Long is unbelievable 😍 I hardly have the words to describe how happy we are with him and his work. I am a photographer myself, so going into this, I had high expectations. He made us feel insanely comfortable, got us laughing, made us feel confident and most importantly, didn't pose us! His prompts provided us with the most natural of photos and he truly just captured our love. I couldn’t imagine trusting anyone else with some of the most important photos of our lives. We absolutely love you, Long. He will be our go-to photographer for the rest of our lives. -

There are some decisions you make during wedding planning that you’re happy with… and then there are the ones that you feel deeply grateful for. Choosing Long Yau was one of those for us.
From the very beginning, Long felt like more than just a photographer—he felt like someone who truly understood what this day meant to us. There was so much care in the way he connected with us, listened to what mattered, and made us feel seen. That feeling carried through everything.
On our wedding day, emotions were high, things moved quickly, and yet somehow Long created this sense of calm around us. He guided us gently when we needed it, stepped back when moments were unfolding naturally, and captured everything in a way that felt so real and unfiltered. We didn’t feel like we were “posing” for photos—we felt like we were just living our day, and he was there preserving it.
When we got our photos back, we both cried. Not just because they’re beautiful (they truly are stunning), but because of how much feeling they hold. The quiet moments. The joy. The nerves. The love from our family and friends. The tiny in-between glances we didn’t even realize were happening. He gave us a way to relive our wedding day exactly as it felt.

Long exceeded all expectations we had for a wedding photographer (~100 person wedding). He was professional and easy to schedule with before the wedding, and on the day he was so friendly and funny! Long did a great job of being there for every moment but not interfering with the moment itself. We were so happy with the photos in the end. Long captured so many beautiful moments so perfectly. His pricing and packages are very reasonable. You cannot go wrong by choosing Long as your wedding photographer. -

Choosing Long as our wedding photographer was the best decision we have ever made! When we first reached out to Long, we scheduled a FaceTime to chat, and we immediately felt comfortable with him. Not only did he make us constantly laugh with his great sense of humor, but we could tell how much he cares for the couples he works with.
We had our engagement session in the mountains in Virginia, and Long was very communicative and easy to work with to schedule everything. He was thoughtful about each detail that went into planning the perfect photos. While the weather wasn't as nice as we'd hoped on the day of, Long turned it into the most beautiful photos we could've ever hoped for! We ended up grateful for the cloudy day because of the amazing shots that Long got. During the engagement shoot, Long continued to make us feel comfortable and laugh the whole time. We LOVE spending time with him!
Again, for our wedding day, Long was so easy to hop on a call with and talk through timelines and details. He was there to answer any questions we had and put our minds at ease. Long was at our wedding ALL DAY, worked incredibly hard, made the day SO fun, and got every photo we'd ever wanted and more. Long captured our happy tears, cherished loved ones, favorite moments we never want to forget, and the love that we felt throughout the day. I am forever grateful to Long for sharing his talent with us to memorialize our wedding day. -

Long is the best. He was attentive and responsive at every point in the process. We were never concerned about reliability or quality- he followed through on all commitments and takes great care with his work. He has a way of creating settings with light that make you look at a moment in a different way. Long’s style ensures you will have uniquely beautiful photos that surprise you as well as classic must-have shota, which is exactly what we wanted. He should probably charge more, he’s clearly in it for the art/experience and not the money. -

Long is truly a class act, and his work is stunning. I first met him years ago at my brother’s wedding in Raleigh, NC, where I was a bridesmaid. His work from that day left such a lasting impression that when I got engaged four years later, he was the very first photographer I reached out to.
Even though I live in Philadelphia, Long not only remembered exactly who I was but was also willing to travel the nine hours to be part of our day—and he worked within my budget, even though his services are usually valued higher. From the very beginning, he reminded me that he considers my family his family, and he was genuinely excited to see everyone again. That spoke volumes about how deeply he cares for his clients.
On our wedding day, Long arrived two hours before the ceremony and stayed until the very end of the reception. He spent the entire day with us, keeping us laughing, guiding us into beautiful poses, capturing unforgettable candid moments, and—most importantly—advocating for us. When our timeline ran behind and it seemed like we might miss our sunset photos, Long reminded us that it was our day and made sure the venue staff and DJ adjusted so we didn’t miss out. His dedication is unmatched—he literally drove from NC to Philly, photographed our wedding, and then drove straight back for another event the next day!
Our photos were delivered promptly and exceeded our expectations. They are stunning, timeless, and truly capture the joy of our day. I highly recommend this photographer! From the very beginning, he was completely professional and took care of every detail. We felt very well taken care of at our wedding because Long remembered everything and guided us throughout! When I received the photos, Icouldn't believe how beautiful they were (I stared at them for two hours straight). Every photo was perfect! I know he spent a lot of time on them and paid attention to every detail! If you want to feel taken care of at your wedding and want the most beautiful keepsake for life, choose him! Long was great to work with - he is very down-to-earth and personable! Long got all of the shots that we wanted, but also remembered to capture things that I hadn't even thought of/didn't mention to him. As a scatter-brained bride, it's good to have a photographer that will remember the things you forget! It is very obvious that he is experienced in wedding photography when taking this kind of stuff into consideration. We are extremely happy with the 660+ photos we got back from our wedding day (and over 150 for our engagement shoot)! -

There are not enough words to describe how we feel about Long. Trusting him with our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. If you don't hire Long you are making a mistake
Long is, without a doubt, the best photographer I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He is so kind and knowledgable... plus, his portfolio is gorgeous. I did not have a 'wish lists' of certain photos when we hired Long and all I told him was that I/we wanted to look amazing with no double chin and he far exceeded our expectations even with the little to no direction that we gave him. He easy going but knows all the best shots. If/when I need a photographer again, I will go out of my way to hire Long! -

Don’t think twice. Long is incredibly talented and has a heart to go with it. From our first meeting, we were at ease and found ourselves laughing the whole time. We decided to pivot last minute to a teeny wedding with just family with a very short lead time. Long worked with us to figure out a date and plan. From showing up with bells on, to bringing extra marshmallows to our cranky kiddo, he never missed a beat. Our photos were unbelievable. Long Yau is an absolute gem of a photographer. First of all, his pricing was the best of any of the local photographers that I contacted. He included engagement photos for only a small additional fee so that we could build a relationship before the wedding and so that we could feel more comfortable with posing. My husband and I are very camera-shy, but from the time of the engagement photos to the day of the wedding, he made us feel at ease. He was extremely professional, arriving very early to the wedding to capture me getting ready and scope out areas with good lighting for our first look. And he was incredibly generous as well—I believe we only paid for 8 hours of service, but he must have been with us for at least 10 hours on the wedding day. And then he delivered the photos, and oh my goodness…he made me look like a princess! They were absolutely gorgeous. Long’s photographs will shape how we remember our wedding for the rest of our lives, and he made the whole event look like a fairytale. I looked the happiest I have ever looked on camera. He has a phenomenal talent, and I am just so grateful that we used him. I don’t think anyone could have done a better job! -

It's difficult to figure out how to start other than simply saying Long is phenomenal! From the very first meeting my huband and I had with Long, I knew he was going to be the best photographer to work with. I could tell not only by his amazing portfolio, but also by his personality that he was going to be great to work with. Long has such a great sense of humor and it really lightens the mood, which made our wedding day feel so much less stressful. My husband and I are not the best at taking pictures but Long is such a master at his craft that he made it so easy for us with his instructions & our photos turned out stuning as a result. Perhaps the best thing about Long is that he won't take you away from the fun at your wedding & actually lets you enjoy the day while capturing your genuine self in that moment. A perfect choice for a wedding photographer!
Long came highly recommended by our venue, and for good reason. Working with Long was wonderful. Easygoing and with a great sense of humor, he quickly made it clear that our photography experience was going to be as low stress/low maintenance as possible. Long travelled out of state to meet us for both our engagement shoot and the wedding. He arrived at the arboretum where we were having our shoot early and scoped the place out and despite having not been there before, had all of the great spots. For the wedding, he was organized and involved. He and his assistant were always where the action was and the photos came out great! I cannot recommend him more! -

Long was absolutely incredible. Not only did he take the time to meet with us multiple times leading up to our wedding to talk through our vision and help us plan out the day, he went so far above and beyond on our actual day.
Throughout our entire wedding day Long set us at ease. He never made us feel rushed or like taking pictures was a chore, but he kept things moving and found the most amazing locations with the best lighting. Our day happened to be uncomfortably hot out, but he kept us laughing and worked right through it, never complaining. His calm demeanor allowed us to enjoy the day together and with our families stress-free, while capturing photos that we will cherish for a lifetime.
Our photo album quality was everything I had hoped for and more. He has the most amazing ability to capture lighting softly while also bringing out warmth and bright colors. He truly has an artist's eye for photo composition and while his poses were simple and natural, he captures such a wide range of focal points and angles.
We were so fortunate to have gotten to work with Long and highly recommend him to anyone searching for a photographer!

During our engagement shoot, Long made us feel so comfortable, natural, and made sure we were having fun -- which truly transforms the way the pictures look. Joy and love are palpable in all of the pictures Long takes of his couples, and it's a testament to his approach to photography and his emphasis on storytelling. He really manages to capture a love story in each of his images and image sequences -- it truly is almost like a movie, literally a sequence of pictures that create and emulate motion. While he finds beautiful and aesthetic spots to take certain pictures, Long also works magic with just a simple background, using light and his remarkable editing prowess to create evocative images. Above all, Long allowed us to have fun during both the engagement shoot and during our wedding, making us laugh, letting us have our intimate moments while inconspicuously taking photos, and letting us be completely ourselves. We are absolutely in love with all of the photos, but beyond that, are so grateful to Long for being so professional, organized, easy-going, and making us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Long was the first person we hired for our wedding after we booked the venue, and we couldn't have been happier we chose him to shoot our wedding. I fell in love with the style of his work because it is beautiful but also feels very honest. Photography was very important to me, but feeling true to ourselves was the most important thing on the wedding day. Photos that make your memories feel just like they were yesterday.
Long Yau is the best photographer that I've ever had the pleasure of working with. From the very beginning, Long was transparent, open, and willing to answer all of our questions about the wedding planning process and his role in our big day. We scheduled an engagement session with Long a few months before the wedding - an experience that I highly suggest because (1) it was a wonderful opportunity for both sides to get to know one another and (2) I was able to get hyped up for the wedding photos because the engagement shoot turned out SO well. Long is quick, efficient, and has an uncanny ability to capture the energy of a room in a photograph. Every time I look at the photos from my wedding, I feel completely transported back to that day. Sure, we have our staged photos with families, but the photos that really astounded me were the moments that Long captured where hugs are exchanged, tears are falling, and people are enjoying a wonderful day filled with life's greatest treasure, love! Don't walk, RUN, to schedule a consultation with Long. It was the best and most important decision that we made for our wedding. -

Working with Long was one of the best decisions we made for our big day. He took amazing photos, but went above and beyond to help with everything!!! From helping me with the timeline to fixing my dress and moving decor- he did the most amazing job!!! He really cares about the people he works with, and he made our day! Also I was a little worried about the fact that he doesn't have a second shooter- but it was not even slightly an issue. He got all the shots and more! Can't recommend enough. Also when my grandpa was passing he took time out of his busy schedule to edit and send me photos of our wedding early so that I could share them. That was the biggest gift ever. -

ABSOLUTE DREAM! Still on a high from seeing our wedding photos...
Long's photography speaks for itself in every way, but I can speak especially to who he is as a person. Long has a true gift in understanding your vision without you having to say a word. Our engagement photos are an absolute DREAM. Our wedding day - priceless moments are forever cemented because of his work. He captured so many moments that I myself missed. I thought to myself so many times - how did he capture that? I don't even remember him being there! And that's what you want from a photographer. He was there every step of the way, but truly made Tony and I feel like we were the only people in the world. We spent HOURS swooning over our photos once we got them. We were lucky enough to have Long work with us for our wedding on 10/21/2023 and - to put it plainly - it was the best decision we made during the whole process. Finding a photographer was something of a last minute endeavor for us; with a few upsets throughout our wedding planning process, we wanted to make sure we found a photographer that fit in our budget, and was available to work on our date! Looking through reviews for various photographers, we found Long and reached out to him. We loved his photo work, and he quickly got back to us almost right after reaching out! Our first meeting with him felt much more personal than just a business meeting, and he was able to work within our budget range and with our upcoming wedding date, and do an additional engagement session.
The day of, Long was efficient and professional, letting us know exactly how he wanted to take the pictures, and helped guide us through the whole process. When we got our photos back, it was clear we had made the right choice to have Long do our photography. All of the pictures were gorgeous and well-edited, capturing key moments throughout our night and immortalizing our wedding. Thank you again Long for your hard work! -

We have no regrets about booking Long. He was recommended to us by our DJ and the two of them were the best vendors at our wedding. He was extremely thorough throughout the booking process and the week leading up to our wedding. He really made sure he understood our aesthetic and taste, and didn't pressure us to book him if our styles didn't align. Our Telugu Hindu ceremony ended up going off script and it got a little chaotic. However, Long managed to capture such lovely photos of us that masked the chaos. On the day of the wedding, after the ceremony he could sense we were a little shaken up, and he was so calming and took us aside for some photos and fresh air. It really helped cool our nerves down. He worked really well with our videographer as well. Since we live out of town, he was also happy to replace our engagement shoot with shooting at another one of our wedding events. He is a great guy and a great addition to your wedding day dream team. -

Choosing a photographer felt like a super high pressure decision, but when we met Long, we knew he was the right choice for us. During our engagement, we ended up moving across the country to California and weren't able to do our engagement photos originally as planned. So how did Long handle it? HE CAME TO CALIFORNIA!!! We had the most beautiful pre-wedding photoshoot with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. Doing the engagement photos with Long, even though it was our first time meeting him in person, it felt like we had been friends forever. He is such a great human, funny, and makes you feel at ease. After engagement photos, we were even more excited for our wedding day. Long was a calming presence on the wedding morning, and made everything so easy -- not to mention he took stunning photos. On our wedding day, it rained all day, and Long still produced photos beyond our wildest dreams. Long made our wedding day amazing!
Long was the best choice that we made in our wedding planning by far! My fiance and I were immediately struck by his style and how gorgeous, intimate and candid his photos are and decided we had to have a phone call to see how our personalities matched. Immediately, Long put us at ease with his casual, easygoing personality and straightforward communication. He really emphasizes relationships with his couples, and wants to support you throughout your planning process so that you are on the exact same page when the big day comes around. He took our vision for engagement photos and made them a reality, treasuring our choice of a space that was deeply personal to us and making it look stunning and natural even though we took some time to warm up to the camera. We never stopped laughing around him, and had the utmost confidence he was capturing our essence as individuals and as a couple.
On my wedding day, I can't stress enough how Long was absolutely key to managing our time and our wedding party (which was a bit chaotic to say the least!). He never stressed, and his ease and confidence made it possible for me to relax because I knew he had everything taken care of and that we would have time for all of the photos we wanted and to actually enjoy our wedding. This was huge for us - we didn't want lots of posed photos but wanted to be able to celebrate with our friends and family and capture those moments and Long was always right beside us to do just that. We had to pivot multiple times due to weather and timing of other vendors, and Long took each change in stride without a second thought.
After our wedding, Long feels like a true friend and a big part of our favorite memories of our wedding and the planning process. Our friends and family all commented about how kind and professional he was, and his photos truly deliver on the drama and gorgeous, vintage style what we were looking for at a moody/rustic winter wedding. Trust me when I say that using him as your photographer will be the best decision you will make when planning a wedding - truly cannot say enough good things. -

Best Photographer!
After seeing Long’s pictures from a friend’s wedding in NC, we were in love! I reached out after we got engaged to see if hewould travel to NY to shoot our wedding and HE ACTUALLY WOULD! He was communicative and reassuring throughout the entire process. We didn’t know how valuable he would be until our wedding day arrived!
The day of our wedding, we were dealing with the effects of a hurricane. Needless to say, it
was rainy and cloudy, but Long made is seem like the best case scenario.
He took charge of the day’s itinerary and coordinated timing with the venue, the groomsmen, bridesmaids, family, and videographer seamlessly. He kept me calm and positive throughout the entire process.
There was no question he was there to capture our families’ love, not just to pose us in corny portraits. There was even a point where he helped me put my sandals on!
By the end of the evening, Long was officially part of our family. I wish we had more time with him!
We got our pictures back on Christmas Day (wedding was November 11th) and we’re thrilled with how they came out. He sent us way more than we ever could have expected or asked for…all edited!
Long is a magician! I don’t usually like how I look in pictures, but he has a talent for capturing people in their happiest, most emotional and most tender moments.
I can’t recommend Long Yau enough! He helped make our day the happiest day of our lives! -

Long Yau was an amazing photographer to work with. My husband and I first had a video chat with him while going through possible photographers and Long exuded confidence in his work and personal style. My husband and I love photos that capture the moment over the clearly posed almost cheesy photos and that is what led us to choose Long as he emphasized the same in his personal preference.
When we first worked with him for our engagement photoshoot at the location he suggested, he immediately felt like a friend who made us feel at ease! The photos came out great and really captured our best moments that day.
Fast forward to our wedding day, Long arrived early to the venue and also made my bridal party feel at ease. Everyone thought I hired a personal friend! My bridesmaids and family all loved him! He made us laugh to get the best shots, and multiple people mentioned how he almost ever left my side to ensure he captured all of my important moments. Long also speaks Cantonese Chinese, which also helped as my side of the family spoke mainly Chinese and he knew what to expect from the Chinese parts of the ceremonies, which helped the day go smoother tremendously.
My husband and I feel we definitely made the best choice as Long exceeded all of our expectations in his professionalism, his ability to connect with his clients, and his hilarious personality. We couldn't ask for a better photographer! -

The most important thing for my now-husband and I during the wedding planning process was to find a photographer that didn't take us away from our wedding day to take more pictures for their portfolio, and we are so glad that we found Long. Long was not only attentive to what we wanted on our day, but made sure that we were not taken away from times like cocktail hour and dancing. We did a first look and he got all of our couple portraits out of the way (which I highly recommend in general doing). The best thing about Long- he got us all 1,600 pictures to us 8 days after our wedding. 8 DAYS AFTER! Like what!! And they were all incredible quality. I cannot say enough good things about Long. If you're still on the fence and can't decide on a wedding photographer, he is amazing and I 1000% recommend him! If you're looking for moody and natural/not posed photos, then he's definitely your guy. He did our engagement photos back in 2019 right before the pandemic hit and I still love looking back at them even now. We were supposed to have our wedding on November 2020 but had to reschedule it twice and he was so understanding and accommodating about it. I usually feel very awkward in front of the camera but he is super chill and made us feel so comfortable so it ended up being actually kind of fun and the photos turned out so natural! He also captured so many candid and funny moments from our wedding and he delivered way more pictures than I thought we would get. We are so glad we hired Long as our wedding photographer. We were initially drawn to his photography style and the finished pictures did not disappoint, we can't wait to print them out. Even better though, is how closely Long listened to what we cared about on the day of our wedding and how well he blended being present but inconspicuous at the same time. For photos of just the two of us, he was good at giving us cues and figuring out how to make us relax but he also did a great job of capturing the spontaneous moments throughout the day. Breath taking photos
If you’re thinking about hiring Long, don’t waste another minute, seriously. We had both our engagement and wedding photos done by Long and couldn’t believe the results. We walked away from our very windy cloudy engagement shoot just hoping we had atleast one decent photo. I swear Long has magic in his camera, our photos were so unbelievably gorgeous! On our wedding day, I ended up getting sick almost as soon as we started but you would absolutely never know it from looking at our photos. Besides being Uber talented, Long is really easy to work with and helps guide you along the whole process. Definitely definitely do yourself a favor and book him for your events! -

My husband and I initially contacted Long to enquire about an engagement shoot, since I didn’t believe that his prices were in our budget, but was absolutely in love with his work! His work not only captures the true love of the couples he works with, but also lights people of color extremely well, which was important to my husband and I.
Instead of just sending us his prices, he FaceTimed us and worked together to create the perfect package for our needs, within our budget. Just that alone was so helpful of him and so kind and considerate, and once we had our initial engagement shoot with him, we knew he was the one. Long has a hilarious sense of humor, he helped to bring my introverted husband out of his shell quicker than most “strangers” and quickly became someone dear to us.
About three months before our wedding, after numerous financial and health issues, my husband and I both decided that we wanted to elope. It was something we had thought about before, but I still wanted photos since we already had our wedding outfits and many things in between. Long worked with us to change our location, date, and captured beautiful photos of us, our two best friend’s and their son (our godson).
I cannot begin to express how happy I am that we chose Long as our photographer and will certainly be contacting him someday for a maternity shoot! ❤️

Phew….I don’t even know where to start with how amazing Long is, but I’ll start by saying he is the most genuine, talented, caring, passionate, funny and nicest photographer in the game.
Upon meeting long almost 3 years ago now. I remember the day perfectly. We met at a coffee shop downtown Raleigh and the connection (even knowing how amazing his photos were) was instant. Him and my husband clicked instantly and he made him feel so comfortable and made us feel like we were literally hanging out with a friend.
My husband Gus, isn’t fond of having his picture taken but Long offered a short, complimentary session to get comfortable with him since one of my best friends did our engagement pictures. Needless to say, we KNEW we made the right choice.
On the day of the wedding, Long arrived early to go over time line and details with me. He CONSTANTLY made sure I was happy and comfortable. Unfortunately, my videographer became ill the day of my wedding and to say the least I was sad. Long was by my side through it all and was quick to console and comfort me and promised he would make my wedding day pictures like going through a fairytale in a story book and he did that and MORE.
My bridal party adored him. He had us all laughing during pictures and made everyone feel instantly comfortable. And you can’t teach that….
His shots are so real and genuine and he literally captures “your love” in his photos.
I see Long now as the best photographer and also a friend. THANK YOU LONG!!

Absolutely perfect
Words can't describe how incredibly thankful my husband and I are for having Long with us during our engagement and on our wedding day. He is so down to earth and truly wants to connect with his clients. My husband and I aren't the most serious people and I was nervous about looking too awkward or goofy in our engagement photos, but Long was so helpful and walked us through everything. He was so patient and put us totally at ease. I loved that he took time to explain different lighting and his reasoning for having us pose a certain way. The best part of our engagement session was getting to know Long on the car ride to the trail locations. He is such a remarkable person and it's so great to see someone doing what they were meant to do. Our engagement photos are absolutely stunning. I look at them and still can't believe that it's me and my husband in those photos.
Our wedding photos are equally beautiful. Long perfectly captured all the emotions of the day. The sheer joy my husband and I felt on that day is so clearly seen in our pictures. They are more than we could have ever hoped for. In addition to the gorgeous wedding pictures, Long was there to give us advice about wedding logistics and to just remind us (me) to take a breath. The day before the wedding was pretty stressful and Long called us to go over some last minute details. Long is the best. Honestly, I am still blown away at how amazing our photos turned out. Our wedding day was in the middle of May, and every single day around it was sunny and gorgeous. Not too hot, not too cold… except for our day. And of course we were having an outdoor wedding! It rained and rained, the wind cut through blazers, and by the end of the ceremony my bare feet had frozen. These were tough conditions! We had to forgo the planned sunset beach photos, it didn’t matter. Long was able to capture the most special and intimate photos in the warmth of our home. Because of Long’s photos, I was almost grateful for the rain.
Not only has Long well-honed his craft, but he is just cool. His presence is calming, and he has an innate ability to made everyone around him feel comfortable. It’s incredible how subtle his is. He takes these very up-close and personal shots but, it never feels like he is overbearing. He never tries to push for anything inauthentic. In fact, it is almost like he pulls your authentic self out of you. A true gift.
Everyone has been blown away at our pictures. The way he edits his photos is so soft and romantic. You can feel the energy of the wedding through them. We were so lucky to have Long with us on our day. Especially given the weather... But, hey! A wet knot is harder to untie ;)
