Lorna is the best!!!

My mom and I decided last mintue that we didn’t want to do our makeup ourselves for my wedding and started looking for a makeup artist. We found Lorna and were INCREDIBLY lucky that she had plans that got canceled the weekend of my wedding so she was still available. I cannot say enough good things about Lorna! She was super knowledgable and talented! I had no idea what kind of look I was going for, but I knew I wanted to look like an enhanced version of myself and she accomplished just that! My skin looked flawless with her airbrush foundation and she made my eyes pop with colors that complimented my flowers, it was really beautiful work and it lasted all night long! She was also a great person to be around on what could be a pretty stressful day, a really calming presence.

She did makeup for my mom, my younger sisters, and my grandma as well, and they were stunning! We had a wide range of ages with my youngest sister being 14 and my grandma being 91, and Lorna not only made sure that everyone felt comfortable with what she was doing and asked throughout the process if they were happy with how they looked so far, but the final results were awesome and my family was SO pleased.

Lorna gave great advice about how to keep your makeup looking perfect if you get a little emotional and even advice to my dad on how to walk me down the aisle slower than what feels natural to give the photographer time to get great shots!

We are all extremely glad we got to work with her and she made us all look glamorous for my wedding day!

Lorna is a Magician

Lorna was originally scheduled to just do make-up for me and my friend. I didn't want an overly glam look, but definitely something special. Lorna did a wonderful job making me look natural and glowing, but still a touch glam for the occasion. My friend had recently had a horrible experience with a make-up artist, but Lorna was able to quickly erase that memory, and did such great work that my mom and aunt also decided last minute Lorna to do a little touch up on them. Lorna is so quick and skilled that we still finished on time, and was so flexible and fun with my family that it felt like she was just one of the girls! Her make-up also lasted all night, through lots of dancing. I would highly recommend her.

Such a wonderful experience!

Hands down!!! If you are looking for hair and make-up, then I recommend Lorna Basse and Remona! They are the best team that you can ever have! And I know what I'm talking about because I have worked for years in the spa industry. Your wonderful Experience starts from the day you make the reservation to your big day! They are both on top of schedule and timing. I'm not even going to mention how wonderful the hair and make-up was! We did not even have to touch up hair or make-up. Everyone was glowing! And we received tons of compliments! So blessed to choose Lorna and Remona! Thank you again for making my daughters day so special! If I can give you more than 5 stars I would!!!

Very talented and a pleasure to work with

One of my closest friends worked with Lorna for her wedding several years ago, and she looked amazing, which immediately put Lorna at the top of my list when I was looking for a makeup artist for my own wedding later on. I'm SO glad that it worked out for Lorna to be the MUA for my wedding too, because she's extremely talented and simply a joy to work with. I really appreciated that I could tell she was listening to me and paying attention to what I wanted, and when I decided in the time between our trial and my wedding date that I wanted to go for a bit of a bolder look than I'd said I wanted at the trial, she was totally ready and willing to adapt. I was SO happy with how my makeup looked day-of, and Lorna also did a fantastic job with the other women whose makeup she did, including both my mom and MIL. I highly recommend Lorna!!!

Above & Beyond

Lorna went above and beyond for us! I am a make up artist myself and was supposed to do the make up for my cousins wedding. My husband came down with COVID 7 days before the wedding. Lorna was timely in getting back with us and helped us find someone to do hair as well! She squeezed us into her jam packed schedule and was so kinds! Thanks for saving the day Lorna!

Saved the Day!

I was actually supposed to be the makeup artist for my cousin’s wedding. 6 days before the wedding my husband tested positive for COVID and we were unable to travel to the wedding. I freaked out and started trying to find make up artists who were available. Lorna was one of the only ones who responded to me and she responded with in a couple of hours! I explained the situation and since I was out of town she even reached out to her network to find someone to do the bride’s hair as well. She made herself available and saved the day so that the bride didn’t have to worry about a thing!

Lorna did an outstanding job at my wedding with her makeup expertise. We had our destination wedding in Mexico. She did my trial the day prior to the wedding day which was my rehearsal dinner but changed the look up a bit so it wasn't given away! She gave me a beautiful glow and enhanced my facial features with a natural airbrush look. I felt so GLAM. She also helped complete my look with suggesting flowers in my hair! She knows how to complete a look. Thank you Lorna for being apart of our special day and making everyone look and feel their best!

We went to Lorna for a trial run (mother of bride and bride) and Lorna listened and translated what we wanted into a makeup application. On the day of the wedding she came to our venue and we had a great time getting made up. Again she listened carefully, and gave us what we wanted. We looked great but not overly made up. It was very natural and she's lots of fun as well. It was a great experience, especially for two people who don't wear much make up. We felt terrific.

Lorna was a true pleasure to work with on my wedding day. I did many trials and couldn't seem to find the right look or person, until Lorna. I was first impressed during my trial with the amount of time Lorna spent talking about the wedding, personality, tone before we even started doing makeup. I felt like she totally understood me and what I was trying to achieve for my wedding day. On the day of, Lorna was so professional, fun, and had great advice! She made my family members and bridal party look beautiful and elegant without the "over done" look. I was so happy with my makeup application, the products, and the attention to detail Lorna clearly puts in with everyone sitting in front of her. Lorna's makeup looked effortless and glowy with a touch of glamour. Everyone in our group of 9 looked wonderful from the afternoon through the evening. Thank you Lorna!

Lorna was an excellent make up artist! She was very receptive to what I wanted and was able to deliver a beautiful look that last well into the night (and the next day...oops!)

She gave me a glowing complexion and just enough glam, without making me look like a different person. She also was able to achieve all this with a light hand - I did not feel like I was wearing a thick mask of make-up. Highly recommend!

I do not wear makeup. Sometimes, a little lipstick... never anything heavier. So, I was nervous looking for a makeup artist for my 10 June 2017 wedding. I came across Lorna and chose her because, on her website, she said "I will make you look like the best you possible." I wanted to look like me, not some person who could be made up to look like me.

Lorna did an unbelievable job giving me a natural look with a hint of glam. She made my mom look years younger. She gave my MOH a soft, romantic look that we are all still talking about.

Lorna is a professional. She did my trial about a month out and took extensive notes on what I wanted and what she used. I knew that on my wedding day, my makeup would be perfect. And, I wasn't disappointed.

Lorna also does makeup lessons. I am considering coming back to her to learn how I can get a little bit of that magic on my own!

My daughter and I consider ourselves minimalists when it comes to makeup. However, we knew a daytime wedding and a nighttime reception would require something special. Of course, we decided this less than a month prior to my son's wedding date. Lorna went above and beyond for us. In our initial conversation, she told me she had a possible conflict with the day I requested. She asked me to give her a few days to see what she could work out. She actually tried to find another makeup artist who could do our makeup but unable to do so, she rearranged her schedule to allow us to come to her. It goes without saying - we are grateful she fit us in and were extremely pleased with the results. Our makeup lasted the day and well into the night with only a need for a touchup on our lipstick (which she supplied for us). She is a professional, an artist, and easy to work with. I highly recommend Lorna!

Lorna is such a pleasure to work with and made sure I both looked and felt stunning on my wedding day! She has an incredibly gentle touch that enabled me to look like a bride but not overdone and cakey. I was nervous about getting ready so early in the morning and having it last all day but the makeup was so strong that I never even had to think about it. I learned a lot from Lorna about skincare and makeup application. Thank you Lorna for playing a key role in my special day!

Lorna is amazing! She is extremely professional and so knowledgeable of skin care and make up. She gave me great tips to clear up some minor acne before my wedding and it worked! She was extremely flexible when one of my bridesmaids who had originally chosen not to get her makeup done decided, the day of, to get her makeup done. Lorna said no problem and fit her right in! My make up was perfect! It was exactly what I wanted, very natural and romantic! I got so many compliments all night on my makeup! Lorna is the BEST! I highly recommend her!

Lorna is the best! I met Lorna at my friend's wedding and knew right away I wanted to hire her to do my own wedding day makeup. I'm so happy that I did - I felt beautiful and my bridesmaids looked gorgeous. It was super hot and humid on my wedding day and I had no idea how the makeup would stay intact but it did - Lorna is really really good at what she does. Thank you Lorna!!

Lorna is a real make-up artist! She made me beautiful on my wedding day, and I got so many complements! She also did make-up to my 2 girls, and they were very happy with it, as well! Lorna did my make-up and my mother's make-up for my fall wedding, and she was truly amazing. I tried several other make-up artists at local high end salons and none were as skilled as Lorna. The other trials I had resulted in my make-up being caked on. But not so with Lorna. She made me feel beautiful, but I still looked like me. She has done this so many times it is very calming to have her around on the wedding day. My mother, who can be very picky, felt the same way. If I had another event where I needed a make-up artist, Lorna would be my first call.

I was a first-time mother of the bride, who had little make-up experience. Lorna did the make up for the bride, bridesmaids, and me at our home. She loved the outdoor lighting on our porch, so we set up her "studio" there. It was a wonderful experience to have Lorna bring out the best, natural look in each of us. She is a true professional, who knows her craft and also how to engage with her clients to bring confidence and general goodwill to the process. I knew the excellent quality of her work when guest after guest said to me, "You look so beautiful! I'm sure I owe those comments to Lorna.

Lorna was a true professional! Sometimes makeup artists can pressure you into wearing too much makeup, but Lorna totally listened to what each person in my bridal party wanted (including me, the bride). We all just looked like the best versions of ourselves! I would highly recommend Lorna!!!

If you want a true professional makup artist, Lorna is it. I was very happy with my wedding day makeup, in fact, a few people told me that my face and skin looked flawless. Prior to the wedding day, we did a trial at Lorna's house so I knew what to expect and made a couple of adjustments on the day of. On the day of the wedding, Lorna came to us at our hotel. She was very efficient, and was able to fit in someone who was not even on our timeline, and we still had time to spare at the end. At first Lorna's pricing seemed high to me, but after looking around I realized that she is actually very reasonably priced if you want someone good, which is worth it since you want to look your very best on your wedding day.

Lorna was highly recommended by several of my colleagues. She admits to being light handed with her application, which I really appreciated. She was able to really accentuate my and my bridesmaids' features naturally, but with a great pop of glamour. I received compliments all night, but most importantly I felt gorgeous all night long. The makeup lasted all night through all of the crazy events and late night. She is a total gem and also has incredible recommendations for other vendors. Her taste is great and I am still so happy looking at the pictures! She is a must have, book now!

I decided at the last minute to have my make up done for my wedding and I am so glad I did. I can't say enough good things about Lorna. Not only did she do an amazing job with my make up, she was great at picking up on my make up preferences and figuring out what look would work best. I will use Lorna again whenever I have a special event and I want to have my make up done. She was awesome to work with.

Lorna did a fantastic job on the make-up for my wedding day. She was extremely professional, reliable, and so easy to work with. I am uneasy wearing a lot of makeup, but Lorna definitely enhanced my look while keeping it natural so I still felt like myself. Highly recommend!

Lorna was fantastic. She was responsible for all of the makeup for my 11 bridesmaids and myself. Everyone looked beautiful and the makeup was very natural. She was very calm and worked very quickly. She is very responsive and gets back to you quickly. This is the third time she has done my makeup and each time it has stayed on and looked great. I highly recommend her.

We LOVE Lorna! Professional, incredibly experienced and fun to work with I honestly can't say enough about her work. As a 47 year old bride, she made me look incredible (if I do say so myself!). She also provided skin care advice in advance of our wedding that has made a huge, lasting difference to my complexion. Lorna also provided make-up for my mother (75 years old) - she looked absolutely stunning. Clearly she has a talent for working with women of all ages. Lastly, we had a last minute schedule change - Lorna jumped through BIG hoops to shift another client appointment around to accommodate our needs. Can hardly wait to find another excuse to hire her!

I loved working with Lorna. She was on time, professional and of course made my sisters and me look gorgeous. I also appreciate how helpful she was explaining to us how to steam my dress and helped me adjust it when I put it on and instructed me on how to use garment tape. It was like having a lovely assistant in our dressing area.

Lorna is amazing! She listended to my thoughts of how I wanted to look on my wedding day and the results were perfect! I looked myself but "bridal"! My makeup stayed on the whole night and didn't run or shine at all. I've already seen some pictures back from the wedding and I'm so pleased how my makeup looks. She also did the makeup for some of bridesmaids and my mother. All of them were very pleased with her work. I would highly suggest you higher Lorna for your wedding; I know I plan to use her again for special events!

To put it simply: I have NEVER felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day. Lorna listened to what I wanted and executed it better than I could have ever even hoped for. I looked like a much, much better version of myself, which is exactly the look I was going for (especially since I don't normally wear a lot of make-up). I cannot recommend Lorna enough. She is amazing.

I'm one of those girls who know nothing about make up and I always felt that because of my "kinda baby face" make up is not for me but I was seriously blown away with Lorna ... She did an amazing job with my make up as well as my maid of honor (sister) who LOVED the outcome so very much. Lorna is very responsive, very professional and cared about what we wanted and what made us comforetable. She really had a mission to show the best of my look on my special day. The pictures came out GREAT and the make up lasted through out the night. She is very talented and quick and pleasure to work with. She is a real talent.

Lorna did the makeup for my bridal party. I wanted everyone to look their best but not to look made up. She got that and did a great job of making me, my family and friends all look amazing, while still looking like ourselves. She brought out the best in each of us. She listened when I asked to change a few things from my pre-wedding trial session. She was very friendly, professional and laid back as well, not getting flustered when the plan changed a bit the day of.

I was so happy to have selected Lorna to do my wedding makeup and that of my wedding party!! I wanted a very natural look for my wedding - I wanted to look like myself, only better! Lorna was very thoughtful and thorough at our test run session, and ran her ideas by me - I really felt as if she was selecting the right colors and approach tailored just for me. She really plays up your best features. She solicited my feedback after our test, used her extensive experience, and adapted her final approach to my feedback (for example, I decided not to go with foundation, and she was completely fine with that). She was a calm influence on the actual wedding day, and did an absolutely gorgeous job with my makeup and that of my wedding party. I felt really beautiful and didn't worry about my makeup at all - and I still looked perfect at the end of the night.

Lorna did a great job on my wedding makeup. I loved the way I looked and my bridesmaids and family members were also really happy with their makeup. In addition to being a great makeup artist, she's also a lot of fun to be around. I highly recommend her!

Lorna was wonderful to work with! Everyone was so pleased with their makeup! Lorna made great suggestions about colors that would be flattering, but also open to any changes anyone wanted to make. At the make up trial, she made a great recommendation for a skin product that I used in preparation for the wedding and loved (continue to use to this day). She is very knowledgeable and skilled!

Lorna Basse did bridal make-up on my wedding day as well as the make-up for my three bridesmaids and mom. She does airbrushing which gives you a flawless finish. What I appreciated most about Lorna was that my makeup felt completely natural. I felt like the most beautiful version of myself! Lorna was exceptionally accommodating as I booked her last minute.

I was referred to Lorna by my wedding planner, Michele Hodges. As with all of Michele's other preferred vendors, Lorna is top in her industry. Not only is her portfolio quite impressive, I did a number of make-up trials, and by far Lorna was the BEST. Lorna asked for pictures to understand the wedding theme to include my dress, my bridesmaids dresses, flowers and the venue. After discussing the "look" I wanted to achieve Lorna delivered it perfectly. On our wedding day Lorna was on time, calm, upbeat and an absolute joy to work with! She even gave make-up tips as she made up my bridesmaids and MOB & MOG! Lorna works well with all personality types. She kept everyone on schedule. Her work is impeccable. If you want to look absolutely gorgeous on your wedding day, hire Lorna!!!

Lorna made me feel like a movie star on my wedding day. I didn't have to tell her much at all during our make-up trial and she just knew exactly what to do to bring out my best features, hide the worse :), and make me look naturally beautiful. And on the wedding day, everything turned out picture perfect... my husband doesn't like much make-up and she managed to make him happy and give me enough to make my pictures look awesome. She was also very responsive to emails and gave me some beauty tips along the way :). Very happy with the final results!

Lorna was a pleasure to work with. She did my makeup for my wedding in addition to my mother, mother in law, and 2 bridesmaids. She came to my house for a makeup trial and explained different options for makeup types, overall looks, and techniques, then asked me on my wedding day exactly how I wanted to look and made my vision a reality! She was professional, on time, used clean tools and high quality products. She is truly top notch. I would recommend her for any bride looking for a professional, high-end, top quality makeup artist for her wedding!
