Wow - where do I even start?! Well, I must start by saying I am extremely late with posting this review because I wanted to ensure I had all the photos and words to express what a truly spectacular wedding Lissa coordinated for us. I was referred to her by another planner and I’m beyond grateful for that recommendation. I had this (somewhat) crazy idea in my head that I wanted to plan a Harry Potter-inspired/New Years Eve/Black-tie wedding. It was important to me that my core team really share my love of Harry Potter to help me bring the vision to life, in an elevated/classy way. When we had our first intro call, Lissa and I immediately clicked…not only did we share a love of all things HP & dogs, but she understood (and was super excited) the vision. I didn’t want our wedding to be weird…just an elevated experience with a lot of HP Easter eggs woven throughout. Essentially, I wanted her to help me recreate ‘Hogwarts at Christmastime’!
Lissa & I worked together over the next year, and I really felt like I had a friend by my side. She helped me navigate what things I should spend more time on, where we could save some money and when I was going a little overboard & could save myself some stress! Lissa had worked with some our vendors before but not all of them, but it didn’t matter. She did a masterful job at coordinating everyone, the timeline, and ultimately how everything flowed the day of the wedding. When we initially began planning the wedding, we all thought Covid would be well behind us by the end of 2021...little did we know, things were about to get extremely intense and stressful. I’m a relatively low-key bride but reached my breaking point the day of the wedding (illnesses, cancellations, reorganizing, etc.) and Lissa literally took control of everything (she literally had my phone taken from me…bless you Lissa!). She coordinated with my MOH so I could focus on the day and take in all the moments I would have missed worrying about little details. It was only in retrospect did I really learn about all the little things that Lissa (& my MOH) shielded me from and just handled.
When I think back on our wedding day (and the time leading up to it), I can’t imagine working with anyone other than Lissa. She has a very cool, calm, collected demeanor but you will immediately realize what a pro she is and what excellent taste she has. Lissa was great to communicate with and was always quick to respond to me via text or email. Our venue wasn’t particularly easy to work with but, again, she was the ultimate pro and worked through the kinks and ensured that our Harry Potter-inspired, black-tie, New Years Eve wedding was true perfection! Almost as important as her skill, is the fact that she’s just a kind, nice, and wonderful person. There are a lot of nightmarish, high-maintenance wedding vendors out there and I had no interest in that kind of energy. Lissa was the perfect person to coordinate everyone and set the tone for our wedding vendors…she’s the perfect combo of professionalism, personality, and kindness!
Lissa - I am so grateful that Scott & I had you by our sides to guide us through this process...I literally cannot imagine working with anyone else. Thank you for everything! -

What a godsend Lissa (and her team) was. Even though we did the ‘event planning’ package, Lissa was still available for any questions we had throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond to make sure we had the most perfect day, and we truly did. We didn’t have to worry about a thing on our day and it was the BEST time ever!! Could not done this without her. ❤️ -

Best Wedding Planner Ever!
Lissa and her team were amazing to work with! Living overseas was a big challenge when planning our wedding, but with Lissa in charge, everything went so smoothly in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself! Having Lissa and the team take the lead on the day allowed us and our families to enjoy such a special day together without the stress of focusing on a million things at once. Not having to worry about when we would be taking photos, when we are doing speeches, when we have our first dance, was so nice - and Lissa kept us on track with all of this so well. She was so adaptable to catering for all of our changes and needs throughout the planning process, something we couldn't avoid being abroad! Her recommendations of vendors were absolutely perfect for our vision and our budget, and our guests thought so too! All of our guests kept saying how perfect the day was and how impressed they were with everything! I would highly recommend Lissa for your wedding planning needs, as she made our big day a memory we will cherish forever! -

Sophia and Luke’s Wedding
My daughter was married in September 2025, and since she lives in Australia while we are in the United States, planning her wedding initially felt impossible. The time difference and distance made it so difficult to coordinate, but thankfully, she and her fiancé found Lissa.
From the very beginning, Lissa worked closely with them staying in constant communication, and offering thoughtful guidance every step of the way. As the mother of the bride, I cannot imagine how I would have managed without her support across two continents. Lissa gave us the reassurance that everything would be handled, and she delivered exactly that.
On the wedding day, everything came together flawlessly, and it was truly perfect. Lissa’s tireless dedication, organization, and professionalism made all the difference. I highly recommend her, and trust me, you will not regret working with her. Lissa is, without question, exceptional. -

If you are looking for a wedding planner in the DMV, you have found your girl! Lissa is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. Nothing slips through the cracks with her. Your wedding day is a big investment, so it felt incredible having the peace of mind that our special day was in the hands of a true professional. Lissa is also incredibly personable. It felt like wedding planning with a friend. I always left our calls feeling energized that we were planning an event that was authentically us. I also appreciated Lissa’s top-tier organization skills. Every tool she utilized from Aisle Planner, to the logistics questionnaire, to the decor & inventory google sheet made everything run so seamlessly and made it simple for me to think through and communicate details we wanted for our day. I loved that Lissa met me exactly where I wanted to be regarding involvement in wedding planning. I wanted to be highly involved in vendor selection, design, etc., and she let me run full speed with that, but there was SO much happening behind the scenes that she handled seamlessly leading up to and on our big day. The day of was beyond enjoyable for my husband and I as a result - Lissa orchestrated everything to perfection! We could not be more pleased. Despite last minute switch-ups due to weather, every detail was flawlessly executed, every single vendor knew what they were doing with the new plan, and not a single guest would’ve ever guessed this wasn’t plan A. She somehow was simultaneously coordinating all vendors yet also by our side helping with whatever we needed - grabbing drinks, conducting bun CPR when my veil crushed it, getting lipstick out of my dress, she really covered it all! Wedding planning has a reputation for being stressful, but the planning process was such a joy with Lissa. -

Amazing perfect outstanding!
Lissa did an outstanding job coordinating our wedding. From the start, she was prompt, detailed, and organized with her communication. She seamlessly worked with the other vendors and made the day go incredibly smooth. Lissa really balanced being there for us day of to keep things running and get us anything we needed while also giving us the space to celebrate and enjoy the moment.

Lissa and her team was absolutely wonderful from the initial contact up to the end of our wedding day! No matter what kind of wedding you're having, she will make you and your partner feel like you have all of her attention as the most important couple. Throughout the whole process, she was so professional and supportive, even with not as traditional ideas. She had such a quick response time, usually within a day, or a couple hours, and sometimes even sooner! Her attention to detail in making my timeline was also amazing and I felt that we were able to have the whole day planned to the dot before the big day.
On the wedding day, she made sure everything ran so smoothly and we were not stressed out at all! We had some small hiccups with the layouts that our venue had set up, but a quick word from Lissa had them fixing the issue. She's the perfect amount of assertiveness, professionalism, and friendliness with everyone, including the guests.
The large thing that stood out to be was how much all of our other vendors loved Lissa and working with her, and I could see it throughout the day. Our venue had restrictions such as a short setup window, but Lissa communicated with them and navigated the situation very well to make everything go smoothly. Even though we had a venue management person for the day of, it was nothing compared to working with someone that truly focuses on you and your needs. Our vision was captured beautifully, and we do not regret hiring her at all! -

Lissa was our day-of coordinator for our wedding and we were blown away by her and her team! We started with a consultation call to get to know each other and was sent a google folder with so many helpful wedding planning tips and organizational tools. Our meetings were structured and we felt very comfortable asking her the many questions that we had. Lissa's strength is that she made us feel that "she's got us," and that all will be smooth on the wedding day. She communicated closely with all of our vendors well before the wedding date and even served as a middle man between vendors who needed things from each other. Though we utilized her in-person starting at 3pm, Lissa coordinated our ENTIRE day ahead of time so that it all ran well. During the wedding, she checked in on us and our parents several times to make sure all were happy while also cueing each event on the timeline. In addition to all of the task oriented things we were thrilled with, Lissa has a beautiful personality and we felt like she was another best friend at the wedding. Whether you need a full blown wedding planner or a day-of coordinator, we highly recommend her! -

Hiring Lissa as our wedding planner was the best thing we did for our wedding. Planning our DC wedding from Denver, we knew we needed help from a local expert, what we didn’t realize was we’d grow to be friends throughout the process. Hopping on monthly calls with Lissa leading up to our day we had the pleasure of getting to know each other as well as utilize her wedding expertise, by the time we got to wedding weekend Lissa felt both like a friend and was our greatest hype woman. Her investment in every aspect of the planning process alleviated so much of our planning stress. She helped us curate our amazing vendor team, shape our floral vision, pick out our tablescape rentals and ensured our wedding day went not only as we planned but better! Lissa & her team did the heavy lifting so we could enjoy our day care-free as the guests of honor. Our wedding would not have been so special without her. Lissa was absolutely amazing. Her level of organization, eye for detail, and coordination is incredible. We felt completely taken care of and really had no concerns going into the wedding -- we were totally confident that she had everything under control. All of her vendor recs were also spot-on, and she was able to give us the wedding of our dreams (and better). We had sort of a complicated wedding with multiple ceremonies and moving people across the city, but it was a perfect and utterly hitch-free with Lissa in control! Many of our guests even told us afterward how smooth everything went. She even helped us after the wedding to follow-up on some items with vendors -- going above and beyond her contractual terms to help us out. We couldn't have done this without her, and are so grateful for her expertise, attitude, and professionalism. -

Your ideal wedding planner
I can't say enough good things about Lissa and her team! Lissa has gone above and beyond since the day we started working with her for full planning services. She immediately followed up on emails, helped us narrow down vendors, review contracts and even followed up on random questions my parents and I had. Her amazing planning skills are extremely evident by how organized she is - she has a check list or guide for everything you could think of! Not to mention the day of she made everything run flawlessly from literally driving the golf cart at our venue to a perfect set up to being my hype girl before I walked down the aisle and got nervous. Planning with Lissa feels like you are planning with a good friend as she makes the whole experience easy, calm and fun! If you need any sort of support for wedding planning I would recommend Lissa & her team 100%! -

Lissa is fantastic to work with! We loved her from our first zoom call. She is so positive and has such an uplifting energy. We had a month of coordination package and my only regret is that we did not plan the entire wedding with her. We both work full-time and wedding planning is a full-time job. Lissa did her best and made our wedding day special and as relaxing as possible. Our family was charmed by Lissa as well!

We hired Lissa halfway through our planning process after having a bad experience with another planner, and she was an absolute GEM from day one!! We were so fortunate that she still had our date available. Working with her was such a breeze! She was always very responsive, organized, had great ideas, and made sure we secured our final few vendors and hotel room blocks without any issues. She's so kind, empathetic, and just generally fun to be around, and she put us both at ease throughout the stresses of wedding planning. On the day of our wedding, she and her assistant got all the decor set up/taken down, made sure everything ran smoothly and on schedule, kept us hydrated, and just generally made sure everything was flawless!! It was such a dream working with her, especially compared to what we'd been dealing with before. Lissa is a Bride’s dream to work with!!
Lissa and her team make you feel like you are planning your wedding with your best friend or closest family member! They are realistic, down to earth, extremely knowledgeable and ALWAYS there for you through the entire process. Lissa was so responsive, so calm, so kind, and so understanding, literally a brides dream to work with. From the moment you tell her your vision and budget she not only makes it happen but really does go above and beyond. Her associate planner Julianna is also amazing, she went to bat for me on our wedding day and the days leading up to it when somethings weren’t going as planned and fixed it in a blink of an eye, no hesitation. Our wedding was a dream come true and a large part of that was because of Lissa and Julianna. Even now that it’s all done I still chat with Lissa from time to time and I know exactly who I’m going to go to if I have an event to plan too. We hired Lissa as our Day-of-Coordinator (DOC)for our wedding reception on October 22, 2022. Since we already got married in 2020, we wanted to just enjoy the night, be stress free, party with our friends and family and finally celebrate our wedding. Lissa did a fantastic job and took care of everything that day.
To start, we were one of the couples who got married in 2020 and needed to cancel the big wedding party multiple times because of COVID. Lissa was so understanding and we did not have a hard time communicating with her. That’s when I knew that she does not treat her job as mere business but she really cares for her clients!!
Lissa and I exchanged emails a lot months prior the wedding and we had a meeting closer to the celebration date. She has given me a lot of advice through her responses, documents and references she shared. She also took care of coordinating all my hired vendors, creating an organized time plan and ensuring I did not forget any details during the process.
On the day of the wedding reception, Lissa and her assistant Raquel helped set-up the wedding decors. That was a big lifesaver since when I was initially planning, I wasn’t sure if DOC in general does that and when she said that she’ll do it, I was very relieved. So for all DIY brides out there, please hire Lissa and she will help you make your wedding vision into reality!
If there is one thing I will change, I will probably hire her Partial Planning service or if you have the budget, the Full Service planning. Lissa knows a lot of great vendors that she can suggest to the couple and they will be able to work together from the start and make your dream wedding possible.
Again Lissa is so worth it. She is very responsive so I feel secure throughout the process! Thank you Lissa for making our day more special and you were truly a lifesaver! -

We knew very little about the nuances of wedding planning going in, we definitely needed a lot of hand-holding to figure out what was possible, what we wanted, and what we needed. Lissa did a wonderful job making sure we knew what options were available and what was best for our needs.
Lissa makes sure that you and your party have to work your event as little as possible, if at all. She does a great job making sure everything runs smoothly so you can focus on having a blast.
Even though our wedding got rescheduled, Lissa was on it and made sure all vendors and contracts got transitioned smoothly to the new date. It would have been so overwhelming without her, and I genuinely believe it would have been a very stressful wedding without her! -

The BEST of the best!!!
Lissa and her team were absolutely AMAZING!!
We chose the Event Management package and it was the best decision we made. Lissa led us through our walk through and asked all the crucial questions to our caterer and venue coordinator that we definitely wouldn’t have thought of on our own.
During the last 30 days she took over all of the communication with our vendors (where we changed our seating chart, song list, shot list, and everything else, multiple times). She made sure that all vendors were notified of every single change, nothing slipped through the cracks.
On the day of, Lissa was calming and really just felt like a friend. My bridal party was so grateful that she came around and handed everyone tissues during the ceremony. During pictures she was constantly making rounds handing my husband and I water which was SO necessary.
Lissa made sure everything was packed up at the end of the night, taking the stress off the rest of our bridal party/family. Having someone on our side throughout the whole process was so worth it. 1000% recommend Lissa and her team!

Lissa went above and beyond to make my daughter's wedding day PERFECT. She was always available in the months leading up to the wedding--whether it was for vendor recommendations, advice on how to handle situations, you name it--she had the answers! She is like a breath of fresh air, with such a calm sense of confidence and an upbeat positive energy. She handled last minute changes without skipping a beat, and she took care of so much behind the scenes, many issues we did not even know about, until after the big day. By far, this is the best money we spent on ANYTHING related to the wedding. I would recommend Lissa again and again without hesitation, and I already have! -

12/10 Would Recommend to Any Bride-To-Be!!
Melissa was an absolute pleasure to work with. She really knows what she’s doing when it comes to coordinating/planning weddings and events. She’s so personable, kind, and genuine, which made her SO easy to work with.
We hired her as a Day-Of Coordinator and she truly went above and beyond! She was emailing with myself and vendors weeks and months in advance, and she helped us postpone our May 2021 wedding to May 2022—making sure our vendors were available and on the same page. It was so helpful to have her as a resource at that time.
And if I could go back and do it again, I would have invested in more of her planning services because they were that valuable! I have a feeling that if I had worked with her from the beginning, it would have saved me so much time and stress trying to figure things out on my own!
There were so many little things she did the day of our wedding without even being asked, like setting up our After the Tone Guestbook, moving decorations from ceremony to reception, herding family members for portraits, and so many other things that I’m probably unaware of!
I can’t thank her enough for all of the time and effort she put into making our dream wedding come true! 12/10 would recommend her services to any bride-to-be! -

A must for planning your wedding!
We hired Lissa for full-time wedding planning in 2021. We both knew from the beginning that we would need assistance with planning the wedding given our hectic schedules. Hiring Lissa was the absolute best decision and helped make the whole process enjoyable and not stressful. One of the things I valued most about Lissa were her recommendations of other vendors. She gave us options and really helped guide us to what choices would work best for us, without being pushy or controlling. Even though we went with full-time services, our wedding day felt personal and exactly what we dreamed of (and possibly better!) Lissa is extremely thoughtful and knowledgeable; she really thinks of everything. She was also incredibly responsive and answered all our questions throughout the process. The resources she provided as part of her services (Bridal Guide, Virtual Office, etc.) were extremely helpful and kept us on track. It was amazing to have her with us on our special day, we were able to be in the moment and not worry about all the details, schedules, and things that could have gone wrong. We would highly recommend Lissa to anyone planning a wedding! -

Working with Lissa is the best wedding decision you can make!
From our first email Lissa was such a pleasure to work with. Lissa's communication is great and throughout the whole process she quickly answered our questions and eased any concerns! We haven't been to a lot of weddings, so we didn't really know what to do at all. We did partial planning and having Lissa help with vendor communication and selection was so helpful, especially with so many vendors already being booked on our date. She had so many useful resources and vendor contacts, which really helped us to narrow down our vendor team and ensure we had every detail worked out for the big day! On the day of our wedding Lissa made sure everything went perfectly! Lissa is prepared to handle and situation that may arise on the wedding day and is a PRO at making sure your vision comes together perfectly! If you want to sit back and relax on your wedding day and give yourself the time to enjoy the day, you'll want to have Lissa on your team! -

Planning a wedding can be very stressful, but not with Lissa. Lissa made the whole process enjoyable and truly did all of the hard work. Lissa is not only an amazingly talented professional, but she is also such a beautiful soul. From the second I hired Lissa she was there to recommend vendors and answer all my questions (even the crazy ones). I have a type-A personality and was very nervous relinquishing all control on my wedding day, but Lissa made sure the entire day went perfect and was completely stress-free. Not only did she make sure I walked into the wedding of my dreams, but she was also by our side the entire day in case we needed anything. People always say you don’t eat, drink or even have a moment to yourself on your wedding day, but thanks to her we were able to do all those things! It truly was the most magical day. Lissa is like your own "Fairy God Mother". Planning a wedding can be a little stressful and nerve wrecking but as soon as my now husband and I chose Lissa to help us with Day of Coordinating we felt such a big relief in it all! I'm such a perfectionist when it comes to hosting events. I was really worried that some things weren't going to turn out the way we envisioned them. I thought I was going to have to go over and walk around everything to perfect some things, but when I walked into the reception area for the first time I was in tears because of beautiful and how perfect everything was! It was literally how we had envisioned everything thanks to Lissa being behind the scenes! Lissa was very responsive, helpful and reassuring. She kept in touch with all of our vendors and created an agenda to help our wedding day go smoother. Just all of that alone was a huge sense of relief for us through our wedding planning process. Lissa was absolutely amazing on the day of the wedding. We hired her a like a month before and since day 1 she was there to guide you, help you get organised, and bring ideas to the table. I am a detailed oriented person, so I had made quite a few things on my own. I had asked her to set up the decorations referring to the inspirational images, and she got it done! More importantly, my photographer had cancelled 2 days BEFORE THE WEDDING! Lissa, was on top of it before I had even read the email from the photographer! She was able find a few photographers available from her sources; who also did an amazing job by the way!
Lissa is someone you can really count on and 100% professional. If you are having any doubt about hiring her, don't hesitate because she is the best decision you could make for your day! -

Our perfect wedding, thanks to Lissa!
Lissa is the best wedding coordinator you can have on your wedding team! She kept our nerves calm while planning during COVID, in another state and with a venue that had never done a wedding before. My now husband and I had a tendency to get overwhelmed and procrastinate with our wedding planning but Lissa managed to break it down and make it easier. Because we were out of state, Lissa gave us fantastic recommendations for vendors and we absolutely loved every one of them. She went above and beyond answering all of our questions and probably more importantly asking us all of the questions we hadn't thought of. She even made sure our getaway car had dinner leftovers in the trunk so we had food once we arrived at the hotel and helped us return a cake stand after the wedding. As a bride, I was able to relax and enjoy every minute of my wedding day knowing Lissa and her team had everything taken care of. Even our guests commented on how well organized and put together she was. You really won't find someone better to help plan and coordinate your big day. Thank you Lissa, for everything. Our perfect wedding day would not have happened without you! -

A Wedding Need I Wasn’t Aware I Needed! Amazing!!
Lissa became our day of coordinator as a last minute addition. I believe we asked her to help us with our wedding a month or so beforehand. We hired her mainly to help with the set up of decor before the wedding. We didn’t want to stress about the little things that day of the wedding.
Lissa delivered on so many levels! Not only was the decor and set up for the wedding beautiful and creative, but it was so organized. She helped facilitate the flow of the wedding. Because of her, transitions were flawless.
I would recommend Lissa to anyone and everyone who is looking for a wedding coordinator. She is a delight to work with, organized, and professional. I can’t say enough positive things about her services. -

Co-vid happened and I was in need of a last minute day-of coordinator. Lissa was fantastic to work with; she was super organized and kept me on track. Most of all, her coordination with my vendors made it easy for me on the day-of. I didn't have to worry about which vendor was going, when and where. I highly recommend her services! -

Lissa Marie is a must have on your wedding day! We booked Lissa to be our day-of coordinator but what we didn’t realize was how much more we got by booking with her. Not only did she make sure our special day go off without a hitch, but she would even call to check in and offer ideas and advice throughout the entire planning process. We even had an emergency with my husbands suit a week prior to the wedding that thankfully Lissa helped us figure out. We highly recommend Lissa Marie Weddings and Events and plan to use their services for all of our future events!
