We would like to express our gratitude for Cathy. She worked with us to create the ceremony our dreams and was the best officiant a couple could ask for. She knows the ins and outs of all things marriage for the DMV. After our ceremony, all of our friends and family continued to remark how amazing Cathy was. By Cathy’s deliverance and connections with her clients, you can tell the amount of love she puts in to being an officiant.

Cathy is a dream to work with!
Cathy was lovely to work with! She really helped us craft our ceremony and suggested personal touches that made it unique. When we wanted to include a unity sand ceremony and really didn't know how to work it in, Cathy provided helpful templates for us to work from. She has a very calming presence, is incredibly personable yet professional, and supported our day-of-coordinator in making sure everything was perfect for the ceremony. Definitely work with Cathy if she is available! -

My husband and I aren’t religious but needed an officiant who was able to marry us in Virginia (ie not a friend ordained online). We found Cathy on WeddingWire and really enjoyed talking to her in our initial phone call. She made some suggestions to add to our ceremony like readings by our wedding party and a wine box ceremony. I put the ceremony script together but the way she read it gave it a new life of its own, all of our guests commented on how lovely the ceremony was and there didn’t seem to be a dry eye in the audience (or at the altar!). Everyone was also amazed that we had just met Cathy for the first time on our wedding day! She was so lovely, kind, and professional, and I would absolutely recommend her! -

Wonderful ceremony
Cathy was such a pleasure to work with! From our initial introductory call, she made us feel comfortable and at ease. Due to covid, we did have to postpone a year but it was absolutely no problem rescheduling with Cathy. Our ceremony was quick and sweet. Cathy provided a sample script that we were able to modify, gave us options for vows and made sure that our “I Do’s” were perfect. Thank you Cathy for helping us become husband and wife! -

Cathy is wonderful!
Cathy is a really talented officiant and just a lovely person! We knew as soon as we met with her that we’d like to hire her. It is kind of daunting to set out to find the right person to marry you - especially from a sea of strangers on the internet - but Cathy is someone who will remind you of a dear aunt, neighbor or family friend. The ceremony was perfect, and Cathy is a total professional. We can’t recommend her enough! -

Very professional and Excellent
Cathy is amazing to work with. She's very responsive and always following up with us to make sure things are going accordingly to plan, as most things do change unexpectedly. My husband and I can't thank her enough. We planned our wedding day on our 10th year anniversary. Unfortunately, our wedding ceremony/reception got postponed due to the pandemic. However, Cathy manages to salvage our wedding date by suggesting to exchange our vows at a non-crowed park. We decided to do it at O-town Alexandria Waterfront park. Our day couldn't get any better. We absolutely loved working with Cathy! My husband and I found Cathy online and quickly scheduled a phone discussion with her. Cathy was warm, open, and heard us when we said we wanted to keep it short and sweet. We didn’t even schedule to meet in person as we were that confident. It took a short few drafts to get our script where we would like it. She is a lovely person and did a phenomenal job the day of. We couldn’t haven’t been happier. My only wish I could get married again to do the ceremony all over again (with Cathy!!) -

Cathy was wonderful! This may be somewhat of an odd compliment but it really was nice, is that she has a very soft and beautiful voice. She was there every step of the way, asking all the questions so she could perfect tailor our ceremony to who WE were. Stop searching and BOOK Cathy!!
Cathy was a godsend for our wedding! From the day we reached out to her until the day we received our signed marriage license, Cathy has been attentive, caring, accommodating and thorough on the service she provided to us. Cathy has a way of setting the most frazzled bride to be at ease! As I was walking down the aisle and saw my future husband standing there, the tears started welling up in my eyes! One look at Cathy and her reassuring smile and slight head nod instantly calmed my anxiety and emotions. She effortlessly conducted our ceremony, implemented an old Mexican Catholic Lasso tradition, and engaged our guests (150 count) and everything flowed like a dream!
Thank you Cathy, from the bottom of our hearts for your service and we will continually refer you to everyone who is looking for an officiant! -

Cathy is fantastic!
I don't think we could have found a better officiant. She was caring, laid back, and energetic. She was also very patient with us even though we didn't have our ceremony finalized until just a few days before the wedding! She provided us a great "base script" to start the ceremony planning process and we customized it from there.
We had a pretty simple, non-religious ceremony. She showed up well prepared, and delivered all documents in a timely manner. Another plus is that she looked great in our photos ;) and she actively tries to 'disappear' during the first kiss. I would definitely recommend her to anyone! -

I am very thankful to have had Cathy from Love Hubb for my Memorial Day May 28, 2018 wedding! My husband and I appreciate that she is very professional, easy to work with, and an energy of positivity and calm. Her passion in this work shines through every interaction!
During our initial phone consultation with Cathy, she gained our trust by getting to know us first as a couple before discussing the logistics of the wedding.
Cathy had a collection of draft ceremony scripts and vows, from which I drew inspiration for my non-denominational wedding. I grew up in the Philippines in my childhood, and it was important to me to have elements of Filipino Christian wedding rituals weaved throughout our ceremony. Even though she was not familiar with Filipino wedding rituals, she was open to learning new traditions. We did not meet Cathy in person until our ceremony, and it went along smoothly!
She was very communicative throughout the planning process. She responds right away to emails, and gives ample space for the bride to take in suggestions and edit the ceremony script. I'm very thankful to have had her calm presence to keep me on track and to balance my frazzled self who went a little OCD with the ceremony and vow script. We worked together through unlimited edits to create a ceremony that truly felt authentic to me and my groom. Our constant communication truly helped with being on the same page for the script and being in tune with each other during the ceremony, which was our first meeting in person!
Cathy does this for fun, so she is able to charge a very affordable rate to her clients. Great for folks on a tight budget!
Before the wedding, she made sure to ask what our colors were, so that her outfit wouldn't clash. Cathy made sure to file our marriage license within the time frame she said she would. Cathy is an overall great officiant! -

We contacted Cathy after things fell through with our initial officiant. She was so understanding and told us exactly how she officiates ceremonies. She even sent us a draft script to help us make our decision and gave us the time we needed to think things over. We are SO happy we chose to go with her. Her ceremony was beautiful and perfect for us. We received lots of compliments from our guests afterwards telling us how great she did. It was a really windy day so we appreciated her toughing it out in the cold to officiate for us! Thank you, Cathy! -
Kayla Sent on 08/05/2018Cathy was an absolute dream to work with! She met with us to learn a little more about what we were looking for in an officiant and our wedding ceremony. After meeting she quickly put together a document that we could all work on together. If there was something we didn't like she would offer several more suggestions. Her collaborative style and way with words made our ceremony unique and personalized to us. She is quick to respond to questions, she had everything printed and ready to go on the day of in case we forget the copies of our vows or the readers needed their passages. Following the ceremony she signed our documents and sent them in to the courthouse. We received the "fancy" copy of our marriage license quickly and were able to get our certified copies from the courthouse within a week or so. Cathy provided us the exact ceremony experience we were looking for I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a personalized experience at a reasonable price!

And thank goodness she had brought a handkerchief because I bawled while reading my vows and it truly was a lifesaver! You won't meet a kinder or more warm person to perform your ceremony, I give her an 11/10!

Not only was she professional but she managed to help keep things light hearted and help ease my nerves. I even emailed her a few days before the wedding b/c I was having a lot going on and she was more than willing to give advice! I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is getting married in the near future or even plans to get married in the next year or so!!

Nedj Sent on 10/18/2017I don't even know where to begin, except with "Choose Cathy, you will not regret it". I found her on a whim from searching on WeddingWire for officiants, and it was a struggle for me because I thought some of them were overpriced, and I also I wanted an officiant who would fit my ceremony style. I was adamant on choosing an officiant who could perform a civil ceremony and Cathy did it in a way where everybody felt the LOVE in the air. From my initial message to her, to when my husband and I met up with her for coffee, to the wedding day itself, Cathy was truly a delight to have as my officiant. We never even had a formal contract that was signed- it was just based on trust and I knew I could trust her. She was always there to offer assistance for either of us in anyway, even with vows and ceremony details. It was an emotional, but beautiful ceremony. I am so happy to have met her and am so thankful for her and making our wedding day so special. I would highly recommend her to future brides. There's no one better than her!

Her professionalism and kindness were greatly appreciated, and I loved how she gave such personal touches to the ceremony. She kept details secret that the bride and groom wished, but never made anyone in the bridal party feel unprepared. From the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony and even after, I felt confident that Cathy could answer any questions that I, the bridal party or bride and groom had. I know from talking to the bride that Cathy took so much time to get to know what the couple envisioned into the ceremony. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs an officiant. -

My husband and I had a hard time finding a wedding officiant and we're so happy that we ended up with Cathy! She wrote out our whole ceremony and gave us the option to customize it however we wanted. She also provided sample vows, which we used as starting point for the vows we wrote ourselves. The wedding ceremony that Cathy created touches on the purest form of love and marriage and was absolutely beautiful. We will treasure her kind words and use them as a guide for years to come. I loved having the script before the wedding so I knew what would be coming. The wedding itself was a blur of emotion, but Cathy's words were familiar since I had read them before and that made the ceremony more meaningful. Cathy took the time to meet us for lunch early in the planning process and checked in several times leading up to the wedding. She wasn't able to be at our wedding rehearsal, but she helped us figure out what needed done so we could do it without her. Cathy also explained to us what needed to happen with the marriage certificate and took care of it after the ceremony. My only minor critique is that Cathy showed up to our wedding with blue streaks in her hair. They were subtle, but noticeable. I wasn't expecting that and it shocked me at first. I quickly realized there was nothing I could do and accepted that it added character to the day. Cathy was a wonderful officiant and I'm thrilled that we had her!
