Robyn and her team did an incredible job decorating our venue for our wedding day in July 2021! The pendant lighting and greenery above our head table completely transformed the room. We also used on of her beautiful arches for the ceremony. Highly recommend!

When we started planning our wedding, we knew that we wanted to include some lighting installations as part of our design plan, but we weren't sure if we were going to be able to pull it off. When we found Maine Event Design & Decor, and talked to Robyn we realized it was possible, and were blown away by what she was able to do for us on our wedding day! The lighting installations were absolutely beautiful and really helped to create the cozy atmosphere we were hoping for on our wedding day!

Robyn and her team were amazing to work with. We decided very last minute to add some lighting to our reception space. After reaching out to Robyn she responded promptly with a flat rate fair price for lighting and disco balls.
It ended up being the expense we were SO happy we splurged on!! The disco balls added such a fun element to the space and made all the photos turn out incredible. Great vendor to work with!

My husband and I worked with Robyn and her team for our lighting needs for our wedding at Brick South in Portland this past October. Robyn was generous with her time and so helpful in laying out her services and our options. She worked within our budget and helped us prioritize what was most impactful for our space and vision. When inclement weather unfortunately damaged some of the chandeliers we’d planned for, Robyn jumped into action to get new chandeliers in time for the wedding and clearly communicated throughout. I could not recommend Robyn and her team more - the lighting was outstanding and she was lovely to work with.

Venue looked stunning!!
We booked some beautiful white drapes and fairy lights for our wedding in a cyderhouse and it looked like an absolutely fairytale! The venue was gorgeous already, but I was truly stunned when I walked in and saw the additions from Maine Event Design and Decor, as were all our guests! I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful set up. Everyone we worked with was so professional and easy to reach as well! Definitely recommend!

Robyn and her team were absolutely amazing. We had our wedding at Brick South in Portland Maine which is a very large, beautiful, industrial space. We were nervous about the space seeming empty, but Robyn and her team had worked in the space many times and advised us on just what lighting we would need to make it feel cozy! Robyn was super honest and upfront with us, and told us how much we would need, and what things just weren't necessary (with a wedding budget, this was so appreciated!). We totally trusted her, and boy did it pay off. Our space looked gorgeous and we can't recommend her enough!

Made it easy to design our way
Robyn and team are the best! We were so lucky to tour a venue with the 'starry night' lights and instantly fell in love. We originally wanted a tent wedding and ended up with an indoor reception, but this totally made the vibe soft and romantic. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the decor. They have lots and lots of options for you to customize the look you want, and they work with vendors so you don't have to worry about a thing. Do it, you won't regret it!

My husband and I absolutely LOVED working with Maine Event Design & Decor. I LOVED everything Maine Event did for our wedding! Robyn (owner of Maine Event) also works directly with a florist, so it's sort of a one-stop-shop, which made things so much easier! They set up. They took stuff down. They were flexible. Their work was SO GORGEOUS!!! Their pricing was also about HALF of what other vendors quoted me, and I got MUCH more bang for the buck. We even ended up building on our original quote because we downsized our wedding due to COVID and decided we wanted to use the "extra" money to jazz things up a little more, and they were easily able to accommodate the request (and offer the best suggestions) even though it was pretty close to the wedding date. Seriously, HIRE THEM NOW!!!

A dream!
Last-minute, and I mean last minute. Maybe 2-3 weeks prior to our wedding my husband and I decided to splurge a little and have someone decorate our reception. We called all over and Robyn got back to us quickly. She was very friendly and her prices are VERY reasonable. We went for a starburt canopy and some uplighting around the ballroom. It all turned out gorgeous!

Robyn reached out to us about lighting for our wedding as she was doing another event at our venue the weekend before ours and wanted to see if we were interested in doing a similar design. We had seen her work at the venue before and knew it would be beautiful but we were still wowed when we walked into our reception and saw the gorgeous lighting and drapery work she did for us! Tent lighting and fabric entrance were beautiful
I loved the extra tent lighting they provided to the peak of the tent. And they also did a beautiful fabric entrance to the tent that hid the ugly aluminum tent poles. They came early and worked seamlessly with the tent crew and the floral designer who was busy making flower arrangements and setting the table decor. Everything went smoothly and i didn't have to do a thing! The next day, they came early, as promised, so that the tent company could take the tent down by 9am. Couldn't have been happier.

I found Maine Events Design and Décor and Robyn the owner very near my event. We had everything planned with a rented sperry tent placed at the reception venue - The Breakwater Inn and Spa. But even though I was told the tent would be beautiful which it was I had seen pictures of tents which had romantic draping and I was so wishing our event was to include this. Our daughter had ordered her linen's from Latovia out of Napa,CA and I just felt the draping would be a huge add. In addition to the wedding we had planned a wine event at our home in Cape Porpoise and I began to look for lighting experts who could enhance our entry way and backyard. I looked and asked many vendors but I was embarrassed as I was late in calling. I then saw the Maine Events Design and Décor website and called - reaching Robyn I was immediately met with someone who heard my vision and said she could do it. She sent me pictures and I returned some of my own. By the afternoon I had a bid and contract and timing for set up at my home. From the website and speaking with Robyn I saw that Maine Event also does draping. Once I had the bride's okay, we contracted for the draping as well.
The lighting was smashing, set up with poles out of large barrel planters which had flowings coming out of the top. My guests and neighbors said - keep it up! I will speak Robyn as I think this will be an annual request. The draping was seamless as Robyn took it upon herself to call sperry and set up delivery, install and take down. I told Robyn she was heaven sent. Maine Events Design and Décor will be my go to for events and parties going forward. You can count on them, they are very appropriately priced and working with them is just a wonderful no stress experience. Finally I am so impressed that I could call and get service so fast - I know Robyn wanted to help and fit me in and this is the kind of service that does not go unnoticed and deserves a huge recommendation and THANK YOU.

We are SO happy we went with Maine Event Design and Decor for our lighting! They did lighting for both our welcome party and wedding and when I got to our wedding venue and saw the lights for our welcome party I was completely blown away and could not get the smile off my face. The bistro lights and lanterns created the most beautiful ambiance and far exceeded any expectations I had. The uplighting in our venue really added a beautiful look and we could not have been happier with it. They were also so easy to work with! You will be so happy if you book this vendor!

MAINE EVENT DECOR MADE OUR VENUE!
We had a big industrial space for our venue and the additions that Robyn made were absolutely fantastic. She did draping on the ceiling with cafe lights, a beautiful backdrop with gold fabric and a chandelier, as well as draping around the door frame. They made it comfortable and cozy inside this big empty space that we were working with. She provided lights and dimmers for us to change the the vibe in the venue. It was so romantic, comfortable, and fantastic!

We had a vision and a dream of turning our venue into a magical place, and Robyn really made it happen. What started as a dining hall for a boys camp (albeit with all the potential, it was very plain to start) became a dream come true. We were extremely particular - we made flooring charts to scale and preplanned the whole decoration a million different ways until we settled on one that worked with our budget and vision. I would advice, as Robyn made it important to do so, to make sure that after all discussions and revisions etc that your contract states specifically what you want to an exact T. We did this because Robyn said it was important, and as a result all went smoothly. With the sheer numbers of back and forth we had with her, there's no way that months later she could have recalled the specifics were it not precise in the contract. We gaze at our pictures often - and the shock and awe from the venue staff who marveled at the beauty of Robyn's work made every penny worthwhile. It transformed a vast and simple room and made every picture of everyone dancing and having fun a frameable and gorgeous shot! Thank you Robyn!! I would book another event with Robyn in a heartbeat. I showed Robyn a picture of what I was looking for and she told me her team actually set up the lights that were at the event in the picture! The prices are fair and her emails and calls were always prompt. Unfortunately, my wedding venue changed ownership 7 months before my wedding and I had to move my wedding and cancel my original lighting plans. Robyn was very understanding and we came to a resolution that we were both happy with. If you are looking for a vendor that is easy to work with, very professional and responsive, and most importantly has beautiful designs, then Robyn and her team will not disappoint! If I ever have another need for lighting or decor I will look to them first.

I used the team for cafe lights and paper lanterns to create the perfect "wedding look" for our October wedding at the Maine Maritime Museum. I could not have asked for anything better - the entire process from start to finish was a breeze and the end result was breathtaking.
Robyn is incredibly responsive and more than willing to accommodate out of town brides (such as myself!) with phone calls, emails AND she even sent photos of similar events that used the same decor to help me create my "vision". The team completely managed coordination with the venue for set up and take down which could not have been easier! I would use this team again in a heartbeat!

Most beautiful decor I've ever seen. Gorgeous soft draping of chiffon with lights in them covering over the dance floor and an amazing backdrop behind the head table with a stunning crystal chandelier provided a lovely backdrop for all of my daughters pictures for her wedding.

I head of Maine Event through a relative who works in the wedding industry in Southern Maine. Robyn was so good to us and very generous. My family was going through a hard time because a close relative was going through an illness. I was worried about my budget but also worried that this close relative would get more ill trying to DYI decorate. Robyn was, as I said, very understanding about the situation we worked out an agreement. She beautiful work at the Mariners Center on 4/23/16 for our wedding reception. It was such a blessing for me and this close relative of mine to come into the space the day before and see all of the gorgeous decoration. There was so much light and sparkle! It made the photos so lovely.

We hired Maine Event Design & Decor to hang lanterns at our reception site. We initially wanted them only in the room with the dance floor - they hung them the night before and they looked SO beautiful that I called Robyn last minute to see if we could have them throughout the entire venue. She said they would try, and they were able to make it back the next day (which was impressive on such short notice)! The lanterns looked incredible! I was impressed with their service and couldn’t have been more pleased.

Robin was amazing to work with. I would recommend Maine Event Design and Decor to anyone looking for amazing draping and decor. My high expectations were surpassed by Robin and her team. I had a Hindu ceremony, with many different elements- Robin was more then willing to help make my visions come to life!!! She is also made a decision that saved my wedding. It had down poured the day before my wedding and we had still planned to have our ceremony outside. Robin politely told me that she thought I would be making a terrible mistake. She had said that with all her experience that things would get messy!! We had ordered gold chivari chairs which would have sunk in the ground, and my bridesmaids saris (which were cream) most likely would have been ruined. Robin assured me that she would make the ballroom look beautiful and that I wouldn't regret it. Well let me tell you, it was absolutely stunning. When I walked down the aisle with my Dad I thought I was walking into someone else's wedding, it was beyond gorgeous. Robin suggesting that we move everything inside turned into the best decision we could have ever made. We were so thankful for her expertise!

Maine Event provided uplighting , an elaborate backdrop, and an indoor 4 post canopy for my daughter's ceremony. It was no less than stunning! They were kind , professional, and a pleasure to work with. The price was very fair. I highly recommend them!

Robyn was wonderful! I had her do decor, up lighting throughout the room. I was so happy when I walked in. After I made the initial contact with her it was awesome the entire time. I didn't have to raise a finger. She set up the time and day to be able to go in and decorate with hall I had my wedding at. She was very good when it came to my needs and what I wanted and how I wanted to look. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have any type of decor or lighting done.

I would highly recommend Robyn and the team at Maine Event Design & Decor. Robyn was great to work with, professional, responsive and flexible. She was willing to work within my budget. Her work was stunning. I hired Maine Event Design to do lighting in my reception. They handled strung lighting in the reception, bistro lighting in an attached tent to the reception room, and uplighting in the reception room. I wanted a "whimsical canopy of stars" and she totally nailed it. I would highly recommend Maine Event Design & Decor for any of your decor or lighting needs.

Robyn was fantastic to work with! She was professional, responsive and was able to be flexible when working within my budget. Her work was stunning as well. I hired her to do strung lights above our reception as well as bistro lights under an attached tent and uplighting in the reception room. They did a wonderful job providing me with exactly the wedding I wanted, even though I was not particularly specific about what I wanted! Everything was so beautiful that even my husband (not the most observant of souls) commented on how lovely it all was. I was absolutely astonished with what they were able to do with the site; even though we had the most torrential rain I have ever seen, everything just looked like something out of a fairy tale.

All I can say is WOW! I just had a wedding this past weekend and the decorations provided were stunning! I planned the wedding from South Carolina, so I was a bit nervous about everything coming together, but I was so wrong! The setup and coordination of the theme and the suggestions I was given were so perfect. I can't say enough good about what we got. I would highly recommend to everyone!

I had originally showed her a picture of something I was interested in for my wedding ceremony back drop and she made her suggestions which I went forward with. Her work was exactly as I had imagined it and because of her work the venue is now going to post the photos to their website! You can tell the time and effort she puts in to her work is from the heart, especially on a special day.

Maine Event Design & Décor were a pleasure to work with. We had a unique wedding in a informal location where we had to set up the "venue" all on our own, and Maine Event Design & Décor provided us with our lighting and our touch of color - we used their globe lantern lighting in a few different colors, and had them set up under our large outdoor tent. They helped us figure out how many we'd need so it wasn't too much or too little (and they were right on the mark), and they were EXTREMELY flexible with our unique timing requirements - we only had certain windows for having everything set up and taken down, and they worked with us without any problem. They were prompt and professional, yet friendly and personable. I would recommend their services to everyone and anyone - 5 star service and quality.

Amazing job!! They revamped an old legion hall to make it so elegant that most people who had been to the venue for other functions didn't even recognize it :) We had so many compliments and questions as to who did the decorating. They added an extra magical touch to our daughter's wedding day <3

Robyn Allen was absolutely amazing. We were on a budget and happy with the design she helped us choose for our reception at Mariners in Portland. A few weeks before the wedding we visited the hall and Robyn had decorated for another wedding. It was breathtaking..but we knew we could not afford it . A week before our wedding Robyn emailed me and offered the upgrade for free as she wanted to market the new design. It was very unexpected and her generosity brought tears to my eyes. Everything was absolutely stunning and perfect. I cannot thank Robyn enough and will recommend her work to everyone.

Maine Event did the decorating at the Hilton in Freeport for my daughters wedding. Before I even had seen the ceremony hall the STAFF from the Hilton was telling me that even THEY were excited, and mind you they have seen their fair share of wedding. I took a sneak peak and was blown away. Guests are STILL commenting on how gorgeous everything looked. Between her work for the Ceremony as well as the reception I am hooked. I am trying to come up with more events just so I can work with her again. She made the experience not only stress free, but FUN! Thank you Robyn. You were a blessing and your work is perfection.

Our wedding venue was a beautiful shell...but the decorations that Robyn and her team provided made it so glamorous!!! We had uplighting, draping, and fairy lights done to transform the venue, and our ceremony and reception spaces became uniquely ours. Knowing that the decorating was out of my hands was such a relief. I would certainly recommend this service to others!!

Robyn and the team at Maine Events and Décor were absolutely fantastic to work with!!! They provided amazing guidance before our wedding to ensure that we were getting exactly what we envisioned. Robyn and her team designed and decorated both our rehearsal dinner tent and our reception tent and the lighting in both tents was absolutely magical. In our rehearsal dinner/lobster bake tent Robyn and her team hung red drapes mixed with multi color star-shaped lanterns. The decorations in that tent were so fun and we received SO many compliments about the beautify of the rehearsal dinner tent. In our reception tent multi sized white bulbs hung in an incredibly elegant manner. As the sun went down, the bulbs glowed with a blue magical tint and were absolutely STUNNING. Robyn and her team were very easy to work with through the entire process and we would HIGHLY recommend them for any of your event decoration needs.

Robyn from Maine Event Decor turned our reception hall into an amazingly lit wedding reception. The mixture of up lights, lanterns, and the main dance floor canopy lighting was beautiful. The day of the wedding we had an issue with some of the lanterns not being bright enough and she came and changed them out right before the reception. Very easy to work with and very reliable. Maine Event Design & Decor went above and beyond to make our wedding ceremony decor perfect. From the beginning, Robyn was very responsive and easy to work with. We needed them to set up an hour earlier than expected and they had no issue accommodating our request. The drapery for our ceremony was stunning and we were absolutely blown away by it! The uplighting was gorgeous and the bling curtain was the perfect touch. It made for the perfect backdrop for our formal family photos. Maine Events did a beautiful decorating job at my daughter's wedding at The Cliff House in Maine. They provided the pipe and drape around the entire room in a beautiful ivory fabric with a swag of poppy red over the entrance to match the bridesmaids poppy dresses. They did small lights behind the fabric behind the head table, cafe lights across the ceiling, and colored uplights around the room. All the lighting was put on dimmers so we could dim the lights once the dancing started. To me, lighting in a room is everything. It provides the atmosphere for a party, and together with the soft ivory draping around the room, I felt the effect was stunning. Robyn was very professional, knows exactly what she's doing, and just handled this portion of the wedding for us. It's my pleasure to recommend her!
