I would truly recommend Liz for your big day or any special occasion! She did such a beautiful job with my makeup, and it lasted perfectly all day. She brought my inspiration photos to life and really took the time to help me feel confident and comfortable. On top of that, she’s so kind and easy to talk to, she made the whole experience even more special!! -

Wedding makeup of my dreams!
I cannot recommend Liz enough! She was an absolute dream to work with and hands down one of the best out there.
Liz completely understood the vision I wanted- she created a glowing, polished look that simply enhanced my own features and left me feeling like the most beautiful version of myself on our wedding day. Not to mention she is also the KINDEST person and truly cares about her clients. I would book Liz again in a heartbeat and am already looking for another excuse to have my makeup done with her!

I am so happy I found Liz for my elopement ceremony! She did my hair and makeup and also did makeup for my sister. I came in from out of town so we didn’t have the chance to meet before with a hair/makeup trial.
Liz is incredibly thoughtful and attentive and talked through my inspo pics to help me articulate what kind of look I wanted. I’d never had makeup done before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Liz talked me through everything and was a true pleasure to chat with for our time together. She also used every ounce of time to make sure the look was perfect and checked in with me several times during the session to make sure I was comfortable with how it was coming together. My hair and makeup were gorgeous and I’ve never felt prettier. My look held up even when we got caught in a terrible downpour after our dinner celebration. -

I cannot recommend Liz Black Makeup enough! She was such a dream to work with for my wedding. From the moment we connected, Liz was incredibly accommodating, professional, and kind. She made the entire experience stress-free and fun—not just for me, but for my entire bridal party.
Liz has an amazing talent for enhancing natural beauty while still making you feel like the absolute best version of yourself. I’ve truly never felt more beautiful in my entire life. She listened to what I wanted, gave great suggestions, and absolutely nailed the look. Everyone looked stunning, and the makeup held up flawlessly all day and night!

From my first inquiry, to my trial to my wedding day, Liz was such a gem to work with. She made me feel immediately comfortable and safe to give feedback. We had the ultimate girl chat too which made it so much more enjoyable. I had a smaller wedding and it was after Hurricane Helene so things were a bit chaotic leading up to our day and Liz’s support and professionalism never wavered. She listened to my requests and we tweaked a few things on my wedding day and it turned out better than I could’ve hoped for. She got creative to bring my vision to lift and I felt so beautiful and confident. She immediately felt like a friend and someone that I knew for a long time. I will use Liz for any future event or photo shoot I have. Especially for the girl chat! -

You won't find any better than Liz, and I mean that sincerely. From the moment I reached out to her about doing my wedding makeup, she was incredibly sweet, communicative, and excited to jump on board! I knew for a long time I'd want her to do my makeup when the day came (check out her Instagram and you'll see why) and it's truly the best decision I could have made. Not only is she insanely talented, but she is such a wonderful person to work with and be around. She knocked every look out of the park- my wedding glam, my SIL's soft glam, my 70-year old mother's glowing visage- there is nothing she can't execute perfectly. Everyone was so happy, and loved having her with us. I can't wait to have another excuse to sit in her chair! -

Liz is not only talented with makeup but also a great person!!! I am a bridal hair and makeup artist myself so I was overly analytical and not gonna lie, a little nervous, when choosing my beauty professionals. Her email correspondence prior to meeting her was professional and quick to respond which I appreciate. Then meeting her in person I was immediately at ease because she’s so sweet! She just has a way about her that makes you feel comfortable. And of course I loved my makeup! I felt so beautiful all day and got all the compliments. Who knew getting your hair and makeup done could be so much fun! Thank you so much Liz! -

LOOK NO FURTHER! Hire Liz and you'll be glad you did! Prior to my wedding, Liz had done my makeup when I was a bridesmaid for two other girlfriends' weddings. As soon as "he put a ring on it" Liz was the very first vendor I contacted to let her know about our engagement and to check her schedule for the next year. I knew I wanted Liz again for wedding makeup. She does an amazing job and you can trust her with all of your makeup needs. -

Where do I start? Liz is not only an amazing makeup artist, but she is kind, professional, and great company. She made my best friends, family, and me feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful. Literally — I’ve never felt more beautiful in my entire life than on my wedding day. Not only that, but I completely changed the look I was going for from my trial in comparison to what I decided for wedding day. She is versatile, and just down right amazing. BOOK HER! I also attached a picture of me from morning of my wedding with no makeup + an eye mask on so you can see her magic! :) -

Choosing Liz to do my wedding makeup was one of the best decisions I made throughout the wedding process!!!! She is friendly, kind, personable, and just so fun to be around. She is calm and peaceful but fun at the same time, which is the exact personality I wanted to be around during my wedding day. She listened to what I wanted and made tweaks to make sure it was exactly what I envisioned. I had the trial and wedding makeup done at her pool house which was absolutely gorgeous! Truly can't recommend Liz enough!!! -

Can’t recommend Liz highly enough!
Liz and her assistant Rikki were an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! Not only is Liz ridiculously talented with makeup, she is extremely personable and sincere, and I could tell from the time that my mom and I met her to do our trials just how much she cares about her clients and how passionate she is about making you feel beautiful and bringing your vision to life. Both Liz and Rikki did an incredible job with the makeup of all 9 of us girls on the big day. They were both absolute sweethearts and made everyone feel so well heard with what they wanted for their look, and everyone felt very relaxed and at ease in their chairs. They made getting ready so stress-free while also keeping us right on track with where we needed to be scheduling-wise. Despite plenty of happy tears, the makeup also held up so well and was fantastic for photos and videos all day and night. If you are thinking about booking Liz for your wedding, do it! I know I am so, so happy we did! -

Best makeup artist ever
I could not have asked for a better makeup artist than Liz Black. From the beginning she was extremely friendly and made coordinating a breeze. I sent her some inspo pics and she literally NAILED it… I’ve never felt so beautiful in my life! On top of her insane talent, spending the afternoon with her was like chatting with an old friend. She made me feel so at ease and even followed up that evening to ask how everything had gone. I could not recommend her more!! -

My most beautiful!
I can’t say enough about how wonderful Liz is!! I found her through Instagram and knew instantly I wanted her to make me feel my most beautiful on my wedding day. She has a completely unique ability to accentuate your own beauty without making you look “caked on” or like every other bride out there. She is a true artist and creates a look unique to you, giving you the confidence that shines through 💖 side note: she also used a TOTALLY affordable lipstick that I could easily buy myself, or just use the freshen up sample she gave everyone!
And if she wasn’t already talented enough, Liz is one of the sweetest souls you will meet, and will be a calming and joyful presence on your wedding day!! She worked with me so patiently over a YEAR of coordinating a trial date through multiple time zones and was so understanding and flexible with my limited schedule.
Having Liz make me and my best girls feel our most beautiful on the most important day of my life was one of the easiest and best decisions going into my day. Cannot recommend her highly enough 💖👰🏻 THANK YOU LIZ!!!!! -

Liz was beyond amazing! I was lucky enough to find her through her Instagram page and she immediately responded and we easily struck up a conversation. We decided to do an elopement ceremony but still wanted to feel glamorous and Liz was the perfect person to make my look come to life!
With a 2-year-old and a baby on the way, Liz made sure the day was about ME! She made me feel so relaxed and without hesitation, I just trusted her to do her magic. Needless to say, she exceeded my expectations! -

Look no further! Amazing Work and Very Professional
I felt like the most beautiful bride! Liz nailed my make up and I looked exactly how I envisioned on my wedding day! She also helped make my bridesmaids look amazing and feel their best. Liz is incredibly talented, amazing to work with, and extremely professional! As someone who doesn’t typically wear a lot of make up, I wanted a natural look. Liz used airbrush to accomplish this and my makeup stayed in place all night long! I was an out of state bride and it was tough finding someone that I could trust. We did one trial and by the end of our trial, I knew I found the right person! We also had to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19. Liz was very flexible and when the day came, showed up with her mask on and worked her magic. I highly recommend hiring Liz for your event MUA! -

Liz is professional, fun, and most importantly incredibly talented!
I previously worked with Liz while as a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding, and I loved my makeup so much I knew I wanted her to do my makeup as a bride and for my bridal party.
Liz is personable and so fun to be around which definitely helped make me feel comfortable at my trial and then on the day of my wedding. She was super receptive to all my thoughts and ideas about my wedding look and it turned out even better than I imagined! I felt like a literal princess - not to mention my entire bridal party looked smokin'!!
I would recommend Liz to any bride in a heartbeat and I can't wait for an excuse for her to do my makeup again! -

Incredible... you need her!
I booked with Liz without even doing a trial because I had an out of state wedding and was running out of time. I saw her work online and knew she would be good. I had no idea how incredible she would be though. I got married in a very remote part of NC and Liz made the trek. She arrived on-time with bells on. It was an early start and she came in looking gorgeous and very professional. I had 6 makeup services needed (me, my mom, and 4 bridesmaids). Liz truly made everyone feel so good. Each look was customized to what our wishes were from more natural beauty to full blown glam. My mom looked so beautiful and had the perfect age-appropriate look. My girls were flawless! I'm not the most confident person, but I honestly felt so pretty on my wedding day, exactly how a bride should feel! What also made my experience so great with Liz is that she is efficient. We actually finished ahead of schedule, which was a huge stress relief for me. Also, my entire day from pictures to ceremony to reception was all outside in the summer. It was hot and humid in the Smokey's. Our makeup did not move, smudge, or need any touch-ups throughout the night. Just remember, you will have your pictures as memories for the rest of your life and what a difference your makeup can have on how they turn out. Our photographer (Laurie Wilson- see bride and groom pic) was so impressed and she has worked with several wonderful MUAs. Liz is, hands down, the best artist I've ever worked with. I cannot recommend her enough. Down the road, when I plan to have more professional photos done, I'm making arrangements with Liz! She is unbelievably talented and the absolute sweetest. I'm so thankful that my matron of honor found her. -

Amazing work, even better person
If you’re looking for the the most talented, kind, and fun makeup artist Liz is it. I was really worried about finding a great makeup artist because it’s such an important part of the day and the photographs and as soon as I saw liz’s work I knew I wanted to book her. The makeup quality the day of was absolutely amazing and the makeup lasted all day (I had an outdoor wedding on a warm June day) when I would normally have to touch up multiple times on a normal day. Liz was also so flexible with us when we had some bumps in the road. More than anything, she was such a joy to be around on my wedding day. She helped make the hectic day fun and she completely kept me from having a breakdown when the florist brought the wrong flowers. Liz is an amazing makeup artist and an even more wonderful person. If you’re thinking of using her services don’t hesitate - you won’t regret it! -

5 stars all the way!
Liz was absolutely the best choice for my wedding makeup!! She made me feel completely at ease and really knew her stuff. I never wear makeup and she knew exactly what I would need to show off my best features. I wasn't able to have a trial so I showed her pictures of what I liked and my makeup was everything I could have hoped for and more. She was essential to making my day as flawless as it was and I cannot recommend her enough-if it was possible to give more than 5 stars I would! -

Makeup Genius with Calming Energy
I have never felt more beautiful in my life. Liz exceeded all of my expectations of how I would look and feel on my big day. Asheville was a destination wedding for me, so we didn't have time to do a trial, but I was confident that she would be able to give me the look i wanted based the videos she posts on instagram (@liz_black). And let me tell you she did not disappoint.. not only did she make myself and all of my bridesmaids look like total babes, she was also able to fix all of their hair AND help my mom cover up a tragic black eye after she bumped her head earlier in the week. Look no further peeps.. this is your girl. -

Amazing makeup!!
Liz was absolutely amazing! She did my makeup along with my 7 bridesmaids and the mothers. Liz did stunning makeup for each and every one of them!
We did a trial run before the day and she was very flexible worked with my schedule. I live in Raleigh and getting back to Asheville wasn’t always easy but she made it work perfectly.
Most importantly Liz is so talented and fun to work with! She listened to everything I told her and I absolutely loved my makeup. She is is to talk to and makes the process fun.
The day of the wedding Liz was there bright and early and ready to go. She had a great set up and was very professional. She listened to what each of the girls wanted and made everyone look sooo amazing!!

I had the pleasure of working with Liz on my wedding day and it was everything I could’ve hoped for! Liz also drove to my apartment for a trial run before my wedding and was so determined on making me the happiest and most comfortable bride on my wedding day. I do not wear a lot of makeup but I wanted the wedding glow so she was determined to give me the look that I wanted. (She succeeded!) On my wedding day we had to get ready in one room at my venue with myself and 13 bridesmaids and Liz didn’t miss a beat in the crowded, loud room. She is THE sweetest and I felt like I had known her for years. My bridesmaids makeup looked so amazing, everyone was so happy! And of course I was so happy with mine! I highly recommend Liz’s services and wish her the best in her career!

If you are considering booking Liz for your makeup, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!? Liz was one of the best decisions I ever made! Think about it, every single photo of you, every last one, shows your makeup. If your makeup is sub-par, every last photo of you is sub-par. With Liz, every last photo of you will be your favorite photo of you! I want to highlight three things about Liz.... One, her skill. She knows skin, texture, color. She looks at you for a second and knows how to make you stunning. Combine that with my second point...she listens. She keeps you as you, but makes you fantastic! She knows how to give you a dramatic look, she knows how to give you a natural look, she knows how to go if you have no idea what you want, but you like this celebrity but not this celebrity! Every woman is unique and Liz absolutely nailed the looks and desires of every last one of the women in my bridal party! Third and final point, Liz's demeanor. She is an absolute delight! She immediately bonded with all of us, moms and girls alike, had a great sense of humor, took interest in us, kept the conversation going, all while staying right on time and mastering her art! I said it once and I'll say it again, if you are reading this because you're considering booking Liz, I sincerely promise that you will never regret your decision!!
