  Laurel photographed our engagement last year, and our wedding this July, and she did an absolutely wonderful job with both. She did a great job of adapting to each situation-- she was incredibly fun to adventure with to our engagement shoot, she did a great job of keeping us on schedule during the family photos, and then she blended into the background during the reception so we could focus on our guests. She's also so friendly and fun to work with-- we had a ton of fun with her throughout the planning process.

  Laurel photographed our engagement last year, and our wedding this July, and she did an absolutely wonderful job with both.   Laurel is a fantastic photographer and all-around awesome human being. We're so happy we chose her for our engagement and wedding photos. She strikes the perfect balance of fun, quirkiness, professionalism, kindness, and efficiency. She rallies groups with ease. She creates a comfortable atmosphere in your most intimate moments. And she makes planning a breeze. Fun fact, she even hiked down to the beach at Discovery Park in a foot cast/boot to take our engagement photos... that's commitment to a job well done! :)

  Laurel is the BEST!!! If I could give 10 stars I would. Laurel shot my sister's engagement, wedding and family photos and she shot my engagement and wedding as well. Laurel's photos are truly works of art and I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my once in a lifetime memories.

  I absolutely loved working with Laurel. My husband and I aren't super comfortable in front of a camera but she is so fun and talkative that she got us laughing and feeling more comfortable. Our engagement photos were better than I could have dreamed of. Can't wait for my wedding day photos because I know they will be AMAZING!

  Feel and look your best through Laurel's lens!!!

  Laurel photographed approx. 50 business professionals at a Professional event. She effortlessly dealt with and made every person feel comfortable and look natural. All the photos reflected each individuals unique personality. The frosting on the cake is that Laurel is such a lovely and easy person to work with! Can't recommend highly enough!!

  Laurel is absolutely amazing. Her work is breathtaking and I absolutely love her photojournalist style. I knew I wanted to book her as our photographer even before we were officially engaged. I saw her work on numerous wedding blogs and websites and I just had to hire her! She has such a great eye and she really captures the moment perfectly.   Where to begin? I first typed my review, and it was too long! Here is my attempt to shorten in. Laurel is fabulous. That might be all you really need to know. If you are anything like me, you are looking at all sorts of websites and blogs because you are trying to find out enough information as possible about your potential list of photographers. I did the same thing. What really 'sold' us on Laurel, was her work and her personality. My fiancé was not exactly thrilled about spending any money on photography. Then as I started showing him pictures and difference among photographers, he started to understand why a good photographer is so important. They capture your special day-snapshots in time of the moments you'll want to remember forever. We wanted someone who wouldn't just stand us in lines and snap photos, but rather someone who would capture the spirit of the day and the emotions everyone felt. Laurel did just that. After our first meeting with her, my now husband was sold. I asked if he wanted to meet some of the other photographers I had found, and he said "no, she's the one." Boy did we choose right. Laurel made the entire process from start to finish as easy and stress-free as possible. She has this amazing ability to give you direction in such a carefree way, you don't feel like she's bossing you around (which she kind of is). I could go on and on about Laurel. As you look at all her photos though and hear from other people, you see a pattern: a genuinely kind, fun-loving and passionate person that makes lasting connections with her clients. After you snag her as your photographer, you too will start planning out all the future events she could capture on film for you, just so you can hang out with her again. She's that amazing. Oh and her photographs aren't so bad either!

  We've worked with Laurel for going on almost 10 years and I cannot put into words how amazing she is. She truly has been along our journey from newlyweds, to parents, to destination weddings, and family photo sessions.
  
  To say the least, we have a logged a lot of time with Laurel and have learned her style and techniques over the years. She continues to out perform herself and we always look forward to see her work.
  
  If you are looking for a true artist to capture your moments - please book Laurel, you won't regret it.

  We happened to see her work online as we searched for a wedding photographer in 2010 (she shot a wedding at our venue, Georgetown Ballroom) and her work was absolutely stunning.
  
  Her style is all her own: colorful, creative, but most importantly fun. When we saw her work we knew we needed her to capture our important day.
  
  Fast forward 8 years:
  Laurel has captured the following for us: engagement shoot, wedding, 1st year photos for each of our children (bump, newborn, 6 months, 1yr), my brother's destination wedding, and most recently a family photoshoot.
  
  Our most favorite thing about Laurel is that she keeps the atmosphere comfortable, which allows us to be ourselves (she's great with kids!). She's always ready to get silly, use props, and try new things all along the way.
  
  It's incredible the way she is able to capture the essence of the event, each person's character, and inject her own style through color and perspective.
  
  Photos of your special day - or of your most favorite people - will last a lifetime and there is NO ONE more qualified than Laurel. She will take your photos to the next level.
