    Amazing job, could not recommend her more

    Melissa did a fantastic job! We couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator, she thought of everything and I didn’t have a single worry the day of our wedding.

    7/15 wedding

    Mel was a great coordinator ! She helped me completely stay stress free during my wedding and managed everything. Everything was well organized and she was able to manage all the vendors.

    Really Disappointing and Stressful

    I hate writing negative reviews but I feel responsible to warn other brides that I had a really disappointing and stressful experience with Melissa. Our first meeting and contract was proming, but she failed to deliver on many if the things we agreed to in writing.

    In addition, 2 days before our wedding, she sprung a surprise cost on us to hire her teenage son as an "assistant" for 5 hours of the day. We had agreed to hire him to help with daycare for 3 hours at her recommendation. She mentioned in passing that she wanted to train him to help with events so it would be helpful to have him there and assist her with other things. When she asked for twice the rate we agreed to for him, we told her that was not in the contract and had never been raised by her before. She admitted this and wrote "it was negligent on my part" and then apologized for not telling us the rate sooner, but insisted we pay him that rate or he would not provide childcare. So she sent us a new contract she wrote 2 days before the wedding. We didnt have the time or energy to find anyone else for childcare in the middle of our family wedding activities that already began so we just agreed to a new contract with her son as an "assistant" but we felt totally scammed.

    The day of the wedding, her first communication was that she needed us to venmo her the extra amount and "take care of that asap." At the wedding itself, she never even let us know when she arrived and we ended up doing most of the coordination with vendors. Things were incredibly awkward with her and her son. We still had a great wedding, but I wish we didn't have to go through the stress Melissa caused us. I hope to save anyone else this trouble by sharing this story!

    In terms of the issues you mentioned, we would like to address them directly. Regarding the delay in reaching out regarding the remaining balance owed, we acknowledge our mistake. We faced unforeseen circumstances during that period which caused a temporary disruption in our communication channels. However, we take full responsibility for this oversight and understand the frustration it caused you. We will be working on implementing measures to ensure efficient communication and minimize any delays in the future.

    In regards to not meeting the contractual obligations, I would be happy to make time to go over the contract and hear your feedback on any areas that we may have missed as by our accounts, all areas agreed to within the contract were executed.
    Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during the coordination process. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We are grateful for your feedback, as it helps us grow and improve.
