My daughter and son-in-law were married in July 2025. We hired Life in Focus to take photos and do a video of the wedding and of the area. Nick, the owner of Life in Focus, was prompt and efficient. He was pleasant to work with. He had ideas of good shots that were meaningful. We ended up with a great selection of photos. My favorite photo is of my daughter and son-in-law embracing with the sunset in that space between their hearts. The video included filming done on land as well as filming done using a drone. Nick divided that video into smaller sections as well as providing the full video. Whether looking at the photos or at the videos, I feel like I am back to that joyful wedding day. I highly recommend Life in Focus. -

Nick and his team went above and beyond for our wedding and engagement shoot. Having worked with Nick on previous events that I have been the wedding coordinator for, when I get engaged I knew that Nick was my go-to guy for photo/video. Nick was super flexible (even with two brides who just wanted to eat and not take any more photos) always responsive and the photos he produced of my wife and I and our families from our micro wedding are fantastic. -

A vendor who truly cares
Me and my partner came to Nick with a truly creative idea, it was different stylistically, and required more thought to execute than the standard wedding video we all know and love. Nick didn’t just encourage our ideas, he went all in and invested in them.
As people who come from the media production sector, more often than not folks like to stick to what they know. Nick embraced our thoughts regardless and delivered beyond our expectations and he didn’t stop until we were absolutely in love with what we saw.
He is not just a vendor. He is a creative collaborator and a partner who understands these videos hold memories of a lifetime. We are so thankful we went with someone as personable as him. In such a saturated market that can make videography unachievable, he is a gem who brings it back to its roots. We are so lucky to have gotten Life in Focus for our wedding, and couldn't be happier with our experience.
One week before our wedding, our planner let us know that a videographer she'd worked with (Nick) happened to have an opening for our wedding date the upcoming weekend. We hadn't initially budgeted for video, but it felt like fate, so we reached out and quickly connected with Nick. His style was similar to what we'd wanted -- cinematic, authentic, not overly edited. He was laidback and friendly and flexible, and we decided to take a chance. We are SO SO glad we did!
Our wedding was on Chebeague Island, Maine -- which is only reachable by boat. Nick and his team worked with us and came earlier than they needed to, capturing amazing drone footage and importantly, footage of our first look, even though we initially said that they didn't need to arrive in time for it. Nick is not only generous with his time, but also brings such clear attention to detail and thoughtfulness to his craft. We just received our final video, and were struck by the way he captured not only us as a couple, but our guests––precious moments that we wouldn't have otherwise seen, including intentional shots of our grandparents, who we know won't be with us forever.
It's almost heartbreaking to imagine that we weren't going to have a videographer document our wedding -- because we can't imagine NOT having Nick and his team part of our special day! We are so glad to have worked with Life in Focus, and know we'll treasure the footage he so carefully captured for decades to come.Life in Focus's reply:

Nick was great - he took a documentary style approach to videography that beautifully captured the spirit of our day, and worked seamlessly with our photographer whom he had never met before. Nick and his team brought our wedding to life EXACTLY how we asked! We couldn't be more excited. We didn't want a super dramatic video and Nick took that want and turned it into a beautiful video we will cherish forever (for anyone questioning hiring a videographer, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND). Nick gave us raw footage of the day too which is super special, to be able to show the behind the scenes to our kids one day. Nick responded to emails quickly and pretty much said "yes" to everything I asked. He made me and my partner feel comfortable in front of the camera which is soo important (let's be real, who is?). He had worked with our photographer before (Natalia Provencher) and the energy they brought to the day matched our energy perfectly.
I cannot recommend Nick enough. He was so great and pleasant to work with. And his work is phenomenal. The variety of video he does is amazing - he accommodates to each person and what they need.

Best photographer/videoagraphy hands down
This was my first time ever working with a photographer and I have to say I was not disappointed. Nick was very professional and kind. The photographer and videoagrapher made everyone feel so comfortable and were amazing to work with. I also appreciated the fact that they did the majority of the poses, but did let me add if I wanted. I would highly recommend. Nick is very knowledgeable and responsive was just a fantastic experience, so much so, that I am hiring them to help shoot my brothers wedding as well!Life in Focus's reply:

Nick and his team were amazing. They were so professional and kind. Making the entire experience smooth and easy! We were on the fence about hiring a videographer until we saw some of Nick's work. I couldn't stop watching his videos, the artistic and theatrical approach, and how succinctly he was able to tell the story of each wedding. Not only did he deliver a timeless masterpiece that we will enjoy looking back at throughout our lives, but him and Hannah were super accommodating, helping us to navigate around a stressful pandemic wedding. I was also thrilled with the DRONE footage that came through. Long after your wedding day, the cake eaten, your guests return to their homes, rental tuxes returned, you'll have a beautifully captured video to remember the best parts of that day. Nick was amazing! I enjoyed his videos online and loved the one he created for us. He was very flexible with a COVID-reschedule and even helped us find someone to video-stream the ceremony to the friends and family who could not b e there. The price was very reasonable. He delivered the teaser almost immediately and the remainder of the video followed on schedule. He even coordinated with our photographer to go into Acadia 'national Park with us to gather video there. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend Nick and Life in Focus!Life in Focus's reply:

Incredible Wedding Video
Nick was an absolute pleasure to work with! He was so responsive while planning our wedding and during the video editing. We could not have asked for better communication. We had to switch our big wedding to a small backyard ceremony due to Covid. Nick help to make our day still feel so special! He captured everything we could have wanted. He also took some incredible drone footage of our ceremony space. It honestly adds so much to the video that we didn’t even know we wanted. We cannot thank Nick enough. I knew that I wanted a wedding videographer but didn't know where to look. After extensive research, I found Nick and Life in Focus. Nick was very responsive to my questions during the vendor search and wedding planning, helped provide feedback and guidance, and helped us plan to ensure that we got video of all of the wedding events. His pricing is fair, and his packages are flexible as well. After seeing our original videos in the package, I wanted to add some additional video options (I wanted everything from our wedding!) and he was able to turn that around quickly!
We had a very complicated wedding logistically, but Nick and his team were great in helping us coordinate everything! He had never filmed our wedding or reception location before, but you would have never known it!
On our wedding day, Nick did an incredible job of navigating trolleys, ferrys, and water taxis to capture priceless footage of our wedding. He was so professional but was almost invisible at times, not disrupting any of the wedding events. At times, I didn't even know he was there until I was viewing the video after the fact.
He was able to turn around our wedding video teaser within 2 weeks, with the rest of our videos shortly after. I seriously can't stop watching them! We were able to see such special moments from our wedding, including our first look vows, Father/Daughter Dance, incredible candids on the dance floor, and some beautiful drone shots of Portland and Peaks Island. It looked like a documentary of the best day of our lives! It looked so much better than I could have ever imaged.I had multiple guests who watched the video comment that it was the best wedding video that they've ever seen!
10/10 would recommend Nick from Life in Focus - you won't be disappointed!

If you're on the fence about getting a wedding videographer, it's absolutely worth the investment! Searching for a wedding videographer can be fun, but look no further, once seeing the work of Nick Easton and his team at "Life in Focus".
Nick was responsive, non-intrusive, and produced a high quality film which included drone shots of our venue, hi-fidelity videos, tailored music and crisp audio which captured our day perfectly.
In closing, Nick's rates were the best in the area.

We had our wedding June 8th and we received our wedding video in less then 2 weeks!!! It’s INCREDIBLE!!! It was beautifully packaged, we can’t stop watching it, it’s like living the whole day all over again. We can’t emphasize how great Nick is, such a young talented gentleman he is the most professional person we had the pleasure to work with, not only did he do an amazing job capturing our wedding day, he responded immediately to all our questions. Our wedding video is so elegantly done and we have had so many compliments on the short Instagram trailer he sent us. Nick seemed to capture every special moment of our day and combine them all into one seamless film. When initially planning our wedding, the videographer was something that I thought we could do without in an effort to cut costs. DO NOT SKIP THE VIDEOGRAPHER. If we hadn't gotten a wedding film I would have seriously regretted it forever, especially after being lucky enough to hire someone as talented as Nick. If you do two things for your wedding they should be 1, hire a videographer, and 2, hire Nick Eaton.Life in Focus's reply:

We decided to hire a videographer very last minute, and thank god we did!! We were in a huge rush, and Nick happened to be available for our date. In talking to him he was extremely kind, down-to-earth, and quick to respond. Nick ended up putting in a ton of time trying to get clearance to fly the drone on our wedding day, which ended up working, and footage ended up being awesome. He is so willing to do anything for a good shot, and that was so appreciated. Our videos are INSANELY PERFECT and I'll seriously cherish them forever. We got our teaser video a week or two after the wedding, which was way quicker than we expected. Nick does such an amazing job telling a story with his editing, you feel like your back on that day when you watch his videos.
As a side note, I was a pretty laid back bride, and Nick's energy was perfect. He is a really sweet, go-with-the-flow kind of person. All day he was quietly running around, and he ended up capturing things I had no idea he was even there for. He is seriously some sort of magician.
