Lindsay was wonderful to work with for our 60-person restaurant wedding. She was so professional and efficient during getting ready photos and portraits, helping us feel comfortable despite our nerves! And so seamless in her work during the event itself. And the photos are absolutely beautiful - so bright and romantic, while still feeling authentic, which is exactly what I had hoped for. Highly recommend Lindsay! -

Lindsay and Greg have been a pleasure to work with so far! My fiance had them there to photograph our proposal and I liked them so much that we booked them for our engagement and wedding sessions as well. We are both slower to open up type of people and Lindsay and Greg have been really easy to talk to. We didn't feel awkward and were comfortable with them. We have some beautiful photos and everyone has complimented their work. I can be anxious, but Lindsay has been really easy to work with. She has a calm presence and I really like how she's set me at ease! Lindsay and Greg targeted their work to match things that we wanted to incorporate. I shared some Pinterest images with Lindsay and she saved them and actually posed us in them during our session! I offhandedly mentioned one of my favorite shots from our proposal during our engagement shoot and they came up with something so cute to do that matched the vibe of that right then and there! I also was honest with Lindsay about poses I didn't like up front and she made sure to pose me in a way that I felt like allowed me to be more confident and comfortable. We can't wait to see what they can do at our wedding! -

Lindsay King goes above and beyond!
Highly recommend Lindsay King! I am so happy with the customer service and quality of the photos for my surprise proposal. Lindsay + Greg went above and beyond in three ways :
1) She is willing to meet in person before the proposal to plan the day. This made me feel at ease and able to just focus on the proposal on the day.
2) There are two photographers to capture different perspectives. Also they were extremely generous with their time and got creative with mini-session afterwards!
3) The turnaround time for the sneak photos was so fast! We got 20 photos in a matter of hours. It was nice to be able to share those moments with our loved ones so quickly. (About a few weeks later we got 100+ beautiful photos! )
The bottom line is that you should book Lindsay King for surprise proposals and any occasion! -

Gorgeous micro-wedding photos
Lindsay captured our mini-wedding in October 2020. After COVID hit, we were uncertain as to how our planned wedding would turn out. In the end, we decided to have a rooftop ceremony at our home in Baltimore and canceled our plans for a large event in downtown DC. Lindsay worked with us to make sure we still had plenty of beautiful photos of the day. She drove an extra hour to attend, and we took photos in Federal Hill Park prior to our private ceremony. She was responsive to our fluid plans and respectful of our concerns, and the photos turned out beautifully in the end. Thank you so much for capturing such gorgeous memories for us! -

I reached out to Lindsay about 3 weeks before my proposal. I had planned to take my fiancé, Tiffany, on a birthday trip to DC for a few days and wanted to propose to her at some point during the trip.
When I reached out to Lindsay with my idea, I immediately realized I had made the right decision. Not being from the DC area, I was extremely nervous about finding a suitable location, especially given the fact that we are in the middle of a pandemic. Not only did Lindsay help me lock down a location, but she sent me multiple options complete with pictures and details about the surrounding area. Once we picked a location, she sent me a detailed map showing exactly how to get to the exact spot, and where/how to stand to get the perfect shot.
Needless to say, the proposal was perfect. Lindsay was super incognito as we approached the location, and after capturing the moment she proceeded to take many beautiful photos of us in the surrounding area. She had plenty of ideas for shots she wanted to take, but also asked us if there were any specific shots/places that we wanted to capture. She sent us a bunch of awesome photos within a few hours of the proposal to share with our families, and the entire catalog was delivered to us within a week.
I was thrilled with the experience. Lindsay really took a lot of the stress out of the planning while still leaving the important details up to me. I could not recommend her enough to capture your proposal.

We can’t thank Lindsay and Greg enough for sticking with us over the past year (we had several postponements). They truly made us feel comfortable and relaxed. We felt like we were just hanging out with friends taking pictures while wearing super fancy outfits :) They were like photography ninjas at the reception, stealthy capturing such wonderful moments! Lighthouse Wedding
Lindsay and I go way back; 4th grade to be exact. I was the new girl in a new school - and so was she! We bonded over this shared experience and became friends. Fast forward to 2019. Lindsay and I had lost touch because we’d both moved around quite a bit, but we stayed in touch through social media. And how serendipitous that turned out to be! Both Lindsay and I ended up in Virginia, only a few miles from one another. She started her photography business, Lindsay King Photography, with her husband, Greg, in Arlington and it just so happened that my sister was looking for a wedding photographer who would travel outside the country. I messaged Lindsay, asking if it was something she’d be interested in. She enthusiastically accepted. My sister was absolutely thrilled with her wedding photos, so much so that when it was my turn to choose, I knew exactly who to pick. Lindsay and Greg were fantastic to work with. They came with my soon-to-be husband and me to the lighthouse where we held our intimate wedding ceremony. Later that evening, they took photos of our beach reception. The photos they took were amazing and they made it a day I will never forget. To Lindsay and Greg - you made this experience so easy and enjoyable. I can’t thank you enough for being there on such an important day. It’s a day you made even better and I’ll treasure the memories through these photos forever. -

They came to AFRICA
(Wedding date: March 2019) Lindsay and Greg were absolutely wonderful to work with. They were easy and accommodating to my (and my husband) very specific needs - travel all the way to South Africa from Virginia! We were worried we would have to spend a fortune for that kind of request, but Lindsay King Photography made it happen at a reasonable price. Their photographs were incredible, so much so that my sister used them for her wedding later in the year (Sept 2019). I couldn’t ask for better people to work with and the pictures they took were beyond anything I could imagine. Not only did they include photos from the wedding and wedding reception, but they took photos of our safari ride! It was an experience I’ll never forget. Lindsay and Greg were fantastic to work with! Met with them before my surprise proposal and engagement shoot to cover best time to capture sunset and best locations at the Jefferson Memorial. Then when I had to move my surprise forward a week they were super easy to coordinate with and the shoot went off with out a hitch!! Amazing photos and a Great team to work with!! -

Best in the business!
Lindsay and Greg did an absolutely incredible job capturing our proposal. From the moment I reached out, they were responsive and accommodating - advising on the best timing, waking through the proposal site, and providing feedback on potential contingencies in case of inclement weather. They were professional, friendly, and made our special day one that we'll always remember. They also produced incredible photographs that we still get compliments on from friends and family, one year later. We can't recommend them highly enough! -

Amazing DC Wedding Photographer
We had the best experience working with Lindsay and Greg. From our first meeting, they immediately made us feel comfortable and clearly understood what we were looking for. Our 65 guest wedding took place at a DC restaurant - Lindsay and Greg perfectly captured the laid back atmosphere we wanted for the day, and were extremely supportive in helping us plan how to capture the moments that mattered most to us. While our day didn't include many traditional wedding elements (wedding party, cake cutting, etc.) they guided us through making sure that between our portraits and candid shots nothing was missed.
Lindsay and Greg were knowledgeable and professional from start to finish. They helped us plan our schedule for the day, advising us on how long we would need for our portrait session (they were spot on with their timing!). By the time we arrived at the location they had scouted out the perfect spots for our portraits. Throughout the session they gave us just the right amount of guidance, both allowing us to interact with each other naturally and giving us direction for poses that led to stunning photos. All of our friends and family who came to the portrait session were impressed by Lindsay and Greg's efficiency, professionalism, and direction. Several people commented that they had never seen such a well run wedding portrait session. And those candids! Thanks to Lindsay and Greg, we have amazing photos of each one of our guests, allowing us to experience the joy of the day each time we look through our album. They were so discreet during the reception that several of our guests thought that they left after dinner, when really they were there for (almost) the whole party.
We were so impressed by Lindsay and Greg that we decided to order a wedding album from them as well. No surprise, they were extremely helpful and responsive while creating the album, and the final product exceeded our expectations.
From start to finish, we were so happy with Lindsay and Greg, and we can't recommend them highly enough. -

Lindsay saved the day for our scrappy DC ceremony. We had planned for a big Texas wedding in March, but had to quickly pivot when COVID hit, and planned a mini ceremony in DC in 1 week. I contacted Lindsay 5 days before our wedding to see if she was available. She responded immediately, expertly guided us to find the perfect location, and was so flexible throughout the week to work with our ever changing plans. We met Lindsay for the first time at our "first look" and it was clear she was the right pick. She was very professional and calm, guided us to the best spots with different poses, and made the most of our 2 hours. The whole day was joyful and hilarious, despite the COVID circumstances, and she captured it perfectly. The photos turned out so beautifully. And it's been wonderful to share with our family and friends who were unable to attend - a special way for them to feel like they were there. As my dad said "Photographer is soooooperb!" Highly recommend Lindsay! -

Lindsay and Greg are absolutely the best photographers that I could have ever asked for! They’re just amazing, I don’t even know where to start with. Their survey, well, the form that they want people to fill out to contact them, is quite unique and thoughtful. For example, it asked me questions like what makes my love with my girlfriend (now Fiancé!) unique and if there’s any sentimental elements of my proposal, which did take me a while to fill out. But once I did, I just felt like I appreciate my relationship with my other half even more.
Working with them is also very pleasant fun. I reached out to them literately less than a week before my proposal, and I honestly didn't think this could work out in terms of time, but they quickly got back to me and let me know they were available and provided me with their detailed availability. Then we decided to meet for coffee around the place I decided to propose to discuss the details. Of course, I was going to propose to my girlfriend, so I got a bit excited. I was indecisive with the location, and I had been email bombing Lindsay for a couple of days about that. Luckily Lindsay and Greg were really patient and professional. They explained to me why this location would work while the other location would not. When we met for coffee at Georgetown, they took me to a location they recommend, which turned out to be just perfect.
And then the actual photo session, my Fiancé and I had no previous experience of being shot by photographers, so we had no idea how to pose, where to look at, and stuff like that, so they actually did mock-posing for us, which was awesome. They got the gallery ready for me and my Fiancé like 2 hours after my proposal, and the pictures are great. My Fiancé and I would definitely recommend Lindsay and Greg to our friends or anyone for their proposal or wedding! -

Krista Sent on 02/08/2017I found Lindsay and Greg on Weddingwire and from the moment we met I knew I wanted them to be our wedding photographers. Wedding photos are such intimate and personal memories that will last forever, and I knew I wanted to be comfortable with the people taking these forever memories. Just like a life partner, I believe you should have great chemistry with your photographers, and we definitely hit it off! Lindsay and Greg met with us in person and discussed their style, their finished product, and were so happy for us and in tune with what we wanted I knew they were the right photographers for us.
Lindsay was always prompt in communicating and answered all my silly questions I had leading up to the wedding. On the day of the wedding, Lindsay and Greg showed up early and blended seamlessly into the background so as not to disturb the crazy wedding shenanigans. Later that night of the wedding we received a sweet surprise- they shared one of the photos they captured of me and my new husband via email. I hadn't anticipated seeing anything for months, so being able to see one the same night of the wedding and before anyone else was just another example how Lindsay and Greg are just as excited for your wedding as you.
We received our online photo gallery ahead of schedule and the photos were incredible. They captured all the sweet, beautiful, intimate, and silly candid moments of all our close family and friends and everyone has remarked just how amazing our photos came out. Lindsay also worked with my mom to surprise me with an edited photo of my late father walking down the aisle with me. When it came time to decide on what photos made the cut for the final hard cover album, Lindsay listened and understood exactly what I wanted. They met us over coffee to deliver our amazing album and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined.
From their professionalism and friendly personalities to their beautiful photos and personal touches, I am so beyond happy -
