didn’t make me feel bad ONE BIT about being late. I honestly was shocked. I can’t think of anywhere else I’ve been where someone would be this gracious. I lucked out big time. It’s how I would want to treat others and I was so grateful. Danielle and Diana didn’t half ass it with me, they made me feel so special.

Then on wedding day I had Danielle and Ayleen who took care of me and the most special women in my life!! My mom, Kayla, Molly, Maeve, Martyna, Meg. They all looked SO stunning. Everyone was gorgeous. Pictures were perfect.

Thank you Maki Fam! I only wish we lived closer so I could hang out with you all and enjoy your work more! For a special night or a wedding, they’re a dream. ✨

I found Makiaj Beauty while searching for vendors on Instagram and was floored by their hair and makeup transformations. Within minutes of filling out the interest form on their website, I received a phone call from Jazlyn and Vanessa asking about my wedding and engagement. Planning a destination wedding, I really had to trust my vendors and the ladies of Makiaj Beauty were wonderful to work with!! Vanessa is truly an artist and made me feel like so much more than just another client.

Freeman Wedding

Everyone was AMAZING. I got married on Black Friday and had a large group of girls (including moms) that needed full hair and makeup. My bridesmaids looked stunning and everyone including myself was ready with time to spare. This beautiful makeup team came to us at my venue early Friday morning and stayed with me until the final touches were needed. I changed my hairstyle the morning of my wedding because I lost my hair piece and Janet did an amazing job at making sure the look was exactly everything I dreamed of and more. Everyone is very positive and makes sure you feel relaxed and pampered on your special day. I wouldn't trust anyone else but this talented team to make my girls and I look our best for the big day. Early bird got the worm

The day after my now husband proposed to me, an old friend/coworker Vanessa had congratulated us and I thought of how I wanted her to do my hair and makeup for wedding day! I didn’t book as soon as I should’ve because the only opening they had for my wedding day was super early in the morning at their shop. So my sister and best friend joined me at 5am on wedding day for hair and makeup because I refused to have anyone else doll me up! Vanessa is THAT great at what she does. Plus, she’s so cute and fun to be around. Her and the other girls who teamed up to get us ready were so upbeat considering how early in the morning it was! They also sent us with a little touch up kit to get us by until ceremony time. I barely touched up, I just had to use a setting spray a few times throughout the morning, which is saying a lot because I have very oily skin! In any case, these girls are amazing at what they do and I plan to have Vanessa doll me up for other occasions!

Stays on & looks amazing!

Two words: It stays!!! I had a trial session with Vanessa and she was also my MUA for the day-of. Her and Jaz were fun to be around and experts in wedding makeup! I learned very quickly from the trial session that there would be no need for touch ups as my makeup stayed on from 10am till midnight! Vanessa also makes you feel very comfortable for someone who is not very experienced with having makeup done or even touching your face! I hope I can find another reason to get pampered by her again!

I am so happy I went with Makiaj Beauty!!! My experience with them was excellent, from start to finish! I am a WOC and I was a little worried finding a MUA, I wanted to make sure that I could work with a MUA that was familiar with my skin tone and knew what colors and techniques would work best. I did a lot of research and finally decided to reach out to Makiaj Beauty. I had my makeup trial with Marlene about a month before my wedding, she was such a pleasure to work with! She was very patient and attentive and she was able to help create the look I was going for. I hired Makiaj Beauty for most of my bridal party (6 out of the 8 of them) along with my mom and aunt. They glammed all of my girls up and I was so pleased to hear that everyone was happy with their looks! It was really impressive. They are very professional and they stick to a strict timeline and schedule. All of my bridesmaids, (all eight of them!) were glammed up and ready to go well before the ceremony started. This team has truly mastered their craft and they have a solid formula down, which is why I felt so comfortable working with them on my big day. Marlene was really amazing, my makeup was on point, and I still looked true to self. Just a very glammed up version! :) She was so awesome, she talked to me and joked with me, we listen to music, and I felt at such ease whiile she was glamming me up. I honestly felt so comfortable and at ease getting ready that day, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. They even give you a touch up kit to have throughout your wedding day. They've crossed all their Ts and dotted all of their Is. Pooja is an amazing make-up artist & hair stylist. I looked flawless for all 4 of my wedding events and each look was tailored to meet my exact vision. Pooja and her team are simply amazing. They are professional, have great communication but most importantly, their work is unbeatable. I hired Makiaj last minute for my daughters upcoming wedding. We were in luck that the wedding was on a Tuesday because they are booked most weekends. I sent them an inquiry on a weekend and received an instant message that they were out of the office at a wedding and would contact me on Monday. Vanessa was very sweet in explaining what they could do for us and sending me a proposal. They are very organized and definitely know their business. My daughter is self-employed, has a retail business and couldn't get in weeks early to make her Trial appointment. In the end, the trial was done the day before the wedding so she looked gorgeous for the rehearsal and dinner! The entire team arrived on schedule the day of the wedding with everything they could possibly need, the rearranged the suite to accommodate their needs for hair and makeup stations. They were professional, cheerful and kept everyone relaxed. I hadn't thought about how I wanted my hair done and drew a blank when they asked me. I would recommend that you have pictures or be able to give them direction so that you get the look you want. My makeup was spectacular, my sister and nieces commented that I was absolutely beautiful! Thank you! As for the Bride, she was stunning! Her hair was done in a sidesweep with hair jewelry just above the bun, her makeup was just as spectacular! They use a lip stain so that the color stays on forever! Even through drinks and dinner! Fabulous stuff! I highly recommend Mikiaj Beauty, you won't be sorry, you will be THRILLED!

Pooja and Vanessa are absolute ROCK STARS! I found them online and was so impressed with their portfolios. I scheduled a trial, where I met them both and some of their team. They are as kind as they are talented and we had a great trial. They had another wedding scheduled for the same day as mine, but made some magic happen and did both weddings, which I was so thrilled with. For mine, they did 5 bridesmaids, my mom, my mother in law, my two flower girls and me. Pooja, Sami and Christina were on time, professional, fun and made everyone look like a million bucks. Seeing my bridal party look so beautiful (and happy with their hair & makeup!) was one of the best parts of the day for me. As for my look, I felt like a princess. I didn’t want to be overly made-up and they struck exactly the right balance of softness and glam. These ladies went above and beyond for the big day and they’re worth every penny!

Vanessa was a dream to work with on my wedding day! She went above and beyond to make sure I looked and felt perfect. I wanted a very natural look that still would look great in photos and Vanessa made sure to do that without making me look too "overdone". Where do I begin?? I was in town and had one day to do my wedding hair and makeup trial with Pooja. Turns out the AC broke in the studio in the middle of summer, and what did she do? She improvised and we went to her nearby residence to do the trial. That was the first thing that let me know she was truly unique. She welcomed me into her own home and made it work! She was so pleasant to work with throughout the whole process. Not only was she down to earth and fun, but her hair and makeup skills are out of this world! She made me look like the best version of ME. I can’t even begin to describe how talented Pooja and her team are. I was worried about my husband not liking makeup on me day of the wedding because he’s not used to it…but she seriously works magic and he was speechless when he saw me. They were so amazing that one of my bridesmaids hired her for her wedding in MEXICO in January! So glad I found Makiaj Beauty-they made me feel like a queen!

Pooja and Vanessa did such a wonderful job making me feel beautiful and relaxed all weekend. They were always on time (which was not easy to do when your wedding is at 7AM!) and made sure that I wasn't stressing about anything going on outside of getting pampered. Both me and my mom told the team to do whatever styles they thought would look good and we were SO happy with how every look turned out. Thanks to Pooja, my hair and makeup was perfect for my wedding. I think she could make anyone feel like a movie star. At the same time, I also felt like I still looked like myself, which is not always the case when you're wearing a lot of makeup. After an underwhelming experience at a local salon I looked to Makiaj based on their great reviews and breathtaking photos online. My experience booking the trial was positive and they were accommodating to our tight schedule being out of state. I had a good trial but was unsure about the longevity of the style, after reaching out to them they accommodated a second trial to ensure that my hair would be perfect all night long. Everyone I worked with at Makiaj was great, professional, fun to be around and incredibly talented. Kristina and Sami did our bridal parties hair and make up on the day and they arrived early and prepared. They worked efficiently and had myself, my maid of honor and my mother feeling and looking beautiful in plenty of time for the sneak peak and walk down the isle. They even stepped in and saved the day with a sewing kit to help with an uncooperative zipper and waited until the final moment for any touch ups to make sure we were all photo ready. My hair and make up stayed in place and looking great all night long which was a big concern of mine. Choosing this vendor was one of the best choices I made, I felt absolutely beautiful and had a great experience getting ready. They are worth the money!

Vanessa was my makeup artist the day of my wedding, and her hair assistant was Sammi; both worked on my whole bridal party's hair and makeup as well. I will recommend these two to everyone planning their wedding, we all had the best experience we could've asked for. I found Pooja Mehta Makeup & Hair on Pinterest about a year before my wedding. I fell in love at first sight of her work! I hired her immediately to do makeup and hair for my wedding (10.10.15). During the bridal trials Pooja was very patient, warm, and funny. I knew that this would be the one aspect of my wedding that I would not need to be worried about, and sure enough I wasn't! I was to have my hair and makeup done, my two sisters, two friends, and mom were to have their makeup done. We ended up needing to have one of my sisters and mom's hair done. Both were at the very last minute and luckily Pooja and Vanessa were able to fit it in. Pooja and Vanessa arrived to the wedding site exactly on time. Both set up immediately and went to work. They were the epitome of calmness and professionalism, yet connected to everyone and had some good laughs. Pooja noticed that I was very nervous about the wedding and she would occasionally check in with me and then go back to work. I so appreciated her skill and empathy. After everyone was done we were all in awe of ourselves and each other; we looked amazing! Everyone's makeup and hair stood up to crying, dancing, a hot day and night, and fun. I would recommend Pooja Mehta Makeup & Hair ten times over to anyone who needs their makeup and hair done for any event!

Wow! Pooja was just phenomenal. She did 14 of us for my wedding day, and then came back to do my makeup for a second day of photographers. She went non stop from 7:30am to 3:30pm and then back again the next morning and every single person who had their hair and makeup done felt incredible, and looked amazing! I have never felt more beautiful in my life. If you want to look like every other typical bride on your wedding day then don't book with Pooja. She is going to make you look more amazing than you ever thought possible so be prepared for amazement.

I originally booked with another company and was attracted to the low prices. That trial did not go as I hoped and had to reach out to Pooja a couple months before my wedding. This time I actually did my research to find an ARTIST who's style reflected my own. I wanted more of a dramatic look and I most definitely got it from Pooja.

She's an awesome perfectionist, and she trains her team to be the same way. She just makes you feel comfortable. Pooja didn't have a problem communicating with my wedding party and keeping them in line :)

Anyone (well maybe not ANYONE) can do hair and makeup, but it takes someone with true talent and an artistic eye to make a vision come to life. You totally get what you pay for, and in my opinion Pooja was worth the investment. You can do your own makeup any other day of your life. It's your wedding day! Pooja did an amazing job doing my makeup and my bridesmaids makeup! I loved how I looked on my wedding day! I was able to do a trial make up session with Pooja to see how my makeup would look on my big day. She made me feel very comfortable and answered all of my questions. Pooja listened to all of my suggestions on how I thought I wanted to look on my wedding day and made me look even more beautiful than I expected. She also made my bridesmaids look amazing! I would highly recommend Pooja for anyone's wedding day makeup.

I used Pooja for hair and makeup for my May 25th wedding. As I was planning long distance, I never actually met Pooja until my wedding day, or did a trial run with her. Pooja and I communicated for months on what I wanted for my look, and she was always prompt and responsive. She happily sent me extra photos of her work, and by the time my wedding came, I had no qualms about working with her.

I can honestly say she did a spectacular job- I looked and felt incredible, and I received so many compliments on both my hair and makeup. She uses super high quality products, and my makeup - including my eyes after tons of crying - was fully intact by the end of the night. My photographer was even blown away by how great the makeup looked on camera.

I had considered doing my makeup myself, and I'm so, so glad I trusted Pooja instead. She's a gem!

Pooja is by far the best makeup artist I have ever worked with! I had never looked and felt this beautiful in my life like I did the night of my wedding event! Pooja is very professional, reliable, personable - not to mention - is lightning fast at responding. Both my wedding photographer and DJ referred Pooja to me. If I could go back in time, I would get my hair and makeup done only by her. In fact, I am looking forward to my next event so I can get my hair and mu done by Pooja Makeup Artistry. The day of my event I received several compliments from family, friends, and especially my fiance about how great I look. She is simply superb! Although my wedding has passed, I still love seeing the makeup magic Pooja does on her clients. No one else compares. Thank you, Pooja!

Pooja was absolutely AMAZING! She is very talented and her experiences translate to masterpieces making a wedding that much more stunning! Pooja was incredible. My first experience was the trial run where I tried the vintage look with red lips. Although it was good in theory it was not the look I wanted. The hair was perfect!! Exactly what I wanted. She was so great with the feedback so we did another trial on the makeup and she did exactly what I asked. The day of the wedding she was calm and bubbly like always. She had a wonderful assistant to help with my bridesmaids who all looked stunning. That was the most beautiful I have ever looked - I was in awe. It was the classic vintage look I had envisioned. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who does not want to worry about their hair and makeup on their biggest day.

My wedding hair AND makeup vendors fell through about 3 weeks before my wedding, so I was determined to find someone who was just as good with hair as he/she was with makeup. And boy, did I find her. Pooja Mehta is a straight up miracle worker. She and her assistant showed up to the designated hotel right on time and then worked SO hard for hours straight. My mom said that she didn't even see them take a break to sip their coffee! She was very accommodating with a couple of my higher-maintenance bridesmaids, although I wouldn't have had that kind of patience. They used such a mix of quality products, multiple people were taking notes of names and brands b/c they were so impressed with the results. My girls and I flawless after Pooja got done with us -- I was thrilled to work with someone of her caliber!

Pooja and her assistant Laura did a great job on all of my girls including myself for my wedding!!! My makeup was stunning and lasted from 11:15 until the end of the night!!! Pictures came out great! I'm not one to wear a lot of makeup and she did a great job portraying that.. my skin looked flawless and my eyes looked amazing! Thank you girls for making me feel so beautiful on my wedding day!!!!

Not only does Pooja have incredible talent (she made me look like a magazine super model!), she is extremely down to earth, personable, and generous with her time (my wedding was on her birthday!). At our initial consult she actively listened to what I wanted and the vision I had of a natural, classic, semi-formal look; she shared her opinions and suggestions which I felt comfortable taking or leaving. At first I was concerned that we were not doing a 'practice session' but my fears were waylaid by her assurances and confidence (and hello - do you see the finished product?!).

On my wedding day Pooja was prompt and had me ready by the specified completion time. She helped me feel at ease and made sure I was comfortable and satisfied with the results; at first I was a bit shocked to see so much makeup since I hardly ever wear any at all, but as you can see from my picture it was perfect. I enjoyed working with her and adored my look so much that I've been trying to think up another fabulous event that would require her services! Pooja, thank you so much for working so hard to become an amazing hair and makeup artist - you made me into a picture perfect bride (literally).

Rayanna was amazing doing my hair and makeup for my engagement pictures. She was so friendly, and easy to talk to. I am not able to use them for my wedding because it will be out of state and I am using someone close to the venue, but if I were getting married in Arizona I would be 100% using them. My pictures turned out amazing and I think it had a lot to do with her amazing skill. Thank you!

Vanessa did such a wonderful job for me-- for both my M/H trial as well as for my wedding day! I absolutely loved her personality and she made me look/feel so stunning. She was also kind enough to accommodate me at my location even though my bridesmaids were not part of the service. Before going with Makiaj, I had wanted airbrush (which they do not do), BUT I am so glad I chose them because their technique is so flawless and blends beautifully!! My hair also turned out amazing-- vintage Hollywood waves that I have always wanted and wondered how it was possible! I highly highly recommend going with Makiaj/Vanessa!!

Just amazing!! Pooja and Vanessa were wonderful to work with! From day 1, Pooja listened to what I wanted and was able to take my visions and make them even better in reality. I had 4 wedding events, and for each one, she was able to completely transform my look to match the occasion - keeping within my comfort, but making every look so cool and different. Vanessa did hair/makeup for my sisters and mom, and needless to say, they looked unbelievable! She was even able to take understated looks, and make them look edgy and contemporary. We all received so many compliments on hair/makeup throughout the weekend.

Pooja was a stickler for staying on time – and I loved it! She kept us on time and was very realistic with how long everything would take. To make things run even more smooth, she brought a team of artists for my bridesmaids. Her team was early for every event and made everything run so seamlessly. They really worked as a team to make sure that everything was done on time and that we were all happy with our looks.

This wonderful team of ladies came from Scottsdale to my Sedona wedding venue for the big day. I myself, along with all of the bridesmaids and mothers, loved their hair and makeup. Vanessa and her team really gave me and my girls that "wow factor" and everyone could not stop raving about how gorgeous we all looked. I have to applaud Vanessa as well for working with my tight wedding day timeline. Even though she thought she had an hour longer to work on me, the photographer needed me ready sooner and she made it happen, with every detail still looking spectacular. Thank you again, Makiaj! I used Makiaj Beauty for my wedding and they did an amazing job! Highly recommend! They are a little pricey, but well worth it. Remember, you get what you pay for.

Pooja was amazing to work with. One day before the wedding, I met with Pooja to discuss what I wanted the day of. All I did was show her a picture of the hairstyle and makeup I had in mind and and she made it happen. She knew exactly the vision I had and was surprised when I saw myself at the end because it was EXACTLY what I wanted. She is a true professional and knows exactly what she's doing. I did think it was a little pricey at first, but you only get married once! Not only that, but my pictures came out amazing and those are pictures that are going to last me a life time. I would definitely recommend Pooja to any future bride!

Amazing work, but poor management.

I booked with Makiaj for my wedding because I have tan skin, and their social media proved that they work with tan/darker skin tones very often. I had my wedding trial in January, which I liked very much. I had a question for my artist whom I texted a week before my wedding (end of March) to ask, only to find out that she no longer worked for the company and left mid-February. Neither my planner or I were informed of this, or were re-booked a trial with a new artist, which I found completely unacceptable. After calling this out, Makiaj booked me a re-trial on the Thursday before my wedding. This caused me a TON of stress on my wedding week, which could have been easily avoided. Trials are meant to be used to make changes, which if this was done on my wedding day, would have caused delays in the wedding day schedule. My new artist said she had my on her schedule mid-February, but Makiaj just didn't schedule a re-trial for me.

I am still giving Makiaj 2 stars because their master artists (the artists for the brides) are extremely talented. Shout out to Jada, who's foundation and skin work is AMAZING!

Unhappy with their work

I had very high expectations given they charge $800 for full makeup, hair and dupatta setting. First of all, I felt a little deceived because there were other girls who came to get me ready instead of Vanessa or Puja. They sent people who had never even put a dupatta on or how to pin it to my head. I really regretted this part because I couldn’t wear it the way I wanted. I don’t recommend them because their work they show on Instagram is not the same person that will be doing your makeup or hair and that was not clarified with me as Vanessa was the one responding to my emails. It’s not worth it unless Puja or Vanessa themselves are doing your makeup. They also burnt my ear while doing my hair. The same makeup could have been done by other artists for much less. They did a sloppy job with my eye shadow and made my skin tone look dark. They had two girls doing my makeup and hair at the same time which I also didn’t like because one person couldn’t fully focus. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. All my family members were not happy with my makeup and were asking why I didn’t use the same person from the day prior. I uploaded a picture- left side in red dress is makiaj and right side is not
