Absolutely amazing

I found the Maggie S. dress of my dreams and didn’t really know what I wanted but I knew the look I was going for. I love the ability to book a personal appointment it was intimate and just the right amount of attention. I’m a very private person and not having to try on dresses in a store full of people was perfect for me.

My dress was very affordable. Came out perfect

Lefty was so helpful and really looked out for me! My dress was originally a halter but my alterations came out perfect. The dress fit me like a glove!

Happy bride

I didn't even look at dressses on my own. The young lady who helped me brought out 4 dresses that she thought would suit me based on one picture I showed her and I absolutely loved them all. It was so hard to choose just one. I would definitely recommend Lefty's to family and friends just because of their expertise.

Made my decision EASY!

When i first visited the shop I did not have a specific style in mind. They took their time to walk me through the different styles and allowed me to try on dresses that best fit my body shape which was so helpful. All of the employees were very responsive and assisted me down to the week of my wedding.

A huge "THANK YOU" to Lefty's Bridal & Boutique! I searched and couldn't find a wedding gown I liked, but a dear friend referred me to Lefty's Bridal & Boutique. Please do not waste your time with David's Bridal! Lefty and her team offer superb customer service, amazing bridal options, and are beyond knowledgeable! I showed Ms. Lefty an idea of a dress I saw online. I wasn't certain that it was the direction I wanted to go with. She pulled three dresses for me. The very first dress was the one!! Her daughter Tai'Lahni was my bridal consultant and she knew exactly to add to the dress to take it over the top! I've had terrible experiences at the David's Bridal in Bowie, MD. Save your self a bad attitude and go to Lefty's!

Lefty and her family stepped right in and help me out from day one. From my dress to my braidesmaids and even my mother dress. I would recommend them to everyone. For me they was like a one stop shop I got everything but my shoes from them.

Outstanding from beginning until the end. Lefty's daughter grasped my attention when she looked at me and told me my size. Then she took out three dresses, well after trying on one the last dress my grandmother and mother chose for me. It was amazing. The dress is classic, elegant and vintage. Now that I am a week away from my wedding which is on September 24, 2016 I cannot wait until I can put it on. Thank you again.

I went to Lefty's bridal on a Saturday afternoon after visiting David's Bridal. We didn't have an appointment but they attended to me and my guests immediately. We told her the price range we wanted to stay within, and she brought a few dresses in that range (at David's, they went quite a bit over the range I'd given). We ended up buying the wedding dress there. We had gone there looking for Alfred Angelo gowns, but the dress I bought was one of her creations, and I got sooooooo many compliments on it on my wedding day. They were also very helpful in helping us go through some bridesmaids dresses, but alas, we weren't ready at that time or we would have purchased those as well.

I would highly recommend Lefty's Bridal to any bride. :-)

Leftys Bridal was fabulous. She and her staff were very professional and a pleasure to work with. My dress arrived before it was due. I purchased my head piece and foot jewelry there as well. My dress was the talk of the wedding. I got married in Jamaica and it was the perfect dress.

Lefty and her consultants provided EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! She was very prompt returning my many calls and she took time with helping me find my PERFECT WEDDING GOWN by Maggie Sottero. They all were very patient with me from the very first time I visited the store, and even when my gown came in. Lefty understood my vision of how I want my wedding day to be. My daughter and I came across this Boutique looking for shoes & jewelry the day before the wedding. Although, my daughter had her dress, she had not selected any jewelry for herself or the bridesmaids. We found a diamond in the rough at Lefty's Bridal & Boutique!! The selection of jewelry was outstanding, Ms Lefty had the order sent overnight and the final product was so beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes when I picked them up the next day.

The selection of one-of-a-kind design dresses were also beautiful and I would recommend Ms Lefty's Boutique to anyone needing a dress or jewelry for any occasion....she does fabulous work and was a pleasure to work with!!

Lefty's Bridal helped me get the perfect dress and perfect accents (Tiara, jewelry, candles, etc.) for my wedding ten years ago. Over the years, I have referred other clients and they have been just as impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail that has been provided. As a family-run business, Lefty's provides an atmosphere of warmth and care. The owners truly take pride in their work. If what you want is not in the store, Lefty's will do its best to get it for you, at a better price, and make your day truly special. Lefty does not forget her customers and she designs fabulous original wedding dresses as well.

Lefty and her staff have over 20 years of experiece in wedding gowns and formal attire. Lefty is a seamstress as well as her husband, whom most people affectionately call "Mr. Lefty"...lol. They are an excellent team. You will be pleased the minute you walk into the boutique. They take the time to understand your style and they show you dresses and accessories to to compliment your style. Lefty is great at cordinating accessories and provideing her expertise. I love this boutique! Its is always neat, clean and welcoming. I would recommend anyone looking for bridal gowns, bridesmaids dresses, prom dresses or any other formal attire to stop by and check lefty out. Prices are slightly high however you get super quality service, a quality product and the expereince of a seamstress who knows what she is doing. You definitely pay for the quality service that you get!

Lefty actually picked out my dress...she asked me to try lace (which I don't like)...I put the dress on, and was in tears! She knows her stuff! She has a dress for every budget and she is great to work with

This is a kind of different review but one that is surely worth mention. In the times we live in "customer service" has almost become invisible. I am still floating because I called Lefty's for bridal inqueries and never have I spoken to a more gracious, professional, patient and "after my own heart" individual in my life and I know customer service protocol because I am an HR Director.

I spoke to Lefty's assistant and am certain she represents the demeanor and pristine manners of Lefty. I have become Lefty's ambassador for where brides, prom, cotillion ladies and all ladies in-between should go for high quality, impeccable service. If an organization can take care of you via phone, just imagine what it is going to be like when I actually walk through the doors of Lefty's Bridal Boutique. Thanks guys for embodying the kind of customer care every customer should experience over and over again.

Lefty's Bridal (Lefty) was able to pull selective gowns that I did not think I could wear (I am a slightly plus size bride). But she was able to put me in a BEAUTIFUL "Blue Austin". It was diamond white (soft ivory) and it gathered below the hip. I tell you what, if it were not for Lefty's craft at seeing/knowing what would look good on me, I would have been stuck with a David's Bridal gown (which I tried on first). David Bridal gown made me look FAT. However, Lefty's gown made me look absolutely gorgeous. All I can say is THANK YOU, LEFTY FOR LOOKING OUT FOR ME AND MAKING THIS DAY SO SPECIAL! I stopped in at Lefty's Bridal on Saturday to look at their selection of bridesmaids dresses. They had a large assortment of dresses to look through with different prices points. Denise, a staff member at Lefty’s, encouraged me to also look for a dress for myself. I told Denise my price range, what type of dress I was looking for (and not looking for). The dress that Denise found for me was absolutely gorgeous and BELOW my budget. I didn’t want to purchase the dress without my mother seeing me in it and the staff was patient and understanding. My mother ended up being able to come to see me in the dress and veil and I made my purchase!

I so very appreciated the spirit, patience, and professionalism exemplified by Mr. & Mrs. Lefty, Denise (Saturday was her first day!), and even the gentleman working on the website. The boutique is lovely, the layout is inviting, and you get personalized attention.

I really wanted to support a small business in the community so I’m happy that I was able to make a purchase from Lefty’s as opposed to a bigger named bridal shop. I highly recommend Lefty’s Bridal to any bride that is looking for a beautiful dress and outstanding customer service!

I brought my bridal gown from Lefty's. WhenI first met Lefty, she and her husband were working from the addition that was built onto their home in Forestville, MD. I came to try on dresses during a weekday, so I received undivided attention. However, when my bridal party came back to the shop on a Saturday to find their bridal gowns, the shop was so busy, we didnt even have a place to sit. But by the time I came for my 2nd fitting, the shop had expanded to Capital Blvd in Largo, MD which was a bigger and much needed space. I built a personal relationship with Lefty as if we had known one another for years. I trusted her judgement on my dress and veil choices and I have to say that I looked magnificent on my day. I ended up buying a Sottero and Midgley dress and I priced the dress $400 cheaper at Lefty's than at other bridal stores that I had called. Lefty's Bridal shop is the only shop that I went to for my wedding dress because I had about 15 dresses that I found online and so I called about 50 different shops within 50 miles of my home to inquire whether they had any of the dresses in their showrooms to try on and Lefty's was 1 out of 2 shops that actually looked up the information for me. The other shops were too busy pressing me to make an appointment. I spoke to Lefty's mom when I finally made my appointment and she said "I promise you that once you come to Lefty's Bridal, you will never want to go to another Bridal shop." lol But she was right! The atmosphere was so comfortable and I enjoyed the experience.

The only issue that I had was my bustle broke within 30 minutes of the reception starting, which was an irritatant for me while I danced. But regardless of that, I would still recommend Lefty's Bridal to anyone, especially brides on a budget because she does not overcharge for her dresses like some bridal shops do.

the service here is excellent. the family is so loving and down to earth. the prices that lefty gives you on a dress is so much more affordable than every other store in the dmv area that i visited. she wasnt just another shop trying to make a sale, she really cared about how i looked and felt in a dress. i would never recommend any other place but leftys bridal! and to the review that said she cancelled your appointment because of her daughters graduation....well of course she did it was her daughters graduation!!! you wouldnt have cancelled for your daughters graduation? if not that just shows your bad character not hers. also to the review about them not shipping the bridesmaid dress lol why would they? if it had gotten lost then you would have wanted to ring leftys neck right? so pick up your on bridemaids dresses and ship them yourself. sorry if i seem angry but i know how awesome leftys bridal really is. i love leftys!

I stumbled into Lefty's almost by accident. I needed a backup wedding dress because it seemed like my original dress might not come in on time. I found a suitable backup and checked the store locator and they had Lefty's as a place you could buy the designer's dresses.

The day I went in there, Lefty was there with her husband and daughter. They are the nicest people, the kind you just want to be friends with. They can get you almost any dress at a better price than you would find at other bridal salons and they can do it without the madness you find at the other salons as well. She is so knowledgable and has such a calmness about her, and a way that makes you feel totally at ease. She can get your dress for you on time, she can do the alterations herself and the prices are unbeatable. There is no B.S. here like at other bridal salons, they are genuine, honest people. I wouldn't bother going anywhere else.

I had seen the dress I wanted online. I went to a bridal shop that was said to have had the dress. They did not. I would have to order it first. That was not going to happen. So I flipped through the Mary's catalogue where I saw the dress for me. They didn't have this dress in the store either. I went online for bridal shops that carried Mary's dresses in the store. I called Lefty's and they actually had the dress in the store. I loved it and they ordered it for me!!! I loved the fact that they will not just put you in any dress just to make a sale. They actually try different styles to ensure you the best look ever! Lefty and Tai-Rhan work excellently together and I thank them for their great service and dedication for making everyone the queen of their day. My bridal party dresses also were purchased from Lefty's. I highly recommend them to everyone!!

Lefty's is a one stop show for everything you would need for a wedding, prom or just a evening event. They are very professional and the prices are reasonable. Lefty and her staff are great. She took the time to select several different styles for me to try on until I found the best one. Unlike other bridal shops her main concern is ensuring you look your best. She will be truthful, in a kind way, if a certain style is more flattering. I should also mention she is not concerned with trying to overcharge her clients. She could have told me my dress needed minor alterations or extra length to make more money, instead she was truthful in letting me know that no changes were needed. I purchased my gown and bridesmaids dresses from Lefty; all were absolutely beautiful.

I found Lefty a joy to work with. She listened, worked hard to stay within my stated budget, was encouraging, and offered excellent advice. I only rated responsiveness at a 4.5 because due to the popularity of the shop, it's been difficult for me to get someone to answer the phone during core business hours however, they do call back within a timely fashion! And value, well anyone getting married knows that everything with a "wedding," title attached is hiked up in cost, who knows what the true value of wedding items are anymore. I can say that I am over-and-abundantly pleased with the gown, tiara, and veil that I purchased from Lefty and as mentioned before she remained respectful of and within my stated budget without ado! She is beautiful, a talented seamstress herself, the selection is awesome and is from all over the world, she offers every single thing you might need to go with your special day and if she doesn't do it herself she has a network of people that has had good experiences with and whom she trusts to refer you to- but don't listen to me! Go and see for yourself!

Lefty at Lefty's Bridal treated me so kindly. We were able to find my wedding dress at her shop for half of what it was offered elsewhere. She fitted me for the gown perfectly and was very easy to work with. I highly recommend her!

Brides if you are looking for the perfect dress, like no one elses and at a reasonable price Lefty's Bridal & Boutique is the place you should go. I found all my bridal needs at Lefty's there were sooo many dresses to choose from Lefty made it easy for me to make a decision. With her expertise and designer skills we were able to pick out the perfect dress for me. My dress was so granded, on my wedding day my husband and guests were in "AWA" as to how I beautiful I looked, I got married on a ship, the entire ship knew who I was because of how beautiful and gorgeous I looked in my wedding dress. Lefty thank you so much for making my wedding day a dream come true.

I ordered my dress in February for my September 2014 wedding. I was worried it might not get here early enough but it came sooner than I expected. Now to a bride that's awesome. Ms Barbara was really nice and even helped me choose my veil. I will definitely recommend this shop.

Lefty did my wedding 8 years ago and I am still giving her name out to couples for their wedding day. Very impressed and still by the way they do business. I will always get my formal attire from this business good luck in all of your up coming events

I call Lefties Bridal Boutique the lil shop on the corner :), I loved going there. My over all experience with Lefties team was almost always great. They were attentive, patient, respectful and almost always available. I appreciated everything that her team did for me as my weight fluctuated she was so accommodating to me throughout this process....as I lost the weight and my gown got bigger and bigger lefty had a solution because trust me as small and intimate as their boutique is she has a wide variety of dresses ranging from size and body type.
Thank You for all you did to make my process easier my day went well..he bustles didn't hold but we tied the train up some how :) thank you!!!!

My wedding dress from Lefty's was absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere every time I visited the shop. I would make sure to make an appointment because it is a pretty busy place.

I walked into Lefty's Bridal over a year ago after learning about them a Washington, DC Bridal expo. I was a nervous wreck. I was terrified. I was super stressed from being in my final semester of my Master's degree, I had no real idea what type of dress I wanted, and I had gained about 35 pounds over the last year so I was very body conscious. Lefty's crew helped soothe every issue and solve every problem.

My first fitting was with a wonderful consultant named Denise. She listed to all the feedback from my entourage but honed in what I wanted, even if I was indecisive. Denise's patience paid off because I found my dress in the first fitting! This beautiful a-line, sparkly gown not only wowed my group, the selection of the dress was like I was living a moment from Say Yes to the Dress. My mother began to tear up, then me, then the rest of my crew...then the WHOLE STORE!

Since then, I completed my degree, got a new job and lost weight. Over the course of the year, my appointments seemed to coincide with these milestones. Every time I would come to Lefty's, she always had encouraging words for me. She treated me and my mother like family. Not only did I rely on her expertise, my mother selected her dress here as well. No big chain store could have paid attention to the smallest details like Lefty's.

No only did she do a fantastic job of altering my dress, but she did it quickly! She took my new measurements (since I lost 25 pounds) in my wedding dress January 4, 2014...my dress was ready for me to try on January 15, 2014! And that's not all, my mother's dress needed an alteration and she personally put in a rush order to make sure that both dresses were ready that same week.

Lefty literally held my hand through this whole process. I went from being unsure of selecting a dress to being completely confident in the services I received for my special day. Thank you to Lefty and all her staff! You all are awesome!

Lefty is awesome. My gown was beautiful!! But the cost kept adding up, everytime I went to the store it seemed to be an additional cost. Other then that. I received many compliments, my dress stayed together for the most part (small buttons to hold up train did not keep it up. most of the wedding I dragged the dress)

Lefty's Bridal was very helpful. There are a lot of bridal shops that are out there trying to rob brides simply because they believe you are willing to pay top dollar for a wedding dress. Lefty was not like that at all. Actually she helped me to find a dress that I saw in a previous bridal boutique for $2500 for only $850.00. If you are looking for a honest professional than you need not look any further.

Lefty's offers quality wedding gowns at affordable prices. The shop is located in her house but don't let that fool you. It is immaculate and very professionally laid out. She specializes in fitting those with challenges (plus sized) and is very sensitive to all of your issues. She also offers fabulous accessories and bridesmaid gowns.
The only things that caused me to rate this shop lower were (1) that it is sometimes difficult to coordinate appointments and (2) more importantly, the shop refused to ship my bridesmaids dresses to my out of town bridesmaids as promised. I specifically noted that at least 1/2 of my bridesmaids were out of town and was reassured that it wouldn't pose an issue because the shop would take credit card info via the phone including the shipping cost. However, 30 days prior to my wedding, they changed their policy and required me to pick up the remaining 2 dresses and figure out how to ship them myself. Moreover, the shop never informed me of this new policy. They simply called my bridesmaids to tell me to come get the dress and get it to them. To me, that is simply unacceptable and unprofessional, especially 30 days out from the wedding. They should have made an exception for the last 2 dresses and not have just took the money and blow us off after convincing me to have all 7 bridesmaids pay for their dresses through them.

Otherwise, I was very pleased with my dress selection and quality.
