Perfect experience
Lovely Bride not only provided the dress of my dreams but also an amazing experience. Another store made rude comments to me so I was apprehensive to continue wedding dress shopping. Lovely Bride gave me a wonderful and FUN experience. I loved getting my dream dress from this location. -

Lovely bride has a selection of absolutely stunning dresses. My consultant let me pick a few out and based on those made a suggestion when I wasn’t really feeling any of the ones I had picked out. I ended up crying over how much I loved the one she picked out for me and bought it! -

I LOVED my experience here. I found the most amazing gown and couldn’t have had a more fun time. My friend and I came here to find my dress during the pandemic and lovely bride went out of their way to make it a memorable experience. Thanks, Lovely Bride! Lovely Bride is unlike the “traditional” bridal boutiques in that you are able to see, for the most part, the inventory online for your specific store location, before booking and going in! This was crucial for me since I had been to 5 boutiques prior to making it to Lovely Bride and regret not trying them first! The service was amazing from the start, I made a list of 5 I wanted to try online when I booked the appointment, then the sales associate was able to bring me additional options and I finally found the one! Their dresses are also clean, smell nice, and are in good condition—which is NOT a given at all other boutiques. The dresses at Nordstrom bridal were a disaster, covered in makeup, smelled like BO, etc...Lovely Bride was brand new compared to that! It is stressful waiting for the email and call that your dress is in, but you just have to breathe and trust the process—they will call! They suggested a couple tailors, I didn’t go with those options as they were significantly more expensive, but do be aware they do not tailor for you at the store. I didn’t have any issue with this, but some brides do and want an all-in-one situation. They also offer accessories like hair combs, veils, jewelry, but this is no conveyed so much online, but your boutique should have ample options. I also found the booking process super easy—online, don’t have to email back and forth or call anyone—and I was able to make an appointment for 2 days out! Would recommend this to any bride who wants to know what she will be seeing before hiking out to the store! -

Words can’t express how great my entire experience was with lovely bride DC! From the gorgeous decor to the personalized customer service, this boutique is a bride’s dream dress stop. I ended up purchasing my dream dress from them & couldn’t have imagined anything else. I have already had two other friends schedule appointments there. They are a must! Xx -

My search for my dress was long and arduous. I went to tons of boutiques and tried on over 20 dresses. Lovely Bride was a unique and pressure-less experience and I wish I had started with them. Unlike the other places I went, nobody tried to get me to wear a dress I wasn’t interested in. Further, their website has all of their dresses and prices; there’s no hiding the ball. I went on their website, found the one dress I wanted to try on, tried it on, and purchased it about a month later. And it is PERFECT. I felt like I stepped out of a bridal magazine or Vogue. It was also exactly what I was looking for but couldn’t find anywhere else. I love Lovely Bride. -

I loved my dress from lovely bride. The experience was well managed and they have a unique selection that you won’t find from the more traditional bridal shop designers. In particular, I found many dresses here better suited for petite frames, more trendy, and yet still timeless. I went to about 5-6 shops in the DMV and this was my fave. -

I found my dress here! They have a lovely, quiet shop and I felt very relaxed trying on dresses. I wasn't really expecting to find my dress here since they seem to market to "boho" brides which I didn't think fit what I was looking for, but nevermind that! I love love love my dress and found the process of ordering with them to be very simple and straightforward. Keep in mind they don't do alterations but do provide recommendations for that. -

It Does Not Get Better Than Lovely Bride
I had the perfect experience at Lovely. I had been to 3 stores my first day of shopping and started the second day at Lovely. Not only is the store beautiful, but their staff are extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. The first dress I tried on ended up being the one, but my consultant was super helpful when I wanted to keep trying on other things to be sure. The selection is beautiful - lots of unique styles that felt both bridal and modern. Picking up the dress was easy as well and they were flexible to fit me in when my mom and sister were in town. I rave about Lovely to everyone - if you can, make it your first stop! -

After trying on dresses at two other salons, I had the most wonderful experience at Lovely Bride with Tabby. She took the time to get to know me and what I was envisioning. She found THE perfect dress for me, but did not pressure me to buy it at that first appointment. I came back for a second appointment about a month later, and I was so happy that Tabby was there to help me solidify and buy my perfect dress. Thank you, Lovely Bride and Tabby! -

I don’t even know where to begin. Best day of my life. My stylist clearly reviewed the in-depth profile I filled our prior to the appointment because she pulled three gorgeous dresses from the designer I’m obsessed with, one of them was even one I’d pinned on Pinterest before. She was so knowledgeable and helpful, she knew exactly what look I was going for but pulled a few “wild cards” just to make me try some different styles. I fell absolutely in love with the first dress I had tried on (the one she pulled and the one from my Pinterest board) and even though it was just slightly over budget, they were willing to work with me when it came to accessories. I’m so happy and seriously counting down the minutes to the day I can wear my dress again! -

Ashley Sent on 09/17/2018Lovely Bride DC is an amazing shop that makes you feel so welcomed when you first walk in. Danielle is the best - she was amazing to have on my initial try on day and throughout the whole process. My dress was my favorite part of my wedding (besides the groom). Lovely Bride worked with me being and out of town bride by holding my dress until I was back visiting. Danielle also worked with my last minute to buy and ship a headpiece. She even contacted me the week of to make sure it arrived on time. Loved Lovely Bride, loved Danielle, and loved my Limor Rosen dress.

I have been to one other Lovely Bride location and the service at Lovely Philly was absolutely impeccable compared to any other bridal shop I have been to. Julie, who helped me, knew exactly what I was looking for. She didn't overwhelm me with tons of dresses that she knew I wouldn't like, but still had me with her looking at dresses. She was so professional and I appreciated her pulling me away from everyone else to ask me what my budget was. She was absolutely wonderful!!! I highly recommend Lovely Philly! -

Erin Sent on 12/11/2015I loved all the girls that helped me at Lovely Bride! They did an amazing job and were so incredibly nice - it was my favorite place to try on dresses by far. I went for a trunk show and they were able to order in a dress that might have not otherwise been there for me to try on. I did select the dress they brought in and they even worked with Anne Barge to create a custom veil to match the dress. I highly recommend Lovely Bride in Georgetown to anyone! -

They had a wide range of styles and prices while still maintaining the atmosphere of a boutique so you did not feel overwhelmed with choices. The first appointment that I had, I found my dress but wanted to sleep on it. There was no pressure to purchase right away and they were more than accommodating the second time I visited to purchase my dress. I would recommend this shop to anyone. -

Gillian Sent on 04/29/2017Made an appointment at the Lovely Bride in Georgetown as they had the designer I had been eyeing. Claire was helping me and my mother that day, and she was a delight. She allowed me to pick out dresses that "caught my eye", try them on, and then helped me to find ones that matched the ones that I had liked on. I was fairly certain that I knew which dress I wanted at the end of our appointment, but they did not rush us. Instead told us to take some time to think it over. (Claire recommended a delightful French bistro around the corner, where my mother and I sat, and in turn, where I decided I was head over heels with the dress I choose.
The only things is that because they have multiple locations, if you email then versus call, it takes a bit longer (maybe a day or so) to get to your location and to get a response. But once you do have a response, you have the stores direct email, so you can use that from then on! -

Amanda Sent on 05/12/2017Lovely Bride is one of the most beautiful bridal salons I've ever seen! All of the dresses are modern and fashionable, no boring super traditional dresses here! As a woman who is between straight and plus sizes, I had difficulty wedding dress shopping because many samples were not able to fit me, yet many plus size styles were not suitable for my body type or personal style. My appointment at Lovely was the first time I was able to actually put on every sample I picked out! Of course not all fit perfectly, but I could get them on! haha! My consultant was very sweet and really listened to what I wanted, instead of just pulling things that might fit, which meant the world to me. I picked my amazing Hailey Paige dress from there and felt so beautiful!! -

I said yes to the dress in March 2025, it’s APRIL 2026. And I have no dress to show for it 6 weeks out from my wedding - all thanks to Lovely Bride DC.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I will preface my long review with; DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR DRESS AT LOVELY BRIDE DC.
I “said yes” to the dress in March 2025. My experience in-store was uncomfortable from the start—the stylist was rude and dismissive until it was clear we were serious about buying. That should’ve been my sign to leave.
I was told my dress would be ready for pickup in December 2025. In March 2026 they scheduled TWO appointments for me to pick up my dress, just to cancel on me the MORNING OF. It is now April 2026 and I still do not have my dress nor can they tell me where it is. I get married in June 2026. When I requested a full refund to be able to search for a new dress, Danielle, the store owner, went radio silent.
Communication throughout was consistently poor and reactive. I had to repeatedly follow up just to get basic updates, and timelines were vague, shifting, and never met. As my wedding approaches, the lack of transparency has been incredibly stressful.
Ultimately, Lovely Bride DC dragged me along, never having an idea where my dress was or when it would arrive (13 months after purchasing!!)
To say this is completely unacceptable is an understatement. No bride should ever have to experience this type of customer service especially coming from a BRIDAL BOUTIQUE. I get married in 6 weeks and have NO dress and they are taking zero accountability for the position they have put me in as I prepare for one of the biggest days of my life.
As I said, I beg you. Do not go here and do not purchase such an important piece of your wedding day from Lovely Bride DC. -
