We knew from the start this was where we wanted to have our daughter wedding the venue was perfect.
The property is beautiful but we fell in love with Boulder Ridge on top of the mountain so private and peaceful.
From the night before rehearsal dinner & the day of the wedding it was nice to have everything all in one location our guests had the choice to stay over night accommodations rooms where very nice & clean
Bailey went above and beyond to help with our needs she was a pleasure to work with counting up to the day of the wedding the day of rehearsal & wedding Kathleen was amazing she keep everything in order
The food was delicious and drinks were refreshing after a long day.
The day was so perfect and so beautiful. Thank you Bailey Kathleen & liberty for a beautiful day. -

Amazing venue, start to finish
We got married at Liberty Mountain last October and it was the best decision we've ever made! My husband really wanted an all inclusive venue so we wouldn't have to juggle a bunch of vendors...and I really wanted a venue that gave us the freedom to personalize our wedding. Liberty really was the perfect combination! They took all the logistical stress off us, which allowed us to focus on the little details that were most important to us. Since everything was in one spot, our wedding felt like a weekend getaway for us and our guests. From the setting up, to the rehearsal, to the getting ready, to the wedding, to the after party...we were able to seamlessly bounce around in a way that felt fun and carefree as opposed to strict and regimented. Everyone was friendly and accommodating at all times. Through all the commotion, I must have lost my room key 15 times that weekend...but every time the front desk greeted me with a smile (sometimes a laugh) and asked me if there was anything else they could do to help. Our day of coordinator had a perfect balance of understanding, support, organization, and timeliness. You could tell they genuinely cared about making our day special. They even made sure to pack up a to-go meal for me and my husband that they left in our room that night along with champagne and strawberries. All-in-all Liberty went the extra mile to make our day truly perfect... and it is a weekend that I will never forget. Even a year later, I still get teary eyed when I look back at it. -

We could not have been happier to be married at Highland Lodge on September 28, 2019. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was and our out-of-town guests were grateful for the on-site accommodations. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. It was really nice to have the bridal get-ready room so close to the action - the girls had their hair and makeup done here and could get ready and leave their belongings in the room. We were so thankful for Alyssa Bartlett's hard work and positive attitude as our day-of coordinator. When we had an outside vendor issue on the day of the wedding, Alyssa was calm and collected and helped us resolve the issue. We've already had guests asking how to book their own weddings at Liberty! -

From the moment you walk onto the Liberty property you are surrounded by the most beautiful scenery. The new lodges with stone and wood are breathtaking. I worked directly with Deanna and Mrs. Kessler and I couldn’t have been happier. We had about 150 guests and had our wedding at the new Boulder Ridge Lodge. It was clean, well- staffed and everyone was professional. The day of wedding coordinator Abby— was literally a lifesaver. She had everything taken care of before I could ask. We had a few minor hiccups but Liberty made it more than right and was quick to accommodate us to make sure we were pleased. Liberty is without a doubt the top of the line when it comes to venues for a wedding. I couldn’t recommend them enough and will forever go back yearly to celebrate our perfect day -

Wedding in June at the Pergola
Our daughter got married on June 1 and it was wonderful. The staff was exceptional, the venue warm and welcoming, it couldn't have been better. When our florist forgot to bring rose petals for the flower girl, our coordinator, Alyssa, grabbed the ball and ran with it--got petals from a nearby tree/shrub and no one was the wiser!! Thank you for everything!! -

Our wedding was absolutely gorgeous and perfect! Missy was the best contact person and Abby was an amazing Day of Coordinator. The venue was gorgeous and I didn't have to lift a finger the entire day! They were absolutely fantastic! The food was amazing and they did a phenomenal job with preparing the venue and helping to keep everything moving smoothly whilst keeping the bride (me) from losing it! I would totally get married here every day for the beautiful experience! -

Easiest choice we made was booking Liberty!
We had our wedding at the Overlook Terrace and reception in the nearby lodge and we could not have been more pleased with our choice. Liberty Mountain was the perfect place to hold our fall wedding. Missy Stimer was incredible at getting the process started in the sales office and our day of coordinator Abby Hartnett did a wonderful job making sure our day went smoothly! We had special requests like a custom macaroni and cheese bar and a few guests with dietary restrictions and allergies and Chef Rousey was able to accommodate all of that as well! We got a lot of compliments on the food at the buffet as well as the late night snacks! It was nice having all of those hotel rooms onsite since many of our guests were coming in from out of town. We were told rooms book up VERY fast but had no issue making sure as many guests as possible were able to book a room! -

Amanda Sent on 10/05/2018My fiancé and I got married at highland lodge at LMR 2 weeks ago and had the absolute perfect day. We continue to receive compliments on our day from wedding guests. This venue makes everything flawless for a wedding. We were able to have our rehearsal dinner at Ike's Chophouse right on site and reception at LMR which made things flow very well for our guests and wedding party. Most of our guests stayed over at the hotel, so we were able to flow from the reception, to the after party at the eagle and owl bar right on location at the resort and to bed without having to worry about shuttles or changing locations. The bridal suite they have at highland lodge is incredible and was a great space to get ready day of the wedding. Food was great as well and staff was extremely kind and helpful throughout the weekend. The views at highland are beautiful and we already have awesome pictures from guests, and we haven't even seen our professional pictures yet. If I had my wedding again I would 100 times over pick to have it at Liberty Mountain. -
Bob Sent on 10/23/2017Liberty Mountain Resort is not crystal chandeliers elegance but if you want a homey down to earth venue it's perfect. It's in a beautiful country setting with rustic buildings which are "elegant" once you're inside. Service was outstanding whether hotel staff, wedding coordinators, food and beverage service, and even the golf pro shop. The ceremony took place outdoors with many attendees complimenting how beautiful and unique. The reception was unforgettable - excellent food, vendors who meshed perfectly, highly organized by both Liberty Mountain staff and the DJ all making for a memorable evening, I've attended MANY weddings during my lifetime and this one definitely ranked in the top two or three.

Amy Sent on 05/13/2016Liberty Mountain resort was fantastic in hosting our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception. We used the Alpine Lodge/Pergola and I can't say enough great things about how everything went. I was so relaxed the days leading up to my wedding because everything was taken care of! We met with our day of coordinator, Karen, right before our rehearsal dinner and she assured us everything would be taken care of and go very smoothly. Boy was she right! Karen was nothing short of spectacular and any little thing or problem that popped up was magically taken care of! If you can request your day of coordinator, request Karen! The servers, the bartenders, all of the staff were wonderful! I couldn't have imagined my wedding going any better and I know it's because of the amazing staff at Liberty Mountain Resort! Thank you! -

Samantha Sent on 08/21/2013One of our hardest decisions was the Venue. My husband and I searched high and low, across the state of Maryland, Virginia, DC, and then to PA. We just happened to stumble upon this beautiful resort. I had heard of Liberty Mountain Resort, but only as a golf resort and skiing. Well when I saw what gorgeous of a setting Boulder Ridge Lodge was, I was done!! I cried with tears of joy and remember telling my now husband, this is it!!! Boulder ridge is equally beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. This is Key!! You need to love your venue inside just as much as you love the outside (just in case it rains)!
Kelly Kurtyka is amazing! She was there at the drop of a hat with any and all questions answered! She worked with us to finalize those little details. She wasn't pushy and most considerate of our budgets. She offered lots of suggestions and kept us up to date with any important dates we had coming up.
The day of my wedding was Everything and MORE than my husband and I imagined! Everything went so smoothly. We were allowed to access our venue the evening before to start setting up. Our day of wedding coordinator was incredible. Did anything at the drop of a hat that we needed, no questions asked. She kept us on our schedule as to not lose track of time... that is key Ladies and Gents!!!
The wait staff and bar staff was equally incredible! Courteous and sincere! Nothing but compliments came from my family and guest. I'd also just like to say, that without this incredible team, our wedding day would have never turned out the way it did! We owe an EXTREME amount of credit to them! Your Venue can be incredible setting, but if your staff isn't as equally incredible, that can make or break the venue itself. -

Kathryn Sent on 11/22/2012Liberty Mountain was a fabulous place to have a wedding. I worked directly with Kelly Kurtyka (Senior Sales Associate) and she was very professional, prompt and did everything she could to ensure our special day ran smoothly. If I had a question or concern she was quick to respond. She worked with premier designs for linens (I never dealt with them), and she coordinated everything with our event day coordinator.
The chef was very accommodating to food allergens, During the bridal showcase they had January 2011, he came out onto the floor and spoke with my mother-in-law who suffers from Celiac's. This was wonderful because it put her mind at ease.
The wedding coordinator for the day Karen was excellent. She ensured the day went smooth. We rehearsed everything until everyone was comfortable with how the day was going to run. She was fantastic, high energy and very eager to help with any concerns.
Liberty was a great place to host our wedding. We had our wedding in the Alpine room which was beautiful overlooking the mountain. We had candles in the windows and the ambiance of the room was everything we could have ever imagined. They really helped make the day of our dreams a reality. I would highly recommend this facility and staff (who was awesome) to anyone. It is worth the money! :) -

Tiffany Sent on 07/02/2012We had our ceremony and reception at the Boulder Ridge Lodge at Liberty Mountain Resort. We had an amazing time. Everything was absolutely beautfiul. The weather was perfect....72 degrees, sunny, breezy spring afternoon in June. Kelly helped us prior to the wedding with the coordination. She was very responsive and professional. Mary Ann worked with us during the rehearsal and the day of the wedding, she was a sweetheart and made me feel so comfortable. The venue was perfect. So many of our guest complimented us on how gorgeous our wedding was! It was everything we wanted. We had 50 some rooms booked at the resort. We all went out to the Tavern on the Green both Friday after the rehearsal and Saturday after the wedding. Overall, it was beautiful and the best day of our life! -

The lodge is beautiful, and very romantic for an evening wedding. The only complaint I would have would be that my Husbands food was a bit on the dry side (Pork). Overall, the service was fantastic! :) -

Kelly helped us during the planning process and was always available to answer any questions that we had. On the day of the wedding, we were fortunate enough to have Kathie & Mary Ann taking care of us, and they kept everything running so smooth! I can't think of one thing that went wrong, everything was just perfect - it really was a dream come true! -

Samantha Sent on 07/09/2010I can't tell you how pleased I was with Liberty! Their coordinators were great and fun to work with. They help you every step of the way, offer suggestions and give you advice based on experience. We used the Boulder Ridge venue which was absolutely gorgeous. They have a wonderful outdoor area for your ceremony but a beautiful inside option as well in case the weather is bad which is really convenient. The complete staff the day of the wedding were very efficient and friendly. Everyone raved about the food as well that Liberty provided. Overall the price was more than we originally wanted to spend but the ease of the day, gorgeous atmospere and excellent service was completely worth it. I would absolutely suggest Liberty to any bride! -

Jeffrey Sent on 10/11/2008Liberty gave us the wedding of our dreams on a tight budget. I bake wedding cakes and have been to literally a thousand weddings, and Liberty has some of the best food I have ever eaten. They give you a lot of options to keep the cost down, and the venues/spaces are beautiful. We chose the Boulder Ridge Pavillion, which has wall to cathedral ceiling tongue and groove knotty pine. The landscaping was perfect. You will never know that there were snow skiiers there a month or so prior! The pictures on the website do not do the space justice. You want to talk about customer service? The staff at Liberty will become part of your family. I ended up inviting them to my wedding. They bent over backwards and then some to make us feel welcome and at ease about the whole wedding process. Kelly and Deanna basically walked us through every step of the way (they even brought me gas when I ran out 5 miles from the resort). They helped us create the wedding of our dreams, and became our friends during the process. Put it this way- If I had a million dollars to spend on our wedding, I wouldn't have changed a thing. Liberty made our wedding PERFECT! Don't waste your money anywhere else. Don't waste your time being hassled by companies that nickel and dime you for everything. Don't let someone coordinate your wedding who could care less about what you want. Just call them, you won't believe how amazing they are. Tell them Jeff Hitaffer sends his love! -

The wedding coordinator assigned to me stayed in contact through out the whole process to make sure it was the wedding of our dreams and was there for our special day to make sure everything went perfectly and seamlessly.

Jennifer Sent on 05/24/2011I recently held my ceremony and reception at the Boulder Ridge Lodge on Ski Liberty. We were married on May 7th, 2011, and i was so concerned it would rain on our special day. However, the weather was amazing and perfect, and MaryAnn, our coordinator for the day, was great at keeping us on track. It was nice to have someone there to guide us and go to with any issues. The ceremony site is absolutely gorgeous, and the Boulder Ridge Lodge at night was amazing as well. My photographer was even excited about all the outside shots he was able to get. We also took pictures on the golf course, which was very pretty, and alot of fun to ride in the golf carts! -

We had our wedding here at the Highland Lodge on 11/1/25 and it was perfect. When we started planning in mid 2024 we had a different venue coordinator, but got switched to Sarah in the beginning of 2025 and she was amazing! Kaitlin gave us the original tour and all the information, both stuck with us till the day. Chino was a wonderful addition to the day of group, and greatly helped my husband with his nerves!
The venue is amazing with everything there; lodging on site, restaurant/bar, golf course, pool, huge parking lot! It was amazing having everything in one place. They work well with other vendors and were very flexible and accommodating.
The only problems we had were confusion with the hotel staff (time of check in, reservations for the Highland Lodge/bridal party), and a hiccup with the buffet dinner. Otherwise, everyone was so helpful, staff was great, and we had an amazing wedding. Thank you so so much Liberty!! -

Coming from the DC area, Liberty was very affordable and you are definitely getting a fantastic venue for your money. The food was delicious and still warm by the time it hit tables, and the venue was beautiful. The staff is incredibly nice and willing to help. We loved working with Missy and Adrienne to get our event where we wanted to be! Liberty was the perfect venue for us and we had the best experience with them and definitely recommend them if you are looking for a high-quality, great price, wonderfully staffed venue. -

Annie Sent on 05/21/2008This site was a hidden gem! We came across it at the Baltimore Bridal Expo, where we met > Kelly Kurtyka. She showed me that a ski lodge in the spring could be a beautiful place. All the places in Baltimore that I had to compare this location to were twice as expensive for 1/2 as much. They handled the ceremony, the cocktail hour and the reception, without much for us to do but meet with them a few times. We had a choice for the site for the ceremony and reception and chose their more private location called Boulder Ridge. The weather cooperated perfectly, and we had the most beautiful outdoor ceremony that i could have wanted. There was a gazebo area, and a stone paved area for the seating, so no mud or grass to deal with. They supplied the chairs for the ceremony as well for a small fee. The staff on site handled the entire event with precision and detail, mainly due to the fact that we weren't able to have a rehearsal due to another wedding at the location the night before, we really needed that extra guidance. There was a tiny glitch with the cake and flowers not making it in the right amount of time, so the staff stepped right in an placed my flowers on my cake without a moments hesitation. The service was excellent, professional, and personal. They also catered the event as well, and the food was awesome! We had fillet minion and Crab cakes, that were done 'Maryland style" and being in Pa, they were quite good! They made sure that even though we were running behind schedule that we didn't' feel rushed. My husband and I were still there after the last guest had left and I got to watch their clean up procedures, and I was quite amused how they all worked together with the efficiency of a machine to put away all the tables and chairs. Liberty Mountain made our special day as close to effortless as a wedding can be, and we thank them all so very much!! -

We were lucky to find a venue with such inherent beauty, that we really didn't need to provide a lot of decor. Kelly was great throughout the sales/planning process and was really flexible in providing what we wanted and needed. For the wedding day, things ran very smoothly and were beautiful and the staff made it easy for us to not have to worry about things. It was also great to have everything we needed in one location - hotel, rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony space reception space, catering... You name it. They also coordinated all of our event rentals, making that process much easier to manage. Food & drinks were good and everyone had a great time!
