Lovie’s made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day!
I cannot recommend Lovies Salon more for your wedding hair needs. Alicia created the exact hairstyle that I dreamed of for my wedding. She was so easy to get along with and was so helpful from booking to my hair and makeup trial. Booking your hair and makeup for your wedding should not be overlooked since you spend most of your morning of your wedding day with them, and booking Alicia was the best choice! I am so thankful that I was connected with her and I felt so beautiful on my wedding day. All of my bridesmaids and moms were so happy with their hair too. If you want the best energy and best hair for your wedding day, book Alicia! -

By the time our hair and makeup was done on wedding day, both myself and my bridesmaids wanted to be Alicia and Kelly’s best friends. They are the definition of cool, calm, and collected. Effortlessly prepared and invested in every step of the process, they made us feel so special throughout the wedding planning process. I loved their commitment to maintaining our natural style. They started the styling process by asking: How do you usually wear your hair? What do you do for makeup? How would you describe your style? It removed the pressure to find a photograph that perfectly encapsulated what I wanted, and instead gave me the freedom to create a look that reflected who I really am. I felt like myself on my wedding day, which is what I wanted, but more elevated. Alicia and Kelly – thank you for going above and beyond to make us feel so beautiful! We LOVED working with you! -

Kelly and Jen did such an amazing job with our wedding hair and makeup!! We had 7 ladies for hair and 7 for makeup. They were super flexible with moving people around on the schedule to make sure we were all got done in time and never felt stressed. It was a bit windy on my wedding day but the hair and makeup held up through it all...even through all the dancing/bouncing at the reception :) Kelly does an awesome job of making sure you are comfortable with your makeup. I never wear makeup regularly so I wanted to look glam...but still look like myself...and she nailed it! I also had some modifications I wanted after my initial hair trial and Jen listened and helped bring my vision to life. Thank you both so much -

Kelly and Alicia are absolutely amazing! Not only did they delivery stunning hair and makeup, they fit in seamlessly with our group and made us feel super comfortable, allowing us to have a great time while we got ready. I had five VERY different bridesmaids that chose their own dresses, makeup and hair, which sounds chaotic, but Kelly and Alicia made us look cohesive. My bridesmaids and I agreed, my wedding was the only event any of us had been to with a professional hair and makeup team that no one edited or redid their hair and/or makeup after it was done which is completely unheard of! We all loved the way we looked and felt super confident because they took the time to consult with each of us to determine how we normally did our hair and makeup and elevated it. I felt absolutely stunning on my wedding day and love how I look in my photographs! I can also attest to the quality of the hair and makeup as my wedding day was 40-50 degrees and pouring down rain with 50 MPH winds. When the entire wedding had to be moved inside, my husband and I decided to go out into the turbulent ocean to take photographs and when I warned Kelly and Alicia of our plan, they were up for the challenge and made sure my look would weather the storm! My husband and I laid down on the sand and let multiple waves completely engulf us (go big or go home) and our clothes were a sandy wet mess. After changing into another outfit, we went right back to the party; I didn’t have to touch up my hair or makeup. When you look at the photos, you can’t tell which were taking before or after our ocean jaunt. I would highly recommend Lovies, especially their on location services, and will use them again when we renew our vows in the future on a beautiful, sunny day in the Outer Banks. -

Alicia and Kelly are without a doubt the most amazing people! Not only so talented at their jobs but just make you feel so comfortable because they are just such sweet girls. I had a trial with both a month before the wedding and was so glad i went with Lovies after meeting them. Alicia did so great on everyones hair and came up with the perfect styles for everyone from Mothers to the flower girl. Kelly did make up on my Mom and I and it looked stunning and so natural for two people who don't typically wear a lot of make up! If you are having an OBX wedding, i highly recommend booking with Lovies right now! you will not regret it. -

Kelly and Alicia at Lovie's are amazing! I am the mom of the groom: the bride and groom live in Ohio. Kelly handled makeup for the bride, maid of honor, and both mom's. She customized the makeup for each of us using great products. Alicia handled hair for each of us. Both were so personable and made each of us feel very comfortable. You can't to wrong with Kelly and Alicia! -

Lovies was amazing!!! I would highly recommend them to any brides on getting married on the Outer Banks. Kelly was so sweet. We changed our wedding day because of Hurricane Michael. She was already booked for the following day but reworked her schedule to make time to give me a make-up tutorial. She even provided some products since I came to the beach with limited make-up. Alicia styled my hair the day prior. The next morning and for the next two days my blowout looked amazing. It was exactly what I was thinking for my wedding day. I have no idea how she did it but the style lasted! I really appreciated how caring and willing to listen to my visions they both were. As a meeting planner, I work with a lot of vendors and the Lovie’s team was one of the most professional. Thank you Kelly & Alicia!!! When you pick Lovie’s – you won’t regret it! -
Katie Sent on 05/29/2018I planned my Outer Banks wedding at the Mark Twain House from our home in Connecticut. I researched MANY hair & makeup teams before going with Lovie’s. Right from the start Kelly was wonderful, but I was completely blown away by the service we received on the morning of our wedding. I actually ended up pulling my neck out before heading to the salon & could hardly move. When we arrived we were greeted & they immediately asked how they could help. Turns out Kelly’s mom is a massage therapist & she was able to work on me while I waited. This salon & team is more than top notch. They went about & beyond for us. Our hair & makeup was the best we have ever had & I’ve been in many weddings. Without a doubt if you are getting married in the OBX go with Lovie’s. Thank you again for making your salon so incredibly welcoming to us.

All of the products she used smelled amazing, the wash was crazy relaxing, and the style lasted all through the evening without my hair feeling like it was full of product. The salon itself is so charming and I highly recommend it! -
Katie Sent on 01/11/2018Picking Lovies was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Kelly and Alicia did a phenomenal job with the services they provided and were super professional and flexible. It was so easy to schedule makeup and hair for myself, my bridal party, and the mothers.
I had my trial for makeup and hair done the week of the wedding and I felt like I didn't have to put any effort into explaining what I wanted. They both did a great job in playing up my features and providing exactly what I had had in mind for my wedding day. After seeing my trial, several bridesmaids wanted to add on services to what was originally requested because they loved it so much - and fortunately Alicia and Kelly were more than accommodating - and fast!
On the day of my wedding, we were able to go to the salon for the whole day. They allowed us to bring in food and drinks and relax in their adorably charming salon while everyone got ready. By the time our ride had to pick us up, they were helping everyone get out the door. I really appreciated how thoughtful they both were and how much they listened to the wants of everyone! I'm SO happy that they were a part of my special day!! I HIGHLY recommend these talented women!!!!! THANK YOU! -
