  Jill is the best!

  My husband and I got married at Loft on Lake on 11/19/22 and it was our first and only venue we toured while researching wedding venues because it checked all of the boxes and we got the best sense from Jill Garrett during our tour. We hired Jill as our day-of-coordinator and she did all of the work to ensure our day went as smoothly as possible, including coordinating with all of our vendors. All we had to do on our wedding day was show up and the rest was taken care of. The venue looked absolutely gorgeous. All of our guests had the best things to say about Loft on Lake too, we can't recommend it more for your next event!

  The perfect venue!

  Choosing Loft on Lake for our wedding venue was the best decision we made! The space is beautiful and fit our guest count of 120 perfectly, and we greatly appreciated the flexibility in choosing vendors. We are so grateful for Jill Garrett, the amazing venue manager who also served as our day-of coordinator! She was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the entire planning process and made our wedding day completely stress-free for us and our families. She also helped connect us with LOL’s in-house photography company, Lofty Weddings, which was also excellent to work with. Our photographers Ramona and Aldo were fun and efficient and made us feel totally comfortable. Overall, working with LOL was a great experience. We can’t say enough good things about their team and highly recommend them to others!

  The best decision we made.

  Loft on Lake hosted our 120-person wedding on November 18th and we can't thank them enough for sharing their beautiful space with us! Jill was beyond helpful and assisted with coordinating vendors making sure we would have everything set up correctly and with enough time to take pictures at the venue with family. Our original venue went bankrupt earlier in the year and Jill eased our nerves of starting our planning from scratch the second we met her. We couldn't have asked for a better place to become husband and wife. Anyone getting married or having an event would be so lucky to have it at Loft on Lake!

  Book this venue and hire jill

  Loft on Lake was the dream wedding venue. We got SO MANY compliments from all of our guests about how beautiful it was. The brick walls, the built in lights, the SKYLIGHT it was all breathtaking. We knew we wanted a space that didn’t require additional decorating and Loft on Lake fit the bill. We loved that they had decor like candles, the fireplace mantle, etc. On hand so we didn’t need to buy more and could keep the wedding “green.”
  
  Above all else, HIGHER JILL as your day of coordinator. She was so easy to work with, was super responsive and as two very type A brides did an amazing job taking the reigns and letting us relax.

  Loft on Lake is a dream wedding location!

  We had the pleasure of getting married at Loft on Lake on New Year's Eve 2021!
  
  Our experience was INCREDIBLY positive and I cannot say enough how awesome it was to work with Jill and the Loft on Lake team. They were incredibly communicative and supportive, they worked in all of our requests, and when we walked into the venue day of, it was everything we imagined and more. The space is wonderful and fits up to 150 people - we ended up with closer to 85-90 and it was a dream.
  
  Jill was our day of coordinator - use her, you won't regret it. She handled everything we needed and I did not notice ANY bumps along the way. I wish we could relive this day over and over because it was so perfect!
  
  Highly recommend Loft on Lake to anyone looking to create wonderful memories :)

  Great experience with Loft on Lake!

  We loved Loft on Lake as our wedding venue! We worked with Jill as our Day of Coordinator. She was so great to work with. She was organized, professional, great with communication, and friendly. Everything looked so beautiful when we arrived at our reception. Everyone had such a fun time. We also rented the photo booth and it was a huge hit.

  Lovely Rehearsal/Welcome Reception with Jill as our guide!

  We had our rehearsal dinner (with about 25 people, for a buffet style dinner), followed by our welcome reception (with about 75 people for drinks/a few apps) on a Friday evening at Loft on Lake. We considered the space for our wedding but it was a bit too small for our expected number -- we loved it so much, we decided to use it for our rehearsal. Jill made the whole process extremely easy -- she was super responsive, easy about arranging payments and tours, and just generally really informative. Our BYO alcohol provider left a couple boxes when they picked up that night, and Jill was extremely accommodating about getting it locked in an office and holding it until we could pick it up a couple days later. The space, with its lovely included lighting effects up the walls, easy hook up to connect your playlist to the included sound system, and general warm feel meant we needed just some candles/vases for dinner tables and a few photographs for the entrance to make the space feel really personal and beautiful. We would highly recommend hosting an event here, especially with Jill as your guide.

  Perfect City Venue!

  I cannot say enough great things about Loft on Lake! The venue itself is such a beautiful space for starters. It's conveniently located in a great neighborhood in the city, less than 5m from hotels in West Loop for your guests' ease. The skylight ceiling allows natural light to pour in during your ceremony and then later on, their in-house lighting gives the perfect ambiance once the reception gets underway. Their bridal suite tucked away in the corner is so nice to have on site throughout the day and their kitchen is every catering team's dream, which in turn makes food and bev service a breeze, which is important for your guests' experience at your wedding. Most importantly, it's a private/family owned venue, and you can immediately tell that they take amazing care of the space and each and every client. Jill is so welcoming, professional and on top of everything during the planning process; such a pleasure to work with! Again, cannot say enough fantastic things about LOL. It's truly a perfect venue if you're looking for a cool, intimate, urban space in the city!

  We Love Loft on Lake!

  We hosted our wedding at Loft on Lake in August 2021 and it was the best! We had 120 people and thought it was the perfect size - it felt intimate but not too small. We were worried about the cocktail hour space being too small but it ended up working out just fine. The venue is the perfect blank slate to decorate how you want without needing to do much. Its laid out perfectly for caterers and vendors to get in and set up and really nice to have bathrooms in the front and back of the space. The location is also ideal being close to all of the action in West Loop but far enough away to still get parking. Plus I think all of our guests hit the McDonalds afterwards ;)
  
  The BEST part of the venue was working with Jill. She has such a calming personality and just gets it. She went the extra mile in every single way and added so many little thoughts and details - she even signed our guest book and took some photos of our dance floor

  Such an amazing venue and team to work with!

  I cannot say enough how amazing this venue and the team is! Loft on Lake exceeded mine and my groom's wedding dreams. This venue is a perfect intimate spot to host your special day! Also, working with Jill Garrett was the best decision! Not only was she helpful throughout the entire planning process, staying on top of Covid restrictions and keeping us informed. She was an all-star coordinator the day of our wedding. I did not have to worry about one thing on our special day. If you are looking for an intimate, lofty vibe for your wedding and an amazing team to work with, Loft on Lake is your wedding venue!

  In Love with Loft on Lake

  I have nothing but praise for Loft on Lake!! Our wedding was originally scheduled for April 25, 2020...and of course was postponed...TWICE! Loft on Lake was so accommodating with all of our changes and we were able to host our wedding on May 1, 2021.
  
  Jill is an absolute GEM, great communication, and so helpful. They are a family-owned company, and will treat you like family.
  
  We loved the location in West Loop, it was easy for our guests to get to and the parking garage very close and cheap (for all day parking in the city)!
  
  Also, in case you are worried about outside space, we were able to pop up a tent and set up some lounge furniture in their back parking space for a cigar lounge.
  
  The space is so adaptable and gorgeous, even with minimal decor. If you are looking for a stress-free, beautiful, location for your wedding/event go with Loft on Lake!

  Beautiful, affordable space & Exceptionally helpful staff

  Loft on Lake is a beautiful venue and the Garretts are incredible to work with. Cheryl was very responsive and helped us to plan our wedding exactly the way we wanted. Jill Samplawski was a wonderful coordinator and made sure everything ran incredibly smoothly. She thought of all sorts of details that we never would have thought to include and made sure everything worked within our budget and our vision for the wedding. I would absolutely recommend this venue.

  Loft on Lake is a beautiful venue and the Garretts are incredible to work with. Cheryl was very responsive and helped us to plan our wedding exactly the way we wanted. Jill Samplawski was a wonderful coordinator and made sure everything ran incredibly smoothly.   Perfect Venue for our Winter Wedding

  My husband and I hosted our wedding here in late December. We wanted our day to feel like a party that we'd host in our house - if our house could hold 200 people. Cue Jill and Loft on Lake, who made our wedding the most joyful, warm, and beautiful day we could have imagined. The rental price was well within our budget, and Jill's help as day-of-coordinator was invaluable; she helped make the day run smoothly so we could concentrate on our family and friends - and each other! Everyone had an amazing time, and I cannot recommend this venue more highly!

It has soft and cozy feel to the venue with brick wall, and dim lights add all the moods. With the right draping and decoration, it was a magical wedding day for us. I loved that the venue was not too big, or to small. We had about 150 guests, and it was perfect. Also, the wedding coordinator Jill helped us tremendously. Throughout the planning, she provided great insights and guidance. She was very professional, and made sure everything was ready to go on the Big Day. Even after the wedding ,she had everything neatly organized and ready for us to pick up. We appreciate this venue so much! I would totally recommend this venue to my friends!

  This place is just... magical. It's a space that speaks entirely for itself. It's a very raw space and thusly has a huge amount of flexibility in how you decorate. And as such, just a little goes a long way. Their kitchen is just top-notch. The area for couples or brides/grooms separately in the front as well as the additional separate cocktail space are just amazing. The nearly square layout of the main room is so absolutely versatile that the possibilities for how you want the room to look on your big day are just endless. Cher, Steve, & Joel Garret are among the most warm and accommodating people I've ever run into in this industry. They truly love their space as much as they want you to love it. And with that in mind, they set out to make sure you do. And the price was just unbeatable. I truly cannot imagine my big day having been anywhere else in the city (or the world) after having it at Loft On Lake.

  This place is just... magical. It's a space that speaks entirely for itself. It's a very raw space and thusly has a huge amount of flexibility in how you decorate. And as such, just a little goes a long way. Their kitchen is just top-notch. The area for couples or brides/grooms separately in the front as well as the additional separate cocktail space are just amazing. The nearly square layout of the main room is so absolutely versatile that the possibilities for how you want the room to look on your big day are just endless. Cher, Steve, & Joel Garret are among the most warm and accommodating people I've ever run into in this industry. They truly love their space as much as they want you to love it.   I LOVED this venue. I planned my wedding from out of state and Loft on Lake made it simple. The space is simple w/ exposed brick and wood w/ a great sky light that runs the center of the room. They also have a list of approved vendors that know how to work in the space and flip a room from Ceremony to Reception w/out a hitch...here are some bullet points
  - Its one large room w/ a small front room
  -I had 150 guests (plated meals) we used 60 in rounds for the tables and had room for a small dance floor (I don't suggest over 150 if you want a dance floor and a sweet heart table)
  -takes about 50 min to flip the room -Meanwhile guest do cocktail hour in the front room
  -Our wedding was at night and we used a ton of candles and it was beautiful
  -The L is right outside - when you visit the venue you will def hear it - however the night of you will barley hear it, if at all.
  
  We got nothing but complements on the wedding and how beautiful it was - if I had to do it all over again I would pick Loft On Lake again without even thinking about it.

  I couldn't have been more pleased with the way our event turned out. The value the staff at Loft on Lake added was far beyond what was anticipated. Their commitment to the success of our event was second to none. I would happily have future receptions or even corporate events in this space.

  We hired Loft on Lake to host our wedding ceremony and reception in November 2013 and we could not have been more pleased with the result! We live out of state and knew that coordinating an event of this importance from a distance was taking a big risk. After much online research- pictures and reviews- we decided Loft on Lake was the venue that would best reflect our values and aesthetic while providing an environment that would also make our families comfortable. From the beginning, Cher and Natalie, were warm, professional and very helpful, always answering emails promptly and completely- a short coming we experienced with other vendors. The space was such a beautiful backdrop for our winter evening ceremony and reception-warm candlelight and draped, soft fabric- it made for an elegant, romantic night! We had 87 guests in total, a number that allowed us to easily divide the space for the ceremony and reception tables without it feeling crowded in the least. The two bathrooms were fine for our guest count and there was never a line. We only heard the train once in the evening but honestly, it just added to the character of the place! The space is family owned/run and that was a big plus for us in choosing an organization to work with. We feel so fortunate to have partnered with Loft on Lake for our big day and would highly, highly recommend them!

  Natalie was a pleasure to work with at Loft on Lake. She coordinated with all of our vendors to ensure the day would go without a hitch. They were flexible with the times our vendors could come in to set up for our Friday night Sangeet. We loved the space and it was perfect for our event. We could not have been happier with the staff and the space at Loft on Lake.

  We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Loft on Lake a few weeks ago. We love the look and feel of the place especially the beautiful skylight and exposed brick walls. We worked with Vitaliy and he is as good as they come. He was accommodating, responsive and very cooperative to our every need. We highly recommend this space!!!

  Loft on Lake was the perfect venue for our wedding. The setting was gorgeous and because of its natural urban beauty, required very little additional decoration. Everyone was a delight to work with and the whole process was a piece of cake. This venue is absolutely beautiful in pictures. It worked well for our intimate wedding but would have been just fine if we had a larger party.

  We had our wedding at Loft on Lake in September and could not be happier with the results! The venue was beautiful and had the warm, cozy feel we were looking for and we received many compliments from our guests. Jessie and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful all throughout the process!

  Loft on Lake was great to work with and an amazing space for our wedding. When we walked in we knew that the warmth and simultaneous urban/rustic feel of the space would be perfect for the feel we wanted to go for.
  
  Some awesome things:
  - everyone remarked on how beautiful the venue was - from the exposed brick to the twinkly lights on the beams to the beautiful skylight with cool blue LED lights around it which looked so beautiful at night. the modern flooring is a very nice difference from hotel carpeting
  - the space is all on one level with big back doors to a parking area that make it very easy for vendors to load in and out
  - the space is flexible and worked great for both ceremony and reception
  - the staff and owners were great to work with, from allowing us to leave items there the night before to letting us drop by and show people the space throughout our engagement to even noticing that I was really hot during the reception and offering to turn down the heat
  - their list of recommended caterers is extensive and its easy to bring in someone else if their list doesn't meet your needs for a minor additional fee
  
  a few things I wish I'd known before booking (that probably wouldn't have changed my opinion):
  - I didn't fully consider all the additional costs of getting a space-only venue so I am not sure I was making the kind of value-driven decision I thought I was at the time (renting tables and chairs vs. a space that already has these items)
  - a lot of the pictures on the website have pipe and drape in them. we ended up adding additional draping for a truly beautiful effect, but that was not a cost I factored in when looking at the space. I would have liked to drape around the kitchen cabinets to use the island, but that ended up being more than we wanted to spend. There are some grey drapes in place to separate the main space from entry way.
  
  overall: would book again and would enthusiastically recommend!!!
