Look no further!! My husband and I got married at LBR in August of 2025 and it was the most magical weekend celebrating with our closest family and friends! We loved that we got the whole resort to ourselves and the privacy/intimacy that came with that! The resort has everything to offer and more for your guests. From the rehearsal dinner to the welcome party to the reception to the after party, all those events can be held right at LBR with the most incredible views and atmosphere! The venue speaks for itself! The most incredible part of this venue is the Director of Sales & Events...Melissa Nein! She is beyond wonderful to work with and by the end of it she felt like family. She was so organized and on top of things and made my life throughout the wedding planning process SO much easier! They have a great system down at Linekin and really know what they're doing when it comes to planning weddings. I can't recommend Linekin Bay Resort enough for a wedding venue! From the moment we stepped on property we fell in love and can't wait to go back for years to come!! Thanks LBR and Melissa for making our dream day a reality!Linekin Bay Resort's reply:

Didn't we have some FUN planning your wedding weekend??! It was such an honor to be a part of your celebration and all of your special touches & details made your weekend so uniquely yours & Pat's... I remember your gorgeous Welcome sign from your engagement shoot, the blue lobster lollipops that so perfectly coordinated with your beautiful patterned napkins, and I really wanted to keep the lights you added to the deck railing and inside the West Lodge! It was so much fun watching your guests dance the night away after enjoying the Cocktail Hour raw bar & your "Marlin's Mojitos" signature cocktail (what an adorable sign with your pup on it & those personalized coozies!), getting silly in the camper photo booth (I will cherish that photo of when the event staff and I snuck in for a quick pic, haha!), and then sitting down to the delicious dinner menu you so carefully planned out.
It was so wonderful to have the opportunity to have the time to get to know all of your parents as well, so please say Hi to Paul & Cheryl and Cathy & Jim, and I hope you all have a joyful holiday season together!

We always knew we wanted to get married in Maine, and Linekin Bay Resort ended up being the perfect choice. It was easy for guests to reach, and having everyone stay on-site made the whole weekend feel like a joyful mini vacation.
The property is beautiful and unique—some guests stayed in cozy cabins tucked in the woods, others in bay-view rooms. We kicked things off with a fantastic lobster bake, followed by a Saturday full of activities for guests while we got ready. The weather cooperated, and our ceremony by the flagpole overlooking the bay was truly stunning. From cocktails on the deck to a candlelit dinner main lodge and dancing in the renovated west lodge, the entire day felt intimate and seamless, even with 150 guests. We ended the weekend with a warm, relaxed goodbye breakfast that made it hard to leave.
A huge part of our great experience was Melissa. We didn’t have a wedding planner on-site, and she filled that role with enthusiasm, patience, and real care. We were LBR’s first lesbian wedding, and the staff truly celebrated that with us. Flying the Maine Gay Pride flag at our ceremony is a moment we will never forget, and we felt supported and welcomed throughout.
The food was excellent all weekend, the staff friendly, and the updated accommodations charming and comfortable. Guests loved having so much to do—from water activities to tennis, pickleball, hiking, or just relaxing on porch chairs with a book.
A couple things to know:
– The room rates were a bit of a sticker shock for some guests, and prices went up from when we signed the contract to the time of our wedding.
– There were moments throughout the weekend where staffing felt a little stretched.
Overall, our wedding at LBR was unforgettable, joyous, and exactly what we hoped for. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Maine venue with that classic coastal magic.Linekin Bay Resort's reply:

When they all busted out their copies of the "run of show" document at our pre-event meeting, I was truly in awe of their teamwork and advance preparation!! It was such a beautiful thing how they were so invested in working together to make your wedding the perfect celebration of the two of you. Of course, I'll also never forget all of your special unique touches from your custom signage & seating chart (the largest seating one I've ever seen!) and all the nods to your adorable kitties!
It was wonderful to see you and all of your guests enjoying the food, your beautiful Signature Cocktails, and all of the activities on the property!

Melissa at LBR was ON POINT! She was excellent at communicating and coordinating our event. She made sure everything went the way we had dreamed of and even made last minute changes for us.
The resort itself is breathtaking, on the rocky coastline of Maine. The food and drinks were phenomenal and views were stunning. The rooms were also gorgeous! Everyone had a wonderful time and I would go back again in a heart beat.Linekin Bay Resort's reply:

Anyway, it was such a pleasure working with you & Zack on your Elopement ceremony. It was so intimate with just your family, and the flowers you added to the space were breathtaking! We had our wedding at Linekin Bay Resort, and I can confidently say it was the most magical day we could have ever imagined. From the breathtaking coastal views to the exceptional staff, every detail exceeded our expectations—and so much of that is thanks to Melissa.
Melissa was with us every step of the way throughout the planning process. She made us feel supported, heard, and truly cared for. I felt like I could hand anything over to her and she would not only execute it perfectly, but go above and beyond. She helped guide us through every decision and brought so much creativity and attention to detail—from the stunning tablescapes to our beautiful dessert table setup. I didn’t have to lift a finger once I arrived; everything was handled with care and professionalism.
The staff at Linekin Bay were just as incredible—attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in making our day special. They helped create such a warm and welcoming environment for us and our guests.
And the food… WOW. The chef absolutely knocked it out of the park. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented everything was—it truly felt like a level above any other wedding they had been to.
Linekin Bay Resort is already a stunning venue with its serene waterfront views and natural coastal charm, but it’s the people who make it truly extraordinary. I cannot recommend this venue enough to anyone looking for the perfect coastal wedding experience. We had the BEST wedding weekend ever at Linekin Bay Resort!
Going into the wedding planning process we really wanted a wedding weekend experience! We had been to weddings in the past where once the night was over at 10pm we felt like we wish we all had more time together! Linekin provided such a unique opportunity to host our guests in a way that made it feel like vacation for them! Our favorite part of the “camp” style setting was watching all of our guests enjoy the amenities. From paddle boarding, volleyball, fishing, sailing, pickleball, and more! Spending so much time together leading up to the wedding truly allowed us to enjoy our wedding day as a couple.
The day before our wedding we had a pickleball tournament to kick off the wedding! We really felt like this allowed people to get to know each other in such a casual way! After that we had a lobster bake welcome party with all of our guests on the lawn! We enjoyed the amazing food, yummy drinks, and even corn hole! Melissa really went above and beyond to create a laid back feeling that night!
September 14, 2024 (our wedding day) was nothing less than perfect! From the vendors, to the weather, to Melissa keeping a perfect schedule! Melissa and the Linekin Bay staff really do have the wedding planning down to a science. They lay everything out so easily for you to make decisions and even give recommendations on timeline, food, vendors, and much more! Melissa took our vision and made it a reality! I remember telling Melissa at the beginning of our planning that I wanted the least amount of stress as possible and to truly enjoy every moment! And just that happened! Over 3 months later and we still have the post wedding blues!
Our guests continue to talk about our wedding that it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and we couldn’t agree more! We can’t thank Linekin Bay Resort enough for hosting the best weekend! We can’t wait to come back! -

As guests our favorite weddings we've been to were the ones where we had the option to be present with the couple and other guests for the weekend. We enjoyed how it slowed the pace down a bit and really let us enjoy our time celebrating. It was something we wanted to mirror for our own wedding. Shortly after becoming engaged we came across Linekin Bay Resort and it just seemed to fit the bill perfectly. We got the brochure and quickly booked a tour. Within minutes of our tour with Melissa we were absolutely sold. We never even looked at another venue once we came across Linekin. The amenities, privacy, and rooming options made the venue package too good to pass up for a Fall wedding weekend. One unique thing about Linekin was that if you are renting out the venue to keep it private for your guests they require a rooming block. You are tasked with assigning the accommodations for your guests so you are able to optimize the multi family cabins, single family cabins, hotel rooms, etc. It truly felt daunting but Melissa was so incredibly helpful and it quickly became a puzzle no different from a room block. Our friends and family were pleased with their accommodations as they were all beautiful with full amenities! Large groups of friends loved being in their own rooms in multi family cabins and more reserved guests appreciated the privacy of their single cabins. Everything is so close together people were able to have their space to retreat while being able to join the fun within minutes. The absolute standout of the whole experience was working with Melissa Nein, the events director. She was willing to offer honest suggestions and feedback about questions we had and we were confident in taking her advice with her wealth of experience. All of our interactions with staff were wonderful. They all were so friendly and personable. The support from Melissa throughout the planning process and the weekend itself really made us certain at every step we were going to have the best experience possible and we truly did. Your Signature Cocktails signs were so beautifully done and added not only a personal touch but a little whimsical humor naming them after your pups, “Aldo’s Apple Cider Mimosas” and “Rufus’ Rum Punch” - so fun! The scented candles were a great choice for the favors, and it was fun to watch the guests smelling them and commenting on all the different fall scents!

I recently had my wedding weekend at LBR this past September. Truly it was the most beautiful dream of a day and there isn’t one thing that I would’ve changed. The staff were amazing and brought all of my (many) visions to life! Melissa was a godsend with the planning process and was attentive every step of the way. We had the absolute JOY of getting married at Linekin Bay Resort on September 7th in what was truly the most perfect wedding weekend we ever could have dreamed.
As a type A Bride, I had read through every review on here before we booked our wedding, all of which highlight the venue coordinator Melissa. I cannot emphasize enough how truly incredible she is at her job. I know how to plan, but Melissa knows how to PLAN, and stay SO calm, cool and collected while doing it. Down to the drink sitting at our seats when we walked into dinner, to delivering a plate of apps to us in a hidden enclave before we entered cocktail hour. She even called and confirmed with all of our vendors and set up every delivery/ set up time, something on my to do list before she told me it was done. She goes IMMENSELY above and beyond her job to make every wedding perfect.
Now to the venue. I think we could have won an award for how many guests said “this is the most amazing venue ever!” The views, the amenities, the breakfast, the newly renovated rooms, and all the staff from the bar to the sail shack to the servers are kind, smiling, and ready to help!
Having everyone on site was simply magical and something that we couldn’t imagine having any other way. Doing the room assignments CAN be a little overwhelming but I PROMISE, it’s all worth it in the end.
Finally, the flow! While planning our wedding the one thing I was always nervous about was the dinner and dancing being in different spaces, especially since we were having a band. Melissa continued to reassure me that “it just works,” but I remained a little anxious. I am here to tell you IT JUST WORKS! and it’s SO great!!! Yes, it’s different than every wedding you’ve ever been to and that’s part of what makes it amazing. It was so nice to not have tables being cleared during dancing, it did not impact the flow of the band whatsoever, and every guest said “that was so cool!”
Genuinely- Nick and I have repeatedly said the only thing that makes us sad about our wedding was that we couldn’t attend it as guests, because that’s how great of a time they all had!
To the entire LBR staff and Melissa- we cannot thank you enough! And we cannot wait to come back to experience the magic that is LBR for many Septembers to come!

When searching for our wedding venue, my now husband and I wanted two things above all else: to have our family and friends on property with us all weekend and to be on the coast of Maine. Linekin was truly the perfect place to make our wedding dreams come to life. The property is absolutely stunning - from every cabin type, to the Main Lodge where the reception was held, to the ocean views everywhere you step. It takes your breath away and our family and friends couldn’t stop telling us what a perfect getaway it was. But what was even better, was the ability to house nearly all of our guests on property, to be able to eat breakfast with them each morning, and to just have the entire place to ourselves for our favorite people. Again, it felt like a dream. While Linekin was perfect for us in these ways, what really drove the experience home and made our wedding our favorite day was the incredible staff and food. From the first tour, we knew Melissa would be a joy to work with. She’s incredibly kind, responsive, flexible, organized, and patient - everything you want in the person coordinating every last detail of your big weekend. While planning a wedding is always stressful, she truly calmed my nerves at every turn and I couldn’t have imagined working with anyone else. The staff around her was also incredibly professional and friendly, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. We hosted our wedding at LBR over Labor Day Weekend and could not be happier with our choice. Our main criteria when picking a venue was finding a place where all our loved ones could stay together for the weekend. We hosted 120 people at Linekin and everyone fully enjoyed the facilities and activities — it felt like a fun summer camp! We swam, kayaked, paddle boarded, and played pickle ball and many lawn games. This is what makes LBR so unique and the perfect choice for a long weekend summer wedding.
We worked with Melissa to plan our weekend and feel so grateful for her help. She answered my endless questions, knew every little answer, and kept everything organized and calm. Melissa and her team perfectly executed all the big and small details for our lobster welcome party and our wedding day. The spaces looked beautiful and the food was delicious. Most importantly, our guests had a wonderful time!

the PERFECT cozy coastal wedding venue
We were looking for a venue where we'd be able to spend the whole weekend on site with our wedding guests on property and Linekin Bay Resort was the PERFECT fit for this. We could say 1 billion amazing things about LBR from the location, to the food, to the staff, to the views, cabins, on and on! The wedding coordinator, Melissa, is absolutely phenomenal to work with from start to finish! She is clearly the most perfect match for that job, takes away so much of the stress of wedding planning, and made our weekend more perfect than we could have ever imagined! Every single aspect of this venue is beyond wonderful. The staff makes everything run smoothly and they truly made us feel like family! If you’re looking for a “local” destination wedding with THE coastal Maine vibe, this is your place!! Our guests were raving about the accommodations (some of our guests are already planning trips to go back). My #1 piece of advice is GO VISIT THIS PLACE.Linekin Bay Resort's reply:

I wish I could give 10 stars to Melissa and the staff of Linekin Bay. They truly performed a miracle and made dreams come true. Our original venue canceled on us three weeks before the wedding. While Linekin had another small wedding on their last weekend of the season, Melissa was able to fit our group in for a Sunday Wedding and provide the perfect, most beautiful wedding for our daughter. The ceremony spot was breathtaking, the rehearsal and reception food was wonderful and the staff was great. Unbelievably wonderful event that our friends and family could not imagine could be put together in three weeks. -

Linekin Bay Resort was the perfect place for my son and his bride to be married. The oceanfront grassy lawn was perfect for our group. As Mother-of-the-Groom, we hosted a Lobster Picnic dinner for all guests on Friday night. The huge and fresh lobsters, with traditional accompaniments were as much a hit as the wedding meal itself. Melissa, the wedding coordinator, was terrific/prompt with all communication, flexible with ideas, and attended to every detail on the nights of the events. She gave me confidence that our event would be as special as it was. -

This place is magical
We started our venue search knowing we wanted something that felt authentic and unique, was outside, and had onsite accommodations. Let me tell you - Linekin Bay Resort exceeded that and then some. There’s something magical about LBR and it was so fun to have the place to ourselves for the weekend!
We worked closely with our coordinator, Krista, throughout the planning and were so thankful to have her running the show on the day-of. She put us at ease and effortlessly handled anything that came up.
The value at LBR cannot be overstated. I’d heard a lot of horror stories from friends feeling nickel-and-dimed at their weddings (not at LBR, obviously), but we experienced the opposite. The staff is incredible and fun to work with, and anticipated needs for us and our guests.
In the end, LBR had everything we wanted and more. Gorgeous setting, lovely venue, delicious food, warm & welcoming staff. Highly, highly recommend. -

The rooms, the setting, the food, the people and the gorgeous views – everything was just ideal. Most of our guests said our wedding was one of the most fun they’d ever been to (other than their own) and there’s no question the venue played a huge role in that. Having everyone together in one place was important to us and we wanted to provide out-of-town guests with true Maine experience. LBR was perfect in showing them “the way life should be” and giving everyone an amazing mini-vacation. Krista, the onsite coordinator, is an absolute Rockstar. She handled every detail without breaking a sweat. She worked with us to get the menu, the cocktails, the timing and all the décor just right. From setting up candles and chairs to coordinating an AWESOME welcome party to having everything packed up in boxes by breakfast on Sunday, I barely had to lift a finger. We also wanted our dog to be part of the big day, so having a pet friendly venue was huge! Krista made our pup feel like part of the family throughout the whole process.
Doing the room block and assigning rooms (prior to RSVPs!) was the most challenging part. I worked off a google doc, which helped me make changes live as guests started RSVP-ing. I’d also recommend discussing with as many guests as possible the two “options” – nicer, updated rooms that are pricier or “rustic” for a great price. They are pretty different – both in price and quality. I did end up having to “upgrade” a few guests to hit the room requirement, but was worth it to make them feel special.
If you’re considering LBR for your wedding, I wouldn’t hesitate! The resort is only getting nicer with the renovations and the setting can be as casual or as glammed up as your vision! It’s a perfect place for creating a truly perfect wedding weekend.
