From the spacious, cozy lodge to the airy outdoor tent pavilion, every detail of the space is thoughtfully maintained and ideal for weddings or other special gatherings. We rented it for my sons wedding reception.

Guests were impressed by the scenic setting and the seamless combination of indoor and outdoor spaces. The venue is also a great value, with inclusive options like tables and chairs that make planning easier. With enough room to comfortably host around 90-100 guests, Seneca Creek is a wonderful choice for anyone looking for a beautiful, affordable, and well-run location to celebrate a special day.

Planning a wedding can be incredibly challenging, especially when trying to stay within budget and accommodate everyone’s needs. Thankfully, Seneca made the entire process so much easier! They offered everything we were looking for and more.

The staff at Seneca were not only professional but also extremely flexible, always willing to adjust and adapt to our unique requests. Ms. Sandra, in particular, was a gem to work with. She was incredibly helpful and guided us through every step of the journey, ensuring that no detail was overlooked. Her expertise and patience made what could have been a stressful process feel seamless and enjoyable.

From the venue setup to the coordination of the day’s events, everything was handled with care and precision. The team at Seneca truly went above and beyond to make our special day unforgettable. If you’re looking for a venue that combines affordability, flexibility, and outstanding service, I can’t recommend Seneca enough!

We loved our venue—it was so cozy yet the perfect size for our 114 guests. The fireplace and dimmed lights were a huge plus, making the atmosphere warm and intimate. Having a wedding here off-season was a great value. My only note is that they were quite strict about the hours—we were not allowed inside a minute before or after our rental period.

We had a perfect day at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek. The staff were kind, professional, punctual, and accommodating and the venue was ready with the tables set up well in advance of when our planners and vendors needed to set up. The venue was perfect for us.

We had a great time. From start to finish the staff at the Lodge were fantastic and very accommodating. Our event was in January, so we had a bit of a discount as well. I would recommend this venue to anyone who need a unique experience in Montgomery County.

The Seneca Creek team were wonderful to work with. We particularly loved working with Ryan, who was extremely knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the venue, and who answered every question promptly and was just as excited as we were to make our event happen. Day of staff were incredible, and set up and take down went extremely smoothly. Our caterer (Botanero Restaurant) was very experienced with the venue and the coordination was seamless.

The venue was so well maintained, impeccably cleaned, and our guests loved the ambiance of the lodge. We also loved that we could support our county parks while hosting our wedding! Would not have had it anywhere else.

We just finished our September 2nd wedding at The Lodge at Little Seneca and have nothing but wonderful things to say. From the start, the team was responsive to emails, answered all of our questions and provided guidance on multiple layouts for various scenarios (ie weather issues, placement of the band, etc). What's more- you get a lot for what you pay for, as there are 3 separate spaces for your event (at a discounted rate if you are a PG or Montgomery County resident!). There is a tent, lawn area and lodge included in all packages- as well as chairs and tables in and out. It was the perfect size for our 50 person wedding and guests were raving about the space. Thank you team for all of your help! It was truly a magical day.

This was such a beautiful venue. It unfortunately rained on my day so we had to have the ceremony inside but it was gorgeous anyways. Thw room was flipped for cocktail hour and the reception was held under the tent. They were very accommodating to several of my floorplan and seating chart changes and were very responsive to my questions. It's also great how they offer indoor and outdoor. My only complaint is that you have to pay for extra hours, but it was still cheaper than most other places.

The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek is the best value for a wedding venue that we've seen! Not only do you get the whole venue to yourself (no other events that day), but a discounted rate for county residents, semi-permanent tent, a gorgeous stone fireplace, cafe lights indoor and out, and tables and chairs! The on site coordinator, Sue, was extremely communicative and responsive throughout the whole evolution of our wedding planning. She helped us talk through our ideas and answered our many, many questions no matter how detailed. The venue is a gorgeous, nature-centric, rustic location to have a wedding and was perfectly sized for our 70-person wedding. We ended up not needing to stress during COVID since we were easily able to shift our event to mostly outdoor without changing any costs or adding any other vendors. The landscaping around provides a gorgeous setting that only needs a bit of decor to enhance. The Lodge is a very well run venue with professional staff and nothing went wrong on our day. I would 100% recommend choosing the Lodge as your wedding venue!

The Lodge was FANTASTIC to work with! We ended up having to change our date twice due to covid, and they were flexible and understanding each and every time. Over the two years we were engaged, every time we had a question, the Lodge replied quickly and helpfully. Not only were they excellent at communication, they helped keep us in top of things and organized. And those things weren’t even reasons why we hired them! We wanted a venue that was affordable and beautiful, one that wouldn’t need a small tonnage of decor to look presentable. And that’s what we got! With some tablecloths and flowers, the place quickly transformed into a breathtaking venue. It certainly took my breath away as I walked in to the ceremony! Can’t recommend them enough. :)

We recently celebrated our wedding at the Lodge and would choose this same venue a hundred times over if we could! The staff members are responsive, competent, kind, and easy to work with. They were flexible when we had requests and really prioritized us having everything we wanted for our big day. The lodge itself is obviously beautiful and the surrounding grassy area as well. Many of our wedding guests commented on how lovely the venue is. We really feel we stumbled upon a fantastic deal with the Lodge, and are so grateful to have gotten married in this stunning location! Because of COVID-19 we ended up having to twice postpone and then ultimately cancel our wedding here, but I still wanted to take the opportunity to talk about how professional and helpful the staff was. While we were not ultimately able to hold our event (through no fault of the venue and staff) I would still highly recommend Lodge to anyone who is looking for an intimate venue near DC.

This was the first venue that my husband and I went to and instantly we knew it was the one. The best part of this is that it can act as a 2 for 1 venue; ceremony and reception can both be held here. That is exactly what my husband and I chose to do. We had our ceremony outside on the lawn beside the tented patio, used the tented patio for cocktail our and went inside the lodge for the reception. The Lodge is beautiful in itself. Minimal decoration is needed because the wooden lodge feel has that sense of beauty along with the huge fireplace inside. The staff at the lodge are super friendly and were easy to get in contact with. Our wedding day was more than amazing at the Lodge.

When we first walked in it was a delightful atmosphere, I loved it at first sight, very bright, clean, and attractive.

The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek is truly a hidden gem like someone else had mentioned. It is SO much more beautiful in person! We had our wedding in the evening and our photos were amazing- painted with the golden glow from the sunset! As for the interior- the exposed wood and stone of the fireplace are breathtaking! The event managers Rhea and Sue were also a dream! They were super flexible and understanding about all the wedding chaos. For example, the backdrop frame I had rented didn't arrive in time for me to set it up on the previous day and they took care of it. It really meant so much to us because it was something extra for them to do! It is clear that Rhea and Sue love what they do because it was reflected in their every interaction with us. Thanks Rhea and Sue!

We are so happy that we chose the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek for our wedding in April 2019! We loved that the Lodge had a simple and natural feel in a beautiful setting. The staff at the Lodge were helpful and supportive throughout the planning process, especially Rhea! We visited the Lodge several times in the months before our wedding, attended an Open House event, and one of the wedding workshops-- each time we felt welcomed and were able to ask questions and clarify details. As our wedding date got closer, Rhea and Sue were in contact with us and our day-of-coordinator. Our wedding day went perfectly and the onsite staff worked closely with our vendors to make sure that everything went smoothly. We were lucky that it was a nice spring day. We took family photos outside and then we had our ceremony in the tent, which was so picturesque! Guests were able to be on the deck during cocktail hour and we had the rest of our reception inside. The space was perfect for our 90 guests and with the tables set and floral arrangements, it was such a beautiful space to celebrate in!!!

The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek was the BEST venue for our wedding. Being a county park, the value was unbeatable and while only minutes from town, the area the Lodge is makes you feel out in the country - so it's best of both worlds! The log cabin style and large stone fireplace inside the Lodge is perfect for our fall wedding and the grounds with ample space to play lawn games, a tent and porch that looks out on a beautiful tree lined area, with option of taking pictures back by the creek in the woods is to DIE FOR. While the weather wasn't ideal for pictures by the creek for us, we barely missed it because of the beauty around the lodge and inside the Lodge itself. Our pictures came out magical and even still our guests say one of the best things about our wedding was this venue! Stunning!!! The event managers were so sweet and so responsive to all of our ideas and really made our day extra special. You will fall in love as soon as you walk in. Intimate and magical are the words I would use to describe this place. Do yourself a favor and book this gem! You won't regret it!

The Lodge was everything we were looking for and made for a beautiful wedding and reception! Rhea and Sue were great to work with and responded quickly to all of our calls and emails.

We were married this past April at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek and cannot imagine having our wedding anywhere else. The process from start to finish went off without a hitch. Rhea and her team were incredible to work with and were always quick to respond to all of our questions leading up to the big day. We had our ceremony on the patio under the tent which provided the woods and open field as a beautiful backdrop. The lodge itself provided the exact rustic chic look we were hoping for and we had countless guests comment on the space. We opted for a more “cocktail” styled reception which allowed the perfect amount of room four our 100ish guests, band, and catering team. Thanks Rhea and everyone else at the Lodge for making our wedding day exactly what we were imaging.

The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek was the perfect spot for our wedding day. It is absolutely beautiful and able to accommodate an indoor or outdoor ceremony and reception. It POURED on our wedding day and the ceremony was delayed by 30 minutes and the Lodge handled all of that with grace. It is a stunning venue and totally worth booking.

The lodge was a beautiful venue and Rhea and her team were fantastic to work with! We booked both Friday and Saturday for our rehearsal and wedding day, so they let us set up decorations overnight, making Saturday's set up far less stressful. The location was perfect, easy to get to and close to hotels while still feeling private and woodsy. We ended up having our ceremony under the tent rather than on the lawn, and I highly recommend that option for rain or just for mid-summer weddings, since the hot sun can really beat down outside.

Rhea was great in answering all of our questions prior to the big day and our day of contact, Tangela, was amazing! The inside of the Lodge was perfect for our 85 person wedding in late March. It snowed earlier in the week so we ditched the outdoor wedding and got married in front of the beautiful stone fireplace. So beautiful, just like a log cabin. Our guests loved it! We took advantage of the MoCo resident discount so it was very affordable and tables and chairs are included!

I feel this is the best kept secret in Montgomery County!! We were so lucky to have discovered this perfect setting for a wedding. My daughter chose a mid-November date, so they were married in front of the gorgeous huge stonewall fireplace in the afternoon. It was perfect! Working with the Lodge staff made the planning completely stress free! We would highly recommend the Lodge!!!

I highly recommend the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek! Justin and Melissa were a pleasure to work with and the venue itself is beautiful. I heard many compliments about the space day-of and I couldn't have been happier with our choice of the Lodge. My only critique is the bridal room needs a bit of sprucing up (especially since the county does not allow items to be hung on the walls). If you're looking for a wedding venue, as I was 10 months ago, you won't go wrong choosing the Lodge.

I can not say enough amazing things about The Lodge At Little Seneca Creek. From the time we first stepped foot in the venue, we knew this was where we were meant to be married. The Lodge itself is so effortlessly beautiful with all the beautiful wood, natural light, and that enormous and GORGEOUS fireplace and it completely fit the "rustic chic" look we were going for. Additionally, Justin and Melissa are complete rockstars and always ALWAYS kept open lines of communication with me, my husband, and our wedding planner. We knew they always had our back and would do whatever they could to make sure our wedding was everything we wanted it to be. Lastly, you absolutely can not beat the price. You just can't-- at least not in the Washington DC area. It's for all of these reasons (and many many many more) that I would recommend The Lodge At Little Seneca Creek to any couple looking for a beautiful, rustic, and nature-inspired wedding!

My husband and I had been to a few venues in and around Montgomery County before trying out the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek. We were very concerned with keeping a fairly tight budget and wanted a venue that would hold about 100 guests. We knew immediately when we went into the Lodge that this was our venue! First off, the venue is GORGEOUS. From the cozy atmosphere and enormous fireplace in the Lodge, to the expansive and airy tent, to the green and lush grounds, everything about this place is pretty much perfect. We had envisioned a sunny day for a ceremony on the lawn...and that did not even come close to happening (rain, wind, clouds, the whole nine yards). But, with Justin's help, we had come up with a solid Plan B that Justin also helped execute beautifully on the day of the wedding. I really can't believe I'm saying this, but the ceremony in the Lodge actually turned out better than I think it would've on the lawn! The Lodge creates such a cozy, intimate atmosphere that is perfect for wedding ceremonies (and raucous dance floors...which we also had!). We can't thank Justin enough for all his help setting up before the wedding and helping along the way. So many of our family members have praised Justin for his hard work and ability to easily solve problems that came up while they were setting up. It matters so much on your wedding day to have people you can trust behind the scenes. Not only did the Lodge deliver the perfect venue for our wedding, but we had the pleasure of getting to work with Justin throughout.

We were married last weekend at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek and it was no less than magical. Justin captured me from the moment he said hello at an open house and he, Kristin, and Melissa helped us every step of the way from then on. They were flexible with details and advised us as we planned with the help of the caterer. It's a do-it-yourself kind of place so there's a bit of work involved but with the help of some creative family and friends it turned out better than I could have dreamed. It was the perfect venue to capture the importance of our ceremony followed by a casual "family reunion" style reception.

If you're looking for a rustic look this is the perfect venue! It has ample space! It's located in a beautiful area! There's a beautiful creek in the wooded area. Melissa and Justin were a pleasure to work with!

I can't even begin to describe what a perfect wedding we had at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek! First off, the venue is absolutely gorgeous! The log cabin feel is so cozy and warm...perfect for an intimate setting. The huge stone fireplace is so majestic and is very easy to add decorations to. The backdrop of the venue is just magnificent as well...our wedding was in October when the leaves were just a sight to see. Secondly, working with Justin, Kristen and Melissa made the decision to choose this venue so easy! They are just wonderful people to work with. They were so accommodating with all my questions along the way, and were so flexible the day of when we had the threat of rain for a ceremony that was supposed to be held outside! They made everything run so smoothly!! My husband and I could not have picked a better venue or a more amazing team to work with!

So I was a Shade Trees & Evergreens bride, and had been left high and dry by our venue back in May. And let me tell you, I'm pretty okay with that after we found Seneca Lodge. Not only were they a beautiful, awesomely put together venue, they were also enthusiastically excited to work with us, and spent effort and time to make sure that we were having the best day. Our stress level was non existent. They took care of us, helped us get everything together, and made sure that we were happy.

Did I mention this venue is beautiful? We needed very little decorations. It was outstanding.

This place is worth it just for the rangers who work here. They are great, and they'll make you feel like friends, not just like clients. But you'll stay because it's so lovely. Our pictures were wonderful. I've never been happier.

So glad our original venue fell apart, I would never have found such a great place!

The cutest venue and can offer a wide variety of cermony/reception ideas despite it being a rather small venue. The staff are so kind and are willing to help in all matters. We are so excited to get married here

This was the first wedding I had to plan and be a bride for. I never dreamed of my wedding day and consequently didn't know a thing about planning a wedding. After looking at several places I knew one thing for sure: I wanted a scenic outdoors/indoors wedding. My husband (its so weird saying that:-)) went to look at parks within the area and came across this site. I would see other places that met my need but when I stepped foot on the property I liked it, but, when I met Melissa and Justin, I loved it! Their warm regard to my day was so helpful, reminding me of all the little details I overlooked (in relation to administrative paperwork and previous weddings they saw). We changed our wedding date several times, but we continued the planning process from the previously set dates and decided on, Sunday, July 3, 2016. The continuation of planning between dates brought us to a year of planning (the park prefers reserving space at least 6 months out). We decided to do a "Do it Yourself" (DIY) wedding. COSTLY! By the time we finished, we thought that it would have been the same amount if we rented and hired a company to decorate for us. The DIY was hard because it required creativity, that not everyone innately had. In the same breath, it was a great way to involve everyone into your planning process. Remember: YOUTUBE! The genuineness of people helping despite their deficiencies increases the anticipation. I hoped for sunshine but if rain came the park has an alternative solution, a tent. My original idea was to have a lawn wedding, a tent cocktail hour and a building reception. I went to the site to have my rehearsal and noticed that there were so many flying bugs that I thought maybe I need to rethink the pregnant invited guest. It drizzled a little before the wedding time and we moved the ceremony to the tent. No BUGS! WHAT A WONDERFUL IDEA!!! I highly recommend this site and I would add that the tent ceremony is gorgeous!

The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek was an amazing venue. It is surrounded by woods and a large lawn which made for great pictures. We decided to rent the tent outside because we wanted the ceremony and dancing to be outside while the dinner would be in the lodge. We had a cool rainy day on our wedding but that didn’t change the plans. The tent was perfect for the ceremony because we were able to open the flaps to have a beautiful view of the woods behind our alter and the side flaps were kept down to keep everyone warm and comfortable. The staff at the lodge was amazing to work with. We had Melissa on our day of and she was fantastic with setting up everything exactly how we wanted and she even accommodated some last minute changes. The bridal suite at the lodge made for a great place for me and the girls to get ready, it gave us our much needed privacy, with a bathroom made for a bride. The lodge was beautiful and clean and the open houses were a fantastic way to visit the lodge every couple weeks before the wedding to plan and decide how everything would go. Despite the rain on our wedding day, we were still able to wander down to the beautiful stream for pictures where our photographer took perhaps our best picture of the whole night.

What a beautiful location and what a great price. The staff were so responsive and went above and beyond with my wedding. I felt so taken care of and they made sure my day was perfect!

We had our October wedding at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek and absolutely loved the venue! We were looking for a rustic venue for an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception to accommodate 85 guests and the Lodge was ideal- lots of parking, easy access from DC (where we live), beautiful scenery (we did our "first look" photos next to the creek in the woods just behind the venue), perfect fall colors, and an incredible reception space with a working fireplace and back porch overlooking the field and woods. The staff were highly professional, responsive, friendly and accommodating through the planning stages and the wedding day. We visited the venue multiple times before the wedding and felt that the staff were very helpful with recommendations for set-up and planning the day- we always had our questions answered. The staff also accommodated a walkthrough with our photographer and caterer. It was great that the venue already had a tented space that could be used as a back-up plan in case of bad weather (we had great weather, so only used the tented space for cocktail hour). The rental also comes with tables and chairs with suggested floor plans that made planning easy. The venue is beautiful, so our decorating was minimal, but there are hooks and outlets all around the Lodge to easily plan for decorations. It was also very helpful to have the bridal suite at the Lodge since we were coming in from DC and needed a place to get ready after the drive. Highly recommend the Lodge as a wedding venue- it was perfect for our day!

From the second we walked inside the Lodge we fell in love with it!! The entire staff clearly love what they do and it shows in their cordial and accommodating manner. The view is breathtaking for a Fall wedding which was what we desired and the staff provided every detail to make our special day. The location was perfect - the rustic lodge sports a large breath taking brick fireplace in which we decorated with candles and mirrors. Justin, the Reservations Manager was with us all the way from day one of our planning and all of the working staff that I didn't get the pleasure of meeting more personally made our day a smooth flawless event! Do yourself a favor and check this beautiful venue out!!

The Seneca Lodge is absolutely beautiful! My husband and I loved everything about the wedding venue. The location is situated near the woods and has an expansive green lawn, which makes for a gorgeous backdrop. There is also an option to rent out the tent in the yard, but we declined that option. When you first walk into the lodge, it gives off a very rustic, yet intimate and romantic feeling with great lighting and a fireplace in the center. The vaulted ceilings make the space seem a lot bigger, yet it was still cozy for our 110 guests. The AC and ceiling fans do a great job in keeping the room cool, which we were very grateful for in the summer heat. The bridal room downstairs was recently renovated, and it had a couch, private bathroom and space for our entire bridal party.

Lastly, the staff at the lodge were friendly and approachable. They were accommodating with last minute changes to our layout, and they answered every question we had. We couldn’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else!

Everything was amazing! The place was gorgeous and all of my guests commented on how beautiful it was. The staff was easy to reach and always responded quickly. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a rustic looking wedding that's not in a barn. Hubby and I picked it because we could choose our own caterer which was a big deal to us. Good price value I thought.

I absolutely LOVE this venue. The management (Melissa & Justin) were so helpful and quick to respond to any/all of our needs. The day-of event managers worked well with our day-of coordinator and were so helpful. This is a reasonable priced gorgeous location that provides sooo many things within one. I was very lucky to have the rehearsal dinner day before and it was soo beneficial. Everything was set-up prior it seemed but I was just happy with our overall experience!

This was the perfect venue for my rustic wedding. The lodge and fireplace was gorgeous. The staff was also extremely organized, responsive, and professional. I would highly recommend this venue for any bride to be looking for that perfect rustic venue. We had our ceremony outside in the tent. The reception with about 100 people was inside the lodge. It was the perfect night. Our guest all commented on how unique and beautiful the venue was.

We are really happy we chose Seneca Lodge for our winter wedding. Melissa and Kristen were really great at meeting us outside of their normal schedule. They answered every question we had and were wonderful to work with. I was a little freaked out due to an impending snow storm and called Melissa on her cell to veriy the lodge would still be open. She called me back right away and was very reassuring.

Other than the great customer service, the lodge was very clean and accomodating. They set-up everything the way we asked, opened on time and were very helpful. There is nothing bad to say about the venue or the staff. I'm assuming there's been a change in management because it really has turned around for the better.

A new person came on as the organizer of events while we were planning our wedding and the difference was night and day. The lodge itself is gorgeous and a great location for a formal or informal wedding; with the new people at Montgomery Parks, it's now also incredibly easy to set up a wedding there! They were exceedingly responsive, exceedingly kind, and exceedingly helpful, and you cannot beat the price. We had 80 guests and a fine set up with room for buffet and dancing. Beautiful and enjoyable all around.

Our wedding here was a great choice. The Lodge and view of the park was the perfect rustic setting we were looking for. The perfect match for our antique jars and elegant, yet laid back style!! We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the lawn, a cocktail hour in a tent and our reception inside the lodge. The awesome stone fireplace which we could decorate anyway we like (we filled with candles, flowers and crates), was the backdrop for our head tables and dance floor. If I could do it all over again, I would take the time to go take some pictures of just me and my husband at the creek across the field. This place was affordable and let us choose our own vendors which enabled us to budget where needed. The lodge set-up the tables and chairs for us, which was great, and offered rental of black or white resin chairs in case we didn't want to use their tan ones included with the reservation. The 8-hour rental was plently of time, but personally I think we would have wanted to add an additional hour if we had kept our plans to add string lights around the room and deck. we loved the lodge!

I want to be clear that I am not reviewing the offices which is where I had to communicate beforehand because they did not do such a great job. I confirmed with them at least 5 times which caterer we were using who works there all the time and they still had no record of it.

What I am speaking of is the service once we were there. We had an outside rehearsal at the lodge the Wednesday before the Friday evening wedding on 9/19/2014. Our daughter got married outside. We had the photographer come to the rehearsal and he realized right away that we may need to change the location of the ceremony so the tent that was still up outside would not be the focal point of all the pictures. Shelley Fisher who works for the Lodge happened to be there and she was instrumental in helping us to move to site B which would allow us to take pictures without the tent in them. I can't thank Shelley enough for the very last minute changes. It made the ceremony a great success.

I would also like to give a huge thank you to Gisela Hertslet! She was the person assigned by the county to help us at the party. I say party because my daughter did not want to call it a reception. Gisela went above and beyond and was so very helpful with us. She was great at making sure that I knew what was expected of us and what we should expect from her. We chose the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek because we are outdoorsy and because it was cheap, and we were on a tight, do-it-yourself budget.

The location itself may initially seem a bit drab, but it dresses up VERY well. We did a simple wood/moss/hurricane candle centerpiece, and strung some lights and paper lanterns outside, and it looked smashing inside and out. My partner also dressed up the bathroom a bit so that it seemed a bit less institutional, and that really helped it feel fancy.

Instead of a rehearsal the night before, we brought a crew and started putting decorations together. The staff were very flexible around that, and let us leave our stuff in the basement so that we didn't have to cart it on the day of. We did end up purchasing an extra hour so that our set-up crew would have enough time, and that was a smart move.

Our ceremony was outside and gorgeous - the backdrop of the trees near the creek was kind of magical. We did our reception in the tent, and that worked very well - lots of room, and people could move out to the chairs if they wanted to sit, or could stand in the shade. The reception was in the Lodge, and it was great! Although the Lodge allegedly seats 120 or so, we had 100 plus three food stations, and it was just the right size.

Overall, the staff was very responsive to our questions and concerns, and worked seamlessly with our caterer to ensure that our wedding was relaxed, fun, and easy for our guests.

This venue hit exactly the notes we were looking for. It is an amazing outdoor setting that was inexpensive but stood up well to my partner's amazing aesthetic vision. Walking into that room filled with people we love, feeling the warmth of those walls, and then watching fireflies off the deck was an amazing experience.

The venue is rustic and natural and the lodge was a perfect sized venue for our wedding of 100 people. It's located right off 270, which makes getting there easy and it's far enough from the road to not have a lot of traffic noise. There is a large field behind the lodge and a playground around the corner- perfect for setting up lawn games and make places to run/play for kids. The lodge has vaulted ceilings and natural wood, with a large stone fireplace (which you can use although our wedding day was too hot for that), and we were able to minimize decorations because the venue itself was so beautiful. The staff when booking and the staff on site the day of was wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. And the cost is very affordable because it's owned by Montgomery County- a great value. The space was exactly what we were looking for and provided a perfect place for our day.

The lodge was beautiful and the staff were most helpful and accommodating; it was a great place to get married and our guests just loved it! We felt it was an ideal place for our tastes and theme for our wedding. it was ideal for our wedding size and I highly recommend them not only for the value but also for small to medium-sized weddings and events. You will love the cozy atmosphere!

This was an absolutely beautiful venue for our wedding. The ability to have the ceremony and cocktail hours out in the tent and then move inside for dinner and the reception was perfect. Sue and Rhea were our main contacts and they were very easy to work with and ensured we had all the information we needed to make our day perfect. This is a great venue, the only let down was that the time constraints are a little tough, so if you do not plan properly it can be a problem getting set up, having time to enjoy and getting your guests out in time for clean up. So if you only have it for the 8 hour block, make sure you plan well and have enough people to assist with set up and breakdown. That being said I would certainly recommend the venue and I would host another event there if I had an occasion to.

My husband and I were thrilled with the Lodge! It was such a beautiful venue, and as Montgomery County residents, we were able to get a discount. Rhea was especially awesome - super responsive and clear with the timeline. They even let us add a couple of extra hours to our contract length so that we could have more time for dancing after dinner.

We were looking for a place that would have a nice indoor/outdoor flow, and the Lodge definitely has that! We did our ceremony on the lawn outside, then cocktail hour under the tented terrace (no additional fee for the tent!) and dinner/speeches inside the Lodge itself in front of the big fireplace. We then went back outside under the tent for more dancing. A couple of months before our wedding, the Lodge also installed its own bistro lights in and outside the Lodge and even along the inner rim of the tent - they looked great (and it was one less thing we needed to worry about!)

Finally, for people with limited mobility, the Lodge has a paved path from the front entrance, around the left-hand side leading down the hill and connecting to the terrace. We had a couple of guests utilize this rather than brave the deck stairs, and I was glad they had that option. Again, we couldn't have been happier with the Lodge!

The staff at Lodge of Little Seneca Creek were simply outstanding!! They were so flexible about changing our day of plans (a hurricane hit VA the day of the wedding and we couldn't use the tent outside, but the Lodge staff were flexible and amazing!) Melissa was super responsive and professional.

10/10 recommend the lodge at little Seneca Creek. They always responded within 24 hours of emails and were more on time than we were for walkthrough, rehearsal, etc. All our guest were amazed by how big the inside of the lodge really is and told us they would love to come back for another gathering 😊

We hosted a full day retreat for our organization and the blend of spaces (main lodge and outdoor tent pavilion) worked wonderfully for our agenda and for getting groups up and moving. The main lodge was spacious and rustic and was great for our full sessions (80 employees). Staff was very communicative and flexible with helping decide on floor plans, tables, and AV/tech set up. Plenty of parking. If the day was less hot we would have taken advantage of the park-like outdoor grounds as well-- beautiful setting and only about 40 min from Northwest D.C.

Everything in this place is exceptionally beautiful. Great staff, shout it to Brandon Ward for being pendant of our special day during a worldwide pandemic. But we did it!

This is an excellent place to have your wedding! Not only is it beautiful, but if you are planning to have an outdoor wedding there is a built-in back up plan in the case of rain, that still allows you to have the feel of an outdoor wedding. The team is very responsive and easy to work with and was very helpful leading up to the wedding day and on the wedding day itself. it is a very good value compared to similar venues in the general area.

The Lodge was the perfect setting for our rustic fall wedding. We held our ceremony on the lawn, our cocktail hour in the tent and our reception inside -- it was great to have three separate spaces, and to know that we could move our outdoor ceremony into the tent if it rained.

As other reviewers have noted, communication with the park staff in the time leading up to the wedding was at times a headache, in terms of difficulty getting a response or lack of communication between staff members. However, The Lodge was apparently aware that this was an issue, and a few weeks before our wedding a new manager took over to address the customer service concerns -- she was absolutely fantastic and prompt with communication, and a huge help in clearing up our questions even in the short time we worked with her, so I think that the communication issues will be much less of an issue for future couples having their weddings at The Lodge.

We had our wedding at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek in mid November and we are very happy we picked this venue. The grounds around the Lodge are gorgeous and the possibility of having an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception is great. The Lodge itself has a great atmosphere. The stone fireplace is stunning.

Absolutely beautiful locale! Perfect for our fall wedding and at a SUPER reasonable price! We had some issues in the weeks before due to staff changes and scheduling conflicts, but they were very attentive and really tried to make it up to us to be sure we were 100% satisfied. All of our guests said how much they loved the intimate feel of the place and the fireplace. It was absolutely perfect for our needs and made for such a beautiful day

The venue is beautiful. Great for a smaller-scale, romantic wedding. The setting is perfect for pictures. The fireplace is gorgeous, and where we had our first look, as well as the stair case outside. The staff is very communicative and they don't rush you at all when viewing the grounds. Easy to make appointments with also. I also love that they give you an hour for a rehearsal before the wedding. Staff was great, and the set up for my wedding was flawless. It was exactly how I pictured my wedding to be. :)

My husband and I were married at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek this past weekend. We could not have asked for a more beautiful venue!

The biggest draw for us was the obvious natural beauty of the property and the wonderful rustic feel of the Lodge itself. It required so little decoration to be a magical place for our wedding.

We also really appreciated the wide range of options provided by the different spaces on the property, especially considering the reasonable costs of the various rental options. We had our ceremony out on the lawn at sunset, our cocktail hour under their beautiful tent (we loved having the option of booking the tent for just 3 hours rather than the full 8), and our reception inside the Lodge itself. We knew that regardless of what the weather did, we would be able to share a beautiful and comfortable day with our guests, which was very important to us.

My only cautions would be: First, the Park Center staffers may not always be the most helpful in terms of customer service. No one was ever rude or unfriendly by any means, and the staffers on hand at our wedding were extremely helpful and worked very hard to make our day special. But in the weeks leading up to the wedding, there were some small organizational issues that caused a few headaches. So maybe either a wedding coordinator or some vendors familiar with the venue will be more helpful to you than the staffers themselves during your planning process. Second, the policies can be a little inflexible -- they are strict about the 8 hour time limit unless you want to pay more by the hour, and rehearsal dinners can be tricky to schedule as they are done on a first dibs basis. Neither of those policies caused issues for us but they are something to be aware of.

Those caveats aside, I would still highly recommend the Lodge! We absolutely loved it.

Gorgeous! And such a good price. It's pretty popular, so it was tough to schedule a rehearsal. But other than that, it was a fantastic place and absolutely the right choice for us.

I love the look and feel of the the venue. Our ceremony was so beautiful being outside with the lovely view. Hawks were flying around in the background with a nice crisp breeze blowing. Inside was very rustic with the fireplace and log cabin feel. I also liked the fact that the ceremony would have been just as nice if it had rained because plan B was to have it in front of the fire place, inside. Something I would change would be buying more time for set up/clean up. I felt that even having 2 hours to set up wasn't enough, and just 1 hour at the end was really rushed as well. But besides that,it was magical and would highly recommended it.

This venue offered the exact look and feel we wanted for my daughters wedding. The stone fireplace was an added touch for the casually elegant feel. Due to our time of year the access for guests to the huge wrap around deck and beautiful grounds were not available; however it didn't take anything away from a beautiful evening and great reception. The contact was late for the rehearsal the day before by about 15 minutes- leaving us waiting- but that was the only snag in our entire experience.

The lodge at seneca is beautiful, it is currently going to be under renovation, so it will be an even better wedding venue next year i was told.
We wanted our ceremony outside, but it rained, we rented a tent and the staff at seneca set up our chairs in the tent. Unfortunately it poured something fierce (hurricane...) so our tent flooded.
The staff around was helpful with our caterer in moving all our tables so we could have the ceremony inside.
The only negative thing is that the downstairs area for: bridal area is completely unfinished, they are working on it this year. And there is no downstairs restroom. So while everything was being moved around, our bridal party was basically hanging out in an unfinished loading dock.
And while the main room is airconditioned, it was not cranked on high before the wedding, so it was really really hot. If you use this venue, it is beautiful- ask that the room temperature be set down way low before your guests arrive.

The Lodge is a great venue, especially if you're a Montgomery County resident. The staff is friendly and helpful, although not overly responsive through e-mails. Tables, chairs and outdoor chairs are provided with the rental. The Lodge is beautiful, but unfortunately in the Spring and Summer there are a lot of stink bugs and carpenter bees.

The lodge was perfect for our wedding! We had about 100 people and it was amazing. We did the ceremony on the lawn, cocktail hour under the tent, dinner inside, and dancing under the tent. It was the perfect size. We went with the lodge because we love the outdoors - hiking, skiing, etc. and we felt this really encompassed our life. We took photos behind the property near the creek, and it was an amazing backdrop. The lodge was easy to work with and was an incredible price. We would do it all over again.

The wonderful thing about this location is all of the options you have. I don't know how many other venues in the area have indoor, outdoor, and tented space for such a good price. Having all these options available really gives you tons of choices for organizing your day, and gives lots of "safety nets" for any situation that could arise (COVID, rain, etc.) The spaces are also all so beautiful on their own that you dont necessarily need a ton of decoration - we just used candles and florals.

The only challenge we had with the venue was some of the communication with staff. All staff members were incredibly polite and professional, and we loved working with Brandon and Yulia, but the communication with other staff members was not always clear or concise. We had a full service planner and had directed all communication to her, yet the lodge frequently reached out to us instead, often with detailed questions I couldn't answer which was just an unnecessary level of stress for us. Additionally, when we asked questions it was sometimes difficult to get a clear answer. It was great that there was a lot of flexibility, but at the same time, it would've been nice to get a clear answer to basic questions like, "what time do we need to inform you if we choose to go with the rain plan?" Overall I am incredibly happy with the experience as the wedding was beautiful, but I would not say the lodge was a super easy vendor to work with.

Couldn't recommend this place any higher. It blew us away for what we got for the price compared to other venues in the area and it had a lot of extras that saved on our budget in other areas. Best parts in my opinion- you get 2 entirely separate spaces for ceremony and reception so you don't have to awkwardly cram people into a small place for a cocktail hour while they rush to change it over and it allowed our vendors to start cleaning up early. It also came with a tent which we ended up being so appreciate of because it did rain on our wedding day and that's another $1,000-$2,000 value plus it came with all the chairs and tables- another cost that can really add up. We barely had to decorate because the inside of the lodge and outside were so beautiful already and the creek made for AMAZING pics. Another HUGE money saver- you can bring your own alcohol as long as you have a certified bartender which meant an open bar all night for a fraction of what other places were charging for 2 hours. Staff support was ok but it's a public park property so wasn't expecting too much there. Only slight negatives were they scheduled a tour for another couple to see the property at the same time as our rehearsal ceremony and rushed us out which was a little awkward but in the end not a huge deal. Also unfortunately it did rain on our wedding day and while the tent provided cover the water was coming into the tent from the sides- simply having some sandbags to go along the edge would go a long way I think. Overall would HIGHLY recommend this place!!

The Lodge was so wonderful and beautiful for our wedding and reception. We loved inviting our guests to such a beautiful place. It was close enough to accommodations, but far enough away that the city wasn’t so close by. The quality of service, responsiveness and professionalism was outstanding-the staff I worked with was very accommodating and helpful, they answered questions and got back to me in a timely manner. It took a few visits to the lodge to see the different set-ups and ideas, they have open houses to show ideas—I was really excited to have the twinkling lights outside on the back deck, but they were taken down just before my wedding, I was told they would be there and they weren’t. I learned that staff at the renting office and the open house is not the same and do not have the same answers—and I was told different things by different staff. The value was great, we could not find another venue that would accommodate our budget like the lodge did, we had both our wedding ceremony and reception there and it really fell right into our plans. The flexibility was a little tricky—we had only 8 hours to decorate, have the ceremony & reception, clean up and are out—decorating and cleanup was chaotic because of this. It would be nice and accommodating if the facility rented to wedding parties on a daily/weekend rate versus an hourly rate—this way parties could decorate in the morning, go get ready and come back in time to have the wedding and reception and cleanup without feeling like we were rushing. The extra hourly rate was not worth it. Just a thought for you brides that are doing a lot of the planning yourselves—great rate and great service, but you really need to plan out your day. I hope that in years to come, my husband and I will be enjoying the Lodge at Little Seneca creek for family gatherings and anniversaries to come. I would recommend this venue to anyone who enjoys beautiful scenery with a natural look and feel.

The lodge is a wonderful location for a mid-size wedding. We hade about 110 guests and thought it was a great fit. The setting is beautiful and secluded. There is also a tent on site that you can rent as part of your package. Throughout-out our planning process we talked with many different coordinators who were pretty helpful, especially once management changed and Melissa Bonds and Kristen were in charge. Melissa was awesome!

We decided to move the ceremony inside(it was originally supposed to be outside under the tent) due to the horrible weather. However, about 1 hour before the ceremony,the rain stopped and we changed plans really quickly and moved the ceremony outside. My bridal party worked it and made it happen but they told me later that the day-of-staff were rude to them. I understand that they had to do a lot of work very quickly ( wipe down all of the chairs outside and move the arch very quickly) but my bridal party was thrown off by their attitudes. I was not present for these exchanges so I am not sure what actually happened. Other than that, the lodge was open on time, clean, and everything was in place for our vendors.

Overall, the wedding and reception went very well and guests had a great time. The rain held just until after the ceremony and the reception was held inside. Many guests later came up to me and complimented the venue. The Bridal suite was also recently added to the downstairs(along with a mens and womens bathroom) and was ready to use for the special day which was an added bonus! I think this is a great location and beautiful and it made us very happy to have our special day

Beautiful place to have your wedding. we used the tent and the lodge. wedding was October 2014. Melissa is very nice to work with.

The Lodge is a really picturesque venue and quite reasonably priced. We went to several open houses in the months before our wedding to get different ideas of what we want to do with the space. All our guests loved the natural beauty of the Lodge, which requires very little additional decoration. The two staff members that were on-site the day of our wedding was great to work with.

While we were ultimately happy with how everything turned out, it was very stressful dealing with the Lodge staff in the months leading up to the wedding. When we had a question about something in the contract or when an issue came up, it would sometimes take several days for someone to respond via email. Also, we would often receive conflicting answers to our questions.

I will not take away from the beauty and character of the lodge!!!! We felt this would be the perfect spot for our upcoming wedding. Location is perfect, price for the venue was in line for our budget. My fiance had been here for a previous event so she knew how perfect this would be for our ceremony with its charm. Our excitement was dashed by apparent lack of training and unwillingness to right a wrong.

After our decision was made this is where we wanted our ceremony we took to their website to start gathering information. Knowing we were keeping things small and simple with only 50 guests we knew we only needed a 6 hour block. We also knew that to save a little money off peak would be the way to go so we planned for a Sunday in March. Their rental page was helpful with a lot of information we needed but we had some questions. My fiance called and spoke with a representative and explained our vision. Our group of 50 would qualify for a small event therefor a 6 hour block was doable and we were given a price over the phone. She checked that the Sunday in March (off peak month and off peak day) we were looking at was available and it was. We made an appointment to tour the lodge as I had never seen the inside.

In the meantime we started working on caterers, DJ, flowers, photographer, cake, all of the details that go into planing a wedding. We were lining everything up for that Sunday in March as we were told over the phone it was available. At one point the caterer expressed they may need a little more time. Since the website for the lodge indicated they offer extra hour rates my fiance called back and spoke with the same representative and explained the situation with the caterer needing an extra hour. She was told there would be no problem with adding the extra hour for $255 therefore making our 6 hour block a 7 hour block. PERFECT!!!! We told the caterer they had their extra hour and we moved on with planning.

The day of our tour came. I came with my checkbook ready to put down a deposit because I knew this was our spot. The representative who gave us the tour, not the same representative my fiance spoke to no less than 4 times prior to this point making sure pricing and time were good to go, was very pleasant. She took her time in walking us through the lodge and showing us what they have to offer. Again, my fiance had already seen all of this. The tour was all for my benefit. Then we sat down and started talking and that's where the problems started.

She opened her binder to a page that had our information. First she said the wrong date for our ceremony. We quickly responded, 'no, not November but March". She looked at the calendar on her phone and replied we were on the calendar for March, not sure where November came from. Not a biggie so we pressed forward. Then we started talking about the time and she said 8 hours. NO, we originally asked for 6 hours but then needed 7 and confirmed on the phone with the other representative this would be OK for the additional fee and was told yes, no problem. She told us no, that's not how they do it and at the point told us the representative we had spoken to over the phone was relatively new and was wrong. So then we move on to pricing and again was told something different than was we were told over the phone over at least 4 different phone calls. At this point we just had to stop and get everything figured out while explaining we already had our vendors lined up. We were told an email would be sent that night to a supervisor to get clarification on the times and pricing that were now not matching with what we were told and that maybe they would make an exception for us since we were told the wrong information at least 4 times.

We leave the appointment feeling optimistic. Hopefully they will do the right thing and move forward with what we quoted over the phone. The following day my fiance receives an email saying they would not honor what their representative quoted us multiple times over the phone. My finance then called and spoke with the supervisor who emailed her and was conferenced in with 1 or 2 other individuals including the representative she spoke with previously confirming our date and pricing. The end story we were told the representative we spoke to was new, gave us the wrong information, and no they would not honor what was misquoted to us!

We are now cancelling contracts with our vendors because of the unprofessionalism of The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek and its management. Our plans for a dream wedding have been ruined!!

I truly hope your event at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek goes as you dreamed because ours did not!!

We booked with Seneca Creek which ended up being perfect for our ceremony, guests. We also got married in the winter so it was relieving knowing it would be indoors just in case of inclement weather (which it did end up snowing later in the evening). However, we were not happy with the customer service. The people working there were not very kind and made us feel like we were an inconvenience to them. So as long as you're able to push through the rude behavior, this could be a great fit.

The venue is beautiful and this is why we chose it to have our wedding. The staff in charge however are absolutely awful. They require all these deadlines and just look at your plans a day or two before your event. They even told us that they had set up tents where we were supposed to have our ceremony for an event the day after ours. We were so upset about this and they offered us no accommodation and even told us they didn't want to make their staff come out again to set up the other event the following day! How ridiculous. We had to go out the morning of our wedding and spend money to put carpet down as an isle in the middle of the field! They were not even sorry or apologetic and could have absolutely cared less. They also told us they never received our layout and when we showed up on the morning of our wedding a copy of the emails I sent as well as attachments were sitting on tables. The view is gorgeous but it is just not worth it. Spend the couple thousand more and get the customer service that you deserve especially the days following your wedding! The employee assigned to our event also spilled water on our DJs MacBook and it caused the music to stop in the middle of my walking down the "isle" with my dad! His damages to his laptop were quoted $1,300!
