Great photography team and amazing photos!
Life Reflecting Images went above and beyond to deliver an incredible wedding album. Mark and his team were attentive, easy going, yet dedicated to delivering an outstanding product despite a rainy Saturday in Loudoun County.
The day began with Mark taking pictures of the bride and bridesmaid getting ready. He went around our house taking detail pictures, and capturing special moments. He thought of things to take pictures of that we would have never guessed. Mark did a wonderful job capturing the joy and excitement of the morning and nailed the Bride’s dress reveal to the bridesmaids and the father of the bride. The pictures were plentiful and really, really good! Meanwhile, the second photographer was hard at work getting set up at the church for the ceremony. Easily putting the groom and the groomsmen at ease the second photographer captures some really cool details of the church, the groom, and the groom's parents. Despite the rain, he was able to work quite the magic with lighting to get some great shots prior to the ceremony.
During the ceremony, the photographers were hardly noticed skillfully making their rounds throughout the church getting details and different angles as well as very special parts of the mass and ceremony. We are very thankful that care was taken during this special part of our day. There were special images that we were hoping that Mark would take and he and his team delivered such as the choir, musicians, the celebrant, readers, and of course friends and family throughout the pews. The photography team was very respectful during the Catholic Mass and our celebrant remarked that this was the best photography team he has ever seen!
Post ceremony was time for the family pictures which unfortunately, went long and did not capture all of the groupings on the groom's side due to time constraints. This was not really Mark’s fault at all but we recommend reducing the number of groupings so that both sides can have equal opportunities for pictures and no “special requests” to subtract time allotted to the other side for portraits.
Next up was the couple portraits along with the wedding party at the venue. It was raining pretty steadily at this point, but Mark and his team delivered yet again! All the pictures were outstanding and we are so happy how they all turned out. They truly made us look so good and we are so pleased with our portrait shots. After this Mark and his team captured some fun moments at the cocktail hour before proceeding to the reception barn. The pictures continue to be numerous and of really high quality. We can tell much time and effort was put in post wedding to make sure they all looked great and edited nicely. Thank you Life Reflecting Images!
We are grateful for Mark and his team for being one of our best vendors on our wedding day that was not without challenges! We 100% recommend Life Reflecting Images for your wedding photography team. Mark was such a great vendor to work with and his true enthusiasm was evident during the wedding day. He was even kind enough to stay for much longer than he was supposed to in order to capture some amazing shots of the party and our private last dance. Thank you Mark! -

If you’re looking for a photographer- stop looking anywhere else- Mark is the one! Our photos turned out even better than imagined. He was able to catch so much emotion in each photo and tell a story with a single picture. I really wanted someone with a more artistic eye and we definitely got it. He was a pleasure to work with, responsive (most of the time kept me on track with planning!), flexible and easy to talk to. We love our photos and will definitely work with Mark in the future! -

We are so happy we chose Mark as our photographer for our wedding day. We were very blessed, fortunate, and privileged to have him as a photographer for our special day. COVID-19 definitely made scheduling difficult, but Mark was very flexible and understanding.
He has great attention to detail, organized, personable, friendly, kind, and a very skilled photographer. He was able to capture every little detail of our wedding even with the challenges that were posed to him. We were running late, and we were all over the place. But, he worked with us, demonstrated a great amount of patience, and managed to distract my worries away by making us laugh endlessly.
He was punctual, and he definitely went above and beyond to make our day the best experience possible. We are mesmerized and love our wedding pictures very much, which we received in a reasonable amount of time. Excellent work, and great quality of pictures was all done at a very reasonable price.
We are endlessly grateful with Mark. If you want all your memories capture with love and amazingly, I would definitely recommend Mark.

Could not have been more pleased with Mark McConnell and his work. Not only was he easy to coordinate with leading up to our wedding, he fit seamlessly into the day, and was a pleasure to work with after the wedding when it came to ordering all of our photos. His soft, warm-hearted demeanor was nicely balanced by his directive guidance throughout the day; a true professional. Was thrilled to be given access to digital copies of all of our photos (not sure this is typical without a large fee) and you can order prints directly from his website (starring/saving favorites and finalizing the order later). We absolutely loved our wedding photos and receive endless compliments. On top of all this, his price was very reasonable. Thank you Mark! -

Outstanding Experience!
We could not have been happier with Mark and the Life Reflecting Images team who we hired to photograph our wedding. They provided us with an exceptional experience as well as so many beautiful pictures.
If you are someone who appreciates a highly responsive and highly organized vendor, Mark is as good as they come. He proactively mapped out the photography schedule for our wedding day, and brought many things to the table that we would not have thought about that added value. He and his crew were on point, very helpful and a pleasure to be around.
He took a wide variety of pictures that captured both staged and candid moments beautifully. We are so thrilled that we went with Life Reflecting Images as they did a wonderful job capturing memories from such an important day in our lives.

Mark and his team at Life Reflecting Images were amazing on our wedding day! Mark especially went above and beyond. He met with my husband a few weeks before our wedding day to plan out where we would be taking our couple portraits. My husband and I were down to try any of Mark's suggestion and his suggestions did not disappoint! Mark and his team also made sure to capture a little bit of everything that day! From getting ready, to wedding party pictures, to the ceremony, to cocktail hour and the reception and everything in between. I can't say it enough how pleased we are with our wedding photographs.
Also, Life Reflecting Images is a one stop shop! They offer packages of just photography or photography and videography. Our package included Mark as our lead photographer, a second photographer, a lighting assistant and a videographer. Videography was important to us because we had some family members not able to attend due to age and health reasons. Mark worked with us ahead of time to make sure his videographer captured all the special moments we wanted. -

Mark was absolutely incredible for my wedding. Every single picture (and there were so many!) were beautiful and captured our day perfectly. He was so kind and understanding, given that we had a lot of last-minute changes that were out of our control. He was patient and fun, always professional, and made me feel completely at home and just went with the flow of whatever we threw at him. I can't rave enough about him – if you need a photographer for anything, he's your man! His team was stellar as well, although as the bride I worked mostly with Mark. The pictures are gorgeous, and I'm so grateful that we got to work with him for our special day. -

In short: I was a bride on a budget so I was searching for someone who could provide a great product at a reasonable price and Mark definitely delivered. Profession, great communication and great end result. I selected Mark out of 7 photographers I researched and spoke to.
(Long version) Here are the reasons I selected him:
1. He has options to meet your needs (we went with 2 photographers and a lighting assistant) - 3 of the other photographers I spoke to worked alone and I was afraid some of the moments wouldn't be captured.
2. He only makes you pay for the things you want. A couple of the photographers included a fancy photo album - I didn't want that and didn't want to pay extra money for something I didn't need.
3. He provides the perfect amount of communication. He responded to emails in very timely manner and sent emails when it was time for me to start thinking about certain aspects of the wedding.
4. He asks for examples of photos you like so he can get a sense of the style you are going for and follows through with recreating those photos.
5. I gave him a list of family members I wanted in various photos. He brought the list and was able to wrangle over 30 people into multiple pictures quickly.
6. Him and his team were ninja's during the ceremony. I HATE when photographers make their presence known during a ceremony. I don't know how Mark and the team got the pictures they did because they were completely out of site
7. The finished product is amazing, he not only captured great staged photos but got some amazing candid photos as well
There are a million other reasons why you should go with Life Reflecting Images... just look at all of the other positive reviews he has gotten on the wedding websites. -

Mark and his team at Life Reflecting Images, were a joy to work with! He was quick in responding to any questions we had and in delivering our photos - both our engagement shoot and our wedding! His prices are VERY reasonable for the area. His initial phone calls were very professional and he wanted to get to know my groom and me, and our personal style. He was very organized through the entire process and the day of. He had everything covered from the day of photo information sheet to the wedding dress hanger for the gown pictures- ALL attention to detail. Mark arrived the morning of and got right to work and never slowed down until the reception ended. Our guests even commented on how professional Mark was and to look to use his services in the future for their own weddings! I felt very comfortable with Mark and our guests loved having him around for photos at the reception. Our wedding day photos are beyond stunning and I will always cherish his photographs. He was always 10 steps ahead of me so I didn't have to worry. His attention to detail, professionalism, and stunning photos are why I would only recommend Mark for your wedding day or special occasion. -

Hena Sent on 07/17/2018Mark is the BEST. I would 100% hire him to be the wedding photographer, if I had to choose again.
I had been looking for a photographer but couldn't find anyone in my budget who had experience at Pakistani weddings. I even recruited my dad to find someone, and he had no luck. A few weeks later, I found Life Reflecting Images Photography through a flyer at a local restaurant near Dulles Town Center. I thought, why not check this out? He has great packages and the experience I was looking for.
Key points:
1) He is professional, prompt, responsive, and agreeable. All the qualities in the making of a perfect event photographer.
2) His packages are reasonable and also much more affordable than many other companies I reached out to.
3) He was very flexible with our event timeline. Pakistani weddings are multiple events over a span of 2-4 days, so I was concerned he would be rigid with what we could do with our package. I was so incredibly impressed and surprised that he was willing to work with me to make the most of our photo/video package with his team.
4) Our photos came out absolutely STUNNING. His editing was tasteful and improved the quality and ambience of the photos ten-fold.
5) We had originally not hired a photographer for our religious ceremony (which was at noon the day of our wedding, with the reception in the evening), because it would have been out of our budget. Now, here is one of the aspects of working with Mark that I am most grateful for: he moved things around in our package so that he would be able to take photos and a short video at our ceremony. This was the single greatest wedding gift I could ever have asked for. He even stayed late at our reception which went over our original planned time. You can't beat that kind of service.
6) Our wedding video is amazing. Everything down to the angles and music choice was perfect. He also used the songs from my original playlist!!
Overall, my husband and I were 100% satisfied -

The day of the wedding I had friends and family around and Mark just rolled with it. He answered our questions and gave us some great pictures and memories! Not to mention Mark is extremely fast in getting your pictures back to you!! Thank you Mark!

My husband and I got married in May 2023 and chose Life Reflecting Images for our wedding photography and videography. Mark and his team were professional, organized, and great to work with! From the very beginning I could tell Mark was experienced in the field, and his style of photography matched what we were looking for. He wonderfully captured the beauty and emotions of our wedding day, and I am very happy with how the pictures and video turned out! He also had a backup plan when hair and makeup took longer than expected: instead of taking wedding party pictures before the ceremony, we just took them during cocktail hour. We appreciated Mark's attention to detail, and had a great experience with Life Reflecting Images!
