Wow! Lanier Islands is the most beautiful place to get married. But beyond its beautiful scenery, they have the most incredible staff. From the first time we toured there we knew we had to get married here. The staff were all so kind and helpful, we felt like we got the VIP treatment the whole time. They accommodated every request and answered every question so quickly. I had no stress going into the wedding day knowing Lanier Islands had me covered. They were so kind when we had a last-minute guest count change and made everything go so smoothly. They have such a good relationship with all the vendors which helped things go smoothly in ways I hadn't even thought of while I was planning. All of our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was & how amazing the food tasted. We were even surprised with champagne and chocolate in our room when we got back after the wedding! We had the absolute best experience with them and can't wait to go back to visit! -

Perfect place for any event especially a wedding!!
We just had our wedding at Lanier Islands Resort and honestly, it was everything we dreamed of and more. The place is gorgeous—the grounds are stunning and the whole vibe just feels really warm and welcoming.
But what really made our day so special was the people. Angelica, our catering manager, was amazing. She made sure every single detail with the food and drinks was spot-on, and you could tell she genuinely cared about making our day perfect. And Jackie, our wedding coordinator? She was incredible. So calm, so organized, always thinking three steps ahead. Because of her, we didn't have to stress about anything—we could just be in the moment and enjoy it.
We can't say enough good things about the whole Lanier Islands team. They really helped make our vision come to life. If you're looking for a wedding venue with beautiful scenery and a staff that actually cares, this is the place. We're so happy we got married there! -

My husband and I planned our wedding in a very short time frame (only 2 months!!). Lake Lanier Islands was our first choice of venue, and we were so lucky to get a weekend that was available for our schedule. Olivia Hinze was our catering manager, and she was incredible! The Groomsmen and Bridesmaids stayed in separate villas. Having all 6 of each bridal party's rooms together in one place was convenient and made getting ready together so much easier. We had our rehearsal at Venetian Pier and our ceremony/reception at Legacy Pointe. Both were absolutely stunning! The food exceeded everyone's expectations, and we are still being told by our guests that it was the best wedding they have been to. -

We recently had our wedding at Peachtree Pointe Amphitheatre and Pavilion at Lake Lanier Islands, and it was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From the stunning lake views to the exceptional team behind the scenes, every detail was thoughtfully executed and exceeded our expectations.
Olivia, our catering manager, was phenomenal. She was responsive, organized, and ensured the food and service were top-tier. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and flowed perfectly throughout the night. Oksana, our sales manager, made the entire planning process so easy and stress-free. She answered every question with patience and made us feel supported from start to finish.
We also want to give a special shoutout to the event captain, who was a steady and professional presence on the day of the wedding. Their attentiveness and behind-the-scenes coordination made everything feel effortless for us and our guests.
Aside from the incredible service and gorgeous setting, we were also blown away by the value for money. Lake Lanier Islands offered a breathtaking venue with top-notch staff and amenities at a very reasonable price point—especially compared to other locations we considered. We truly felt like we got so much more than we paid for.

We cannot say enough good things about Lake Lanier Islands. Our wedding was absolutely perfect, all thanks to Olivia Hinze and all the amazing staff members!! We had a smaller wedding but from start to finish there was not one problem.
We were honored to be the first wedding ceremony in the Chapel and our guest could not stop talking about how unique the Venetian Pier was for our reception! We would recommend Lake Lanier Islands for everybody’s wedding again and again. -

Having our wedding at Lake Lanier Islands was the closest to magic I have ever felt.
From the moment we stepped onto the property, we knew this was the place. We had never visited before our tour, but Fernando Saenz made us feel right at home. He was warm, patient, professional, and answered all our questions without hesitation. After that first visit, we were completely in love with the venue.
Once we secured our date, we began working with Olivia Hinze on all the planning—and we could not have asked for a better partner through the process. Since Lake Lanier Islands handles the catering and event setup as well, Olivia became our go-to for everything. She brought structure, organization, and calm to a time that could have easily been overwhelming. Her sweet smile, charming personality, and professionalism made all the difference. She was always responsive to emails and phone calls, even during the final stretch when communication really picked up. Olivia handled everything like a total pro.
We also offered a hotel room block for our guests, which was managed seamlessly by Dolly Cueva. She made it simple and stress-free, which we so appreciated with so many moving parts leading up to the big weekend.
When the wedding weekend finally arrived, Lake Lanier Islands absolutely delivered. We hosted both our rehearsal dinner and wedding/reception on the property, and everything was flawless. The staff was incredible across the board. A special shoutout to Sandra, our catering captain for both events—she and her team were exceptional.
From the planning to the food to the atmosphere, Lake Lanier Islands exceeded our expectations at every turn. We are so deeply grateful to have celebrated one of the most important weekends of our lives in such a magical place, surrounded by an amazing team.
If you're considering getting married here—do it. You won’t regret it for a second. -

We had a wonderful and successful wedding at Lanier Islands! Olivia and Jacob were incredibly helpful—both professional and detail-oriented throughout the planning process. The ceremony site overlooking Lake Lanier was absolutely stunning, and the reception package offered unbeatable value compared to other venues we considered.
Our guests couldn’t stop praising the beautiful lakefront setting. Plus, there were plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy, like the game center and golf course on the island.
The food and drinks were excellent, and we loved spending our complimentary wedding night at the Legacy Lodge, complete with champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries—such a thoughtful touch!
Overall, we’re so glad we chose Lanier Islands for our big day. We’ll definitely be recommending it to our newly engaged friends! -

Lake Lanier Islands was hands down the best wedding venue we could have dreamed of! The setting was absolutely stunning, with unreal, breathtaking views that made us feel like we had the entire islands reserved just for our special day. The natural beauty of the venue, combined with its spacious and serene atmosphere, created a truly magical experience for us and all of our guests.
The staff at Lake Lanier Islands went above and beyond in every way, but we especially want to give the highest praise to Fernando Saenz, our incredible Wedding & Social Events Sales Manager. Fernando was nothing short of a lifesaver. He worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was perfect, responding to every email and call within minutes—no matter the time. He was so kind, supportive, and incredibly organized, handling coordination with every vendor and anticipating our needs with unmatched dedication. Our wedding simply would not have gone off without him, and his exceptional care is a huge reason our day was so flawless.
The food was phenomenal—truly the best wedding cuisine we’ve ever tasted! The staff, particularly at Sidney’s Restaurant and throughout our reception, provided the warmest, most attentive service. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how well they were treated and the outstanding experience from the moment they arrived to the time they left.
We also have to highlight the front desk staff, who went above and beyond in making our guests feel so welcomed. They happily passed out our goody bags and were incredibly accommodating with early and late checkouts, ensuring everyone had a smooth, enjoyable stay.
The golf carts were a massive hit, making transportation around the islands so much fun and convenient. The staff even went out of their way to meet guests or assist with returning the carts. With guests staying across all three locations—the Lodge, the Villas, and the LakeHouses—everyone was blown away by the beautiful accommodations. And our honeymoon suite? It was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect escape after our unforgettable celebration.
A huge, heartfelt thank you to Fernando, the front desk team, and the entire Lake Lanier Islands staff for making our wedding so extraordinary. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue, and we will forever cherish the memories of that beautiful day! -

Angelica helped our vision of our rustic wedding come to life! From her very detailed planning, amazing execution and attentiveness. She made sure myself and my partner were seen as a gay couple with absolutely no issues. Angelica was very attentive the day of which really made us feel secure as the day of the wedding is already crazy! The entire staff that worked as we partied through the reception was also amazing and so kind. The food and drinks at Lake Lanier are top notch! We truly had the wedding of dreams. -

The wedding events staff members were incredible to work with, were always available to answer our questions, and provided great vendor recommendations for all wedding needs (I HIGHLY recommend hiring one of the wedding planners from their list). Want to relive our weekend over & over again!
My fiancé (now husband!!) and I had just moved to GA. Lanier Islands was the first venue we looked at, and it was the last! As soon as we drove through, we had “that feeling” that this was the place. As soon as we toured “legacy pointe” we knew it was the location where we wanted to tie the knot in front of all our friends and family! Since the day we booked, every one has been so on it! From our sales manager, Celita, to our banquet manager, to every single person working, even those that open that lodge door with a smile on their face. However, the person who truly made this experience so seamless & stress free was our catering manager, Olivia Hinze. I honestly can’t even believe this is her title because the girl does it all!!! If i had a question or the slightest “issue”, I say that lightly because there really wasn’t many, she was right there to answer, fix it or make sure we had whatever we envisioned or needed. Planning weddings are stressful but Olivia made it sooo easy!! She even showed up to our rehearsal dinner and wedding day to check in, make sure everything was perfect & give her well wishes.
We have received nonstop compliments on everything: from the friendliness of the staff, to how wonderful the food tasted, even down to how clean & well taken care of the whole island is.
We cannot recommend this place enough! We will definitely be back to stay, maybe our one year anniversary, & just enjoy all the resort has to offer.

Beautiful, intimate and unique venue. We got married at the Venetian Pier and we couldn't have hoped for a more perfect location. Sales and Catering Manager Dana made the day run so smoothly and all the staff were so professional, kind and attentive. The whole team was very flexible with us planning a wedding from a different state and they accommodated our last minute changes and specific dietary requests/guest needs. We wouldn't have changed a thing! -

Our daughters wedding reception was absolutely perfect!
Working with the staff was wonderful beforehand and we used many of their preferred vendors that were great also. The food that Lanier Islands prepared was delicious and the drinks were great. We had the reception at Peachtree Pointe and it was decorated beautifully by Design House of Flowers in Buford. We left the doors open and the outside views of the lake were great. The staff really took care of us over the long weekend. We stayed at the resort and enjoyed Sydneys in the morning and Bullfrogs and even went over to Margaritaville. It was a great weekend! I can't say enough about the wonderful staff and hotel. -

My Perfect Small Wedding
I really can’t say enough about Lanier Islands. This was a destination wedding for us, so everything had to be done through email and phone calls, but that BY NO MEANS affected the quality of service I received from my sales manager, Jacob. We wanted and needed to go small, both for preference but also for budget. What we got for our wedding package was stellar! The ceremony location overlooking the water was so beautiful. The staff, from the front desk, to the audio technician, to the caterers and their attendants, were so kind and attentive and PRESENT. I knew I was going to be sacrificing things here and there by going small (about 40 guests) but I never felt like I was missing anything at all, they made it so beautiful. I also thoroughly enjoyed the lodge itself and my guests also fell in love. We can’t wait to go back for our first anniversary! -

Wow! I had an amazing experience with Jacob Walker and Lanier Island Resort as my wedding venue! I highly recommend this venue because they are profession and can cater to weddings from 50 guest count to 500 guest count. The ceremony sites are beautiful and private, the scenery is lovely from all angles of the lake and the well-maintained golf course with rolling hills and plentiful trees. There is plenty of parking and hotel rooms for guests with options of renting spacious lake houses for larger groups of people and a very nice honeymoon suite for the newlyweds. The hotel ballrooms range in sizes and can fit live a live band, dance floor, plenty of tables, buffet and bars. Also the food provided by the hotel is extremely tasteful, they make beautiful displays and bar tenders were very friendly. Lanier Islands provide wedding packages which are extremely helpful when it comes to organizing the small details, such as chairs and tables and linen table cloths, etc. Jacob Walker (social event planner for the company) is a joy to work with! Jacob has a very friendly positive attitude. He is fast and clear with communication, profession, present during the event to check in multiple times and worked in harmony with my wedding planner. I had a dream 3 day wedding starting with a smooth rehearsal ceremony and dinner Friday, a large outside wedding ceremony and indoor reception Saturday and then a final Sunday breakfast brunch. My guests were very pleased with the accommodations, there were signs and maps to help guide them around the resort, they enjoyed the scenery and loved the pool. My photographer got beautiful pictures with outdoor backgrounds of lake and rolling hills. Overall, I am extremely happy with my experience and give Jacob Walker and Lanier Islands 5 star rating!!! -

We got married at Peachtree Point Amphitheater March 2022 and our guest told us it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever seen! (It truly was). We had no decor at the ceremony because the scenery is just THAT beautiful. I’m a very last minute decision making bride which can make me difficult to work with but Olivia and Anna at Lake Lanier Islands we’re amazing help and made things so easy!!! Prices were comparable to the luxurious look, feel and service we received. Food was delicious! Close enough to Atlanta but far and different enough to make it feel like a destination wedding in Atlanta’s backyard. Couldn’t have asked for anything more! BEST DAY EVER!!!! -

My husband and I had our wedding at Lake Lanier Islands on October 17, 2020. We had our ceremony at Peachtree Falls. The view was breath taking. We had our reception on the lake at the Venetian Pier. All of our guest came up to us and told us how beautiful the venue was and that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to. Olivia was our wedding coordinator. She was great and very accommodating!! Cristina D was our banquet captain- she was amazing too! The food was really good. We had multiple guest come up to us and said it was very good!! Everything was perfect! We had the best time ever. -

My husband and I absolutely adore the lake so, of course, we had to check out Lanier Islands as a possible venue. Right away we fell in love with it. From the incredibly sweet and flexible staff to the gorgeous scenery, you will not regret having your wedding here. There were adorable rooms we used the day of the wedding to congregate in before the ceremony, and for the couple, a special room to have a moment to breathe in right after our "I Do's", which I will definitely cherish forever. We also really enjoyed having such a variety of backgrounds for photos, from the golf course, to the lake, to the greenery and garden area in front of the hotel. I cannot say enough good things about this venue! -

We got married a few weeks ago at Lake Lanier. We had our ceremony at Oliver Point and the reception at Venetian Pier. We, along with our guests, were extremely happy about how organized, professional and totally awesome the Lake Lanier team performed. Our guests ate our food at the cottage by the pier (they I guess did not know) and the team was quick to bring my husband and I some food before we went into reception. My day of coordinator was Jackie from Smooth ties the knot, she has done many weddings at Lanier and they have a great relationship. They took good inventory of the stuff we provided and we got everything back! They got this thing down so our day was stress free. I love that venue so much, I paid the $500 to have my ceremony at Oliver Point, it is just a beautiful spot overlooking the lake. Leading ip to the wedding, Celita was very responsive and friendly ensuring all details were taken care of. We are glad we chose Lake Lanier and we will be going back to visit through the yrs I am sure. -

I couldn’t have asked for a more memorable and beautiful experience! We got married at Peachtree Point and with the right decor elements, the venue was transformed into something even more beautiful than what it already is! I was worried that it would be too large for 120 guests but it was just right. I had room for an oversized dance floor and 2 carving stations. It was great! The entire staff was incredibly accommodating, professional, and polite. I’d like to specifically recognize Anna Shadburn, who stepped in 3 weeks before our wedding date to take over the catering manager role. Losing our contact 3 weeks ahead of the wedding made me very nervous, but with Anna’s help, we didn’t have a single hiccup. She was super responsive and very calm (which is exactly what a crazy stressed bride needs) :)
The villa suites were also so much fun to hang out in after our wedding! The bottle of
Champagne and strawberry gift from the staff were such a sweet touch. The valet staff and bellman were always eager to help us. One of the Legacy Lodge staff members even left in his personal vehicle to pick us up orange juice and other random things after the wedding. We felt like everyone went above and beyond for us, and felt very special!
Recommendations for LLI:
- Provide easier way to get vendors in and out of villa suites
- Middle aisle for Peachtree point (I hear this is in progress)

My husband and I got married at Peachtree Pointe at Lake Lanier in September 2019. We worked closely with Olivia Hinze up u til and during our wedding day and she was amazing! She answered the many questions that I had and worked to make sure our day was perfect. Also, our guests could not stop talking about how good the food was at our reception and also at our rehearsal and Sunday brunch. It made the wedding process much easier having almost everything in house and I would highly recommend someone to get married here! The ceremony was gorgeous! -

Lanier Islands is breathtaking from the moment you enter the gates! We got married on June 15, 2019 at Legacy Pointe. The views from every area are so serene that all of our guests couldn’t quit talking about it. Ljerka and the entire team at Lake Lanier exceeded out expectations!!! Starting from the very first visit to the property, continued through out the planning process and even AFTER the event was completed. We received prompt return phone calls and emails setting our curiosity's to rest. Ljerka worked with us to stay within budget, and have the wedding of our dreams. Her recommendations and suggestions for rehearsal dinner, evening gatherings, s'mores by the fire, breakfast brunch, and guests accommodations made our guests rave about how well organized and beautiful the entire weekend was. The team at Lanier was extremely attentive on the day of the wedding. We truly felt like royalty. We had lots of family in from out of town and they were all happy with the location and the staff. Our whole event was awesome including the rehearsal dinner. -

Lake Lanier (Pine Isle Point) ended up being the perfect location for our wedding! Our guests are still talking about how stunning the lake view for the wedding was (not to mention our photos!) as well as the entire property of lake Lanier with so many things to do. Ljerka, our event coordinator, was absolutely incredible! It quickly became apparent in the planning process that I knew I could trust her :) she was very accommodating, professional and quick to respond for any questions or requests plus super sweet and kind to work with! Everyone has said they enjoyed the food but the grits bar was definitely a favorite. All staff working the event were professional and nice as well as the front desk staff for check in and the vallet crew for the entire weekend were awesome! We can’t thank Lake Lanier and Ljerka enough for all efforts and patience that made our day so perfect!!

Dream wedding came true
Lanier Islands was the first and only venue we saw for our wedding. We were blown away by the lake views (duh!). It was exactly what we dreamed of. We initially worked with Andreja, and soon after Olivia joined our team...a dream team! Olivia took no longer than 2 seconds to reply every single email I sent to her throughout the wedding planning process. She was extremely helpful and made sure everything was perfect before, during and after the wedding! In addition to the wedding, we also hosted a Sunday Farewell Brunch, which was fantastic as well! The food was so good.. people are still talking about it. Everyone at Lake Lanier Islands was so nice to us, helpful, accommodating and professional. One of the things that we love the most about the LLII team is that they definitely know what they are doing. Everything was planned perfectly! We are beyond happy with our wedding. Definitely the best day of our lives. If we could do it all again we would definitely do it the same way! THank you so much to the entire team!! Waiters, staff, coordinators, bartenders, cleaners, set up staff,.. everyone was absolutely a pleasure to work with! -

We had guests from around the world. The venue offered room accommodations. They had food selections and cooking abilities in the cabins as well to suit all our guests needs. The venues were amazingly beautiful. The banquet department was outstanding in food service day of wedding. The food exceeded our expectations and was presented beautifully! The staff went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. They were kind and gracious always! -

Lily Sent on 03/22/2018We booked our wedding for PineIsle Pointe at Lanier Islands and loved everything about it! The staff was great to work with: Ljerka was our initial point of contact and then we worked with Olivia for all of the planning portion of our big day. They were great with communications both in person and via emails.
Any last minute changes, Olivia was quick to modify and adjust for us, which was so great to get feedback almost instantly.
On the big day, their staff was so attentive to all our guests, and everyone loved the food we selected from the tasting!
Overall, they took such great care of us on our day, and we highly recommend them! The view was amazing, but how easy Lanier Islands Weddings made the whole process of planning a wedding and their extraordinary level of service are what we highly recommend to others! -

Olivia and Wendi were in constant contact with me,making sure we would still be able to pull off an outdoor wedding. They did a great job changing venues and ensuring our guests comfort. It was still cold but beautiful.

Katie Sent on 10/12/2017Lanier Islands Resort is so beautiful. I got married there on 10/08/2017 during hurricane/tropical storm Nate and This place worked their butts off for me. This was the first and only place we visited when looking for venues because we fell IN LOVE with it. We took many trips up there prior to the wedding and it was always beautiful out. We worked with Ljerka Bilbija and Olivia Hinze and they BOTH WERE AMAZING. We knew Nate was coming on my wedding day so I decided I wanted to meet with Olivia the day before and texted her at like 9 p.m. the night before to see if we could meet and get a game plan because I was having an outside wedding. She immediately responded and told me she could meet me the next morning (even though she had other weddings going on that day :)) We decided to move the wedding inside and it was honestly just as beautiful. Every time I had an issue they immediately solved it and pretty much never told me no. I had a pretty small wedding and they worked with me to get the minimum down for the venue I wanted and treated me like I was having a huge wedding and made me feel as if I was the most important, definitely a feeling you want when planning a wedding! I feel like I must of emailed/texted them everyday with questions and they were always more than happy to answer questions and accommodate me. I had a destination wedding here and they made me feel as if this was my second home. I highly recommend having a wedding here, they are fully prepared for everything! <3

Amber Sent on 11/01/2015Wendi and Ljerka at Lake Lanier Islands Resort gave us a 10 star experience for our wedding!! This only allows me to go up to 5 but they truly went above and beyond. My husband and I got married at Lake Lanier Island Resort's PineIsle Pointe. LLI Resort has somehow perfectly mastered the destination wedding feel with a personalized and customized experience. My husband is from Ohio so we first looked at LLI because of the convenience of lodging and the weekend vacation aspect for our guests. I was worried that such a beautiful and established resort would have a very stiff wedding planning experience however. I was so pleasantly surprised when I met Ljerka and she wanted to brainstorm my dream wedding together so they could help make it a reality. They understand every bride and groom are different and didn't want me to select 1 of 3 predetermined options but instead wanted to help us create our dream regardless of that was. Our wedding weekend was the best of our lives and our guests are still talking weeks after about how it was the best wedding they've ever been to, how delicious the food was, how friendly the staff was, how beautiful the accommodations were and how they can't wait to come visit the resort again soon! The team at LLI Resort had every detail covered and even a few surprises thrown in like a complimentary honeymoon suite with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries there waiting on us after a getting married and dancing the night away. Do yourself a favor and call them now to schedule your tour to explore the possibility of getting married at Lake Lanier Islands Resort! You will not regret it!! We are already talking about planning a weekend getaway there for our one year anniversary and those to follow... Or maybe even our one month because we just can't wait to get back :)!!
