We are so extremely happy we chose Magnolia to have our reception! They were wonderful to work with from start to finish and were there for me at every question or concern I had. Erica truly went above and beyond to make our day so special and I will be forever grateful to her and the staff for the most perfect day. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is already stressful but Erica made me feel so much less stressed and I felt like she truly cared about making our special day work. We had our rehearsal dinner venue back out due to being closed until 2021 because of covid and within a day and one email to Magnolia we were able to have it there with the same menu and everything. I cant stress enough how amazing this venue was. It is beautiful and in such an amazing spot downtown. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about their stay and the things to do around the hotel! Such a fun spot to have a wedding!

Chris and the team at the Magnolia hotel are amazing! They are professional, make sure everything is taken care of and it is truly a pleasure working with them!

I cannot say enough about The Magnolia! Chris was absolutely amazing to work with and even recommended my wedding planner. The ballroom space is beautiful with the updates and renovations (it was amazing before but is even better now). I was able to give Chris my budget and a rough idea of what we were wanting to do, and he and the staff went above and beyond. We also stayed at the hotel and it was amazing! I would highly recommend the Magnolia to anyone getting married or for any event.

From touring the hotel, until the next day, this was amazing! Chris Bertrand took amazing care of us from the beginning. The convenience of having our ceremony in the courtyard, then our reception in the second floor was great. The chef, the bartender, all the staff took amazing care of us the day of as well. Chris helped everything run smoothly as I was a frazzled bride confused by timeline and he held my hand the whole time! I would recommend this for anyone wanting their party to stay in one place and to have a great wedding! Kristina was also amazing in helping us set up all of our rooms. She even took me on a tour and helped me pick out where I wanted my bridal suite. Top notch service, food, and hotel. Set it up today!

We have had a great weekend staying at The Magnolia Downtown location. We had many guests from out of town and everyone stayed here. Everyone commented on how great the hotel was.

I want to express on how AMAZING the Magnolia Hotel Downtown Dallas staff are!!!!! When looking for a venue, there was no doubt in our minds that the Magnolia Hotel was the place we were having our wedding!!!! When meeting Chris Bertrand, we felt like we had known him for years!!!! He listened to our vision, he executed it and gave us so much more!!!!! Every girl dreams about their wedding day and our day was hands down perfect and just absolutely beautiful!!!! October 17, 2015 wouldn't of been that perfect without the wonderful staff at the Magnolia Hotel! Thank you to the valet staff, everytime I came to the Magnolia Hotel you made me feel like a princess, they are so stinking nice!!!! Thank you Chef for preparing the most delicious dinner! Thank you Chris for dealing with me for a whole year LOL. Thank you to Erica for assisting us with the numerous rooms we needed for the out of town guests!!! We had our beautiful wedding at the Magnolia on 12/30/14 and it was a perfect choice. We had a smallish group of 50 and had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception on the 3rd floor of the hotel. The flow was excellent, the staff was perfect, the food was awesome and I was a very happy bride! Chris, the event coordinator, was great! He spent time getting to know my vision, was very prompt in responding to my email questions, and worked to give us just what we wanted. Also, based on all the hotels I look at in Dallas (and I looked at a lot), they were very reasonable! To top it all off, the setting made for gorgeous pictures!! I wouldn't change a thing!!

The Magnolia was a perfectly lovely venue for my daughter's wedding reception. Chris Bertrand was great to work with and helped us with details to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. He is
helpful and accommodating and has very good ideas. The food was yummy and we were so glad for input on the menu. The service was fantastic and everyone was willing to help us out as needed. What a wonderful place for a reception - feels like the Old South meets Uptown! Thanks for a memorable evening!

The Magnolia Hotel was a great place to do both the ceremony and the reception and it was great to host there for out of town guests so that they will be able to see downtown Dallas. From the start Jessica then Rebecca and then finally Andrea were amazing and helpful and flexible and they catered for our needs till the last minute. I strongly recommend the magnolia hotel for your events.

For my daughter's wedding we booked the Magnolia Hotel for the wedding party and out of town guests. They gave us a very economical rate for the room block and great incentives. The bride and groom's room was upgraded to a suite with ten room reservations. All of the rooms were very spacious. All of the hotel staff were welcoming and very responsive. I was concerned that due to the Magnolia's downtown location, it would be an inconvenience with all of parking being valet. The valet service worked well with us as we had to come-and-go at different times of the day and night. Also included in the room rate was a delicious buffet breakfast.

I got married at the Magnolia just over a week ago, and everything was beautiful. The catering manager quit about a week and a half before my wedding, but the rest of the staff took her notes and made sure that everything was just how I had planned. It took a few extra phone calls and a meeting to iron everything out, but in the end the day was everything I wanted. \r\nWe had the ceremony outside in front of the fountain in the auto court before moving upstairs to the second floor for the reception. The second floor lounge and bar area is beautiful and doesn\'t need a lot of decoration to look stunning. They worked with me to create a custom floor plan for the reception that had both the dining tables and the lounge areas that I really wanted. \r\nThe food was AMAZING. The best food I have ever had at a wedding. They even worked with me to create a custom buffet menu when I didn\'t love any of the set options. \r\nNothing every runs perfectly smoothly, and the Mexican folk dance demonstration on the next floor was a bit loud at first, but our catering manager went up and got them to turn it down and we didn\'t notice it again. We also had a few wedding crashers later in the evening. The second floor is open to the lobby below in the center, and there are just private party signs at the elevators and the bottom of the stairs, so I think a crasher or two is probably pretty inevitable. On the plus side, they were really nice crashers who talked to my mom for a bit. \r\nAl in all, I can\'t imagine my wedding having been any more beautiful, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to get married in downtown Dallas. It is near all of the downtown attractions, too, so out of town guests have plenty to do during the day.

My experience was awesome! I got married not long ago and I am still in awe of how great it went! Not that everything was perfect, my ceremony was suppose to be outside in the motor court but it rained so we had to move it inside. I was very disappointed but Jessica, the staff at the Magnolia and my florist (A Man and A Woman Floral) made the back up space look so amazing that most of my guests didn't understand how it wasn't my first choice. Jessica and the staff were all very attentive all night they brought us water to keep us hydrated and packed some of each kind of cake and took it to our room to have along with our wine( I hate Champaign) and strawberries that they also had sent up! The dinner was delicious and very reasonably priced my guests still talk about how good the steak was! I have nothing but GREAT things to say about the magnolia and plan to stay there on our future anniversaries.

Beautiful location to have a wedding. Located in the heart of downtown right by all the restaurants and bars on Main Street. But what I loved mostly about this location is that they offer two venues! The Pegasus Room located across the street from the hotel in the old Dallas Power & Light building is absolutely the coolest place that kept the original architecture from the 1930’s. They roll out the red carpet out on the sidewalk and it's just beautiful.

Our guests loved walking from the ceremony back to the hotel for the reception. It felt a little NY-like. And I must say, walking across the street from the hotel to the ceremony was a blast with all the cars honking and wishing me luck! :)

The Reception was beautiful, and the food was awesome. And I am a Dallas foodie...and loved everything!

A perk for my out of town guests were the room rates under the wedding party...$109 a night is a steal in this city. And the rooms are NICE.

The biggest plus I thought was the hotel's wedding planner Jessica. She was ON-TOP-OF-IT. She was wonderful to work with and so helpful. She helped keep things moving and very organized leading up the my wedding day. I could not have pulled off a wedding the size of mine with no hitches, without her.

If you are looking for a cool, unique and classy place to have your wedding, The Magnolia Hotel is the place.

Having our ceremony and reception at The Magnolia Hotel was one of the best decisions I have EVER made! Jessica Smith, the catering manager, is amazing! She is there for every step of the process of planning your wedding! She is attentive, gives suggestions and is always available to answer any questions you may have! She and the rest of the staff at the hotel are so nice and helpful and they all just want the best for you and for everyone to be happy!

We held our wedding at the Magnolia in Dallas, and have nothing but compliments to give Jessica and her team! The value for what you get in Dallas on a Saturday is amazing compared to other venues in the area. From booking in January 2011 to the end of the wedding in February 2012, I never felt like we weren't a priority. Jessica went out of her way to answer my questions, and make sure that both my groom and myself were 100% satisfied.

Our menu consisted of heavy appetizers, carving stations, a soup station, and petite plates; I feel like for everything that we had, we would have paid twice as much at any other venue. Compared to other venues directly in the area, The Magnolia's catering minimum is great for a "budget bride" wanting a classic and classy affair.

Our out of town guests also stayed at the hotel during the wedding weekend, and we have heard nothing but compliments on the entire Magnolia team. The front desk staff was an absolute dream and super friendly any time we needed something.

Magnolia Hotel Dallas and Catering Manager Jessica Smith are amazing. They did an outstanding job hosting our wedding weekend.

They catered our rehearsal dinner and reception. The food was fantastic and custom fit to our tastes.

They gave us an outstanding roomblock rate for our out-of-towners and the amenities are fantastic. The morning breakfast buffet is absolutely delicious...the best omelet I've ever had!!!

Jessica was extremely accomodating to our needs...she really understood what we wanted and went out of her way to make it great! They set up our reception decor for us and it was lovely.

The hotel is gorgeous, the staff is wonderful, the chef, Jessica....our wedding was perfect.

The Magnolia Hotel at 1401 Commerce Street in Dallas is an upscale, boutique hotel in the historic Magnolia Petroleum Building that is centrally located and within walking distance of many Dallas attractions. It is more like a European hotel with trendy furnishings and personalized service that you don't find in the run-of-the-mill chain hotels. For our daughter's wedding, we reserved a room block at a very good price which included a full American breakfast, daily happy hour and a nightly cookie buffet. The hotel has a 24 hour fitness facility which is availablel at no charge to guests. Check to see if the hotel shuttle service is available- we were told it did not run on the weekends but to our surprise, on this weekend it did which made it nice for our guests. Ask for Charlotte Rhodes, the Sales and Catering manager. She can help you with room blocks. The Magnolia also seems to be popular for wedding receptions.

My wedding at the Magnolia was all I dreamed of and more! The staff were all extremely helpful and accommodating. The pictures turned out beautiful! Two concerns: We were told some leftover food would be placed in our room and we never received it. Also, nobody asked us what kind of cake we wanted. My husband hates chocolate and that's the layer of cake they brought for us. Other than that our night was perfect and our hotel suite was amazing!

We had our wedding reception at The Magnolia Hotel. The ballroom was exactly what I envisioned for my wedding!! I also loved the unique look of the building and the grand staircase made for some AMAZING photos! I loved that they had a red carpet leading up to the entrance as well. Jessica Smith, the catering manager, was so amazing! She was extremely responsive and really helped us make our reception perfect. The food was absolutely divine!! We had a few issues at the reception, but Jessica was quick to get them resolved! Overall, it was an amazing night that I will never forget!

Andrea was great. Moving the ceremony to the conference room was not ideal and I think there needs to be another inside option. Otherwise all wad good.

Overall excellent experience. The food was excellent - all my guests were pleasantly surprised to have good wedding food for once! I was planning my wedding from Lubbock, so they were great about staying in touch with me and understanding my vision. The venue looked perfect and the complementary suite had a great view!

We recently hosted our wedding reception in the lounge area at the Magnolia hotel (They also offer a more traditional ballroom venue, but we opted for something a little funkier).

The food was great, and any hurdles we had leading up to the event, or even on the day of were very quickly and quietly handled by the amazing staff.

The room block was affordable, and our guests loved that they could just mosey up to their rooms after the reception (no need for cabs or rented cars for out of towners)

We made arrangements for a wedding block based on the recommendation of our venue. A few of our guests waited almost to the last minute and a couple decisions were made that resulted in a bit of a snafu and my mother ended up calling trying to settle it. She was kind of tossed around and blown off so we went down town to the Magnolia to speak with a manager. Everything got settled, but it was a bit hairy for about 48 hours. :) Its an AMAZING hotel with beautiful rooms and great amenities. Great places to take pictures in and around the hotel itself. Great big rooms and great bathrooms for getting ready in.
