I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Liz as a wedding planner. Since we were planning our wedding in Chicago while living in Utah, we needed someone we could completely trust—and Liz exceeded every expectation.
She was incredibly hands-on throughout the entire process, always responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making our vision come to life. Every detail was perfectly aligned with what we had talked about, and she executed everything flawlessly.
Liz was also amazing at navigating the logistics and even working with my family and parents, which made the entire experience so much smoother. I especially appreciated how she handled all the nitty-gritty details and was confidently direct when needed—it truly made a huge difference in keeping everything on track.
As someone with a very “type B” brain, I relied on her guidance so much, and she led the entire process with grace, patience, and expertise. She practically handled everything for us and was worth every single penny.
Her connections in the Chicago wedding world are incredible, and I trusted her recommendations completely—and I’m so glad I did.
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and that is largely because of Liz. We are beyond grateful for her and truly could not recommend her more highly. -

Lindsay Gaeta - Drake Hotel
I am struggling to put into words how to thank Lindsay Gaeta and her team and acknowledge every single detail she knocked out of the park and executed on our wedding day!
Throughout the planning process there were so many little behind the scenes details she saved me time on which I am so appreciative! I will miss seeing her monthly on our planning calls! I don’t plan to get married again anytime soon 😂 but I do hope our paths cross again!
I am speechless about her help from the rehearsal to the very last minute of shutting down the after party!! The top 3 highlights that people mentioned to me on the wedding day were 1. Dad’s speech, 2. Florals, 3. How hard she HUSTLED!!! My bridesmaids and close family constantly approached me on the wedding day with sentiments of “wow, she’s good!!”
She exceeded our expectations and anticipated our every move! I have close family in the hospitality business (who are the harshest critics about everything in the event planning world) and were over the top satisfied with her commitment and follow through to make the day as seamless as possible!
I am sure there were many hiccups that day that were not brought to my attention and for that, I give Lindsay full credit! I was able to relax, be present and have a B+ personality that evening instead of my typical A- for all things attention to detail! I felt completely comfortable ‘handing Lindsay the reigns’ and entrusting she would handle everything as necessary, which she did!!! -

If you want a flawless wedding, Liz Kriegshaber is your person!
When our daughter got engaged, we knew the first step was finding the right wedding consultant. We had attended many incredible weddings and received several recommendations, but I’d seen too many planners who were either overly aggressive or completely underwhelming. Then I met Liz—and within five minutes, I knew she was the one.
From that moment on, Liz exceeded every expectation. She balanced our endless emails and competing opinions with grace, patience, and humor, turning all our ideas into a celebration that was beyond our wildest dreams.
Liz is meticulous, organized, and deeply respected by every vendor she works with. She reviewed contracts as if she were an attorney and negotiated on our behalf with intelligence and confidence. Because of her, we never once felt overwhelmed or uncertain—we knew we were in the best possible hands.

Lindsay from Liven It Up
Lindsay was our rock throughout the entire wedding planning process. She went above and beyond to make everything feel easy and stress-free, and always handled our many ideas and opinions with so much patience and calmness. She was so easy to reach at any point when we needed her. On the day of our wedding, she brought this incredible sense of calm and reassurance that allowed me to fully relax and be present. Our dream wedding came to life even more beautifully than we could have imagined. We are so grateful for her and can’t recommend her enough!

Lindsay was the BEST
Hiring Lindsay as our wedding planner was truly one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire process. From our very first consultation, I was blown away. I had calls with about eight different planners, and Lindsay was the first one I spoke with. No one else came close to the level of professionalism, warmth, and competence she brought to the table.
She was incredibly organized, punctual, and knowledgeable. Throughout the planning process, Lindsay stayed ahead of everything. She proactively reached out to our other vendors, helped us find the right people to bring our vision to life, and made sure every detail was thoughtfully accounted for. She also knew when to just listen, which I really appreciated during moments of stress or overwhelm. She was always calm, supportive, and solutions-oriented.
And on the day of our wedding? Absolute rockstar. Of course, there were a few unexpected hiccups (as there always are!), but Lindsay handled them with total grace and calm. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Because of her, we got to be fully present and enjoy every moment of our day.
I cannot recommend her enough. If you’re looking for someone who will truly have your back, keep everything running smoothly, and care about your wedding as much as you do... look no further than Lindsay. -

Dream Wedding
Hiring Liz from Liven It Up Events was, without a doubt, the single best decision we made throughout our entire wedding planning process. From our very first conversation, we knew Liz was the perfect fit for us. She took the time to truly understand who we are, which built an immediate sense of trust and comfort. Liz was organized, communicative, detail-oriented and is an absolute expert in this field. Liz’s planning timeline allowed us to get everything done without feeling overwhelmed or feel decision fatigue. She didn’t just understand our vision; she elevated it beyond what we could have ever imagined.
We were really intentional with wanting to hire vendors who were not only incredible at what they do, but add joy to our wedding day - just like Liz herself! Her recommendations helped us build a true dream team of vendors. With Liz, every detail was thought of and every minute was planned. Thanks to her, wedding planning felt fun and every single moment was exciting.
When it came to the actual day, Liz's preparation made all the difference. We were able to soak up every second of our wedding without a single worry, knowing that she had everything under control. An amazing team and a beautiful wedding experience!
As an event manager, I recently had the pleasure of working with Tiffany Wilson and Lola Isabel for a summer wedding at the MCA. They were beyond professional, while making the experience fun and joyful as well.
It was so lovely to see the couple enjoy their special day from start to finish, without any major worries or stressful moments. The bride had a smile on her face the entire evening, and there was positive feedback from everyone involved, vendors and guests as well. This can only be achieved with the help of an amazing planner and day-of team, who are attentive, communicative, and kind.
I highly recommend Liven It Up Events for your wedding and event planning needs and I can't wait for the next opportunity to work with Tiffany and Lola, as you can be sure that they will execute an incredible experience for their clients. -

Wedding at the Blackstone 2024
I think it’s safe to say that our wedding would not have been as magical if we had not had all of the support from Tiffany Wilson at Liven It Up. We interviewed several different planners and ended up choosing to work with Tiffany because she had the energy & excitement that matched our own AND she came off very professional and prepared.
We worked together for about 20 months ahead of our wedding. She created a comprehensive planning document for us to follow that we reviewed together over a year before our date when we initially outlined our budget. It always felt like Tiffany understood what we were trying to go for (in terms of style, cost, etc.) and she offered a bunch of vendor recommendations. We had regular calls to discuss the next focus areas we needed to tackle which made the whole planning process feel very smooth. We did not feel the last minute ‘crunch’ to get everything done because Tiffany helped us map out the gradual path to our big day.
On the actual wedding date, it could not have gone any smoother. Tiffany took care of building out and sharing the timeline to the vendors. She worked directly with the venue and vendors to coordinate all of the arrival and staging logistics. She even helped the groom execute a surprise treat for the bride at the reception. At the end of the event, Tiffany made sure all of the tip envelopes were distributed and even brought up the groom’s tuxedo jacket & other misc. keepsakes up to their bridal suite.
We cannot recommend working with Tiffany enough. She was a great planning partner, resource, and coordinator. Our wedding was literally perfect, all thanks to the work Tiffany put in! (She worked well with our parents as well)

My daughter lives in NYC and was getting married in
Chicago and I live in Chicago. When she asked me what I thought about hiring a wedding planner I said that's a YES. We interviewed a couple and both agreed Liz was our person. Words cannot explain how impeccable she was at helping us plan the perfect wedding for my daughter and her husband! Liz is amazing
In order to adequately share the amazing experience we had working with Liz at Liven It Up events, I would need three days worth of pages. My husband and I were living in New York but getting married in Chicago. That being said, we needed someone we could trust to help us plan our wedding in Chicago. Upon our first conversation with Liz, we knew that she was the perfect fit. She is extremely organized, respectful, easy to work with and talented. Every single detail at our wedding was thought out and executed perfectly. She recommended AMAZING vendors and listened to my vision. She attended all of the vendor visits with us which was super helpful. Because of Liz, I was ACTUALLY able to enjoy my wedding day...I wasn't one ounce stressed, nervous or scared because I knew Liz had everything under control. Great Experience!
Liz Kriegshaber was nothing short of amazing! From the very first time we met her, we knew we were in good hands. From start to finish she exceeded every expectation and helped make my daughter’s wedding day both manageable and unforgettable.
Liz took the time to understand our vision and offered invaluable insights and suggestions. She helped us refine our ideas and then helped to turn them into a beautiful reality. Throughout the planning process, she was always available to answer our questions, do some hand holding and solve any issues that arose. She attended all meetings with vendors, offered excellent suggestions and made sure that we got the most value for our money. She advocated for us every step of the way. Anytime we had a question, she contacted the vendor for us and promptly came back with an answer. She made sure that everyone was on the same page, reviewed every contract and got vendors to throw in extras that we would never thought of. She helped us with every possible wedding detail, from helping us to design a magnificent wedding invitation, to singlehandedly designing personalized kippahs, monogram cocktail napkins, the dinner menu card and a welcome letter for our guests. There was no detail left unturned.
On the day of the wedding, Liz also went above and beyond. She made sure that everything ran like clockwork and managed every detail seamlessly. She helped my daughter deal with wardrobe malfunctions and did so calmly and patiently. Our guests were so impressed with both the seamless flow of events and the beautiful ambiance she helped us create.
I wholeheartedly recommend Liz Kriegshaber to help you plan your special day! -

the BEST team to work with!
We chose to work with LivenItUp team because they seemed like a team that was open to doing more than just a basic wedding and was open to incorporating different ideas for an event.
We met Lindsay and knew immediately that it was a perfect fit! Lindsay is efficient, organized, timely, and beyond professional. She was flexible to work with and made the process FUN
Everyone kept asking if I was stressed as a bride and I got to say no every time and a lot of that has to do with the fact that we had Lindsay on our side. She worked with myself, my now husband (!), and both of my parents as a group and individually to help make the planning process easy for our schedules.
She had fun ideas, great connections, and listened to us as a couple and a family for how we wanted our day to play out. She was there for the ENTIRE day with us. She was my biggest advocate on the day. If there were any hiccups on the day, I still don’t know what they may have been because she took care of it! She made me as a bride feel calm and well cared for. She also made sure my groom was taken care of too!
Now that our day is over, we genuinely miss our time spent with Lindsay! I cannot recommend having her on your team more. Words do not do enough justice for how wonderful she was and the whole experience was for us! -

Lindsay Gaeta - WOW!
My husband and I got engaged April 2022 and married in August 2023 in Chicago. We did a decent amount of the initial wedding planning ourselves, so we didn't need a full-on wedding planner, but knew we wanted some sort of help from an expert to coordinate the crazy wedding day! Lindsay was by far, the best person in the world for the job.
We started working with Lindsay about 7ish months before the big day. Even with most of our vendors already being picked by that point, Lindsay was SUCH a huge help for things we wouldn't have even known to look out for - like I said, she's the expert! Sure, I could have done it myself, but it was WELL worth the money to "pass the baton" onto someone else who we trusted and someone who took the time to understand our vision. Lindsay took the time to understand what's most important to us on our wedding day, and even helped us with tricky family situations. I would describe Lindasy as direct, extremely knowledgeable, open-minded, classy and fun! My husband and I always tell people that Lindsay was the #1 wedding vendor that we used that was beyond worth the cost. You're already paying a ton to have a wedding, you might as well pay someone to make sure it all goes perfect so you can enjoy the day/night! Thank you again, Linsday and Liven It Up Events! -

How can we sum up our experience with Liz? There's honestly too many good things to list them all. Both my husband and I have somewhat avoidant personalities. When things get tough we have a tendency to bury our heads. I can't explain how safe we felt putting our wedding into Liz's hands. In the areas we felt hands-on, Liz was there to support; in times when we felt overwhelmed Liz picked up all the slack. She is creative, hardworking, enthusiastic, patient, and so so funny. We were endlessly impressed by her expertise, organization and professionalism. 10/10, could not have done it without her. A true Wedding Wonder Woman!! -

Stellar Wedding Planner
I have planned many luxury events, trips, vacations, etc. on my own, but none of that prepared me for all of the details of planning my daughter's wedding. Best Decision We Made!
It's hard to put into words how amazing Liz is as a wedding planner and human. After seeing the incredible job she did on my brother's wedding, we asked her to take over for our destination wedding in Sonoma, California. With mere weeks of lead up time, Liz jumped in with support, suggestions and solutions, handling all communication and outstanding to-dos and taking A TON of pressure off of me. On the ground throughout the wedding weekend, Liz was prepared and organized, acting as our advocate, remaining calm AND keeping us calm as it rained all day :) Hiring Liz was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. 100/10!! -

Where even to begin? Tiffany at Liven It Up Events was so wonderful at every step of the wedding process. We would highly recommend her to anyone who asks. From the initial planning meeting, she was kind, thoughtful, responsive, and resourceful. She is well-connected within the industry and knew the ins and outs of how to throw a wedding in Chicago. And as a gay couple from different cultural backgrounds, she was inclusive and celebratory of the different ways our heritage was incorporated into our special day. Kim was the best!
Kim very quickly understood what we wanted for our wedding and was able to get us there with minimal stress throughout the entire process. She introduced us to the best venues and third party vendors and limited the amount of time we had to spend working on any of the details, big or small. Through years of experience, she was able to differentiate between what was actually important and what wouldn’t ever matter when the wedding weekend came. That was all during the planning stages, but she was at her best during the wedding festivities. As we were surrounded by our favorite people in the world, we knew we didn’t have to worry about anything as she had everything under control. She tried to make herself invisible to not take away from any special moments, but we knew she was there taking care of everything all weekend long! I had the pleasure of working with Tanya and Tiffany and let me tell you....once I hired them I felt like I was in the best hands. Tiffany was just as organized as I am and between her and Tanya the whole day went by without a flaw. They answered all my questions and made my wedding day an absolute dream. Amazing Experience!
We worked with Liz Kriegshaber from Liven It Up to help plan our 55 person wedding in Chicago (December 2022) and we could not be more pleased with the experience! Her knowledge, experience, and guidance throughout the planning and execution process was invaluable.
She was able to find outstanding vendors that were in our budget, which we wouldn't have been able to find on our own. On the day of the wedding, we were completely stress free since she was so well organized and all the event details were buttoned up, well coordinated & clearly communicated.
The event exceeded our wildest expectations and was, without a doubt, the best day of our lives. All of our friends and family gave us similar feedback, with the most common compliment being how well planned the event was! Working with Liz was a true pleasure and her focus, attention to detail, and expertise is impressive and admirable.

Planning Perfection
Kim was phenomenal as our planner and day of coordinator. We truly could not have done it without her. Her expertise and knowledge was unparalleled, not only of the venue, vendors, and wedding day timeline, but also her attention to details about us specifically and ensuring these were captured in our wedding vision. She handled so much of the coordinating and logistics behind the scenes and I never felt like I had to worry about whether things were going to get done. From our initial phone call through to the final timeline meeting before the big day, Kim was on top of everything. On top of handling all of the floral, decor, and catering for us (we already had our venue booked so did partial planning), she provided us with recommendations for vendors when we asked, and let me tell you, all of her recommendations were amazing, and saved us money along the way.
She took complete charge of the floral and catering proposals and made those choices SO easy for us; I initially thought we could handle food on our own but WOW I did not realize how many other things fall under the catering contract (linens, plates, silverware, etc.) and looking through the hundreds of food options was overwhelming. After one call with us Kim made all the requests and proposals using our favorite foods as a guide and wowed us with the offerings.
I felt completely at ease the day of the wedding, not worrying about any details other than getting my shoes on my feet and walking down the aisle. I would highly recommend Kim and everyone on the Liven it Up team for planning and day of coordinating (in fact, I already did and my friend also had a wonderful experience with her day of coordinator!). Liven it Up Events came highly recommended from two of my friends who used their planning and day of coordinator services and we could not be happier with our decision. I actually didn’t even research any other event planner options, after I spoke with Kim, it was a no-brainer. It was such a pleasure to work with Kim, I only wish I had another wedding or event to use her for! If you are on the fence about getting a planner, this is your sign to do it.

Best money spent on our wedding!
We worked with Lindsay Gaeta and couldn’t have been happier! She was the reason our day went so incredibly smoothly. It was the best money we could have spent. Each part of the day flowed perfectly from one activity to the next. Not only was the day of perfect, but she made the whole 2-3 months leading up to our wedding a breeze with thorough planning and questions leading to creating our timeline. It was the most organized event planning you could ask for! We also really enjoyed getting to know her and spending our special day with her. She really put us at ease when we were feeling anxious. Lindsay Gaeta @ Liven It Up
After researching MANY wedding planners in chicago AND interviewing my top three,
I made the easy decision to hire Lindsay Gaeta @ liven it up.
To sum up Lindsay she is kind, patient, creative and went above and beyond what I ever could have imagined. As a project manager in construction I had extremely high expectations and she blew me and my husband away.
She understood my (our) vision and went to work immediately.
She sourced and vetted the all the best vendors. She also coordinated vendors and the Catholic Church on my behalf as I was an out of town bride.
She handled my indecisiveness with grace and helped lead me to final decisions.
Even AFTER the wedding she sourced a wedding dress restoration company AND followed up the status of my dress.
Anything we asked if Lindsay she did above and beyond from the vendor payment spread sheet (with calendar reminders) to sourcing creative ways to incorporate my college friends. To personally taking care of the creative bathroom amenities.
She even helped me design and proof invitations, church programs and wedding welcome bags.
She also helped put on an amazing rehearsal dinner at an event space I never would have considered. Oh and don’t forget the morning after brunch that was perfect and I’ll I did was pick out to food. (At this point I has complete trust to let Lindsay do it :))
From the start of wedding weekend to leaving for the honeymoon she was by our sides with a smile and a calm sweet manor.
I have a feeling she has to deal with a few “day of” issues but I had no idea and now our wedding is being requested to be in multiple magazines.
My husband says Lindsay was the best money we spent on the wedding.
To sum it up from my experience … Lindsay will make your fairytale come true.

We could not have done it without Liven It Up!
Liz was an amazing wedding planner and helped us go from signing a contract with her to saying “I do” in six months. After we told her we wanted to work with her, she had appointments to look at venues the following day. From there, she provided us with options for music, flowers, transportation and hotels. It was wonderful to receive an email that stated “here are two vendors available on your date, within your budget, that I have worked with in the past.” She saved us countless hours calling different vendors and potentially hitting dead ends. Throughout the process, she provided guidance on several decisions and always provided a “why.” For example, we were unsure about a first look and she provided several reasons why we should do one, and we are both so glad we did. It kept us calmer for the ceremony and we have some beautiful photos together in the city.
As we got closer to the wedding day, she provided different ideas for details that really added a wonderful touch to the whole reception. She also suggested I ask if my alterations place would press my wedding dress and when they said they didn’t she had a place that picked up the dress, made it look beautiful and then delivered it to the hotel. Everything was so stress free with Liz!
On the wedding day, she kept us calm, had refreshments set up for the wedding party and helped us have a beautiful ceremony. She made sure we got a moment to ourselves after the ceremony, she walked us in to see the reception room and decorations to let it all sink in before our guests saw, and just made the whole day wonderful.
I have been in many weddings and have had a lot of tasks to complete throughout the evening and things to get back to a hotel, etc. I felt after our first dance, we could relax and enjoy the evening with friends and family.

Liz kriegshaber, wedding planner extraordinaire
We interviewed three wedding planners and the decision to work with Liz K was an easy one. We signed a contract with Liven It Up Events and were soon visiting five wedding venues, all of which met our needs. After careful deliberation, we chose The Ivy Room run by Lettuce Entertain You. From there, Liz facilitated our choice of a fantastic band (Entourage), invitations, flowers, headquarters hotel and more. She recommended and we used a bridal shop and a men’s tailor. She negotiated contracts on our behalf, saving us money along the way.
The week of the wedding, Liz K was in touch frequently. We were unable to rehearse at The Ivy Room due to another event but she gave us a comprehensive orientation which she repeated the next day before the wedding. Everything came off without a hitch. The food was delicious, the dance floor was full and people stayed for an after-hours party which featured mini-Chicago hotdogs (Liz’ idea!).
Thank you, Liz for making the planning process such an enjoyable opportunity to get to know our new son-in-law and plan an event that we will happily recall for many years to come.

Best Decision I Made!
I was on the fence about having a wedding planner but it was hands down the best decision I made. Looking back I would have paid double the amount for it again, it was that helpful! Lindsay is an absolute rock star and helped make the months leading up to my wedding so stress free. She was incredibly organized, efficient and went above and beyond on the day of my wedding. When my photographer left my bouquet at the church she personally drove back to retrieve it. I highly recommend Lindsay, I am so grateful I got to work with her! -

One of the best investments!
There's probably not enough space here to share how fortunate I was to get to work with Lindsay Gaeta from LivenitUp. We hit it off immediately, and she made my wedding day a stress free event. I wanted to have a day of coordinator to help me so that I could actually be present on my day, and Lindsay helped me do just that. A few amazing things about Lindsay - She's very punctual and agile in the planning process, she thinks about the details you wouldn't even consider thinking of, she has a backup plan option for you (and another backup to her backup x3), she has experience working with all kinds of vendors and will advocate for you the bride, and most importantly she is a pleasure to work with and made some of the not so fun stuff much more tolerable (dear, I even say fun!) . I always felt supported through the process and Lindsay provided helpful commentary or alternatives during the planning process. She made sure to check in on me throughout the actual day itself as well, and made our hard work in planning happen seamlessly throughout the day. It's really important to have someone who gets you in this process, and Lindsay really understood what I needed in this role. -

Tiffany from LIU was our day-of wedding planner. She was incredible and I cannot speak highly enough of her! She was professional, knowledgeable, kind, and easy to work with. Even though she was the day-of planner, she went above and beyond and gave us wonderful recommendations on vendors. Once she took over the coordination, we did not worry about a thing. The best choice for the bid days in life
I’m so happy I made the best choice for the big day in my life. Anthony did a great job planning everything for my wedding. We started the process one year ago, it wasn’t easy. Still during the COVID, and with me oversea in Japan while my husband in the states. But Anthony helped us bring things together and always being positive, encouraging and reliable. All these effort paid off really well. The venue was beautiful, flowers were stunning, food were so delicious, and the flow of the whole day was very smooth. Everyone had a great time, it is definitely gonna be one of the most memorable wedding for a lot of guests as well. The BEST Experience
If anyone is in need of a wedding planner, I highly suggest you stop looking now and hire Kim at Liven It Up Events immediately!!! Talk about an amazing individual!
I was first referred to Liven It Up Events by another one of our vendors and boy am I ever so GRATEFUL!!! When we first booked Kim, never could I have imagined how much of a lifesaver should would be. Due to COVID, our original wedding date of May 16, 2020 was postponed to August 1, 2020. As we approached 8/1, my fiancé (now husband) and I realized that our original dream wedding of about 200 people would not happen. We completely scrapped our original plan, cancelled the venue and church, and planned a completely new wedding for 60 people at a private residence in a matter of 5 weeks. During this entire process, Kim was there for us. She took care of all the emails and phone calls and answered any and all questions that I had. And believe me, there were a lot! She put us into contact with new vendors that would be able to accommodate our new plan, and I can honestly say that without her, I have no idea what our wedding would have looked like. Kim is everything you need and want in a wedding planner, and much, much more. THANK YOU Kim for your professionalism and the dedication you have to your brides. We did not know it at the time, but as we look back now, you played a very important and essential role in bringing our dream wedding to life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

Dedicated! She literally climbed inside my dress to bustle it!
worked with Kim to plan my wedding. I cannot say enough about what a help she was.
In the early stages of planning, Kim helped me narrow my approved vendor list to select those which were right for our event, surely saving us time and money.
Closer to our wedding date, Kim and I had a sit down to discuss all of the details I would have never thought of until I regretted not addressing it. From a dress reveal to the logistics of pinning the boutonnieres on the groomsmen, Kim had a solution for everything.
Thank you for letting me borrow your handkerchief, I needed it more than I knew!
My favorite advice she gave was what to do about a bouquet toss. We did not invite children to our wedding and most of my friends are already married. Kim suggested just passing the bouquet to my newly engaged maid of honor. This was such a special moment affirming our lifelong friendship.
Quite comically, our reverend for hire lingered well past his welcome, drinking and eating to his heart's content during cocktail hour. Kim put her foot down to communicate he was not invited to the reception. (This had been previously discussed with him, he was just being very stubborn)
I'd certainly recommend Liven It Up Events to any friends or strangers!-

Don't think twice about hiring a planner
I'll have to admit, I'm a pretty organized person and I wasn't sure exactly what a wedding planner could do that I couldn't - but all of my friends who got married before me all told me they regretted not hiring someone, so I decided a wedding planner sounded like a good invest. And it was probably one of the best investments we made for our wedding! Kim was so helpful - from helping us figure out a realistic budget, recommending vendors, creating a timeline, and taking care of all the day of details - she was the reason everything ran as smoothly as it did! There were a few hiccups on our wedding day, some that I knew of and some that I wasn't aware of until after everything was completed, and I didn't have to worry about any of them because Kim took charge and fixed all the issues. It was such a relief to have her with us all day! Our friends and family loved her and thought she was so nice to work with and loved that there was a go-to person for questions. Even if you think you're more organized than most I would still 100% recommend Kim as your planner! -

After a few friends of ours hired (and loved) Liven It Up for their weddings, we inquired and were soon paired up with Lisa Wandel.
We met with Lisa a few months before our wedding to hammer down our timeline. Lisa was friendly, professional and had no problem answering all of our questions. Her attention to detail is incredible and she helped us nail down specifics that we hadn't even thought of! Lisa is very responsive and approachable - we truly thought we were working alongside a friend the entire time. On our wedding day, Lisa was prompt and made the entire day run flawlessly. She even picked up glass with her bare hands when someone broke a candle holder!!
My wife and I were able to enjoy the day with our family and friends because we knew that with Lisa there, everything would go smoothly - and it did! Lisa was truly a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend her! -

Kim Weinberg from Liven It Up was nothing short of a miracle worker! Her communication was impeccable and it did not seem as if I ever had to lift a finger. Working with her was a pleasure- she is respectful and helpful, but most importantly, she is so much fun. I debated hiring a wedding planner, but after my initial consult with Kim, I was sold. I was not living in Chicago when planning, and Kim was there for me every step of the way. The entire process was stress free and she made it easy for both me and my mom. Kim is patient, as hands-on or hands-off as you want her to be, and truly made my wedding planning experience enjoyable. I will be referring her to every engaged friend I know and working with her for as many future parties as I can! -

You should strongly consider a DOC
Trisha from Liven It Up Events was just what the doctor ordered for my wedding day. I am a pretty typical type A bride, so I was pretty good at the whole wedding planning thing, making lists, checking reviews, setting up vendor meetings and booking them, but I knew in order to enjoy my day to the fullest I was going to need a day of coordinator. There is no way I would be able to relax on my wedding day if I had to check on every vendor and make sure they were there and doing what they were supposed to be doing and also getting the ceremony and reception spaces set up. No way and no thank you. I had a good feeling about Trisha from our initial phone interview. She has this presence in her voice that says, “I’ve got this, don’t worry”. She is a great mix of being both professional and friendly. Your day of coordination actually starts about 4 months out where you have your initial meeting to gather information about your big day and get her started on making your timeline. The next meeting comes a few weeks before the wedding to do a walkthrough at your venue and finalize things. Trisha was so knowledgeable at the walkthrough and it was very comforting to hear everything coming together. Trisha also attended our rehearsal and she helped to get everyone prepared for what was going to happen the next day. That was so helpful because we weren’t getting married in a church or using a professional officiant so without her we would’ve been lost. Day of she was great and had an assistant with her, Lora, who was also very helpful. Trisha was often running back and forth between me and my groom and checking in with vendors to make sure everything was happening that should’ve been. As far as I know there were no problems on my wedding day, and that is exactly why I hired a DOC. Even if there were issues I never knew about them and I was able to relax, as much as a bride can. Thank you again Lora and Trisha! -

Great Planner, Stress Reducer, and Organized, Valuable Resource
My review includes a brief description of our scenario, a husband's review, and a wife's review of Kim Weinberg & Liven It Up Events.
Background Information:
I was married in March of 2018, with the added challenge of planning a wedding from hundreds of miles away. I didn't know Kim before we selected Liven It Up Events, but I attended a beautiful wedding in Chicago that Liven It Up Events planned about four years ago. My friend was also very satisfied with Liven It Up Events.
Husband's Thoughts:
From a husband's perspective, I liked how she sent my wife's stress to bed without dinner, with her amiable flexibility, experience, organizational skills, and the overall value Kim added as a wedding planner. My wife enjoyed working with Kim. I liked working with Kim too, but that barely matters to me. I loved how on our wedding day, she went above and beyond to find out what needed to be done so we could have fun. Leading up to the wedding, she developed a timeline, budget, and scheduled excellent, budget-sensitive options for venues, tastings, and all the stuff that I didn't want to think about. When we had questions along the way, she was there. I probably would've spent more money if I didn't have Kim's help (even if I didn't use another wedding planner) and I'm certain the food, venue, and cake wouldn't have had as good of a quality/cost ratio.
Wife's thoughts:
From a wife's perspective, I think it was fantastic how well she coordinated everything so well. I feel like she was there every time I needed her. On the big day, I woke up in the morning and she was already there, she brought a steamer to steam my wedding dress (again) even though I didn't ask, and I loved how organized she was. Kim made everything move so smoothly and she was very accommodating to all the changes we made. -

Couldn't Have Asked For A Better Coordinator
We cannot thank Liven It Up Events enough for making our wedding day exceed ours and our guests’ expectations. We had Lisa as our day of coordinator and Michael as her producer. Wow, they really went above and beyond what we had assumed a day of coordinator would do. Lisa was so approachable and communicative leading up to our wedding. She answered all of my questions and eased my concerns in a timely manner. She attended the rehearsal and sent out an extremely detailed timeline to all of our vendors so that everyone (vendor and wedding party member) knew exactly when and where to be. At the wedding, her and Michael did such an amazing job checking in on us and our parents to make sure everyone’s needs were met. We always assumed something would go wrong or the events in our wedding would be behind schedule, but everything occurred exactly as Lisa described in her timeline. We could not have been more impressed! We would highly recommend working with Lisa and Liven It Up Events for wedding coordinating. They made our day run efficiently and helped us feel stress free. We truly got to enjoy our wedding day to its fullest! -

Getting hitched without a hitch :)
What started as a hard sell to my husband for a day-of coordinator ended up being one of the easiest decisions we made as it related to our wedding. A friend of mine had recommended Liven it Up to me for day-of coordination, and I could not have been happier. Their day-of coordination actually extends far ahead of the day of coverage; Lisa began working with us about 3 or 4 months out to make sure we had all the details covered so she could put together a comprehensive run of show. If we had questions on vendor recommendations, she was extremely prompt in sharing some of Liven it Up's preferred vendors. She was quite the professional--and quite a joy to work with! If there had been any hiccups on the day of, I was completely unaware of them. If you are at all on the fence about having a day-of coordinator I would look no further than Liven it Up's services--and people--to convince you to go for it. -

I definitely recommend Liven it Up for your wedding planning needs! We wanted someone to help with Day of Wedding as well as Event Design and Kim was the person planner for us! She helped me create a vision for the wedding, and then helped bring that vision to life the day of! She also thought of every detail and asked us questions I never would have thought of so that we could make sure that our Wedding Day was exactly what we wanted.
One thing in particular stands out to me that Kim did that was exceptional. During the ceremony, we were planning on giving our moms a momento and during our rehearsal, Kim asked us if we wanted to tell them about it beforehand or leave it as a surprise during the ceremony. I had never thought about leaving it as a surprise, and we did and the look on our mom's faces when we gave them the momentos was priceless- that never would have happened without Kim!
On the day of, she and Trisha helped make sure all of our flowers and decorations were where we envisioned them, and kept things running smoothly with the band, speeches, and everything in between.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Kim Weinberg for our "month-of" wedding planning service. While it is considered a month-of service, we worked with Kim for the few months leading up to wedding. Kim had many tools to keep us organized, recommended vendors, and communicated with all of our vendors the week leading up to the wedding. Furthermore, Kim was on top of absolutely everything the day of the wedding. She helped my family, bridal party, husband, and myself at every point of the day. We decided to hire a day of coordinator and I’m so glad we did. We loved working with Lisa. From the first time we spoke until she hugged us goodbye on our wedding night she was nothing short but amazing. She is professional, prepared, organized, kept things running, extremely knowledgeable, pays attention to the smallest details and honestly the best thing about her is on our wedding day anytime myself or my husband needed something she was always there and it was perfect. Not only are her professional skills amazing Lisa is also very relatable, down to earth, and sweet.

My wife and I had the pleasure of being assigned Ms. Tiffany Wilson as our wedding planner this past summer from Liven It Up Events. She and her fellow colleagues went above and beyond to deliver us a wedding day that exceeded our greatest expectations. They are extremely detail oriented and you can rest assured that all of the little things have been, or will be taken care of (keeping you on schedule, contacting vendors, setting up the venue). Wedding days are stressful enough, if you're going to contract wedding planning services, we recommend Liven It Up Events and if you're lucky enough, you'll get assigned Tiffany Wilson. While she was technically assigned to us as our wedding planner, I feel like we also made a great friend. She was there whenever we needed her and talked us through everything. I worked with Kim from Liven It Up events as my day of wedding coordinator. I found her to be very professional and helpful during the process. She made sure we went over everything before hand so that our day of went smoothly. Although liven it provides EXTENSIVE planning services, I found the day of coordinator made the most sense for me. This was something I didn't really think was all that necessary when I started planning, but booked based on others recommendations. I would HIGHLY recommend at the very least a day of coordinator to put your mind at ease . This allows you to be able to focus on you and your husband on your wedding day instead of the hundreds of other things going on that day. -

Anthony and his team are fantastic! Hiring him was the best decision we made. He is infinitely patient, extremely resourceful and hard-working, and always responsive to every email and phone call. From our very first meeting, Anthony made the whole process as seamless as possible, and much less stressful than it otherwise would have been. He understood what we were going for very early on, and was able to translate that vision into a reality that was even better better than we could've hoped for. We were blown away by how beautiful our wedding was, and got so many compliments on all aspects of the day, from the decor, food and band, to the flow of the night. Anthony and his team from Liven’ It Up Events were flawless. From the first time we spoke with him (months in advance of our wedding), to the last time we saw him, he always had a great attitude – extremely professional and able to relate on a personal and emotional level. As any bride can attest, planning your wedding is such a detailed and stressful process. Anthony and his team at Liven’ It Up Events were always there to provide a gentle, guiding hand, in working through the process. Come the day of the wedding, there are no other words to describe Anthony and Kim, other than invaluable. They arrived earlier than expected and tied bow ties, wrangled the bridal party, gathered the jewelry and I’m sure a dozen other things we’re not aware of. At the reception, they kept everything on time, brought us food and drinks and made sure that everything was perfect. What we’re trying to get at is Anthony and his team are worth every penny and then some. With weddings being as expensive as they are, it can be overwhelming to know where to spend and where to save. I'm happy to say that working with Lisa at Liven It Up was some of the best money we spent! We were primarily looking for someone who could take care of things for us on the wedding day so we could sit back, relax, and enjoy everything we'd spent so much time planning. With that in mind, we chose the 'day of' package, which proved to be so much more than just assistance on the wedding day. Throughout our months of planning Lisa was responsive and available, providing helpful guidance on decisions we were clueless about. Working with Liven It Up also came with the advantage of having a trusted source familiar with the wedding industry to provide vendor recommendations. It was also nice to hear our other vendors recognize Liven It Up and be comfortable working with them. And of course, it was wonderful to have Lisa and Kacie with us throughout the day to handle everything from issues with vendor parking to extending the DJ and bar. Lisa was our Day of Coordinator for our Chicago wedding and we could not thank her enough for everything she did to make our day go so smoothly. She is the perfect combination of business, organization, fun and energy. She knows when to be serious and when to step in but never loses sight of the fact that you are celebrating the most important day of your life. We used Anthony as our day of coordinator and it was probably the best money we spent on our entire wedding. A wedding coordinator was the first thing we had cut from our budget, as we figured we could handle it ourselves. Thank god my mother-in-law gifted us one, because after just the consultation phone call with Anthony I could tell he was going to be worth every penny. There were a million things we hadn't thought about AT ALL that Anthony told us about, and his day-of schedule was super detailed. We didn't have to wrangle any vendors or tell anyone where to be or when, as Anthony handled all of it. Anthony was reassuring and fun to be around, but he could crack the whip when he needed to (meaning we didn't have to). When my gown broke while I was getting dressed, Anthony had a seamstress in the hotel room in like 20 minutes. And we stayed on schedule! The wedding went off without a hitch. Anthony and his assistant were helpful when they needed to be (coordinating the ceremony, cuing speeches, cake cutting, dancing, etc), and we didn't even notice they were there the rest of the time. If we ever have to throw a large scale event in the future, Anthony will be the first person we call. He seriously cut our stress level by probably 2000%. -

We had Misha who did a partial planning service for our wedding and we could not be more satisfied! On our first meeting, she was courteous, kind, and it's hard to explain, but she just got us. I never felt uncomfortable speaking to her about my concerns and always turned to her for advice when I was unsure about a decision. The best part of it all - she was honest. I knew that whatever she recommended was because it was truly the best decision, not because it was better/more convenient for her. She streamlined all the communications with my multiple vendors and my stress level the weeks leading up to the wedding (which I hear is intense) was little to none at all! One the day of, all I had to do was make sure my girls were having a wonderful time, that I had a glass of bubbly in hand, and to just relax and take in the special day. Seriously - Misha (and her assistant Jen) took care of EVERYTHING. I truly could not imagine what I would have done without her and what seemed like an extraneous spend turned out to be one of the best decisions I could have made to make our wedding the most memorable/stress-free/epic day ever. I cannot say thank you enough to Misha and Jen and would (and have) recommended her to anyone that is planning a wedding and willing to listen. If you're unsure about getting a planner, do yourself a favor and just do it. I promise that in the end, the cost is 100% worth it - after all, it's a once in a lifetime day and with Misha by your side, your memories and experience will be the same! -

Where do I start?! Misha Newgren at Liven It Up Events is absolutely incredible. She is poised, professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Her calm demeanor and organization helped make the day go so smoothly. I cannot recommend her enough.
A bit more info - we decided to go with the deluxe day of coordinator package. Misha looked over our vendor contracts, joined us at floral appointments, and was quick to answer any question we emailed her. Misha always gave us honest advice and opinions about vendors, which I found extremely helpful. And on the day of the wedding, Misha helped with everything - organizing the floral delivery, getting us to the church on time, managing the buses for our guests, ensuring the reception kept to the schedule, and was there a second after my bustle broke with safety pins. She can do it all.
Misha knows the Chicago wedding market and has incredibly solid relationships in the industry. I have recommended Misha to every one of my friends who is engaged. Thank you for everything, Misha! -

I just got married this past weekend (April 18) and I just could not wait to say these words about Misha and Liven It Up Events. AMAZING!!!!!
Misha will have your back. She will be there for you when you need her. She is unbelievably professional and organized. SHE GETS THINGS DONE. If you really really want something, she will move heaven and earth to make it happen. But she's also pragmatic and will hammer down a realistic wedding schedule to make sure the important stuff you need gets done.
Misha is warm, incredibly knowledgeable and she is genuinely excited for you and your wedding day.
For those who are on the fence of hiring a wedding planner - DO IT (Misha was my day-of wedding planner). EMBRACE your wedding day. You want to occupy yourself with thoughts of your future spouse and taking this monumental step together. You don't want to clutter your mind with thoughts about whether the caterer is setting up on time or whether the officiant knows where he's supposed to be and when. Liven It Up Events takes care of EVERYTHING and will make sure you don't have to worry about ANYTHING. Anthony is a ball of energy with a loving heart and a wry dose of classic Chicagoan sarcasm. He will hold your hand while you are stressing out about wedding day minutae with a sweetness and calmness only a PRO has. Anthony helped us with our wedding which we coordinated and successfully pulled together in 5 months at a luxurious venue for 98 guests! Anthony has cultivated wonderful relationships with MANY vendors throughout Chicagoland, so working with him and our caterer and florist and venue and photographer was a breeze! We hired Anthony because of his extremely prompt response time. To us, that is professionalism at it's finest in today's world! If you're having a wedding in Chicago, you need to call Liven it Up Events. Where can I even start? I don't know what I would have done without them. My planner was Sally, and she was an absolute bridal life saver. They made the process smooth, connected me with all the best vendors, and did the leg work I needed. The flowers and the food were incredible. Breathtaking. And everything was coordinated the day of flawlessly. The venue was absolutely transformed into my dream, and the logistics of the day were executed in perfect timing. They made my wedding a success and they'll make yours one too!!! -

Anthony and his team are amazing! I think the only mistake we made with him was not letting him plan the entire thing. Anthony worked tirelessly to make our wedding successful. He calmed us down when we were stressed out, he was flexible to what we wanted, and he knew when to tell us our ideas weren't going to work. I consider myself a very organized person but on the day of the wedding Anthony was always ahead of the game and I didn't have to worry about anything. Also, he made our venue decorations look incredible. I showed him the look I wanted with a complicated space and he made it come to life and we received a ton of complements. We even planned our wedding from SF for a Chicago wedding which added to the complexity. He also always recommended vendors within our budget. We both loved working with Anthony and his team!! -

OMG ladies!! Go to Anthony!!! Period end of discussion. Do not pass go! Do not collect 200 dollars!! I knew if nothing else I wanted to be able to enjoy my wedding and not stress about little things! And thanks to Anthony I was able to do that! He helped to guide me through the process of planning and kept my budget and vision in mind at all times. My mom and I have said over and over again that dollar for dollar, Anthony was our best hire for my wedding on August 31 at the Field Museum.
We only needed a day-of coordinator, since we had pretty much hired all our vendors by the time we came to Anthony, but from the beginning, Anthony went above and beyond to answer all questions that came up along the way-- everything from where to get an MOB dress to whether it was necessary to put the year on the invitations. Anthony is the perfect balance of warm and professional; it's easy to see why he has literally written the book on being a wedding planner.
On the day of the wedding, I don't know what we would have done without Anthony. His timeline was perfect, and he was so on top of everything the whole day. I wasn't nervous or anxious (probably in part because he had everything so under control) but he repeatedly asked if I was okay, if I needed anything.
I can't say enough good things about Anthony and Liven It Up Events. Anyone getting married in Chicago should be fighting to hire him! -

During the course of planning our wedding at the Sofitel Hotel in Chicago, the hotel recommended Liven It Up Events for our "day of wedding coordinator" . We were very happy with the services provided by Liven It Up Events. In particular, our day of coordinator, Jackie Belzone, was a delight to work with and met my every expectation. She successfully stepped in a couple of weeks before the wedding and managed all of the remaining issues, coordinated all of the vendors, and ensured our wedding day was stress free. Jackie was excellent at remembering the small details during the set up of the event rooms and made some great recommendations on maximizing space. We were very happy we hired Jackie Belzone from Liven It Up! -

If you want a fantastic wedding planner, look no further than Anthony Navarro at Liven It Up Events!!! We had an amazing experience working with Anthony and his team. Before we even hired him, he sat on the phone with me for 45 minutes explaining exactly how weddings at our venue (Cafe Brauer) worked. The other planners I interviewed wouldn't discuss much with me until we signed a contract. Anthony answered all my initial questions without even the mention of a contract!! I loved him from that moment on! There were so many logistics to coordinate between all the vendors for our wedding, and Anthony knew it all!! As our partial planner, he helped guide us along the planning process to choose vendors that would work well with us because he took the time to get to know us as a couple. Anthony did a fantastic job at replying to us quickly whenever we had questions or needed guidance. We were so pleased with every aspect of our wedding! As part of our wedding planning process, we met with 3 planners, including Anthony Navarro from Liven It Up Events. Within the first 5 minutes of meeting Anthony, we knew he was the right planner for us and never had any regrets with this important decision.
We developed an instant rapport with Anthony because of his great personality and energy. He arrived early, prepared, asking questions and taking notes throughout our initial meeting. Every time we had a question or sought guidance, Anthony always responded within 1 day.
Not only did we hire Anthony for our day-of planning, we also hired him for decor planning. He was excellent at assisting us in negotiating with vendors regarding rentals and obtaining best prices possible for these items, resulting in us saving thousands of dollars.
Anthony was great at listening to what we wanted, but was also honest with what risks and limitations some of our wishes presented, and offered alternate solutions where applicable. It's one of his strengths given Anthony's extensive experience planning a wide variety of weddings.
Anthony's organizational skills are second to none, as his highly detailed day-of timeline accounted for every minute and activity taking place. He was very prompt in responding to our feedback on the timeline, finalizing our timeline several weeks prior to our wedding day.
Anthony collaborated tremendously with our other vendors to ensure everyone fully understood the timeline and their responsibilities. He was very diligent in keeping everyone on schedule, coordinating with his assistant on timely delivery and setup at at our venue. Everything on the day of went seamlessly perfect and much of the credit goes to Anthony and his assistant Vanessa! -

Anthony is fantastic!!! Whether you are looking for a day of planner or step by step help, Anthony is the perfect person!
I researched & contacted a dozen or so planners. Anthony stood out immediately, we hired Anthony for partial planning. Partial is a misleading word though, as he was there every step of the way & always had my best interests at heart!
Our venue did not have a vendor list so I could choose from hundreds of florists, DJ's, lighting, etc! In order to find the right vendors I would have spent weeks doing research & planning meetings. Instead, I contacted Anthony for his recommendations & it worked out perfectly! He would provide insight into various vendors that he loves to work with, have what I'm looking for, & also fit into my budget. I could always reach him & immediately get responses to all of my questions, he never made me feel like a crazy bride or that any question was dumb. He constantly exceeded our expectations & is a lot of fun to work with!
Anthony brings so much knowledge & experience to the table. He knows the details that you might not consider & is incredibly organized! Everything was so well thought out & organized that by the time our wedding day rolled around, there were no surprises & everything went incredibly smooth. Everyone said it was so nice to know Anthony was there for help, but that he was usually in the background instead of in everyone's face. He helped keep me from turning into a typical stressed out bride the day of our wedding, I'm certain I would have without his help & his calm attitude. My brother thanked him for keeping me sane.
All I can say is that if you are looking for a wedding planner, meet with Anthony, you will book him instantly!! He is such a pleasure to work with & is an invaluable resource that will make the planning process & the day of your wedding so much fun & easier! Liven It Up Events was a pleasure to work with. My husband and I hired Jackie Belzone as our wedding day coordinator, and she was fantastic. She was very professional, she was easy to contact, and she showed excellence in her work ethic. She told us from the beginning that her job is her passion and it was evident throughout her work. Jackie was very much on top of things, and she helped reassure us that our wedding weekend would go smoothly. At the same time, she was also flexible and made sure that our wedding day was going to go the way we wanted it. A month before our wedding day, Jackie took responsibility of contacting our vendors, and she made sure to cc my husband and I on all e-mails and kept us up-to-date on all conversations and important information. Our wedding weekend went so well, thanks to Jackie. She did a great job facilitating our wedding rehearsal- the time was used very efficiently, and our wedding day was perfect! There is not one thing my husband and I would've wanted differently. Jackie had told us if anything went wrong on our wedding day, we would never know about it, but I don't think anything went wrong! She had an assistant at our ceremony location and another assistant at our reception. She and her assistants updated us every once in a while that everything was going well, and they made sure that our wedding day events were on time and moving along with smooth transitions. Jackie represented Liven It Up Events well, and she performed her job with excellence. She was a pleasure to work with, and I would definitely recommend Liven It Up Events to friends. -

We were lucky enough to work with the talented Misha Newgren of Liven It Up for our June wedding in Chicago. The logistics were a little tricky with two ceremonies at locations an hour apart on the same day and tons of out of state family and friends to accommodate. Misha made herself available whenever we wanted to meet in person to plan the wedding weekend and was uber responsive and organized on email. Most importantly, she kept track of and executed all of the little personal details for our big day that really made it "our wedding day" and not just another circus of the same old vendors throwing chiavari chairs around tables. Misha had great insight and relationships with wedding professionals in Chicago. Even my parents raved about our wedding planner (she even got a shout out in the father-of-the-bride speech). I would recommend Misha and the crew at Liven It Up a thousand times over. Worth. Every. Penny. -

If you're getting married and thinking about hiring a wedding planner whether it be full, partial or just day of... do it. Call Liven it up Events ask for Misha and hire her right now. Stop thinking just do it!
Although I had almost everything booked, and am quite used to planning events for my family. my mom had insisted that I get someone to help us for at least the day of the wedding so that we could just sit back and enjoy our wedding day without any worries. My husband and I agreed to meet with Misha, who was the day of coordinator at a wedding my mom had attended earlier in the year.
Misha was amazing from the very beginning. At the beginning of the appointment I was a bit hesitant about needing someone, but by the end of the appointment I had the checkbook out and making sure that we booked Misha for our wedding so that we didn't miss the chance to have her for the day!
She provided us a list of vendor recommendations for the last vendors that we hadn't booked yet, she sent emails periodically asking how things were going and she helped us establish the oh so important time-line to make sure that everyone involved knew what needed to be done so that everything went according to plan.
The day of our wedding her and Jen made sure everything was set up to look how I had envisioned it in my head and they did a spectacular job. We had several little details we wanted done and they made sure that each detail was executed. They both made sure that everything went smoothly and any concerns that we had were dealt with immediately. They pretty much made sure that our wedding day was the best day of our lives.
All in all... If you're looking for someone to help with any event don't look any further than Liven it Up Events because they truly are amazing! Thank you so much Misha and Jen!

We thought planning a wedding from out of state would be difficult, but with Anthony's fine eye and trust on our side, it was exactly how we imagined! He was able to turn a beautiful hotel wedding into something you see on T.V. He made picking vendors and staying in budget stress free. I always heard that planning a wedding was stressful, but at no time did I ever feel that way. The day of the wedding went so smooth without a glitch thanks to Liven it up! If anything did go wrong, we surely didn't even notice! Hiring Anthony and his team was the best decision we could have made in planning our out of state wedding! -

I didn't have to worry about thing on my wedding day. All the tiny little things you never think about, like tissues on the family's ceremony seats, where'd my dad go, do my parents have seats to see the first dance, does the photographer know the groom's hotel number, etc., Anthony took care of it all. We hired Anthony as our day-of-coordinator but he was available at all times by e-mail and phone for questions, and he met with us to put together the timeline and to do a venue walk-through with the caterer. At the walk-through meeting I just had to sit back and drink my coffee and Anthony took care of everything, it was great. On the day of my wedding, I didn't pick up my cell phone once to deal with vendors or family. And that's the way it should be. I enjoyed the company of my friends and drank champagne. Best wedding investment ever.

Misha was absolutely the best and made our wedding so much better and well organized than it would have been if we had not used her. We only hired her for day of coordinating, but in retrospect, we wish we hired her for planning our entire wedding. That being said, the services she did for us for day of coordinating went above and beyond what we expected for a day of coordinator. She made sure every detail was taken care of and thought of. She worked with us starting months before the event on lighting, helped get a make up referral, table settings, music, and worked directly with the caterer on nearly every other detail. She helped us work through details about the ceremony we weren't sure about as well. She genuinely cared about our wedding and it showed in the work she did for us. If we needed anything going up to the wedding we knew we could call Misha, she was always available to us. And again, this was just for day of coordinating. If you hired her for your entire wedding planning, we can't imagine how easy and well coordinated your event would be. -

Misha was my day-of coordinator for my wedding, and she far exceeded any expectations I had! We met several times, both in person and on the phone, and she was able to capture the mood and vision I had for my wedding perfectly. Without her, I know I would not have been able to fully enjoy my wedding day. She handled the other vendors (and also some small fires) with professionalism and finesse. She is a joy to be around, and one of the nicest people I've honestly ever met! I've already had several people ask me about her services, for upcoming weddings and smaller events as well. If I ever need event planning services again, Misha is my go-to gal! -

Anthony is amazing! Probably everyone says that, but it's true! We did partial planning with him and it felt like he was there for me every step of the way.
He even stopped by on the day of to make sure everything was ready and to give me a big hug!
I love that he gives his honest opinion about anything you ask his advice on. He help set up our budget and get us in touch with the best vendors for our price range. We wouldn't have found our stellar photographer without his referral.
Anthony is truly one in a million and I'm so happy we trusted him with our big day. We can not express enough how satisfied we were with his services and also how lucky we feel to have met such a great person!

I had the pleasure of having Anthony as my wedding coordinator and it was the best money I ever spent! He is worth every penny, not only for his fabulous organization skills, but for his knowledge and honest opinion on every little detail. He knows the best people in the business and in the end, saved us lots of money as well. I have no idea how I could have gotten through the wedding day without his calm nature and attention to detail. I would recommend him to anyone planning a wedding -

Okay Chicago couples, before you do anything, hire Anthony! Don't be like us and wait until 2 months before your wedding to hire him - life would have been so much easier if we had hired him at the beginning of the process.
I contacted Anthony and a few other day-of coordinators many months before the wedding, his price was about middle-of-the-pack, but he was definitely the most experienced and organized. We didn't hire a coordinator right away, mostly due to my parents reservations, but when I contacted him months later, he was still available and even gave me the original price he quoted when the day-of rate had increased.
As the other reviewers had said, Anthony was everything you want in a coordinator: knowledgeable, experienced, super organized, extremely helpful, etc. The day went perfectly (as far as I know at least!) and all the little details come together wonderfully. He also worked really well with our photographer and I think that made her job easier and helped us maximize the number of awesome photos we have.
The BIGGEST advantage to having Anthony coordinate was the calming influence he had on everyone (parents, vendors, us). This is why I say you should hire Anthony right away - he has so much experience and tact that he is able to steer people away from crazy ideas and support you in your awesome ideas. It was great to have him there to bring everybody back to earth, especially as certain people in our planning circle went a bit nuts near the end and we were nearing the end of our patience.
You don't have to have an enormous budget to have professional planning help, Anthony was worth every penny and he definitely saved us money in a few places (brought in an extra person at no charge to help flip the reception room, lent us his card box, etc). So take my advice and just go hire Anthony, he will make the wedding planning process way easier for you!
