  Amazing and Delicious!

  Our wedding was in Sonora, CA on 9/9/23. Anyone who was in the area that weekend should vividly remember the very powerful thunderstorm, which was not in the forecast, even the morning of. One of the 1,000+ lightning strikes knocked out all power in the county from before 5pm until 5am the next morning. How in the world did Skye and her staff pull off the service they provided for our 175 guests? There were no tents and the food service was set up outside. There were no lights outside because the generators were being used for DJ and bathrooms. The only lights inside were battery operated uplights rented from the DJ for ambiance or battery operated taper candles in the candelabra on the tables. Our guests were fed absolutely incredible, delicious food and served wine throughout the night. She pulled off a miracle.
  Additionally, we used her in-house baker for our cake. First of all, it was delicious. But then in a crazy coincidence, in order to match the invitations and website, we made the strange request for a kintsugi pattern on in the icing. The baker knocked it out of the park! Hilariously, most of the guests mistook the kintsugi to be lightning which matched the skies that night!
  We also had Skye and her team cater our rehearsal dinner with an incredible paella layout with a carrot cake dessert. It was so delicious!
  If you get married or want to cater a party anywhere in the vicinity of Lila & Sage’s Murphy’s, CA kitchen, don’t even bother to look for any other caterer.

  Food is to die for!

  OMG their food is so delicious!!! We were lucky to have Lila & Sage cater our November wedding and their food did not disappoint. Due to COVID, we worked closely with Skye to ensure how the food was served complied with the COVID guidelines. As an example, instead of a grazing station, Skye recommended that we have cute clear boxes that contained all of the meat and cheese for each guest. We still went with the buffet option, but we had her servers, wearing gloves and masks, serve a portion for each guest instead of each guest touching the utensils. Skye was such a pleasure to work with and we can’t recommend her enough as a caterer. You will NOT be disappointed with her or her food!

  Best food I’ve ever had!

  We had the absolute best experience with catering that you could ever even dream of having. The entire experience was absolutely flawless, from the initial food tasting, to the last minute cake tasting and add-on, to the actual wedding event itself. Skye was wonderful to work with and made sure every single detail was taken care of - she has a gift!! The food was INCREDIBLE! Every single one of our guests kept raving about how delicious the food was, and even weeks later say it was some of the best food they’ve ever tasted, begging for the recipes! My husband and I actually got to eat during our wedding because her staff was so fantastic, too. They made sure we were well taken care of with food and drinks. Appetizers were absolutely delicious at cocktail hour and our guests were eating them up. We opted for family style for dinner and Skye was able to easily accommodate. Our guests really loved the interaction without having to wait in long lines or wait for plates to be individually served. The food was on the tables so quickly, none of our guests had to wait. They also wrapped up cake top for us and organized all leftovers neatly in the reception hall fridge. They really did an incredible job and we would use their services again!

  Amazing catering experience

  Lila & Sage catering company did so much more than supply the food and drinks on our wedding day--Skye the owner, was our day of wedding coordinator. We could not have asked for better service throughout the entire wedding process! Skye is so thorough and efficient. She has many years of experience working weddings and it shows through her detailed work. Her staff is so well trained, hardworking, and professional. The food was DELICIOUS! We went with a traditional Mexican style buffet dinner and we received many compliments from our guests commenting on how amazing the food was! No one left hungry! Skye also took care of all of our appetizers (flat bread pizzas, bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese and spicy deviled eggs!) Skye coordinated the entire dinner, various desserts, and a selection of drinks, for a wedding of 200 people and she did so with ease. Skye even custom made gluten free cupcakes and churro donuts (my special request!) Lila and Sage truly made our wedding day so special, as there were no hiccups what so ever. She even coordinated my rehearsal the night before and had meetings with all my vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page! We could not have asked for anything more out of a catering company! We are so grateful for the awesome service and highly recommend Lila and Sage for any event!!

  Lila & Sage was the first catering company that I reached out to, after meeting with her I was blown away, no need to look any further. I found my cater! As well as providing the food service for my wedding, I also chose to have Skye be the day of event coordinator.
  
  My husband and I went up to the tasting room to pick out our wedding meal and let me tell you, EVERYTHING we tried was amazing!! We settled on the Tuscan chicken, flat iron steak, and salmon. If we could, we would have had everything we tried at our wedding I was in food heaven, seriously....
  HEAVEN!
  
  I contacted Skye at Lila and Sage a few weeks before the wedding about being concerned that things weren't ready to go, Skye totally alleviated any anxiety or concerns - In fact, I started to worry that it was all so easy!!!!!
  
  The day of the staff was unbelievably fantastic!!!!! Honestly, I don't know of too many weddings I have been to where I could recall the food-never mind felt compelled to compliment anyone on it! The presentation rocked as well!
  
  My cake was to die for, truly a work of art. She was even able to make my tacky great white shark cake topper look amazing!
  
  I cannot recommend them highly enough and would totally encourage anyone in need of a catered event to call them with confidence.

They went above and beyond to make our event so special and beautiful. They have an attention to detail that can't be matched. I will definitely be using them again!!

  They did an amazing job at getting us exactly what we wanted. We did cupcakes for our guests and they were amazing! With our cupcakes they included our bride and groom cake at no cost! They did an amazing job, everything was delicious!

  Jeff was great to work with, everything from cupcake tasting to options for a full cake. We had a small cake with a cupcake bar for our guests. They came and set everything up for us on the day of.

  I chose Lila and Sage to make cupcakes and a Mr. & Mrs. cake for my wedding. I had a great time doing a tasting to choose the flavors, they were easy to work with, affordable, and did an overall fantastic job! Guests raved about how great the cupcakes were, and I LOVED how my Mr & Mrs cake turned out!!!

  Karen and Skye did an outstanding job catering our wedding in June. Many guests commented that the food amazing--far better than the "usual wedding food." The cake was absolutely gorgeous, and exactly what I wanted.

  Lila and Sage did an amazing job on our Wedding Cake! We had a certain cake we wanted, we showed them the picture, and the cake turned out the exact way we wanted it. It tasted delicious. My husband and I are very simple, so we did two layers vanilla with fresh cut strawberries and one layer with chocolate with chocolate filling and it was delicious! It was a huge hit at the Wedding. They were very sincere and were able to accommodate our needs very nicely. My husband and I highly recommend Lila and Sage!!! Thank you girls!!! :)

  This vendor was AMAZING! When we had last minute issues with our venue she stepped in and found us another one ASAP, that ended up being even better than our original. Everything we asked for she delivered above and beyond our expectations. She went WAY beyond what we required and made accomodations for our ever changing needs. Our calls were answered promptly, our event ran smoothly and beautifully. Karen is charming, warm and a brilliant caterer and cake artist! We would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone!

We had 150 guests and ordered a 4 tier cake as well as 2 cookies per guest for favors which only costed us $1200! Not to mention our cake's design looked EXACTLY like the photo we have them. I would definitely recommend Lila and Sage to anyone looking for the perfect wedding cake!

  Lila and Sage made the most amazing vegan and vegetarian fare for our perfect wedding. Everyone, even the meat heads, were raving about our food. People still are talking about how delicious everything was. Karen was understanding and incredibly flexible about providing food that represented our dietary restrictions. Our tasting was amazingly delicious and fun. They catered our rehearsal dinner and everyone loved it. Our ONLY complaint, and it's important but not enough to affect our respect and appreciation for her, was that food was not set aside and provided for us. We had apps and small plates at our reception, and we were too swarmed to make it to the tables, so we didn't get to eat anything before everything was devoured. No food was set aside for us, which I feel like should always be a default practice. That's the only fault, hence only one half star was deducted, which still feels a little cold and unfair. They really deserve 5/5. I'll always recommend them. So again, we are so happy we chose Lila and Sage, we were just really bummed that we didn't get to eat at our own wedding. They did such a good job and Karen tells me they have received many inquiries about vegetarian and vegan food for other weddings because of our wedding. We went to a friends wedding that Lila/Sage catered and ate amazing vegan food. The cake that was made was LITERALLY the BEST vegan cake we've ever had. We can't wait to visit the new cupcakery! We want to hire her again and reenact our wedding in the future!

Our tasting was amazingly delicious and fun. They catered our rehearsal dinner and everyone loved it. Our ONLY complaint, and it's important but not enough to affect our respect and appreciation for her, was that food was not set aside and provided for us. We had apps and small plates at our reception, and we were too swarmed to make it to the tables, so we didn't get to eat anything before everything was devoured. No food was set aside for us, which I feel like should always be a default practice. That's the only fault, hence only one half star was deducted, which still feels a little cold and unfair. They really deserve 5/5. I'll always recommend them. So again, we are so happy we chose Lila and Sage, we were just really bummed that we didn't get to eat at our own wedding. They did such a good job and Karen tells me they have received many inquiries about vegetarian and vegan food for other weddings because of our wedding. We went to a friends wedding that Lila/Sage catered and ate amazing vegan food. The cake that was made was LITERALLY the BEST vegan cake we've ever had. We can't wait to visit the new cupcakery! We want to hire her again and reenact our wedding in the future!

  If I could give Skye and her crew at Lila & Sage 6 stars, I would! Lila & Sage catered our wedding at Ironstone and everything was delicious! Also the entire staff was courteous and so incredibly helpful.

  i don't know where the company is heading when Karen finally leaves but I will say this: the food for our wedding was incredible, the staff was REMARKABLE and so nice and we were in very good hands for our wedding! There was some confusion early on because Karen had sold the business and we weren't sure who was going to be in charge but both Karen and Skye came through in the end. We also were new to planning a wedding and sometimes felt disconnected from the coordination side which caused some anxiety. That said, the day of our wedding was PERFECT!!! The staff was so professional, helpful, polite and hard- working. We loved Karen and Skye and Collette and they treated us like royalty. Such great energy and food and I would just say this: trust them because they know what they are doing! We are control freaks and once we let go of control and let them do what they do for a living, they killed it!!!

  Lindsay from Lila & Sage made our wedding cake. It was exactly what we wanted! It was beautiful and delicious! We had a 2 tier with cream cheese frosting all over, 1 tier mocha cake with mocha butter cream filling, the other lemon cake with raspberry filling. Then she made vanilla cupcakes with pink vanilla butter cream frosting. Everything was wonderful!! Lindsay is an amazing baker/ decorator!
  
  My experience with Tanya handling the phones/ emails was pretty bad, it took her forever to get back to me about anything. Overall the cakes are wonderful and I only recommend them because of Lindsay!

  The cupcakes were a bit! Lots of great flavors to choose from. We also looked at Lila & sage for our catering but were turned off by them. We didn't feel like they were really listening to what we wanted.
