From the beginning, working with this bakery was an incredible experience. They made the entire process so easy, were wonderful to communicate with, and took all of the stress out of choosing our wedding cake.
We found a photo online of a cake that we completely fell in love with and hoped someone could recreate. Not only did they recreate it, but they matched it perfectly. We were honestly blown away when we saw it in person. Every detail was beautifully executed and it looked even more stunning in person than we had imagined. It became one of the standout details of our reception with many of our guests commenting on how gorgeous it was.
The cake tasted every bit as amazing as it looked. The flavors we chose were absolutely delicious, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how good it was. I haven’t been to that many weddings but I’m sure its rare to find a wedding cake that's both a showpiece and genuinely one of the best-tasting cakes you've had, they absolutely delivered on both.
Everything was handled exactly as promised. The cake was delivered to our venue on schedule, set up flawlessly, and we never had to worry about a thing.
One of the biggest surprises was the value. We expected a cake of this quality and craftsmanship to cost significantly more, but their pricing was incredibly fair and transparent. We felt like we received spectacular quality for what we paid and it was easily one of the best values of our entire wedding.
We truly could not have been happier with our experience. If you're looking for a bakery that creates breathtaking cakes, delivers amazing flavor, provides outstanding customer service, and offers incredible value, look no further. We would recommend them again and again without a moment's hesitation. Thank you for creating such a beautiful centerpiece for our wedding and helping make our day even more special!

Ahh, M&T Events are top notch, just amazing! These ladies are so incredibly sweet and were easy to work with. Whatever design you want your cake, they can do it. Money well spent in our wedding cake. They are easy to contact, respond well and on a timely manner. Overall experience, 10/10! You know a company is good, when you remember their work from over 10 years ago. They did my older cousins wedding cake in 2013 and I knew they had to do mine in 2025!

Amazing cake!
The cake that was made for my wedding was amazing. It not only looked beautiful but also tasted really good. Delicious Wedding Cake!
Our guests loved our cake so much that even our leftovers are gone! I chose M&T because of their great reviews. We had a lemon cake with raspberry puree and lemon mousse for our tiered cake and the amaretto for our sheet cake. When we did the cake testing, Martina, the mother of the mother-daughter team, provided so many flavors that it was really hard to narrow to just one because all of them were so tasty. M&T did a great job with the cake design, which I kept simple as I was more focused on taste rather than appearance. The cakes were moist, not soggy, and infused with flavor throughout. I would highly recommend M&T for any event!

Let me just tell you this cake was amazing! I don’t even eat cake like that but this cake was moist, the icing was to die for and the owner was very professional and proficient. I would recommend this business if you are in the DMV area! My Cake was beautiful! I told them what I want and Martina and Tina executed my vision! Martina made my wedding cake and it was simply exquisite! I had sent Martina a picture of what I wanted and Martina actually outdid the picture! The cake and the flower decoration was even more beautiful than what I had hoped for. And the flavours….. WOW!!!! Delicious would be an understatement! The 3 flavours I ordered were Dulce De Leche, Red Velvet with Apricot and Ferrero. I couldn’t have been happier with the cake on the outside and on the inside.

The BEST Around!
Wow! What more can we say? From start to finish, Martina blew us away. It all started with the tasting at her home (with a really cool professional kitchen), which was professional but also very warm and welcoming. Her cakes are absolutely delicious! She makes them all fresh for the tasting and you can really tell the quality is there. We ended up going with the amaretto for a unique flavor. Martina took the time to listen to what we wanted for design and provided us with multiple sketches during the tasting until we landed on just what we wanted. She was very easy to work with throughout multiple scheduling changes (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) and was always very responsive via email. The actual cake was the real showstopper though. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful cake and we received many compliments from our guests. The flavor of the actual cake was, of course, as delicious as when we had it at the tasting. Her prices are very reasonable. We cannot say enough good things about M&T. Highly recommend!

Outdoor COVID Wedding
We had an amazing experience with M&T Events Bakery! Due to COVID, our wedding plans were ever changing. M&T were very accommodating and helpful through the whole process. I was able to give them pictures of inspiration for our cake and they came up with a beautiful design with beautiful flowers. I had a lot of questions during the process and Martina was able to answer every single one quickly. They also have lots of choices for cake flavors! We picked lemon blueberry and it was AMAZING!! Martina and her team were fantastic and seamless in supporting our wedding! The cake design came out exactly as we had envisioned and more! The hand-made sugar flowers were beautiful and detailed. The delivery was so seamless on the wedding day. The cake exceeded expectations and matched the quality we gathered from the tasting. There were many compliments on the day of the event about the look and taste of the cake!
The booking and execution of the initial tasting was easy and Martina was very pleasant to work with. No passive bullying or "marketing" non-sense to try and earn our business. Her work (in the wedding business and other areas) speaks for itself.
Her pricing is VERY fair and her communication through the process was superb. Our wedding was one of the unfortunate many to need a reschedule due to COVID-19 restrictions and she was very understanding and accommodating, without any surprise or inconveniences.
We are so pleased that we decided to have M&T Events provide our cake for our wedding! We highly recommend her services! She also offers baking services outside of weddings and we will definitely be a repeat customer.

Amazing from start to finish!
M&T made our cake and desserts for our wedding in October 2019. Every part of the process from their tasting at their home-turned-bakery to the dessert display (you have to try the Bacardi 151 rum balls!) was exceptional. We asked them to make mini-pies as part of the take-home gifts, which turned out incredible as well. I can’t recommend their service enough!

An artwork perfect for us
Our wedding cake tasted as delicious as it looked, and it was one gorgeous cake! I met Martina during my cake tasting and was immediately wowed by her selection of none traditional but delicious cakes. What I liked more was the fact that she was VERY EXCITED to recreate a modern art cake design I had found online, making a few suggestions on how we could make it our own. She was professional, warm and a delight to work with--she even wrapped up the extra cakes from the tasting and told me how to store them so I could take it to my fiance who lived far away. We went with the Lemon Raspberry and Dulce De Leche flavors, and our wedding cake tasted better than what I recalled having during the cake tasting. The cake was more than enough for our 120-person wedding. Did I mention that the flowers and leaves were handmade using rice paper? That's how skilled M & T is. Thanks Martina!

Too Pretty To Eat!
M&T Events was the perfect choice! Martina listened to our ideas and turned them into a beautiful reality. The artistry was picturesque and the taste even exceeded our original tasting. We had personalized cakes to present to amazing people in our lives and they absolutely LOVED them! The strawberry and red velvet flavors are our favorites, the only down side was we didn't get the chance to eat more before it was all gone!! Thank you Martina and Tiffany! Our wedding reception cakes were all we wanted them to be and our family and friends RAVED about them. Looking forward to our next milestone! Strawberry here we come! :o)

So Awesome
You need to go have a tasting with this wonderful lady. There was a beautiful flower display on the front of our cake. I late told guests it was completely hand made and not real flowers, and they had no idea! It was so realistic. I can't wait to have it again for our 1 year anniversary.

We loved the cake Martina and Tiffany made for us. It tasted delicious and looked perfect for our venue. We got the almond flavor and it was perfect. They were also very reasonably priced, especially for the DC area. We're excited for our 1 year anniversary complimentary cake. Thank you ladies!

This is an epic mother daughter duo! I ordered a dulce de leche 3 layer cake for my wedding 8/17/19! Omg everyone said it was thee best cake they has ever had! I am ordering another one in a few week! Hands down best event cake around! I only wish it was bigger!😋

We only had 1 other cake appointment as we were in a time crunch planning a wedding in 4 months! But we were so incredibly lucky to find M&T! Our cake tasting was delicious and detailed and personable. I was nervous and excited to see the final product and I honestly could not have been happier. It was everything i had hoped and the top decoration. Was stunning! The colors were on point and exactly as she had described. Super delicious and rich flavors! You don’t need to look any further!

From our very first interactions over email, to our tasting session, to the day-of, Martina/M&T Events was a dream to work with. During our tasting appointment, she was friendly, professional, and even let us taste a sample of her fondant (which, to my pleasant surprise, was absolutely delicious!) Martina created a picture-perfect cake complete with the most realistic sugar flowers you've ever seen. Amazingly, the cake tasted even better than it looked. We ordered the lemon raspberry and almond krokant as our flavors -- both flavors were fresh and scrumptious. We got many compliments on how delicious the cake was! Most Beautiful and Delicious Cake Ever!
It was a pleasure working with Martina on our wedding cake! When my then-fiancé (now husband) and I had our consultation, Martina sat with us for over two hours discussing ideas and what we wanted in our wedding cake. She was so patient and listened carefully, and she designed a cake for us right then and there. On the day of the wedding, when we laid eyes on the actual cake, nothing could prepare us for the wonder that Martina created for us! It’s amazing the details she put into the glittering golden emblem and tiny fleurs-de-lys trim. The fondant was smooth and beautiful. Her sugar flower work was gorgeous! I looked up so many pictures of sugar sunflowers, and nothing remotely compared to Martina’s handiwork. It was intricate and elegant, yet whimsical. And the cake tasted delicious! We chose a lemon cake with raspberry filling and loved every bite. The cake wasn’t overly sweet and it was so fluffy and moist; even the fondant was tasty. My husband and I just had a piece of leftover cake two weeks after the wedding, and it is still delicious! Martina strives for and achieves perfection. Also, her Yummy Rummies are to die for! I will surely be reaching out to Martina when we’re celebrating another special occasion.

We knew we wanted Martina to make our wedding cake the day of our tasting! Her cake flavors stood apart from any of the other bakers we tried so it was an easy decision. She is also so sweet and made the entire process from order to delivery smooth and stress free. Once we saw the cake on our wedding day it was truly a work of art! Very easy to work with; incredibly impressive (and delicious) cake
I highly recommend M&T Events. First, they were extremely easy to work with. Setting up a tasting took just a couple of emails. The tasting itself was great - the owner showed us around her very impressive and professional home studio, let us look at a number of sample cakes she had created, and talked us through the various cake options (which were all delicious). Any time we had an update or a question, she responded promptly and completely. On the day of, they brought the cake where it was supposed to be at the time it was supposed to be there with no hassle, and the cake itself was absolutely beautiful. You can look at the pictures she has up and see how amazing her work is - I can't adequately describe it here. It really did come out as beautiful as we expected it to be based on her previous work. Everyone was extremely impressed with the cake. It was also delicious! I was so sad I only got one piece of it - it was so good. I couldn't recommend M&T more. If I ever have any other special events to plan for in the DC area, they'll be the first people I call.

We’re extremely happy with the cake provided by Martina of M&T Events Custom Cakes on our wedding day! Months before our wedding, we had a cake tasting and discussed the cake design with Martina in several conversations. Because I myself was planning our wedding, I had many detailed questions and creative ideas in mind. Martina exceeded our expectations with her professionalism, business savvy, and creative skills. Leading up to our wedding day, she offered very helpful suggestions to make the cake and cake presentation special. On our wedding day, we can say without a doubt that we were especially pleased with the lovely cake and cake presentation. We received so many compliments on the design and taste! The Willy Wonka of Cakes
Holy moly! Martina at M&T events is going to be doing making my cakes for every and all occasions. She’s quick to respond to emails, I had a cake tasting within hours of emailing her. Her tastings are fresh and EVERYTHING she makes is edible (even her itemized invoice). My husband (ah husband!!) and Is cake was everything we wanted and more. Words cannot describe how we felt when we met first met Martina the owner. She is loving, genuine, professional and everything she does is in your best interest, it was like meeting a distant family member.

We absolutely loved the cakes they made for our wedding, and the customer service we received!! We ended up going with a cupcake tower with a "traditional-ish" topper, and it far exceeded our expectations!!! We had three different flavor cupcakes, and the topper was our favorite of the three flavors. Also, aside from the cake, a BIG hit was the rum balls!!!! Absolute must have!! M&T is our new favorite baker, and we plan to use them whenever we need dessert for an event!!

My husband and I went to 6 cake tastings before we went here. Everywhere else was either to expensive or could not accommodate our design. My wedding was technology themed. From the beginning of the cake tasting, I knew this was going to be our decision. She had tons of samples not only of the cake flavor combos, but of other desserts and decor. Her workshop is a dream. Everything they make is edible!!! We asked for a second cake tasting to try some nontraditional cake flavors. They were so accommodating! Both cake tastings were free. We ordered a wedding cake, groom cake, yummy rummies, gluten free cupcakes, and centerpieces. Our wedding cake was beautiful and they took such good care of my grandmothers cake topper from her wedding in the 60s. So beautiful. Our groom cake was beyond what her sketches were. It lights up!!! Days after the wedding and it was still glowing! Her yummy rummies are to die for. Think better than 5 star rum balls. All ingredients straight from Germany with good booze and chocolate! She was so understanding of allergies and incorporated it into the display. As a bride planning a wedding, you always worry about the centerpieces. What should they be? How big? Design? She makes edible centerpieces. The reception was so entertaining because of the these centerpieces. I will be using these ladies for everything in the future. I will not use any other baker, ever. Thank you ladies so much!!!

I absolutely loved, loved working with M&T Events. Being a bride and having to deal with many vendors is not easy. Martina made it such an easy process and was available to answer any questions at anytime. Our wedding cake looked amazing in sketches that Martina drew and brought it to life, it was even more beautiful than I expected. The precision and detail of her work is beyond expectation. I even went in for a cake tasting for the second time and she treated me as if I came to see her for the first. She is great to work with and her personality makes up for everything along with the passion she has for baking. I would definitely be going back to her for other cakes and baked goods and have recommended her to many of my family and friends already!

We worked with Martina one year ago for our wedding based on a recommendation of two friends getting married right before us who were also working with M&T Events Custom Cakes for their wedding cake. Martina is such a warm, calm and accommodating individual. My wife went into our initial meeting with pictures of wedding cakes she liked and Martina put her at ease and stated she could make whichever cake she liked best. Our wedding cake looked amazing, tasted even better, delivered on time and as beautiful as the picture my wife showed Martina. The price is also very reasonable based on other vendors, the amount of work required, and the importance of the wedding cake to the wedding. To put it over the top, we required gelatin not be used and Martina was very understanding and accommodating to use substitute products. She truly has a talent. We dealt with a lot of vendors for our wedding, a lot were very difficult, but Martina and our wedding cake was such a pleasant experience that we will definitely be repeat customers for other events.

Not only did our wedding cake look beautiful but tasted delicious and was exceptionally moist! All of our wedding guests said it was the best cake they have ever tasted. We will be using M&T Events Custom for all our future events.

Martina was amazing! She was so professional and made our dream cake come alive! The cake was stunning! It was delicious and delievered on time setup and just beyond words. The detailed work and flowers were just spectacular and each layer of cake had its own special touch. It was inspired by my dress which was exact to the touch. The colors and shape even the flowers just everything was prefect! I cant imagine anything better. I am dedicated for life! Love M&T!

Lovely mother/daughter team who created a custom cake for our special day. We had a gorgeous colorful cake that was made to our specifications. They let us use their base and made a number of side dessert for a very very impressive dessert table. Would recommend 100 percent.

If I can give 10 stars rating to our cake made by Martina for our wedding, I would! At the cake tasting she made us taste seven different cake flavors to choose from. Picking two flavors for our two-tiered cake was very fun and impressive. She has the cake flavors down to a science and the options were beautifully shown to us down with a checklist for us to rate each flavor. We chose the Chocolate Rocher flavor for the top tier and the Almond Amaretto for the base, and at the day of the wedding, all the guests were asking where we got the cake from!
Not only does the cake tasted superb, but it's also visually breathtaking! Martina got the romantic feel and the Christmas-y feel that I wanted for our wedding cake. I made sure that we saved the sugar flowers as they're too pretty to eat and we didn't get the traditional bride/groom cake topper.
M&Ts cake shop is almost an hour away from where we live, but we'll make sure we'll order from them again. We had to make last minute changes to our order because of the increase in the number of guests, and Martina so kindly accommodated our request.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Martina for making a memorable and very beautiful cake for our wedding.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Martina and Tiffany. The wedding cake they created for my husband and I was SO beautiful and delicious!! They are so warm, sweet, and welcoming; we loved them from the very first time we had our cake tasting in their lovely home. They are accommodating, positive, and professional. They always responded to my emails fairly quickly and reassured us that they will use only the highest quality ingredients for our cake. We chose a dulce de leche cake with white fondant and let me tell you--this isn't just any boring, chalky fondant. It was light, soft, fluffy, and delicious! The cake had just the right amount of sweetness and was just delectable. It was also beautiful to look at! They also made us rosewater macarons for our dessert table and we weren't even able to taste them--they were so good, the guests snatched them up very fast! Honestly, they make a great team, and I highly recommend their services for any occasion. Thank you, Martina and Tiffany for creating the wedding cake of our dreams! We got married on October 28, 2017.

M & T Events was recommended to me by my best friend. My husband and our moms went for the cake tasting and everything was so wonderful. So many different flavors to taste, which were all so delicious! Not to mention, all of the other cakes that were displayed that were just absolutely stunning! I showed Martina a general picture of what I wanted and she drew up a draft right then and there and it was spot on. I was so excited on the wedding day to see the finished product and she NAILED IT!!! The cake was super light, perfect raspberry flavor and all of my guest thoroughly enjoyed! We received so many compliments. I would recommend M & T to any future bride or anybody looking for a specilaty cake for sure!!!

M&T events was absolutely perfect for our wedding. Martina accommodated food allergies for guests and created an amazing design for our cake that fit into our theme. The cake was perfection and tasted amazing. Once we returned from our honeymoon we still had some leftover and it was still as moist and tasty as the first day! We are so happy that we chose M&T Events for our wedding cake. Martina and Tiffany designed and created the most incredible wedding cake imaginable. Everyone who saw the cake was in awe of skill involved in creating such a masterpiece. Our day of coordinator, photographer, family, friends, and staff at the country club including the catering coordinator and executive chef all said that it was one of the most amazing cakes they have ever seen. Thankfully the taste of the cake matched the appearance. It was amazing! We cannot thank Martina and Tiffany enough for the amazing cake she created for our wedding.
We highly recommend M&T Events to ANYONE looking for the most spectacular cake for their event. The entire process was a pleasure from first contact to consumption. Martina was nice enough to squeeze a tasting in for us after her normal hours with only a couple days’ notice as we do not live in the area. When we showed up, Martina was all set up and ready to go with 2 tasting plates filled with different flavor samples, a piece of paper and pencil to rank each flavor, a cold bottle of water, and a complementary box of treats to go. She talked to us about the company, telling us how she started it with her daughter and describing the flavors that they use. Then we provided some basic information about our event and some information about what we had in mind for the cake. Within a matter of minutes, she had drawn a beautiful 3 level cake with enough detail that we truly felt comfortable that we knew what we would be getting. M&T Events was one of our favorite wedding vendors to work with and we are so so happy that we chose them to make our cake.

I loved everything about M&T Events. During our cake tasting Tiffany greeted us with a sweet smile. Martina
drew a sketch from hand of what our cake would look like, and it was better than the picture I found on Pinterest! The cake itself was so fresh! Any question or concern I had Martina was there to respond in a matter of minutes. Of all my vendors she was my favorite. Our cake was phenomenal! Thank you ladies!!

My husband and I had a very rustic themed wedding. Therefore, we we're looking for someone to make us a "naked" cake. Martina welcomes us so warmly into her home for the tasting and we found a cake we loved. She worked with us on all our rustic details and boy, did she deliver!!!! The cake was beautiful and tasted so good. We had so many wonderful compliments. I feel like underused her beautiful cake making artistry with out smoke tastes but it was exactly as I envisioned it! I will definitely be ordering more cakes from her for other events.

The cake they created for us was breathtaking and delicious!!! We made a point to tell our guests to not skip eating the cake because we were so excited about it. It was a hit!! The lemon blackberry cake is a winner!!! They also worked within our budget, were so glad we went with M & T!!!

OH MY GOODNESS. My fiance (now husband!) and I were on a search for delicious quality wedding cake. We went to several tastings, mostly in the more northern area of Northern Virginia (Fairfax, Reston, etc.) but we just didn't find anything that was hitting all the marks. Then we thought we'd explore the southern areas of NOVA (Woodbridge!), and we hit the jackpot - M&T's cake hit all the marks:
1) Fluffy and moist thick cake
2) Unbelievably Delicious fondant (we don't even like fondant, and originally weren't considering it!)
3) A unique delicious flavor/not vanilla (ours was Dulce de Leche, and a super HIT!!)
4) Creamy (we love our textures)
5) Reasonably priced (competitve for sure)
6) Beautiful design (we expected a plain white cake, and we got a beautiful green & gold design they created in 2 mins!!!)
We not only got the above, we received family treatment from the moment met them at the tasting to the day they reached my maid of honor to coordinate the cake set up at our venue, the Atrium at Meadowlark. My maid of honor mentioned that they were so personable and lovely. Our guests actually came up to us (in the middle of our own wedding, mind you!) just to ask if we've already tried the cake because it was THAT delicious. We reminded them that we were the first to cut and taste the cake =).
My Hubby and I are actually still eating the cake days later ... we should probably stop, but we simply CAN'T - their cake is ridiculously delicious. I want to say there's this perfect ratio of fondant to buttercream that they've mastered. Thank you Tiffany and Martina, you two are true bakers in every sense of the term, true artists, and such a warm and welcoming duo. We highly recommend M&T events to to all the brides and grooms out there!! - N & A

These two ladies are absolutely phenomenal!! I cannot write a review that raves enough on how professional and kind this team is! When I saw my cake for the first time my jaw just dropped. Oh my goodness!!!! I cannot be more happy with the service provided by Martina. The moment we walked into her home, she was so welcoming! Amazing from start to finish. I didn't order a wedding cake but I did order an event cake. And her pricing is awesome! She is so nice and personable and I pretty much know that the cake is going to come out excellent. She walked us through the whole process, she drew out the cake and gave us ideas. She's my new cake "go-to" from now on.

I am so thankful that Martina and Tiffany were recommended to me. Not only were they very responsive, they were flexible and so easy to work with. The cake that was designed for our event was absolutely georgious and so creative. I really couldn't have asked for a better design. We opted for a simple yellow cake with chocolate butter cream icing and it was delicious. I would highly recommend Martina and Tiffany and we will definitely be using them again!

They made me 3 gorgeous cakes for Thanksgiving that looked like real pumpkins carved out to hold floral arrangements. Everything was totally edible and my guests were delighted to find out what they thought were beautiful floral arrangements were actually the most delicious cakes!! P.S. The flowers were edible too! Will definitely be calling M&T again for my next event!
