Our wedding at Linganore Winecellars on September 27, 2025 was everything we dreamed of and more. The property is absolutely breathtaking — the ceremony site overlooking the acres of vineyards felt like something out of a movie. Even with a little rain in the forecast, the views and atmosphere were still magical. Guests kept telling us how beautiful and unique the setting was, especially the mix of outdoor elegance and rustic-chic charm.

From the beginning, the venue team was wonderful to work with. They were responsive, organized, and genuinely cared about making sure everything went smoothly. Communication was always clear, and they were flexible with last-minute details and changes, which helped ease so much of the pre-wedding stress. Every question we had — big or small — was met with kindness and professionalism.

Our Day-of Coordinator, Brittany, deserves her own standing ovation. She went above and beyond from start to finish — keeping us calm, managing the timeline perfectly, coordinating vendors, and somehow being everywhere at once. She even had a backup plan ready when the rain rolled in and made sure everything transitioned flawlessly. I barely had to lift a finger because Brittany had already handled it before I even realized something needed attention. She truly made it possible for us to be fully present and enjoy the day.

We’ll never forget how cared for we felt — not just like another couple on the calendar, but like our day truly mattered. Linganore gave us the romantic, warm, vineyard wedding we’d always envisioned, and Brittany made sure it unfolded effortlessly.

If you want a venue that’s picturesque, professional, and filled with heart, Linganore Winecellars is it. And if you’re lucky enough to have Brittany as your coordinator, you’ll be in the very best hands.

Linganore was very cost-friendly and had exceptional service throughout the entire process. Linganore worked hand in hand with all our vendors to ensure that we had a smooth wedding. The venue itself is gorgeous with plenty of great picture spots and places for guests to go. They blew our expectations away (especially with the newly built ready room) and we can’t thank them enough for their professionalism and services. 100/10

Excellent venue for my daughter’s reception. The staff and the coordinators were super nice to work with because they were down to earth and understood what it takes to put on a good party! We were so happy with everything from the staff to the cleanliness of the venue to the flexibility we were given to set up and clean up and to the friendly atmosphere. The building itself is beautiful. Despite a terrible fire only a few yards away from this venue the night before the staff was not frazzled at all. It could have been a totally different story if the firefighters didn’t act quickly. I would recommend Linganore Winecellars to anyone!

Everyone was very professional, super helpful, and made the entire process a breeze! I have no complaints and couldn’t recommend more.

Linganore was the first and only venue we visited for my daughter and son-in-law's wedding. We knew it was going to be the perfect venue from the very start. Chris was personable and very easy to work with. He made sure to check-in with us and was extremely helpful. The pictures captured the true beauty of the property. We were all thrilled with how the day went. I even received thank you cards from some wedding guests letting us know what a great wedding it was!

Linganore Winecellars is an amazing wedding venue! Not only is the wine amazing, but the view is breathtaking as well. The staff was so helpful with every part of the planning process. Wedding planning can be stressful but the event staff made sure we had a clear schedule for the big day. We always felt heard and taken care of. On the day of the wedding they checked in with us and made sure we had everything we needed. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

From start to finish the staff at Linganore Winecellars made sure my wife and I had a relaxed and beautiful wedding day. Our Oct. 1 wedding showcased the fall beauty that is the site at Linganore. The grape vines looked majestic and the trees changing colors provided a wonderful backdrop. With rain in the forecast, staff provided us with plenty of spots to take pictures inside if needed - thankfully the weather held off and we were able to enjoy our ceremony on the beautiful hill overlooking the vineyard. Perfection only just begins to describe the amazing time that my wife and I had. Linganore was the perfect location and the staff did a tremendous job making sure that our wedding day was amazing.

I could not say enough good things about Marybeth and her staff at Linganore. From the second we spoke to the last call clean up at our wedding was a breeze. Marybeth made exexuyed or answered every question comment or concern we had throughout the whole process and never once made us feel out of place. Not only is the venue gorgeous you get the best one on one personal experience throughout the whole process. We could not have dreamed of a better venue or team to make our day the best of our lives.

The venue is so beautiful on its own I barely needed to decorate. Marybeth and Breonna were absolutely amazing and the staff was just wonderful. I could not have asked for a more perfect day! I recommend this venue to everyone!

Holding our wedding at Linganore Winecellars was a fantastic experience! The event staff made the whole process from start to finish so easy for us! We LOVED working with Mary Beth & Breonna and can't say enough good things about them! Mary Beth answered all of questions quickly and made wonderful suggestions to help us plan and organize everything for our big day. Breonna was so sweet and helpful at our rehearsal and on the actual day of our wedding! The venue was beautiful and both the winery event staff and the catering staff were friendly and professional. The wine & beer and everything thing that we ordered from the caterer, Fine Cuisine, was perfect! Not only did we have a wonderful time at our wedding but all of our guests said they had an amazing time as well! If we had to do it over again we wouldn't go anywhere but Linganore Winecellars!

Mary Beth was amazing and so helpful making the planning process as stress free as possible. She stayed on top of everything and really made sure that my wedding was the exact experience I was looking for. I highly recommend!

Mary Beth is such a blessing! From the very first phone conversation to the actual wedding day. We had to make a last-minute adjustment. And add some food to the menu. It was not a problem at all! Mary Beth made sure it happened. All our guests raved about the food and the venue.

I planned my wedding in one month. My first step was locking down a venue. I loved the scenic vineyard background The Linganore Winery offered.

The Linganore is so romantic, effortless and comfortable. (The Abisso hall is super spacious, made my invitees so comfortable in these COVID times).

They work with many vendors who are amazing and super professional, made it super easy to plan.

The staff was amazing!!! Knowledgeable, friendly, quick, helpful!! In moments of panic they handled everything for us.

My husband and I had an amazing wedding at Linganore Winecellars! The venue is beautiful and the staff was amazing! Our guests raved about everything from the view to the wine to the food! It was an amazing day at Linganore!

When we first looked at venues, Linganore Winecellars stood out immediately: the rolling hills and stunning views of the vineyard and spacious yet intimate indoor venue were to die for and perfectly captured the warm, rustic-glam vibe we were looking for. Additionally, Linganore's exclusive caterer Fine Cuisine Dining was delicious and Linganore's wines are top notch, so we knew our guests would be well taken care of in the food and beverage department.

Sadly our April 2020 wedding had to be postponed until May 2022 due to COVID-19, so in the meantime we held a very small elopement ceremony on the property in June. We are very thankful to Mary Beth Davis and Karen Pennington for not only being incredibly easy to work with and responsive throughout the wedding planning experience, but also flexible and accommodating in a very uncertain and anxiety inducing time.

Linganore is great. The people that we dealt with are super helpful and responsive, especially Karen P. The wine is good and all our guests seemed to enjoy themselves. We had about 120 people and it seemed like there was plenty of room.

I couldn't have gone with a better venue than Linganore Winecellars! From the first point of contact, Mary Beth was extremely responsive in scheduling a time for me to come see the venue as well as get together all of the paperwork that was necessary to book the place! When I walked in for my first tasting, the venue itself was breathtaking!! The ceremony area was gorgeous, overlooking the vineyards and the reception hall was beautiful!! Karen, the venue coordinator, was absolutely amazing with accommodating every single one of my needs all the way up to the wedding day itself! Through countless changes and updates on our plan, Karen was there responding quickly to every single one of our requests as well as giving insight! I honestly don't know how my wedding would have turned out if it wasn't for Karen!!! The staff at Linganore was absolutely amazing as well! Everyone is so sweet and helpful, they were an absolute pleasure to work with even when I was stressing out trying to keep things in order! Lastly, THEIR WINE IS AMAZING!!! My spouse and I regularly drive an hour away just to be able to buy a couple of bottles of their Black Raven and Mango Sangria! This is hands down the best venue I could've chosen and I am so grateful to have had my wedding at Linganore Winecellars!!

We loved Linganore Winecellars for our wedding venue. We opted for having an indoor ceremony and reception because of the heat of August. The Abisso Hall there is like a modern barn. It has extraordinary woodwork and beams and a beautiful floor. It's rustic yet with all the modern conveniences of air conditioning and elegant lighting. Plus you have access to use the rest of the venue for your ceremony and pictures etc. The venue event coordinator, Karen, was extremely kind and detail oriented and helped us to think of things we may have forgotten. I would highly recommend Linganore Winecellars for a wedding and we look forward to returning in the near future to simply enjoy one of their delicious wines or beers!

I knew Linganore was going to be high on my list for venues after coming to a tasting there. The space had so much room and was beautiful! The view was amazing and had lots of room for activities. The staff was great as well!

Linganore was the most dreamy wedding venue and the biggest value for a wedding! The grounds and reception area are naturally gorgeous so limited decorations were needed. MaryBeth and Karen were both very professional, responsive, and easy to work with. They were quick in responding with any questions we had and made wedding planning a breeze. The packages available for food made it so there were options for each budget. I loved every second of planning my wedding thanks to the folks at Linganore and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue for our big day!

I cannot say enough about the staff at Linganore Winecellars. Mary Beth was so helpful and answered all of my questions throughout the entire process. I planned my wedding from out of state and Mary Beth promptly and thoroughly answered all of my questions (as ridiculous as they were!) On the day of the wedding, we booked the bridal suite to get ready. It comfortably fit 9 people and 2 hair and makeup artists. It had a lot of natural light so our getting ready pictures were beautiful. The venue itself was absolutely stunning. Guests raved about the food, drinks, and the rolling hills. Many said it was the most beautiful venue they had ever seen! We feel so blessed to have had our wedding at Linganore and we are forever grateful to the staff at Linganore for helping turn our dreams into reality!

I am so happy that I had my wedding at Linganore Winecellars! Everything throughout the wedding planning process and on the day of went so smoothly; they were so easy to work with. The venue is beautiful, and a key selling point for me was that they have beautiful outdoor AND indoor spaces, so we would have a nice setting regardless of weather. The Abisso Hall is so beautiful that very few decorations were needed; though adding ceiling string lighting really made the room look magical.

The event coordinator, Mary Beth, was very professional and responsive. She replied to all emails promptly- and I sent a LOT! I was initially a bit concerned after reading many reviews that mentioned poor communication, but I was pleased to discover any previous issues had been resolved. Our on-site day-of manager, Brittany, was also wonderful. All staff checked on us frequently throughout the wedding day.

We got married on a Friday, and the price was very reasonable. I do think we paid for a lot more alcohol than we used since they charge a flat rate for every adult (we didn't have a big drinking crowd). However, the reasonable costs for the space rental and other things balanced that out. They also have a caterer that they work very closely with, and Mary Beth is also the point of contact for them. It was nice to have everything go through one person.

Overall the experience was amazing! I absolutely love the outdoor wedding experience. They were able to accommodate my wedding of 35 guest in a room that was perfect size. The personalized wine labels were perfect. The only downfall with my whole experience was with the contact I had for the wine labels was not responsive to my emails. The venue surpassed my expectations.

We have held multiple events at Linganore Winecellars and have been impressed every time with their venue and services. Mary Beth Davis is the best coordinator I’ve ever worked with.

Linganore Winecellars is without a doubt the place to have your wedding if you are in search of a rustic venue with elegance. The beautiful Abisso Hall is a blank canvas, that even if you didn’t paint it with your creativity and touches, still portrays an elegant and warm feel for your wedding day. The ceremony site looking over the rolling hills of vines and hops is everything! The photos will not disappoint and your guests will be mesmerized. We have been receiving the best compliments from our big day, and it was all thanks to the beauty of this venue. The staff here is so accommodating and WANTS to be apart of your big day. We had the pleasure of working with Jordan during our event who made all of the behind the scenes happen whenever we asked, and Alex at the bar making sure our drinks were in our hands before we even asked. I can’t express how wonderful it was that the staff engaged with us at our wedding and our rehearsal dinner. They wanted to get to know us as a couple, and our families. They didn’t feel like staff to us, but as our guests and we loved looking over seeing them having just as much fun as us! We also must acknowledge Mary Beth. I want to think of myself as a very organized and on top of things person, which leaves me with a lot of questions! Mary Beth graciously answered them all in a timely fashion. She did everything she could to make our vision bloom. Being able to have everything happen there was so convenient and accommodating. We were able to rehearse the night before at the ceremony site, have rehearsal dinner to follow, get to the vineyard early in the morning the day of the wedding, have everyone come to us (hair, makeup etc), and be able to relax and pull ourselves together at the winery and Red Shedman brewery, before the big I Do’s. We could not be more thankful for Linganore and their staff. Our big day was a magical dream come true because of them!

After hearing so many horror stories about weddings-gone-wrong, Mary Beth and Linganore staff were a dream to work with! They acquiesced to all of our requests and made the day go so smoothly. I would choose them over and over again without hesitation!

My husband and I had a few things on our list when looking for a wedding venue. Linganore hit all the boxes, and exceeded our expectations! I wanted an outdoor ceremony, and many venues have absolutely no backup plan for bad weather -- Linganore, on the other hand, has a plan for rain (ceremony in the pavilion) and cold (everything moved inside the hall). Since our wedding was in March, we felt so happy that we didn't have to deal with the stress of ordering a tent or something (and we didn't end up needing to). The off-season prices also couldn't be beat!

Above all, Linganore Winecellars was just a gorgeous, fun place to get married. Our guests raved about the beautiful rolling hills and historic barn, and the delicious beer and wine. Multiple friends came up to me and said that it was one of the best weddings they'd ever been to. We opted for sangria to be served during "cocktail" hour and that was also a hit. The affiliated caterer, Fine Cuisine, served delicious food (people were especially thrilled with the mini-crabcakes and scallops for hors d'oeuvres).

We also booked a rehearsal and bridal suite, which was well worth the money. With the ceremony being in a field with a long walk to the aisle, the practice was much needed, and it was very convenient getting ready on site. Mary Beth was always very communicative about all my questions throughout the process. We can't imagine our wedding having gone more perfectly! And now we can go back for a wine tasting anytime we want to relive it :)

We went there for our rehearsal dinner and everything was beyond our expectations. We would definitely go there again for another event!

We had lots of compliments from our wedding guests about how beautiful the venue was. Overall we have nothing but good things to say about Linganore Winery. Marybeth was very helpful and answered all of our questions as well as suggested things we didn't think of including ways to save money! The food from their caterer was great, the only complaint was that the plate wasn't big enough and they had to go back for seconds! Our site manager for the wedding was awesome and my best friend for the day making sure all of our needs were met and keeping us all calm and happy. I would definitely recommend Linganore Winery.

We absolutely loved our wedding at Linganore Winecellars! Mary Beth and Chaz were very easy to work with, and helped us with everything we needed. It ended up raining on the day of our wedding, so we held our ceremony under the pavilion instead of out on the lawn. It ended up working out fine and our guests gushed over the beautiful landscape.

We knew Linganore was the venue for us the first time we looked at it! It was the only place we looked at and we instantly fell in love. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful. The staff was incredibly friendly and their coordinator Mary Beth went above and beyond to answer all of my questions during the planning process. All of my guests were raving about how good the drinks and food were and how pretty the space was. One friend (who is a professional wedding DJ) said of all the weddings he's ever been to, the venue was the prettiest he'd ever seen. Overall we could not be more pleased with Linganore!

The most beautiful wedding! I fell in love with Linganore as soon as I saw it and knew I had to have my wedding there. Mary Beth and Chas were both amazing to work with. All my guests thought it was a beautiful backdrop for ceremony and reception.

Everyone at Linganore was wonderful, especially Mary Beth & Chaz! They were friendly and professional and a joy to work with. Despite the uncooperative weather, they were able to accommodate all of our guests by moving cocktail hour inside and opening the bar there earlier than expected. We even adjusted the floor plan the day before when I found out there would be two additional sheet cakes at the reception. We barely decorated and everyone kept complimenting the Abisso Hall and the general scenery & ambiance. Wonderful experience, I would highly recommend it.

My wedding and reception at Linganore Winecellars was beyond perfect. I'm still getting compliments from our guests on the venue and the wonderful staff. Mary Beth was great to work with and Chaz could not have been anymore helpful. The food from the in-house caterer, Fine Cuisine, was fantastic and everyone loved the beer and wine which is all made onsite. Linganore Winecellars is the perfect place to get married!!!

Before our wedding: The location was perfect for our wedding ceremony and reception. FYI: There are a few places the ceremony can be held. The in-house caterer was informative, friendly and adaptable to requests. The winery has a new location for brides to get ready in which is also perfect for storing items for the wedding. Although it was at times difficult to get a hold of the event coordinator she ALWAYS responded to any messages and questions we had in a timely manner. She too was able to accommodate any changes we requested in a professional manner.

Day of wedding: The Linganore staff was extremely helpful, professional and friendly the day of our wedding. I don't know if our wedding could've gone more smoothly! Food, although I wasn't able to each much of it because of mingling, was delicious and exactly what I expected from the tasting.

What a beautiful location for a wedding! Everything was perfect even tho the weather was not. At the rehearsal we decided to move the ceremony into the venue versus outside and we are sooo glad we did. The decision made the wedding even more intimate and beautiful. During the process Mary Beth was awesome. The staff was professional and friendly during the evening. I highly recommend Linganore for any occasion.

We are SO happy we had our wedding and reception at Linganore! Mary Beth was fantastic to work with. She took the time to understand our needs and was very responsive whenever I had a question. On the day of the event, it could not have gone smoother. Chaz from the winery was on-site all afternoon and evening, making sure everything was set up and completed on time. During the event, the catering staff was extremely attentive not just to my husband and I, but also to our guests. The venue is absolutely beautiful - no decorations needed! I would HIGHLY recommend having a wedding and reception here. The price is reasonable and the people are fantastic!

Linganore Winecellars was the venue for our wedding! We had everyone seated for the reception during the ceremony inside and it turned our beautifully! The timing of the night went amazingly, our guests said it was one of the best timed events they have ever been to! The wine and beer were great, and our guests loved it! I would highly recommend Linganore for a wedding or other event! All of our guests said it was a beautiful space, and I could not have been happier with it!

Linganore Winecellars was the PERFECT place for our wedding and reception. We had our ceremony on the hill overlooking the vineyards and our reception was in the Abisso Hall barn. Gorgeous!! The staff was always so sweet and welcoming. They let us take over alot of areas to get pictures done...even in areas where customers/visitors usually can't go. The catering staff, Fine Cuisine, who works with Linganore was also amazing. Great food, great people. We would recommend Linganore Winecellars to any couple who enjoys the 'WINE' life, or even an adorable country couple who just wants something beautiful and simple.

The staff was excellent from the beginning of the process through the end. We were well taken care of during the whole process, especially on the day of the wedding.

Our son and daughter-in-law were married at Linganore Winecellars on September 7, 2013. The service was wonderful and the event was truly storybook quality! Most guests said it was the best wedding they ever attended and kept commenting on the venue. Good work Linganore!

I cannot say enough about this venue. Not only is it a beautiful place, but the quality of the services provided was exceptional, and the people with whom I interacted were amazing. Mary Beth Davis was instrumental in all aspects of planning and provided advice and vendor information for everything. Since we were from out of town, it was especially important for us to have someone who could assist with local details. She always had time for our questions and responded immediateky. On the day of the event, Sara, was present making sure everything was perfect. A great job and a wonderful relaxed event!

At the time of my wedding, this place did not have an on-site caterer. The person in charge of events there at the time, Lisa, was very nice and awesome to work with! I had I believe to others I went to prior to her at Linganore, but she was the best! They were very flexible and worked with me on what I needed. The only thing was I didn't get my refund on my wines that were unused (I contacted them once and they said they would be back to me, but never did). I could have contacted them again but I figured since they were so nice, it didn't matter too much.

Mary Beth was very attentive and so sweet. I planned this wedding in less than 6 weeks and they were so easy to work with.

I could not have picture my wedding any more perfect than what it was! Everything was amazing and the services that were provided to me exceeded my expectations!! I loved every minute of it and it was so beatiful! Thank you to all the help provided to me!

Amazing group of people. Everything was exactly the way we wanted it for our reception. The room looked fantastic and our guests all loved how rustic everything was. They made our reception perfect. The wine was great and they even let us bring beer in!

I had the most fun picking my favors out. We got to wine taste and customize labels for our miniature wine bottles (when they actually aren't so miniature -- they're the perfect size!)! Erin was always prompt in answering my questions and sending me proofs of our labels. They also made it so easy for us to come in and pick them up -- I had nothing to worry about. We selected two flavors - Mountain White and Apple Spice. Three months later, I am still receiving compliments on our favors. That's nice to hear considering guests generally don't care for typical wedding favors. My only regret is - I left my sister and mom in charge of taking them out of their boxes and prepping them for the big day and they left all the plastic wrap on every bottle so it made them look a little bit trashy sitting on the display table. So if you deligate this project to someone else, you might want to request they remove it's plastic wrap to reveal it's beautiful label!

I love Linganore! It will always hold a special place in my heart, especially now that I got married there. The staff is wonderful, especially the new wedding coordinator, Mary Beth. She has been fantastic in helping me through the process, and always had answers to my questions. She tried her best to solve any problem that came up and was very open to any ideas we wanted to try. She was flexible in trying to meet with us, especially since we lived 90 minutes away and could only meet on weekends. Linganore is also very reasonably priced. Also, the catering company they work with, Fine Cuisine Catering, is wonderful. The reception hall is stunning, and the perfect site for a reception. And the natural landscape of the winery is the PERFECT backdrop for photos. The wine is really tasty, and the guests loved having unlimited glasses of all six wines we chose. I also ordered mini wine bottles as our wedding favors, which the guests LOVED. They came out looking wonderful, and I'll definitely keep them as a memento forever. I would highly recommend using Linganore for your wedding location.

We visiting Linganore during one of their music festivals, and knew it would be the perfect wedding venue for us. We were looking for someplace beautiful but relaxed, and Linganore delivers. The ballroom is wonderfully elegant and easily accommodated our 150 guests with sit-down dinner and dancing, the grounds are beautiful, and the staff is warm and very flexible. We got married in May, and while the grape vines still just had baby leaves on them, the fields were lush, and our pictures turned out beautifully. We did both the ceremony and the reception on site, which made the whole day easy for everyone. Our guests felt like they were on a mini vacation, and many made a point of touring the winery and taking some wine home with them. We weren't sure how our guests would respond to the absence of beer and mixed drinks, but everyone enjoyed the wines, and the fruit wines were great for anyone looking for something a little different. There's no kitchen on site, but we didn't find that to be a challenge at all--all the caterers we contacted could easily adapt.

My finace and I knew that we wanted to have our wedding somewhere different. When we went to a wine festival at Linganore Wine Vineyards, I knew that we had found one of the most unique places to have a wedding. The pictures alone were worth it. It was a rough start because they just hired an event coordinator, but it turned out wonderfully! Be mindful that you can only have Linganore's Wine...no Beer, no Liquor - there is an old prohibition law that makes it a wine only establishment. Also note that the event coodinator is that, she is not a day of coordinator - so on the day of make sure you have someone in place. Overall though, it was the best idea I ever had :)

We had our wedding at Linganore and things couldn’t have gone more smoothly! Using the in-house caterer (Fine Cuisine) meant everyone was on the same page and there was no stress the day of. Mary Beth, who works with both companies, was extremely responsive, helpful, and kind. She was always very clear when writing contracts or answering questions.

The location is beautiful if you can have your ceremony outside but I was always worried about rain or excessive heat. However, Linganore has 2 built in back up plans- the ceremony can be moved to a covered pavilion with a few days notice or it can be done in the hall with guests in their dinner chairs on a few hours notice. We did not have to exercise those options and had a beautiful ceremony on the hill, but it really eliminated weather worry leading up to the wedding.

Our on-site manager the day of was Brandon and, although we didn’t work with him much because everything was all set up already, he was available and very pleasant. Guests loved the selection and quality of wine and beer (and so did we). I honestly can’t think of any problems with Linganore or Fine Cuisine- they were awesome!

I loved Linganore and Mary Beth and Sarah. I had more interactions with Mary Beth and if I could have given a 4.9 instead of a 4.5 for responsiveness, I would have. The only issue I found was in finding time to talk to Mary Beth when she was at the winery. As I work a full time job it was tough so most of our communication was through email, which was not major because everything was worked out prior to the event at the last meeting. There was some delays in getting back to emails because she is there part time and is very very busy. Knowing that upfront helped. She also always had everything covered.

My guests loved loved loved the venue. It was new to almost all of them and they raved about how pretty and unique it was. The winery staff as always was very helpful and accomodating. Any minor hicups were glossed over and they rolled with it. The guests never knew that there was an issue. Well except that we ran out of Black Raven.. haha Overall it was all really wonderful and we had a great time.

Linganore Winecellars was a great location for our wedding. We had a lot of flexibility there and we lucked out with a very beautiful day! While there were a few emails that took over a week to respond, all in all everything went smoothly! The outdoor ceremony was beautiful and the indoor reception hall was perfect. What I really liked about this venue was that we had an alternative if there was rain, but luckily - we were okay! We had a beautiful day, a lovely ceremony and a really fun reception! Linganore staff was really friendly and helpful. All in all - a wonderful wedding and venue!

I Loved every moment I spent at Linganore. From day one I fell in love with the place. It was beautiful, unique and smells wonderful inside. Jessica, the co-ordinator I worked with helped me out so much. You will not be dissappointed if you use this site for a wedding. They offer wine tasteings and tours for your wedding guests during the reception. The Linganore Facility was beautiful! We could not have been happier. Mary Beth and Crew did a great job. I highly recommend doing the "Sangria Hour" outside when weather permits as the outside area had great views of the vineyards and rolling hills. The wine and beer selections were great and we had a lot of fun coming out to Linganore to taste the beer and wine ahead of our wedding reception.

Linganore was such an amazing venue for our wedding! We truly appreciated the flexibility of the staff when we moved our ceremony to the pavilion due to the weather. The Abisso Hall was a perfect set up for accommodating our guests (135). MaryBeth, the wedding coordinator, was responsive to our requests and Chaz, the event manager the day of, was extremely helpful! If you are looking for a more natural ambiance, then Linganore is it. Our guests kept saying how awesome it was to have part of the event outside on the grounds and then move to the hall later on in the evening.

This is a beautiful venue. The weather did not turn out like we'd hoped, but there were several option for
us to choose from as alternatives. The Abisso Hall is grand and beautiful. Mary Beth Davis was so professional
and patient during the whole planning process. She would reply to my questions right away. Chaz was our go to guy the day of the event and was right on top of everything. He couldn't have been more helpful.

We chose the venue cause we wanted to have an outdoor, barn/rustic wedding and liked Linganore's price (coming from DC, they were half the price of most options locally). I loved having my wedding here! The first look pictures were gorgeous out in the vines, the ceremony was held out in the field with the rolling hills behind us, the cocktail hour was held outside on the patio (initally planned under the pavillion but we decided last minute to enjoy the weather), and the reception was in the hall. I worked with Mary Beth leading up to the event, who was very quick to reply when she was working, but only works part time so not always as quick to reply as I would have liked. Chaz was our day of coordinator and he was really helpful yet laid back. Two things to keep in mind: 1) the venue is not really close to anything, so we paid a hefty price for transportation to shuttle nearly all of our +120 guests to and from the venue and hotel. 2) We had the ceremony on the hills facing the vines at 5:30pm so the sun was blinding our guests as it set. Fortunately, a cloud covered up the sun during our ceremony, but otherwise, it would have been really uncomfortable for our guests. Overall, couldn't have asked for a better venue.

Choosing Linganore as our wedding venue was the best decision we made! After looking at several other venues we started to feel like just another couple getting married in a sea of cookie-cutter wedding factory venues. We wanted our wedding to be unique and special and that's exactly what we got at Linganore. The scenery at Linganore is breath-taking and a photographer's dream! We loved the rustic backdrop that Linganore offered... the red barn, the vines, the rolling hills - all made for stunning photos that we will cherish for a life time! One of our favorite things about Linganore is that we had the whole venue to ourselves - no one else was getting married on the same day that we had to share or divide space. And, the reception hall was beautiful as well... very pretty wooden room that smelled lovely and provided a very simple, yet classic setting.

One of our worries about having our wedding at Linganore was the fact that we could only offer our guests wine. Although, we love their wine, we weren't sure all of our guests would be satisfied with only that option. That worry was put to rest when we were told we could bring in two half kegs of beer, which turned out to be plenty. And, surprisingly a lot of our non-wine drinking friends opted for the wine anyway and really enjoyed it! Our guests also loved the sangria cocktail hour too - big hit! And, we liked how that option made our wedding unique. Others may worry that there is only one caterer, but do not worry about that because the food from Fine Cuisine is delicious! We served the salmon (amazing) with the carved beef, mashed potatoes (so good!), mixed veggies, and regular garden salad.

We love that we can go back to Linganore anytime and re-live our wedding. Choosing them as our venue has given us lots of options for traditions that we can look forward to in the future. If we were to do it all over again we would go back to Linganore in a heartbeat - simply gorgeous!

Linganore Winecellars is an ideal place to have your wedding. The setting was gorgeous and provided for fabulous pictures and a great party. It rained on our wedding day and we were able to move the ceremony inside just moments before. The hall was picturesque and did not need a lot of decorations. Working with the event coordinator was seamless and easy!

This venue was great! The views for my ceremony were picturesque and the Abisso Hall was charming. Mary Beth was very accommodating and worked with my budget.

Linganore is absolutely beautiful and the staff is extremely helpful when planning the wedding. Many of our guests commented on how pretty both the outdoor ceremony location (even in the pouring rain), sangria hour pavilion, and indoor hall were. The air conditioning in the hall worked well, which was important for our July wedding. The staff at Linganore let me have the wedding outside, even with rain forecasted, which I appreciated. I did not see any of the staff unhappy or complaining, even though they periodically had to dart from the main building to the pavilion in the drizzle. One staff member even went out to wipe off the ceremony chairs before the ceremony in an attempt to keep the guests a little drier.
Linganore provides wine barrels, tables/chairs, and great staff for the event. Fine Cuisine, their preferred caterer, works seamlessly with them so all of our guests complimented both the food and drinks. The other vendors also seemed pleased to be working with the Linganore staff, so I appreciated never having to step in to sort anything out.
My only issue with Linganore was that occasionally their event coordinator, Mary Beth, was a bit difficult to get ahold of via email. She was friendly and professional every time we did connect, but several times I had to send emails twice and there was a bit more coordination required there than with any other vendor I worked with. It's absolutely not a reason to not use Linganore - I still highly recommend it - but just be aware that if you haven't gotten a response in a few days, you should probably resend your email.

I just had my wedding at Linganore and everyone was raving about how beautiful the venue is. If I had to do it over again, I would still have my wedding at Linganore. Something to watch out for, though, is that the administration sometimes has errors in the invoices they create. Really it is just Mary Beth working ALL the weddings, so it is understandable, but something to flag as a watch out if you were to work with this venue. Other than that, the service is great. Mary Beth answers all your questions via email / phone, and I thought Fine Cuisine's staff was incredible. In addition, Chaz was a fantastic day of person on the site. If you do book with Linganore, I would recommend Karen Farrow at Celebrated Events as your DoC.

Linganore Winery- My husband and I got married in April 2015. We had the ceremony on the lawn behind the reception hall. Even though it was an unfortunate 50 degrees, it was a gorgeous setting! The staff set up the chairs earlier in the day so that friends were able to add a few decorations in the area. We held the cocktail hour and reception in the reception hall which was gorgeous. It's such a beautiful venue, we didn't decorate anything other than the tables and it still looked perfect. Mary Beth is the contact person and she's great. She gets back pretty quickly with questions (and I asked A LOT) and is very organized. Chaz was the day of contact person and he was so nice and accommodating. Overall, I had a great experience with Linganore and everyone we worked with.

My husband and I were married at Linganore on July 25, 2014. The ceremony took place on the lawn overlooking the vineyard, wine bar in the pavilion, and reception in the Abisso Hall. We tried to book a Saturday in the summer around November 2014. Needless to say it was difficult, but Mary worked with us to make sure everything else went without a hitch. Since we were paying for our own wedding, she suggested alternatives for meal planning and was helpful with planning the layout of the tables, settings, etc. On our wedding day, Chaz was extremely polite and made sure the whole day moved smoothly. I never saw any of my vendors the day of my wedding, but everything was where it needed to be and all scheduled events were handled exactly. The ceremony overlooking the vineyard was a great backdrop. We couldn't have asked for better weather. Our photographer loved all the locations for pictures and the natural wood in the Abisso Hall was absolutely delightful in the pictures. My guests also found all the staff to be polite and friendly as well. Loved them! Highly recommend for easy wedding planning, a gorgeous backdrop, and wonderful service. My wedding couldn't have been more magical, and I give most of the credit to the beautiful venue and the event staff that were on site that evening. The hall was simply gorgeous, and the staff did everything they could to serve us - including taking over the assembly of some stubborn cupcake stands that they knew we were too stressed to do ourselves!! Linganore was the perfect venue for a winter wedding! We needed a space where we could have both the ceremony and reception, and it worked perfectly. The guests loved the tour of the winery they were taken on in between the ceremony and reception. The room was beautiful, and especially for our vintage themed wedding, the high wood ceilings and huge windows looking out to the snow made it romantic and cozy. We hardly had to decorate the room at all because it was already so beautiful. Lisa was so flexible and accommodating, I felt like she was one of my friends just attending the wedding. She came in on her off hours to meet with us, came early to open the winery so we could get in and get ready for the daytime wedding, answered all of my phone calls, and eased every worry I had. The catering they provided through Fine Cuisine Catering was also SO much value for what we paid, and looked and tasted like we spent a lot more : ) Mary Beth, the caterer, was also very helpful. My husband and I had a pretty tight budget, and both Lisa and Mary Beth did everything they could to give us the most for our money. It was a beautiful day, and I still have yet to see a venue that would have been as perfect and beautiful.

My husband and I had a beautiful ceremony and reception at Linganore Winecellars. Our ceremony on the vineyard lawn overlooking the vines was absolutely picturesque (and our pictures were gorgeous!) and Abisso Hall was the perfect space for our group of 105, with ample space for eating and dancing. We used the venue's in-house day-of wedding coordinator, Chris Waldron, and really appreciated the amount of check-ins he did before the wedding and how much attention we got for quite a low price compared to other day-of coordinators.

For the most part, Linganore was great! They have good wine and beer and the atmosphere was incredible. We had minor issues with little details. When we booked the venue, we requested a 5 hour time slot. A year later (and within months of our wedding) we found out we only had a 4 hour bar package and we had to add a cocktail hour package.

Their wedding coordinator left a few months before our wedding so we had to reiterate our plan, seating chart, etc. to the business manager. This may have caused (or at least contributed) to the forgotten details. Overall, they are worth the money but be prepared to repeat yourself and double check details with them.

Linganore was the perfect location for our wedding. The views for the outdoor ceremony were amazing and we got so many compliments from our guests. The reception hall had nice tall ceilings and seemed so magical, especially with twinkle lights. The staff was also very easy to work with and always easy to get in touch with. I do wish that the beverage was a little more flexible. For instance, I had to purchase a beverage package for my 86-year-old grandmother who has never had a drink in her life. Other than that, you really can't go wrong with Linganore.

Wow! I fell in love with this venue after searching high and low for the perfect space for our wedding. I worked with Mary Beth, who helps with the venue planning and the catering if you use Fine Cuisine. She was fantastic! I sent her MANY emails and she was very responsive. The venue does have some restrictions, but we found the planning process to be much easier since they provide chairs (nice looking ones too), tables, linens, food and drinks. The drink selection was amazing (I'm now a die-hard fan of Linganore Wines) and the craft beer is very good. We had some guest disappointed that Miller lite and Bud lite would not be served, but my husband and I love craft beer and wanted to support a local brewery. We were so happy with our choice in location and our guests had a great time!

Mary Beth and her staff at Linganore Winecellars were so wonderful to work with, and the team at Linganore was so helpful throughout the planning process. Linganore was such a beautiful place to get married, and the reception hall is so unique! Every one of our guests said what an awesome time they had at our wedding and what a great venue it was. Mary Beth was wonderful about providing all the information regarding cost, fees, what's included in packages, etc. up front, which is so helpful when deciding on a wedding venue. Linganore was reasonably priced for a winery wedding in the MD area, and it's location nestled among the farms in Mt. Airy makes for a great drive. The wine at Linganore is awesome (and I am someone who does not like wine)!

Mary Beth was professional, helpful, and really helped in the planning process. The day-of staff are super helpful, Chaz was amazing to work with! They set up everything and helped us with setting up decorations, which was not part of his job but he went above and beyond to make our day perfect.

Linganore has a caterer they work with who are reasonably priced as well. We were under-whelmed with the amount of food we had at our cocktail hour, but we spoke with Mary Beth about it after the wedding and she was apologetic and listened, which is awesome to have in a vendor. I appreciate vendors who can listen to feedback and take it to make the next event better, and that's how I feel Mary Beth was with our feedback. Our dinner buffet was to die for. The food was amazing, and I didn't want to stop eating it!

I absolutely LOVE Linganore! It is one of our most favorite places, so naturally my husband and I had no hesitations about getting married here. It is so incredibly beautiful from the outdoor area for the ceremony to the wooden building with high-ceilings for the reception. We used the caterer "Fine Cuisine Catering" that works with Linganore and they were delicious. The staff at Linganore is all so friendly and amazing!
My only issue was that it took several calls/emails at times to get a response from the events coordinator. As it got down to crunch time this did stress me out a bit, as it was about a week out and I had still not received my final invoice. However, it all worked out and everything went smoothly. Also, I did hire a day-of-coordinator last minute since I had a lot of DIY projects, and that was absolutely the right thing to do!
I am so glad we were able to get married at Linganore because it was beautiful and absolutely perfect! The guests all said it was one of the most beautiful venues that had ever seen, and it fit our personalities perfectly. Plus, the wine is delicious!

Lisa Hanagan is a great coordinator and Linganore is so lucky to have her! She helped calm our fears and concerns and made sure our wedding day was perfect! The price, serene location, and friendly and helpful staff made Linganore Vineyards the perfect place for us! We had to do a lot of outside research to get all the extras we needed (linens, silverware, caterer, etc.) but Lisa was right there to help us along. There was very little decorating that needed to be done since the barn and lawn are are GORGEOUS- that saved us some serious time and money!

It was a beautiful day for my wedding Linganore Winecellars. For the outside ceremony chairs, trellis, barrels and water station were all ready for my guests. Inside the hall tables, chairs, bar and food area all ready. Wine is so good especially the raspberry. The beer is really good too. Non drinkers had options of soda, tea, water. Were flexible with allowing us to bring our tractor to the location for pictures. Mary Beth was quickly with responses to our questions. Only thing I could say needs improvement would be the bridal suite.

The vineyards and venue is beautiful. I loved it. The day of staff for the bar and everything were really awesome. They even started remembering my guests names and their drink preferences throughout the event. The venue itself is pretty flexible on what you can and can't do. They even give you a day of coordinator and she was really nice and friendly. She was given a timeline of the day but I don't know what she really did because I barely saw her. My maid of honor made sure everything went according to plan. The person in charge Mary Beth isn't the most friendly person in the world and wasn't always reachable but she was pretty easy going for the most part.

The venue is absolutely stunning and the on site team was helpful, my big day ran smoothly!

Overall, Linganore Winecellars was a fantastic place to host our wedding. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day, so we hosted the ceremony outside overlooking the vineyards. The Abisso Hall was the perfect blend of modern amenities and rustic charm for the reception. Since our contact there, Mary Beth, only works at Linganore in the mornings, I found it a little frustrating throughout the planning process because she could be difficult to get a hold of, and we had to do a lot of schedule rearranging to make it to the venue prior 11am to do our final walkthrough. I feel like they do so many weddings there that they should have a full time person who is at least available during normal business hours. The service the day of the wedding was impeccable, the winery staff along the with the caterers from their exclusive caterer Fine Cuisine did a great job. I would also highly recommend getting the string lights from one of their preferred vendors, Celebrated Events, as that really made the room extra magical.

I can't stress enough how beautiful Linganore is. I'm still very much pained by the fact that we weren't able to take full advantage of the rolling hills, as it was freezing cold and raining the day of our wedding - but we don't regret our venue choice for a second. Abisso Hall is a stunning place for a rustic, but elegant, reception, especially with string lights placed above the dance floor. Mary Beth was very responsive to our questions throughout the process. The only drawbacks of this venue are the lack of flexibility - no kitchen or freezer, so ice cream anything is not an option, and the caterer strongly recommends buffet-style receptions instead of plated meals. Also, inclement weather plans have to be agreed upon three days in advance. The pavilion (ceremony site in the case of rain) provides shelter, but not relief from cold temperatures, so guests were clamoring to get into the reception hall ten minutes into the cocktail hour. And unfortunately, it is not nearly as lovely a ceremony site as the vineyard lawn. Despite this, we still had the most incredible day of our lives, and would absolutely go with Linganore again in a heartbeat.

I absolutely loved my ceremony and reception at Linganore. It's a beautiful spot, the staff was wonderful, and all of the guests loved the Linganore wine and Red Shedman brewery beer!!

We celebrated our wedding at Linganore Winecellars December 2022 and it was a lovely experience. No major hiccups or complaints. The location is beautiful inside and out and made for a great romantic ambiance with minimal need for decorations. This is great because you only have two hours beforehand to do any decorating. Any issues we had were minor and probably stemmed more from us not having a wedding planner and just being generally unaware of what questions to ask/how to plan an event. When we initially toured the person who showed us the event space was not on the event staff and seemed to just know about the winery, not the event side at all. We had to ask a lot of questions to get any actual information, luckily we were both from the area and knew other people who had been married there before with good experiences. Mary Beth was good with responding to email but we always had to ask direct questions, there was no reminders for deadlines or information to be sent in. I also realized after several weeks of not getting any email response that she was not getting any emails I sent to her email address. Her email ended in @lingaorewines.com, but she would only respond to emails I sent to @linganorewines.onmicrosoft.com. Once I figured this out I didn't have any more email issues. There were some check ins from other event staff but it was always via phone all during 9-5 so I couldn't answer. When I was able to contact them it was just a "do you have any questions" check in without any new information or reminders being offered. I am a pretty organized person so this was mostly fine, but there were some inconsistencies on documents for when things would be due that I had to ask about a lot. Overall, when I posed questions (and I had many) I always got a response pretty quickly and they were happy to help. They also offer a DOC package that I was not aware of until months after I had booked the venue. I would have gladly used this package had I been aware of it earlier. We had requested a specific bartender, but they were not put down for our event which was a bummer and there was no communication to us that they wouldn't be there. Overall the venue was great, but due to the limited time for decorating beforehand and taking down decorations afterwards I highly suggest you minimize the decor or hire a DOC who can also decorate. They will put together a timeline, but don't do much to assist during the wedding or rehearsal. That's probably standard across most venues, but is a little confusing because they indicate an event assistant will be onsite to help, but they really just supervise you. The beverage package was great and definitely worth it to have unique local beer and wine. We got a lot of compliments on that aspect. The food was pretty good, but we did breakfast for dinner and that's pretty hard to mess up. The caterer we had to use with the venue was Fine Cuisine and they were a bit unorganized. We received last minute questions from them as late as the night before the wedding which was mostly fine, but a bit annoying. I believe you can now choose from five different caterers which would be much better. Overall I would recommend this venue without hesitation, especially if you are interested in a simplistic, romantic, cozy type vibe.

Linganore was a wonderful venue for a great price!! We decided to go ahead and hold and teeny masked social distanced wedding ceremony because of the pandemic - and linganore was really great working with us to arrange their banquet hall in a way where everyone felt comfortable.

Linganore exclusively works with Fine Cuisine Catering - and the food was not great. I would not recommend Fine Cuisine for quality of food - but they were very accommodating since we had a take away dinner reception (due to the pandemic). Unfortunately, Linganore is a package deal with Fine Cuisine - and its possible if we did a plated meal at the venue, the food would have been better? But our tasting was also not great so I am doubtful.

Our wedding day at Linganore Winecellars was perfect- and what wasn't perfect didn't seem to matter much in the end.

We lucked out with the weather but if you are looking for an outdoor vineyard wedding- this is a gorgeous place. The winery and tasting room will also most likely be open to the public during your event. This didn't turn out being an issue for us. The ceremony location is around back and they do their best to discourage onlookers although, I guess, it could happen. Cocktail hour (for an additional fee) was able to be set up under a pavilion to be out of the sun.

The reception space is in a barn but it is not too rustic. With the right decor, it could be more rustic or refined. The provided tables and chairs were perfectly acceptable to me. You have a choice of linen colors through the caterer.

You won't have a choice in food which is one less decision you will have to make but you are also stuck with pretty basic catering food. The wine is good and per Maryland law, you will only be able to serve alcohol from Linganore or Red Shedman. We thoroughly enjoyed our tastings prior to deciding what would be served at our reception.

There is a bridal suite but it is small and basically just a mirror and bathroom. We had to bring lawn chairs to have seating. There is nowhere for the groom to get ready unless you want to rent an additional space for the day. My groom said he kind of wandered aimlessly prior to the ceremony so it would have been nice for him to have a private place to go.

The coordinator, Karen Pennington, was newer but seemed competent. When we hired the venue, we were told that there wasn't a coordinator so it was nice to have her. We definitely wouldn't have hired a separate coordinator had we known this ahead of time. She was able to answer "Linganore-specific" questions that we had such as how to arrange such a long processional.

A few minor complaints: there was construction on a sidewalk that leads around the winery to the ceremony site that we were not informed of ahead of time. Guests and bridal party basically had to walk on gravel for a portion which wasn't pretty and also a little dangerous. I'm sure this is complete by now. Second, the ceremony site is in a field/meadow. The grass was fairly long when it was mowed so there were significant clippings stuck in my dress and veil. I would have rather not have spent half of cocktail hour trying to pick it out of my dress. If the grass couldn't have been kept short over the summer or raked, it would have almost been better left uncut.

We have beautiful photos of our ceremony and reception. We look forward to coming back to Linganore Winecellars and remembering our special day.

We loved having our wedding at Linganore! Mary Beth worked with us on all the advance planning, answering our millions of questions along the way, and Chaz was our day of contact, making sure that everything went smoothly.

Hurricane Joaquin hit the weekend of our wedding, and Linganore was very flexible with us. We moved the ceremony from the lawn to the pavilion and held our cocktail hour into the Abisso Hall. It wasn't ideal, but everything worked out in the end, and the staff ensured that our guests were taken care of.

The biggest concern to think about with this venue is distance/road conditions to Frederick, where the nearest hotels are. The roads are windy and dark at night, which can be difficult whether you are providing transportation or not. Linganore works exclusively with one caterer, Fine Cuisine, but there is an option to pay extra and bring in a caterer of your choosing. We found the pricing for both to be very reasonable. Beer and wine must be provided by the winery and onsite brewery, and liquor is not allowed to be served, which was only a slight concern for us. Ultimately it cuts down on overall costs and guests still have a great time!

All in all, I would definitely recommend Linganore for their beautiful grounds, rustic barn-style hall and friendliness of staff!

While most everything was perfect, some of the event staff complained when they had to wipe off the ceremony seats after a rain storm, and most of the seats were not wiped off completely if at all.

We had our ceremony and reception at Linganore Winecellars and were completely pleased with the event. The property and reception hall is absolutely gorgeous and our guests continue to talk about how beautiful the location is! They were quite flexible when working with us on arrangements for our wedding, and they give you many options to choose from (for example, we chose to do an outdoor Sangria cocktail hour inbetween our ceremony and reception which guests loved!). The staff who setup and worked the event were absolutely wonderful and helpful! My only criticism would be a lack of responsiveness by the event planner. In the beginning, it was very difficult to get responses via email and phone call (likely due to a very limited work schedule of their event manager). This got a bit better closer to the event but I still felt as if I had to initiate conversations and follow-up to ensure everything was completed. Otherwise, I was completely thrilled with Linganore Wincellars and it is a lovely setting for a wedding.

Linganore Winecellars was an absolutely beautiful venue for my September wedding! The weather was perfect, so the venue was exactly what I wanted it to be for the ceremony! The back-up weather plans weren't great, so fortunately I didn't have to implement them. Mary-Beth was very nice to work with, but it seemed like she had a lot going on as Linganore's event planner. Linganore is such a popular venue it should probably have a designated wedding liaison. Occasionally my coordinator and I had a hard time getting responses from Mary-Beth. We weren't given reminders/notices of deadlines and had some small charges in result. Linganore only let's you use their wine and you can only bring in a limited amount of beer (up to 2 kegs). The beer limitation was frustrating but understandable. Linganore recommends one associated caterer or for a ridiculous charge you can choose from 2 others. Mary-Beth also handled the caterering contracts which was somewhat confusing and a little frustrating at times. The Abisso hall was great for the reception, with the exception of the hideous curtains (barely noticeable to guests probably). I'm so glad I had a picturesque wedding at Linganore, but the planning process could have been a little bit smoother. Finally, it is generally reasonable venue however there are several charges that come up.
