Les Blachut is a professional and versatile musician and band leader. An accomplished music producer and performer started his carrer in Poland and moved to Boston in 1989 to graduate with honors from Berklee College of Music. Since 1996 a resident of South Florida where he performs, instructs and directs music at St. Jude in Boca Raton, St. Coleman in Pompano Beach and St. Bernard in Sunrise, FL. Les Blachut is known as a keyboard player but he is also proficient on Steelpan, Vibraphone and Marimba. He is a member of many different music groups and also works together with a wedding catering company and a professional videographer. The music instrumentation of Les Blachut is well received for wedding ceremonies as well as coctail hours, rehearsals, and receptions: The duo of vibraphone and violin provides a wedding bells-like sound while the violin brings out the sound of traditional wedding melodies, at the same time Les Blachut can play an electric dulcimer that will produce the steelpan sound of the Caribbean Islands or the marimba sound of Latin America. Les Blachut also plays harmonic steelpan in duet with a melodic steelpan player from Trinidad. As a keyboard player he can play traditional solo organ or accompany a singer on the piano. The favorite of Les Blachut is his Jazz Quartet or Quintet available in different configurations featuring saxophone or trumpet as well as a male or female singer.
