We picked Lansdowne Resort as we wanted a "one stop shop" for our wedding. Lansdowne was easy to work with throughout the process. We loved all aspects - the setting, catering, staff and atmosphere. It was beautiful for our April wedding and although it rained the day of our wedding, our indoor ceremony went as smooth as possible and was just as pretty! We would recommend Lansdowne to anyone looking for a venue to have everything in the same place.

We’re so happy we chose Lansdowne as the venue for our wedding. We planned for up to 200 guests and Lansdowne was able to accommodate with no problem. Our venue was the clubhouse ballroom and it was beautiful. Special thanks go to Laura Angelucci, our event coordinator, who was always quick to answer our questions, respond to our emails, and make everything run as smoothly and easily as possible. The food at Lansdowne was great, the scenery was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful, and all of our guests had a great time.

When we embarked on the planning for our clients wedding we had no idea we would choose a venue that not only served as the perfect getaway for their family and friends but one that put so much care into the execution for our clients perfect day. We initially planned for an April 2021 wedding but had to quickly pivot because of the pandemic and concern for the safety of their guests. Lansdowne allowed a seamless process of choosing another date. When we landed on that date (the day before the brides’ birthday) we knew it would be a memorable experience for all. Emily Hutton and Christina Cicippio went above and beyond and created a seemingly flawless special celebration for all. Emily was prompt in responding to calls and/or emails during the planning process. Even little unforeseen issues on the wedding weekend itself were dealt with swiftly and professionally. During the ceremony showers of blessings started to come down and Emily swiftly grabbed umbrellas for the guest.
All other staff were professional and handled all our requests with care and a smile. The ambiance, the amenities, the spotless rooms, the delicious food and the beautiful grounds, terraces, and ceremony space all contributed to creating a wonderful experience for our guests. Love is in the details and we are glad that we entrusted Lansdowne resort with the details of this wedding. We highly recommend Lansdowne as a wedding venue. Thank you, Lansdowne, for a magical weekend!

We used Lansdowne Resort and Spa for wedding accommodations and it was perfect! The team was super responsive and very helpful throughout the planning process and I couldn't recommend them enough. While we had some mishaps with our room block, the Lansdowne team did their best to assist us with the situation and provided us a few options that we could consider. Come the day of, we have no regrets on choosing this beautiful hotel for us and our wedding guests. The Lansdowne team even surprised us with some champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, which we were pleasantly surprised by upon returning to our room the night of our wedding. Everything came together great and I'd definitely recommend checking them out!

If you want a professional and caring team to work with, Lansdowne Resort is the place. My wife and I worked with Monique and Leslie, and both were fantastic. They were flexible on pretty much everything. We made several changes during the wedding planning process, and they were very accommodating every time. Both were professional, polite, quick to reply, caring (very), and responsible. Even when we had incidents on the day of the wedding, they did not panic and helped us solve the problems. They both worked over time on the wedding day, which they didn't seem to mind at all. Huge thanks for both Monique and Leslie! Besides the team, Lansdowne Resort's food, view, customer services, etc everything is great. We did not have a singe employee that was not willing to help us. It was very clear that they (everyone at Lansdowne) understood how much this day meant to us. 100% recommend. Lansdowne Resort does have a separate company that is in charge of sound system, and the price they offer can be questionable imo, so please keep that in mind.

I love visiting the Lansdown resort, it’s close by and has everything you would need for a getaway. Spa, pool, gym, and food.

Monique Kirkland made our experience fantastic from the tasting to the actual event. She helped us with the Linens and was just always so responsive and personable regardless of what questions we had. She was also there at the actual even to make sure everything happened in the order that we had planned it. We had an unforgettable wedding celebration and would recommend this as venue to anybody. Food was also just as good as we had expected from the tasting so kudos to the chef as well and the servers and bar tender where all great.

We chose Lansdowne as our center point for all of our guest accommodations as well as our 75 person rehearsal dinner (that was like a mini-wedding). We experienced the best of everything that Lansdowne has to offer! We had an exceptional spa and golfing experience. We LOVED Coton and Rye and utilized the bar all three nights we were there including an incredible after party! We had 80 rooms and three suites and they were all exceptional. From the views, to housekeeping, to the front desk to the bellman and every single person we interacted with we had the best experience. The rehearsal dinner with a great bar and exceptional food was a highlight of the weekend. The service was outstanding and they cared for every need. Golf, the pro shop and the restaurant off the bar - just were terrific. The catering/banquet team accommodated every need we had and we figured out things when we made a few odd requests. We can't say enough positive things about our entire three day experience at Lansdowne, except we are sorry it is over! We will look forward to just experiencing the resort on weekends in the future because it just an exceptional place to be! We did not do our wedding here, but it was somewhere we were considering and everything else we did here made it a perfect wedding weekend! Thanks to the Lansdowne team for being exceptional in every facet of the resort. Take the spin class -we had a blast with 12 of us in the class!

We have been impressed with the service so far at Lansdowne( they have been very responsive and accommodating. We look forward to having our wedding there!

Our daughter's wedding was on October 27 at the Lansdowne Resort & Spa in Leesburg, Va. We are from Austin, TX. Doing a wedding period is intense, but doing a destination wedding adds a different level of stress. Grayson from Lansdowne took away all of that stress. She made this entire experience effortless for all of us. Every question, request, concern was addressed immediately. When we had to change from the terrace to the indoor rain plain on the day of the wedding, there was no issue. It was as if it was always planned to be inside! We had a "Bubbly Welcome" for all of our family and friends from out of town the night before! Most of our away guests stayed at the Lansdowne. They all loved the relaxing and welcoming presence of the resort! It was just so easy and so beautiful! My daughter has extreme gluten issues. The chef made sure that her food restrictions were met, including the GF smores at the Welcome Party and the GF Maryland crabcakes, cupcakes and the cake topper at the wedding. The entire experience at Lansdowne under Grayson's guidance was truly extraordinary! The kids wedding dreams were far exceeded! And, mine as the Mother of the Bride and a former event planner were exceeded as well! We would highly recommend the Lansdowne Resort and Spa to anyone considering a wedding destination!

The experience of the recent wedding with our family was amazing! Grayson’s expertise is truly as asset to the Landsdowne Resort. Her attention to details was extremely helpful,, which made the process of easier, Grayson also went to great lengths to ensure the bride and groom had everything they wanted.
Hugo a banquet manager at the Resort is also a valuable staff member. His ability to assist the needs of guests with ease is truly a gift,

I’m not typically one to write reviews, BUT, I couldn’t go without praising and thanking Greyson and Lansdowne Resort & Spa for making my wedding amazing. Greyson was an absolute joy to work with every step of the way, and I wish we could’ve worked together longer. She was very attentive, and prompt in her communication, and in lulls where my husband and I weren’t in need of anything / in contact she always checked in. Greyson was always high energy and extremely personable. She made sure my vision, and all the details of my special day came to life. Anytime we encountered small hiccups, she ensured they were rectified and/or compensated. I’m glad I got to hang with Greyson before walking down the aisle because she made sure I didn’t have any waldrobe malfunctions and completely calmed my nerves. Greyson is an asset to Lansdowne, which is a gem in and of itself. The venue is beautiful, the staff is pleasant, and everyone was so accommodating to the needs of myself, the wedding party, and guests. I highly recommend!

Our son and daughter-in-law used Lansdowne Resort and Spa for their rehearsal dinner, welcome reception, and day after brunch, in addition to booking a big block of rooms there. We worked with Grayson, who is absolutely amazing! She was accommodating in every way and is such a kind and knowledgeable person to have as our contact. She was always prompt in responding to calls and/or emails. She worked with us to solve any requests we made, always with a smile. Lansdowne is very lucky to have Grayson.
The resort is beautiful, very clean, and the rooms and food are wonderful. All of the staff that we encountered during the five days we stayed there were excellent. Thank you Lansdowne Resort and Spa!

Working with Mandy was beyond amazing! She was so helpful, the most responsive out of everyone I worked with and very calming during this stressful process. If it wasn’t for her, I would’ve been very stressed but I knew she had everything under control! The Lansdowne staff was very nice and helpful during our stay there and during our wedding! If you don’t like the look of a ballroom, spend the extra money on white drapes because it makes a huge difference! My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Mandy and the Lansdowne staff! We cannot wait to go back in a year for our anniversary!

Perfect location for us to get married as we had a lot of folks coming in from out of town since Dulles is relatively close by. Worked with Grayson who is an absolute gem. Always professional and timely. Leading up to the event she was always accessible and made the experience about as stress free as we could have hoped for. Lansdowne is very lucky to have her.

As the mother of the bride, I cannot begin to describe how magical my daughter's destination wedding weekend was at the Lansdowne Resort and Spa. Every member of the staff was outstanding with their friendly professionalism - from the doormen, to Tamara at the front desk, to spa and restaurant personnel, to Tori in the golf office, to Hugo and his banquet team, and especially our event manager, Leslie, who went above and beyond every expectation.

Leslie was over-the-top helpful with all the little details that make a wedding for 270 out-of-town guests seem effortless. With all the "moving pieces" of organizing a destination wedding weekend (setting up the room block for all our guests, Friday golf outing, Saturday ceremony, reception, and after party, and Sunday breakfast), Leslie and the Lansdowne team created a seemingly flawless special celebration for all. Even little unforeseen issues on the wedding weekend itself were dealt with swiftly and professionally.

The ambiance, the amenities, the spotless rooms, the delicious food (both in the restaurants and for the reception, after party, and breakfast), the golf, and the beautiful grounds, terraces, and ceremony space all contributed to creating a wonderful experience for our guests. I had tears in my eyes when it was time to check out because I didn't want the magic to end. Thank you Lansdowne for helping to create that magic!

My husband and I got married at Lansdowne on November 11, 2017. Our coordinator was Leslie Eyster and she was phenomenal! Leslie made herself available and was super accommodating during such a crazy time. We had a lot of DIY decorations (including two 6ft faux trees for the ceremony) and Leslie stored every knick knack in her office and helped set everything up on the wedding day.

The venue was absolutely beautiful. We booked the Clubhouse Ballroom, which has an outside terrace; guests really enjoyed having drinks out there and taking in the view. Hugo was a great help during the reception. He made sure every detail was taken care of; brought my husband and me food and drinks, re-lit all candles that had blown out, packaged all of our DIY décor for us.

I cannot thank Leslie, Hugo and the Lansdowne team enough for a flawless day!

We got married at Lansdowne Resort on October 6, 2017. I could not have imagined the day to turn out any better! The venue is beautiful, the rooms are very nice, and the food was AMAZING. The staff was so accommodating and made us feel so special. Leslie was a joy to work with while planning, and Hugo and the staff made the reception stress free and so fun! If I had to do it all over again, I would not change a single thing!

Can't say enough about our wedding at Lansdowne on Sept 9, 2017 - it could not have been more perfect! We worked with Leslie Eyster and her team (Grayson and Abbey). We picked Lansdowne b/c it's a beautiful location which makes for beautiful pictures, it is close to home, and w/ the hotel right there (and several others w/in a short driving distance), we didn't have to worry too much about our guests drinking and driving (which is why we choose not to do it at a winery). We did the ceremony in the pavilion and we were able to decorate it according to my vision - it was perfect! Cocktails were on the Waterfall Terrace, and reception in the Terrace Ballroom. Even though there were 5 other weddings in the hotel that same day, we felt like we were the only wedding there.
Leslie and her team were amazing through the entire process. She was very responsive to communications and was receptive to meeting / talking however much or little I needed. The tasting was awesome and by then we had talked about a lot of the details in various emails - Leslie pulled everything we had talked about together and had it all organized - she was on top of everything. She was very accommodating in making sure we could get into the rooms to decorate with plenty of time, and she, Grayson, and Abbey were there through the entire day-of to coordinate with the vendors, help direct our small wedding party, and make sure things went smoothly. They were key in helping this bride relax and enjoy the ceremony and reception w/out being worried that things were being taken care of. Our family & friends all loved the wedding and had a great time, and a couple even commented that the food was the best they'd ever had at a wedding (Lobster cake and filet - da bomb!). And the cake / cupcakes were awesome (we've gained 5 lbs after the wedding eating leftover cupcakes!!)

My daughter was married June 23,2017 at Lansdowne. We worked with Leslie and from the beginning to end she was helpful, supportive, and attentive to every detail, phone call, and e-mail. Leslie went above and beyond to make sure the entire experience was a positive one. We had some communication issues with the room block process that was frustrating. Leslie picked up the ball and the process moved along smoothly. The outdoor terrace and clubhouse ballroom were beautiful, comfortable areas for our celebration. The menu selections were outstanding with many compliments. The resort was perfect for our family and friends to extend the week-end relaxing and enjoying the pools and golf. It was a perfect week-end with wonderful memories.

If you want people who are friendly, intelligent, efficient and absolutely amazing at what they do CHOOSE LANSDOWNE. Especially Leslie Eyster. She made my wedding EXCEED my expectations and she made every single thing happen and then some. She was so great with my parents and pulled every string necessary to accommodate us. We had a Welcome Party there the day before our wedding and our reception there. The service, the food, the set-up was all FLAWLESS. I simply cannot say enough good things. If you want a truly spectacular experience for your guests, host at Lansdowne. It was upscale, luxurious and beautiful.

I worked with Leslie and Christina at Lansdowne for my wedding weekend Dec 10-11. They were incredibly responsive and amazing at making all of my requests come to life. The guests universally loved their interactions with Lansdowne over the weekend, and they were systematically professional and enthusiastic. There were at least 4 other holiday parties during our wedding weekend and we did not even notice! So, so thankful for all of their help.

My husband and I were married at Lansdowne on 10/29/2016 and cannot imagine a more perfect place to host our entire wedding weekend. From the rehearsal dinner to the Sunday farewell brunch and everything in between, Lansdowne was so welcoming to all of our guests and truly provided exceptional service. From our first meeting with Erica Schlatter a year ago to begin planning our wedding, Lansdowne's staff has been so accommodating, communicative, and immeasurably helpful in making sure no detail was left unattended to. The food, the guest rooms, the event spaces, the gorgeous golf grounds, you name it- they know how to host beautiful weddings, and I cannot recommend them or their services enough. They also have a fantastic spa and salon on site, and Brenda and her team there made my entire bridal party look and feel so fabulous for the big day. Lansdowne, you really do have it all, so thank you for making our wedding so unforgettably wonderful!

The Lansdowne Team led by Erica Schlatter was absolutely top notch for our wedding. The entire end to end process was simply amazing, from the contract and additional add-ons, the responsiveness was immediate, and the actual service on the wedding day was incredible. The venue is so beautiful and they were very flexible with our large Indian wedding in accommodating our needs. Good not find a better venue in the area, and the facilities are really beautiful.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning! We received many compliments from our guests in regards the scenery and view. The food was also phenomenal; they provided generous portions and our guests were very delighted with the numerous selections. The staff was also very friendly, cheerful, and always willing to help. My wife and I just got married as Lansdowne last weekend. We worked with Leslie Eyster and WOW! We couldn't have asked for a better person to work with in planning our wedding. She was at our rehearsal dinner and wedding until she knew we were settled into the evening. She even fluffed my wife's dress right before walking down the aisle! Lansdowne was AMAZING. Seriously, working with Leslie could not have gone smoother - and I was doing it from Puerto Rico!!! She was a life-saver to this long-distancce bride, incredibly kind, and absolutely 100% knows her stuff! We were able to customize every tiny bit of the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception to fit exactly our dreams - honestly, I would recommend Lansdowne and Leslie to every bride. Know exactly what you want, and want a venue big enough to cater to that dream? They're perfect. Don't have a clue what you want, and need a venue to hand-hold? Leslie can guide you through the whole choice process.

I wasn't sure how formal of a ceremony/reception I wanted, and Lansdowne was able to show me options from ultra-traditional to ultra-laid-back! I ended up having a formal ceremony in the drop-dead-goregous herb garden, with reception in the glass-walled pavilion. It was a PERFECT choice for us! We used the luau rehearsal dinner menu for our reception menu - RAVES from the guests. We swapped a traditional cake for a cookie bar (chocolate chip, peanut butter, and sugar) with mini-shooters of milk (choc, strawberry, and regular!). Leslie was there almost the entire night to stage-manage the event, and she and her staff kept everything moving so fluidly.

We were given an incredible suite for the getting-ready pictures and for the wedding night, and even had individual conference rooms for the guys and girls to get ready in. I can't say enough good things about Lansdowne and Leslie - I am NOT a planner, and I needed some help with the whole wedding thing. They went above and beyond to make this a perfect night!

We are the parents of the groom and held a buffet dinner for the Rehearsal dinner with 78 guests. It was fantastic. Food and drinks were great as was the staff the night of. The year previous during the planing phase our contact was just the sweetest person who was professional, cooperative, quick to respond to a all or email. We felt so lucky to have her. I would do it again if we had any more children at home.

For my April wedding, my husband and I had our guests stay at the Lansdowne Resort and it was a dream come true. The hotel rooms were just recently renovated and are STUNNING! The staff was super helpful and charming. Everyone was there to help whether it was to pass our our welcome bags or to bring another ice bucket to the room. I felt like a very special guest during my stay at the Resort and couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Ericia helped us book our block of rooms and was very helpful and professional.

Our wedding at Lansdowne was absolutely perfect! Rachel our event manager and Hugo the banquet manager really went above and beyond to make our day flawless! It was so nice to have everything in one place and taken care of in such a professional way. The reception was perfectly timed, the food was fantastic and the cake was beautiful! I would absolutely recommend Lansdowne to other couples.

I selected Lansdowne Resort because I am local to the area and have visited the resort many times. What put the cherry on top to this perfect venue, was having Christina Gibson as my wedding coordinator over the course of my 15 month engagement. She was reliable, hardworking, dedicated to making my wedding day perfect, professional and so much fun to work with. I've gained a lifelong friend in the process for sure. As far as the presentation goes; My guests were WOW'ed when they entered the Clubhouse Ballroom. Lansdowne provided the uplighting for our reception (my favorite room at the resort) and our beautiful cake which was designed to look exactly like the picture I sent. We served filet and crab cake and everything was cooked to perfection and served hot and fresh. We had two signature drinks with our open bar package which Christina helped select..everyone loved them. The guests couldn't stop raving about the food and drinks and how stunning the total set up looked. It was a little chiller than we had planned for our outdoor cocktail hour, but Christina was able to arrange everything beautifully in the clubhouse foyer and everything looked as I had imagined it. I would highly recommend using Lansdowne Resort as your venue and urge you to request Christina as your coordinator. My wedding day was a dream come true.

This facility is AMAZING. I cannot say enough great things about this venue. Also, Leslie was amazing to work with. She made the wedding planning process easy and stress free. The entire weekend was easy and stress free. We did our rehearsal dinner there along with our reception. The food was amazing and the service was even better. I could not imagine having my wedding anywhere else. I loved every second of wedding planning and the wedding itself with this venue. I would HIGHLY recommend it.

Christina Gibson helped us plan our September wedding reception at Lansdowne. I’m not exaggerating when I say we could not have pulled it off without her. She was easily available every step of the way to answer questions big and small, presenting us with options and ideas that we would not have thought of otherwise. She is creative, calm, friendly, professional and patient (SO patient!). She made sure that the rest of the resort staff assisting with the reception were on the same page – the day went so smoothly and was totally worry-free. We really can’t thank her enough for all of the hard work!

Lansdowne was simply fantastic! We worked with Christina Gibbons who was incredibly professional and very friendly to work with. We have a very 'hands-on' family who wanted to be involved in every detail and Christina worked with my wife and I and our very excited family members! She handled all the details and last minute requests and really helped make the wedding a tremendous success and incredible party!

Lansdowne is an incredible venue, they took care of setting up a golf tournament for my friends and I the day before, gave us a giant, beautiful suite the night of the wedding for free (and we get a free night in the same suite on our anniversary). Every single person we worked with, from the baggage, to golf, to the pool, to the managers were so polite, friendly, and willing to help. This place gets 6 stars if possible. It was a beautiful event and the staff and venue were just perfect!

I had the pleasure of working with Leslie Eyster at Lansdowne for our wedding reception in the Clubhouse. She was always on top of things and made sure she touched base with me before I had to reach out to her. She was patient and answered all our questions and worked with us every step of the way. On the day of, everything was executed flawlessly and looked even more beautiful than we could have ever imagined! All of our guests also commented on how beautiful the reception was and not to mention how much everyone enjoyed the dinner that was served. We cannot thank Leslie and her team enough for making our wedding day so perfect!

The staff at Lansdowne Resort is incredible! Christina Gibson was our wedding coordinator and made everything so easy and stress free, she gave great recommendations on everything; vendors, food, music, linens. It was so helpful having her opinion and when we made a final decision she made it happen with NO hassle. Millie is amazing at what she does and made everything go so smoothly during the whole ceremony and celebration. Hugo was a fantastic bartender and also waited on us during our tasting, such a sweetheart! Laura made the most beautiful, jaw-dropping, delicious cake I have ever seen, I was honestly speechless when I saw it and tasted it! We honestly feel like these people are a part of our family now, they made us feel so special. This venue is a MUST, it's beautiful inside and out and we will be reminiscing forever about it, it was absolutely our dream come true wedding.

The Lansdowne Staff did amazing things in preparing and hosting our wedding ceremony and reception. Christina Gibson, Catering Manager, was a dream to work with from day one. She always had suggestions available and always had a back-up plan for when things were not quite how we wanted it to be. She was very responsive in emails and was available to meet in person anytime we requested. She went above and beyond to make our event a very special one. Amanda Vassar, Director of Spa, was also fantastic in organizing the saloon and spa pre-ceremony events. Since we were having the ceremony and reception at Lansdowne, we also wanted to have the Bridal Party get prepared there. Amanda was able to accommodate all our needs in a very short time frame and worked with our group to make sure they could all get up-dos, make-up, nail services, and massages coordinated for the big day. Thanks to all the staff at Lansdowne for your superb effort!

This was our wedding reception venue for our October 12, 2014 wedding. Our wedding was held on a Sunday as there was a pretty hefty price difference between Saturday/Sunday weddings, however the price for Lansdowne is totally worth it. After planning the reception, I was concerned about the smaller details: How would the gifts get picked up after the reception? Do I need to bring buckets of water for the sparklers? What about all of my decorations? Everything was taken care of by the Lansdowne staff. My mom was thrilled that she really didn't lift a finger after the reception. In fact, after the sparkler exit, everything was nearly packed up. It was like magic. Now the food: OMG. We selected the BBQ bar and I don't think I have ever tasted better pulled pork. Our biggest concern was not having enough food. We worked with our coordinator Christina and were ensured there would be plenty and there was. I was the bride and I was stuffed with amazing food! The view off of the clubhouse balcony is to die for and they even set up heaters for when it became chilly out (also free of charge). The whole experience was wonderful!

I got married at Lansdowne Resort in October and couldn't have picked a better venue. Everything from the food to the ceremony space was amazing. I really enjoyed working with Whitney - She was very responsive and ensured that every detail was perfectly executed!

We cannot say enough great things. Our coordinator Leslie Eyster was FANTASTIC and the whole process was awesome. They were always available to answer our questions, and we had plenty. The food was delicious!! The staff was VERY friendly! We give them a 6 out of 5 and can't say enough nice things. Again, Leslie was a HUGE help and asset to our whole event!

So I will start with this- we planned our wedding in 4.5 months. We got engaged in late April and decided to try and make a fall wedding happen. We went to tour Lansdowne and immediately know that this was our venue- their outdoor ceremony space overlooking the mountains was exactly what we wanted! Fortunately, Lansdowne had an opening September 20, so we took it! I know there is no way we could have pulled this off without Lansdowne, and catering manager Christina Gibson.

Christina is AMAZING! She was 100% on top of everything, answered all our questions, was very responsive through the entire process, and was a rockstar the day of the wedding. She answered all my crazy, freaked-out bride questions with a smile. Lansdowne took care of so many things for our wedding, and anything they didn't cover was taken care of by one of the amazing vendors recommended by Christina.

Landsdowne was absolutely a beautiful venue for a wedding and reception. Our ceremony was on the Potomac terrace with a gorgeous backdrop of the golf course, Potomac River and mountains. The Clubhouse ballroom was great because it was separate from the main hotel. It was a perfect size for a 110 people reception and having the terrace in the back provided guest with options to be outside also. The food was fantastic (the tasting was one of the best parts about planning our wedding here)

We loved working with Christina Gibson, catering manager, who helped us with our menu and customized our reception to fit our budget. Christina’s quick responses to emails, timeliness, professionalism and easy going personality made the planning stages and end results for our wedding day perfect. Christina worked well with our wedding coordinator and was present at our ceremony and reception.

We had an absolutely amazing wedding weekend at Lansdowne Resort. From the moment we pulled up to the moment we left, everything was perfect. It was also wonderful to have Leslie by our side at every event throughout the weekend. The bellmen, front desk agents, event staff (MILLIE), etc all over-delivered and allowed us to relax and enjoy the weekend. Millie was exceptional all weekend and made sure my husband and I were taken care of and happy. I would highly recommend Lansdowne to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing, destination wedding! We selected Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg as the primary hotel for our wedding guests. Our ceremony and reception venues were nearby, and Lansdowne provided and good central location for our guests. We worked with Miranda to plan our wedding room block, and she was very helpful in terms of advising how many rooms we should reserve. Note that in the contract with Lansdowne, you are committing to a minimum number of rooms based on the size of your room block. Miranda was helpful in making sure we did not over-commit. Lansdowne provided weekly e-mails with updates on reservations against the room block which helped us ensure that our wedding party and out of town guests got rooms before the hotel filled up. We put together gift bags for our guests, and Lansdowne handled them very professionally (this is important given there were at least three other wedding groups at Lansdowne that weekend). The guest rooms were very nice, and we also used the Presidential Suite for bridal party preparations the morning of the wedding. The room was perfect, and despite the size of the bridal party (seven bridesmaids, two juniors, and three flower girls), everyone was comfortable. After the reception, we kept the party going at the hotel bar, which gave us a nice opportunity to continue mingling with our guests.

Lansdowne Resort and their wedding coordinator Christina Gibson were absolutely amazing! I couldn’t have imagined my wedding day any other way. It was beautiful and well run. The food was also amazing! Thank you so much for making my day so perfect 

We worked with Christina Gibson and she was absolutely AMAZING! She helped me with every little issue I had and always with a smile. For example: our 4 yr old has multiple allergies. She allowed me to bring his meal then had them plate it and serve him so he felt like every other guest. When it came to cake time she saw him crying because he couldn't eat it and had the chef make him something he could eat. We did our rehearsal dinner there also and it too was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day, it was truly a day of "making dreams come true". My only regret was that I couldn't do it again the next day. Thanks a million Christina!!

The Lansdowne Resort is beautiful and amazing on its own, but my coordinator Leslie Eyster was really the one who made my dream a reality. I had to plan my wedding from Texas, so we communicated via e-mail and phone and she was incredibly helpful and super detail oriented which is incredibly important to me. Even though we had to hold the ceremony indoors due to rain, the entire day and night were beautiful and flawless. I would have gone crazy with stress if it wasn't for Leslie's guidance and support and she took care of every last detial so that I was able to relax and finally enjoy all of the time and planning that went into my wedding. Everybody had an amazing time, and the dance floor was packed the entire night. The guests raved about the food, service, resort and especially how lovely and fun the event was. She even packed up the zillion items I brought for the ceremony and reception and had it all in my room organized and ready to go. She even helped coordinate my dress change for the reception and my ceremony line-up which was a great help to me. I could easily list a hundred different things she was able to help me with and I would highly recommend requesting her to be your event coordinator. She was amazing for my wedding (which was mostly planned though email and over the phone) so I'm sure she would be equally flawless for those living nearby. I am still on cloud nine after having the best day of my life at the Lansdowne Resort. I can't wait to come back for our anniversary stay, and I only wish we could have stayed in town longer. Our wedding was awesome and I wouldn't have changed a thing! :)

Lansdowne was an amazing venue. After a very relaxed year of planning (relaxed because Lansdowne's wonderful staff - specifically our wedding planner Christina Gibson - made it seem easy and smooth) we had the most fantastic day. From the moment of our walk through to the moment we said "I do" the staff were top notch, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Christina was wonderful to work with and not only kept me (the bride) calm, but worked secretly with my family to plan a few fun surprises. The day of the wedding she walked us through each step of the day so we didn't have to think. Additionally she and her staff did a wonderful job executing my vision for the wedding. I provided Christina with an overwhelming pile of homemade decorations to accompany Lansdowne fantastic decor and she put them in place without pause.

Our guests ranted and raved about the comfort the hotel, the beautiful facilities and grounds, and the amazing personal ad open feel of the wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better day! A special thinks to Christina and her attentive staff. I would highly recommend having your wedding here!!

I couldn't have asked for a better venue for my special day. Lindsay was fast to reply to all my silly questions (and there were a lot of those) and very thorough in helping me ensure my day was the best it could be. The food, decor, staff, EVERYTHING was better than I could have ever imagined.

Lansdowne was amazing and especially our wedding coordinator, Lindsay Forseth! My wedding day went so smoothly (despite the rain) and even when we had to move the ceremony from outside to inside, Lindsay made sure everything was taken care of. Lindsay was there the whole entire time and she made sure everything was placed where I wanted it, I did not have to worry the entire night. I was pleased with with my "plan B" ceremony location and that is where we ended up! The reception was amazing, the servers all were excellent (at the rehearsal dinner too); also the bartenders were great. We also did a brunch the next morning and it was great! The whole weekend was amazing and I would highly recommend Lansdowne to any future bride! It is a great place to have a wedding where everything can happen all at one place and everyone can stay at the venue. It was the best weekend of my life! There are also lots of places close by for food options, nails, hair, and anything else you might want to do!

Both our ceremony and reception took place here, at the on-the-potomac terrace and pavilion, respectively. The whole event went very smoothly, and Renee was fantastic! I loved how on the morning of the event she called me to let me know she was there for me the whole day and if I needed anything, she would make it happen. The food was delicious, and the ceremony and reception set ups were beautiful.

The first time Dan and I visited Lansdowne Resort, we knew it would be perfect for our wedding venue right from the beginning! How could you not fall in love with it? The landscape views provide a beautiful setting for a wedding and the Hearth restaurant we saw had floor to ceiling windows that brings lots of sun inside the space. As a designer, this is definitely a plus! Despite loving the place, we weren't sure we could afford it due to our set budget. We realized this was not going to be a problem because Lindsay Forseth, the venue catering manager, helped us work through our menu and stay within budget. She was not only absolutely helpful but also very nice and welcoming. We truly loved working with her because of her professionalism and easy going personality. Also, she worked well with our Wedding Day Coordinator, Jennifer Smith from Elegantly Chic's Events. Additionally, she went beyond her duties at times to ensure our day went smoothly and stress free for us! Everything turned out beyond our expectations.

We just got married this past weekend at Lansdowne Resort and the service, facilities, and staff were amazing. Renee, our catering manager, was amazing throughout the entire process. My fiance' and I knew after our very first meeting with Renee, that we were in good hands. Renee was very accommodating to our needs and requests and followed through on everything we asked for promptly. Everyone that came to the wedding commented on how great the food tasted and how beautiful the Lansdowne was. We got married at the waterfall terrace area and had our reception in the golf club house.

Lansdowne practically takes care of your every need and will work with you from the very beginning with their vendor lists and recommendations. They were our venue for ceremony and reception, took care of our catering; even our dessert, and Renee was our organizer throughout and for the day of; keeping everything on track and taking care of all our rental needs.

The day of, their staff was fantastic, Renee and Millie took care of us and were so delightful. You can tell they do this all the time and know exactly what they're doing. I don't think anything could surprise them or throw them off! The white glove service is a nice touch, too. Lansdowne includes several perks to their wedding package like a food tasting before the wedding (that was a treat), a round of free golf and a spa gift certificate to mention a few.

We stayed at Landsdowne Resort on our Wedding Night. The service was amazing. The Concierge comped our Valet parking and the suite was exquisite. We were able to sit out near the fire pit and drink wine under the moon light. What an incredible venue that definitely inspired some memories.

Our wedding was recently at Lansdowne on 10/27/12 could not have been more perfect. We wish we could do it all again. Lindsay Forseth was our coordinator/Senior Sales Manager and was a huge help. She was always very calm, yet responsive and accomodating no matter what the situation was. She was knowledgable and professional throughout the entire process. We were very pleased with Lansdowne's package and the ability to switch out options in order to cater to our needs and budget as well. The food was a hit and we could not have been more in love with our wedding cake. It was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I had pictured. We had many guests say it was one of the most well put together (and beautiful) weddings they had been too and that the venue was outstanding. I highly recommend Lansdowne, Lindsay Forseth and everything it has to offer for the perfect wedding.

I got married at Lansdowne on September 2, 2012. Working with Renee Russell was wonderful- she always responded promptly, professionally, and with helpful answers to my family's million questions throughout the planning process! The weather for our wedding weekend was iffy, so at the rehearsal we didn't know if we would be outside or inside. Renee had a stomach bug, and still made sure to come to the rehearsal and explain all the details so that, rain or shine, we would be ready to go!

We got married in the Waterfall Terrace, and it was BEAUTIFUL! Our reception at the Clubhouse Ballroom was lovely; the food was amazing and all the waitstaff was pleasant and helpful.

The only issue we ran into was with reservations and check-in. When guests made their reservations, they were told they could not check in until 4- our ceremony started at 4! Fortunately, Lansdowne was flexible & the guests were able to check in early. Also, several guests were not counted in our block of rooms, and we had to follow up with Lansdowne to correct that.

Overall, our wedding was perfect :) Thank you to Renee for helping with the endless details!!!

Our daughter's wedding at Lansdowne could not have been more perfect. Lindsay Forseth was an exceptionally knowledgable and professional wedding planner. She was always calm and collected. She was extremely responsive to our every need and the final results were fabulous. Lansdowne's preferred vendors are top notch and we were very satisfied with their service. We had many overnight guests who could not stop talking about the resort and its outstanding service. One of the biggest hits was the signature drink created by the resort at our daughter's request. It was both fun and delicious. I had hoped for the "WOW" factor when our guests arrived and we got even more than I could have hoped for. Accolades to the resort and all its staff.

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at Lasdowne Resort. We had our reception in the clubhouse and the ceremony on the terrace. Lansdowne was the absolute perfect place for us. We loved having our friends and family stay at the resort. From the beginning Lansdowne was very helpful and responsive to all our questions and concerns. Our daughter's wedding was held at Lansdowne on June 30, 2012, and it was an amazing event thanks to all the staff! Lindsay Forseth, senior catering manager, was an excellent event manager. She was a joy to work, and I would highly recommend her to anyone. Lindsay was always polite, patient, responsive, and accommodating. She took care of everything from start to finish.

Lesley Lynch, executive meeting manager, was a delight to work with in helping to secure a wedding room block for our guests. She was very professional and always attentive to my questions and requests. The hotel staff was great and made sure our guests were taken care of.

The ceremony at the Waterfall Terrace was beautiful, and the Clubhouse Ballroom looked awesome. The food was absolutely incredible, and our guests are still raving about the delicious cocktail appetizers of bacon wrapped scallops, chicken souvalki, and lollipop of New zealand lamb followed by the exquisite filet mignon and crab cake dinners. The banquet staff was professioal, efficient, and very helpful. Azmat, the banquet manager, was top notch with his service staff.

I highly recommend Lansdowne Resort for a great place to get married. It is the perfect wedding venue!

i had my wedding on 5/27/12 at Lansdowne Resort! I had the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception there. Everything was perfect! Lindsay F. was our coordinator there and she is the best! She really made sure that everything ran smoothly.

May is a perfect time to have a wedding at Lansdowne. Everything is green- we didn't need any flowers at the ceremony.

We used the pavilion for the rehearsal dinner, and it was beautiful, but outdoorsy, and as usual, the food was fantastic. The ceremony was overlooking the golf course.... the pictures could not have turned out better! The reception was in the ball room- we used all 3 rooms and it was perfect for our 235 guests. It didn't seem too "open". We used amber colored uprights to make the room look more cozy/romantic. The food was DELICIOUS! I wish I got to eat more of it! We did the stations option. I got the most compliments on the carving station, mashed potato station, and the crab cakes. I remember from the tasting that these were all good- make sure you eat at your wedding!

The best part about having my wedding at Lansdowne was that everyone could STAY THERE. It was so nice to have all of my friends and family close for the whole weekend. NO one had to drive home after a night of drinking. The rooms were awesome, the pool was amazing, all of the restaurants/food options were delicious! I don't know how we are going to top this wedding- I have 2 younger sisters!

We had Renee working with us on our big day and she was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we met her, until we said good-bye at the end of the event, she was nothing short of spectacular! She was so friendly, professional, accomodating and understanding. She was a terrific person to work with and the event went off without a hitch. We can't thank her or the staff enough for making our day truly wonderful!

We began our negotiations with a different wedding planner and were a little frustrated with her lack of response and timeliness. When Renee Russell took over the account, we were thrilled. She always called back or emailed us any answers to questiosn we had in a timely manner. She was a total delight to work with! We spent the weekend at the resort -- had the ceremony out on the terrace and the reception in the club house. My daughter made many things and had 2 car loads of "stuff" for Renee to store on Friday night and then put out on Saturday -- all with a smile on her face and everything done perfectly!

The ony little problem, and I cannot lay blame on Renee for this, was the reservation system. People called up and the reservation person could not find the block or said it was full, when it was not -- seemed to be a little confusion there. When we went to the sales manager directly, he fixed our problem and that of not having enough rooms in our block!

All in all -- a wonderful weekend at Lansdowne -- thank you to Renee and all the wonderful staff!!!!!!!

We recently had our daughter's wedding reception at Lansdowne Resort. From the time we contacted Lindsay Forseth in June, 2011 to May 19, 2012 (wedding day), she was extraordinary. She was easy to work with, organized, professional, and always looking out for us. As busy as Lansdowne is, we always felt like "our wedding" was the only one Lindsay was working on. She made us feel very special. Our daughter lived in Boston, and was only able to visit Lansdowne several times. Lindsay was so flexible when scheduling time for linen selection, tastings, and the walk-through. We knew this reception was going to be wonderful and Lindsay was going to make sure of it. She was there throughout the evening, managing things.

Lansdowne is a beautiful venue. Our photographer loved shooting all her wedding photos here. Our guests enjoyed their accomodations, as did we, and we received unbelievable service from everyone at Lansdowne. May 19, 2012 was a day to remember. Our wedding at Lansdowne Resort was exceptional. Renee Russell was our Catering Sales Manager, and she was wonderful to work with. Renee is extremely organized and responsive; she definitely gave me peace of mind when I was overwhelmed and exceeded my expectations during the entire planning process. She also ran the rehearsal and helped coordinate all of the events on the actual wedding day, from the ceremony to the reception. I was confident that the entire day would run smoothly since it was in her hands, and it truly did. Lansdowne definitely hires the best of the best.

I would also recommend this venue if you want to have the ceremony, reception and hotel accommodations in the same location, it makes planning a lot easier and it's very convenient for your guests. We were going to have the ceremony outside on the terrace, but unfortunately it rained on our wedding day (good luck for the marriage, right?), so we had it inside with the stone waterfall as the backdrop. Despite the inclement weather, it was still a beautiful ceremony. No matter what happens on your wedding day, you cannot go wrong with Lansdowne. We had 100 guests, so we chose the Riverside Hearth as our reception site. The Riverside Hearth is one of Lansdowne's restaurants that can be turned into a stunning reception spot with the right florist, lighting, and linens. I loved how everything looked and several guests raved about how it all just felt so intimate.

Not only are the coordination and scenery excellent, but the food is to die for (the tasting was one of the best parts about planning a wedding here)! We received a lot of positive feedback from our guests on the hors d'oeuvres, entrees, and cake. I guess most people do not expect to have delicious food at a wedding, but Lansdowne will prove you wrong! I could not have asked for a better experience, and would recommend this venue to any bride that prefers working with people who take pride in the quality of their work.

She was there the entire day of the wedding - calling me in the morning just to make sure I didn't need anything, making sure all the vendors set up everything just right, organizing us to walk down the aisle, helping manage the timeline of the reception, making sure my shoes got back to my suite....you name it!

The food was incredible. I was concerned after the tasting that the same quality wouldn't be repeated for 150 people, but it was. I was disappointed I didn't get to eat as much as I wanted on our day because we were talking to all the guests.

All of the waiters and bartenders were professional. They made sure my husband and I, as well as my mom, always had a drink.

With a lot of out of town family, it was great to be able to spend more than an evening reception together - the men played golf on Friday, the ladies went to the spa, and we all got together for breakfast on Sunday morning. Even though we are local, it had all the perks of a destination wedding without the travel time.

The absolute only problem we had was with a few family members calling to book rooms under our reserved block being told the block was full - when it wasn't, however once I contacted the Reservations Manager or Lindsay - it was taken care of immediately!

Loved, loved, loved having our wedding at Lansdowne Resort. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of from the time we arrived to check out Lansdowne all the way up until the day after our wedding. Also, the wedding packages they offer include alot which is really nice because it's one less thing the bride and groom have to worry about or take care of.

Our on-site coordinator Lindsay was also awesome! She answered all of our questions, alleviated any concerns we had, and was very attentive throughout the entire process. We really didn't have to worry about anything which was a very nice feeling. What a wonderful, smooth, and stress free wedding day we had thanks to Lansdowne Resort and their amazing staff!

Both of our wedding coordinators Kristen and Noel were excellent, I felt really comfortable from the moment I met them. My husband and I were really pleased with everything, we had our ceremony outside and it was just beautiful the way it was, we didn't add much except for flower petals on the floor. For our reception we didn't want to be indoors so we had it at the pavilion and it was just perfect for us. Our wedding wasn't that big and it accommodated 60 people without any problems. Our entire guest absolutely loved the food and cake, for the amount of money that we paid it was well worth it. I would recommend Noel in a heartbeat for any future brides; she is very professional, friendly and made our wedding day just perfect. So thank you Noel for all you hard work.

There is soooo much I could say about Lansdowne. Here just the tip of the iceberg:

- Ceremony Location - ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!! Our wedding was on the back terrace, and it was a perfect day, perfect setting, and fabulous backdrop. We had to add very little to it to make it our own because Lansdowne already takes great care of their grounds.

- Reception - We had the entire ballroom and patio area to ourselves, and it was great. The room setup, little touches Lansdowne puts on the tables for both the cocktail hour and reception, and just the overall look and feel of the room was phenomenal. And the food...I can't say enough...I just wish I could go back and get more!! Our guests raved over the lamb chop appetizers, and couldn't believe we followed that up with filet and crab cake for dinner, and key lime tart for dessert...and that was even before the cake! Our cake was simply elegant and a delicious lemon cake with raspberry and lemon curd filling...delicous!!! Also many thanks to Ms. Millie (banquet manager), our bartender (I can't recall her name but she kept a smile on her face the entire night), and the entire wait staff. They were the best!!

Wedding Planning - unbeknownest to us, Lansdowne provided onsite coordination. Let me tell you, without the help of Lindsay Forseth, I know for a fact our wedding would not have been as great as it was. She was a gem to work with, she has impeccable taste and attention to detail, and she was sooo helpful in making sure our day was perfect. We worked with her from day one, and we are sooo thankful for her and the hard work she put into making sure this day was fabulous. She told us from the start "all you have to do is show up" and literally that's what we did!! She was extremely responsive to the ton of emails I sent her (even thoughI know she was super busy planning other weddings), and on our wedding day she made sure all of our little extras (toasting flutes, reception gift card box, etc) were delivered back to our room. Basically we didn't have to worry about a thing! Hopefully her management is reading this because she should be commended for what a great job she did on our wedding!! Thanks again Lindsay!

Rooms - Our bridal suite and guests rooms were great. The bridal suite was huge, and offered enough space for both myself and my husband to get ready in different areas so that we wouldn't see each other, and at the end of the evening we were given a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to top off a fabulous day.

There's a lot more I could say but I'll sum it all up with THANK YOU LANSDOWNE FOR MAKING OUR DAY AND THIS EXPERIENCE SOOOO SPECIAL!!

I got married in March 2011 and had my reception at Lansdowne. I had a fantastic experience. We worked with Lindsay Forseth, now the Senior Catering Sales Manager. She made everything so easy. I didn't have much time to plan my wedding, and I could not have done it without her. She recommended all of my vendors, which saved me a ton of time. Lansdowne is extremely accomodating and honored every single one of our requests. They don't nickle and dime you for little things. They are straightforward and fair. I found their prices in March to be a great value, since it was considered off season. I truly got the best wedding experience I could have asked for. Right down to the last second, Lindsay took care of me and my family. She took care of all the little things I would have forgotten -- the cards, the toasting flutes...they were all delivered safely and soundly to our room. Even though she was probably planning plenty of other weddings, I felt like mine was the only one! I don't know how she does it, but I am grateful I found her. I would highly recommend the ballroom with the big porch...it's a great spot to relax and get some fresh air during your wedding. Lansdowne even arranged for us to have outdoor heaters at no charge. Finally, the food was awesome! I was on a pretty tight budget so I wanted to save money wherever possible. I went with the Classic buffet and it was fabulous. I don't think you can get a bad meal there.

When searching for a place for our daughter’s wedding. Our criteria was to have a beautiful place for our guests to stay and enjoy, the ability to have an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour, a big ball room with plenty of room for dancing, and The Lansdowne was able to give us that and more. The food was delicious, our guests raved about the crab cakes and the filet mignon with toasted walnuts and gorgonzola cheese. All our appetizers were just amazing, and there was plenty being brought around. The service was terrific from meetings with our coordinator, Lindsay Forseth, to the banquet manager, bartenders and service staff. Everything went smoothly through the event, Lindsay checked in with us frequently to see if we needed anything. After the reception, we were able to reserve the Fire Pit area for our private party with a bartender, just a wonderful way to end the evening with our family and friends.

The venue was the first thing I booked almost a year out because I knew it would be a coveted weekend as I wanted to have my wedding on Labor Day weekend since I knew most everyone would have Monday off which would give my guests adequate time to travel back/recoup before returning to work on Tuesday. Therefore I had been in communications with everyone at Lansdowne for about a year before the wedding day actually came. Everyone I worked with was so responsive and professional which is key for me as I am a stickler about people not responding to me in a timely manner as I just think when you are wedding planning it is a much needed touch as you are feeling frantic and typically want responses ASAP so that you can continue on with your planning, which I was able to do with all the timely responses I received from everyone at Lansdowne. I initially began my wedding planning with Leslie Eyster who was fabulous and really helped me create the wedding I wanted around my budget. We were able to cut things out that I didn't feel were necessary so that I was able to cut on some of the cost, which I really appreciated. Later in my planning, the reigns were turned over to Lindsay Forseth, who was a true joy to work with. She was the best day of coordinator that I could have asked for. I mean I seriously felt as if I had booked a weeding coordinator, without actually paying for one, because she pretty much handled everything for me, it was pretty unbelievable. Every time a "crisis" struck (which there were many as can expected with weddings) she had a solution for my problem. She was so flexible and really worked with me through everything. The day of the wedding, I was treated like a queen by all the staff. Lindsay was there all day to help me with anything I needed and everyone there was extremely attentive and responsive to all my needs.

Lansdowne Resort is the best all around package if you are looking for a gorgeous venue for a ceremony & reception with all the bells & whistles which also can serve as a mini vacation spot for your guests to stay the whole entire weekend, if they'd like (perfect for out of town guests!). The outdoor ceremony location is amazing and has a breathtaking backdrop and then just mere steps, with no driving involved, you and your guests can go enjoy a party/reception in an amazing venue filled with wonderful staff who constantly come around and check on you to make sure everything about the day is going as you wanted and will do whatever is needed to make sure they fix anything to conform with your needs and wants.

I cannot say enough about this place! If you are wanting a fabulous wedding you have to come check out Lansdowne resort as an option for your wedding venue otherwise you are truly missing out.

My husband and I selected Lansdowne to hold our ceremony and reception on July 2, 2011. We met with Lindsay Forseth almost a year and a half before the wedding - she was extraordinary to work with from day one. Everyone we had come in contact with at Lansdowne was very responsive, flexible, understanding and very helpful. I enjoyed working with Lindsay because she was very accomodating and patient with our room block, as we had many out of town guests staying at the Resort. She also provided feedback and guidance on other wedding related topics that many wouldn't think a catering sales manager would be willing to assist with. I had her review my ceremony programs and asked for her insight on several ideas I had during my planning. The staff was on point with setting up every detail we requested for the ceremony and reception from rehearsal to rehearsal dinner to our big day! They were super nice to us and our guests and were very professional. On top of all this, Lansdowne is a very beautiful place for such an occassion. The rooms were spectacular and our guests really enjoyed their stay. Thank you Lindsay and team! I wouldn't change anything about our wedding - it was perfect thanks to you!
