LOLA Lavish with Lori worth every $$$
Booking the LOLA Lavish Package with Lori was the best investment we made during our wedding. Lori is a fantastic professional and elevated and executed our vision with perfection. She is experienced and candid about what is needed or optional to make the event memorable and EPIC. Her connection with a fantastic vendor team, fantastic eye for design, proactiveness and drive make her the perfect wedding planning master. We were planning the wedding from New Jersey and this was never an issue, and being Brazilian with guests from all over and even Brazilian vendors, Lori made sure our Brazilian culture was represented with ease! Best planner ever!!! Lori will execute your vision with no necessary expenses and amazing input - all of the favorite details or our day were Lori insights! On day of if there were any issues we have no idea! It ran absolutely smoothly despite two venues across town, snow and a bilingual crowd! Talk about being an awesome leader!-

We cannot say enough good things about LOLA!! We booked the “Last Minute LOLA” package and we worked with Sanja Dimitrijevic through the last few months of our wedding planning. She exceeded all of our expectations and really helped to make our wedding day the most perfect day. The whole planning process with her was so fun and we felt really prepared in the week leading up our wedding. No ask was too much and she met with us countless times to make sure all of the details were accounted for.
On the day of the wedding, she was on top of everything and did so much behind the scenes work. She took all of the stress out of the day which was exactly what we were hoping for! Booking with LOLA was one our best investments during our wedding planning process and we can’t recommend Sanja enough!! -

Michelle was the BEST planner! highly recommend
Working with Michelle from LOLA Event Productions was hands down the BEST decision we made for our entire wedding. If I had to plan my wedding all over again, the only thing I’d change is that I would have called Michelle even sooner. She is the best of the best and truly everything you could ever want in a wedding planner!!
From day one, Michelle brought a level of organization, expertise, and calm that completely transformed the planning process for us. Her attention to detail is unmatched. She thinks of things you didn’t even know needed to be thought about. Her planning docs, timelines, checklists, and weekly guidance made the entire year so much easier. I never felt lost or overwhelmed because she always had a clear plan, helpful direction, and everything ready before I even asked.
One of the biggest things that set Michelle apart was her vendor network. She has worked with so many of the top vendors in the industry, and she steered us toward the best of the best. Every recommendation she gave us was spot-on. Our flowers, band, venue team, lighting, rentals, beauty, photography… basically everything that made our wedding what it was came from her guidance. You can tell vendors genuinely love working with her, which made our experience even smoother.
Michelle is also unbelievably responsive. Whether it was a late-night text about a detail or a mid-day call to help finalize decisions, she was always available and somehow always ten steps ahead. She never once made us feel like a burden, even when I had a million questions. She truly cares, and you feel that every single step of the way.
Beyond everything she handles logistically, Michelle is simply a joy to be around. She brings such positive, fun, easy energy that made the entire experience enjoyable. We looked forward to our calls with her, and my family and wedding party all loved her. She was such a joy to work with that we were genuinely sad when the planning ended, but we know we’ll stay in touch far beyond the wedding.
And on the wedding day… I cannot emphasize this enough… Michelle made it possible for me to fully enjoy every second. I did not stress about a single thing. She handled every detail, every transition, every vendor, every question before it even got to me. I got to be present on my wedding day because of her. That is the biggest gift any planner can give.
Michelle is one of the hardest workers I’ve ever met. She is committed, reliable, creative, and truly wants your day to be perfect. She goes above and beyond in ways you don’t even expect. She took our vision, elevated it, and created a wedding day more beautiful than anything I had imagined.
I cannot recommend Michelle enough. She is exceptional at what she does. If you’re lucky enough to work with her, you will feel supported, cared for, and confident from the moment you start planning until the very last moment of your wedding night. Hiring her was the best decision we made, and I’m forever grateful. If you’re considering working with her, do it. You’ll thank yourself for years to come!!! -

Sanja - Day of Coordinator
Working with Sanja from LOLA was incredible. Sanja was a huge help from the start - thinking through all of the small details that I would have never considered, joining calls with my vendors and offering great insight, and building/changing my timeline until it was absolutely perfect. On our wedding day, Sanja handled literally everything. Everything ran so perfectly and it allowed me, my husband, and our families to truly sit back and enjoy the day! Sanja is incredibly detail oriented, brings a calming presence, and handled things before I even thought of them. She is incredibly trustworthy and I had no worries about any logistics on the day of because I knew she had them covered. Thank you Sanja!! -

Wedding beyond what we could have ever imagined!
Working with Sanja from Lola Event Productions was one of the greatest blessings of our entire wedding journey. From the very beginning, Sanja understood our vision in a way that felt almost instinctive. She immediately grasped what mattered most to us and helped bring it all to life with such elegance, precision, and care. What could have been a stressful process turned into something beautiful, organized, and even fun, thanks to her calm energy and her remarkable ability to anticipate every need before we even voiced it.
Sanja’s attention to detail is unmatched. She guided us through every decision with patience and intention, making sure that each element felt true to us. On the wedding day, she orchestrated everything so seamlessly that we were able to be fully present and enjoy every single moment. Every guest noticed how flawless everything felt, and that is entirely thanks to her.
What makes Sanja truly exceptional is her heart. She genuinely cares about her couples and puts so much of herself into what she does. We always felt supported, understood, and cared for. Highly recommend
As the mother of the bride, I can confidently say that choosing LOLA for our wedding planning was one of the best decisions we could have made. Sanja D. was our planner and were so impressed with her from the very beginning. Her organizational skills and attention to detail were incredible. She was on top of everything and helped up obtain the top local venders in the industry. Also, she reviewed all contracts and helped us meet every deadline throughout the planning process. Sanja was also incredible on the day of the wedding, allowing us to all enjoy every minute of the day without having to worry about the itinerary or any of the details. At the end of the night, Sanja even delivered my daughter’s belongings and a piece of wedding cake back to their bridal suite. We highly recommend using LOLA (and Sanja) for wedding planning!

The best there ever was!!!
One month out from our wedding and I'm just now able to put into words how incredible the day was, mainly due to Lori & LOLA Events. Lori goes above & beyond in every single regard -- not only does she facilitate every detail with venues, stationary, band, hair/makeup, etc, she puts so much effort into the small things -- table numbers signs, family photo tables, wedding programs, etc. There will be probably 10 things you had no idea to even think of when planning your wedding, but Lori will make sure you have them all and that they're fabulous. Lori cares so deeply about her clients and it shows in the months, weeks, and days leading up to the big day. She really became part of our family over the last 18 months, and we couldn't recommend her or LOLA any more. THANK YOU LORI & team!!! -

Could not have done this without Michelle at LOLA Events
To be honest I do not even know where to begin this review except to say that we could have not done the wedding process at all, and certainly not as well as it was done without Michelle! Shortly after our daughter became engaged, we realized we needed a wedding planner to assist us with the process. The engaged couple was too busy with work and life to be able to do this on their own. After interviewing a few wedding planners, they decided on Michelle from LOLA Event Productions. It only took one meeting with Michelle for my husband and I to realize this would be a worthwhile expense for the wedding. Michelle wowed us with her organization and planning skills. It was great for us as parents to understand the timeline, budget and possible options for creating a wedding that the couple would be thrilled with. Michelle really took the time to understand the couple and their personalities. Throughout the process she presented to couple the decisions that had to be made and options that could meet what they were looking for. She was careful not to persuade the couple one way or another, unless she really felt strongly about an option. On the day of the wedding and quite honestly the entire weekend, we were all relaxed and did not worry about any of the details because we had a timeline with details in hand from Michelle. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend with our family and friends which was so important to us. For the couple weeks following the wedding we basked in the “afterglow” of a beautiful ceremony and celebration for a beautiful couple. We could not have done this without Michelle! -

Highly rec Lola + MIchelle!
We worked with Michelle as our wedding planner last November and it was the best decision we made! To say that my husband and I had no vision for our wedding would be an understatement. All we knew is we wanted to host a beautiful and fun party with our friends and family but had zero clue where to start. From the very beginning, Michelle was incredibly organized and detail-oriented. She took the time to help us find our preferences and helped us craft a vision that reflected us. Throughout the entire process, we had constant communication and check-ins, which made us feel supported and informed every step of the way. She also managed our budget effectively and helped us not only spend money on what we wanted but what would make our day fun and beautiful. The wedding day was absolutely incredible, seriously the best day of our lives. We STILL hear about how amazing our wedding was from friends, family, and even strangers! Thanks Michelle!!!!!

Lori and LOLA are amazing!
I can’t recommend Lola and Lori enough. She made our wedding an absolute dream. She was incredibly organized, and handled all the stressful parts of planning so we could enjoy the process. She was also just a ton of fun to work with, and I really looked forward to our meetings! Not to mention the amazing vendor recommendations. Everyone at our wedding asked how we found such a great band, florist, cake etc. all that magic came from Lori! She really truly made our dream come alive! Words cannot describe how grateful be we are to Lori for making our day so special and such an absolute success. Her attention to detail and positive attitude throughout this entire planning process was so special and so wonderful! We are still basking in all the joy that was our amazing wedding. Kristy and Lola Events are the BEST
If you're looking for one of those weddings where you have to do everything yourself and it's incredibly stressful and everything goes wrong, then do NOT hire Lola Events. They are too good at their jobs for that and will give you a beautiful and perfect, stress-free experience where everything down to the last detail is accounted for. In all seriousness, I've known Kristy personally for many years and when I told her I was engaged, she did not hesitate to give me advice and resources, including hiring her and Lola events to coordinate for us. Kristy and her assistant went more than above and beyond. She created a schedule that made sense and was very easy to follow (we were actually ahead of schedule by the time we got to after-dinner speeches!), and she executed my vision of a teal, navy and gold wedding PERFECTLY. Honestly, decor and design are not my strongest areas, but I ordered a few decorations, gave Kristy a few images on pinterest and told her I trusted her with that. When she handed me my bouquet (also not my strongest area), I almost cried with how perfect it looked. Our Chuppah (which we rented from Lola) was stunning, and when I saw the room set up for dinner with the centerpieces she created from the decorations I'd bought, I almost cried again because it looked so gorgeous. Kristy collected all of our personal items and made sure everything got back to us, she worked seamlessly with all of vendors and was simply a dream. The whole day ran so smoothly and perfectly, I cannot thank her enough! -

Managed chaos & supported our vision
Where to begin. Working with Lori & Kirsty for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. We had to change our date at the last minute due to an injury, and Lori managed all the chaos with so much grace and patience. This wedding literally would not have happened without her! For our reception, Lori and Kirsty listened to our vision for a unique first dance and made it happen despite many doubts from other vendors :) It ended up being our favorite part of the night. You will not regret working with Lola. Thank you Lori and Kirsty for an unbelievable wedding process and wedding day! -

Oh my goodness I don't even know where to start on just how magical and perfect our wedding day was - it was truly the best day of our lives and it was all thanks to Lori! Every vendor she introduced us to was such a joy and dream to work with. Each vendor also told me how Lori is one of the best in the industry and that I was in good hands, which really felt reassuring. She made the whole process so much less stressful and also so much more fun (especially the tasting!).
Before the wedding my mom told me not to worry or stress if something goes wrong, because something will definitely go wrong. After the wedding, my mom told me how perfect the wedding was and how incredible it was that nothing went wrong! Lori was there at every step and it's amazing how smooth everything went thanks to her. Her professionalism, communication skills, dedication, empathy, compassion, and passion truly makes her one of the best wedding planners out there. She makes me want to get married all over again but hopefully my husband and I will have a long and happy marriage haha.

LOLA and Carly C made our wedding day a dream come true!
Working with LOLA/Carly C. was the best decision we made when it came to planning our wedding! We first met with Carly after we picked out our wedding venue. After our first call with her we knew she was going to be the one who was going to bring our dream wedding to life. Carly is prompt, resourceful, professional, confident, and has a strong attention to detail and you can tell she’s just really amazing at her job. Once we signed the contract with Carly we were set up with a Google Drive that became very helpful throughout the entire planning process. We really appreciated how organized everything was and that was the case with every other aspect of planning our wedding with Carly.
When you’re in the beginning stages of planning a wedding there are so many decisions to make ahead of you, but it seemed like in the blink of an eye we had just about all vendors booked because of Carly. She offers suggestions, introductions to vendors, answers any questions about the vendors, and makes it an easy process for all parties involved. She always kept us on track and made sure we stuck to our deadlines, which was a HUGE help! When it came to our theme, Carly took all of our inspiration, photos, Pinterest boards, etc. and provided us with a mood board that completely encapsulated what we were looking for. Every little detail was considered, from the flowers to the lighting, creating a wedding day that we’re getting compliments on to this day. The day of the wedding could not have gone any better. It really was the perfect day. Everything was seamless and Carly was always prepared to assist with anything we needed. The timeline Carly created for us went exactly as planned and there was not a single hiccup the entire day.
If you’re currently searching for a wedding planner, you don’t need to look any further than Carly! We can say with complete confidence that Carly will make sure your wedding day is everything you could ever hope it would be. We can’t recommend her enough. She takes away all of the stress of piecing every part of the day together so you can just focus on the day and enjoy every moment. Everyone we have talked to after our wedding has told us they were really impressed with how amazing the day went and we’d like to thank Carly for being the one who brought it all together. Carly, you have no idea how much we appreciate you and everything you did for us! We will never forget how amazing our wedding day was!

Amazing planner!!!
Lori at LOLA is amazing!! We interviewed three wedding planners and decided on Lori immediately after the interview. She is extremely organized, experienced, thorough, patient and made the entire process easy and enjoyable. She always paid attention to the details and never got frustrated with any of our questions. Our wedding day was so enjoyable and ran smoothly, we didn’t have to worry about anything except the celebration with our family and friends. The wedding day was easily the best day of my life and was the exact vision for what we wanted. We are so thankful that we went with Lori and so happy with how everything turned out!!

Hiring LOLA, and working with Carly specifically was the best decision I ever made
I cannot recommend working with LOLA enough. I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner Lori a little over a year before my wedding. I had already booked the venue and was unsure if hiring a wedding planner was worth it or not, and after my phone call with Lori, I absolutely saw the value and knowledge that hiring a planner would bring. She recommended I work with Carly and it was easily the best decision I made in my entire wedding process (besides my husband of course).
From our very first phone call, Carly has been beyond incredible. I truly cannot accurately describe the peace of mind she gave me throughout this entire process. I personally get overwhelmed super quickly, never know where to start, and am the biggest procrastinator. From our very first in person meeting, Carly laid everything out in a way that I was able to process and actually be excited for. She asked questions I never would have even known to ask, was able to take my messy brain and aesthetic and put together the most AMAZING vision board of everything I was trying to describe.
She created an amazing Google Drive to house all our contracts, our ideas, our timeline, basically our wedding bible. This made it so much easier to see what needed to be done and when, where we were with certain vendors, when payments were due, etc. Despite all of the information being easily accessible and readily available, Carly was CONSTANTLY there to answer my endless questions. I was always able to reach her with whatever question I had, both big and small. I was always met with her patience and knowledge no matter what I needed.
She had endless and priceless knowledge on all of the vendors we had to choose from, set up meetings with them and handled all communication, and overall just kept my sanity together. She would do the hard work so I could show up to an amazing and perfect meeting and actually enjoy my wedding process.
The entire process was a DREAM and I can solely attribute that to Carly. Every time I saw someone and they would ask how stressed I was, or what else needed to be done, each time people would be shocked at how calm and happy I was with my entire wedding planning experience. Everything was laid out for me in such an easy way, Carly would even send me periodic emails with timely to do’s and create to do lists for me. Like I said, I am a self aware procrastinator, and Carly stayed on top of me in a way that did not overwhelm me and always made sure I knew what needed to be done. She designed the most AMAZING timeline down to the literal minute for me, my family, all of the vendors, the guests, everyone.
The entire process was a dream which I cannot thank her enough for to begin with, but I have no words for how amazing she was in the final month, week, and even days before. Your wedding week as a bride is quite possibly the biggest week of your life. There are so many moving pieces, so many personal appointments you have, and potentially even people coming in from out of town to entertain, I didn’t think I would even have time to sleep. I had so many things for the ceremony and reception to bring to Carly, and she could not have been more accommodating. She worked within my crazy schedule to make sure everything got to her and to the venue. Waking up the day of my wedding, all I felt was excitement. There was not a single nerve because I knew that Carly would make sure everything was perfect. From the second she showed up, I was put at ease. When people were asking me questions, I think my most used phrase of the day was, “ask Carly”. And she knew absolutely everything. Her and her assistant made sure that I had the most amazing day of my life. The day flowed beyond smoothly, not a thing went wrong, and even if I did, Carly had a plan B-Z to make sure everything would work. My mom and dad were able to enjoy the wedding and visit with everyone, because they knew that Carly had the day taken care of. My wedding day was easily the best day of my life, my exact vision for what I wanted, and even better than I expected. And I can say without a single doubt, that ALL of it was due to Carly.
I could go on endlessly and my attention span is terrible so I truly hope if you took the time to read this entire review, you take away that you should 100000000% hire LOLA as a whole, and you should absolutely request to work with Carly. She was an amazing planner, a perfect resource, and just the best person I have met. I have so many friends and family members that have gotten married and said while it was great, the process was just terrible and they couldn’t wait to just have the day be over with. Carly made me enjoy the process, and to be able to look back on this with nothing but a smile and such happiness because Carly made sure that it was perfect. You truly just cannot put a price on what she did for us.

Hiring Carly C. from Lola Planners and getting the LOLA Signature Planning Services Package was the BEST and SMARTEST decision we have ever made. We can’t say enough great things about Carly, and although words can’t even begin to express how amazing she is, we’ll give it a shot.
From the very beginning, Carly made us feel comfortable and prepared for the journey we were about to embark on. Carly’s organization, attention to detail, and style was a perfect match for us. She immediately understood our vision and helped bring that vision to life by answering questions, pointing us in the right direction, and recommending details we never would have thought of ourselves. When planning a wedding, you have to reach out to many vendors and make countless decisions (which can get difficult when you’re a slightly indecisive couple). Lucky for us, Carly made that process seamless and ensured that we were happy and confident in our choices. Carly stayed on top of us for approvals and final decisions and handled the execution completely by herself. Her expertise and experience made the vendor selection process a cakewalk and made the wedding planning process as stress-free as possible.
Carly handled all communication with vendors, updated budget and payment spreadsheets, prepared a mood board for the wedding, offered up amazing ideas to make the wedding both beautiful and special, and sent out detailed timelines. Carly had every minute of our wedding day planned to a tee, which set us up for success. Carly’s coordination with vendors on the day of the wedding was flawless, as everything was perfectly set up and ready to go by the time we got there, and things went according to plan throughout the entire wedding.
On the wedding day, Carly made our dream wedding a reality. She made sure we were both doing okay while getting ready, prepared the wedding party and officiant for the ceremony, organized private moments for us to take everything in, was an expert at dress fluffing and bustling, helped us sneak away for our reception outfit change, packed up the bridal suite and returned our things to our hotel room, and constantly roamed around making sure things were perfect. Carly managed requests from family members during the wedding, ensured we
were never without a drink in our hand (while also ensuring that we were eating enough and drinking lots of water), helped move us along if a guest was monopolizing a little too much of our time, and checked in with us throughout the night. Above all, Carly made it a priority to make sure that we were the happiest we’ve ever been and boy did she excel at that.
Although it was our day, Carly ran the wedding so well that we felt more like guests because we were able to sit back (well, dance) and enjoy! On that note, our guests kept coming up to us saying they had never been to a wedding that was so well-organized and ran so smoothly. Guests were also raving about Carly, saying that our planner did a fantastic job setting everything up and making sure things went off without a hitch.
We can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that we would not have had such a beautiful wedding (or a wedding at all….) without Carly by our side throughout the whole wedding planning process. Carly started off as a planner, but she has truly become one of our good friends and we are forever grateful to have her in our lives. We are the biggest fans of Carly (and LOLA) and will be recommending her and her team to every single person we know who is getting married. Carly, LOLA, and the signature package are worth every cent (and more)!

A Fairy Tale Wedding with Lola Event Productions
Throughout the wedding planning process, we can’t count the number of times we said thank goodness we have Carly! Carly was our wedding planner at Lola Event Productions and we can’t say enough good things about Carly’s diligence, attention to detail, responsiveness, and organization.
We found Carly after we had picked our venue and were in the mix of looking for vendors. We found it challenging finding vendors by ourselves without knowing anything about them. Carly recommended a list of vendors for every need we had, and they were all the BEST in the industry. They were highly reputable, and all vendors Carly had worked with in the past. We were confident with the vendors we selected and sure enough they were all amazing come wedding day! Having the advice and guidance from Carly was a huge help when it came to vendor selection and took away our fears of not knowing if we made a good selection. Carly also handled all of the communication with the vendors and sent out a detailed day of timeline to all of them. I couldn’t even imagine trying to coordinate all of the times with the vendors by ourselves! Carly provided every detail to them, handled questions, and communicated what time and where they should be on the wedding day. The vendor coordination on the wedding day was flawless and the vendors were all absolutely amazing—from the photographer, videographer, DJ, cocktail reception musicians, photobooth, and florist. We would not change ANYTHING.
Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Carly had great detail and kept us on our appropriate timeline and when we should be completing different tasks. She was very on top of everything and was extremely responsive. Whenever I had a question or needed advice, she was quick to respond and always had an answer. It was very helpful to be able to work with an expert in the industry because there is SO much we didn’t know about planning a wedding and so many details we otherwise would have missed. Our wedding would have looked a lot different without the help of Carly. She also helped make the process a lot less stressful. When we started planning our wedding, we wanted to enjoy the planning process and not get stressed out about it, as we had many friends that were stressed planning their wedding and couldn’t wait to be done with it. We enjoyed every minute. Even wedding week, I had imagined it would be a chaotic week, instead everything was in line and it was more relaxing leading up to the big day! If it wasn’t for Carly, I know this would not have been the case.
Just when we thought Carly’s amazing planning couldn’t get any better, come wedding day we were truly amazed. Everything was flawless and worked like clockwork! We had 11 girls at my house the morning of the wedding getting hair and makeup done and getting ready. Somehow, we managed to be ahead of schedule and got to the church early! Carly made sure we stayed on schedule—between eating lunch, getting dressed, doing first look pictures with the bridesmaids—she helped us stay within our timeline. If it wasn’t for her, we would not have been on schedule! The day of, we also had an assistant wedding coordinator which was fantastic. Once the ceremony started, Carly went to the reception location to ensure everything was going smoothly, while the assistant stayed at the church to help things run smoothly there. Having Carly at the reception hall relieved a TON of stress knowing she was there to ensure all of the vendors showed up and the room was looking how it was supposed to. Otherwise, we would have been coordinating all of this ourselves after our wedding ceremony and couldn’t even imagine having the time to do that between pictures and mingling with guests at the cocktail reception. Carly also helped bustle my wedding dress, which caused a lot of stress to my maid of honor, mom, and mother-in-law beforehand! Everyone was concerned they wouldn’t be able to bustle the dress as it was challenging when they tried it previously. Low and behold Carly had the proper tools and helped bustle it without a sweat! At the reception I also want to note I felt a headache coming on and Carly checked in during dinner and she gave me Excedrin from her emergency supply she carries with on wedding days. She later checked in again to see how I was feeling, and I landed up taking another Excedrin and before long I was good as new! Carly was so prepared and helped save the day!
Overall, the wedding day EXCEEDED expectations. It was the fairy tale wedding we had dreamed of, and we owe that to Carly. She helped make our vision become reality and her coordination and planning is truly unparalleled. I also can’t count the number of times throughout the wedding day she just checked in to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. That truly meant a lot and we felt cared for! We heard from many people that it was the BEST wedding they have ever been to. We were blown away by the number of times we were told that. Working with Carly was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process and highly recommend working with Carly and Lola Event Productions as you plan your wedding. You will not be disappointed!

The best decision we made
Hiring LOLA Productions was the best decision we made in our entire wedding planning process. From booking our first vendor through the last song of the wedding, we had full trust in Carly (our coordinator) and the LOLA team. Carly was our partner in the truest sense of the term—she is an expert with an uncanny ability to translate amorphous vibes, feelings, thoughts, and wishes into concrete visions, plans, timelines, and moments. She struck the perfect balance of setting clear expectations around timelines and budget while also holding space for creativity and inspiration in the planning process. And when the big day arrived, she orchestrated everything with skill, care, and decisiveness. Magical, Magical Wedding
Where can I even begin with this review. Hiring Lola Planners was the BEST decision we made. We did the Signature LOLA package and it was perfect for what we needed. We were paired with Carly C. since our wedding was in Lake Geneva and she is familiar with the area. Our wedding exceeded every expectation and was the most magical day and we owe it all to Carly C. I was never someone who had a vision of what her wedding day would be and I honestly had no idea about the process. Carly took all of our (my) eclectic inspiration photos and pulled together the most beautiful (and cohesive) mood board. She then curated the PERFECT vendor team to execute the vision and it honestly turned out 1,000,000x better than we could have imagined.
We had zero stress throughout the entire planning process because we trusted Carly and the vendors. Carly answered all of our questions and gave sound advice whenever we were on the fence about a decision. She always waited to see our reaction to options or if we had questions before commenting and she (tactfully) guided us when something was worth spending more on versus something that we didn't necessarily need or it didn't make a difference.
Every single one of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to and how amazing our coordinator was. No detail was overlooked. There was no way we could have pulled off such an incredible wedding without her. This review doesn't even capture everything that she provided -- there is so much more that she did behind the scenes that I'm sure I will never know about. We cannot thank her enough for being our calm, cool, collected pillar of strength and sanity. -

Sanja from LOLA is a QUEEN
I don't think I'll ever have the right words to describe just how wonderful Sanja Dimitrijevic is. She went above and beyond to make our wedding magical, and as perfect as it could be. She saved the day on multiple occasions, took on the therapist/best friend role at times, and not only double-checked everything, but fixed things I overlooked, which she caught. While the planning process was quite stressful, I told my now-husband on numerous occasions that every time I got off a call with Sanja, all my planning stress went away. She understood our culture and Hindu weddings with such respect and knowledge, which made me so comfortable in telling her what obstacles I had through the planning process, those of which she seamlessly helped navigate me through.
Come wedding day, Indian standard time hit us like bricks. However, SHE WAS SO PREPARED! Every time I got worried with how untimely everything was happening, she assured me it was okay with all the buffers she incorporated in the schedule. With everything that happened, she handled everything like A QUEEN. Speaking of...I was so bummed that I missed the desserts at our wedding , but guess what our PERFECT coordinator had waiting in our hotel room for us.
I do hope Sanja continues making magical wedding moments for all her future couples. We couldn't have found a more perfect planner, and now friend. -

Incredible job by Sanja!
2023 bride here! I found LOLA events through The Knot. When I saw that they were in Vogue magazine, I could not help myself and reached out to Lori and request a day-of coordinator. She promptly set me up with Sanja who was absolutely incredible. Her warm personality and organization skills were a perfect match for me. She was attentive during our meetings and accommodated all my requests/meeting reschedules. During wedding week, she went above and beyond by picking up items from my home and made sure they were at the venue on the day of. She made sure the day ran smoothly (at least for the bride!) and sent a follow up email a week after the wedding with anything that she encountered that day. I would recommend LOLA to all future couples! -

Michelle Kurinec @ Lola Event Productions--EXCELLENT!
Our daughter, KT, announced her engagement to us by asking, 'Mom, don't you want to plan a fancy 'destination' wedding for me in a few months?' I was thrilled she and Tom were getting married but I panicked at the thought of planning a wedding or even being a part of the process. I said yes but added that we needed to find a wedding planner. KT's fiancé also wanted to be involved in the wedding plans. KT had done some research and had already decided on Lola Event Productions. She received recommendations for Michelle Kurinec @ Lola from a relative. We met with her and immediately liked her. We hired Michelle and got to work right away. KT had preselected a venue located in New Buffalo, MI, 90 minutes from Chicago for her 'destination' wedding. I was concerned about the feasibility and costs of having vendors travel from Chicago to New Buffalo and equally concerned with what vendors were available in southwestern Michigan post pandemic. We had our first meeting with Michelle and my concerns became less important to me because Michelle was in charge! She was: * very patient and addressed all of our concerns. * organized and able to anticipate upcoming needs based on our personal decisions * very efficient & punctual with meetings & follow-up communications * cost conscious! We really appreciated this because she could have been focused on spend, spend spend! * extremely pleasant to work with * a supreme multitasker! Very detailed oriented * great with communications--wonderful about including me on some but not all of the details (at my daughter's request!)--which I really appreciated. I wasn't overwhelmed with the decisions. My daughter knew I would likely say 'no not necessary' to some of her ideas, like the bubbles??!! ; ) * kept my daughter on task with reminders, to do lists and even provided a packing list for the wedding! There were many options available to us in Michigan and/or Chicago. Michelle professionally navigated through these options and contracts very easily. Michelle's active involvement in all areas wedding were really a blessing! You know how mom's and daughters can have little tifs at any age? (Over things like the bubbles!!) The wedding planning was pretty much tif free!! I surrendered my concerns and opinions--our daughter was in good hand's with Michelle. The day of the event was masterfully handled by Michelle. While we were waiting to walk down the aisle I noticed a couple arriving from out of state who had not RSVP'd. Based on the note they had attached to their gift we thought they were not coming! KT & I told Michelle about the arrival of our unexpected guests and seamlessly took care of getting them a seating card, places to sit, place settings and meals. Michelle also provided suggestions as to what we could say to make them feel warmly welcomed and not mention their missing RSVP! It worked and was an excellent & thoughtful strategy. We found Michelle to be pleasant to work and very professional. We would highly recommend Michelle Kurinec.

Hire Sanja!!
Sanja Dimitrijevic was the absolute MVP of our wedding day.
Even though we technically only hired her as a day-of coordinator, her commitment to us started well before the day of our wedding. Sanja was detail-oriented and responsive – starting from our very first meeting. She was an excellent listener and was always willing to provide feedback when needed.
If there was a question that she didn't immediately have an answer to, she would seek out a response and get back to us quickly. She was incredibly helpful in reviewing our contracts, communicating with our vendors and establishing a detailed timeline.
But the real magic of Sanja came out the day of the wedding!
She was in her element.
She had a calm yet confident demeanor that made us feel so at ease so that we could enjoy our day. From morning until night, anytime we needed her, somehow Sanja appeared in our sights.
She thought of every last detail, from providing treats to the ring-bearer bearer and flower girls (and the anxious bride) to making sure that we had hors d'oeuvres and our signature cocktail in our bridal suite.
And she wasn’t just great with us. Several of our family members came up to us independently that night to tell us big and small ways she had helped them.
We couldn’t recommend Sanja highly enough. -

Review of LOLA Day-of Wedding Coordinator
Having Sanja from LOLA as our day-of wedding coordinator made our wedding day feel smooth, seamless and stress-free! After months of planning the wedding, I wanted to be sure to minimize stress so I could truly enjoy myself during the week leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day itself. I knew I was in great hands with Sanja — she handled communication about day-of logistics with all of our vendors, set up the cutest guest book signing area with her own polaroid camera, ran through our rehearsal with our entire wedding party, helped avoid a minor crisis with our flowers and even helped me steam my dress again right before walking down the aisle to make sure it was perfect. Go with Lola if you want an incredible wedding!
My partner and I didn’t know the first thing about planning a wedding and we went into the process a bit apprehensive with all of the decisions we knew that we would have to make. We had a quick introduction call with Lori, the owner of Lola, and knew immediately from the start we were in good hands. Her knowledge of weddings, connections with the BEST vendors in town, and her organizational resources were all so invaluable and helped us create, from scratch, our ideal wedding. From start to finish, Lori kept us on track and took an insane amount of stress off our plates because we knew every last detail was accounted for the entire time. It’s been a few weeks since our wedding, and we still have several friends telling us it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to. You need Lola!!
If you’re looking for the best wedding planner or day of coordinator in the business, you’ve found them! We had the privilege of working with Carly C. for all three of our wedding dates — originally 9/26/2020, then 8/14/21, and finally 4/9/2022. I only list the dates to highlight that we worked together from 2019-2022 — meaning that we not only worked together for 3 years, but we also worked together through the toughest years imaginable for the wedding industry. However, you would have never known that working with Carly, which is a testament to her professionalism, character, and laser focus on her couples. She went above and beyond her contract in so many ways: rebooking vendors, giving sound advice when we tried to predict the unpredictable in 2020/21, and truly being a friend and advocate every step of the way. Any bride getting married in those years would tell you how tough it was, including me, but I had the perfect partner in planning, strategizing, and finding the right solution for us. We ended up with our dream day at the Chicago Athletic Association — our original venue with all of our original vendors — and Carly was beyond instrumental in making it happen.
In addition to being an absolute pleasure to work with, Carly brings incredible experience to the table. She really has seen — and masterfully handled — everything. Ask her about vendors — she has solid recommendations in every field (and they love working with her). Ask her about how to handle a concern about your venue — she’ll tell you about what her past couples have done in that exact space (or leverage the LOLA brain trust!). You’ll quickly see you can ask her anything, and you will get a thoughtful, helpful, and productive response from Carly. She really is as good with the big picture as she is with the small details, and she cares about what matters to you. For instance, Carly knew I cared about the day staying “on time” as I’ve seen so many weddings get off track as a guest. I am not kidding when I say our dance floor opened at 9:00 PM on the dot. She knew I cared about predictability and structure, and she made it happen without me even being aware of it or conscious of it during the day.
That example brings me to another key point about Carly and the service she offers. The timeline of my day is a small example, but more broadly speaking, Carly seamlessly allowed me, my husband, and our family, to enjoy our wedding day unencumbered with details and decision making. We all floated through the day — focused on the joy of it all — while Carly had our backs. She does the right pre-work before the wedding (coordinating vendors, in/out times, planning details with venue, etc.), and then masterfully executes on the day. Having a coordinator and/or planner as wonderful as Carly allows for a shift in mindset — your work is done! It’s just time to enjoy the best day of your life.
My last words… if you are thinking you may not need a coordinator, you have parents, siblings, or bridal parties that will help cover tasks… I have to say that having a coordinator is a MUST. I would rank it as the #1 use of your budget. Nothing is as important as your ability to enjoy your day. My husband & I first met Kirsty when she planned our friend’s gorgeous wedding in 2019. We were SO impressed with her work and were super lucky to get her to plan our wedding too!
Our original date was set for 2021, but of course with COVID there ended up being lots of unexpected considerations, including making the decision to postpone until August 2022. Throughout the entire planning process and pandemic chaos, Kirsty was so warm, professional, communicative, reliable, considerate, intuitive, proactive, creative, fun, flexible, and frankly our steady rock.
Kirsty makes it a priority to first really understand the fundamental needs, personalities, and goals of each of her couples. She then uses this formulation to inform her work and guide couples in picking the best personalized options *for them* and their budget. Kirsty & LOLA clearly have tight relationships with the best vendors in Chicago, and she made selecting them a breeze. She stayed in constant contact with them, advocated on our behalf before we even needed to say anything, and somehow knew what we wanted more than we knew ourselves! Kirsty & and our vendor crew basically felt like the Avengers – they were such a strong, cohesive team with immense experience working in the industry and with each other, and we had 100% faith in their expertise.
Kirsty was also an expert at navigating the complicated aspects of a large multicultural (Indian-Italian) wedding. As a psychiatrist myself, we often joked that Kirsty must be secretly trained in family therapy! She was extremely interpersonally skilled at navigating our families’ different goals and expectations, while also ultimately prioritizing us as the couple. I was particularly impressed with her knowledge and experience with planning South Asian weddings and found that she actually knew way more details about them than I did! She clearly excels at inclusivity and cultural humility and I would trust her to plan any event amazingly.
Our wedding day itself ended up being truly stunning and magical, better than anything we could have possibly imagined. We had so much faith in Kirsty that we didn’t have to worry about a single detail that day – we just got to fully enjoy it. Hiring Kirsty Basch and LOLA were by far the BEST decision we made for our wedding, and if we could hire Kirsty to plan our entire life we would!!! -

Hire Kirsty & Lola Event Productions Immediately! Best decision.
Hiring Kirsty (& Lola Event Productions more generally) was hands down the best and easiest decision we made throughout all of our wedding planning. Truly, truly incredible. We said it. Our parents said it. Our guests said it. Kirsty & Lola are in a tier of wedding and event planning all their own. I now tell everyone immediately that the first and best thing they should invest in for their wedding is the planner. Pick the planner first, and pick Kirsty & Lola!
From our initial call we knew Kirsty was the perfect fit for us—her energy, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail were immediately apparent. Kirsty told us on the first call that part of her job is to make sure that planning and the wedding run smoothly—but also that even if something goes wrong, as it can with large events, we (the couple) will never know because it will already be handled. Kirsty and Lola executed on that promise perfectly. Our entire wedding weekend went off without a hitch (or the hitch was so well handled that we’ll never know about it, as promised!). Throughout the wedding planning process I felt sheepish at times talking to other brides who were so stressed—when they asked how planning was going for us I could only answer honestly: it was fun! Kirsty handled all the logistical parts of planning so that my (now wife) and I could enjoy the creative and personal aspects of planning.
Although we had a front row seat to Kirsty and Lola’s work throughout the whole process, it was conversations with our guests that really highlighted how lucky we were to have our entire vendor team: our guests told us that the weekend permeated a sense of calm, pure joy, and utter fun (in no short part because we the brides were able to be so calm and joyful because all the details were taken care of!). It's hard to capture everything we loved about Kirsty and Lola, but here are some of the highlights:
The details. My wife and I both have very hectic work and travel schedules, so the idea of managing the details of a wedding felt quite daunting at the beginning of the process. This is one of the major places Kirsty really showed her skills. Kirsty managed communications with vendors, kept all of our budgeting and contract details organized, tracked important dates and flagged anything for us that needed our immediate attention. It was an enormous weight off our shoulders to not feel like we had to be on top of all of the details--Kirsty had it handled. Kirsty's attention to detail also goes beyond just the logistics--Kirsty helped us understand all the different aspects of weddings and wedding planning, including things as granular as explaining possible approaches to our Head table. Kirsty was there for reassurance and understanding when various interpersonal items came up throughout the planning process, in addition to all the big-ticket formal planning to-dos.
The team. Every single one of our vendors was incredible, and they all came highly recommended and vetted by Kirsty and Lola. There's a huge market of vendors, so having a tailored understanding of who would be the best fit for us was so helpful. Kirsty's level of experience means that she can tell you, with personal examples, the differences among the vendors, etc. She was instrumental in putting together our full vendor team, and part of why the weekend was so magical is because everyone involved trusted each other and worked together well. Working with all the vendors was also made easier by the fact that Kirsty and Lola Event Pros have a stellar reputation--if vendors didn't already know that Kirsty was our planner, they became excited and relaxed as soon as we told them. They immediately knew who to talk to & that they wanted to work with us because the overall event planning was in good hands.
The communication. Throughout the entire planning process Kirsty was present and easy to reach any time we needed her. She checks in and is a clear and patient communicator. My work schedule can make me tough to reach, but Kirsty was able to prioritize items for me that needed my attention, and was patient with me when I was slower on other things! She is super easy and fun to talk to, which made every conversation a joy. And critically, Kirsty is also good at having tougher conversations with people if they need to happen. I can be a people pleaser, but Kirsty knew my goals, vision, and budget, and was able to gently step in for me if I was struggling to articulate what I needed in various meetings. I always felt comfortable telling her what I needed, and she is open-minded and flexible in a way that I know she would have adapted to whatever style I needed in approaching the planning process.
Inclusivity. As a queer and interracial couple, it was important to us that we work with a company and vendor team that values diversity and inclusion. Kirsty made us feel welcomed and valued from the start, and we never had to think about or worry about explaining bride-bride language to vendors, etc. We also asked Kirsty to help us find and prioritize diversity within our vendor teams, and she made that happen! More generally, it was clear to us throughout the whole process that Lola supports their clients and their organizational values--including diversity, inclusion, and beyond.
Day-of. So much of the planning process is, of course, the months leading up to the event--and those were all flawless. But perhaps most importantly, the wedding day itself ran like a well-oiled machine. Everyone knew where they needed to be and who the point people were--both I and my wife were completely relaxed because we knew the details were taken care of and that Kirsty would tell us anything we needed to know. Someone was with each of us every step of the way, and the vendors were also coordinated perfectly.
All this to say, although it's a cliche, our wedding weekend was truly one of the best weekends of our lives and that would not have been possible without Kirsty. I want to throw more events just so we can work with Kirsty again! Beyond being our planner, Kirsty became a trusted friend. Thank you, thank you, thank you--to Kirsty and to Lola Event Productions. -

Great experience
It's been 10 days since our daughter's wedding and every guest we talk to still starts with..." that was the best wedding I've ever been to". Lori helped us accomplished exactly what we had hoped, a memorable day for everyone without feeling like we had overdone it. She helped us focus on the right things. She saved us time as she recommended fabulous vendors based on our tastes and priorities and eliminated much of the research we would have done. She saved us money as she helped us think about what was the most impactful for our guests. She saved us aggravation as she took control of items that became challenging. she kept us organized and made decisions when needed and she let us enjoy the day by having it so well planned and taking full control on the day of the event. She and her team were professional throughout the process. Hiring Lola Event Productions was money and time very well spent!! -

Fantastic!
5 out of 5 stars isn’t enough! We worked with Kirsty Basch at Lola Event Productions for our wedding in June 2022 – and we absolutely could not have done it without her! When we started working with Kirsty we were living in Manhattan while trying to plan a wedding in Chicago. We were unfamiliar with Chicagoland venues and vendors and Kirsty helped us navigate everything with ease (or at least she makes it look like she does it with ease!). She narrowed down the vendors for us and offered recommendations and candid commentary where we were having trouble choosing between all the amazing options. We absolutely loved all our vendors – they were all fantastic people and experts at what they do- and they all had the most amazing things to say about Kirsty. I’m convinced they took us on as clients just for the opportunity to work with Kirsty again! Unlike some brides I didn’t have a picture perfect vision of what I wanted and I was able to trust Kirsty and all our vendors to read my mind and know what I wanted before I knew! We ended up moving to Chicago before the wedding and were able to spend some time with Kirsty at our final walkthroughs and meetings. Not only is she a fantastic wedding planner, shes also a phenomenal person. The morning of the wedding I realized my veil was lost and proceeded to freak out. Kirsty swooped in and found a backup veil in no time- I can’t even tell the difference when I look at the photos. Crisis Averted! Throughout the day everything ran so smoothly, Kirsty was there to walk me and my husband through anything and everything. We got so many compliments from guests on the wedding and how organized it all was. We couldn’t have pictured a more perfect wedding day- it was really everything we could have hoped for and more. Kirsty is the BEST Wedding Planner Ever!
I wish there was a 10,000 star rating on here. If there was, Kirsty Basch would get that a million times over. To say she is the best would not be doing her justice. We started working with Kirsty on our wedding planning back in March 2020. We originally had our wedding planned for July 2021 but pushed it to July 2022 because of Covid. Kirsty was a magical worker during that process. When we told her we were thinking of postponing, she got new dates and availability to us within a few hours. She basically picked up everything we had booked and moved it to the same weekend, a year later. She was seriously a miracle worker. The vendor team she put together for us was incredible. Everyone was so amazing and so fun to work with. She seriously put together our dream wedding. She answered all of our (my) crazy questions and was always able to read my mind and vision.
As for our wedding day, there were crazy storms in the morning and we were planning for an outdoor wedding. She made our Plan A happen, even though there were crazy storms still going around our venue the whole night. I swear she and the other vendor teams put out some storm net and physically pushed the storm away. Her and the vendor team worked at turbo speed the whole day and didn't show me or the groom any signs of stress or panic. They made us feel so calm, cool and collected the entire day.
If you are looking at other planners, this is your sign to stop. Hire Kirsty and she will plan you your dream wedding! When I was dreaming about my wedding as a kid, July 23rd, 2022 was exactly what I dreamed of. It makes me so sad that I have to write this review because that means the planning process is over. But, I know that I will still keep in touch with Kirsty and forever be grateful to her! Thank you for everything Kirsty! xoxox -

The (wo)Man, The Myth, The Legend—Carly C!
Our easiest and best decision was working with Carly C during our wedding planning process. We truly had no idea how many components went into planning a wedding! Carly led us through the entire process with ease and confidence. I’m not sure how many times I heard “it’ll be fiiiine” from her and it always was! I have to give full credit to her for my relaxed demeanor throughout the past year (especially on my wedding day); I know Carly had everything under control from start to finish. She’s attentive, available when you need her, organized, and incredibly professional. She’s great at anticipating needs and kept us on track with our deadlines which was necessary with our busy work schedules. Look no further than Michelle at LOLA... seriously
This review is going to be long, so if you want the short version, RUN don’t walk to Michelle Kurinec with LOLA Event Productions. It will be the single best decision you make for your wedding. When my fiancé and I got engaged, I saw hiring a wedding planner as a splurge for myself. I love to plan things and am pretty type A, so everyone assured me I could just do it all myself. But, I really enjoy planning with someone, especially with an expert in their field, so I really decided to move forward with getting a planner just to fully enjoy the experience. What I quickly learned was that getting a planner (the right one) was not a luxury or a splurge, but a necessity. My fiancé and I got engaged in May of 2020, so COVID was in full swing and we decided to have our wedding at a distant date to hopefully allow some return to “normal”. So, Michelle worked with us for over 2 years to deliver the perfect wedding. In those 2 years we navigated various travel restrictions, changing guidelines, etc. We also live in California so we were planning at a distance. Michelle took the less than ideal circumstances of planning during a pandemic and brought a high level of flexibility and professionalism, from personalized virtual tours of venues of interest to several extremely helpful video calls with not only my fiancé and myself but also my parents. Remember, none of us have done a pandemic before, but you’d never have known that when working with Michelle. You would think that the long distance planning and COVID era would be the primary drivers behind why I say Michelle’s services were a necessity. Not the case. Regardless of where you live and whether you are grappling with “unprecedented times”, Michelle brings a huge wealth of knowledge, experience, and respect in the field that is priceless for planning a wedding. Before jumping into planning, I had an idea of venues I was interested in. When making the final decision of which planner to go with, I contacted the venues directly, and they emphatically recommended LOLA and Michelle. This trend continued throughout the process. I ended up with the absolute perfect vendor team for me thanks to Michelle’s guidance. And they were fully on board and excited to work with us because they knew we were working with Michelle. Over the 2 years of working with Michelle, she patiently and receptively listened to any idea or inspiration I had. She took the time to learn who I was and who my fiancé was, and worked to merge our two styles together. My dad was very involved in the process, and she did a great job of involving him but also putting up boundaries when needed if it didn’t go with our vision for the day as a couple. She will make sure you are always informed in all decisions, bringing up potential barriers or considerations that we would have never known about had it not been for her. I have never been so happy for someone to tell me “no”. She is direct while also being kind and genuine. She is not only the perfect planner, but an all-around fantastic human being that we feel privileged that we had the opportunity to get to know. With that 2 years of lead up, I was very nervous about the day not living up to my expectations. I’m a dreamer and am notorious for building things up in my head. So many times, I’ve heard people say that they just had to “get through the wedding’ or “it went by so fast we didn’t even get to enjoy it”. None of these fears were realized for us. The wedding was virtually stress free, the ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour truly exceeded my expectations (which again, were HIGH), and I was able to enjoy every minute. Do I wish that day could’ve been played on repeat, yes. But never did I feel I wasn’t able to fully live in the moment and enjoy it. The saddest part of the day coming to an end was saying goodbye to Michelle. She is a professional, resident expert, and wonderful person at every level. Wedding planning went from a splurge to a necessity to the best money spent. Okay, so if you’ve made it this far, stop reading reviews and just get Michelle as your planner as soon as you can. You won’t regret it, and trust me, you’ll want as much time with her as you can get! -

Lori the Wedding Wizard from Lola Event Productions
After getting engaged in the December of 2019, Brian and I decided to wait a few months to plan a wedding. Shortly after, the pandemic hit and planning a wedding seemed like something we should just hold off on. Finally, in January of 2021, with the pandemic still in full force I decided to investigate wedding planners who could help us navigate the ever-changing situation of the pandemic.
When I spoke to Lori from Lola Event Productions, I was immediately drawn to her fun personality and her calm demeaner. I felt like she was someone we could work with. We waited a few months and ultimately decided to hire Lori to execute our entire wedding in August of 2021. What Lori brought to the table was as follows: a plethora of knowledge on anything related to a Chicago wedding including a vetted list of vendors from venue options, to caterers, to photographers and videographers, to DJs, florists, and invitation and printing gurus. Yet while her rolodex of vendors saved us hours of research because we signed with people she had worked with and trusted, Lori’s greatest asset was her ability to connect with us both as a couple and as individuals. She understood who we were as people and what we wanted in a wedding. She executed our wedding vision that was less traditional and combined a more relaxed/casual atmosphere with the sophistication of high-end food and drinks. She designed the reception and décor to cater to my desire for vibrant colors of oranges, reds, yellows, and blues. She provided Brian with the organizational structures of timelines, lists and details so that everything for the day was mapped out and we could have a great time.
Since our wedding this past weekend on July 16th, 2022, people have been commenting on how cool and fun the day was. Family and friends have said they enjoyed the “non-assigned” table seating and the ability to eat, drink, mingle and dance with so many different people. However, what resonates with me the most is guests said, “this wedding felt so much like a representation of you and Brian.” I credit Lori and Lola Event Productions for that.

Amazing event planner
We hired Lori to plan our daughters wedding, which due to Covid related cancellations and reschedules finally happened in June 2022. Lori is really good at what she does. This is the first event we’ve hosted where I was able to spend all my time the day of the event enjoying the moment. We’ve used planners in the past and there is no comparison. I expected her to handle things like table and limo mixups - stuff like that happens. But she went above and beyond planning this wedding multiple times, guiding us through emotions and around potholes we had no clue were even there, and I’m sure won’t quit until all the loose ends are resolved. I can’t imagine having another event without her by our side. Lori - thank you so much for helping us make this perfect wedding a reality! -

The best Chicago wedding planner ever - Lola Event Productions & Carly Carynski
Carly Carynski is the best wedding planner ever! She planned our entire wedding, but we wanted to her to be a guest and have fun at the actual wedding, so we also worked with Angela Chereso at Lola who was our amazing day of wedding planner. Both Angela and Carly are truly fantastic, and we would recommend them to anyone!

Not only is Carly an upbeat, positive, and organized person, she is extremely professional and gets the job done. She worked with us from day one when it came to finding our venue to suggesting the best vendors to the decor process to the wedding weekend planning and everything in between. She is detail oriented, very responsive to emails, and anticipates your needs in advance. She is always thinking ahead about the next areas that need to be accomplished. Carly's expertise having done many successful weddings was very valuable during the process. She kept us on track with deadlines, knew when to give her opinion and could offer advice when we didn’t know the answer. She’s a great communicator and committed to making your wedding as stress free and as perfect as possible.
Our guests and our bridal party commented on how the logistics ran so smoothly. Carly's timeline set in advance of the weekend was a life saver. Everyone in the wedding party new exactly where they needed to be and was thankful for the organized information. We could not have thought of every scheduling detail without Carly’s help and expertise.

Angela Chereso was our fantastic day of wedding planner. She was involved in the timeline process, ran an amazing rehearsal walk through and facilitated the day of wedding. Angela is professional, calm, honest and a great listener. During the day of, she was responsive, kept us on track and was flexible when needed. She was well organized and knew exactly where everyone needed to be to run a successful ceremony, dinner, and reception. She kept our wedding party, families, and vendors on time and on track. Amazing Wedding Planners!
Lola Event Productions is amazing. We feel so lucky to have worked with them!!! Our wedding was June 11, 2022 which is in the middle of probably the craziest wedding season we've ever seen and you could not tell that Lori and Sanja had been working like crazy. Our wedding was always important to them and they continued to keep their fast-paced, energetic, and detail-oriented work style in place from beginning to end. Lori has SO much experience and it shows. She has basically seen it all which is such a treat. I felt confident in Lori and Sanja from the first meeting that was so detailed and I knew they could problem solve any issue. The biggest thing with a wedding is that things are always going to go "wrong" and as the bride you are way too busy to deal with anything. Sanja and Lori had everything under control from start to finish and knew when to come to me with questions and when not to which is honestly the hardest skill to learn. They are SO PROFESSIONAL and SO KIND. They both have exceptional taste and high standards. We are so grateful to have them. They were always invested in us as a couple and in our events and demonstrated so much passion and energy which really showed through for our life-changing wedding! They both contributed so much positivity and loving energy to the event and to both my now husband and me. I know we will stay in touch with them for years to come. Lori even walked around to every single table, every single table setting, every candle etc, and made sure each detail was in place while Sanja was literally running around everywhere making sure all the vendors were in place and each task was taken care of. Both of our families commented on how Sanja and Lori were always in control and dealt with any issue before it became a problem. They are consistently anticipating the next 3 steps which is an invaluable skill. I have been to family weddings where I had to tell the wedding planner what to do - there was NONE of that at this wedding. Sanja was with me in the bridal suite and was always giving me water, making sure I ate, and overall just being the best cheerleader and hype woman. Working with a woman-led and owned business that is the BEST in the industry is a beautiful experience that I will always remember. Best planners in town!
We worked with Carly as our wedding planner. Immediately leaving the Lola office on our initial meet and greet my fiancé and I looked at one another and said "We're hiring her!" During this meeting Carly seemed so excited about the whole process, and you could truly tell she loves her job. Carly was always there for us; answering any questions we had and setting up meetings with the best vendors in the industry from start to finish. She took all of our visions and made them come to life, and it truly turned out better then i could have imagined! We got married about a month ago, and I'm still obsessing over how well everything turned out. We could not have done this without Carly! -

Carly is the best!
Out of all our wedding decisions, working with Carly from Lola was our best! We happened to meet her while she was working on another wedding during our venue tour and we were immediately sold. She has such a personable and professional demeanor. You can tell she really loves her job. Leading up to the wedding, Carly made sure we stayed on track and communicated with vendors to ensure the same. She was always available when we had questions or needed her opinion. When wedding day came, everything went off without a hitch! My husband and I were able to relax the whole day and didn't worry about a thing. We knew we were in good hands! Lori Helps Make Wedding Dreams a Reality
Lori at Lola Event Productions has been nothing less than incredible throughout the whole wedding planning process. We wanted someone who would work with us to push creative boundaries and give us a truly unique and colorful wedding. Lori was more than capable of taking up the challenge! She worked flawlessly to find us all the vendors we needed, speaking candidly about what was necessary vs. what wasn't, and made sure that all the vendors we worked with kept our goals in mind when carrying out their responsibilities. In all the planning and re-planning that went on, we could NOT have done this without Lori! Simply the Best Wedding Planner
We used Lori and Lola Event Productions for our wedding. Lori helped us have the wedding of our dreams. She thought of everything, was responsive, and helped choose terrific vendors and venue. One for the Century
Lola Event Productions
I needed to let the world know that there is not a better event planning company anywhere. We were involved with Lola Event Productions (Chicago)for my daughters wedding. I knew this wedding would be special but that word doesn’t describe the final outcome. Like many, we started this adventure not being able to foresee what 2020 was about to hand all of us.
With all contracts and visions in place the wedding world came to an abrupt halt. When panic could have easily set in Kirsty Basch from Lola was just as cool and calm as if this was an everyday event.
Kirsty took more phone calls from this mom and ran with the craziest ideas with the appearance of such ease. When I say crazy idea I mean the craziest; she seamlessly moved our 300 person event out of the city of Chicago to a private country club, secured all vendors for the new location. She choreographed the building of a 10,000sq ft venue, the installation of the “cave of lights” that had too many lights to count, the coordination of 30,000 floral pieces, secured a special guest performance by Kellie Pickler, had a baby, moved into her new home, and so many other details I haven’t the space to list them.
Needless to say, we felt that Kirsty was outstanding and exceeded any expectations we could have had. Her expertise with vendors is exquisite. Her attention to detail is impeccable. If you are in the need of an event planner LOLA is your place and Kirsty Basch is you girl. We love you Kirsty. Miss you already.

Great Experience
We chose to work with Kirsty at Lola in 2019. During that time, we didn't think we'd be able to navigate the wedding world and stay organized. Through the first year or so of planning, Kirsty was incredibly helpful and kept us at ease when we were worried we weren't doing things when we needed.
This was all before the events of 2020 when Kirsty wowed us. The weeks around our original wedding, scheduled for April 2020, were obviously incredibly stressful and even though I have to imagine Kirsty felt similarly, she never showed it. She was poised and communicative and helped us work through something that nobody had ever been through.
This all led to the evening we dreamed of in October 2021. Everything came together so perfectly and looked incredible, all thanks to Kirsty's guidance and constant suggestions. We would wholeheartedly recommend Kirsty to anyone planning a wedding. -

Words cannot even express the gratitude we have for Kristy Diana and LOLA Event Productions. We knew from the first consultation that we found our perfect planning service. The owner, Lori, spent a great deal of time getting to know us and our ideas for a wedding. She then set us up with the planner who would best fit our needs, and she was spot on with Kristy! She was so unbelievably organized and efficient that it was all a seamless process. Kristy literally made planning our wedding the least stressful event possible. We learned early on to just trust her with the process and she delivered at every single step of the way. The wedding was more beautiful than we even imagined. If I could give a million stars, I would! The best thing that, my now-husband, and I did while wedding planning was hiring Lola Event Productions. Carly C is an amazing person from top to bottom and was a godsend during the pandemic helping us reschedule our wedding, like so many other couples. We decided to postpone our wedding from 9/5/20 to 9/4/21 pretty early on (April 2020) so it was pretty new territory for all vendors, but Carly handled it with complete calmness and grace.
She was able to keep me organized throughout the process and never missed a beat with any deadline, and was always there for any help or advice that was needed. Her expertise was incredibly valuable, especially her hard work with the timeline of the entire wedding day. The timeline was so key for the day to run smoothly, and she nailed it! It was finalized at least a week before our wedding day, and I was able to send it to all of our wedding party so they knew where to be and when. Everyone thanked us for the information and our bridal party said they had never been a part of a wedding so well-timed and thought out… all thanks to Carly!
The day of, my nerves were through the roof with anticipation and I truly didn’t feel calm until Carly and her team arrived. Her cool and collected demeanor helped me keep it together throughout the day. We had a few last-minute drops due to a guest’s family emergency, and Carly went into action to rearrange table seating and table layout so there weren’t only two people left at the original table. Even though I was aware of the issue, before I could fret, Carly had it fixed and informed the guests of the table change.
We are now 10 days post-wedding, and Chris and I both agree that the best thing we did was hire Carly with Lola Event Productions. I would recommend them over and over again because, without Carly, I don’t know how I could have done it. Truly the best spent money in our budget. For all couples on the fence about hiring, do it! You truly won’t regret it! -

Don't Search Further!
I don’t think my husband and I would be able to pull off our wedding without Carly C! We had our original wedding date of April 2020 however right at our walk through (4 weeks prior), COVID was at full force and the shutdown occurred.
This was unknown territories for us all of us but Carly never lost her footing rather lead us and the rest of the wedding vendors with confidence, optimism, and persistence. NOTHING phased Carly- she quickly worked to communicate and coordinate with our vendors through the 3 rescheduled dates and answer all of my emails in timely manner. There was never a question that felt like it was a bother to Carly- from how many cocktail napkins should I order to what is limo size we should get? We knew that Carly C was determined as us to make sure we had the day we envisioned--- she advocated for us when we felt uneasy as well as provided insightful feedback on certain aspects of the wedding! I can truly say Carly C is not just a wedding planner/coordinator, she becomes your friend through this entire and often stressful process.
You will not regret having Carly C be the head of your wedding dream team. She will lead and execute a stellar event that your friends and family can't stop talking about! Carly C will provide you with a detailed timeline with pertinent details and create a condensed version for your family and wedding party—this was so helpful for everyone involved. It kept me from answering questions leading up to the wedding day- taking away one layer of stress!
Additionally, Carly C and her lovely assistant (Hayley M) was with us through the whole day! We loved having this support to gently remind us if we were slowly falling behind schedule or step in when needed (finding a vase for my bouquet before the ceremony so it wouldn’t wilt). I can’t say enough for how grateful and appreciative we are of Carly C and how committed she is to making sure you love your wedding day! Thank you, Carly!

Choosing Lori to be our wedding planner was the best wedding decision we made by far. Lori at LOLA is truly the best. Perfection
From the first conversation we had with Kirsty B from LOLA over the phone, we knew immediately that we didn't just need a wedding planner/coordinator - we needed Kirsty B specifically. My husband and I are both organized people, so our original thought was we just needed a task master to keep us on track. We quickly learned coordinators, especially Kirsty, are so much more than that!! She is beyond organized, listens and executes on your vision exactly, offers the perfect enhancements, keeps you on budget, makes the process fun, and frankly is just a cool person to get to spend time with. Even before the pandemic hit, we knew Kirsty was the best decision we had made for our wedding. She narrowed down the crazy amount of Chicago vendors to ones that fit our budget and vision, helped us prioritize the big items to feel accomplished right away, and offered candid professional feedback to help the process. Once the pandemic hit, we learned quickly we wouldn't have any hair left after wedding date changing madness without her. She added on the role of therapist, city mandate fortune teller, and bride and groom cheerleader. On the actual day - in-between constant compliments from literally everyone from our parents, wedding party, and guests - Kirsty covered everything from pulling my heels out of the ground cover to making sure we had chances to eat, and kept literally everything on time and going so smoothly. We could go on for days about what a great person and planner Kirsty B is, so just trust us and hire LOLA and Kirsty B as fast as you can after you get engaged. -

Don't even think twice about going with LOLA
I am Taiwanese and my husband is Indian. We wanted to throw a Friday welcome party/lady sangeet and a Saturday modified Hindu wedding ceremony with a traditional Western reception. We wanted to hire a wedding planner and decided to go with Lori and LOLA based on the reviews we had read. Aside from deciding to get married, this was the best decision we had ever made. There were a few challenging aspects of our wedding planning process that Lori helped us navigate seamlessly.
1. I was more involved in the wedding planning process than my husband; however, I knew nothing about the Hindu wedding traditions and my husband didn't know much either. Lori was so well versed with the traditional aspects of the ceremony that she knew to ask all the right questions that would have otherwise been overlooked. For example, when searching for venue locations, she let me know that a traditional Hindu ceremony includes a fire and the venue would need to be able to accommodate this (so the public library I liked was off the table).
2. My husband lives in St. Louis and I live in Florida. As if planning a wedding was not hard enough, planning one in a state that neither of us live in was even harder. Lori was able to help us plan our dream wedding with only 2-3 trips to Chicago. I remember 2 months prior to the wedding, I was able to take one weekday off from work and I told Lori that I could come into town to handle the last bits of wedding planning (food tasting, florals, etc.). She scheduled a whirlwind day where I met with all the vendors and got everything taken care of.
3. My husband and I are both surgical residents with hectic work schedules and not a lot of free time. Lori understood this and knew exactly how to make the most of our time when we were able to talk. She would keep the meetings short and to the point, and never gave us too many decisions to make at once as to not overwhelm us.
4. Our wedding was supposed to happen during the pandemic, but had to be postponed. Within a week after we made the official decision to postpone, Lori had secured us another date that all of our vendors for both our Friday and Saturday events were available for (venue, decor, floral, DJ, photography, videography, hair and makeup). I cannot even imagine what we would have done in this unique situation if we did not have Lori.
There are so many more wonderful things about Lori and how good she is at her job that this post can go on and on and on. I cannot recommend her and her team enough. She not only helped us plan our dream wedding, but brought it to life even better than how we imaged in all while being in the middle of a pandemic.

LOLA wedding planner is a MUST!
It's been almost a month since our wedding and I've been waiting to write this review to give it the proper attention that it deserves. Wow, where do I even begin? Carly C. with LOLA Event Productions far exceeded my expectations beyond belief! Being in sales event planning myself, I didn't think that I needed a wedding planner but was persuaded by my mom whose friend also booked Carly for a wedding in Chicago and she had rave reviews. All I can say is I am beyond thankful that I locked Carly in pre-pandemic as she was with us the entire postponement journey.
Carly played many roles in our wedding planning process: teacher, friend, expert, family mediator (lol) and a true industry professional. Carly gave the perfect balance of empathy and action when we knew our fate and that our 8/15/20 wedding wasn't going to happen. Our venue went completely dark, our florist closed up shop yet Carly proceeded on quickly and efficiently to secure not only our new Saturday date with every vendor lining up, but also an entirely new venue for our 6/26/21 wedding. Carly used her industry relationships to contract us with a new florist within our price point, mirroring the first contract we had and loved. Not only did Carly personally reach out to each vendor for updated contracts and info, Carly also kept us aware of the city guidelines/updates throughout covid as they were ever-changing and hard to follow. It gave us a sense of peace knowing that Carly had the most up to date info for capacity restrictions and anything else relevant to our wedding ceremony (in the church) and reception.
Timing was on our side and we were able to have our dream wedding with 245 guests! Without Carly, I truly don't think I would have had the motivation to continue to plan my wedding a second time and I will be forever grateful for her optimism and actions. I will always appreciate the email reminders, phone calls, timeline, checklists etc. that Carly provided us. For someone who thought she was organized, I am now humbled after working with Carly! Carly is always 2 steps ahead and never skips over one detail, no matter how small it is. My favorite thing about Carly is that she works unbiased and I'd have to ask her point blank, "If you were me, what would you do?" and I would get an honest and direct answer. This was super helpful for me when making decisions the second time around. 6/26/21 was the best day ever for us and all of our family and friends and I attribute SO much of this to Carly and the LOLA team. I could go on and on but I hope this review helps other brides on the fence (covid or no covid) to invest in LOLA's services. The first thing I say to anyone recently engaged is how important this is! Thank you SO much Carly C. and team at LOLA for sticking with us and making our wedding the best day ever! -

We worked with Carly C. for our wedding on 5/29/21 and she was absolutely incredible!!
I was referred to LOLA by one of my best friends who hired them for her wedding a few years ago. From the beginning, everyone was super friendly and easy to work with. Having an event industry background, I decided to go with the Last Minute LOLA package, but Carly really did SO much for more us.
We were supposed to get married in July 2020, but due to the pandemic, had to postpone like many other couples. We had just had our first call with Carly the week before postponing, and after a tearful phone call from me, she jumped right in and contacted all of our vendors, making the process run SO smooth and removing so much stress from Nate and I. We then ended up moving our wedding again from the city of Chicago to a venue in Wisconsin - 2 months out (!) - and Carly was able to work with us to make this transition and seamlessly coordinate with all of our vendors.
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and having Carly there to run the wedding day logistics (plus so much more) is something I would recommend to every bride!! We can't thank Carly enough for all of the time, effort and hard work that she put into our wedding day. Any couple would be beyond lucky to work with her, we are so grateful!! -

Bottom Line, Use Lola (Michelle!)
Planner
If you don’t believe a wedding planner is necessary (especially in the Chicago area), cost saving, or relationship preserving, think again! I vetted three of the city’s most recommended wedding planning companies via The Knot, Bride Magazine, personal endorsement and phone conversation because the right fit for us was the most important thing. Lori Stephenson, Lola Event Pros owner, happily gave me (MOB) a solid hour of her time discussing the event planning process, how a planner helps, and creates a more peaceful wedding weekend. All new things to us. She encouraged the future bride and groom to review each Lola professional’s profile to get a feel for their personality and set an in-person meeting with the planner (remember when we did those things pre-Covid) who most fit their vibe.
They picked Michelle Kurinec and never looked back! Actually, we cancelled meetings for later in the week when I asked them, “Do you think we should keep looking?” “NO!”
(Please also note, Covid became a thing within the first 8 weeks of contracting her).
You can not, will not find someone more composed, creative, knowledgeable, energetic and funny in times of stress than Michelle. Michelle handled all things with grace and I never wish to receive another text from her asking, “Can you talk?” unless it’s for something fun.
Collectively, everyone went through the ringer planning our special day no less than ten different ways. No one thought Covid would linger as long or affect life the way it did. From guest count, decor and limited seats per table, no dance floor or mingling, masks, etc. to a virtually normal (with about four day’s notice) 85 person dance party extravaganza in honor of Amanda and Adam. Michelle and the vendors she helped us choose made our day truly magical!
When you only have 85 family and close friends participating in the day, you notice everyone. Before the end of the evening everyone knew Michelle, “Who is the blur in the black dress?”, and told us what an incredible feat she handled.
We never once considered postponing and we are so happy we did not. It was a first in fourteen months of many’s that day!
Bottom line, hire Lola Event Pros and more specifically the incredibly capable Michelle! She began as our pivot professional, wedding planner extraordinaire who turned into a wonderful friend. Hugs all around! -

Wedding Journey Bliss with LOLA
My husband and I were living in Seattle when we got engaged but decided to have our wedding in Chicago April 2021. At first, I was uncertain about hiring a wedding coordinator but quickly realized after we picked the DJ, photographer, and stationary on Minted that I needed help with the rest of the many wedding tasks. After combing through Wedding Wire, I found LOLA Event Productions who were not charging a fortune and had customizable packages. Most packages included unlimited emails which was essential given the fact that I was planning out of state. I was surprised to find that some companies charged extra for all emails outside of the initial planning meeting! I chose the Little Bit of LOLA/Partial Planning package. After submitting my initial information, I was luckily paired with Carly Carynski who had previously coordinated a wedding at the Chicago Athletic Association. From our initial emails/virtual meeting in August until the wedding day in April, she was beyond incredible. Even with the uncertainty and complications of the pandemic, Carly kept everything (and everyone) organized. She was patient, professional, detail oriented and positive. She made planning a wedding during a difficult time in the world feel easy and enjoyable. At moments along the way she gave me space and time to complete tasks between my long hours at work, and at others, she provided a generous amount of hand holding. The vendor suggestions were perfect and saved me the headache of many long internet searches and virtual vendor meetings. The day of the wedding, she kept us calm and present, and the LOLA emergency kit was a life saver. She was not only the wedding coordinator but even stepped in to help with boutonnières and assisting our photographer (Mirek Pomian) with some incredible shots! I would not have been able to enjoy the wedding without knowing all the small details were going to be taken care of and our wedding would not have been as amazing without her. I am so grateful to have found LOLA and Carly C, thank you so very much for being part of our new beginning!

Review of Lola Event Productions/ Lori Stephenson
I am a 2021 bride who just got married, and I would like to start by saying if you don’t hire Lori and Lola Event Productions, it will truly be the biggest mistake of your wedding. To say Lori is magnificent doesn’t do it justice. Lori is exactly who you want with you on your wedding day and throughout the planning process. Lori is a joy to work with. Her smile and laugh are contagious. She puts everyone at ease and this is especially important when you have tense/anxious family members. Lori is beyond organized and knows the best people to work with in the industry. Lori remembers every single last details and executes everything flawlessly. I got married during covid and completely switched venues etc. The change between venues could not have been easier, and this was entirely a result of Lori’s hard work. Lori takes the stress out of stressful situations. Lori worked tirelessly to ensure my wedding was perfect. She absolutely loves what she does and it shows. Lori is incredible. She did everything from plan my decor (which was breathtaking) to bustle my dress for the reception. I am beyond grateful to Lori and the Lola team for planning and executing on the best day of my life.

Amazing experience!

Awesome experience planning on a quick timeline!

Indispensable and worthy of all praises
Hiring Michelle from LOLA Event Productions was hands-down the best decision of my wedding planning journey. I'd never been to a wedding in my life and was apprehensive about planning my own with no benchmarks for what to expect. Michelle was there from Day One, telling me of my options on everything from place card table decor to photo booth placement. Michelle steered my fiance and I through all the planning decisions, always sympathetic and without any judgement. I had a vague idea of what I envisioned my wedding day to be and again Michelle stepped in, took my disjointed ideas and suggested centerpieces and aisle decors that were completely in line with my vision. She also recommended great vendors to us who fit our vision and worked with our budget.
Then COVID-19 hit and these recommendations became more key as we scrambled to forge a path forward. As a May 2020 bride, we decided in March to reschedule everything to December 2020. I live in London and reshuffling everything two months before the day of from abroad would have been impossible without Michelle. She was our rock amidst this pandemic storm and quickly got in touch with all our vendors, put together a list of potential dates with our vendors' availability and forwarded us any contract amendments needed. Then again, when we decided to pull the plug and cancel the wedding outright in July, Michelle helped us get in touch with all our vendors and organize all the contract cancellation terms in one email for us to digest. I cannot speak highly enough of Michelle; her organizational skills, empathy and creativeness were key assets for my wedding planning and smoothed the entire process down. Thank you Michelle, you've been absolutely wonderful! -

Crazy fast surprise!!
I really can't say enough good things about Lori and Lola Event Productions. We were scheduled to get married in October. With Covid and the uncertainty of that date we decided to have a surprise wedding at my, now wife's, family lake house. We only had a couple of weeks to plan and figure everything out. Having Lori on our team made a huge part of this mindless and easy. My Bride was stressing about a new dress and other details... meanwhile we didn't have to stress or even think about the ceremony and what Lori would be doing. We pulled off the surprise and our ceremony was amazing! Lori handled the announcement and getting everyone's attention. We then had the most beautiful ceremony. Thanks to Lori's attention to detail with questionnaires and what not the ceremony was amazing! I can't wait to use Zola Event Productions for our big party next year! Amazing Chicago Wedding Planner!
I can’t say enough about how great it was to work with Lori on our surprise July 4th wedding. We had planned to get married in October of this year, but like many other brides and grooms we were forced to reschedule. Waiting till next year to officially tie the knot was not something we wanted to do, so we reached out to Lori to help us plan our small surprise wedding at my family Lakehouse. It was so helpful to have an expert to help navigate the many questions and thoughts we had regarding the rescheduling. Lori was patient with me and answered every question I had and helped me work through some last minute issues that arose the day before our wedding. Having to plan a wedding is a unique experience already but having to rescheduling a wedding during a pandemic is something that no one has had any experience with, but LORI handled it like she had been rescheduling weddings for years. Small & Simple Magic
My now-husband and I became engaged in March of last year and had decided we wanted something small, simple, and soon. With a date for July 26th set in stone, we knew we needed to act fast. We had a few ideas in mind, but we still needed a little more direction in getting things finalized and setting a schedule set in stone for the big weekend. Enter Lola Event Pros! Lori couldn't have been any more helpful than she was in the few months leading up to our big day. Since we wanted to have the ceremony at Montrose Harbor, we also had to find an ordained minister who could meet us at the park. Lo and behold, Lori is also licensed in the state of Illinois and she graciously accepted our invitation to marry us.
Lori was of tremendous help in guiding us in our decision-making and making sure that everything went smoothly on the day of our ceremony. I always imagined wedding planners to be these master planners who made a huge magical day happen, but Lori was so instrumental in making our small and simple wedding a day to truly remember. I can't suggest Lori enough if you're looking to have something small and simple yet still amazing and a day to remember. -

Lola review
Words cannot do justice to the next level of amazing that is Lori Stephenson. She is truly the best there is. She is a superhero minus the cape plus a fanny pack who is able to turn any girls dream wedding into a reality. I remember when we (my mom and I - who are we kidding, it was our wedding) first spoke to Lori, we had a gut feeling she was the one. We knew instantly we would be in the right hands. My mom and I are not always the easiest duo to manage and we have opinions on everything, and Lori managed it (read: us) flawlessly. She has a masters in Managing MOB. She has a way of getting everything in your to do list done, from the little details to the big picture theme, while keeping everyone around her calm and carrying on. The best wedding planner in Chicago!
If you’re newly engaged and looking for a planner... stop everything and hire Kristy Diana from Lola Event Productions. This was hands down the best decision I made, outside of saying yes to the proposal!
As someone who was new to Chicago and unfamiliar with the wedding scene, Kristy quickly put me at east with her calm demeanor, 12+ years of planning experience and massive rolodex to match. She custom built a plan and budget based on my specific needs, so I never felt that she was taking a cookie cutter approach. She is well connected and respected in the industry; everyone loves working with her. This made me feel confident that at the end of the day, I was getting the best deal and treatment possible.
On the wedding day, Kristy and her associate Fernando worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make everything run absolutely smoothly; anticipating needs at every turn so that we could sit back and truly enjoy our day.
As the saying goes, "you are only as good as the people who you surround yourself with" - and this couldn't be more true in our case! Kristy is an amazing planner and is an even more amazing person who we hope will be forever in our lives! -

Carly C from LOLA crushed it! She was personable, detail-oriented, and hard-working. Most of all, she listened to us. She picked up on what was important to us and made those things a priority. She understood our vision, which we didn’t always articulate the best, and made the real-life event perfect. She suggested vendors that she knew would work well with our personalities and would deliver an exceptional result for the type of event we wanted. We received positive and enthusiastic feedback from all of our guests in the days that followed our wedding, and it was totally apparent to us how much of the success of our wedding was directly attributable to Carly and her hard work.
We decided to hire a planner as we knew we needed someone’s help to make a wedding happen with our busy schedules. We couldn’t have dreamed of how great that choice would be. Impeccable Service
Kristy created a seamless fairytale wedding for my husband and I. We planned our wedding from out of state and could not have pulled it off without her. She was incredibly organized, has an eye for beautiful decor and was comforting and calm throughout the ENTIRE wedding planning process. Kirsty Basch and LOLA are incredible!
Our wedding would not have been possible without LOLA and our phenomenal planner, Kirsty Basch. She is one of the most dependable, on-top-of-it people we have ever met, from responding to emails, keeping us on track in terms of timeline, organizing and being aware of each detail, she made the whole process of planning feel seamless. Everything happened with as little stress (and as much fun!) as we could have imagined.
In the midst of our busy lives, Kirsty made every decision feel possible and easy, finding ways to consider both budget and make the wedding of our dreams a reality. She recommended phenomenal vendors, who we likely wouldn’t have found ourselves. They were joys to work with and so professional, but also lovely people!
The wedding day itself went by so smoothly and we were able to just be present and enjoy ourselves without having to worry about anything. A week before the wedding, we asked Kirsty “what happens if anything goes wrong?” to which she replied “you won’t even know about it!”. Everything was planned and executed perfectly so nothing went wrong (that we know of at least :)), and we felt assured that she was on top of everything.
We cannot recommend Kirsty enough. She genuinely cares about the people she works with and is amazing at what she does. We feel lucky to have had her on our team throughout this long but incredible process to make our perfect wedding. -

Wonderful experience with Carly C!
Carly Carynski was amazing to work with! As I work in the events industry, I thought I had everything together, but boy was I glad to have her! I couldn't imagine things going any smoother and that had so much to do with Carly and her team! It was so nice to have her at the venue and her intern with us to make sure everything was going as planned. She was very detail-oriented and had wonderful advice. Meeting with her really was calming as I felt so comfortable knowing that everything would be okay and I didn't have to worry! She wanted to make it as easy as possible for me leading up to the wedding and the day of, which is exactly what I wanted. She even took all of the items we needed for the day of at the rehearsal and brought them to the ceremony & reception. Hire the best wedding planner
I don't know how we would have pulled all of this off without Lori and LOLA. Everything went off without a hitch. Full disclosure, I was not 100% sold that we needed an event planner when we started the process. But I learned quickly that it was more than worth the price. For the months leading up to the event we had regular calls that kept us all on track, especially challenging with everyone spread across the country. And then on the actual day of the wedding I swear there were 4 clones of Lori. She was everywhere. And the few minor questions that came up were resolved immediately, without any stress. Can't say enough good things about Lori and LOLA -

The most amazing wedding planner!
We wanted to say a huge thank you for everything Lola events, and in particular everything our wedding planner Kirstin did for us.
Organising a wedding in Chicago whilst living in England was such a daunting task for us.
From day one Kirstin was friendly, organised and always responded to our emails. She didn't miss a single detail throughout the planning process and her local knowledge and vendor experience made the planning process easy!
The wedding day itself flowed perfectly. Kirstin's level of preparation and organisation meant that we could relax and enjoy the day!
At every moment I felt that you and your team took care of us so so well! The attention to detail (such as the hors d’oeuvres and wedding cake in our room) created magical moments that we will always cherish!
Overall Sohail and I had the most perfect wedding day! Our friends and family had an absolute ball and everyone keeps messaging us saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been too (and the most well organised!)

Best decision ever!
Kristy Diana at LOLA Event Productions singlehandedly made our wedding day the best day of our lives! It's difficult to express the gratitude my husband and I have for all Kristy did for us both before the wedding and on the day. We had the "Last Minute LOLA" package (aka day-of coordination), but it's NOT just "day-of." We began closely working with Kristy in the couple months leading up to the wedding to create our timeline, coordinate with our other vendors, and wrap up final details. We also hired Kristy to do our floral and venue decor and the results were above and beyond what I had envisioned (and I was pretty picky about what I wanted!).
Communication with Kristy was completely seamless; she made the process so easy, and she's the kind of person that gets along with everyone. As a former event planner, I had high expectations for the day and thought I would have trouble handing the reigns to someone else. Kristy was so amazing throughout the planning process that on the day, I had zero stress and complete confidence that Kristy and her team would orchestrate the event flawlessly. Kristy thought of every detail, was extremely organized, and kept me calm throughout the entire thing (which is a feat in itself).
Even for their most light-touch services, what LOLA does for their clients is priceless. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, I lost count of how many times I answered questions about tasks from family and friends with "Kristy is going to take care of that!" Kristy is an actual goddess super-hero with the scope of things she handled for us, and a real-life Mary Poppins with the emergency kit she had on hand, which saved my life when I got a massive black stain on my dress right before the ceremony.
If you are on the fence about hiring a coordinator or LOLA, you must do it!! It will, without a doubt, be the best decision you make throughout the entire process. I would have been a mess without Kristy, and can't thank her enough for the work and care she put into our big day. -

Michelle + LOLA = The Dream Team
When we met with Michelle for the first time, we instantly knew she would be an excellent wedding planner. Her initial questions were thoughtful, meticulous, and catered to our specific needs. Over the course of ~10 months, Michelle and the LOLA team helped us coordinate a Jewish/Christian wedding that included two officiants, floral, catering, lighting, transportation, and stationery for a wedding of 225 people and a wedding party with 25. Needless to say, Michelle had her hands full.
At the end of the day, what separates Michelle is how much we could trust her. We knew she was always on our side, would advocate for the best prices, would be pragmatic in her suggestions, and wanted nothing more than for us to have the most perfect wedding, which we did, in large part thanks to her.
We highly recommend Michelle and LOLA; they were simply amazing!-

LOLA gave us a one-of-a-kind dream wedding
Circumstances were stacked against my husband and I in planning our wedding-- our wedding was in Chicago but we live in DC, we work long hours, and I had both a job change and a major medical emergency over the course of the planning year. Despite all that, Kirsty at LOLA Event Productions never missed a beat. She helped my parents meet with vendors when my husband and I could not, she connected us with amazing vendors that were perfect for us, she got us through every panicked moment-- she was absolutely invaluable. In addition, she fully committed to our offbeat wedding theme and tastes-- this woman can do it all. I was worried that a wedding planner might try and discourage us from some of the more personalized and unique elements we wanted to add to our wedding, but Kirsty was here for it! She helped give us the best, most beautiful and most picture-perfect version of the nerdy planetarium wedding we wanted, despite the chaos of our lives during the planning year. She's honestly phenomenal, and we could not recommend her highly enough. -

Best wedding planner in Chicago area
Let me tell you before I start that Kirstin of Lola event productions is the best wedding planner you can work with in Chicago area. She is just incredible. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone planning a major event.
We had my daughter’s wedding at Intercontinental Hotel in Chicago in April 2018. It was almost impossible to manage ourselves three days of activities with more than 250 guests each day. So, we decided to look for a good wedding planner who could manage more than 250 guests especially on Saturday when program started at 9am and continued till mid night. We interviewed many wedding planners but when we talked to Kirstin (Kirsty) at Lola event productions, we immediately knew that she is the one for us and we were lucky to have her as our daughter’s wedding planner.
As soon as we signed Kirsty, she took over all aspects of the wedding which was spread out over three days and included more than 250 guests. She was absolutely fantastic and very easy to work with. We had a very large wedding and spent more than 5 months planning every detail. From the very start, Kirstin was warm, welcoming, professional, and we felt very reassured that she would be the perfect fit to handle this big event. She never missed a single detail out of the many hundreds of details. She coordinated all the vendors, suggested outstanding and reliable vendors for our needs, and ensured that everything was done right the first time – from food, to place cards, to seating, to music, to venue issues and so forth. The whole thing was utterly stress free. Her communication was outstanding. We could reach her at any time and meet in person if needed. On the day of the events, she was ever-present, putting all of us at ease. Each event ran on time, without glitches, and our guests were highly impressed by the result. We can't express our gratitude enough for how much work and effort she put in to make our wedding a grand success. It really wouldn't have happened without her.

Jewish Lesbian Wedding Perfection
We got married three weeks ago and wish we could do it all over again. The entire weekend was perfect and we owe so much of that to Lori and her amazing wedding planner superpowers. We worked with Lori for 18 months leading up to our wedding day. Lori is knowledgeable, creative, so so organized, and FUN. Lori kept us on track and took on any issues and obstacles that came up. She was able to understand our vision and helped to translate that into the most beautiful day of our lives. There were so many details that we had not ever considered that Lori listed for us (in her very detailed planning tools) helped us understand and executed to perfection. This attention to detail ensured that we, our family and all our guest had such a wonderful experience. We planned our wedding with Lori while living out of the country. Lori was very responsive to texts, emails, phone calls and FaceTime. She knows everyone there is to know in the Chicago areas for weddings and events and every professional we talked to knew Lori and commented that they loved to work with her and we were in the best hands. Everyone she referred us to was amazing! As we were two women getting married, Lori ensured that everyone we worked with was sensitive and inclusive to this. When we met with a vendor or two whose language was not inclusive for a Lesbian wedding she went out of her way to discuss this with them without prompting from us. In fact she noticed more of these details than we did. Of course she did!! Lori was our advocate to ensure we had a perfect, beautiful, personal, stress free wedding. And let me say again, Lori is SO MUCH FUN. If you want the perfect wedding, if you want zero stress on your wedding day, and if you want to laugh and have fun while planning, hire Lori and her team at Lola events immediately. It will be your best decision since saying yes! Lori, we miss you already! -

South Asian Wedding
Working with Lori Stephenson was incredible from the start. We had the wedding in Chicago but neither of us were living there, so it was really important to have someone in the area. She was already familiar with south asian weddings so we felt very comfortable working with Lori. She was so responsive through e-mail, phone and text. She was able to find us multiple venue options and attend each of the visits. It really helped to have her there since she knows all the right questions to ask. She always made sure to know what we were looking for, and she was able to give us lists of vendors that fit our style. Additionally, she would send summary emails after each meeting to keep the momentum going. Even more, she was able to communicate with both of our families to incorporate everyone's traditions. She even came to the temple with us to meet with the priest to make sure she knew exactly what was needed.
As with any planning process, there were multiple times where we changed our minds (like no longer having the same day edit, or removing screens) and she was able to re-negotiate things with the vendors. Also, it's a good sign when every time you meet a vendor, they say that we are in amazing hands with Lori. The month before a wedding can become very stressful- I can't imagine how much time she put in to speaking to everyone. She was extremely conscientious about taking care of things in the background- which really took so much pressure off of us. Lastly, she and her team from Lola made the wedding weekend unforgettable. They knew the timeline down to every last detail and it was amazing to see everything come together. I could not have imagined planning this wedding without her. She really makes you feel like your wedding is a priority to her. -

Where to even begin with how amazing Carly C. at Lola Event Productions is??? I am pretty organized and love to plan so after getting engaged in Feb. 2018, having a full-time planner wasn’t something I thought we would need. However, the more I planned, the more I started worrying about small details and organizing for the day. I did not want my mom and sister to be stuck doing a lot of tasks and not be able to enjoy the wedding. My mom had heard great things about Lola and suggested that I consider a day of planner. That’s when I reached out to Carly for day of planning and SOOO much was taken off my plate immediately. Shortly after hiring Carly, I was immediately sending her contracts which she organized. She also had super helpful responses and resources to any random questions I had regarding vendors or planning! Then over the summer, in July, we had our first official timeline planning meeting for my October wedding. The meeting was wonderful, and she already had SO much organized. She walked us through a draft timeline and we talked through ALL the details! She also gave us some important things to think about as well as helpful lists for further planning and specific things that we needed to get done in the coming months. After this meeting, she also started handling communications with vendors and getting them all set up and organized for the day, while also still answering my questions and responding to my every need/concern. Week of the wedding, Carly made my life SO easy, she handled all confirmations and planning with vendors, all timeline finalizations, and made sure the wedding party and our families were all on board with the timeline and plan for the wedding and rehearsal. I also never realized how much stuff I would need at the two different locations for the ceremony and reception – Carly handled all of it and made sure it was all delivered and set up beautifully. She also packed the largest most spectacular emergency kit you could think of for the wedding day!! I had not eaten a ton during the day of the wedding and got a headache – I did not have to worry about it for a second because Carly had snacks and meds galore and ready to go.
Our wedding day was truly the most beautiful, perfect fairy-tale I could have ever imagined, and I give so much credit to Carly for making it all possible. Me, my husband, family, and friends did not have to stress or worry about a single thing all day (or week) because Carly executed everything so flawlessly. She is amazing in every way and I cannot say enough good things about her. Carly is organized, polished, friendly, warm, understanding, conscientious, graceful, detail-oriented, and confident – you will NEVER regret hiring her or Lola – and you will most likely still be sending her thank you texts weeks after the wedding (like me!). Carly, we love you, thank you for helping us plan the wedding of our dreams!!! -

Above and Beyond
Working with Carly C. at Lola was a dream come true! Having previously worked for a catering company, I was confident that I could easily plan my own wedding and therefore opted for the "little bit of lola" day of package. As planning got well underway, I was surprised (maybe even a little overwhelmed) with how many details and vendors I had to manage. Then I had my first meeting with Carly and everything changed. She completely blew away every expectation I had of a day-of coordinator. Prior to meeting, she had organized all of the vendors contacts, contracts and begun working on a day of timeline in addition to a complete list of items that still needed attention. Carly was on top of communication throughout the entire planning process, checking in with me on to-do items and coordinating with vendors- no detail was missed! When it came to day of execution, everything was FLAWLESS. Starting with the rehearsal the day before our wedding; Carly kept everyone focused to get through the rehearsal on time and handed out day of timelines to our bridal party and family (this was great since everyone had questions about when and where to be places etc). Wedding Day: Carly and her assistant Fernando blew us away with their service. They were so attentive and on top of every last detail. The entire day was perfect and if there was something that went "wrong" we would have never known because they were so on top of things! Fernando was wonderful help and came to the rescue when a guests gown had an unexpected malfunction. Carly and Fernando did a great job making sure wedding gifts were accounted for and taken safely back to our hotel at the end of the evening which was a huge relief. There are so many amazing things I could say about Carly, Fernando and Lola...I can only imagine that their full-service event coordinating packages go above and beyond. I would recommend Carly C and Lola time and time again. Truly exceptional. -

Best wedding ever!!
I had the pleasure of meeting Lori 20+ years ago when she was working at Marshall Field's right out of college. Even then, she was an expert at her job and went above and beyond for her clients. Unfortunately, Lori left to pursue bigger and better things and we lost touch. When my daughter got engaged and we googled wedding planners in Chicago, I was so happy to come across Lori's name and immediately gave her a call. When we learned that lori was available for us, there was no need to look any further and we booked LOLA immediately.
Lori and her team are truly experts at what they do and wedding planning would have never gone as smoothly as it did without them. Our wedding planning experience was flawless due to Lori's guidance and expertise. We went with Lori's recommendations for vendors and they were all amazing and wonderful to work with.
I can't say enough good things about Lori except that it was one of our best decisions to hire her and she is truly worth her weight in gold. I may be biased but my daughter's wedding was truly one of the best and I thank Lori and her team from the bottom of my heart for a job well done!! -

5 Stars - Amazing!
The only word that comes to mind after our wedding is ‘magical’. Lori and her dream team did a spectacular job. Her attention to detail is out of this world. She was able to take everything that we had in our heads, from Pinterest, etc. and bring it to life. Her recommendations for all vendors did not fail either. We loved every one of our vendors and would definitely work with all of them again. If we had one recommendation to other couples getting married - it would be to work with LOLA. The entire wedding planning experience was enjoyable - every time we met with Lori she was on top of it, which was especially helpful since we live in Florida but got married in Chicago. The day of the wedding flowed without any issue - Lori kept the wedding party preparations on schedule and even prepared a box of assorted treats from the dessert table for Kyle and I to have back at the hotel! We were able to enjoy the entire day without missing a beat. When we walked into our reception it was nothing but magical. It will always be remembered as one of the best days of our lives and a huge part of that is thanks to Lori and her team. They are definitely the best of the best! -

Carly and the LOLA team made planning our big day such a breeze. Planning a wedding in Chicago from San Francisco seemed daunting, but Carly helped in so many ways. She planned venue visits all on one day, found a photographer who would fly to SF for engagement pictures, helped us make our cake of cheese possible, and coordinated with every vendor to make sure everything came together. On the actual day of the wedding, Carly did Ana amazing job making sure everything went smoothly - I didn’t worry about a thing! My husband and I would HIGHLY recommend working with Carly, it was one of the best wedding decisions we made!

I hired Carly Carynski about four months out from my wedding, and it was a wonderful decision. I already had most of my decor details planned but needed someone to come in and sort out the logistics of our wedding (with more than half of our guests in from out of town). Carly was calm, responsive, positive, and professional. She has great advice for any and all questions -- even the very, very small stuff. Her demeanor is always unruffled, and she always has the best interest of the bride and groom at the forefront of her mind. She'll make sure you are taken care of on your wedding day. You should absolutely hire her to coordinate your event. -

Kirsty from LOLA Events truly thought of every little detail and had such an incredible, calm and positive attitude every step of the way. Even in the most stressful of moments, we were all confident that our day would be nothing less than perfect just knowing she was our coordinator. I'm a naturally anxious person, so that means a lot coming from me. Kirsty is also a genuinely funny and warm person, it almost felt like I was getting the best wedding advice from a close girlfriend.
LOLA Events is incredibly thorough, organized, and responsive throughout the entire wedding process. Kirsty comes to the table with so many creative ideas and things that were not even on my radar (and still kept us within our budget!). She completely understood the vibe and aesthetic we were dreaming of for our wedding and made it a reality. And it was incredibly helpful to have a single point of contact for all of the other vendors.
Kirsty and her team went above and beyond and did more than I could have ever asked for. Choosing her to be our coordinator was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire wedding planning process, and it was worth every penny. Lori and her team get it and excel at it. They understand the tough, tough challenges and the wonderful opportunities that come with this important day. She was a godsend to us. My husband and I got married in June 2018 at UW Madison where we met. We knew from our first call with Lori from Lola in October 2016 that being a fellow badger she was the perfect one for the job! For the next nearly two years(!) Lori planned our absolute dream wedding weekend. It was a destination for all of our guests so we had four events including the wedding across three days and countless details that went into all of them. We had an endless amount of crazy requests and ideas for the wedding and Lori did absolutely everything to accommodate every last one. No matter how out of the box the request was, Lori always listened patiently, got to work and would come back to us with options and propose ways to get it done. She made sure to do everything in her power to find a way to make anything we wanted possible! If we wanted it she was finding a way to make it happen for us! We changed our minds constantly and Lori remained patient, understanding and supportive throughout the whole process. She communicated with every vendor and made sure every last idea we had was accomplished perfectly. We had a real vision for our wedding and she understood it and executed everything exactly as we pictured it. Even more so it exceeded our expectations and there was not a detail missed!!! She is patient, kind, creative and so passionate about her job and her couples. She always made herself available by phone, text, email and did so much behind the scenes that made the weekend simply flawless! She has incredible relationships with vendors in Chicago and she brought an epic team up to Madison to pull off the amazing weekend. We were SO pleased and happy with all of her vendor recommendations and its clear she is incredibly well liked and respected in her field. It was so comforting to have her make suggestions and know that we would be in the best hands. There was so much planning for all of the events and we were so amazed at how our vision came to life the entire weekend! -

I'm an event planner....but not a wedding planner. I would consider myself very organized and pay high attention to detail. We began considering a day of coordinator after hearing how crazy your wedding day really is. After looking at a few different places, Lola seemed to be the best fit for what we we're looking for. I really don't know what we would have done without them! We had the pleasure of working with Carly Carynski and she was AMAZING! Although she was considered a day of or week of planner, she stepped in way before that. After we signed the contract she immediately began organizing all our contracts, sending me to-do lists, and keeping me on track. Being a planner, I thought I could keep this all together myself but boy was I wrong. Carly was a dream come true! She was so responsive, had solutions, and always came up with creative ideas for us. She made me feel so at ease by showing up to the rehearsal and handling our 22 person bridal party...oops! Carly is friendly, welcoming, organized and creative! On the day of my wedding she and her team of assistants we're running around all day making sure all of our materials/busses/people we're where they needed to be at all times. They even brought up all our "extras" by the end of the night to our suite and in the morning everything was labeled/separated so we knew what we had in boxes. Carly and her team are FANTASTIC! Coming from a planner.....Carly is a must for your day! -

Carly Carynski was our wedding planner. AMAZING.....she is a professional and flawless with every single detail! We had 300 people ...3 day event ...Memorial weekend... Could not have done it without her. Always available! Do not hesitate this was the smartest move we made. We loved her and she has a dynamic personality and worked so well with all our vendors.
