Incredible Look!

My wife writes the following for our November 2019 wedding: A friend recommended that I contact Amanda to do my hair and make-up for my wedding. She ended up being the only person who I did a trial with, because she listened to exactly what it was that I was interested in, and as a person with lots of very curly hair, that was important. I also don’t tend to wear a lot of make-up and was concerned that I wouldn’t look like me if I wore too much. The end results were exactly what I hoped for- according to a friend, me but ‘more.’ My hair and make-up looked great all night and in the photos, and it was all thanks to Amanda. She was also very responsive over email, and a lovely person!

More than I could have ever expected :)

I got married last October 2018 and just wanted to say that Amanda and her assistant were amazing. I was a nervous wreck and did not know what I wanted and they were able to articulate how I was feeling and what I was thinking about into hair and makeup. Her personality is very warm and happy. She makes you feel totally comfortable something you definitely want on the morning of your wedding day. Amanda and her assistant also applied lashes, and did my daughter,s hair and makeup as well. Which also looked amazing. I definitely recommend Amanda. Everything was gorgeous, matter of fact I don't think I ever looked as beautiful or felt as beautiful in my life.

Amanda did a wonderful on my hair and makeup for my wedding in May. She was always responsive, professional, and a lovely person to work with. She did a great job with my hair and makeup, and I would highly recommend her to others.

Amanda is an exceptional hair and makeup artist. Prior to booking Love Your Face, I had two less successful makeup trials. When I showed up to my engagement photos after a previous trial, my photographer took one look at my over-contoured face and said, “You need to hire Amanda.” She was so right. I booked my trial and was absolutely thrilled. She got exactly the look I was going for: beautiful glowy skin, long lashes and rosy lips. On my wedding day, we tweaked the look a bit, making the eyes a little more dramatic. I have never looked or felt more beautiful. She also did my sister’s (MOH) hair and makeup, and hair for two bridesmaids. They all looked gorgeous. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Amanda did the makeup for my wedding in April for both me and my mom. It was beautiful! I did a trial with another makeup artist before finding Love Your Face and wasn't very pleased. But my trial with Amanda was amazing! She took her time and was so detailed. The day of the wedding, Amanda was in the center of wedding chaos and helped everyone stay calm. She was truly the best!

After using Amanda for my trial, I instantly realized her talent. She asked me how I wanted my hair and makeup for my wedding, and I was blown away by the results! My wedding day hair and makeup was even more beautiful. Amanda is extremely knowledgable and has a gigantic selection of products for all skin types and tones. She listens closely for your concerns and must-haves and makes sure that your satisfied. Beyond the hair and makeup, Amanda is so sweet and easy to talk to. Compared to other makeup artists I've used in the past, Amanda is a class above. If you're looking for a true professional, Amanda is your girl!

Amanda is the BEST!! I've been using her for years as a headshot makeup artist and I was finally able to use her at my wedding! She made me feel more beautiful than I've ever felt. I really did feel like myself on my best day. I was so worried about sweating through my makeup or crying it all off..plus it was a super rainy day, but not a lash was out of place after some pretty late night dancing. I can't say enough great things! She made me feel at ease the whole morning, it was a wonderful experience!

Amanda was fantastic! She got all of us done by our deadline and everyone was happy with her and her work. I loved my make-up and my hair! She is also a calming presence which we needed the day of the wedding.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Amanda. She did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life. She was so easy to talk to, really knowledgeable about the products she's using and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. I left looking better than the pictures of models in magazines I was using for reference. She is amazing and I will absolutely use her services again for any event I need a MUA. Honestly, words can't even explain how happy I was with the finished product!

Hiring Amanda was quite possibly the best vendor decision I made for my wedding! She was always patient and quick to respond to my numerous questions during and after the booking process.

She and her team provided hair and makeup services for me, 5 bridesmaids, and my mother. Everyone looked amazing! More importantly, she really put me at ease while I was getting ready. She made the process fun and I will always remember that about my day. I would recommend Love Your Face Beauty without hesitation. I hope I have the chance to work with her again!

Amanda is an exceptional artist and a great person to work with. She did my hair and make-up for my wedding and I can't even begin to explain how amazing it made me look and feel. We had a trial 10 days before the wedding and she was able to accommodate my request to transition from a day to a night look (without her assistance)! Her leave behind kit included a lip color and eye-liner to add glamour to my sophisticated day look. She was also able to create a unique hairstyle marrying two looks that I absolutely adored and the end result was fantastic.

Amanda also did the make-up for my mom, mom-in-law and sister and all three looks were totally different and equally amazing! Thank you Amanda for being part of my special day!!

AMAZING!! My biggest concern for hair and makeup for the "big day" was feeling beautiful while still looking like me. Amanda accomplished just that! I did a makeup trial with her first that I loved so I booked right away. She was so easy to work with, down to earth, flexible, and knowledgeable. I never have my hair and makeup done but she made me feel so comfortable. I didn't even do a hair trial and she nailed it on my wedding day! She also managed to squeeze in time to apply lashes for my mom and still had me done on time. I felt incredible for my wedding and Amanda played a large role in that. I HIGHLY recommend Love Your Face Beauty and will find a reason to work with Amanda again :)

Amanda did my hair and makeup for my recent wedding and I could not have been more thrilled that she was part of my day. She is a sweet, lovely and fun person to be around, as well as a true professional and expert at what she does. Amanda created exactly the hair look I wanted, spending extra time during my trial to make sure it looked perfect, and it held up wonderfully the entire day of my wedding! She also created a gorgeous makeup look for me. I really wasn't sure what I wanted in terms of makeup, but I was so happy with how it turned out - not easy since I barely gave her any direction! Amanda also brought 2 other stylists to help my bridal party get ready the morning of, making sure that we ran on time and everyone was taken care of. Not only was everyone thrilled with how their hair and makeup turned out, but Amanda and her team truly fit in with us and made our morning even more fun! I am sure that you cannot get better service anywhere in NY, not to mention at a great value. I highly highly recommend Amanda and hope to have the opportunity to work with her again in the near future!

Amanda is amazing. I had her do my hair and make-up for my wedding this past Saturday. I woke up the day after and my lashes and hair were still perfect! She was on time, highly professional and fun to hang out with. My family accidentally took my bridal undergarments to my wedding venue before I had gotten dressed, and I had a minor meltdown while things were being figured out. Amanda kept me calm, touched up my make-up and offered to run to her apartment and lend me a bra -- That's truly above and beyond :-) She also got my 6-year old tomboy niece to sit still long enough for a full head of curls. Very impressive!

Amanda is wonderful! She is professional, knowledgeable, and highly skilled. She did my hair and make up for my wedding in January. She was very accommodating from start to finish. I booked her last minute and she worked with me despite my timing complications. The experience was great. She is very talented and experienced. You can tell that this is all second nature to her. With just a simple look at my face, she went to work and did her magic. Nothing was fussy or over-thought. She did everything with confidence. I trusted her and it paid off, because I had nothing to worry about, I was in excellent hands with Amanda. I wanted a classic, natural look and to enhance my features. Beyond this, I had little direction for makeup for her honestly, I had a really hard time articulating what I pictured, but she knew exactly what would look best. I just sat back and enjoyed the experience! She was efficient and quick. Hair looked fantastic as well! i got a side bun inspired by Charlize Theron, it was gorgeous. Definitely would recommend Amanda again to anyone who wants to look fabulous for the day! She is a gem!

I loved working with Amanda! She was so sweet and attentive! I had a very low-key wedding so I only had my makeup done. Let me tell you, she did a fabulous job! A few weeks before my wedding, she was able to meet up with me to do a test makeup session, but it was also my bachelorette party that evening so she went out of her way to make sure we tested how it would look at the wedding, but also to spice up my look a bit for the night out. Then on my wedding day, she was super professional, showed up right on time and did an amazing job. Highly recommended!!

I had gone for a trial with a different hair and make-up person. I rarely wear make-up, and I was a little uncomfortable in what she applied, but I chalked this up to just not being used to wearing it so decided to hire her. But when I tried to book her something else had come and she wasn't going to be available. She referred me to Amanda and I didn't realize at the time what a good stroke of luck that was for me. A few days before the wedding, I had to let Amanda know that I was mistaken on our event time, and she would need to come later and would have an hour less to get everyone ready. She responded immediately that it was no problem. Amanda had a lot of suggestions at the hair trial I had done with her, and I was so happy with the end results on the day of. She even managed to do an amazing job on my maid of honor (who showed up looking green from a hangover) and make our flower girl feel like a princess. I didn't feel overly made up, I really just felt beautiful and most importantly comfortable and I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup throughout the evening. Amanda's whole approach was so professional, and her calm demeanor was such a welcomed presence in a mess of a bridal room. If you're fortunate enough that she's available on your date, I would recommend you book her asap. She definitely worked some magic for us!

First of all I live in Los Angeles but planned my wedding in Brooklyn for labor day weekend. Amanda was a joy to work with from the very first email. She was quick to respond, a great communicator and you could just tell she was excited about what she does. We wouldn't be able to make time for a trial run before the wedding so naturally I was a little nervous about that. She put me at ease as soon as she walked in the door. I had never before met her but it felt like a friend was doing my hair and makeup. She worked with my skin and light sensitivity, flawlessly airbrushed my makeup and put my hair up exactly how I wanted. All without a trial run! I can't recommend Amanda & Love Your Face Beauty enough. She is affordable, sweet and so professional. She really helped make my day so perfect and I will be singing her praises for a very long time!

Amanda and Jenna met me and my bridesmaids at the hotel where we were getting ready for my big day. They worked with me to make a schedule for the day, were on time, and completed mine and all of my girls' hair and makeup in time for pictures... not to mention we looked FABULOUS! Both Amanda and Jenna were great at what they do and easy to work with- Jenna looked at all of our reference photos to give us all the hairstyles we wanted and showed her versatility. Amanda was great at talking to each of us and finding out how we wanted to look- working especially hard to make my look as natural as possible, since my husband is a little anti-makeup... but he loved it! And so did I ;) Thank you Amanda & Jenna! You are highly recommended!

It was an absolute pleasure having Amanda in my bridal suite with me and my girls as we got ready for my wedding. Sweet, funny, charming, and a makeup magician, she was the perfect addition to our crew! I had a trial with Amanda, and she did my hair and makeup for my engagement photos as well, so I knew how good her work was. The airbrush makeup stayed flawless through many, many tears and I got another day out of my gorgeous individual lashes, too! My mom and mother-in-law were particularly impressed with how natural their looks were.

A punctual, considerate, and highly professional hair and makeup artist, I would be delighted to recommend Amanda to anyone.

I was referred to Amanda after the stylist I originally planned on booking was already booked for my wedding. I had my wedding Memorial Day weekend and my husband and I went to City Hall that Friday and had our reception the next day. Amanda did just makeup for City Hall and did my hair and makeup for the reception and did an amazing job both days. I knew from the trial that she would be easy to work with because she listened to everything I had to say and took notes of what I wanted for the actual day. She is very friendly and personable and puts you at ease during the whole process. My makeup for City Hall looked flawless and my hair and makeup for the reception was just as great. I received tons of compliments from friends and family about how great my hair and makeup looked throughout the night. She also did my mom's makeup for the reception, and considering my mom never wears makeup and was skeptical about getting anything, Amanda made my mom look natural with just enough makeup to look good in pictures, and my mom was definitely happy with it. I have absolutely no doubt that I'll be referring Amanda to anyone who needs their hair and/or makeup done for any occasion.

I hired Amanda to do my hair and makeup for my wedding, as well as my bridesmaid and hair for our flowergirl. Amanda is extrememly talented, and I just could not be happier with her work. Before meeting Amanda, we had excellent communication via email, and I shared my ideas via Pintrest with her. She was receptive and had great ideas, and she respected that I only wanted hypoallergenic makeup.

She arrived at my apartment exactly on-time, and got started on the flowergirl right away. She was professional, friendly and had a very calming way about her. She put us all at ease. We did not feel rushed even though we were under very strict time constraints. She did a fantastic job with our flowergirl being sure she looked age appropiate, and got to work on my bridesmaid. She worked with her on her ideas, and gave her a very beautiful, natural, flowing look. Amanda then drove down to the wedding venue to work on my hair and makeup, and she was there before I was, with all her tools laid out. The friendly conversation put me at ease, and she gave me a beautiful hairstyle based on ideas I had on Pintrest. She then applied the hypoallergenic makeup and checked to make sure every step of the way that I was happy with it. She even left me with a little lipstick for the rest of the night.

My hairstyle help up perfectly all night, as did my makeup. Not a hair was out of place even though I was dancing all night long. The makeup was so natural, it hardly looked like I was wearing any. My skin even felt soft and moisturized through the next day.

I highly recommend Amanda - her prices are very on point, and her services were worth every penny.

Amanda is SO talented! Let me say that I consider myself (as do my friends) to be very skilled at makeup and hair which made me very picky when looking for H&M services. I met amanda when I was in a NYC wedding and was so impressed with her skills! When I was looking for a hair and makeup person for my own wedding, I instantly thought of Amanda! I live in South Jersey and she was more than willing to make the commute to do it! Amanda's prices are average to high, but after having trials with other stylists, I saw the value in hiring her. She is easy to work with and TRANSFORMS people all while keeping it natural, never heavy, looking.

I felt so beautiful that day- her makeup is application FLAWLESS and is so natural looking! Myself and all the maids looked fantastic. I told her I wanted a ponytail and she excecuted it perfectly! (I am told it is the most difficult style to do). Up until the wedding we discussed different styles for the pony, low/high, straight back/parted on the side... Amanda practiced a few different styles on a friend and sent me pictures to help me decide! She went ABOVE and BEYOND what I expected! We partied until 5:30AM on our wedding night and I looked fabulous every minute and my hair never moved!

I had Amanda do my makeup for me, my mother, and several of my bridesmaids for my November wedding. I wanted to look like a slightly better version of me - still natural but a little more glamorous than normal!! Amanda did that perfectly. She did an amazing job on all of us!! She met with me before hand to make sure I was comfortable with her and test out several different styles. I knew sure going into the big day that my makeup would be flawless!!! She was so much fun to work with!!! My makeup on the day of the wedding came out better than expected!! At the end of the night after hours of pictures, eating, drinking, crying, laucghing, and dancing it still looked as good as it did before the ceremony!! I'd never had airbrush makeup done before but I loved it. It was such a smooth and flawless finish - it doesn't even look like makeup! I highly recommend Amanda! She's worth every penny and more!!

When I was planning my wedding, I was very concerned about finding a makeup artist that was going to keep my makeup and hair simple and clean. My husband hates when I wear make-up and wanted me to look natural. I simply wanted to feel beautiful and confident. Amanda was able to keep my makeup and hair very natural, but added little touches like false eyelashes, glossy lips, and airbrushing to make me feel extra special. She was professional and attentive. It was a very hot August day, and my makeup looked flawless the entire time (even after some tears during the ceremony). She also did makeup and hair for my mother and bridesmaids and made everyone feel just as special as I did. Even though the day was chaotic, never once did anyone feel like she was rushing, and everyone looked beautiful! I would recommend Amanda to anyone! She does an outstanding job and is very knowledgeable.

Hire her! Amanda has a great personality, and is a very welcome calm presence on your big day. She and her team were prompt, communicative, and fun to be around on. All my bridesmaids, as well as my mother utilized her team, and everyone looked gorgeous! We made some changes after my trial, and Amanda rolled with them and was super open to ideas and changes. She makes you feel very comfortable and calm, even when your nerves are starting to get the best of you! She was very prompt in communicating with me, and I felt like a bazillion dollars on the day of my wedding. Like the very best version of me. It was more than I had originally planned to spend (welcome to NYC!) but well worth the price. Hire her!!!

Amanda did wedding hair and make-up for me and my mom at our home, and did an amazing job. She incorproated my requests following the initial trial, and both the hair and make-up looked beautiful and received a lot of compliments. She was very professional, responsive, and on time. Great vendor!

Amanda and her team did my and my family's hair and makeup on my wedding day, and we all looked and felt so beautiful. At my trial with Amanda she really listened to what I wanted (not to feel like my face was caked with makeup, loose hair with big, bouncy curls) and completely delivered. On my wedding day each family member had really different ideas and tastes, and she was able to accommodate them all. Plus, she's really fun to hang out with, so makeup will feel like hanging out with an old friend!

I was very happy with Amanda - she did makeup for myself, my mother & my maid of honor. She was professional, easy to work with, and lovely to be around. And most importantly, I think all of us looked great! I would definitely recommend her to anybody looking for a makeup artist.
