  Best Photographer and Easy Going!

  Paula and her husband Dan shot our 10/13/2023 wedding and they were incredible!
  Paula took her time to listen to what we wanted and the must have shots. She asked about what kind of "vibe" we wanted to achieve and she NAILED IT. We wanted to have a relaxed and candid vibe, but also the formal look for our wedding photos. She likes to crack jokes to get that natural smile and she and Dan have this amazing ability to capture the moment.
  Paula knows that some people are not comfortable getting there photos taken, she does her very best to get you to relax and just have fun. During our engagement session we were all laughing and walking around the park just taking photos. She took us all over Harkness Park and we got such a wide variety it was hard to pick favorites.
  She was very hands on through the whole process, from when we had our first chat to texting us to let us know our album is ready for pick up. She is eager to ensure you have all the best photos of the most exciting day of your life.

  Beautiful photos, would recommend

  We were so happy going with Paula and Dan for our September wedding. She made it very comfortable for two awkward people getting married. She was adored by the guests and the wedding party. Her photos came out beautifully! I'd recommend Luz photography to any of my friends or family.

  Best Photographer Ever!!!

  Paula and her Husband Dan exceeded are expectations and delivered us with photos that we will cherish forever. Our big day meant a lot to us as it was our 12 year dating anniversary and they both went above and beyond to capture every moment they could. From the start she listened to everything that we wanted and made us feel like we have know her forever. The work Paula and Dan do truly is amazing and I would recommend them every time.

  Amazing Wedding Experience in Mystic, CT

  Paula was great to work with and was a savior for our wedding! We had an issue with our prior photographer and I reached out to her a couple months before our wedding. She moved things around with her personal life to have her and her husband photograph our wedding, which I was very grateful for. During our wedding, she was professional the entire time and was on point with our timeline. She kept a timer on her which allowed us to keep on track with our first look, ceremony, and reception photos. She had great poses lined up for us and made me and our party feel comfortable the whole time. I highly recommend using Paula as a photographer for your next big event! We already reached out to her to capture newborn photos for when our baby comes this year.

  Awesome experience

  Paula was so amazing to work with. Anytime we had questions she was right there to answer. Luz photography had the best packages for the price. They offered so much within each package that others didn’t. She made our whole experience amazing. She is so down to earth which made taking pictures easy. She’s willing to do whatever to make your day go smoothly and I am so grateful for that!

  Favorite vendor by a long shot! You will not be disappointed!

  My fiancé and I had the pleasure of working with Paula and Dan for our 2023 wedding! From the moment we contacted Paula we knew she was the perfect photographer for us! Paula and Dan made us feel comfortable right from the start, when we met them for our engagement shoot! They were very professional knowledgeable about weddings and hilarious! Paula prices are very reasonable and fair! The packages that she offers are very worthwhile! Paula was easy to get a hold of my phone whenever we had any questions! The day of our wedding, Paula was nothing but supportive and helpful-friends and family raved about how awesome Paula and Dan were! Paula is the whole package! She was very helpful as far as coordinating the ceremony, helping us advocate to other vendors, and very accommodating! I cannot recommend Paula enough. She truly made our wedding so much more special!!

  Paula and Dan, the dream team!

  Paula and Dan are absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond on my wedding day. Not only did they capture amazing pictures of our big day, Paula even helped sew up the back of my dress to make dancing easier and kept sticky tape in her pocket to fix my dress strap whenever I needed. If I could give them 10 stars I would, they are the dream team!

  I am not sure where to start, Paula and Dan are absolutely fantastic! We met them through my sister n law after they did her wedding a few years ago. We did not hesitate to ask them to do our engagement photos and wedding photos! They are two of the kindest and FUNNIEST people I have had the pleasure of meeting! This makes a difference when you are in such stressful situations, a little laughter and kindness go such a long way.
  
  They photographed our wedding in August and I am still speechless about the amazing photos we will have for the rest of our lives. They captured every part of our wedding and more than I could have imagined was possible.
  
  Paula was on top of everything, she made sure we got all of our photos done without stressing about a single thing. Hands down, Paula and Dan were the hardest-working vendors at our event.

  Luz Photography by Paula has more to offer than just the pictures

  We met Paula in late 2019 at a wedding expo in Bolton, CT and immediately fell in love with her work. We were planning a long engagement and booked her not long after we met her for our June 2022 wedding. Taking our engagement pictures was one of our favorite days during our engagement. We are a couple who doesn’t really know how to take a great picture together but Paula hyped us up and knew exactly how to pose us. She was so much fun to work with. We loved how our engagement pictures turned out! We spent about two and a half years following her work on social media and between seeing the photos that she posted and our own engagement pictures, we knew that we had hired one of the best photographers out there. We were not prepared to be truly blown away with how amazing our own wedding photos came out. We can’t stop looking at them and we have so many favorites that we really don’t know how we are going to choose which ones to display in our home.
  While we were wedding planning, one thing that we heard over and over again was that you really want to love the vendors that you hire. After our engagement session, there was no doubt that we had made the right choice. Leading up to our wedding, Paula answered any questions we had, helped us with our timeline, and recommended our incredible videographer. On our wedding day, we spent the same amount of time, if not more time with Paula and Dan (her second shooter) than we did with our bridal party. They were such a big part of our day and felt like an extension to our bridal party with how funny and personable they are. Our pictures are of us but our memories include them. We could not have asked for a better photographer team. So many people at our wedding commented at how much they liked our photographer and we will always recommend them!

  Luz photography is the best

  10/10 recommend!! I will be using Luz Photography for all my future professional photography needs, as well as recommending to everyone. We used Luz Photography for our wedding. I am still blown away with how amazing Paula and Dan are, and how perfect and beautiful my photos along with our wedding album came out. Price was extremely reasonable for everything you get! Paula does not waste one second of capturing your special day! She also assisted in our wedding rehearsal, which was not an easy task, seeing how our wedding party was a very rowdy crowd. But nonetheless, she got all of us the same page and captured the most amazing pictures. She also gets the most beautiful, real and raw candids. I have been with my now husband for 9 years and never saw him cry, and thanks to Paula I have documented proof to remember forever!!! Thank you Paula and Dan for everything from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!

  Best photographer!

  We highly recommend working with Paula and her husband! We can't say enough about how amazing they are and the work they do. She was there to help me throughout my whole wedding day and went above and beyond. I hadn't had a chance to eat or anything to drink for several hours and Paula went out her way to grab me a plate of appetizers and water while I nursed my daughter. She even got my infant daughter to smile in all the photos! She was incredible and I can't wait to work with them again

  Highly Recommended!

  I would highly recommend Paula of Luz Photography. We were looking for a photographer last minute for our small, backyard wedding ceremony and Paula stepped right up to help us out. Paula was easy to communicate with and made us feel totally at ease from the moment she arrived. She was able to capture all the images I had requested (and then some!!) She gave clear. thoughtful directions to everyone in the pictures to make them look perfect! We loved the creativity that came out through her photography. We definitely loved the photos we got back and would highly recommend her for your special day!

  Paula is the absolute best!

  We love love love Paula and her husband Dan! They have done 2 of our friends weddings and now ours! They drove 4 hours for our wedding! They are absolutely incredible and there is no way our wedding would have been as great as it was if it wasn’t for Paula and Dan! So thankful for them!!! I can not thank you guys enough!!

  Unbelievable experience. Makes you feel comfortable and listens to what you truly want. Not afraid to do whatever it takes to get the best shot. Hid in bushes, laid on the floor, climbed on things to get the best shot. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

  The Pens are cool too

  There are few people who pour as much heart and soul into their work, as Dan and Paula do. My wife and I worked with Luz Photography for both our engagement and wedding shoots. The pictures are absolutely stunning and really capture the characters of everyone there. They really take their time to research and plan, and then take even more time capturing the perfect shots and angles. I hate getting my picture taken, and so does my wife, but we had FUN thanks to Paula and Dan (and we look good too 😉). The best thing for me is how happy my wife gets looking back at the pictures. Worth every penny and then more.

  Absolutely AMAZING Photographers!

  Paula and Dan are amazing! They did both our engagement shoot and our wedding and I could not be happier with how things turned out.
  From the very beginning, Paula and Dan have been extremely helpful and accommodating. They helped us pick out the best package for us and helped us customize it to fit our wants and needs. They were very thorough, asking us about the vision we had for our wedding and through our conversations, Paula and Dan were able to capture who my husband and I were in every picture they took.
  Before the wedding, Paula helped me plan the day and scheduled where she and Dan would be at what time, both of them traveling to multiple locations to take pictures of me, the bridesmaids, and the groom and groomsmen. It was so relieving to know how the day was going to go and knowing that we would get all the pictures we desired.
  On the day of the wedding, Paula and Dan were wonderful. Even though the weather was less than desirable (we had quite a few rain showers throughout the day), they were able to make everything work and come out beautiful. They were able to take all the pictures very quickly without it feeling rushed at all AND we were able to enjoy the day with our family and friends. They were also very diligent and accommodating when it came to taking the obscene amount of formal wedding pictures I asked for. They never questioned anything we asked for. They made sure that they could do everything in their power to do everything we wanted.
  My favorite parts about having them as photographers were
  1. how comfortable they made us feel all day. Even though we are extremely shy around a camera, both my husband and I were not nervous or anxious about taking the pictures or how they would turn out
  2. how smoothly the day went while they captured every moment. We did not feel like we had cameras in our face at any point and we got to truly enjoy our day without feeling pushed around or forced to do something before we were ready. We had more than enough time to interact with all of our guests while still having pictures taken.
  Overall, I am elated to have had Paula and Dan from Luz Photography be our wedding photographers. They made our day feel even more special and magical AND the pictures came out extremely wonderful. I would HIGHLY recommend Luz Photography for everyone, especially anyone who may not feel super comfortable in front of a camera.

On the day of the wedding, they went back and forth between the groom and bride's locations and kept us all on track! The pictures speak for themselves and are so beautiful.   Superb, all around

  I feel so blessed for the opportunity to have Paula and her husband shoot my wedding. When I first saw the pictures, I literally wanted to cry because they were so good! She made the entire family feel comfortable and relaxed before, during and after the wedding; It didn't feel forced at all. The quality of the pictures was beyond what I could have ever asked for. I absolutely would work with Lutz Photography again!

  Amazing!

  Paula and Dan were such a great duo to work with! They made each photo op (engagement and wedding) fun! Paula is very artistic in her photography. She listened to our thoughts and opinions and also had great suggestions. I would highly recommend Luz and definitely plan on using her in the future for baby/family pictures!

  Paula was the best photographer I could ask for; she not only took amazing photos, but fixed the straps on my dress, communicated with the DJ for me, and helped keep on schedule. 10/10 would recommend
