Paula and her husband Dan were the absolute best photographers we could have asked for on our wedding day. Despite some unforeseen challenges — from sudden rain to what felt like a million people trying to take pictures — they remained incredibly patient, calm, and professional throughout it all, and were able to capture beautiful memories we will cherish forever.
Paula was more than just a photographer; she was truly my right hand the entire day. She made sure I was standing correctly, helped adjust my dress, and even reminded me to eat when everything got hectic. She went far beyond the duties of a photographer, and I’m so grateful for her care and attention.
Dan was incredible as well. As the behind-the-scenes, second photographer, he made sure we were staying on schedule, meeting our timelines, and keeping everything running smoothly. His support ensured we stayed on the agenda and felt calm and organized throughout the day.
The pictures were absolutely stunning, and our album was breathtaking. Paula is extremely reachable, easy to communicate with, and so much fun to work with. Her warm personality made the entire process enjoyable from start to finish.
I can’t recommend Paula and Dan enough. Their talent, kindness, and dedication helped make our wedding day smoother, happier, and completely unforgettable. -

Paula and Dan were absolutely amazing! Paula is so easy to get along with and was a blast to work with. She was extremely responsive and organized. Paula kept me, my fiancé and my 1 and 4 year old on track the day of the wedding (which is a miracle!). Our friends and family could not stop talking about how wonderful she was. Paula is incredibly creative and got the most beautiful shots! We will treasure these photos for many many years! I would 100% recommend her!! -

Great photographer with a great personality!
Paula and Dan did an excellent job at photographing our wedding, and engagement photos. Paula is responsive and a lot of fun. Some guests told us she was great!
She got our photos to us way sooner than we were expecting! I can't stop looking at them. -

Paula and her Husband Dan exceeded are expectations and delivered us with photos that we will cherish forever. Our big day meant a lot to us as it was our 12 year dating anniversary and they both went above and beyond to capture every moment they could. From the start she listened to everything that we wanted and made us feel like we have know her forever. The work Paula and Dan do truly is amazing and I would recommend them every time. -

Paula and her husband Dan shot our 10/13/2023 wedding and they were incredible!
Paula took her time to listen to what we wanted and the must have shots. She asked about what kind of "vibe" we wanted to achieve and she NAILED IT. We wanted to have a relaxed and candid vibe, but also the formal look for our wedding photos. She likes to crack jokes to get that natural smile and she and Dan have this amazing ability to capture the moment.
Paula knows that some people are not comfortable getting there photos taken, she does her very best to get you to relax and just have fun. During our engagement session we were all laughing and walking around the park just taking photos. She took us all over Harkness Park and we got such a wide variety it was hard to pick favorites.
She was very hands on through the whole process, from when we had our first chat to texting us to let us know our album is ready for pick up. She is eager to ensure you have all the best photos of the most exciting day of your life.

Paula and her husband were absolutely amazing to work with! From the moment she walked in the door she was so easy to talk to, understanding and had the most wonderful energy! She got right down on the floor and started taking pictures of my rings and decor without me even having to lift a finger. She made my day stress free with her calm demeanor and helpful advice. I truly could not have asked for a better person to work with. My husband and I are so grateful you made the day so smooth and our guests couldn't stop talking about not only the beautiful pictures, but how great Paula was each step of the way! We love love love Paula and her husband Dan! They have done 2 of our friends weddings and now ours! They drove 4 hours for our wedding! They are absolutely incredible and there is no way our wedding would have been as great as it was if it wasn’t for Paula and Dan! So thankful for them!!! I can not thank you guys enough!! -

I would highly recommend Paula of Luz Photography. We were looking for a photographer last minute for our small, backyard wedding ceremony and Paula stepped right up to help us out. Paula was easy to communicate with and made us feel totally at ease from the moment she arrived. She was able to capture all the images I had requested (and then some!!) She gave clear. thoughtful directions to everyone in the pictures to make them look perfect! We loved the creativity that came out through her photography. We definitely loved the photos we got back and would highly recommend her for your special day! -

Paula and Dan are amazing! They did both our engagement shoot and our wedding and I could not be happier with how things turned out.
From the very beginning, Paula and Dan have been extremely helpful and accommodating. They helped us pick out the best package for us and helped us customize it to fit our wants and needs. They were very thorough, asking us about the vision we had for our wedding and through our conversations, Paula and Dan were able to capture who my husband and I were in every picture they took.
Before the wedding, Paula helped me plan the day and scheduled where she and Dan would be at what time, both of them traveling to multiple locations to take pictures of me, the bridesmaids, and the groom and groomsmen. It was so relieving to know how the day was going to go and knowing that we would get all the pictures we desired.
On the day of the wedding, Paula and Dan were wonderful. Even though the weather was less than desirable (we had quite a few rain showers throughout the day), they were able to make everything work and come out beautiful. They were able to take all the pictures very quickly without it feeling rushed at all AND we were able to enjoy the day with our family and friends. They were also very diligent and accommodating when it came to taking the obscene amount of formal wedding pictures I asked for. They never questioned anything we asked for. They made sure that they could do everything in their power to do everything we wanted.
My favorite parts about having them as photographers were
1. how comfortable they made us feel all day. Even though we are extremely shy around a camera, both my husband and I were not nervous or anxious about taking the pictures or how they would turn out
2. how smoothly the day went while they captured every moment. We did not feel like we had cameras in our face at any point and we got to truly enjoy our day without feeling pushed around or forced to do something before we were ready. We had more than enough time to interact with all of our guests while still having pictures taken.
Overall, I am elated to have had Paula and Dan from Luz Photography be our wedding photographers. They made our day feel even more special and magical AND the pictures came out extremely wonderful. I would HIGHLY recommend Luz Photography for everyone, especially anyone who may not feel super comfortable in front of a camera. -

Paula and Dan of Luz Photography were fantastic all the way from our engagement photos to the wedding. They spent so much time chatting about our vision and desires and budget and were so accommodating. On the day of the wedding, they went back and forth between the groom and bride's locations and kept us all on track! The pictures speak for themselves and are so beautiful. Paula is fantastic and has vision that I relied on to capture our day. Highly recommend this fun and talented couple! -

I feel so blessed for the opportunity to have Paula and her husband shoot my wedding. When I first saw the pictures, I literally wanted to cry because they were so good! She made the entire family feel comfortable and relaxed before, during and after the wedding; It didn't feel forced at all. The quality of the pictures was beyond what I could have ever asked for. Paula is AMAZING!! She just did the photos for my wedding this past weekend. I knew from the moment I meet her at one of the many wedding expos I went to while planning my wedding that she was the person I wanted for my photos. Not only was her wedding package very reasonably priced, her bubbly and sweet personality combined with her take charge way of photographing made for an awesome day and even better pictures! Amazing!
Paula and Dan were such a great duo to work with! They made each photo op (engagement and wedding) fun! Paula is very artistic in her photography. She listened to our thoughts and opinions and also had great suggestions. I would highly recommend Luz and definitely plan on using her in the future for baby/family pictures! -

If you are looking for talented and professional photographers for your special occasion you should look no further. We truly cannot say enough good things about Paula and Dan of Luz Photography.
Last year my father got ill unexpectedly and we decided to pull our wedding forward so that he could be part of the experience. To make matters more complicated we live on the west coast and had to plan a wedding in CT with vendors we didn’t know. We had A LOT to do and 3 months to do it. We were very lucky to find Paula. She was instrumental in helping us not only with the photos but also with making sure we had our other organizational bases covered.
Paula was not only our photographer, she was a friend in a time of need.
Below are some highlights of our experience of working with Paula and what you can expect as a customer:
1. Paula is a talented and creative photographer, and was able to weave in many creative shots along with the must-have wedding photos (which also looked great)
2. Paula can be trusted. She will show up on time, deliver great results, and help keep things on track on the day of the event.
3. Paula makes it fun, she cracks jokes and makes people feel comfortable
4. Paula captures people in candid moments. Many photos perfectly captured the expressions of our loved ones. This really made it fun to review the photos afterwards, we felt like we got to experience our favourite day from so many perspectives.
5. Paula listens to her customers. She asks questions first and then provides advice on how to achieve the desired outcome.
6. Paula is a planner, she took the time to understand the flow of our event, which allowed her to capture all the special moments so we will be able to relive the day for years to come.
A few pieces of advice:
1. Use the photo booth, it was a blast, the guests loved it, and we got the digital copies after which were fun to review.
2. Get the photo book. Paula did a wonderful job putting it together and it turned out wonderfully.
3. If you can get Dan as well you should do it, for more than one hour. Having two photographers to capture different perspectives and reactions really worked well.
3. Get Dan to make you some special pens for the day of, they are really beautiful and can be customized to your theme. Ours were proudly displayed with our guest book.
We could go on and on about Paula and Dan, but I think the photos on the website speak for themselves. We’ve never looked better. Thank you Luz Photography, for commemorating our favorite day.
