    Best Wedding Dress Shopping Experience

    LBR bridal has a beautiful selection of dresses. I had the privilege of working with MJ, she had preselected a few dresses based off of my likes and interests. Everything she picked out was perfect and she even helped me try different dresses. She was super sweet and encouraging and in the end helped me say yes to the dress! Overall I had a wonderful experience at LBR bridal and would recommend anyone looking for their wedding dress to shop there!

    Fun, low stress and special experience

    We had a very unique experience! Mu sister and I are engaged at the same time . We had already gone to 5 other bridal places before this one and she had extra time left. My sister said go try a few on! I tried on two and found the one !! Mikaela was incredible!! She was so knowledgeable and easy to work with! She made the experience the best it possible could be!! She makes that place! Thank you for all your help!

    Affordable. Helpful. Special. Safe.

    I went to get my dress during the peak of COVID 19. The LBR staff made my experience both special and safe...AND I found my dream wedding dress! Maria and her team are absolutely incredible and truly put the customer first. My dress was absolutely stunning and truly perfect for me. Thank you Maria & LBR for making my big day so special and pictures timeless!

    Extremely Surprised!

    I was convinced I found "the one" while shopping at a different store. I made a last minute appointment at LBR in order to compare every dress to "the one" so I could solidify just how much I loved it. WRONG. Within 5 minutes of talking with my stylist Keturah she knew what my vision was and boy did she deliver! After trying on her first selection I forgot all about the dress I almost purchased. I knew this one was really it! Not only that, but their selection was amazing and she did a great job of pulling my vision together. I am extremely surprised and so very thankful I made that last minute appointment at LBR!

    Easy, fun, SUCCESSFUL appointment

    LBR was by far my favorite experience while looking for THE dress for me. It was relaxed and all the dresses that were recommended were spot on to what I imagined myself wearing. Keturah and Maria were so pleasant and lovely and could decipher from my indecisive answers exactly what I wanted and were so supportive during the whole process. I didn't feel pressured at any time and had a blast, and more importantly, walked out with the dress of my dreams. Thank you, LBR!

    Thank you Maria for helping my crazy vision come to life!

    This was the first place I went to, and said yes to the third dress I tried on!! I came in with an idea of what I wanted, and a designer that I vibed with, but with no idea about fit/ how things would actually look on me. Greek Maria (vs. Italian Maria lol) was my stylist and she NAILED my personality, which is not easy to do! I truly thought I was going to be impossible to please, because I wanted a classic/elegant dress, but somehow wanted to add colors/glitter/craziness to my look. Exhaustive searches online showed either one or the other. Maria picked up on my energy as soon as I walked in the door and pulled together a beautiful Eva Lendel elegant dress (Margo dress without the sleeves) THEN ADDED A GLITTER CAPE (Daniel cape only, not the dress). It's so perfect, and really captures my energy perfectly! Thank you so so so much Maria!!!

    Professional & Funny

    Maria & Maria are professional, kind, warm and accommodating. They made me feel as though I was an old friend they wanted to style, rather than a client. As a student, I am on a tight budget and both Maria's went out of their way to ensure I found the perfect gown.

    Amazing shop!

    I had such an amazing experience at Luxe Bridal Rack! I went in only 2 months before my wedding, and I was very nervous knowing I would need to buy off the rack. However, their off the rack gowns were absolutely stunning, as well as every other dress in the shop! I was lucky enough to have Maria, the owner, for my appointment, and she was SO wonderful and knowledgable. I ended up finding the most gorgeous and unique dress for my big day!! I highly recommend putting this shop on your list!

    Flawless Experience and Gown

    Everything about my experience with the Birmingham Luxe location was perfect. Jessica knew just what to bring out, listened to everything, and their private shopping experience is nothing like many of the other crowded, cheesy bridal experiences nearby. The real star is their seamstress. I found the gown I wanted but ask for custom sleeves to built and other alterations. She created the perfect dress without any corrections needed and brought me to tears when I saw the final product. Lots of hugs to everyone at Luxe!

    Amazing Dress

    My wife's dress was stunning! I wasn't ready to pay the big price tag, but I'm sure glad that I did! It was well worth it!

    Dream dress!

    I planned my wedding in two months so finding a dress that needed to be custom-made or needed 8 weeks shipping time wasn’t an option.

    Luxe has a large selection of dresses that can be bought off the rack so I took a chance. I fell in love with my dress at first sight! For ease, I booked my alterations through them as well. Their seamstress needed to take a few things in and bring up the hem. She did an incredible job and my dress fit like a glove on my wedding day.

    They also had a large selection of dresses for order so this is a bridal store for everyone. The dresses were so dreamy with a great variety of styles to accommodate many different bridal tastes. I highly recommend Luxe!

    Wonderful Experience with my Wedding Gown!

    I had a great experience with Luxe Bridal Rack! They have the cutest little shop in Logan Square that I found due to them hosting a Pronovias trunk show. They were great to work with throughout the whole process! They have a seamstress on site which seems super rare for boutique shops in the area (at least others I had shopped at) so that was an added bonus! Alterations were reasonably priced and I loved that I didn’t have to add finding a seamstress to my to-do list! They even included a cute little emergency kit with my gown when I picked it up and made sure it was pressed perfectly and clipped up – there were literally no wrinkles when I opened up the bag! Overall I would definitely recommend!!

    The best experience I had dress shopping!

    This was the first bridal shop I went to, and was definitely the best! The staff were knowledgeable, polite, and patient. They were understanding when I wanted to continue my search to "see what else was out there". Trust me, there's not much else out there - the dresses at Luxe are such high quality at an affordable price, nothing else compared. I'm happy to have bought my dress from Luxe! They even let me try it on again before making the purchase. Thank you to the wonderful and helpful staff!

    I found THE dress!

    Luxe Bridal Rack was an absolutely amazing place to go wedding dress shopping! This was my 3rd salon we went to and after having a very poor experience at the 2nd place I was very discouraged about finding THE dress. But Luxe Bridal Rack and our stylist MaryClaire were absolutely perfect and made me feel so incredibly comfortable! MaryClaire kept the appointment about what I wanted and while still listening to my entourage's opinions veered them back to my style if they started looking at dresses that weren't me or out of budget. She was incredibly knowledgable about designers/ style/ silhouette/ material/ alternations/ etc and truly listened to all my likes/dislikes. Another awesome thing about Luxe Bridal Rack was that when making an appointment (easily done online) you have the entire salon to yourself with many options in my budget ($3,500)! This made me feel less overwhelmed and more comfortable to focus on me and my wants! In the end, we found the absolute perfect dress and I said "ok, I'm going to do it!" MaryClaire then made the measurements and ordering process very fast and pain free! I cannot wait to get my dress in a few months! I could not have had a better experience and honestly have no cons to mention!

    Great expierence

    had a great Experience at Luxe Bridal Rack, went to a lot different bridal shops but this was the only place that were honest, professional and were able to get my dress (Not all shops were able to order the dress I wanted).

    Couldn't ask for a better experience!

    I was an out of town bride shopping for my dress in Chicago since I will be moving there in a few months. Luxe Bridal Rack was the third store we went to over the weekend so I had already seen quite a few dresses. My consultant was amazing and let me and my family try on as many dresses as we wanted and was always so positive and gave me great advice. They have an amazing selection!
    Originally, I was not thinking of purchasing a sample gown from the rack, but I fell in love with one. Maria, the owner, was so sweet and talked me through the process of buying a gown off the rack and explained how they would be able to fix it up all the minor imperfections.
    We had a few more appointments at other salons, so we put the dress on hold and Maria scheduled me an appointment to come back the day we were going to fly out of Chicago. Of course, I didn't find a dress I liked more than the one at Luxe, so we went back and bought the dress.
    Since we were flying out, they let us leave the dress there until I would be able to pick it up when I move to the area.
    Seriously couldn't ask for a nicer group of people to work with and buy my dress from!

    Best selection and awesome value!

    This was my second stop on a long day of appointments. I found not just one, but two dresses I fell in love with and this was the only place I even found one I even remotely considered. After the last appointment of the day I came back to buy the dress because I needed to have peace of mind there wasn’t something else out there - there wasn’t. I worked with Keturah and she’s awesome, very good at talking you through all the things, doesn’t pressure you into buying and doesn’t upsell you. Although not your typical salon with private rooms and champagne flowing, the end result makes it a 5 star review.

    BEST Bridal Experience ever!

    I honestly don't even know where to begin this review...WOW! Let me just say that prior to coming to Luxe Bridal Rack, I had been to a few other salons in Chicago and none of the dresses were exceptionally exciting to me. I absolutely loved the selection at Luxe - there is truly something for everyone at (almost) every price point. They have a selection that is off the rack (for a great discount), and then a more traditional section where you can have the gowns ordered and made exactly for you. I have been to a few off the rack stores, but none of them have been even in the same ballpark as the selection here. There were Berta, Gaila Lahav, and other extremely high end dresses here for a GREAT deal.

    More so than just the dress selection, the associate I worked with (Keturah), was so knowledgable about the different styles, materials, how they can be altered for your specific style, and more. She also was not in a rush and let me take my time, which was really important to me as some other places just try to get you in and out so quickly. I truly can't say enough good things about Luxe Bridal Rack, and recommend absolutely any bride to come in!!

    Stupendous experience!

    Wow, where do I even begin?! From the moment we walked in, even after a long, tiring day of trying on several dresses, my experience at LBR was absolutely marvelous. My mom and I had the store to ourselves with Antonila, my LBR assistant. We instantly felt welcomed, getting comfy in some adorable LBR custom slides. Antonila started by explaining the layout of the showroom and asking well-informed questions about my dress shopping experiences thus far, as well as my preferences. She was very attentive and perceptive, quickly understanding my "style". Her knowledge about the dresses' designers, fits, styles, etc. was evident from the beginning.

    We pulled several dresses, and she once more knew all the right questions to help me narrow down my selections into a manageable few top choices (after trying on almost the whole store, which Antonila encouraged!). She never made me feel bad for wanting to try on more and more. She actually made the experience, which can be exhausting, super fun and exciting.

    When it came time to decide--as I knew one of these dresses was "the one"--Antonila was encouraging, patient, and genuinely vested in helping me find the perfect dress for ME. In the end, I found "the one" and could not be any happier! She also helped me find the perfect jewlery and veil, which we weren't expecting to find that day. All three of us celebrated with a few tears and hugs, and Antonila took some lovely pictures of my mom and me to celebrate the moment. All in all, I cannot recommend LBR enough to future brides!     Amazing service with lovely variety of dresses!

    The best experience I've had! I've been to several boutiques and bridal shops but have had horrible service experience. One place told me to go grab any of the dresses and just put them on in the fitting room by myself.

    Luxe Bridal was professional. I was pretty indecisive and not very confident about what I wanted. They helped me every step of the way and asked questions in regards to my style, what I like to wear, what hobbies etc. to get a feel of who I am.

    Based on my one and one with the stylist, we picked out some great options.

    My mom came with me and she was a little on the fence about the one dress I really loved. She's a traditional woman that loves tons of lace and shine, and I am the opposite of that.

    Maria came out and explained how the alterations I wanted would help make the dress quite elegant, and how we could order some of the shine from the bit of lace on the train of the dress and add it to the front to make it pop a bit. My mother is also Mexican and speaks English but she is more comfortable speaking Spanish and Maria explained all this in Spanish which was so kind of her. Definitely made my mom happier.

    I would recommend this place a thousand times over!

    So I will say I was extremely hesitant at first to schedule an appointment here ..... But I do not regret it one bit- It was amazing!!!!!!! To start: I was afraid everything would be so far out of my budget (I was trying to keep it under $3,000 preferably under $2,500 so that alterations would still keep me in budget) and I was! Maria was conscious of my budget and never made me feel out of place in her beautiful store. She also asked all of the right questions while I was in the dress to make sure I was feeling as good as I should be! I had been swaying between another dress and the one I tried on in her store and she was not once pushy or inconsiderate. All of the staff was so kind to my family and myself, which is important to me. In the end I was so happy I went there because I found THE dress (and we built a custom veil)!!! It was all under my $2,500 personal goal so that I left some monies for alterations!!

    Let me start off by saying I thought I was going to have a traumatic experience looking for a wedding dress. I walked into my appointment stressed and overwhelmed. However, as soon as I met my stylist Joceline everything changed. She was so patient and kind with me. Best of all, I did not feel pressured as I did in a previous shop. My decision came down to two dresses and I love that Joceline gave me her honest opinion. Best of all, she kept me in by budget. If you are looking for a beautiful dress, memorable shopping experience and something for a reasonable price, look no further. I can't thank the ladies at this shop enough for helping me find my dream dress!

    Maria and her team were the perfect partners for finding a dress. I made my appointment on a whim, but originally expected to design my own dress. They have created a low-pressure atmosphere that was perfect for my mom and I to enjoy our experience. I'm the youngest of four girls (and the last to get married), and my mom said this was the best experience she had.

    I highly recommend Luxe Bridal Rack to any bride who is searching for a wedding gown. The shop is small, but FILLED with beautiful dresses. There is a wonderful variety of dresses that can fit into many different budgets. Maria, the shop owner, is WONDERFUL and seriously made this experience so special. I was nervous about trying on dresses, but Maria helped calm me and make me excited about the whole process. In the end, this was the first and last shop I visited! I ended up buying the 2nd gown I tried on, but Maria was patient and helped me try on others to be sure. It was a great experience and I highly recommend Maria at LBR!

    i had canceled my appointment at 10 at first after running behind due to bad weather. we ended up getting down there quicker than what i thought, so i gave them a call to see if they could still squeeze me in at 10:30 and thankfully they did! i found my absolute dream dress here and couldn’t be more happy! maria and her girls not only made dress shopping so easy, but made me feel like a beautiful bride!

    I almost cancelled my appointment there originally- luckily I didn't. I was worried that they would only have a few sample sizes that wouldn't work for me. Not only do they have designer samples in many sizes but they also have gowns that can be ordered in any size. This was the 5th place I tried own gowns, and every place I went I found something I liked but nothing I fell in love with- until Luxe Bridal rack. I found a gorgeous gown that was exactly what I was looking for. I'm going sans veil and they also had a bunch of cool hair pieces as well. Everyone was super nice and helpful and they were definitely not pressuring me to buy immediately. Overall an awesome experience!

    Luxe Bridal Rack was the first appointment, and the last :) I had a good feeling about this boutique weeks before my appointment, and needless to say, I chose the very first dress I tried on. Not only is Luxe stylish and inviting, but the owner, Maria, couldn't have done a better job at describing the dress styles and designer backgrounds so I had knowledge about each piece I tried on. She quickly felt like apart of our family - me, my sisters, and my mother loved sharing this experience with her.     went here for my bridal gown!! The ladies here really take care of you and try to educate you a little about the different gown styles/fabrics and what looks best on your body type. It was such an improvement from the last store that I went to-- they really knew their stuff and care about the bride they are serving!

    Just a note- they have some gowns that you can order in any size while with some it is what you see is what you get. So if you are in love with a particular one, you might need to be prepared to purchase on the spot to not risk losing it!

    Great selection of dresses- some super trendy and others more traditional. I was on a mission to find my dress and Maria made Luxe the only place I had to go! Her connection with a reputable alterations place makes the process of getting the perfect fit a breeze!

    I cannot say enough wonderful things about Maria and the team at Luxe Bridal Rack. They have an amazing selection of beautiful gowns at great prices. This was the first my first shopping experience in the wedding dress hunt and they set the standards very high. I had a total of 4 appointments and ended up picking my dress from LBR. Maria and her team are experienced and make you feel very comfortable. One of my favorite things about Maria that stood out compared to other shops is her honest and warm personality. They are not just trying to sell you a gown, it is more of an emotional experience and they want you to LOVE what you are wearing. I am so happy I found my dress here!

    I had a wonderful experience shopping for my wedding dress at Luxe Bridal Rack with my mother. Maria, the owner, was so attentive! She went into great detail describing each dress - the style, design, types of fabric etc! I tried on 12 dresses and ended up finding the one!!! I would highly recommend Luxe Bridal Rack to anyone wanting a high-end experience even when you are on a budget.

    Wonderful!

    LBR is a beautiful space with a great selection of dresses. I had a fairly modest budget and my associate, Juliana, was SO helpful in picking the most beautiful dresses within that budget. I am so in love with my dress and very happy with my experience at LBR. I was allowed 4 guests, which can be tough when you have a large bridal party, but it worked out just fine. You are also not able to bring any drinks in, so just be mindful of that. Overall, it was the perfect way to say yes to my dress!

    First Dress is the Charm! (And so is Luxe Bridal Rack)

    Working with Maria was PERFECT! She listened to exactly what I wanted and based off the inspiration pictures I had she was able to find me the perfect dress. I honestly thought I was just going in to try on some dresses and get a feel for what I like...but I ended up saying yes to the dress! And it was the first one she pulled for me! I am in love with my dress and Luxe Bridal Rack. Thank you for helping make this process easy, fun, and how I always imagined!

    Great store!

    My engagement is less than 6 months so I needed to get a dress from somewhere off the rack. Luxe had an amazing shopping experience, their store is beautiful, and my sales gal was awesome and made me feel so comfortable. She truly listened to what I wanted and found it! I am from a few hours away so getting there can be difficult but they have been flexible with my fitting appointments. Only bad thing for me was when I was having a fitting done one of the other sales girls had some odd comments and rude facial expressions about the changes I am having done to my dress which I didn't appreciate. Other than her I had a great experience at Luxe and would recommend!!

    Hidden gem!

    If you don't know where to start, this place is it! Starting off the wedding dress shopping experience can be very overwhelming with so many options, styles, prices ranges, etc. and if you don't know what your are looking for it can be that much harder. That was my case...I was completely going in blind with no research and was really looking for someone to assist me in the process. That is exactly what Maria and her team did. From the second I stepped in, everyone was so welcoming and helpful. They literally let me try on more dresses than I should have ever even been allowed to. At some stores they will limit you, but here this is not the case. They will of course make recommendations, but will never tell you no. Being super indecisive made it harder for me to make my decision, but Maria and her team helped consult me on all variables of each dress. They also have such great eye for design so if you want their honest opinion on what looks best, they will be honest, which you can't get at most bridal boutiques. Their patience, honesty, and support throughout the process is something hard to find these days, so if you are looking for an all around great bridal boutique, this is your place!

    I had such a great experience working with Maria to say yes to the dress!! Coming from a not so wonderful first experience trying on dresses at another shop I can honestly say that I was anxious to try again. However Maria made it a positive exciting experience again. She listened to what I thought I wanted and gave her advice as well in a non-pushy manner which made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend anyone come looking for a one of kind experience and dress to come look for dresses at Luxe Bridal rack.

    I loved my experience here and after shopping for months at 6 other stores, this is where I found my dress. The sales staff were so knowledgeable and helpful without being at all pushy. They were extremely patient and made my experience a really comfortable, beautiful one. I would highly suggest it!

    Top bridal salon in Chicago!

    LBR dresses are 100x more beautiful than any other place I looked! I found my perfect dress there, but frankly it was hard to narrow down because I loved so many of them. They were patient during try on and during fittings. The dress arrived quick and alteration turnaround was speedy as well. The bustle was not fully hemmed which was the only issue I had but I should have checked that before I left. I recommend them 100% for your bridal gown needs. Prices range quite a bit so you should be able to find something in your budget. They also give 5% off if you buy the first time you try! Thanks LBR!

    Great selection and easy communication!

    Found my wedding gown at LBR Chicago. It was a breeze scheduling appointments and keeping in contact with them. They had a great selection and really listened to me when I told then what I was comfortable with for my body type. I also used them for my alterations and have zero complaints - great job!

    Started with high hopes ended stressed and disappointed.

    Started with the highest hopes and the best dress shopping experience ended feeling unseen, disrespected, and reduced to having to take extreme measures to beg for the dress to be ready in time for my wedding.

    Full background: I had a great experience picking and purchasing my dress with Dana. She was experienced and knew how to work with my body shape. After purchasing was where my troubles began. I had two options keep my dress and do in-house alterations or seek an external business. I thought inhouse while more expensive would better guarantee level of care and ownership for the final result and delivery. I was wrong.

    The owner forgot my first alterations appointment with the only comment “hmm I am usually better at this” and asked me to verify by showing the email confirmation. She asked me and my party to return 1.5 hours later as they only do alterations on Mondays. Here is where I would like to clarify my experience was tarnished by the owner, not the seamstress she was very fast I felt was competent and great at her job.

    My second appointment was supposed to be when the dress would be complete with all major changes in time for polishing and final pick up. I arrived late due to traffic but my sisters were already there and had to listen to them badmouth me about lacking respect when in truth at least I remember my commitments. The dress was far from ready and the panic set in to make the timing they promised a year in advance. With the dress for 4+ months delivered and in their care.

    The 3rd appointment happened in the time after many extraneous conversations and pushing to make it in time for me to travel on a date always documented. Apologies were exchanged but the relationship at that point was tarnished beyond repair. The owner Maria in my experience left me and my family disrespected, unseen, and undervalued. She said this was so much more than a business to her and I believe it's true, I think she's lost in the pursuit of growth the empathy that yes this is her everyday but for me, it's my once in-a-lifetime.

    Horrible Treatment


    I had a very negative experience at Luxe Bridal. I had a Sunday appointment and when my bridesmaids and I got to the store, we were tersely greeted – we were not given enough chairs to sit or offered water or beverages. The woman that was assigned to help me barely asked what I was looking for and did not offer any assistance in picking out dresses. She directed me to pick out my own dresses and let her know which ones I wanted to try on. While I was trying on dresses, the woman was pushy and unhelpful with the concerns I raised. I ended up falling in love with a dress that they told me was above my budget. However, they did not know what the exact price was. HOW does a store not know the price of a dress they are selling??? That evening, I took it upon myself to reach out to the designer on Instagram to find out the price of the dress. The next day, Luxe Bridal called and SCOLDED me for reaching out to the designer. I think the appropriate reaction would have been to apologize for not knowing the price of the dress to begin with. While I love the dress I found there, it is way out of my budget and I refuse to give this establishment my money. Beware!!

    Avoid - There are Other Great Options in Chicago

    I have been struggling with whether to write this updated review of my experience here. This was the second place I visited, and I went with my maid of honor and one of my bridesmaids. I wasn't planning on purchasing a dress on the day I went because I wanted to wait to go with my mom, who lives out of town.

    When I first got to LBR, I did not get a great vibe. Maria, the owner, started rattling off how they have a "unique concept in bridal" because of her awesome contacts, yadda yadda. Her and an associate sized up me, and told me I wouldn't fit in any of their off-the-rack samples they had for in-store purchase. Awesome feeling. So I would need to try on a sample and special order a gown. Fine. When I pointed out a few dresses I wanted to check out, I was told that I couldn't. Reasons given included that the dress was out of my budget, and/or it would never fit me. Again, thanks. I started to get the vibe that unless I was a street size 2 and willing to spend a fortune on a dress, I would not be catered to here. I had also just come from a place (Weddings 826) that was cute and friendly, and gave us free champagne for our fitting, so I was also a little bummed at the juxtaposition at LBR.

    They didn't have that much selection, but there was one dress I tried on that my friends that came with me really liked. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but I felt like the LBR staff pounced and upon reflection, I feel like they tried to manufacture one of those "this is the dress!" moments to close the sale. Never mind that I said multiple times I wanted to go with my mom, and this was only the second place I had checked out. I also mentioned to my stylist that I wanted more definition and for the dress to provide a snug "tucked in" fit, and that the dress did not exactly fit with my ultimate vision. She said oh it won't be a problem to get that all done with alterations. Still with champagne goggles from the first shop I went to, I ended up just saying yes after being caught up with everyone saying I should just go for it. I feel like the staff should have slowed down at the point, and remind me that I didn't have to make any final decisions on that day. It is worth noting that this is what my attendant at Weddings 826 did.

    I immediately felt like the dress wasn't right, and called the next day to try and set up an appointment. I spoke with Maria on the phone, and she didn't remember me (whatever). She kind of blew me off and said I could come in to look at the dress if I wanted to, but that all brides are "emotional" and that I should just chill. It felt like a lost cause at that point. The receipt said final sale and while I had hoped if I called the very next day I could stop the order, that was not in the cards.

    Fast forward to me getting an email two days ago that my dress arrived. Well actually, the impersonal email said "Congratulations, your dress and/or accessory has arrived." I did not appreciate the impersonal nature of the email. Again, while I didn't spend $10k on a dress, I did still spend a large amount of money, and they at the very least could have sent a personalized email.

    I was instructed that I needed to pick up the dress within two weeks. My mom is going to be in town in three weeks, so I was hoping the store could hold it until I could at least get my mom in with the tailor at the store to do the alterations. However, they told me they would not hold the dress an extra week. I at least consulted with their tailor, but just for standard alterations (raising the hem, adding a bustle) it would be $450. She was reluctant to quote any of the additional changes I wanted, and when I expressed how unhappy I was with the fit she just told me I should wear a corset. All of the changes that I was told would be "easy" to handle at the alteration stage were all of a sudden "too much". I basically had to hold back tears because my initial feeling back when I purchased the dress was right. And I had just spent so much money.

    Overall, just really disappointing experience. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I have a brand new, never worn dress I don't like and am out $$$. In my opinion, LBR was only interested in making a quick sale and getting me out of there. I would recommend skipping LBR. There are so many options in Chicago to find the perfect dress, why waste time somewhere that might pressure you into getting the wrong dress.

    Run Away from Luxe Bridal Rack As Fast As You Can



    We purchased a Yaniv Persy gown from Maria at Luxe Bridal Rack in December of 2019. Our experience at Luxe was lovely until we had made the purchasing decision. Once we made the decision to purchase the gown, Maria was rushing us out the door and would not answer any of our questions. The entire attitude changed once we made the decision. I called her the following Monday and reintroduced myself as the mother of the bride. She could not have been more unpleasant and it was as if I was bothering her. I had only called to make sure that she had the details for the changes we had made to the gown because they were not properly documented on the contract. Once we reviewed that, she assured me everything would be fine. The gown arrived about 8 months later. There were 3 different laces on the gown and the change that we had made to the bottom (and paid $1100 extra for) incorporated a completely different lace and not the lace we had asked for. Additionally, we had asked that the hem be finished in scalloped lace. It was not. When I called her, she said oh, ok, I can just send you some lace. She sent me yet a 3rd lace, none of which matched the gown and told me we could add it after we had the hem altered. My daughter is thin and fit and has actually lost weight since she was measured. The gown was too tight in the hips and has required substantial alterations. Additionally, the sleeves in the forearm were so tight that we had to have new sleeves made for the gown. The underwire in the bodice hit her across her nipples and had to be completely repositioned. We had called months ago and asked Maria to price the matching veil for us. After multiple attempts to get a response, I finally was able to reach her. She said, “I thought I told your daughter what the price of the veil was.” She had not spoken with nor made any attempt to reach my daughter. I honestly don’t know how she stays in business. Because of her rudeness, we chose not to have the gown altered by them. Fortunately, we have a wonderful bridal alterations business in Atlanta called TK Bridal. They are magicians and had altered my other daughter’s wedding gown. We feel very fortunate that they could remedy this unfortunate situation and I am sure that at the end of the day, the bride will be beautiful. I highly recommend that you do NOT shop with Luxe Bridal Rack and as lovely at Yaniv Persy’s designs are, his grading is suspect. Having owned a clothing company in the past, I understand fit and grading, lace and fabrics, and there were so many mistakes with this gown. The snaps that held the sleeves on were too small and would not snap along with many other issues. My daughter wears a size 4 off the rack easily, she is not hard to fit and this was a very trying and unfortunate experience for such a lovely, patient and beautiful bride. Lastly, Maria charged my American Express twice for the gown. It took several weeks to rectify the double billing. Her response to me was, “Oh, can you research that and send me the proof.” No apology from Maria but I finally did get the credit back on my card.

    Beware of luxe bridal rack! A terrible experience

    If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience at Luxe Bridal Rack was a nightmare. What should have been an exciting part of planning my wedding, the purchase and fitting of my dress, turned into a stressful and heartbreaking ordeal.

    Purchasing the dress initially seemed fine, but that changed when I was blindsided by a $1,500 charge for alterations. The staff only referred to it as Level 3, with no explanation of what that meant. I later learned it was their most expensive alteration package, yet I had not agreed to it or been informed about the cost upfront.

    My dress was a fitted mermaid gown with only two to three thin layers, not a complicated ballgown. The work required did not justify such an expensive fee. Promises regarding alterations, timelines, and fittings were broken repeatedly. When I raised concerns, I was met with excuses, defensiveness, and blame.

    During my first fitting, nothing was done to the dress. With two weeks until my wedding, the seamstress scheduled me for Thursday, one week before the wedding. I requested Monday instead, but Maria, the owner, texted me saying the seamstress had forgotten my dress. Despite my urgency, they refused to retrieve it, and the appointment was rescheduled back to Thursday, the day I had initially said I did not want.

    When I arrived that Thursday, the dress was still incorrect. The sleeves were too tight, the back hem remained pointed despite my request, the breast cups were positioned too high before being adjusted, and the dress was too long, causing me to trip. I asked for shortening, but the seamstress yelled at me, citing her thirty-five years of experience. I reminded her that this was my once-in-a-lifetime wedding and pleaded for the agreed alterations. I left in tears, convinced my dress would not be ready.

    I requested a call with Maria. She spent the entire conversation yelling, speaking over me, and accusing me of being stressed and not eating. When I asked for a refund of the $1,500, Maria insisted I could only receive it if I signed a disclosure promising not to post a review.

    When I returned to pick up my dress, the seamstress was cold and harsh, and the dress was still not correctly altered. I had no choice but to accept it as it was.

    What should have been one of the happiest moments of my wedding planning became a stressful and heartbreaking ordeal. Luxe Bridal Rack does not care about their customers, their satisfaction, or the quality of their work. If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from this shop.

    Horrible experince

    TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE ! I purchased my dress March 17th 2023 , and still have not received the dress (it is now Feb 17th 2024) not only have I not received the dress, I have been promised arrival dates multiple times with no follow through. Then when I have consistently reached out to get updates, the owner Maria does not respond until multiple attempts cause me a lot of anxiety.
    If I could give this store and owner Maria less than a 1 star, I would. She has also now threatened to sue for defamation after posting my experience on my social media . Stay away .

    Awful - please do not shop here

    Do not go here for your dress. It is not worth putting such an important part of your wedding in the hands of LBR. Maria (the owner) over promises and doesn’t deliver so please don’t trust her. I wish I read more reviews before ordering. My dress was a total disaster when Maria said there would be no problem with custom options (which I paid 3x the price for). I had to fly the seamstress to my wedding destination week of the wedding and the dress still looks awful - creases in the dress in my photos - so bad the photographer had to try to position my husbands hand to cover them up in pictures (see pictures below the chest). The seamstress even said “she warned Maria these Yaniv Persey dresses were bad many times before”. Yet Maria promised a custom option would be no issue. Run to another store and save yourself the time, money and disappointment on your wedding day.

    Nightmare Experience!

    I have been waiting to write a review for LBR, as I was hoping the store and its owner Maria would resolve the issues that they caused for me, or at least refund me for the ridiculous amount they charged me for alterations that did not even happen. However, after an extremely stressful week, I find myself feeling taken advantage of, dismissed and deceived. WARNING TO ALL: Save yourself from the stress and overcharges this “business” creates.

    I bought my reception dress from LBR in 3/2021 for my wedding in 9/2021. The sales woman who initially helped me seemed friendly and great, and I felt confident buying a dress from this store. However, that was the last time anyone was friendly to me there, and the last time I felt confident with the store.

    My dress arrived and I was scheduled for a fitting in 8/2021. I went in for my fitting, was literally rushed to the back of their store by a seamstress telling me to “hurry” because she had another appointment at the store next door. Mind you, I was EARLY for my own scheduled appt. She rushed me into the dress, didn’t even let me strap my shoes on and then pulled me onto the stand to begin alterations. I asked her continuously to make specific alterations and she waved her hand at me and said ‘yes yes I know what I’m doing’. My MOH was with me, and works in fashion herself, and pointed out several mistakes the seamstress was making but was completely ignored.

    Not even 5 minutes later, she told me to take off the dress because she had to leave. There was no air conditioning in the store and I was already feeling shaky, and the last thing I needed was to be pushed into a tiny dressing room. I changed and came out and was told alterations would be nearly a thousand dollars. I was shocked, and questioned this but she became loud with me and stated she knew what she was doing and this is what the price would be. I didn’t question this again – because, I mean, she’s the professional right? So I paid and I scheduled my next fitting to be for the first week of September.

    A week before my fitting, I received a call from Maria. She told me that her staff quit and I would not be able to pick my dress up from the store, or even go to the store for a fitting. She said my options were to drive to the seamstress’s house (which is nearly an hour and a half away from where I live… whereas the store was only ten minutes), she would credit my “gas expense” for the drive; or she would “uber” my dress to me…. I'm sorry, WHAT?! After thousands and thousands of dollars spent, I was essentially being told ‘tough luck, there’s nothing more we can do for you’.

    I eventually was able to have the seamstress take my dress to the store next door because that is where I bought my ceremony dress. I was guaranteed by Maria that the specific design/cut of my dress was “easy to alter” and there would be no issues when I received it. Well, other than the train being shortened, IT WAS HORRENDOUS. There were piles of extra fabric at the sides, which made it seem like the seamstress had just clumped a bunch of fabric together to “alter” it. I ended up having to pay this other store for their alterations team to fix this mess of a dress.

    So here I am, two weeks before my wedding, having spent not just thousands on a dress, but an additional thousand on alterations that didn’t even happen, and apparently can not happen because the store no longer exists. Maria refused to refund me for the alterations I had paid for, and does not even seem to care about the unnecessary yet enormous amount of stress she has placed on me, and I can imagine dozen of other brides who they have closed their doors on, literally, with little to no compassion or empathy.

    Pathetic service - RUINED my wedding dress

    Awful experience with Luxe. I got a dress 5 months before my wedding and was having some pretty significant changes made to it, strapless to long sleeves and removing the train (they told me nothing their couture seamstress couldn’t handle, it would be fine) I paid a hefty $8,000 between dress $6,000 + alterations $2,000. I went back several times for fittings and had to request that my dress be done 2 weeks before my wedding because I’m from 2 hours away from Chicago, they argued and wanted me to come a week before. I drove up on the agreed upon date to pickup my dress and proceeded to wait almost 3 hours while they rushed to do the alterations and ended up ruining my dress - crooked hemline, elbow length sleeves when I asked for wrist length and also attached wrong. The seamstress didn’t want me to try on my dress or look at it before I left which gave me a bad vibe so I pulled it from the bag and put it on to find all of the awful errors. I was baffled at the awful service considering they had 5 months and $8,000 which seems like plenty of time and plenty of money. I ended up having to scramble and find a new dress 2 weeks before my wedding. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS STORE!! ABSOLUTE GARBAGE SERVICE. If I could give them lower than 1 star I would. And it’s a shame because they had beautiful gowns but that doesn’t matter with their service being so bad.
